Heron Preston Will Make His New York Fashion Week Debut This February
Heron Preston will make his New York Fashion Week debut with a Fall/Winter 2023 runway presentation this February, according to WWD.
The designer, who graduated from NYC’s Parsons School of Design in 2007 and has lived in the city for almost 20 years, has never staged a fashion show on the American fashion capital’s official calendar. He did host a presentation for his collaborative collection with the NYC Department of Sanitation in 2016, but similar to other American designers, he ultimately decided to show in Paris beginning in 2017.
“The CFDA is delighted to welcome Heron Preston to the official NYFW schedule, an addition which reflects the growing importance of New York as a global center for creativity and commerce,” said Steven Kolb, chief executive officer of CFDA. “Heron’s homegrown talent has been showcased at international stages, and we are excited to have him here and form part of the collective strength of the American collections next month.”
Preston disclosed that the forthcoming collection will include pieces that “feel very New York,” as well as signature iconography that is “reflective of the city,” per the outlet. Additionally, the designer confirmed that he will unveil a new iteration of his 3D-printed sneaker collaboration with Zellerfeld, along with designs “inspired by found objects” that hold references to Americana, including varsity jackets and denim. “I really want to push the idea of a uniform and the new youth expression,” he said.
Preston has not yet confirmed whether he will stage his future shows in New York, nor has the official schedule been released for this upcoming season.

A Guide To Dress Codes (Women)
Black tie, white tie; formal, semi-formal. Festive! Casual! Hitting the right note with attire can be confusing. Here are the details of how to dress appropriately for any occasion:
➪ CASUAL DRESS CODE: refers to clothing that is informal and comfortable, yet clean and professional. It’s best to go with nicer casual wear and avoid the baggier items you wear around the house.
Sundress
Long or short skirt
Khakis or nice jeans
Shorts (depending on occasion and climate)
Plain T-shirt (no slogans), polo shirt, turtleneck
Casual button-down blouse
➪ DRESSY CASUAL: A dressy casual dress code is a versatile balance between formal and casual. This is the ideal choice for networking (or socializing) after work, fundraisers, or dinner at a nice restaurant.

Jamie Dornan Reunites With ‘Belfast’ Costar Caitriona Balfe at Loewe Show
Guests also included Taeyoung, K-pop band Nmixx, Catherine O'Hara and Naomi Campbell.
ALL-STAR TEAM: Even though the Loewe show was held on the outskirts of Paris, in front of the picturesque Château de Vincennes, hordes of fans made the pilgrimage in the hope of catching a glimpse of celebrity guests, who included NCT member Taeyoung and fellow K-pop stars Nmixx.
The show doubled as a reunion for “Belfast” stars Jamie Dornan and Caitriona Balfe. “I didn’t realize she was going to be here. She texted me last night as I was getting into bed,” Dornan said. “I haven’t seen her in a year, because she’s been off filming the final series of ‘Outlander,’ so I’m very excited to see her.”
The Irish actor teamed up again with “Belfast” director Kenneth Branagh for his latest project, “A Haunting in Venice.” Branagh’s third Agatha Christie adaptation promises to be another star-studded affair, with an international cast including Michelle Yeoh, Tina Fey, Camille Cottin and Riccardo Scamarcio.
“I finished just before Christmas and it was a joyous experience. We had such a tight little group of actors including Michelle Yeoh, who’s like, maybe, my new favorite person. We had little Jude Hill, who’s in the ‘Belfast’ movie, who plays my son. He’s in ‘A Haunting in Venice’ too so it was a nice little reunion for that too,” Dornan reported.
He admitted that he struggled not to be distracted by the humongous mustache sported by Branagh, who reprises his role as famed detective Hercule Poirot. “It’s very impressive, you know. It’s not altogether real, so there’s a part of you, like the naughty side of me just wants to, like, pull it off all the time,” Dornan said.
Now he’s gearing up to shoot the second series of TV show “The Tourist,” in which he plays the victim of a car crash who wakes up in the hospital with amnesia.
Dornan said he was looking forward to “everything” about reprising the role. “The scripts are incredible, like really mad and funny, and quirky and weird,” he said. “We’re getting to shoot it in Ireland, so that’s a bit of a win for me and I get to see some family. I literally start in a few weeks’ time so I’m very, very excited.”
