572. This number is used frequently as a ship number for the two as "GoGe" the ship name can also be produced as "GoNatsu". Go means 5 and the rest sound similar to 72. These numbers ironically show up accross the series a few times and also in official merch. (Some examples being a clock in season 2 episode 1 stopped at 5 hours 7 minutes 20 seconds or a Gojo teddy bear priced at ¥57,200)

The yellow ones (Located in the part where Gojo & Geto are sitting together with their hands & cans of soda surrounded by the flowers) are possibly osmanthus flowers. They can represent love, passion, happiness, beauty, etc.

Despite the following about Geto's state, Geto's body still instinctively reacted to stop Kenjaku from hurting Gojo.

"Q: Fake Geto's arm was moving during the Shibuya Incident, but how much of Geto's consciousness remains in the body? A: Not much. He was moving like how a dragonfly whose neck was torn off can move."

Fun fact: Some owls pair/bond for life (Whether the owl is supposed to be Geto's because Kenjaku is using Geto at the time or it's not Geto's animal because that is Kenjaku is up to you)

Volume 26

The Camilla flowers with snow. Not only do they represent Gojo well with their meaning, including one meaning being unchanging/strong love alongside modest love / beauty for pink, but flowers are given to different dates. The birth flower of February is this flower, said to bloom on the 3rd of this month. Aka Geto's birthday.

Chapter 236

Gojo actively chose to fight on December 24th (a day considered romantic for Japan) which is now the day both Geto and him have died on. Even Kenjaku acknowledges the days significance with

"Ha ha! How romantic. Isn't it gross to make plans with each other on Christmas eve?"

These lines

Both Gojo & Geto's volumes' numbers can have bad meanings in Japan. 4 can mean death & 9 can mean to suffer/agony. (I put this under volume 26's section because of the spoiler)

Me and my sister watched Hellsing together. Here's her opinion on the characters

- Alucard: "He's a cunt, but he's entertaining. I'd probably pay to see him in a strip club. I didn't like him and his shit-eating grin and 'master' bullshit at first, but he grew on me quick and i don't like that he grew on me. He's a complex character, and he's hot asf when he cries. Also I wish we'd seen his Dracula form for longer; that was awesome. Him and Anderson had a thing going on."

- Seras: "Didn't really mind her at first, but liked her after she drank blood. Her transformation and the guns are really fucking cool. I didn't like her voice and her whining at first but it got better after a few episodes. I like her when her personality became a little bit more spunky. Her story's fucked up."

- Integra: "Absolute bad bitch. Her attitude reminds me of myself so idk if I should like it or hate it, she's got a lot of pride which I respect. Really human and I like it, she takes no one's shit and she's a badass. Didn't even FLINCH when she got her eye shot out. Girlboss. She gives me ace vibes also."

- Walter: "I liked him, he was funny. And then he betrayed everyone and became emo. He gave good advice, and he was cool as hell with that wise older veteran vibe. I'm disappointed in him, but the plot twist was actually good. You'd notice the signs if you suspected him from the beginning."

- Pip: "He's FINE. I'd braid his hair any day. I was in love and then I mourned. I'm widowed. He was hilarious, plus his voice actor nailed the French. My favorite character. Screeched when he came back. He's a good leader and I loved his speeches, also his death made me cry. And I don't often cry when watching anime."

- Anderson: "kinda neutral. I didn't like him at first, he was obnoxious as fuck. Then he respected women and opposed Maxwell and his orders so he grew in my esteem a bit. His character is cool as fuck tho. I wish he didn't turn into a monster, he fell to the same level as Alucard. It's like human greed or desperation for power. Him and Alucard had a thing going on."

- Enrico Maxwell: "Lucius Malfoy. I hate him but not the one I hate most."

- Heinkel & Yumie: "Really like these two lesbians. So cool and I respect their resolve, especially Heinkel's. Rip Yumi. You were cool. Heinkel being intersex is a dope detail, she's very androgynous too. I like their designs."

- The major: "Augustus Gloop? I like the fact he refused vampirism, that was cool, but he's an actual fucking sociopath and I hate him"

- The Captain: "Ngl, I actually find him quite dope, aside from the nazi thing. Literally no one respected him, that shit had me crying. His face is pretty and his tits are big, even if he looks a bit goofy at times. Wish we'd seen more of him. I felt kinda bad when he got defeated."

- Schrödinger: "I want this thing dead"

- Rip van winkle: "She gives me the vibes of a Dr Seuss character."

- Zorin: "Bleach Ichigo knockoff. Fuck this bitch in particular I hate her"

- The Valentine brothers: "A slav squat necrophile and his gay brother that used to be a runway model but got cancelled after a scandal"

Overall: A hit, neither of us expected her to like it. She likes the political and literary aspects, and also finds the characters interesting. She doesn't really know how to feel about the ending; she considers it realistic and a good end, but she wished it was more epic. But from a writing perspective it's good. Also she lowkey wished Alucard would turn Integra into a vampire, just because it would be cool. Now we send each other memes about it. She calls Nendocard a whore when she passes by him, but says she'd buy a Pip nendo in a heartbeat

Naruto loves Jersey Shore Family Vacation, specifically, because he really likes that these crazy party animals have grown up to have wholesome family fun. That they are still crazy and spend entire episodes yelling at each other, just now they sometimes disappear for a while to go hang out with their kids, does not occur to him.

Sasuke doesn't watch reality tv. At least, not after the time he got sucked into a Toddlers & Tiaras marathon and walked away four hours later thinking of Itachi with absolute pity for reasons he still can't quite explain or understand.

Sakura likes watching Bad Girls Club; she takes notes during both verbal and physical altercations.

Kiba is a reality tv connoisseur, and it's not even a little bit because of his sister. He can talk to anyone about their favorites, because he's seen at least a handful of episodes of any show he can get his hands on. If he had to pick, his favorite would be Love Island. Most of his slang comes from there.

Hinata likes Love is Blind, even if it saddens her that her Byakugan would surely disqualify her from ever being a contestant herself. But she would (a) totally never cheat and (b) absolutely never try to be on reality tv, lest she get picked and die of shame.

Shino has been watching RuPaul's Drag Race religiously for longer than he'd care to admit. He watches Untucked, too, because one thing about Shino is that he wants to know the dirty details.

Shikamaru isn't big on most reality tv, but he stumbled upon The Circle and turned watching it into some sort of weird mental exercise on picking apart human social intricacies. He's getting frighteningly good at figuring out exactly how entire seasons are going to play out, down to the order of eliminations.

Ino is a die-hard Bachelor fan. She's weirdly very good at picking out who the winner is going to be by the end of the first night, but Sakura tells herself Ino is just somehow rigging the bachelor fantasy league year after year.

Choji watches Hell's Kitchen. He would never want to be on the receiving end of Gordon Ramsay's ire, but he also feels secure in the knowledge that he'd never be anything but the top dog in that kitchen.

Neji spits on reality tv! What is he, a moron? Anyway, if he walks by Hinata watching Love is Blind, he's lingering in front of the tv with his hands on his hips and a vacant expression on his face until the end of the episode, at the very least.

Tenten likes America's (Konoha's?) Next Top Model, and her favorite episode is always the makeover one. She's equally thrilled by the good and bad haircuts, but looks down on anyone who cries.

Rock Lee is inspired to work hard and be his best by Project Runway each and every time he tunes in. He's never seen the contestants create anything quite so glorious as his Jumpsuit, of course, but it's been a near thing on a few memorable occasions.

Why Miraculous LadyBug Is the Worst Thing To Happen To Magical Girl Genre in All Its History.

It would be easy to sit here and tell you all the logical reasons why Ladybug is a bad show. It has horrible pacing, it has low stakes, repetitive episodes, and a dialogue that is cringe worthy enough to get its own tiktok sound.

But saying that, would be beating a dead horse at this point. Everyone knows this show is a bunch of wasted potential, only made worse by a director who keeps thinking he created gold, when in fact he messed up in a lot of areas – particularly the fact that he’s a grown man who thinks he knows what little girls want.

I’m not here for that.

Particularly, because I can be quite forgiving to shows like this. I mean, they’re kids' shows! Meant for little girls, and I haven’t been one for a few years now. But I still enjoy them.

Why? Well, cause I’m a massive fan of Magical Girl animes. I love the glitter, the sparkles, the silly adventures with friends, and the transformation sequences! Even with all its flaws, I really like them. So, stories or shows that borrow from them, get a pass in all these things.

I mean, I have fun re-watching WINX Club, I love Star Vs The Forces of Evil despite its flaws. Steven Universe holds a deep place in my heart and She-Ra is…She-Ra is in its very own league of how amazing it is.

So, no. Be it a very dumb show or a very smart one, I can have fun. It’s very rare when a show with, you know, glitter, girly stuff and animals CAN’T hold my attention.

But, well, MLB failed at that.

It’s just, not a good show.

I mean, it could be. But the age demographic would need to drop several, several age groups just to be barely watchable – and even then, I seriously doubt that it would be good for young girls to watch it. The lessons it teaches are concerning, to say the least.

And at this point, you may be thinking,

"Why do you care so much about this show? It’s dumb and you’ve acknowledged it treats its demographic as toddlers. Why do you care so much?"

Well, because I've been here... for a very, very long time.

Listen, I started watching Miraculous Ladybug, back when I was in high school. Maybe a bit old, but, hey, a lot of unique cartoons came out around that time. (Star Vs, Steven Universe, etc). So, I was hopeful. Really hopeful.

Mainly, because I was here before it EVEN premiered. I remember it. The original PV was 2D animated and it had this vague Princess Tutu vibes that JUST I couldn’t resist. It was clear as day that it borrowed a lot of its inspiration from magical girls from the 90's, probably even 80's.

The premise looked similar enough to Kaito Jeanne, and Kaito St. Tail for me to draw those conclusions.

It had a dynamic very similar to Princess Tutu and seemed like a mix of silly and dark like that one was.

To be honest, I could even see hints of Sugar Sugar Rune with Pierre and Felix.

Not to mention, the animation was beautiful.

I will never, never forget that scene with Chat looking at Ladybug starry-eyed under the Paris Moonlight. That was so beautiful, a genuine touch of romance that rang so similar to the Magical Girl animes I grew up with.

I was thrilled, I was excited. I wanted this show to succeed, before even the premier had dropped.

This is all to say -

I never came to this show with the intention for it to fail.

And I didn’t expect nor want it to be ground-breaking or a giant of the genre. I just hoped I could have a fun time.

I didn't want subversions, I didn't want it to be dark, or deep. All I wanted, was sparkles, fun and a good time.

So, when it first aired, I tried to stay positive. I tried to like it, even when it had all these massive red flags.

I’ve never been a big fan of 3D animation, and especially not how it’s used in Magical Girl animes. (We all know the disaster the first season of Sailor Moon Crystal was).

But I swallowed it down.

The background scenery was bland and generic and hardly felt unique.

But I swallowed it down.

I was here since day 1. I was here when Stormy Weather premiered. I was here before many of you were, and

I swallowed it all down.

Because I really, really wanted this to be good.

And I really thought it would.

But things should have been made clear, when they fucked up the one thing they shouldn't. The one thing that held this all together. The one thing that kept me here even as everything was burning to the ground, and I was too naive to realize it.

They fucked up the thing that started all this, to begin with.

I'm still new and haven't seen so much! Here is what I'll do, I'll give you a list of what I've seen and what I thought about it though!! It'll go like this:

and then you can take them as recs or not lol

Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood (anime): SO GOOD. It was the second anime I watched ever and it's what really got me hooked. Lol it's just pure good solid story telling and is just truly amazing in every way. I love it so much

Ouran High School Host Club (anime): it was fine. Lol good moments, funny moments, cute moments. Lots of weird ass tropes that I didn't love lol. Good palate cleanser but not my favorite and not one I continued to really spend time thinking about after

Demon Slayer (anime & manga): a new obsession after I watched it. I had to then go read it because I was obsessed with the story and couldn't wait. The most beautiful animation too. Tragic and hopeful and amazing. Made me cry a few times and does flashback so well lol

Yuri on Ice (anime): so good. So cute. So gay. I have posts on this anime on here from when I was watching it. Lmao I'll just link that here. I'm still obsessed.

Spy x Family (anime & manga): I actually read the manga first and then found the anime and it's just so wholesomely wonderful in every aspect. I love the story so much. I love the romance. The slowburn is so slow is painfully good. I ship it SO HARD. The domestic family life of a Spy, assassin and telepath is everything I didn't know I needed

Buddy Daddys (anime): 2 dude (they make a good ship too honestly lol) assassins accidental baby acquisition. It's as funny as it sounds with some surprisingly dark and sad and emotional backstories and moments. Just a really great time. Short and quick watch too. Link to my rec post too

The Yakuzas Guide to Babysitting (anime): it was okay. Lol cute and fun but nothing that stuck with me. Found this one off my Spy Family and Buddy Daddy's high while looking for something similar lol

The Ice Guy and his Cool Female Colleague (anime): cute and fun but man some of the episodes dragged and were a little slow. The romance was just okay too but had some really adorable moments

Sasaki to Miyano (anime): SO CUTE. God the whole premise is the BL romance and the slow burn is soooo slow but istg. The tropes are so good too. The importance to consent is beautiful. Literal BL tropes all over the place as the MCs is a BL fan and introduced his LI to BL lol my rec post here. And my post over a clip of the new movie too.

A Silent Voice (anime movie): excellent movie. Sad as fuck. I cried so much. Lol all the trigger warnings though. Please read the trigger warnings

Your Name (anime movie): excellent movie. I still think about it all the time. I just read a book that pulled inspo from this movie. I had tears STREAMING DOWN MY FACE at the end.

Sk8 the Infinity (anime): so good. So wholesome. So gay (it's canon gay, fight with the wall, I don't care lol) just a little show about skateboarding. Who knew it would be SO GOOD. My rec post. My matchablossom brain rot post

Naurto, Naruto Shippuden (anime): OBSESSED. I watched this show with my partner as part of his "I'm introducing you to anime" series he has for me. Lol and clearly he was going to introduce me to the classics. Yes One Piece and Bleach are on his lists for us to watch together too.

Haikyuu!! (anime & manga): Look, with this being the 3rd sports anime I watched, I'm convinced all sports animes create so many ships low-key on purpose. Lmfao in all honesty though, it's so good. Never in my life would I have imagined getting so invested into volleyball. But here I am.

Jujutsu Kaisen (anime and I'm starting the manga now too): IM SO OBSESSED ITS NO LONGER FUNNY AND THIS SHOW IS SO MEAN LATELY. I had to go buy the manga because I CANNOT HANDLE WAITING FOR NEW EPISODES OH MY GOD. WISH ME LUCK READING I GUESS My post

Bungo Stray Dogs (anime): I started this show for Dazai. Found him on TikTok. Stayed for the weird ass powers and the absolute utter nonsense that is this whole world. Nothing makes sense and we are all just here for the vibes. Yes I fucking love it, thanks lmfao My post

Link Click (donghua): started this on a whim because I got a random rec video on my algorithm and found it on Crunchyroll and I was told it was gay. There is so little gayness in the grand scheme of this show I felt so unprepared for what it was. Lmao I have never in my life had a show hit me so hard in my emotions off the bat EVERY SINGLE TIME. BUT ITS SO GOOD?? I told my husband I start each episode going "so how are you making me cry this time link clink??" The twists twist so hard it hurts, but in a way I love. I need the next season like now. my God.

Blue Eye Samurai (anime sort of): my NEWEST obsession. I NEED SEASON 2 PLEASE. I said sort of about anime because it is animated and it's set in Japan, but it's not from Japan so it's not really an anime.... Lol but it's on Netflix. It's not for children. And it's so good. Go watch it. Only 8 episodes. The story is immaculate. My post

Inuyasha (manga): read the manga and thoroughly enjoyed myself as a super fast and fun read!! Really just there a good time lmao

Yona of the Dawn (manga): SO CUTE and yet intense too. My sister put me on this one as one of the first manga series I started reading and I just ate it all up. If we ignore some of the weirder tropes it throws at you in the beginning, it's just fabulous lol I love it

Mo Dao Zu Shi (donghua): read the books, watched the donghua, watched the live action too lol. The brain rot is SO REAL. Like these characters live rent free forever. Thanks. It was quite an uneventful night so far. Nothing out of the usual happened. Jake had been driving people around the busiest bars and clubs in the city, dealt with a few overly drunk people and even been hit on by someone who actually took a moment to look at their taxi driver.

Maybe it was flattering, he didn’t care. Jake had you. No one else mattered. In fact, he couldn’t wait for the late shift to end so he could go home back to you. That was his favourite place on this entire planet. Despite how doubt in the beginning, Jake had fallen for you and man had he fallen hard. He had no problem admitting his love for you. He might’ve seemed like a tough and stoic, emotionless man that when it came to you, it was the furthest thing from the truth.

Everything about the night changed when he was standing in an alleyway, leaning against a brick wall with a cigarette hanging from his lips. The wall offered him some shield from the icy wind and that way his car wouldn’t smell of cigarettes. He was trying to quit. Right now though, he felt the need to stretch his legs and uphold an old habit.

Then he heard it. A tiny peep from the dumpster that at first sounded like it came from a children’s toy. It was loud enough to catch Jake’s attention though. When he heard another one, much stronger this time, he realized it resembled a meow.

Jake furrowed his brows, confusion settling in his mind as he abandoned his spot from against the wall. In one swift move, he tossed the cigarette on the ground, stepped on it and then walked toward the metal box that smelled like rotten eggs. Hadn’t it been so cold already, the alley would’ve surely been swarming with flies.

He couldn’t believe what he was doing as he grabbed the edges of the dumpster, lifting it up and meeting that horrid stench. Jake narrowed his eyes and peeked inside the trash, seeing bags upon bags, pizza boxes and even a bike without tires inside there. Then he saw a bag that was moving. The bag had a small hole on it that looked like had been torn by something sharp inside the dumpster. The bag was on top of everything else so spotting it was easy.

Jake kept the lid open with one arm as he reached it to grab the green, plastic bag. The moment he lifted it, the creature within squirmed around and let out a cry that tugged at his heartstrings. Whoever had thrown this animal away like a piece of trash was a shit human being. The thought alone made Jake’s blood boil.

As soon as Jake had the bag, he closed the lid and knelt on the cold, dirty ground. Without wasting more time, he ripped the plastic open and revealed what had been in there all along. A tiny kitten was in there, its every little limb trembling violently. It was too weak to even try to run away or be afraid of Jake. Instead, it revealed a row of the smallest teeth Jake had ever seen and let out a heartbreaking row of meows. The midnight black fur was dirty and even in the dark, Jake could tell it was infested with fleas. Poor thing. It couldn’t be more than ten weeks old. So new to life and it had already met such cruelty.

The kitten looked up at Jake with amber eyes, speaking louder than words ever could. At that very moment, a decision was made. There was no way Jake could say no to that face.

You had fallen asleep on the couch after watching a few episodes of a new show on Netflix. No matter how many times the boys told you you didn’t have to stay up and wait for them to come home, you couldn’t help but try. Falling asleep in the bed next to them was always better than sleeping alone. Dozing off on the couch was something that happened when you simply couldn’t stay up long enough.

The show had paused on its own, leaving the flat painted in a blueish hue. Jake unlocked the door silently and immediately saw your sleeping form on the couch, Steven’s emerald green blanket just about covering your legs. It was freezing in there but compared to the weather outside, the flat was lovely.

Jake had the kitten safely against his t-shirt, underneath his jacket to keep her as warm as possible. When he realized he was going to tell you about her, he felt a slight pang of nervousness. Would you be okay with it? What about Marc and Steven? Seeing the huge aquarium in the middle of the flat revealed his alters who were aware of the little furball in Jake’s jacket. They hadn’t said anything yet.

“If you can have pets then so can I,” Jake retorted, deciding your opinion on the matter was more important. Besides, how could anyone say no this this kitten? Was he just supposed to leave it be? That couldn’t be right...

“Jake?” You muttered, still half asleep. A smile grew on your face as you realized he was home but your eyes stayed closed, full of sleep. He thought you were absolutely adorable.

“Good morning, cariño,” Jake lowered himself on the floor next to the couch, bringing his free hand to caress your arm gently.

“Morning, baby,” You sighed deeply, trying to open your eyes despite how awfully bright the lights seemed. The moment you saw Jake, you could tell something was up. Why did he have his arm sticking into his coat like that?

“There’s someone you should meet,” Jake began suspiciously, now feeling the kitten beginning to move around more. She had fallen asleep earlier when he was driving, as if she actually enjoyed the car ride. Strange little thing. Jake had feared the roar of the engine would scare her furthermore.

“What?” You blinked the weariness out of your eyes, Jake’s words making you think he had brought a person to the flat at this ungodly hour. What was it? Three in the morning? The wooden alarm clock on the bookshelf revealed as much.

Before you could worry about it, Jake pulled the kitten out of his coat, holding her with two hands even though she fit snugly into the palm of one. The kitten’s paws struck out between Jake’s fingers and she lifted her wobbly head, taking in the surroundings. She meowed again, as if to say hello although she was most likely trying to ask for something.

“Jake...”

“I found her in a dumpster,” Jake explained quickly, too quickly. He felt oddly defensive even though no one had given him a reason to feel that way.

“What on earth? Really?!” You were shocked, no longer caring about how tired you were when you saw the adorable little creature in your boyfriend’s hands. How could anyone do that to something so precious?

“Couldn’t just leave her there,” Jake shrugged, ever so carefully petting the kitten with his thumb, “so I took her with me. Stopped at a shop to grab stuff for her. She has fleas. Look-”

The sight should’ve probably disgusted you, seeing the tiny fleas on the kitten when Jake separated the fur ever so slightly. But all you felt was pity. A need to get those fleas out of that fur as soon as possible.

You also felt love. You were already deeply and madly in love with Jake but seeing him caring for such a vulnerable, tiny creature caused another kind of adoration to bloom in your chest. The sight of him holding the kitten right in front of you with that look in his eyes, silently begging you to be okay with this was too much. Who would’ve thought Jake Lockley was a cat person?

“Let’s see what you got,” You pushed the blanket off you and stood up, physically feeling your heart melting when Jake smiled. His smiles were always precious. This one was particularly cute because of the cat accompanying him.

“You’ll feel better soon, little one,” You told the kitten as if she could understand you. At that moment, Jake relaxed a little bit. He knew he could count on you to help him care for this kitten. He had fallen in love with you because of how much love you had to give. You were so kind and patient, it was hard not to love someone with such qualities.

After bathing her and getting rid of the dozens of fleas that had made a home in her dark fur, feeding her and making a little bed with blankets and a heating pad, the sun was already rising outside.The vet nearby would open up soon. You and Jake could’ve gone to bed but you found it impossible to leave the kitten’s side. Now that she was sleeping, she looked happy and much healthier already.

There was no way you would be able to give her away. The attachment was already there.

You had just become cat parents, although you hadn’t really thought out all the details yet. There was an unspoken agreement lingering in the air.

Jake had his arm wrapped over your shoulder as you snuggled up to him, resting your head against his chest as you kept glancing at the kitten and completely failing to focus on the television show Jake had put on. Trailing off to sleep would’ve been tempting under other circumstances. Right now, you wanted to stay up and keep an eye on the cat. There were so many questions running through your mind.

“What should we call her?” You wondered, resting your hand on Jake’s lap because it was comfortable. He was so warm and you loved it. Who needed a blanket when Jake was right there?

“We’re really doing this?” Jake wanted this, he wanted to keep the cat. He hadn’t really consulted the guys yet.

“I think we should,” You nodded as you spoke, “who else will take care of her? Also she likes you.” That much was true. The cat, or el gato as Jake had called her a few times now, was clearly obsessed with Jake. She had stopped screaming in the bath when Jake held her. At one point, even while being covered in dead fleas, she started purring because you handed her to Jake. It was a small purr but you swore you heard it. You couldn’t blame her.

All of a sudden, Jake heard Steven speaking up for the first time that night. His alter’s reflection was on the mirror nearby, revealing that he was looking at the kitten. Marc was there too. He seemed quite amused.

“What if... what if she eats the fish?!”

Jake bit his tongue, not wanting to upset Steven if that was a genuine worry of his. He had a few remarks in mind that could’ve been funny. This wasn’t the time.

“She won’t eat the fish,” Jake was convinced of the fact. He was willing to bet on it.

You couldn’t hear Steven but hearing one side of the conversation revealed enough to make you smile. It would’ve been interesting to hear what Steven and Marc had to say about everything too. For now, you decided to just listen to Jake. He would fill you in if needed. The four of you had a way to make these conversations work.

Marc decided to stir the pot a little bit, “I don’t know. Cats love fish, don’t they?”

“Hey!” Steven pouted. He didn’t actually seem sad, just ever so slightly worried. Steven would’ve been lying if he said he wanted to get rid of the cat. Not that he showed it, but he couldn’t wait to front so he could officially meet the kitten. She really needed a name. He was thinking of a handful of options he could suggest. Would Bastet be too cheesy?

“Does Steven think she’ll eat Gus and Gus?” You raised an eyebrow and looked in the direction Jake’s coffee coloured irises were glued to. The reflection only revealed you cuddled up to Jake’s side. No matter how long you had been together, the sight made you swoon. You couldn’t believe how lucky you were to be there in such a wonderful relationship.

“Mmhmm,” Jake confirmed, “seems like I’ve brought a vicious beast home, mi vida. Maybe we’ll need a cage,” he joked. They were just like that. There were no ill intentions, you all knew that.

“Steven, my love. Look at her! Does that look like the face of a killer?”

Steven knew you couldn’t see him but he flashed a toothy smile either way, happy that you acknowledged him. He had missed you. It had been a long day.

“Smart move showing the cat to her first, Jake,” Marc commented, “You knew she would fall.”

“Don’t you want her?” Jake needed to know.

Marc and Steven exchanged glances. Neither of them said no. That was a start.

“I mean we can keep her for now and see what happens,” Marc gave in vaguely. He tried so hard to be rational when everyone else loved the furry creature already, but it wasn’t really working. Within minutes, Marc was already fond of the cat. The responsibility would’ve terrified him a few months ago but now he was ready to face that with you by his side.

“I suppose she is kind of cute, isn’t she?” Steven admitted defeat. That was easy. “Besides Y/N adores her already. I wouldn’t dream of taking that joy away from her.”

Great. They all agreed on something for once.

A particularly loud meow caught everyone’s attention. Little kitty in the basket had woken up and she was hungry again. Just after one feeding, she sounded much stronger already. That was a relief to hear.

“Duty’s calling,” You poked Jake’s side, more than excited to help him feed her. Something about it felt so domestic. It was so pure and working together to care for another life was certainly going to be a bonding experience. One you were all looking forward to.

Yubisaki to Renren - Anime First Impressions Review

This review is based off the first 3 episodes of the anime and does contain spoilers. Please be aware that I have not read the manga and am not spoiled.

It's been a while since I've watched a proper Shoujo romance anime. It's not the most common anime/manga demographic for me to check out but I have watched or read quite a few of them over the years and have loved most of them. Some of my favorites are Ore Monogotari!!, Kimi ni Todoke, and Ouran High School Host Club. As of now Yubisaki to Renren absolutely has the potential to be one of my favorites. I'm loving this show!

I really enjoy learning about the experiences of different people and am not super knowledgeable in the life experiences of deaf people. I am glad we are seeing more anime like this and Ranking of Kings that help enrich people's perspectives on disabilities. To me this show is incredibly engrossing and informative towards the deaf experience. In the first 3 episodes we have already gotten so much rich characterization and details into Yuki and her experience as a deaf and mute person. It brings up a lot of detail surrounding basic interaction as a deaf person. Such as how things that could are normal and inoffensive between friends like going up to someone from behind could have a different impact on someone deaf like Yuki. Her having that feeling that people are talking about her, even if she is not reading lips or was communicated.

I have to imagine this is a relatable feeling. Most people seem to be able to pick up on that type of thing to an extent, but I imagine people with disabilities like deafness are more receptive to it. Likely out of getting more attention towards them for being different and feeling excluded. Her wondering how Rin asked for his number and having trouble doing it is very sad, because she is unable to approach it in the same manner. It's great seeing how she goes about tackling problems differently. I appreciate them bringing up how she has hearing aids but still can’t hear. I was wondering about that as I figured you would not bother to wear them if they weren’t working, but I can see how there is still value in it even if Yuki only hears noises she cannot properly understand. I imagine there could be emotional reasons for wanting to wear them as well as well. I also did not know there were separate schools dedicated to teaching the deaf and hard of hearing. I had really only thought of individual tutoring, but it makes sense proper institutions dedicated to it exist. These would provide much higher quality of education to those hard of hearing, but it’s also understandable that it would make someone feel like they are in a protective bubble. Which is how Yuki felt. Another informative detail I like is how one girl in the deaf school called to Yuki verbally, reminding the viewers that there are varieties of deafness. Some have the capacity to speak clearly, some do to the best of their ability, and some like Yuki cannot or choose not to speak at all. It’s easy for people to stick to a simple idea of disabled people, so it’s great that this show is addressing the complexities of the condition. It’s especially great that it accomplishes this by showing rather than telling. I also like when Yuki brings up how the way people sign conveys emotion outside of the words being signed. It’s very cool to learn about how body language also comes through with signing. I had not properly thought about how signing would show bodily expressions the same as any other bodily movement until I saw it here. Such as how Oushi’s signing is aggressive while Itsuomi’s is soft. Yuki can read into someone’s personality based on how they sign. Just within these first few episodes this anime is filled with rich detail that get help you understand Yuki's experiences and empathize with her. It strongly succeeds in engrossing you in Yuki's world. All of these glimpses into how deaf people communicate and intake information is very informative and interesting. This on top of the sweet nature of the show makes it a lot denser than a traditional romance. I'm greatly looking forward to learning more about the life experiences of deaf people through this show.

I also think a strength here is that it takes the experiences of deafness with great care while also using it for jokes. I like the simple miscommunication humor of her not reading lips perfectly leading to her taking something the wrong way. This fits very well and is great for adding comedy in between the dialogue.

The romance side of things is also starting off strong. Itsuomi has me swooning over here with his smooth moves.

I can see the chemistry between these characters already. Both of them are people who desire to gain new experiences. Expanding your world seems like it is a central theme of the show. I really enjoy these early interactions. They feel fairly natural, being awkward in a way that doesn't feel forced or strange. It is natural for him to not know exactly how he should act around her, where it doesn't come across as negative when he acts how he normally does. I like seeing characters' dynamics and feelings toward each other grow. They are still feeling each other out and going with the flow. This really encapsulates the early stages of falling for someone. And these interactions are just so sweet. I love Itsuomi's personality of being very curious. Just within the first few episodes I can tell he has a lot to him and really like him. The fact that he head pets her too makes this feel even more like it was made for me. Watching these episodes really warmed my heart. I'm very interested in seeing the overarching theme of expanding your world be explored as the story continues.

I also really like the other two main characters so far, Oushi and Rin. Oushi seems like he will be the rough person who acts out of strong care. I like his interactions with Yuki, their catty rapport being funny while laying the groundwork of his overprotective behavior having the effect of being demeaning. I like this set up so far, feeling positive that there will be good execution for this issue. Rin feels like a good supportive friend. Her also having a crush at the same time as Yuki adds a lot to their interactions and gives her more to do than just be a wingwoman. I look forward to seeing how her relationships develop and if each of their crushes will cause any conflicts with each other in the future.

From my perspective the anime production seems to be very respectful and taking great care to portray the manga as great as possible. This is primarily shown through the animation quality for the signing. It comes across very smooth and has the finer movements portrayed well. Stiff animation would greatly harm the signing coming across properly in animation. I cannot speak for any removed or added detail compared to the manga, but I feel that the production truly believes in the importance of the visuals. And this elevates the show greatly.

I hope this show continues to be a sweet romance while getting into the serious issues it is setting up. I hope we get a lot of great growth for these characters and for the character interactions to continue feeling natural, rather than leading to forced melodrama. At the very least if it continues to be rich and enlightening, I will continue to love this show. Thanks for reading! you said you've been a kuro fan since 2009, I have to know what got you into the series and what has made you stay with it for so long?

what about the fandom did you enjoy back in the old days?

Ahahaha, oh wow, these questions feel loaded. Thank you for asking them, though, I haven't fully considered them before...

I'll start with the second question, because it's easier to answer. What did I enjoy about the fandom in the old days? I didn't enjoy the fandom in the old days! Not on the whole, at least. I was just on the outskirts of it, more observer than participant. I wrote fanfiction, but most people didn't read it because it wasn't romantic. The memes weren't funny, the shipping wars were insane, and SebaCiel was completely unavoidable. The current fandom is way better than the old one! (I'm sure there were cool people around back then too, but I didn't go looking for them because I didn't think they existed.)

I kind of started dipping my toes in the fandom water in 2012 in the midst of the Campania arc. But even then, by 2014 I felt a little meh from all the cricket and I varied in my interest during Green Witch, so I really didn't participate much until around 2017. The Blue Cult stuff had me bored, but then when things started ramping up towards the twin reveal, I was back in the game. Or rather, in the game for the first time. The explosion of actual good memes had me hook, line, and sinker.

Now for your first question. My initial exposure to Kuroshitsuji was season 1 of the anime. It had wrapped in Japan less than a year ago, and my sister told me that she sort of liked it after seeing the first few episodes at our high school's anime club. She gave me a brief rundown of the premise and I guess the seventeen-year-old me was interested because I went to anime club for the first and last time next week. It was the episode with the corset scene and I was appalled. I was also appalled by my peers, because the teacher hadn't shown up that day to moderate, so a lot of kids were making out and drawing on each others' bodies with sharpies, and the few people watching the episode were wolf-whistling and clapping. It was a lot for a dweeby little goodie-two-shoes to take in.

But for some reason I persevered and watched the rest of the series on my own time. The first episode also appalled me. I think the whole show did. I don't really know why I watched it, other than perhaps a fascination with historical anime, but I definitely found Sebastian and Ciel worthy of parody, because a few months later, I was writing fanfiction about them. In high school, I wrote solely humor fanfics, and they were always about Sebastian and Ciel trying to make each other's lives worse through japes and antics.

Then in early college, I started reading the manga when I caught wind of Sebastian being "dead" and thought that sounded like an interesting development. I gave the earlier chapters a try and shocker, it was so much better than the anime (though I skipped the curry arc for some reason, only read it for the first time like a year ago). Then I got to the Circus arc scene where Sebastian has to help Ciel with his eyepatch strings and I felt the epiphany grow. Dadbastian is love, Dadbastian is life, etc. It was hard not to feel like a one-man army at the time, but a handful of others enjoyed the concept too.

And then the Campania arc happened and I was absolutely gobsmacked by how good it was. I will never forget what it was like to be there for the badass Lizzie reveal. That day, anime and manga fansites and subgroups across the net were all united in Lizzie love. It was so real 🥹😭

Moments like that kept me going, as well as a hope for small Dadbastian-esque moments and the promise of more Victorian flair. Over time, I've only gained more appreciation for the side characters and the themes, and I love the current fandom to pieces, so even though the story is slow, I'm more invested than ever.

Wild Field Trips headcanons: the Frogwater Pond Gang

(this is for my Wild Kratts/Magic School Bus crossover AU if you're curious)

First of all, the so-called Frogwater Pond Gang consists of the following kids: Gavin, Ronan, Jenny, Katie, Aidan, and Nolan.

HC's for each of the kids:

Jenny:

The second oldest of the gang.

Full name: Jennifer Kitt

Likes to watch birds.

Favorite animal: raccoon

Sometimes her friends and family affectionately call her "Jenny Wren." Out of the MSB kids, Phoebe does it the most often.

She never leaves home without her purple backpack or her pink tennis shoes.

In her backpack: acorns, a pocket bird guide, Fig Newtons, a notebook & pencil, extra hair ties, a water bottle, a guide to mammals, and a raccoon plushie.

Biracial (need more HCs on that)

Has two siblings, one older and one younger. I have not thought of names or personalities for said siblings.

Keeps button quails as pets. For the non-bird-experts reading this, button quails are not actually quail. They are in the order Charadriiformes, making them shorebirds.

Gavin:

Full name: Gavin Johnson

Favorite animal: Largemouth Bass

"Average fourth/fifth grader knows at least 10 species of fish and their biology" factoid is actually a statistical error. Fishes Gavin, who spends all his summer free time fishing, reading about fish, or visiting the aquarium, is an outlier and should not have been counted.

Proud owner of two fishing trophies. The first one is the third-place trophy he won in the contest prior to "Bass Class." And the second is obviously the one he got in the actual episode.

He gets along really well with his little brother Ronan, and his cousins Aidan and Nolan. In fact, you'd think he has three younger brothers instead of just one!

As seen in the "Animals Who Live to Be 100 Years Old" episode, his weapon of choice is a broomstick.

Ronan:

Three years younger than Gavin, and two years younger than Jenny.

Full name: Ronan Johnson

Favorite animal: Wild Turkey (but blue jays are a close second)

Likes playing soccer, hockey, and other field sports.

Most likely to find a weird bug or critter and bring it home. It happened with the milk snake AND the praying mantis egg case.

For the purposes of this AU, Gavin and Ronan's last name is "Johnson" and so are their cousin's last names.

Favorite book series is The Lord of the Rings, which his parents read to him and his brother.

Named his pet hognose snake "Tolkien." Which led to this exchange over email one time.

"Tolkien is having his first ever egg. It's. Not going well."

"TOLKIEN IS A SNAKE. HE'S MY SNAKE. MY PET SNAKE. HE IS EATING AN EGG. AUTHOR JOLKIEN ROLKIEN ROLKIEN TOLKIEN IS NOT BIRTHING AN EGG."

(Gavin told him that J.R.R. Tolkien's full name was "Jolkien Rolkien Rolkien Tolkien" and Ronan believed it for an embarrassingly long time.)

Katie:

About the same age as Jenny.

Full name: Katherine Akiyama

Favorite animal: Pileated Woodpecker

Loves being out in the snow. (Favorite activity: sledding!)

She's the one who had the idea to build a tree house in the backwoods.

Enjoys drawing and writing.

I headcannon her as Japanese-American, but I don't know what else to do with that hc.

She speaks a little bit of Japanese, but not much.

Her other favorite animal is the snowshoe hare.

The name "Frogwater Pond Gang" for her friend group was also her idea. (All the friend groups in her favorite books had cool names, so her ACTUAL group of friends needed one, too.)

Video Makers Review

“Video Makers” is probably Adventure Time’s most effective use of its side characters thus far. Pretty much every main and secondary character besides Ice King and Gunter show up. All of Finn and Jake’s closest friends are at movie club: Marceline, BMO, Princess Bubblegum, Lady Rainicorn, Tree Trunks, Lumpy Space Princess, and Shelby. While several of these characters were also in the opening scene of “Power Animal”, this is much more intimate. It’s really cool how each guest gets a unique drink that fits their character. Princess Bubblegum has a sentient candy drink. She uses candy biomass to control her age. This must be how she maintains the body of an eighteen year old despite being about 835 in this episode. I also love her rocking a casual outfit this time. I mentioned in my “Go With Me” review that Finn’s friendships with Marceline and Bubblegum caused them to see each other more frequently. Even though they are sitting apart and not seen chatting, it’s interesting that they both attend a small, weekly get together. Marceline actually gets a couple of lines, making it her only speaking cameo in the first four and a half seasons.

It’s funny how worried Finn is about adhering to the copyright warning. It totally fits Finn’s character, but obviously it isn’t referring to showing the movie to a few friends. And Jake is right that those laws aren’t in effect anymore. We get our first mention of The Great Mushroom War, another example of significant lore being dropped so casually. It was pretty obvious already that Ooo was post-apocalyptic, especially from “Business Time”, but this was further confirmation for people who hadn’t pieced it together yet.

I love all the scenes of Finn, Jake, and BMO filming Ooo. It feels like they are making an art movie or a documentary. It does a terrific job capturing the beauty and weirdness of the mundanity in everyday Ooo. Despite Finn and Jake calling it “random junk”, I’d totally watch it. They basically filmed Adventure Time season six. Finn and Jake try to film more structured scenes. The scenes don’t play out the way Finn and Jake intend, causing them to argue over what genre they want their film to be. The way the actors go off script is much more funny and entertaining. Finn and Jake should take their movie less seriously, and just go with the flow. We get appearances from more recurring characters: Slime Princess, Cinnamon Bun, Mr Cupcake, and Peppermint Butler. This episode is a real milestone in Adventure Time’s worldbuilding, showing off a structured world with various established elements they can naturally pull from. Shelby also says his iconic catchphrase, “check please”, for the first time.

The ending of the episode is fantastic. BMO’s reaction to Finn and Jake feels like a child reacting uncomfortably to their parents arguing. BMO’s song is very touching. In addition to BMO finally getting to tag along with Finn and Jake for an entire episode, it provides his first truly impactful scene, which still holds up as one of his best moments. I like how quickly it causes Finn and Jake to make up, who of course wouldn’t stay mad about this long. Lumpy Space Princess’s intense reactions to all of this are also really funny. She’s eating this drama up.

Kyo Sohma is absolutely my all time favorite anime/manga character, ever. EVER.

When I was 14 in (2003) I was coerced into joining an anime club by my senior. At the time, I had read Marmalade Boy and Cardcaptor Sakura. I hadn't even slipped my toes into anything else yet. My first anime club session they were watching the first episode of Fruits Basket where Kyo comes smashing through the ceiling, all dumb and stuff.

As soon as I saw him I was Engrossed. I wanted to see more, read more, and know all about him. After that day I begged my mother to let me get the first few manga available from TokyoPop. Then I followed the manga obsessively. When I got Internet access I followed scanlations of the chapters and eventually had them all by the time the 23rd volume released in 2007.

Fruits Basket introduced me to the world of angst, drama, and romance, and holds a very special place in my heart. I loved Kyo so much as a kid that my friends teased me saying I would marry a ginger one day.

(which, unrelatedly, I did. Which is hilarious.)

Me and my husband also got matching Fruits Basket tattoos, because he loves it too (although he only saw the 2019 version.)

I still own the original TokyoPop release of the manga, and I keep it stored in a air tight bin away from the grubby hands of my children, at least until I can display it properly.

I recommend Fruits Basket to everyone to read or watch, because it's so special to me and I will talk about it for days if you let me.

@disgruntled-twig I've posted about Akechi and Kuboyasu specifically a couple of times (uh. wait a few years lol) and a few more times as a general "all the Psychickers have a huge crush on Kuboyasu" ship haha! It's on my ship chart and everything XD

I just think it would be SO funny if the Psychickers simped for Kuboyasu HARD on main and he's just completely oblivious and thinks they're platonic besties for like. Years.

The Psychickers aren't even mad about it because Kuboyasu's internal limit for what is acceptable to do with homies has been highly skewed by being in gangs from all-boys schools (imo), so they get to cuddle with him whenever he comes over to hang out. They put on their cutest fits, fight over who gets to sit on his lap this time, and flirt like hell and Kuboyasu is just like "hahaha these guys are great!".

It's just a total clown show and it's so so funny to me personally. They'll eventually get him in the polycule but the journey is long and hilarious.

So this is a thing that will canonically happen in my Moving Forward universe (I think it's already been mentioned that the Psychickers have lil crushes on him in Extra Love Stories 2 iirc?) and I've doodled it because it tickles my funny bone so much:

But as for Akechi and Kuboyasu specifically, I totally think they could have chemistry, but they need to spend more time together for that to happen.

It seems like Akechi can definitely dial down his chatter if he wants to– note how he behaves himself with Saiki's mom! So I think once Akechi officially joins the friend group post-canon, he'll try to limit his monologuing at first to give them all a chance to get used to him lol. EXTREMELY difficult for him but worth the effort since these are his Kusuo-kun's beloved friends.

Kuboyasu will be getting more patient over time, plus he'll be able to put up with Akechi a lot more once he learns to trust him and isn't on the defensive. That's the shadow leader's homie after all, if Saiki trusts Akechi then that's enough of an endorsement for him!

Once they're comfortable around each other, I think they'd get along really well! Kuboyasu is curious and kind of a romantic by nature, so I think he'd be fascinated by Akechi's knowledge of the natural world (as seen when he identified the bug in the sweet potato episode).

Akechi's nature knowledge seems to be based mostly on encyclopedias vs personal experience, so it would be SO fun for them to go hiking and find all of these creatures and plants in nature together! I usually include Nendo and Mera in the hiking club, but there's no reason why they can't go on solo adventures together haha.

Also, we know Akechi likes Cyborg Ciderman, which is an advertisement disguised as cheesy action anime (is it an anime in-universe actually?? hsfjdlshfks hard to tell). So I bet he'd have fun watching action flicks with Kuboyasu, and Kuboyasu would definitely like watching anime with Akechi, he clearly likes Dragonball and I can see them talking fan theories and stuff!

Another point of connection, and I've posted about it before but I can't find it, could be self-defense. Akechi would definitely ask Kuboyasu for some fighting tips n tricks, so he doesn't have to resort to ...chemical warfare... any more. And Kuboyasu wants to be a teacher, so this is good practice, and they start practicing and sparring.

Akechi isn't physically strong, and he'll never be as fast as Kuboyasu, but his ability to predict the opponent's moves are uncanny and he's clearly good at strategy, so he might be able to dodge and land hits unexpectedly. Not enough to rival Kuboyasu but enough to keep himself safe and be a fun challenge!

Anyways, I think it's an interesting and fun ship! Plan to write some formally eventually, just have a LOT of WIPs already and I've been more on a comics kick lately than writing so we'll see lol. Thanks for the ask!!

I still don't understand the obsession with Seiya. Let's just think about this situation from Usagi's perspective. Your fiance has gone to another country for school while you remain in your own country where you're just trying to get through school while something inside is telling you something is very wrong with your fiance because he's not calling. However, as if this isn't bad enough, some popular guy starts stalking you and insisting on being in a relationship with you although you already mentioned more than once you have a boyfriend, you have tried to let them off gently, but they can't seem to take the hint. To add more salt to the wound, your friends are encouraging this behavior and gaslighting you into playing along just so they can get with the guy themselves, which leads to you being humiliated and bullied. All the while, you still worry about your fiance and having the other guy continually insult him and trying convince you that he doesn't even love you anymore.

Because you know emotional abuse and gaslighting are just signs of love, right?

I have always looked at the situation from her POV ever since I watch Stars back in 2017. Especially the first episode after Mamo left and S.A.D and their two back up singers I mean the other two Starlights come to their school.

All Usagi wanted to do was try to get trough the school year without Mamo being there and be unbothered.

That's it.

Because the looks she gave them through that whole episode..

"I don't want to fuck with you. Leave me the fuck alone."

Which was so fucking relatable!!!

She showed zero interest in the fact S.A.D was an idol and The Starlight’s while the other girls was gushing over them.

All she wanted to do was make it through the rest of the school year without Mamo in peace damn it!

She told Luna when she ask if it was a club she was want to join like the girls are and this was her answer.

If the school said they was doing a student exchange program with high school students in America aka Boston Mass where Harvard is at, Usagi would be the first to put her name on the list and get the fuck out of there to see her man. English be damned. ( Which how the other four and Luna treat her I don't blame her. ) ( She looks like an Alien in the last pic but the 90's anime have the best animation... )

When S.A.D and the Starlights come to school, so was so unfazed with the fact they were Jpop Stars/Idols while all the other girls around the school was fangirling since they were apart of the fanclub. Also while Mina was start scheming, Mako was fangirling, Ami was secretly fangirling and Rei went from her damn school to their school just to see them after school.

Just think about the fact that she technically met them first before the four groupies I mean her friends met them.

But the way they acted toward Usagi because it because she could careless about them and the other two..

Doesn't make any sense.

And I get it.

It was nothing wrong with them fangirling over JPop Stars/Idols/ Boy Brands.

I am a 90's baby who was kid during TRL days on MTV and it was Backstreet Boys Vs.Nsync Vs. 98 Degrees. ( This was before social media was a thing)

My classmates had pics of B2K, Pretty Ricky, and other black bands on the wall and fight over who was their fave.

Hell Might as well include Boys to Men, All for One, New Edition.

Hell my sister was a HUGE fan of New Kids on the Block when she a teenager. Which now a few years ago, she got into KPop and is a huge fan of Shinee and other Kpop groups like NCT 127 ( and the off shoot groups with it's fifty elven members lol) , EXO, Stray Kids and others. Hell it got me into listening girl groups like Mamamoo, Red Velvet, Girls' Generation, CLC, Black Pink, After School and others

So I understand that and the fact they are 16 year old's girls because I was their age once.

Hell Naoko in the manga got them fangirling over them as well but it's a balance which the 90's anime didn't give them. They kept pushing S.A.D on her for their own personal grain and not thinking about Usagi doesn't want NOTHING to do with them.

Because this shit in that Softball episode and the Episode where S,A.D is at her house alone..

She gives two fucks that S.A.D is an Idol. All she wants is to see her damn boyfriend.

And she keep telling S.A.D over and over again." Hey I have a boyfriend." Hey I really don't vibe with you. Leave me alone." Hey We are not dating. I got someone I'm waiting on to come back." and S.A. D keep thinking " Oh She's just playing hard to get. She really digs me. Let me keep throwing my weight I mean Swag around her. "

Which ends up to their own heartbreak on the damn roof when it supposed to been about her and not about them.

Cause that moment was about her. I’m really tried of seeing so many scenes in the 90’s anime that her feelings get sideline for someone else. I’m tired of the part of fandom saying it’s about both of them.

She is on the damn ground in the gotdamn rain venting about missing her (dead) boyfriend cause she doesn’t have a clue why he’s not replying in which she told NOONE the whole damn season that she haven’t and you have the nerve to be like “ Am I not Good Enough”

You would done so much better if you would have hug her or just told her “ Come on lets get you out of this rain.”

Since they keep putting themselves in a situation that they know jackshit about and thinking Mamo didn't give a damn about her which is father from the damn truth.

The more insult to injury after the rooftop scence her "best friend" have the nerve to say this.

She may have told yall that she haven't heard from him since he left but since yall been shitty ass friends for almost 200 episodes...

Especially one arc in particular which you sit up here , joked about her being dumped and precede to give her the most shitty ass advice you can give someone. " Oh You got to trust him" even tho he really give her ZERO reasons to trust him since he was hot and cold towards her. Which the rest of yall was like " Oh he had his reasons" which he did but yall didn't fucking rally behind her which yall most def didn't rally behind her dealing with Seiya and could told them to back off.

No yall asses was too busy using her proximity to Space Alien Diva ass and their two back up singers for yall own personal grain.

People always going to use the break up arc against him when the one time he wasn't thinking rationally at all because all he wanted to do was protect her ( which he honestly though not from the dreams he was having but from himself because he still through he couldn't have no one close to him. Since he didn't have a set of friends and support system like Usagi did) which he didn't think it through and how it would affect her and himself greatly.

He was a freaking 17 years old boy having a dream about marrying the girl he is in love with ,having her die on which supposed to be the happiest day of their lives and having a booming voice to telling him " Oh you need to stay away from Usagi" which in his mind translates to him thinking that he is bad news/curse to her since she already died one lifetime because of their love.

Which he would rather just put the burden of staying away from her and dealing with it on his own instead of just telling her. Which for a 17 year old boy what the fuck do you expect? He have not matured yet which the most rational thing to do was to tell her. ( But hell some adults still don't tell shit.) Rei had dreams in S about the whole world including the girls getting destroyed and haven't told a soul until Pluto told her to tell them. No one got on her withholding important information about the world to her team.

But oh no

That's not forgivable but "Am I not good enough" is

When a person who made Usagi finally breaking down about missing Mamo and feeling like she can't do all this shit she is dealing with by herself into being " Hey what about me?"

I mean what about you?

Half of the season you got on her damn nerves thinking she was playing hard to get when she was constantly telling you she had a boyfriend and wasn't interested.

The rest of the season yall become friends but you thought you can " Treat her better than he can."

Then being upset that you found your princess and she's not interested in you so transfer your feelings to a person who most def not interested in you and your ass got hurt because you wouldn't simply listen to her and leave her the fuck alone.

Unrequited love is a bitch but come the fuck on.

Then it trips me out when people translates that scene to "Oh Am I not doing a good enough job to distract you from your sadness.” instead of S.A.D trying to “replace” Mamo is still making the scene about them.

Because S.A.D is still not understanding the fact that when she saw that rose, everything she held on inside the whole season come out and it was not only just about Mamo.

She have a group of friends and still feels utterly alone to the point that she didn’t even tell them she heard nothing from Mamo.

She has a guardian cat that she don’t even tell her what’s going on because she is so judgmental and still act like Usagi can’t do the work.

She misses not only Mamo that she doesn’t know what’s going on with him not retuning her calls or her letters but missing Chibiusa.

She have to deal with Outers and the Starlights bullshit and how the Outers don’t want to hang with S.A.D or be allies with the Starlights. While the Starlights don’t want S.A.D to do the same thing.

She constantly dealing with the inners shit and how they acted like groupies while using her to try to get close to S.A.D the until they found out S.A.D and Starlights identities. Which the inners are completely useless in fights she is having now.

She had to deal with S.A.D shit and not understanding that she have a boyfriend and just ask her to do things before just thinking she will automatedly do it with them.

To top that all off she got to deal with Galaxia and her people stealing people Star Seed.

All the while not having the one person that have been by her side since she become Sailor Moon. Mamoru.

No 16 year old girl should have to deal with that much shit.

And it all come ahead with her seeing that rose and think maybe just maybe he come back to her finally. That she’s not alone.

The saddness she feels runs deep and just because you think you finally decided to stop “ shoot your shot” and be supported of her you think it’s going to “Proof” magically disappear. Because you make her smile or laugh for a few minutes.

Naw dear It doesn’t work that way. No way in hell does it way that way because it’s more than her missing her boyfriend.

Usagi was depressed this season and you can’t tell me otherwise. So no amount of S.A.D trying to make her “ happy” would actually make her “ happy” if she’s not mentally.

But we should feel bad for S.A.D because they love her oh so much by pushing boundaries and throwing emotional baggage that weight a fucking ton on a girl who have to deal with her OWN emotional baggage!!

"Poor S.A.D! They just love Usagi so much. Bad Usagi for not bring their feelings into consideration while you are breaking down about being alone and missing your boyfriend.”

911 Lone Star Rewatch: 1x07

Oh my god, she's alive! I'm still horribly behind. But I'm home sick today and taking it as an opportunity to catch up.

Okay, Bum Steer. Let's get into it!

The bull call is very fun and definitely very funny. But honestly, if I was really in that car lot and there wasn't the funky music playing that situation would be absolutely horrifyingggg. Like that one shot of the woman holding her leg and screaming. No thank you.

There's really something about firefighters carrying axes. It feels so right.

(how tall is Jim Parrack) (6'4"! I thought he was taller than that honestly)

"We have a... bull... in a car..."

Firefighters are the real MVPs man. Like showing up to help with animals in distress, people in distress, walking into literal fires.

I feel like you could write an entire thesis about the instances in the field--or just in professional settings in general--when TK calls his dad 'dad' versus when he calls him 'cap'/'captain'.

I've really never taken time to appreciate the country cover of Eye of the Tiger that they use in Owen's CPAT training scene.

Do we know if TK went to college? I can't remember if it's ever been discussed before. Because Owen did, right? But I don't know if TK did. Because he was pretty young when he was in the throws of his addiction, and he was actively working at the time.... Someone let me know if they have insight on this.

I think Paul's feelings in that kitchen scene talking about Owen not being transparent about his cancer and what is going to happen with Billy is sooo valid. "The good ol' boys club"

Is the first episode that we see Michelle go to the homeless encampment under the bridge? It really takes them a while to get to this part of the story. I guess they do introduce her volunteering program earlier than that. But it's weird that they don't set anything up about this encampment until episode seven.

As an aside, aren't insulin pens supposed to be refrigerated?

My friend sad-eyes, who I'm giving a vague nickname, and who certainly has nothing to do with your missing presumed dead sister. Sad-eyes is over there in that tent that is differently colored than all the other tents.

"That blue truck your sister got into" Not Carlos calling his best-friend, /and wife/, Michelle's 'sister' rather than her name. LOLLLL. So honestly the Iris plot hole doesn't bother me like at all. I mostly find it funny. But rewatching this season... like with just a few changes in their dialogue choices and I think they could have gotten away with it. Like have Carlos seem more upset/invested and have him call her by her name more often. And yeah sure, I can buy it.

You know what.... now that I'm thinking about it. So they claim to have planned Iris and Carlos being secretly married "from the beginning", which there is literally zero chance. But what is the likelihood that what they actually planned was Michelle and Carlos being married.... And when Liv Tyler left they abandoned that storyline idea and then circled back to it for season 4 to bring back Iris (and add drama). Hmm. Obviously there is a much bigger age gap between Michelle and Carlos. But it feels way more believable, given how close they were.

We get a lot of scenes of Judd and Grace getting into bed or it being first thing in the morning. It feels like a vast majority of their scenes they are in their PJs.

Look at TK doing all this paramedic stuff! We love a dual-certified king.

I love Detective Washington. *cough cough* And she would be a great co-worker for Carlos *cough cough*. But seriously, Detective Reyes when? I know there is a large possibility of them going the Texas ranger route with Carlos. But I would love for him to have something that is separate from his Dad's whole thing.

(I love that Judd does that two finger point with his pointer finger and his pinky. I've been watching a lot of sopranos recently, and Tony Soprano does that. So it makes it feel like Judd stands on business)

"Your son seems to have his head on his shoulders. At least now. I heard he had a little trouble back in New York." LOW BLOW CHARLIE SWAN.

I gasped when the lightening struck, despite knowing it was going to happen.

Also, Owen carrying Billy in and then saying "someone call 911!" always annoys me. Cuz aren't you supposed to specify exactly who should call 911?? Like isn't that what you are taught to do. Because when just say 'someone' everyone assumes someone else is doing it.

"Yeah I know he still in there, TK, cuz he ain't come out yet!" Easily in the top 5 best lines of the season.

wow 10/10! And the end of the season 1 arc with everyone's favorite weasel, Billy. Season 1 is quickly wrapping up!
