For many, this week is a Holy Week and a time where many come together in preparation and prayer for a blessed week so with the announcement of this tragedy let’s all at least try to keep those affected in our hearts and prayers as the search and rescue continues on.

Cyno Lore in the limited time event Windblume that takes place in Mondstat where he just happened to be visiting for a vacation: With the spirit of Hermanubis and his background as a dessert dweller he could have very well be subjected as a an experiment among those of the Akademiya. However through the compassion of a certain professor he was given the tools he needed to be one of the very few desert children that had received education while learning a way to control the ancient power that had once caused him great misery and strife. Driven by his strong sense of justice and through his professors help, he then became the General Mahamatra though he still faces the blatant discrimination due to his background leading him to have a tough exterior with very little genuine connection to anyone. Also, he thinks TCG is really rad and goes out of his way to share this hobby as a way of growing closer to someone.

I was looking at previous Japanese PVs and caught something interesting in the comments

First comment: 1:26. I really love how there’s this atmosphere of a trio who were friends as students, now grown-up and drinking together

Second comment (got cut off but gist is): I like how the Hangout Events aren’t affected by the protagonist’s gender

venti knows every song to ever exist and that will ever exist and as a result has heard an uncountable number of songs promising gentle affection and lifetimes spent together.

Kaeya & Venti’s Relationship

I both love and hate that Kaeya and Venti don’t have voice lines about each other.

They interacted in Windblume in the weirdest and most tense-filled interaction (my interpretation) I’ve seen yet, and Kaeya was not a part of the Dvalin quest, so he does not have confirmation (at least from Venti’s mouth) that Venti is Barbatos.

On top of that, we don’t have confirmation if Kaeya even suspects Venti as anything. Perhaps he does, because of his odd request to be a part of a poetry class with Venti and his even odder use of hilichurl to say something insulting (likely, if I understand this right) intentionally. If he didn’t look it up just for this poem, then he knows the language because of his connection to Khaenri’ah. (Learned on his own or shares the curse—which he should from my understanding of my recent completion of the Chasm.)

Now if the poem was just his way to get out some pent-up emotions or if he’s sending a warning to Venti, there’s no confirmation as of yet. And Venti, as always, seems to hide his true feelings and thoughts.

I so badly want to know if Venti knows Kaeya’s origin and how he feels about Kaeya being a Mondstadt citizen. And I want to know if Venti has grown on Kaeya at all, if Kaeya would side more with the Abyss sibling or has Dain’s more neutral stance.

Cannot wait for Mondstadt characters in general to deeply get back into the lore of Genshin.

Personally, I like the thought of the gods being different from how they are now, like very different, and that Celestia is more twisted than simply being a place, but also that Khaenri’ah isn’t completely innocent in its part of history, so there will be unfavorable truths about both sides revealed later on.

Additionally, I wonder if Khaenri’ah descendants are found, so far, only in Mondstadt because of Venti’s history of being an “absent” god, so it feels safer to join Mondstadt over Inazuma or Liyue because of their more hands-on gods.

Or, I wonder if there could be another explanation that has to do with Venti’s actions, or lack of action, in the past, specifically in regards to Khaenri’ah.

So many possibilities with these two. I constantly forget the timeline as well, so I forget Kaeya isn’t 500 years old and may not even have as strong of a connection or devotion to Khaenri’ah anymore.

But he still seems very shady at times, like he knows something, so I’m excited to see where that goes.

Happy windblume festival! How's genshin been treating you so far in terms of story and characters if you don't mind me askin

I am currently not up on the latest Archon Quest (so no spoilers pls) because I was dealing with some Genshin burnout, but I came back for Windblume and so far I'm really liking it! Some of my favorite things in shows or games with large casts is seeing characters *interact* on screen when otherwise they don't usually. So Windblume this year has absolutely been my jam. I'm not interested in the current banners (tho Deyha was fun to play in the trial run I already have too many claymore characters to raise XD), but yeah!

I’ve been thinking about this year’s Windblume event and how the Traveler constantly says they were “divining the wind” to get answers. And how that’s not even a lie, even though the game’s text indicates that they’re trying to fib. But the truth is that they really were talking with The Wind about it all. Venti is, and has almost always been, their first stop when they want to find out something about Mondatadt.

And also how even if Venti didn’t orchestrate the start of the prophecy event, he really was behind so much of it. He was the one taking care of the lantern! And he’s the one who made sure the group could actually find & reach it. It’s just—he really dotes on the Traveler doesn’t he?

Like, sure he could have led any Mondstadter there, but the Traveler asked him for help. They’re the one he handed the map to. And the moment they find him again at the end he’s so excited to hear if they had a good time. It’s the first thing he asked. Like this year, this is how he made Windblume wonderful for them.

All this is just me rambling about how much I adore the relationship between them. It’s so soft and gentle, even when there’s teasing, you can tell there’s something special between them. Venti was one of the Traveler’s first friends in Mondstat and one of Venti’s first true ally’s in saving Davalin. And they’ve basically been besties ever since

Switching focus slightly, Dehya’s gamestyle is absolutely PERFECT for my team. Increased resistance to interruption?? Wanderer is going to be kicking ASS with her!!!! She will be my sub-dps hehhe!

As for how her personality will fit on the team, I’m cackling over the fact that for when my team has a meal together, Wanderer will be drinking/eating the bitterest shit ever while Dehya is gagging and trying to get away from him. Since Dehya’s a mercenary, I assume she’ll like alcohol, so she’ll also be trying to get Diona to whip her up a drink and pissing Diona off. Kaeya is just sitting there enjoying the chaos.
