What I love the most about atsv is the spots design, his limbs are a little too long and his chest and torso are a bit stubby and this is amplified in a fun silly way by how he holds himself the first time we see him, he’s awkward and clumsy and yet when his demeanor switches suddenly his anatomy makes you uncomfortable, when he’s sprinting towards miles all you can do is hold your breathe as a foreboding feeling sinks into you’re gut. He becomes imposing as his elongated limbs suddenly feel sinister and inhuman instead of goofy. He goes from “hehe his arms and legs are lengthy” to “oh god his arms and legs are lengthy”

Ma’am, I get flyers, emails, and local-postal-customer mail from churches and religious organisations telling me I’m going to Hell and that I need The Church and Christ in my life. Christians are on street corners using their federally affirmed rights to preach and recruit and condemn, often targeting vulnerable people. Christmas and Easter are holidays that are nationally recognised and people are trying to rewrite laws to match Christian ideals despite the USA allowing freedom from religion as well.
The only ways I get quality queer content is to actively search it out, which is hard to find in a rural red-zone, or create it myself. (It’s fairly recent that I’ve been able to see it in media, even if it’s token characters corporation use while trying to get/keep viewers.)

I truly believe one of the most important things you can teach a person in school is how to analyze literature and art and movies so you know how to look at a work of art and place it both in its time and ours. To empathize with the artists behind it as they were and not as we are now. To recognize the ways in which humanity has grown or the connective tissue between us and the past. But mostly so I never have to see someone call a movie or its dialogue “cliche” or “stereotypical” when the cliche to which they’re referring was either quite literally invented or at least popularized by the movie they just watched.

you know. it leaves a very bad taste in my mouth when people bring up the allegations against drake bell when talking about his abuse. it feels like “yeah this very bad thing happened to you, but you did this” ????
it’s like. you see this man disassociate at the thought of what happened to him. it being so horrible he can’t even say it. 11 charges against brian peck for what he did to drake ALONE, including but not limited to sodomy, forcible penetration with a foreign object, using anesthesia, and even filming it…like knowing all if this you still go “he also perpetrated abuse”
