the one where gansey befriends a deer: the au

hey remember that time ronan dreamed up a deer that was described with language suspiciously similar to how adam’s described, because i sure do!!! anyway

OK.

ok. so. this au’s actually evolved a lot since its initial already-pretty-fleshed-out inception one sleepless night, so me talking about it’s gonna be more than one post, but here’s the first one well actually the second technically yesterday’s warmup doodles were also from this au but i didnt talk about it at all so

and I’m gonna start with more or less the same pitch I gave to a couple people on discord

SO. starting out: it’s standard fantasy times, vaguely medieval but no specific time period because I don’t care enough to be digging into that quite frankly, but it is somewhere in England where this is happening. Story starts with just Gansey, Ronan, and Noah. Fey are very real and known entities and there’s been a conflict in England between the fey and humans, if not in the whole country then at least in the lands that the Ganseys are the lords of but probably the whole island tbh, and Gansey’s not inherited the lands yet but he’s going to and wants to maybe find a peaceful resolution to the conflict. It’s not open warfare by any means but it’s been a big problem.

To the effect of solving that, he heads to some little village that I haven’t named but it’s right next to a known fey forest called Cabeswater. This village has avoided being stomped by the local fey because, despite witches not being particularly liked by the nobility of the time, there’s a big old coven (the psychics of Fox Way, essentially) situated right by this village that’s kept things in check. Gansey’s made his excuses to his parents about why he’s officially going there but really he wants to talk to the witches and get a better grasp of the conflict from the people actually dealing with it. He and Ronan set out from home together, pick up Noah along the way--who is not a ghost in this AU, he’s a fey who owes Gansey a life debt, that’s a whole other post and THIS post is mostly about gansey and adam--but anyway they get to this village and NOBODY gives gansey the time of day.

the witches don’t let him into their house because they don’t like the nobility right back thanks and the next time he tries to visit Cabeswater won’t even let him get to the coven’s dwelling, the one witch’s daughter who regularly stops by the village for supplies and to check if anyone needs anything has a big argument with him the first time he talks to her so that’s going nowhere, and, well, the villagers are polite, but they clearly don’t take him seriously. He’s just the lordling playing at things and potentially meddling in their business to them.

So he starts hanging out just barely within Cabeswater, even though he knows that’s not wise, because he finds this perfect spot by a stream, and he’ll sit out there and think and work on the journal he keeps of all his thoughts and plans, and one day while he’s there has a straight up Disney princess experience when a deer stops by the stream and seems incredibly unafraid of him. he cherishes the experience but accepts that it probably won’t happen again.

and then it does. several times. gansey’s losing his mind. this deer??? apparently likes listening to him info dump?? it’s very therapeutic and also very magical and he’s amazed

a few times in, he names the deer “Pryderi” after a character from a welsh legend, because “such a handsome creature deserves a princely name,” [[muffled blue laughing and whispering “princely” in the distance]], and he tells ronan and noah about this experience but ronan doesn’t believe him at ALL.

one time after gansey’s particularly upset at how bad his attempts at getting along with the villagers, Pryderi actually lets Gansey touch him for the first time and gansey cannot shut up about it to ronan who’s finally like “i think you’re bullshitting me about this deer thing. im coming with you next time” and gansey’s like “well he’s a deer he might not show up if a stranger’s around and he doesn’t come every time i go down there anyway” and ronan’s like “this sounds like a lot of excuses, dick, you’re not making me believe you any more with this” and gansey’s like “>8\”

but pryderi does show up, and gansey is delighted, and ronan stares really hard at him and then goes

and gansey’s like what? nooo. but ronan keeps arguing it for the duration of the visit and the deer actually starts to look annoyed and at the end ganseys like ok maybe but i doubt it. and then hes like “well since you are a fey apparently (/sarcasm) i ought to say farewell with respect” and bows very mockingly and then the deer makes direct eye contact with ronan and bows back and gansey loses his shit

gansey continues meeting up with pryderi but even while his infodumping still happens it does so now with the knowledge that He Does Actually Understand What Im Saying, he may be a fey but he seems like a friendly one and hey that’s way more than gansey thought he would get out here, and also this deer is his friend now thanks,

he, ronan, and noah (who’s amused by Pryderi but keeps his main thoughts to himself for now) make some excursions into cabeswater, but the thing is noah’s not really native to england, he’s from the european mainland, again i’ll get to it in another post sometime, but. he can sort of help navigate cabeswater but not all THAT well so they get lost a couple times, and every time it does happen pryderi shows up and helps guide them out. there’s some very funny moments of a very jealous ronan getting into weird conflict w/ a very smug deer

anyWAY one day there’s like a festival, everyone’s drunk because its the middle ages and there’s not really a drinking age, gansey’s making another effort to make friends with anyone, and this one guy about his own age is like “ok look here i’ll teach you the folk dance everyone’s doing ok?” and gansey spends the night dancing w/ a handsome stranger, yes he will recognize the irony in the morning, but for now it goes. well badly because they’re both drunk but it’s fun, and then the guy says “ah, fuck it, i’ll finish teaching you next time we see each other” and gansey’s like “thats a little forward but ok!” and the guy (adam. its adam) panics and leaves while gansey’s back is turned and gansey doesn’t remember that last snippet of conversation the next day nor can he quite recall the stranger’s face. ronan does, because he was watching and not sure which of the two he was jealous of, but neither of them has any idea who the guy actually was.

and then like, 3 days later, gansey falls asleep at the spot he usually hangs out in in cabeswater and wakes up in the early evening just in time to hear people yelling and for Pryderi to burst into view with an arrow in his flank. he collapses in a bush. gansey snaps into “protect friend” mode and gets the hunters off his trail by being all “oh a strange buck? i saw it pass that way over there friend!” and then when they’re gone he comes back and is all “alright pryderi they’re gone, let me just--” except pryderi’s not a deer anymore. it’s a boy.

(Adam. its adam. the deer is adam.)

gansey takes him home, gets the arrow out, noah’s like “i mean he’s not a fey, i dont know what turning into a deer is about but if he were fey the iron in that arrow would already have him dead. he might be partially fey but so little that he’s human in the ways that really matter”, over the next couple days they figure out that pryderi is in fact from the village and is a young man named adam parrish who’s been labelled a changeling and is assumed dead since he was yknow shot, gansey decides for now its probably best to keep him that way, but adam’s not getting better--apparently even having had the arrow in him as briefly as he did has poisoned him, he’s desperately ill and on the third day is finally like “get persephone” so gansey tries again (he’s tried several times over these days, they’d worked out that to have survived this long he must have someone else with a small degree of fey blood teaching him the ropes and the most likely suspects are the witches, but he’s hoping adam specifically asking him to will grant him permission enough to go in) and runs into a very frantic blue en route who as soon as he makes it clear he’s got adam is like “move your ass over on that horse im climbing on too”

they get persephone, who turns into a fox rather than a deer, she saves adam, everythings cool except adam’s pissy now because he cant go back to the village and he has to give up on the attempts he had in the works to get out of town by working his way out and he takes it out on gansey who doesnt deserve it because this friendship is a mess, he’ll feel bad and take it back eventually but thats yet more posts ANYWAY YEAH theres our starting point

(also worth noting: due to cabeswater being Right There, p much everyone in this village actually has a small degree of fey blood, adam just won the genetic lottery)

tl;dr adam’s a fey-blooded witch’s apprentice and he’s been the deer the whole time and thats the start of this au ty for coming to this ramble

I can’t imagine these guys on anything that comes close to society’s definition of a date

It’d be more like “hey you wanna come on this hunt with us?” “maybe, depends if there’ll be snacks” or like chilling in Spence’s room binging the entire star trek: original series in one sitting or “oops sorry about that level 11 entity that attached to my soul and is now wreaking havoc in your house, wanna make out later to make up for it?” “Fine but you also have to play three rounds of Call of Duty with me afterward”

They wouldn’t be romantic often but like highkey? I can see them throwing themselves into the line of fire for each other with a recklessness only they could survive

We can’t forget that Spencer is a more than 60,000-year-old overpowered demon/god/entity/thing, which, yes, could throw a slight wrench in this ship for multiple reasons, but I choose to make angst out of it instead.

Side note: Ghost is a chronic conspiracy theorist (and you can’t tell me otherwise) and every once in awhile Spencer will offhandedly say something like “Y’know I helped the Egyptians build the pyramids” and Ghost just goes fucking feral.

Look, I’m not saying Spencer IS touch-starved and most likely has issues creating and developing relationships and therefore avoids interpersonal connection, especially offline, but I AM saying he is prime material for it. (thats a lie thats exactly what shes saying don’t believe it) (I’m projecting okay dont judge me) (loser imagine projecting)

Imagine with me for a second: Why does Spencer willingly stay with a family who locks him in their basement with only minor complaining? He’s a near all-powerful entity just released into the world for Spence’s-sake - If he wanted to, there’s no telling what havoc he could wreak! So why doesn’t he? Why would someone so powerful, so terrifying, so dangerous that a group of people decided to seal him away forever stay with the first family he finds in sub-par conditions for years - especially someone who’s seen to be as high-maintenance as Spencer? Let me hit you with a theory: He’s chasing the feelings of validation, safety, and love - no matter how rarely it’s shown - that a family can provide. Being socially isolated for even a few years can do a number to a person’s psyche (I should know, I’m projecting onto this character right now), let alone thousands.

Now maybe Ghost can’t match thousands of years in isolation, but damn if he doesn’t have a few years of crippling loneliness on his record too.

I can see the two of them learning how to be vulnerable around others together, emotionally and physically; learning how to open up and how to talk through issues; and some third point, because points are better in threes.

(May I suggest that these losers are both trans but thats just me adding in my own projection lmao)

They really start off hating each other huh. Like, I know this can still lead to healthy relationships but neither of them are very good at healthy relationships with people he hasn’t known for his Whole Life so that’s an Oh No.

They totally feed off of each other’s stupidity (but this could be seen as a pro too so take that as you will) as well as anger - im talking one-upping each other kinda shit

Its ridiculous honestly how intense it gets, like they straight up need intervention sometimes because they dont realize they can just STOP

Conclusions:

I think this would be a relationship that would that a lot of time and hard work to make work, but i think in the end it would be really super cute!! Like it would make no fuckin sense to anyone else but somehow they’d understand each other and help each other through their similar issues. Also theyre both big nerds in different ways and i think they’d have just ranting sessions back and forth over and over and it would be soft!!!!! So yeah, i think it would work, at least, i want it to :D

So. Maybe?? I feel like it could, but they’d need to work pretty hard to make it healthy and not constant fighting. Could be stupid amounts of cute and wholesome but also could be stupid amounts of oh no and pain, depending on how the two act. If they learned how to get along with each other and work past their differences it could be super cute and soft. Just a very, er, bumpy beginning. And middle. And end. (this makes me very nervous,,,,why did you mention an end) (wouldnt you like to know weather boy) (TvT) UFDUNS bumpy but soft . Agreeing with the loser gay, want this to work it’d be interesting :3

JSE Theory: Convergence of the Egos (and other thoughts)

(I apologize if this is a little discombobulated and rambly as it is my first actual Ego theory that I’ve done in months. I do try to put in references to my evidence and thoughts, so bare with me and be gentle.)

Anti’s whole discussion at us is constantly talking about circles, going over and over. “How many times must we go through this?” “Again and again, over and over.” “F***ing circles!”

Also with “time is broken” and with the game Observation (played back during the month of May-hem 2019) basically being about timeline/universe convergence or really a convergence of any sort. As well as the events that happened on the JSE Discord server (more on this later), it indicated that something is happening. We know the egos know about each other. But a convergence of some sort isn’t out of the question. In Observation two separate timelines met, but we saw that even more meetings could have happened.

But what does this mean? What does a game about converging timelines, universes and stories mean for us?

It’s been theorized that Marvin is bringing everyone together with his magic. It’s been theorized recently that Henrik’s PhD is in computer science and/or theoretical physics (if we follow Avengers logic, it’s possible to have more than one). It’s been told/theorized that JJ is our actual time traveller (remember the JJ Powerhour/pumpkin carving video? “When am I? Oh jeepers - it’s much too early!”) knowing that he’s from the 1920s and 1930s silent film era. We’ve been told that Chase is our protagonist and that Jackie is our hero (referring back to Jack’s Ego Art Week posts). What could this mean and what is going on?

During Henrik’s clip from Oct. 19th, we see him looking at two computer screens. One of them holds the date March 25th, 2017 (as pointed out by a community member: one video on this date was a Google Feud during which was asked about killing a virus). But why would this be important? It’s also recently been noticed that the day before (March 24th, 2017) on Instagram, Seán posted a picture of himself sitting by a river wearing the original Chase hat staring at something (a phone?) - two and a half weeks before we got the Chase Brody Power Hour video (April 11th, 2017).

Why? What is going on and how important is this?

Well, again, Chase is our protagonist. Knowing that we had a reveal before we actually knew who he was does put an interesting spin on the story telling, moving Chase’s first actual appearance to earlier than we thought. Especially since it seems like Henrik was focusing on the next day, something was important here (was it the Google Feud video or something else?).

Adding Instagram into the fray, this means other appearance dates are also moved up - not as significantly as Chase’s, but still by a day or two (Jackie to July 9th, 2016, Henrik to September 14th, 2016, and JJ to October 29th, 2017). But, yeah yeah, you know the drill… Time is broken. It shouldn’t really matter…

Right?

Hm.. Seems to be a bit of a pattern still. Time being broken… Quantum time travel… A time traveling person from the past… A magic man who probably has a time spell of some sort...

While we’re at it, why not get all of these people affected by time together when most, if not all, of them are at their lowest - when they have nothing else to lose. Move them from their lowest times and gather them to fight their common antagonist, their “virus” - the cause of their fears becoming reality. Have everyone come together - converge - to fight their enemy.

Seán has pretty much confirmed at this point that what is going on right now with the egos is they are being brought together - almost Avengers style. We don’t know who is doing it - it could be Marvin or it could be Anti (an almost glitch-like “whoosh” noise was heard at the end of both Chase and Henrik’s videos). It may even be both, considering that we heard the sound effect after Henrik’s computer glitched as he was working on what has been believed to be a “time travel formula” (it was noticed he was dividing by infinity which is usually involved in quantum time travel). We also heard the effect as Chase was transported from the forest park to parking garage, missing a few items (perhaps the “glitching” part of it caused the phone and whiskey to vanish?).

Henrik is frantic - he seems to be running out of time. He’s trying to solve a problem, doing everything he can to figure it out. When was the last time he was this frantic? Kill Jacksepticeye| Bio Inc. back on August 3rd, 2017. He was trying to save Jack and it’s commonly believed that this was when Jack went into a coma - due to Anti - before Henrik disappeared for nine months and leaving the other egos (namely Chase, which is also during the time we start seeing more of Seán) to do the recordings.

What if, contrary to what we’ve been led to believe, the good doctor wasn’t on vacation? What if he was trying to figure out a way to… change the past, let’s say? What if he was figuring out a way to quantum time travel so that way he could prevent Jack’s coma from ever happening due to a certain “virus”? Of course we know, thanks to the glitching on the screen that Anti caught on and is probably wanting to make sure Henrik only succeeds when he wants him to (remember the “test failure” glitching in Henrik’s post when Anti was messing with the Ego Art Week posts?).

And of course Marvin, picking up on this and watching everyone, wanted to get him to safety? Wanted to get ALL the egos to safety. We’ve seen Anti in the car with Chase (looking at us because he wants us to feel powerless). We saw the glitching in the screen when Henrik was looking for the answers he needed.

Marvin knows they’re in danger and he probably pulled them away from what could hurt them - keeping certain items (i.e. a phone with internet capabilities, perhaps?) away from teleporting with them. Keep them away from the glitch and perhaps a solution can be found.

Oh… And one other thing.

Going back to the point about the JSE Discord server. (screenshots below, thank you to my friend @septicuniverse for grabbing them before the chat vanished - let alone still having them months later)

There was a theory going around. The “X No Evil” theory - I was one of the ones who posted on this. It was believed that Marvin was “hear no evil.”

Well… It’s hard to hear through a crystal ball. You can usually only see, not hear.

That being said, Marvin also said “This doesnt seem right.” Perhaps they were meeting in the wrong place at the wrong time. Especially with all of us watching. (which was the chat channel’s zalgoed name in caesar cipher offset 6 - and, good one since there are were 6 people in that room and there are 6 egos technically 7 but that’s been talked about before)

Among the community that knows about this event, it is known/believed that Marvin and Jackie were the ones that knew something was wrong. They knew we were watching (as I mentioned in my thoughts about Anti’s “gloating,” all of the egos know about us). They didn’t want to reveal anything to us, Jackie even going as far as to try and tell all of them to shut up. Things had gone wrong and if Chase’s reactions were anything to say, they had started off at one time frame and jumped to another.

Chase “couldn’t see.” Not to mention he had asked “what do you want from me?” to no one in particular. This hearkens back to the Dark Silence video (May 14th, 2018). The children laughing, haunting Chase… He was in a dark hallway with only a lighter to his name. He couldn’t see until he saw the red-lit doorway with Anti standing in the frame. “Where are they?” “What do you want from me?” There is also the connection to the third video from Stories Untold (May 7th, 2018), where at the end of the video, during a black screen, Chase is asking for Jack to “wake up.” That was the last words before the chat disappeared: “You need to wake up!”

Henrik, at the same time, seems to notice something went wrong with Chase. Perhaps some of his calculations went wrong for the time/quantum jump? It’s hard to tell. He’s trying to keep in touch with Chase, keeping the father grounded as the other seems to be freaking out jumping from timeline to timeline. At the same time he’s finding something about to happen right before the communications close, hence the “No, no!” But we don’t know what he saw, or what was about to happen.

There’s so much more that can go into this theory than I can put together in one mind set. Especially things about Chase seeming to go backwards in time. I do know one thing though:

Time is broken, but it’s time to fix things. It’s time to converge in one time, in one universe, to fight back and set things right.

100 things Jimin has said or done that has made me believe he’s an angel roaming and existing on earth

Jimin got worried over the fact that dogs only see two colors

Jimin broke apart dog snacks so the dog named Miri could eat them safely

In his birthday vlive when a fan commented saying as long as Jimins happy I’m happy, jimin said no I’m happy only when you’re happy

In one run episode where the game was about keeping your balloon jimin accidentally popped Jins ballon, later on when Jimin had lost his ballon he found another one which he then decided to give it to Jin because he popped his previous one

At the LY tour Jimin stopped singing for a moment to check on a fan who had passed out, he crouched down and watched on as people helped the person and didn’t budge until he got a signal that the fan was for sure doing alright

At GMA a little girl got to meet bts, she started to cry when meeting them. Jimin went immediately to comfort her, he hugged her, he caressed her head he even carried her across the stage because she wouldn’t let go of him

When asked in an interview who the best dancer Jimin did a whole show, jumping out of his seat, getting down on his knees and pointing at Hoseok, having Hoseok smiling and laughing at him

The owner of the calico cat (Curry) that was in the serendipity video said that before shooting the video Jimin wanted to get closer to Curry so that Curry wouldn’t feel nervous during the shootings

One of the staff members even mentioned that Curry might scratch him but jimin said that it’s okay even if she scratches him

Jimin heard if you kissed stingrays they will grant u luck so he kissed a stingray multiple times to grant enough luck for all of us

At the soribada awards one of camera men accidentally bumped into Jimin even though Jimin was in the middle of perfoming, he stopped up for a second and made sure the camera man who bumped into him was doing okay

Jimin once said said because Jungkook’s room is close to Jimin’s and because Jimin is the type to go to bed very late he tends to walks past Jungkook’s room to make sure he’s washed up before bed or turned his light off for him if he’s fallen asleep and forgot to do it

In a run epsiode where bts were to make kimchi, after struggling with making it Jimin commented on how he didn’t realize how much work was put into it and how from now on he’ll buy his mom kimchi instead of having her make it

Behind the scenes of the idol mv Jimin found a bug that was missing its leg he told it its a dangers place for it to be here and put it to the side so it wouldn’t get crushed

In a vlive Jimin said how Hoseok told Jimin he could play games at night if wanted to because as mentioned earlier Jimin tends to go to bed late because he can’t fall asleep for some reason and he tends to get bored of just being on his phone but Jimin said he doesn’t want to do it he doesn’t want the sounds to wake him up especially if the day’s been rough and Hoseok has made effort to go to bed in time

Jimin believes aliens exist and said that even though it wouldn’t do much for him if they existed the thought just makes him happy for some reason

Jimin always makes sure to go to each member’s solo project schedules no matter how early or how late the hours are to support them

During a run game where they were supposed to pick clothes for a member Jimin made sure to choose two pair of outfits one for a smaller frame one for a bigger frame (as well as a third one as a special)

During the promotion week of the Answer album Jimin got barely any sleep to the point where people could hear members encouraging Jimin to fight on before a performance yet you can’t see in the performances if he was tired or not because he always gave every performance his all

Whenever a member gets a punishment in run bts Jimin is more likely than not the person to offer himself to go with them: example he offered himself to go with Namjoon to climb a mountain when he seemed apprehensive about it,

he offered to even go with Jin in run bts when Jin said he’ll walk his way to the house they were staying in if it meant the rest got a treat

In the same run episode Jimin noticed Jin was getting tired of walking up the hill so he gave him a piggy back ride although jimin obviously got tired from it, when Jin asked him if he was tired he denied it

Not only that but in that same run episode Jimin had tried multiple times to play games to win drinks for bts

He even offered himself in the same run episode to peal Yoongi’s egg who said he really liked the egg but it was hard to peal it

In another run episode Jin joking said I’m upset because he was losing a game jimin heared him and asked him are up upset hyung, even gave him a finger heart to make him smile

At a recent performance Jimin saw Jin standing off to the side quietly so he quickly went to him and spread his arms out to hug him

Jimin said that the reason as to why he started to take Polaroid picture is because he wanted to save moments and memories with the members when there weren’t cameras around

When they first started out and struggled with money Jimin still got Hoseok a pair of very good shoes and it’s still a present Hoseok cherishes and keeps today

He also got Jungkook a bag so he wouldn’t have to carry around such a heavy one as his previous one was he even got Namjoon clothes because it seemed to be his style

K media even pointed out how Jimin is always giving thoughtful birthday presents to members and putting their tastes into consideration (like a bag for Jungkook, cardigan for Namjoon, hoodie for Jin etc) They also pointed out how Jimin was always the one who is holding a cake on their bday videos

In Taehyung’s birthday bangtan bomb when eating Taehyung’s cake JImin knew that Hoseok doesn’t like sour flavors and since the cake had sour toppings on it Jimin seemed concerned about whether he’d be able to eat it. Hoseok looked really touched at the comment but said it’ll be okay but Jimin still told him which one’s he should eat to avoide the sour flavors

In a Bangtan bomb Jimin checked up on everyone and went to each members bed and wished them a good night, he even stroked Jungkook’s hair lovingly while wishing him a good night softly

Because Jungkook recently injured himself he wasn’t able to dance along with the rest during the performances, at one point while they were performing Jungkook got so upset he started crying, Jimin who was all the way across the opposite side of the stage stopped performing and ran to Jungkook to comfort him

Jimin also said the same day in regards of Jungkook’s injury “ I know you all are worried about Jungkook, but if Jungkook goes home like this today, all he'll do is cry. on three, everyone say I LOVE YOU JUNGKOOK”

Jimin stayed by Jungkook’s side during the concert where he was injured comforting and cheering him up for more than a minute and leaving only when Taehyung came to make him company

Jimin stood with Jungkook when he was injured, he sang for him and with him, he made him laugh and smile he held onto him while he was crying with the most endearing look on his face to exist

In a bon voyage episode Jimin and Namjoon had to walk uphill Jimin made a comment on how he felt bad for the staff because they had to carry heavy equipment up with them

In a bon voyage episode Jimin and Jungkook bought slushies for the staff that were with them, Jimin went up to the staff and made sure everyone got one by asking them mupltiple times about it

In a bon voyage epsiode Jimin said that as a child he wanted to be a pirate and he promised his mom he’d be the number one swordsman in the world, he didn’t know pirates were bad back then and felt embarassed confessing it

Jimin said if he could have any job he’d be a cop

Jimin once took pictures of graffit art that said things like fuck you and literally went and changed it so it would say i love you he even went and cropped out an inappropriate part of another graffiti picture

When Jimmy Fallon fell down to the floor from laughing Jimin quickly made sure he was’t hurt and asked him how he was doing (albeit such a simple thing I found it endearing he’d do this when this is one of his most common habits)

In one run epsiode even though Jimin solved most of the puzzles for his team at the end of it he said teamwork is the most important thing and gave his team all the creds for it

In a run episode where they were to make and drink coffee Jimin knew Taehyung doesnt drink coffee and he made sure that everyone knew about it. he even asked the instructor if Tae could make a hot chocolate instead

During an episode of Bon voyage Jin was too busy cooking food to eat Jimin quickly called him over when he noticed it and told him to have some even made sure to feed him some pieces before it was all eaten

In a episode of bv where Taehyung had yet to arrive there, when someone said something about how this was a friendship trip Jimin got upset and asked how is this a friendship trip if Taehyung is missing he said Taehyung has to be here for it to be a friendship trip

When Jin and Jimin were ordering sandwhiches Jin ordered first 7 until he remembered they were 6 and you could clearly see Jimin got upset over the fact that Taehyung wasn’t here he even graoned and said come on Taehyung

Because Yoongi had a private emergency while they were filming bv he had to leave. Hours after Yoongi left bts were back home playing their own songs, when Yoongi’s part came on Jimin quickly went out his room and said Yoongi hyung i miss you

When Taehyung asked what the biggest room is in the bon voyage house they were staying in Jimin got too excited and quickly told him which room is the biggest even though the rest of the members agreed to not tell him got really embarrassed and made the cutest face to exist

Jimin didn’t take any sides in tae and jins fight that happened in burn the stage instead he showed them both what they did wrong and adviced them how to go from there

Later on, before their concert, Jimin noticed that Taehyung was visibly still upset over the fight before so he went up hugged him and even gave him a pep talk

In burn the stage when Jin and Taehyung were fighting everyone left them to talk in private but Jimin stayed although hidden in the back and out of view for them, once they were done he walked out and offered to get food togeher he even microwaved the food for them

when Jungkook neeeded paramedic assistance Jimin stood to the side and let them do their job but he wouldn’t leave until he knew Jungkook was doing better

Jimin kept talking about how he was thankful they choose to go to Malta for Bon Voyage after he had seen how pretty the moon looked there

In one epsiode Jimin even kept talking excitedly about how he spent a whole afternoon just talking with the cats in the area of Malta

During Buzzfeed’s puppy interview they got a puppy who was quiet shy and timid Jimin soon took him in his arms he played with him for most the interview and gave him kisses and cuddles when he put him down to go to other members the puppy wouldn’t budge and went back to his arms even when the interview was ending and he was putting him down the puppy went back to his arms

Even though Jimin first said in the summer package that when he first heard they were going to see stingrays he was kind of scared but he still felt he wanted to pet them and kiss them and he found it endearing how sweet they were being when you tickled them

Jimin said whenever he does a vlive he feels like he has to prepare himself before doing it and that’s why he takes so long to come on there and apologaized for it

In an episode of run bts Taehyung got sad after hitting the ball in the wrong direction when playing badminton, he started to walk away. jimin saw it and quickly called him and held his hand to comforting him

Someone once called jimin perfect on vlive he genuinely looked confused and asked perfect? how?

whenever jimin falls on stage he’s quick to brush it off and move on from it but whenever someone else falls on stage like tae did for example in the recent concert he wouldn’t take his eyes from him until he was assured Taehyung was doing okay

In a vlive Jimin did with Jin, when saying goodnight he made sure to say goodnight to fans in as many different time zones as possible

When arriving at the Billboard music awards, while the rest were in awe of all the fans that were waiting outside for them, and even the signs that were there for them, Jimin was concered over the fact that they were out waiting in the heat and how it must’ve been like waiting

Jimin also once went to apologaize to all fans who were waiting outside for them to perform, he said it must be hard for them and that they should’ve hurried to get ready and perfom faster, he felt bad and felt like he keeps having fans wait for them

Jimin gave away 60 signed cds of his for all the 60 students at the elementary school he once went to and even paid for the uniforms for the kids that were entering middle school that year

Jimin and tae both gave away their clothes to an organization that sells celebrity clothes and where the profits go to children

Jimin once bought 50 kimbaps when for just dance academy students when they were having their recital last year

a student from jimins elementary school also said said jimin personally called the school and said he wanted to sponsor the graduates scholarships

Taking care of Jungkook is literally is one of the things jimin put on his ‘small but definite happiness list’

In one bv episode you can see jimin walking to Jungkooks room, waking him up asking him if he went to bed immediately when jungkook said yes he praised him for it he even told him to be careful with his joints in the morning when he was stretching

In the summer package jimin asked tae if he could make a snack for him whilst tae was making a snack for himself which tae did Tae was watching something when doing this for Jimin so Jimin found it endearing that he’d bother to do this for him when in the middle of something and kept patting his head and cooing and prasing him

When asked who his favorite member is jimin said that all of the members help him or advice him in one way or another’s that if he has a problem they all deal with it together

During the past few ly concerts Jimins has had aches in his back but he didn’t say anything and kept pushing on perfoming

In Jimin’s and Jin’s recent vlive jimin absently said because theyre having dinner in Jimins rooom jins room won’t have to smell of food

when guest starring in please take care of my refrigerator Jin said Jimin’s been a humble person ever since he was born

When in bv Jimins group didn’t have money to pay for their fairy jimin quicky told them to take his wallet to pay with it

When hobi was shooting videos for his mixtape jimin went and visited him and even brought him a gift

this one time jimin told taehyung “even if i cant help you i can give you strenght”

At the backstage of billboard music awards Jimin talked about how he was very nervous to deliver his award speech but he kept on thinking if they win this award he has to deliver this message

Jimin once spent a good amount of time trying trying to read on trashcans if the trash bin contains non-biodegradables so he could throw rj’s plastic packaging

During an interview with Grammy museum, when the interviewer mentioned the fans jimin got the most endearing smile on his face turned to the crowd and smiled at them, he even decided to answer the question that was fan related

when asked to choose between people plants or pets jimin choose people and pets

Jimin wrote a letter to yoongi telling him to take care of himself and rest well and that he worries about him and his body when hes over working himself for things

When playing around with yeontan jimin wanted to give him a snack but he first went and called tae to ask if it was okay to do it before he gave him it

As jimin was perfoming at the ly tour he saw a fan cry he told them to not cry to smile and that they(bts) loves them

During the time tae was away in bv jimin kept him updated with what was happening with videos and photos

When doing a vlive jimin noticed a lot of people being worried about him in the comments he quickly adressed it and told them to not worry that he’s eating well and taking care of himself

Even in an interview jimin told fans that they’re all taking care of themselves and eating well and to not worry about them

in one run epsiode hobi was making food on the grill and when jimin noticed he was struggling he went to help him, even when hobi didn’t ask for him to get him scissors he literally ran all the way to the kitchen to get them

In a vlive Jimin said he likes being around his members he wants to be around with them. he like being together with them.

Even as Jimin was leaving his hotel even as he was passing by with a car he made sure to great armys who are waiting outside for them

When signing things Jimin blew on his autograph extra well making sure its nice and dry so it won't smudge before moving on with the next item

Whenever he’s drawing something for us he spends hours upon hours into it, putting a lot of time and effort into it and once spent a whole day drawing a page for their colorbook

namjoon said jimins a person who needs lots of love and attention

jimin said he wants to be know for his sincer heart

In a vlive jimin said that perfoming at the Bilboatds isn’t everyone gets to do you can see he was really honored and touched by getting the chance to perfom there

when tae arrived to the bv location jimin kept holding him, holding his hand, telling him he loves him and excitedly chatting with him

jimin really doesn’t like to do vlives alone solely because he enjoys constantly being surronded by his members and when they arent around he misses them

Jimin got a water bottle for seokjin which BTS ended up sharing between them all jimin waited patiently but ended up being last and getting a tiny bit of it

at a ly concert jimin kept comforting the fans that were crying on one side then when he himself ended up crying later on he came to that side and cried

jimin is the most amazing wonderful thoughtful considerate person there is he would literally give the clothes off of his back if you asked for it his heart is as pure as his soul he has the biggest heart and the purest soul in the world he deserves all the good this world can give and more

ramblings on guild wars 2 storytelling

im thinking about.... the shadow of the dragon

like ok idk if i should tag this as spoilers at all because it’s all old news, but im really thinking about the shear cleverness that the writers at arenanet had for the shadow of the dragon. like in the dream / prologue quest for sylvari, even caithe doesnt know what the shadow of the dragon is--she says it’s like nightmare court influence, and shit man! the quest is even called “Fighting the Nightmare” like a big fuckin red herring to what the shadow of the dragon really is. and ok upon writing more, im gonna put everything under a cut and tag it anyway because there are definitely spoilers for everything between the ending of the personal story to the end of living world season 2. let me know what you think !! also heres a hot pic of my sylvari but go ahead and read the rest below:

so.... the dream. caithe tells you one thing, but you even go to the pale tree eventually and shes like “this is a sign that you must fight and defeat the elder dragon. uh zhaitan, i mean--definitely--definitely zhaitan, no one--no one else, nope, all zhaitan.” and you as the player just Accept It. and why wouldn’t you accept it! you TRUST her, she’s the first leader figure you know of when you first start as a sylvari, and if youre playing the game for the first time as a sylvari, she’s really the ONLY leader figure you know of, and it’s fascinating and immersive. you really feel like you can trust the pale tree because everyone sets her up to be the wisest among the sylvari, and the widely-accepted assumption is that she created the sylvari anyway. even if you chose the green knight sub-dream thing and meet Malyck, learning that he probably came from another tree, the theories just stop there: there must be other trees. of course, some researchers would take note that there were several seeds in the cave from which Ventari got the one seed, and their next question had always been, “but where did the seeds come from?” and who would even think about there being some overarching thing like a dragon being the source of the seeds??

back to the dragon: what i really wanted to get at was the Wyld Hunt. caithe helps you fight the shadow of the dragon, and the pale tree tells you it’s your wyld hunt to track down the aspects of the dream--the image you see (the white stag, the green knight, or the shield of the moon), the aphorism of ventari, and Zhaitan. she tells you that a major part of your wyld hunt is to kill zhaitan. to me, i feel like the other two things are smaller; theyre less awe-inspiring and amazing and risky, and the game sets them up to be solved over the course of like.... a couple days. once you’re at the right level, of course. the zhaitan campaign is LONG and requires the three orders of tyria to come together, and you form an entire guild, you fight for and lose Claw Island, the main lookout spot for the trade center of all of central tyria, like there’s weight to the zhaitan campaign that the other two sub-dream things just don’t have, and not only does the game set it up that way, but the writing itself makes you FEEL the weight of it. you even lose your mentor to zhaitan, so that really, to me, solidifies zhaitan as the Pinnacle sylvari player character antagonist.

snap cut to Trahearne cleansing Orr. this is his wyld hunt, and it’s Big for him. think about it--he’s been working towards this for thirty years; he’s the FIRST firstborn, and he has been working towards his wyld hunt for the entirety of the sylvari existence. when you help him cleanse orr, and you’re standing there watching him bask in realizing that he was able to complete that task, you can just feel how meaningful that moment is to him. in my mind, the sylvari player character expects that to be what they’re gonna feel when they defeat zhaitan--remember, they probably didn’t get that with the other two accomplishments, even though those things were also major parts of the dream.

so you fight zhaitan, and..... you win. the pact wins, zhaitan goes down, and theres a huge party in fort trinity. there’s no.... like..... game mechanic that would give you the feeling or satisfaction of completing a wyld hunt, and the time that i first played the personal story, it felt..... underwhelming. if i was to imagine it from a sylvari perspective, at least (my commander is human, but my sylvari is with him through the story, so ideally he would get the sylvari-centered dialogue). even when you talk to caithe, she says, “Our shared Wyld Hunt started together, so it's fitting that we end it together.” caithe Says that you completed your wyld hunt, and that’s really the only validation you get as a sylvari in this epilogue. on first glance, that really seems like.... kind of bad. like a bad wrap-up. thats it? thats my wyld hunt? what about trahearne’s moment of exhilaration? and you even talk to him later and hes like realizing how much of a weight was lifted off of him in finishing his wyld hunt, and hes absolutely living for it--but for the sylvari player character? you get none of that. like i said, at first glance, this almost sort of seems like a weird cop-out, like the writers just didnt know what to do or how to translate that feeling from trahearne to the player character. even when the character says “yes! i completed my wyld hunt!” it’s.... sort of dry. in my mind, it’s meant to feel dry: like even the player character can’t convince themselves that they really completed it, and of course, we’re not convinced either as the players.

flash forward to scarlett’s war. flash further to living world season 2. if you played it, you know exactly where im going: you go to the leadership summit in the omphalos chamber in the grove to talk about the new elder dragon situation, and lo and behold.... the shadow of the dragon appears. for non-sylvari player characters, this is just kind of a whatever moment--it’s WILD, and it’s surprising, and you realize there’s really more trouble brewing than anyone expected, especially any of the racial leaders, right?--but it’s not..... a discerning, familiar, ironically-terrifying moment. when youre a sylvari player character, you practically saw this coming. I really imagine this as the moment--the Defining moment--that the sylvari player character realizes that their wyld hunt isnt actually over and only just began with the death of zhaitan.

and then you go through the rest of season 2. you follow caithe’s memories in order to find her, and in these memories, she and faolain are trying to track down another firstborn whom Knows something. you go through three significant memories, and once you get to the cave that houses the third memory...... and you realize exactly where the sylvari came from. beyond the pale tree, beyond ventari, beyond malyck, beyond the seeds, beyond the cave--it all comes down to the dragon. the dragon Mordremoth. if you’re sylvari, you realize it on a level beyond that which anyone else in the immediate vicinity can even comprehend. for my characters, my human commander learns the truth, and his sylvari boyfriend has to just watch him turn around and process the information in silent horror. then of course, you face the shadow of the dragon for Real. and THIS is the moment the sylvari player character’s wyld hunt is truly completed. i imagine that after defeating it, the sylvari player character actually Has that moment of satisfaction that trahearne experienced the year before, and it feels spectacular. it’s everything they expected it to be!

but it’s instantly overshadowed by the full realization that sylvari are dragon minions to modremoth. small victories and huge defeats, much like we’ve seen in many of the more recent chapters. much like we saw with the end of the mordremoth campaign too, much later.

really i made this post out of my own complete realization that the magnitude of the sylvari wyld hunt wasn’t cruelly brushed aside or downplayed in the personal story; rather, it was purposefully downplayed because the sylvari player character hadnt completed their wyld hunt as the pale tree “wisely” suggested. and to bring that back in season 2 and Continue to utilize this concept of small victories crossed with massive defeats.... look i just think this stuff is great, i just keep learning more and more about this game and all its compelling uses of storytelling, and i hope this made sense because it’s 2:30am as im writing this sentence, and i ALSO hope you find it as compelling as i do

I Take Your Heart On Tour with Me (Taehyung x You ONESHOT)

A/N: I have been playing around the idea of writing a fic about how it would looks like if you actually date a celebrity or even worse an idol. It must be hard to date someone who isnt always around and is well know internationally, having millions other girls showing affection towards your loved one isnt it? Then the first two requests came in and I decided to combined it. Hope this fic will do justice to what I actually want to potray <3

And as for the third ask, I was really literally writing this last night when your request came in. Seriously, I'm shooked. Are you three anon the same perrson or are you just good at reading each others mind? :D

And to everyone out there who is in a long distance relationship and survives, you guys are my hero! I cant bare to be away even for a day from my significant other. Hahah.

MASTERLIST

"Happy birthday baby," Taehyung smiles at her. His beautiful unique smile that she loves so much. That she missed. Y/N wish she could touch his face, traced and feel the warmth of his skin against hers, inhaling his scent and hearing his laugh as his warm breath tickle her ears. She wished for that every day and she hopes that it will come true. Maybe some day it will. But for now, seeing Taehyung through the frosty screen of her computer is good enough.

"Thankyou baby," Y/N smiles although tears has already visited the corner of her eyes.

"What did you wish for baby?" Taehyung asks her, a sad smile grazing his face as he saw the love of his life being so sad on her special day. He wishes he was there. To hold her, touch her, hug her, kiss her, make love to her. He missed her more than any words could have ever explained.

"I... I wish that you are right here with me. Thats all I ever really wanted," Y/N sniffled and smile softly at the screen. Taehyung raised a hand and traced the screen of his laptop, wishing he was touching her soft skin instead.

"I'm really sorry baby. I cant be there with you. But you know I wanted that too more than anything in this world. I miss you too much Y/N. I love you," Taehyung looks at her, his usually piercing eyes turns soft.

"I know Tae and its okay. One day we will be together again," she smiles, not wanting to upset her beloved boyfriend. "And I miss you so so so much and I love you very much too Kim Taehyung,"

Taehyung smile at her declaration of love. He will never get tired of listening to it.

"I know you are sad I'm not there with you on your special day baby, but I did sent you your gifts. It should arrive any day now. So I hope it will make up for me not being there, even for a little bit,"

"Thanks baby. I will definitely let you know when it arrives. And no, nothing could ever compare to you Tae, no matter how many things you sent me,"

"Aww baby. I'm so sorry," he dropped his gaze, sad. "I need to go baby. We have sound check before the concert. I love you so much. I will call you after the show like always okay. Take care baby," Taehyung leans and kiss the camera, making Y/N giggles and he waves quickly before the screen goes blank.

This is how her relationship with Kim Taehyung is. Most of their relationships are made on texts, phone calls, video calls and Skype. But its okay, because they love each other too much. Its their fourth year of being together, and its also their fourth year of not being able to celebrate each other's birthday together. While Taehyung gets to celebrate his birthday with his brothers and his million fans all over the world, Y/N will wait patiently every year on this day for him to call and wish her, all from a computer screen.

Meeting and falling in love with Taehyung is never something she could have ever imagined would ever happened to her. Sure, she have heard of their band before, but she never dwell deep into them. Who they are, how they looks like. She just doesnt have the time. Being a medical student, Y/N is always busy. But its also because shes a medical student that fate brought her and Taehyung together. They met in a hospital one fateful day, when Y/N was covering a shift for her friend who suddenly had an emergency that day. Having a practical internship at a hospital is a part of her course as a medical student, and her day has never been more interesting than the day she saw Taehyung helping a limping Namjoon entering the hospital in panic.

Y/N was the first person he saw that looks like a doctor and he screamed at her to help his hyung without knowing that the hospital is a teaching hospital and shes only a student doctor who isnt allow to act on patients without a senior doctor. Panicking and almost crying from being yelled at so harshly by Taehyung, Y/N help to carry Namjoon to an emlty bed and examined him on her own, only to find out that that the older boy is only suffering from a crack toe, a result of being clumsy and accidentally kicked the dinner table, something that Y/N now knows happens a little too many times.

Y/N was in trouble with her supervisor that day. Not only she didnt informed any of her supervisors and work on a patient all by her own, she didnt even know that the members are considered VIP patients at the hospital and was supposed to be given the VIP treatment. After witnessing himself how Y/N gets yelled at because she helped Namjoon on her own due to his excessove anger and yelling, Taehyung felt guilty and tried his best to make up for it.

Friendly visits and apology dinners turns to friendship and in a matter of weeks, Taehyung and Y/N falls in love.

Its hard for the two of them, yes. Taehyung is barely in Seoul, flying all over the world, each trip taking him months. Even when he's home his schedule is extremely pack. And as a medical student approaching her final years, Y/N has to managed between hospital duty and extra early classes, assignments, exams and even research and presentations, and their schedule often clashes. They miss each other a lot, the love and the short memories that they have of each other are the only thing that keeps them holding on to one another.

Its hard to see someone you love and miss on TV, smiling and waving, holding hands and flirting with a million screaming girls. Y/N knows they are only his fan, but still, it hurts. Even worse when their relationship is not even public, making Taehyung single and available as far as everyone in the world knows. It hurts so much, but its the price to pay for dating someone amazing like Taehyung who always knows how to make her smile even from a million miles away.

Whenever they did get the chance to see each other however, the feeling she felt in her chest is magical, amazing and extraordinary, and thats how Y/N knows that Taehyung is worth fighting for. And she hopes Taehyung feels the same way too.

Every last goodbye, every kiss they shared before Taehyung had to hopped into a plane and leave her again hurts, not knowing when will be the next time they will see each other again. But just from the smile Taehyung gave her every time before he leaves makes her believe that Taehyung will come back to her again.

"Who is she?!"

"Baby, I already told you shes just the actress for our music video," Taehyung sighed. Fighting over video calls is something both of them hate. Its tiring, exhausting, disappointing and it never ends. They tried to avoid it as much as they can, always convincing one another to believe in each other and wait until they will see each other again to solve it. But whats long distance relationship without the fights and jealousy right? And just like every other couple, the green eyes monster appeared once in a while to haunt them.

"Oh yeah? Then why are you looking so smug while you wipe off the ice cream from her lips huh? And that is definitely not a part of the video!" Y/N is furious. She came back after a 48 hours long shift to rest and relax only to find the news is littered with stories and photos of her boyfriend out on an ice cream date with an actress from their video. A oretty one too, looking at him with heart eyes. Of course the internet is going crazy, shipping the two good looking couple together, hoping the ship is real.

"Okay baby. I wont lie to you," Taehyung raised his eyes and looks at her through the screen. Eyes tired and sad. "We have gotten closer and I was just so lonely..."

"What?" Y/N looks at him straight in the eyes. What is Taehyung trying to tell her? "T-Tae.. are you trying to tell me that you really did cheat on me?!".

"What?!" Taehyung leans in closer to the screen, trying to see his beloved girl teary eyes. "Baby no! Of course not! I would never do that to you,"

"T-Then what are you trying to say?"

"I-" Taehyung sighed. "I-It occured to ny mind baby... I was so lonely and I missed you so much and she was just there and seems so interested in me.. and cheating on you just occured in my mind. But I didnt do it baby! I didnt do anything about it! I didnt a t on my feelings!"

"W-What?" Tears starts to flow down her face as her heart felt pain that is new and unbearable to her. How could Taehyung even thought of doing this to her? How could he?

"Baby, please stop crying. I'm sorry baby. I'm really sorry," Taehyung himself is crying now. He knows he didnt actually cheat but what he did is just as worse. How could he even think of that when he already have the most perfect girl in the world waiting for him? Sacrificing all her chances of being in a normal relationship for someone like him. And him? At the first chance he gets, he already thinks about cheating on her? He is really a jerk who dont deserve her. "Baby, I'm sorry. I was wrong. I know that. I shouldnt even have thought of that. It shouldnt even have crossed my mind. My loneliness gets too me but I suddenly remembered you. And how you must be just as lonely and sad like I do and its all my fault for not able to be with you all the time, but yet you never thought of shitty things like me. I am so sorry baby, please," Taehyung traced the screen, wanting so much to hug her, kiss her tears away and hold her until she believes that he truly loves her and only her and he wont ever do it again. But for now, all he can do is looks at the love of his life crying through a screen, all because of him, a thousand miles away. "Baby please... I didnt do anything about it baby, please.l," Taehyung begged.

"So just because you managed to hold yourself back this time I'm supposed to congratulate you?" Y/N sobs

"I- I cant do this. I need time to think,"

"Baby dont!" Taehyung panics. Never in their years of relationship has Y/N ever shut him out or needed space from him. He knows he screwed up real bad now. He still have 4 months to go for this tour and there is no way he can wait 4 months to sort this out. He will lose Y/N for sure. "P-Please baby. Ill do anything. Lets talk this out. Now. Dont log off. Dont shut me out please. Y/N baby please!"

"I cant Tae. I'm sorry," and the screen went blank.

"Fuckkkk!" Taehyung yelled out and pushed his laptop off the table in frustration. The loud noise it made caused Jimin to rushed into the room only to see Taehyung in a distressed state.

"Tae? What happened?"

"I fucked up Chim," Taehyung sat sprawled on the floor, everything scattered around him. "I think I will lose her forever and I cant have that,"

"Oh Tae..." Jimin didnt know what else to say. He figured it must have something to do with Y/N and the rumor flying around about Taehyung and the actress. So he sits down beside his best friend and hugs him tight, rubbing his back in comfort, listening to Taehyung's cries all night long.

Its been three weeks now since Y/N didnt allow him to contact her and Taehyung is going crazy. His schedule passed by him like a dream, fanmeets, shoots, practices and performances but he cant remember a thing. All he can think about is Y/N's tear stained face everytime he closes his eyes. How can he be so stupid?

Its already bad enough to be in a long distance relationship where they are apart more than they will ever be together. Trust is already always an issues for couple suffering from long distance relationship, and with what he did, Y/N has every right more than ever to not trust him now.

Scrolling through her social media is the only thing he can do when he miss her, and even that she didnt update often. He miss her. He wants to know whats shes been up to, how shes doing, hows her day, did she sleep well? Eat well? Is she stressed out? What about her patients today? Taehyung wants to know everything and he misses the way Y/N would tell it to him every day during their calls. So if stalking her social media is the only way to do it, then he will gladly do it.

"Urgh, she doesnt even update!" Taehyung grumbled in frustration.

"Have you checked her tagged photos? Someone might tagged her so you could see her recent activities," Jungkook voiced out from the other bed, not even bothering to look up from his phone. Taehyung thought for a moment and silently thank the maknae for his brilliant idea. Hopeful, he opened the tagged photos tab and true to Jungkook's words, there are a tons of pictures of Y/N's recent activities.

Y/N with her friends in school, in their scrubs, having dinner, a birthday party and so on. She looks alright, Taehyung figured as he looks closely at beautiful her face. A little thinner and her smile is not so bright like it usually does and it her eyes definitely doesnr have the twnkle it usually holds. Does she perhaps missed him too? Thinks about him too? Just as much as he is?

I'm so sorry baby...

Taehyung scrolled further and a few photos caught his attention. Its still a photo of Y/N with a bunch of friends but theres a specific guy who is always by her side and in some photos even putting his arm around her. That bastard even captioned the photos with sickeningly sweet words.

What the hell? Dont he know that Y/N is his?

Wait, obviously he doesnt know because Taehyung didnt allow Y/N to tell anyone about their relationship. Y/N is as good as a single girl in other men's eyes! Curious and feeling his heartbeat is getting faster wuth anxiousness, Taehyung clicked on the man's profile and learnt that the man is a doctor at her hospital and he obviously have a crush on Y/N. It irks Taehyung how he doesnt even hide the crush he has on his girl!

Sinister thoughts starts to enter Taehyung's mind. Words he didnt want to believe whispering in his ears. Did Y/N found his replacement? A better man? A nicer man? Someone who will always be around for her instead of travelling all over the world for most of the year? Someone who she can tell everyone about their relationship? Someone that is a doctor? A more noble job than he will ever be as an idol?

Someone that is not him?

Is that why she is so content about not contacting him for three whole weeks when Taehyung is practically dying over here?

Guilt and sadness starts to be replaced with anger and frustration and deep down Taehyung knows he shouldnt feel this way. He should talk aboit it and ask her, not jump into conclusions. He should trust that Y/N wouldnt so that and never assume. This is how long distance relationship goes to die; assuming the worse of each other, thinking about things that never actually happened, but the pictures and captions keeps playing in his mind, making Taehyung believe Y/N did forget about him and that man is the main reason.

Well, Taehyung sighed, anger and vengence slowly seeping through his vein, if she wants to cut all communication with him, then he can do it too.

Y/N tossed and turned on her bed. Something shes been doing every night ever since her fight with Taehyung. She misses him beyond anything anyond could ever comprehend. She miss his voice, his laugh, the twinkle in his eyes when he talks about things that excites him, his childishness, his beautiful smile and most of all, the warmth in his eyes when he told her he loves her.

If Taehyung thinks she can bare with being apart from him for weeks, not hearing anything from him for weeks, then he is dead wrong. There was just so many times she wanted to click on the button and call him. To just say sorry and forget everything that has happened. But her heart hurt too much. How could Taehyung even thought about cheating on her? Yeah, he didnt, but he still thought about it. Doesnt that just means he will soon enough? Doesnt that mean he will if he is given a chance?

Y/N thought about it every single day for the three whole week they are apart. She went out with friends, try to live her daily life as normal as possible, not wanting people to see how upset she was. No one knows shes dating Kim Taehyung anyway, so what is she supposed to say if people asks her why shes so down? So she pretends to be happy, and every night when she came home, her pillows will be the only thing her tears can confide into. She thought about her relationship with Taehyung. Can the relationship still be saved if they fight for it? Worked for it? Maybe it cant? Maybe its already broken beyond repair? All the memories she shared with Taehyung, even though theres not many, it brings smiles to her face and happiness to heart, and thats how she knows that its all worth it. Their relationship is worth it and shes going to fight for him.

"T-Tae?"

"What do you want?" Taehyung's voice tone is cold, something he never used with her for all the years they have been together, and Y/N is scared. What happened to him for the past three weeks? Is he okay?

"I-I'm ready to talk about what happened. Can we talk?" Y/N held onto her phone tight, her knuckles turned white as she waits for Taehyung's answer. After a few seconds of silence, he laugh.

Taehyung laughed. Like what she said is the biggest joke he has ever enconuter.

"Oh so thats how its going to be huh? You talk when you are ready? And when you dont want to you just ran off to someone else?!" Taehyung's tone is menacing and sarcastic and it hurts her so much to hear it. She misses him and this is not the kind of conversation she thought they would have. This is not her Taehyung.

"T-Tae! Its not like that! I-I just need time to process what happened okay? I was hurt. I'm sorry I shut you out. But I'm ready now. Can we talk? Please? I miss you Tae," Y/N tried to explain, her voice small, hoping Taehyung could really hear the pain and longing in her voice. "And what do you mean by running off to someone else? You know I would never do that to you,"

"Miss me?" Taehyung scoffed and lets our a sarcastic laugh. "Are you sure about that? Why dont you just go with that guy whos been entertaining you for the last three weeks?"

"Tae! What are you even talking about?! You know you are the only one for me!" Y/N cried out, confused and scared of what he is saying. Why is Taehyung accusing her of things she never did?

"Yeah? Guess what, you are not the only one for me. In fact, you are not for me at all," Was Taehyung's answer. The answer that crushed her heart, her hope and all her beliefs.

And the line went dead.

The phone slipped out from Y/N's hand, crashing to the floor. Years. They have overcome everything for years. Everything that heads their way, every bullshit thats gets thrown to them, they faced it together. Their relationship is strong, something Y/N has always been proud of... but she guess its all a lie then. Taehyung has never been like this. They always, always, works things out no matter what. But there was never an issue that involved another woman before... maybe thats what change this time.

As Y/N collapsed on the floor, her legs no longer has the strength to stand, she finally realized.

Kim Taehyung has finally found someone else. Kim Taehyung has finally stop loving her. And its the worst feeling she could have imagined she would feel.

All hope that its all in her head and Taehyung will come around are lost when just two days later, stories and images of Taehyung kissing the same actress he went on an ice cream date woth circulated in the news. So, it must be true then. That is why he said what he said.

Y/N might be a doctor, but this is the first time she understands how a heart really breaks.

Blinking back the tears, Y/N hold the pen in her hand tightly, the tip poise on the dotted line. The dotted line that will take her away from this hell once she signed her name. She has been contemplating the offer for months now, not wanting to be even further away from Taehyung than she already is, but what is there left to fight for if Taehyung himself has simply forgotten about her and move on?

Taking a deep breath, Y/N finally signed the contract and send it off.

No regrets Y/N. Lets start fresh without Kim Taehyung.

"Wait, are you and Y/N even broken up? Whats with the kissing?!" Jimin shoved his phone in front of Taehyung's face, the b News article clear on the screen, confused as hell. What happened between them?

"I dont know,"

"You dont know?" Jimin looks at him funny. "You dont fucking know if you two are broken up but you shoved your tounge down her throat anyway? And even get it photographed?!"

"Shut up Jimin! I-I dont know okay!" Taehyung yelled and throw his phone across the wall, breaking it in the process. What have he done? Did he really want to break up with Y/N? No, he doesnt! He never did. No matter how angry he is, breaking up with Y/N was never an option. Its a big mistake. He was sad and angry and the girl is just there. God, what has he done? How could he do this to Y/N? His precious, beautiful angel Y/N?

"Well, if hyung dont know then, he sure knows now. There is no way in hell Y/N didnt think they have broken up once she saw those pictures," Jungkook chimed in, before quickly exiting when Jimin shot him a warning glare. At the maknae's word Taehyung finally got hit with a realization.

He truly has lost Y/N for good.

And theres nothing he can do about it.

"So, I think all your fans wants to know, have any of you ever dated before?" The emcee asks, making the fans in the audience squeals. As usual, all the members will give out smiles and answer no, including Taehyung. Just another interview, another show and another same old question.

"Theres just one thing that I think everyone wants to know. If you were dating, do you think a long distance relationship will work? This type of relationship itself is already a challenge, but especially when you as an idol is so busy! What do you think?"

The members starts to sneak glances at Taehyung, all knowing about the recent incident that happened between him and Y/N. Although they try to be discreet, the emcee seems to noticed and smild.

"Oh, it seems like the members are all looking at V? Is he the best in relationship advice between the members?" The emcee turns to look at him. "So what do you think V? Want to share your thoughts?"

Taehyung smiles as he remembered the time he had with Y/N, all the good times. As if he didnt unofficially announced to her that he cheated by kissing someone else. As if he didnt break her heart. As if he didnt know the broken status of their relationship right now.

"Long distance relationship is already hard as it is," he smiles. "I respect those who managed to get through it. Especially busy ones,"

"So, what do you think is the key to maintain a relationship like that?" The emcee inquires. Taehyung took a moment before answering, the good and the bad moments of his own relationship flashes by in his mind "Is it trust?"

"Personally, I think the most important thing is love. Yes, love. I think it plays a bigger part than trust,"

"Oh?" The emcee looks at him, intrigued by his answer. "Most people who answers this will usually say trust. Its because they said jealousy and miscommunications are the number one reason long distance couple breaks up. Its not often somebody will answer love. Can you explain more V?"

"Well," he smiles, eyes twinkling, the good old days he had with Y/N plays back in his head. "I admit. Jealousy and misscommunication does play a big part. But look at it this way, when you truly love someone so much, trust just comes hand in hand. You will feel jealous, yes. But when you love her too much, you will give her time to explain. You wpukd want to listen to her, because when you love her enough, how could you even think about ending it? Whatever the reasob may be? So theres no room for that isnt it?" He looks straight at the emcee. "You know love? That feeling you have when you see that someone smile. Like everything bad in your life will be okay, will be beautiful again. You dont have to do anything but just stay beside her and thats enough for you. When you see her cry, you will feel the need to protect her, chase away her sadness. You dont feel alone, you wont feel weak because that someone will always supports you no matter what. You could be extremely busy, but you will always find time for her because you want to listen to her day and you also want to tell her about yours. When you feel like this about someone, how can distance, space, jealousy and misscommunication breaks what you have? So yes, its love. If you love someone enough, theres no distance or space in the world that could separates you," Taehyung finishes with a smile and the rest of the boys and the audience are in awe. They never thought Taehyung could feel that way. And the boys know exactly who Taehyung is talking about.

"Wow! It seems like our V has been in love before! Or better yet, is in love?" The emcee grins at him, trying to see his reaction. "The rumor thats been floating around about you and the actress must be true then? Especialy with the kiss. Awwww. She must be the one you are thinking about hmm?" The emcee smile warmly at him and Taehyung immediately frowned. All he can think about is Y/N. Y/N is the only one who could make him feel everything he just mentioned. The only one he would do the things he just mentioned for.

"No. I was talking about-"

"V is always so thoughtful. This is just his opinion on how long distance relationship for idols should be like," Namjoon cut him off and sent him a look that means not another word from him and the leader will handle the rest. Taehyung kept quiet for the rest of the interview, letting Namjoon takes over before he slipped out somerhing stupid again and his mind spins, remembering everything that he said. He slumped in his seat. Its too late anyway. Who is he kidding? Long distance relationship and an idol will never be a good combination. Never have and never will. Maybe thats the reason so many idol arent allowed to date. To save them from heartbreaks... The interview for the show ends with a mini fanmeet session, signing autograph and smiling for photos. Taehyung puts on his best smile and is doing his obligatory responsibility when a girl about his age stands in front of him, passing him her album to be signed.

"Thank you for what you said Taehyung," Taehyung looks up from the album to the fan who is smiling at him.

"You are welcome. But for what?" He titlted his head, confused to what she is implying.

"For what you said regarding the long distance relationship. My boyfriend and I almost calls it quits but after listening to you, I think I want to fight for him. For our relationship. I mean, if an idol can do it, why cant I right? And if we cant work it out, just like you said, it just means we are not in love enough with each other then. And if we dont, whats the point of being together in the first place right?" She smiles and bowed to him before moving on to the next member.

What that particular fan said to him stuck in his head for the whole day. She was right. If Taehyung lets Y/N go now, it just means that he never really love her in the first place. And Taehyung knows he does.

He loves Y/N.

Y/N who always waits for his call no matter how exhausted she is after a 48 hours shift. Y/N who gets along well with his friends. Who accepted his conditions on dating him. Who loves him for his quirky ways and not because hes some idol. Who thinks he is the best when hes at his worse. Y/N who never fail to supports him, love him, no matter how much he hurts her.

Taehyung is madly, deeply in love with her. And he needs to fight for her now and show her he loves her before he loose her forever.

"Go to her Tae," As if he is reading his mind, Jimin suddenly quiped in. Taehyung turns to look at his friend.

"I want to Chim. But how? We have 3 more months left of this tour," Taehyung looks to the floor. Running out of ideas of what to do.

"You will loose her if you wait Tae," Jimin walked over and pat his back. Taehyung fell silent, his gaze on the ground, knowing the truth to Jimin's words. "So thats why I already bought you a ticket. Your flight leave in 8 hours. Go Kim Taehyung. Get your girl and your happiness back!"

Taehyung has always been a good boy. Obidient and and not a rule breaker, but as he makes his way to the airport, breaking all rules and contracts, for the first time in his life, he doesnt care. Because he knows, no matter what will happen to him later, at the end of the day, if he still have Y/N's love and support, he will be okay.

He needs to fight for her. He needs to feel all the things she makes him feel again. And Y/N is the only one who could give him those feelings, always and forever.

Once landed, Taehyung rushed out from the gate, not bothering to care about the people around him abd in his haste, he accidentally bumped into someone.

"Y/N?!" His eyes are wide open. How could this be? Is he dreaming right now? But her scent filled his nose and her skin thats touching him feel so warm that he knows its real.

"T-Taehyung?!" Y/N is just as shocked. Taehyung was not supposed to be back for another three months. She looks around and noticed something odd. "W-Wheres everyone else? Wheres your manager? Wheres your mask?!"

Taehyung doesnt care and grab her hand, making Y/N panics as people has start to notice that Kim Taehyung is in their mix.

"What are you doing? People doesnt know that we are together. I-I mean were together," she stuttered, eyes darting around, concious of people who are staring at them.

"No baby. I am still yours," he took her hands and kissed it, fluttering her heart. "Y/N I'm sorry. You have every right to be mad at me for even thinking about cheating. And what I said after that... thats not true. None of it were. You are always the one for me. The only one for me. No matter what happens, I will always choose you baby," he looks at her, who have her mouth wide open in shocked. "I'm sorry I let jealousy ruined us. We were so strong. Distance and space used to have nothing on us but I let them get the best of me. I'm sorry I kissed that girl. You can punish me in every possible way you can think of baby. I will willingly take it all. I will do everything it takes to make it up to you, as long as you are still mine,"

Y/N was dumbfounded.

"I-I dont know what to say. T-Tae, I didnt know that we still have a chance. I thought you are really over me,"

Taehyung shakes his head.

"Over you? That would never happen baby. Not in this lifetime. Or the next for that matter. Or ever," he chuckles. "Say you will give me a chance baby. You dont have to forgive me right now, you dont even have to forgive me ever, but please... give me a chance to prove to you how much I love you,"

"Tae.. I-"

"Wait. Where are you even going?" Taehyung just remembered where they were and how Y/N is holding her passport and having a carry on luggage with her. She is obviously on her way to board a plane. His heart suddenly filled with panic, palms turned sweaty.

"I-I'm going away as a part of a medical team... in a far away place... to help the poor and the sick..."

"W-What? H-How long baby?"

"A year, minimum,"

"A year?! And you didnt think to tell me this when we were together?!" Taehyung was shocked. This is too much to take in right now. How can she not discuss this with him first.

"I-I never planned to accept it while we were together. I dont want to be further away from you than I already is... but I figured you have forgotten about me and moved on. So I finally decide to do something for myself instead of always doing things for the relationship,"

What Y/N said hits home. Its true. Y/N is always the one who sacrifice everything for their relationship, and Taehyung will soaked it all up, thinking he deserves it just because he is a hardworking idol. He forgots sometimes that what Y/N do is so much noble and harder than what he will ever be able to do. She saves live on the daily, sacrificing time and energy for other people who sometimes cant even say one word of thanks, and she still accepted a selfish boyfriend like him. Taehyung is selfish, and he realizes it now.

He needs to let her go and maybe someday she will come back to him.

Through teary eyes Taehyung smile. "You are an angel baby. And I'm sorry I'm always clipping your wings down. This time I'm setting you free. Go Y/N. Go and live your life. For your own happiness, for what you really want this time," he smiles at her, causing Y/N to cry too. "I love you. I love you so much," he tucked her stray hair behind her ears, cupping her face. "I love you and I'm sorry. But I promise you I will wait for you. All these years you have been waiting for me as I spread my wings, cheering me on from the ground, always smiling, never once tried to bring me down. You are selfless and incredible, and its because of you that our relationship is even able to last this long. This time.... I'll be the one that going to be cheering you on. Spread your wings and fly baby and when you come back, I will still be here,"

"Y-You promise?" Y/N sobs, her shoulders shaking. Can she do this? Now that Taehyung is back, right in front of her eyes, can she be strong and leave him? For herself? Taehyung smile through wet eyes as tears rolls down his cheeks and nodded.

"I will. Because," he takes his hand and place it on her heart, "no matter where you are or where I'll be, you will always brings my heart here..." he tapped her chest where her heart supposed to be with her hand, "with you. I gave you my heart Y/N, and you have never given it back. Take care of it," he smiles warmly at her. Y/N continues to cry, hugging his hand close to her heart.

"A-And you Taehyung, you have my heart too. Forever an always, its only yours," she sobbed.

"And I'll carry your heart on tour with me baby, or wherever else I will go," he smiles and laugh. "I love you L/N Y/N,"

"I love you Kim Taehyung,"

Taehyung cups her face and leans in, kissing her with everything that he has. She might be leaving now, but he is sure she will come back to him. Afterall, he has her heart and she needs to get it back someday.

2 Years Later

"Tae! Go and open the door! It must be the pizza!" Namjoon yelled from his room. Taehyung takes quick steps towards the door, he himself being hungry after a whole day of practice. Its been two years since he last heard from Y/N, but he saw her on the news occasionally, helping people who needs it, and he couldnt be more proud to say that thats his girl. He has made an official statement after the photos of him and Y/N at the airport are released. He admits thats hes is on love, long distance relationship almost gets to him and he is currently waiting for his angel to come back from saving the world. They might not be communicating with each other,and they are a million miles apart, but Taehyung firmly believes that their feelings for each other remains the same. He is not even a bit worried. Not at all.

Taehyung opens the door, expecting the pizza man with a stack of delicious hot pizza but he gets the shocked of his life instead.

"Hi. I'm looking for Kim Taehyung," she smiles. "I think he left his heart with me and I need to tell him that its still under a good care,"

And that smile she gave him is forever going to be the most beautiful smile Taehyung will ever see.

im honestly really happy for 銀河 bc they really went out of their box and tried something new and the arrangement was turned out really cool, good for fsc

but theres just something about their performance that feels off... besides the voice crack, it felt like xu yang was rushing? which is big issue for percussionists esp if he and fsc are supposed to be keeping the beat together... maybe im just not used to what electric cello should sound like but pengpeng’s tone sounded scratchy to me again and i feel like he doesnt pay enough attention to the way he ends his strokes? and am i just hallucinating or is their mixing off again bc i just feel like i hardly hear zjy... again. but id love to listen to a studio version of this song bc i think itd solve those issues and the song itself is nice.

oh i wasnt the only one who thought xu yang was rushing but yea he looked really into the perf and really excited and thats great to see hes really happy on stage but he also has to keep himself calm enough to keep the beat

oookayyy theres also something off with the tempo in 午睡’s performance and maybe im just being too picky but it really threw me off when they transitioned from bjg to ljt in that first chorus. i think it was the guitar entering too early? i cant tell if i should be more picky towards jym’s drumming bc when there’s rushing i usually go straight to the person whos holding the beat, and he should be the one keeping them together, but if someone else is rushing im glad he was able to keep up to at least rush as one group...lol. but i am glad that they were able to incorporate muji’s sound pretty well in this type of song, i was a little worried about that at first. tbh i dont think ljt and bjg’s voices match really well LOL awkward. and also awkward that they didnt let ljt play guitar too? like hes just jamming out on air while bjg is singing. idk maybe its an optics preference but i just find it awkward.

i appreciate that ljt has really found a home in his group that can make him feel comforted. the way bjg was saying that ljt felt insecure on his own at the front but then comforted when he turned around and saw his group members behind him. that just makes me think of how lonely he must have been these last few years on his own.

i appreciate that they have dada making sure to call out each member so they have time to talk during this live broadcast

i feel like dada could’ve called attention to the fact that he was a witness to ljt and zzn on mrzz1 more tactfully but okay that was kinda awkward

AWWW seeing xiao zhi complimenting qiang ge’s suo na playing and then qiang ge being all modest like “i can accept this” AW i love them and i love how supportive xiao zhi is and how qiang ge can be proud of himself.

i just love how fun fruit planet it. im just so happy to see that xiao wu really helped pull yrz and qiang ge out of their shells! actually all of them really looked like they were having such fun and i think xiao wu has a part in this. i really like how fruit planet has a running theme of happiness but also simplicity. their music’s sound has a simplicity to it that makes it sound easy-going and fun. not that the music itself is simple, but its just not overbearing and has enough pause and clarity that there are breaks in the song where you can see through the layers of sound and i appreciate that.

wow i dont remember yrz ever singing this strongly before. i think yrz and xiao wu’s singing both fit well, both have different edges of fun and freedom. and im grateful they used the suo na as a highlight bc it adds an important touch but wasnt overwhelming.

Why digital literacy

Part two

In part one I did not get the chance to clearly point out the advantages of why we should invest in digital literacy. In 2017 together with friends we founded a charity organisation called Mabvazuva Trust. Our mission was "To raise a generation that does not complain but is optimistic for the future". By not complaining i don't mean roll over and take it from behind i mean stop complaining for a second and see the opportunities around us. People who complain never found out the truth and they never contribute anything. The reason why we don't see the vast opportunities right in front of us sometimes. A dude from America Jeremy Johnson discovered that in Nigeria, Africa's largest country over half of young people were unemployed and he founded an organisation called Andela. This brings me to my first point:

JOB CREATION

We can create jobs in the field of computer science for those who are unemployed. Andela has a goal to produce 100 000 developers by 2024. Initially they launched in Nigeria receiving funding from the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative. Andela is trying to solve the global tech talent shortage because their stats reviewed that there are five open jobs for every software developer looking for one in the U.S. alone. That means in the US they are looking for people to fill these job post and we are crying about unemployment here. The good part you don't need to go to America or struggle to get a visa etc you can work remotely. I read an article by Andela that claim that over two thirds of firms in america prefer to have remote employees. I believe we can create more jobs in the technology area if we invest in digital literacy and this is not fiction there are people already doing it. Andela has only accepted 1 200 developers out of 130 000 applications they have received. That means the other 128 800 applicants did not get the opportunity to fill this gap. I guess that's why econet launched Muzinda Hub to try to train as many developers as they can and its another article for another day about what they have done so far, whether they are succeeding and the fact that they can't close this gap alone.

HELP ENTREPRENEURS BECOME COMPETITIVE

African entrepreneurs especially my fellow zimbabweans need to understand that they can use technology to become competitive in a global world and use social media platforms like WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter not just to post how great they were when they went to church last Sunday but to use social media as a business tools. Some try by opening facebook pages and just post their logo or something and that's it the page is abandoned. Would one claim to be on facebook or whatsapp if they are there once a year. A few months back when i was doing research about digital literacy i bumped into a company based in South Africa called Digify Africa. Digify Africa & Facebook Africa are on a mission to "DIGIFY" businesses owned by young people through their digital PRO STARTUP which is a 12 weeks digital training course to help young entrepreneurs take their business to the next level. The programme is aimed at helping youth enterprises become competitive through digital skills, in particular understanding facebook and Instagram as business tools.

HELP ARTISTS MARKET THEMSELVES

When we founded Mabvazuva Trust it was one of our objectives to equip musicians, actors, poets, comedicians, painters, footballers etc with the digital skills they need to market their talent and expose themselves at a global stage. Having knowledge about technology enables one to use the internet to meet customers, fans, promoters and agents etc. The agent who discovered Lionel Messi by the name Josep Maria Minguella acknowledged in a interview the importance of technologies like fieldoo to discover talent. "Absolutely! Internet has totally changed the way a football agent does his/her job and the transfer industry. There are no more boundaries and limits – you can see, observe and connect with way more players (and other people) than years ago, as you’re not limited to physical presence. Not so many years ago you had to go around the world if needed, to see and meet players, while nowadays you can do it through the internet – with videos, detailed information and all you need to learn about the player you’re interested in." I remember in 2017 talking to football players trying to get them to open youtube channels so that they could upload their videos as a way to get noticed. Josep Maria Minguella also noted it was difficult to discover talent back then because the internet wasnt as developed as it is now. "Back then we hadn’t been operating through the internet on a daily basis as it had not been developed yet in all parts of the world. Because of that, I had to rely on videos I received from Rosario, where Leo Messi was playing." Now life is easy if you know how to use technology. Artists like Ann Kasiime used digital platforms to showcase their talents and it helped her grow. "According to recorded interviews that she gave in 2014, Anne began posting some of her sketch comedy skits on YouTube. She received positive feedback and that encouraged her to post more videos."

Iam happy these days when i see comedians like Comic Pastor using YouTube as a business tool to get their content to their audience and so many comedians are popping up online here in Zimbabwe. Digify Africa realised the need for equiping artist with digital skills and they have what they call OWN YOUR MARK. This programme is designed to give artists the skills they need to grow their creative hustles. The training program is designed to give artists the skills they need to make the most of the digital world and to grow their creative markets.

MAKING MONEY ONLINE

In this section im going to talk about someone i met on LinkedIn. His name is Taylor Chiyangwa a Digital Marketing and Online Entrepreneurship enthusiast.

After chatting with him online i started researching anything i could find about him and i started reading his blog. He has posted several blog posts about digital marketing. What inspired me the most was his story about how he was tired of his day job and knew that wasnt it for him until he used the exposure he had to computers and started teaching himself digital marketing. He kept his day job for a while when he was learning until he took a leap of faith quit his job and focused fulltime on his digital marketing and online entrepreneurship passion. Since then Taylor went on to open three online businesses that focus on digital marketing, content and copywriting services to businesses and forex education. He is now an entrepreneur and he has employeed a few guys in his company some working full time some as freelancers. Taylor wrote a free ebook called 25 ways to make money online. This book will show you that they are many ways one can make money online. And guess what all you need is a phone or laptop and internet to get started.

PROBLEM SOLVING

Steve Jobs: “Everybody in this country should learn to program a computer, because it teaches you how to think”. I believe i think and have a problem solver mentality because im a programmer. Programmers write programs to solve problems. I think programming doesnt teach you to thing only but it teaches you endurance, perserverance and a never give up mentality. My friend Lionel said to me that the reason my ventures havent succeeded was because i did not have a thick skin. For a second i believed him but then it dawned on me the reason why i have succeeded as a software developer was because i had a thick skin. So maybe i was only thick skinned when it comes to code but if i apply the same concept in my business ventures i will suceed. It was because of my thick skin and never give up mentality that i did the Truworths Zimbabwe in a month with drupal a CMS i had never studied before. It was because of my thick skin i developed a ussd application with technologies i did not know about like nodejs, express, angular and mongodb that when you dial *558# on your econet line you will see a seedco menu. I did that project with Tapiwa Jeka at Dataage Solutions and i remember we took turns having sleepless night to code that application and we usually slept at the office 2 nights a week until we finished that application. I remember talking to Seth Mutasa one of my students that you dont learn to code but you learn how NOT TO code. Which means you learn through the failures so a programmer should embrances errors and fix them otherwise you are toast. The worse thing for me when im programming is code that doesnt give me feedback where i did wrong that way im clueless what to do next.

I strongly believe if we had more programmers we wouldn't be whinning too much but do something using technology to change our world one community after another. I taught my brother Rann web design and it 6 weeks he made a site to aware youths in our community about the dangers of drugs they were taking

OTHERS

I did not point out every reason why we need digital literacy but i think you get the idea.i left out some other good stuff like reducing the digital divide, economic growth and reduced poverty.
