#very sad because I keep thinking about the Uchiha
Text
Thinking about the Uchihas agreeing to an alliance because they’re tired and they wanna stop fighting and they just want peace
Thinking about how a Senju was their first hokage
Thinking about how their second hokage was another Senju
Thinking about how that Senju was the brother of the first instead of someone in the next generation that could help the village progress
Thinking about Tobirama insisting they’re cursed with hatred while he’s the one so full of hatred that he does everything he can to make their time in the village (that was made by both the Senu and Uchiha) suck
Thinking about how the third hokage was the student of the second hokage and he apparently believed the Uchiha were so far beyond redemption that he allowed them to be massacred
Thinking about how so many of the Uchiha we know about just wanted peace and for their loved ones to be safe
Thinking about how the last full blooded Uchiha doesn’t feel safe and happy in the village his ancestors made to keep him and the other Uchiha safe because all that village has done has hurt him and how that’s villainized
Thinking about how the most tragic part of Hashirama and Madara’s friendship is that for all Hashirama loved Madara and wanted to help the Uchiha, they would’ve been in a much better place if it wasn’t for him trying to force peace

What would it be like for Reader if all of team 7 was yandere for them? Can be ninja or civilian, either way
Yandere Team 7
Tag List: @issamomma @repostingmyfavs @chickennugnugnug
Warnings: Platonic & non platonic yanderes, possessive tendencies, obsessive tendencies, slight degradation, future wife ideals, ass slapping, power play
Note: Just pretend that you’ve replaced Sakura.
Checkout my Master List here.
—————————————————————————
Tumblr media
The Leader: Kakashi Hatake
He’s going to be constantly keeping an eye on you.
You’ll be lucky if he even lets you fight during missions.
Anytime he thinks you’re putting yourself in the slightest bit of danger, you can expect to immediately be reprimanded. You barely know what’s going on half the time. You once got in trouble with him just for saving a dog who got caught in a strong current in the river. Man, did he give you a tongue lashing for that.
He treats you with kid gloves because he loves you and sees himself as more of your father-figure than your sensei.
He picks up treats for you and only you.
In his room, there’s the Team 7 photo of you, Naruto, Sasuke, and him in his room, there’s the one of his original team with Minato, Rin, and Obito, and then there’s a photo next to it of just the two of you. You’re making a silly face, and he has an arm slung around your shoulders. It’s cute, and it’s his favorite photo.
You told Kakashi it was your dream to be part of the Anbu, and he scoffed at you and literally said, “Over my dead body.”
Tumblr media
The Mouth: Naruto Uzumaki
It wasn’t exactly hard for Naruto to fall for you. You’re the most beautiful girl in the world to him.
You actually treat him like he’s a person. You treat him with respect, and you don’t have any idea what that means to him.
He has pictures of you all over his apartment. Some of them are just the two of you, a lot of them are just you.
Naruto sees himself marrying you one day. He can’t wait for that day to come.
He’s always complimenting you. He gushes about how pretty, smart, and powerful you are.
He knows it’s your dream to be an Anbu member, and while he really doesn’t like how dangerous that sounds, he encourages you to follow your heart. (He can always just show up in case something goes wrong).
Tumblr media
The Muscle: Sasuke Uchiha
It was very hard for Sasuke to fall for you.
You had to be very special for Sasuke to even regard you for longer than half a second.
You’re the type of girl who doesn’t fawn over him like he’s used to. You’re more focused on trying to climb the ranks as a ninja.
Sasuke slaps your ass when nobody is looking (especially Kakashi). Your ass was made for his hands.
“Did you just smack my ass, Sasuke?”
“Yeah, I did. What are you gonna do about it?”
And you do nothing because you can do nothing. 😭
Sasuke can’t see you becoming an Anbu member. It doesn’t matter how powerful you think you are. He doesn’t have to worry about you becoming an Anbu member because he can’t see them taking you on. You can barely hold up your own against him in training. You really think they’re gonna take you in?
He’s still condescending to you. He loves to tease you, likes to make himself feel above you. He puts you in your place and makes sure you stay there.
———
Now for the conflict. All of them are Yandere for you. Of course, Kakashi’s love for you is purely platonic. However, he doesn’t like how Naruto and Sasuke have the hots for you. You’re like his little girl, you are his little girl, and you’ll always be his little girl.
You feel conflicted, like you have to choose between Naruto and Sasuke.
Naruto and Sasuke are always trying to compete against each other for you, and it always leads to a physical brawl that Kakashi has to break up.
Nothing ever goes accordingly for you. All of your Anbu applications are always disappearing or being denied. This makes you really sad because you feel like your dream will never come true.
At the end of the day, at least you have your team to fall back on.

Hi would it be alright to request yandere romantic hcs for Naruto please with a female reader if possible maybe she was part of his team in his younger days ; love to see what you come up with ^-^
I love this question, especially because of the concept of being a teammate, basically being the third member of team 7, since I think that another female character should have been the tri-lead and not Sakura (It's not that I dislike Sakura, in fact, I feel that she is a character with a lot of potential but undervalued by her author who only went out of her way to develop Sasuke. Sakura is a wasted potential like almost all the women in the series, which It makes me think that Kishi doesn't know how to write women… or he's lazy because they aren't Uchihas or Sasuke)
In fact, I am thinking in the future of making a fic with a team 7 made up of Sasuke, Naruto and Hinata, since they are the respective reincarnations of Indra, Asura and the descendant of Hamura, but that will be for another post
yandere Naruto Romantic Headcanons
Tumblr media
Well, here I am going to develop Naruto in his early age, that is, Naruto from the first part of the series, it does not include shippuden, the last and I will pretend that Boruto does not exist (don't ask me questions about Boruto, I didn't see the series and I am not interested beyond the concept of Boruto's visual power but only because it would be a development of the byakugan not because I am interested in the character), so here we will see the child version of a twelve-year-old yandere Naruto (if I remember correctly, that's how old he was at that time) until he leaves the village with Jiraiya, keeping this in mind, let's continue
We all know the sad story of Naruto and how painful his childhood was, without parents, hated by the entire village, without friends and all that drama
The important thing is that from all that negligence and lack of human interaction, the need was born in him to attract attention in any way possible
basically what I want to say here is that he would turn yandere for literally anyone who pays him the slightest bit of attention and above all, this is key, who treats him well
I'm not talking about great charitable gestures or kindness, I'm talking about treating him with cordiality, basically the first principle of a decent human being (yes, that's how badly he's been treated)
He would trust you 100% if you approached and proposed to be his friend (let's remember part of a flashback in some filler chapter where he went into a dangerous forest to look for a kunai from an enemy ninja of the village just because some stupid and very bad-hearted children said that they would be his friends if he brought said weapon, basically sending him to die if it weren't for Iruka-sensei)
Another thing is that Naruto is tremendously obsessive, just look at how he behaves with his teammates, that will not compare to the obsession he developed with you.
and we must take into account, here Sakura does not exist in his head, you are the prettiest girl in the village and he has made his intentions very clear to you that in the future he wants to be your lover (boyfriend, in a innocent way since he is a kid)
He will not see mistakes or defects, he will fight with Sasuke or Kakashi if one of those two scolds you or disrespects you
he will not like your friends, not because he is jealous or that he thinks they are going to steal you from him, but it is more because of his insecurity and fear of being alone again, that is something you can repair If you make your friends also friends with him
He is clingy to the extreme but not very observant in the sense that he won't always remember your favorite color or food, but at least he remembers special dates.
your enemies are his enemies and he does hold grudges against people who hurt you
He will also see you as someone above him and everyone, he is like a worshiper (remember how he thought well of Sakura? It's the same but amplified) you are a being incapable of making mistakes in his eyes
His beloved's opinion is very important to him, so much so that it is above anyone else, above his teacher, Sasuke, Iruka, the ramen guy or even the Hokage.
At this stage he will be a little annoying, irritating and clingy, but nothing dangerous, a child in love, the most dangerous thing about his yandere side would come out later when his crush stops being childish.

Hello ^~^
I would like to request neji, gaara and itachi (or whoever you want, really!! I really just want pup interactions) and the things that they let their pups get away with and things that they definitely would NOT let their pups get away with. Been reading your head cannons with their pups and I am obsessed!!
Hello! Pup headcanons are so much fun~ I hope you enjoy!
NEJI
Tumblr media
What does Neji let his pup get away with you ask?
Nothing.
Okay, well, that's not entirely true, but he is pretty strict when his pup is young.
Ultimately though, he's weak to almost anything that his pup asks for to learn. His house is filled with expensive hobby objects that his pup used once and then forgot about.
Cameras, clay, chemistry kits, wool, countless how-to books.
Neji really prioritises learning and enrichment, so he rarely says no to purchases needed to learn a new hobby.
Obviously, kids are flaky, but everytime he says "what about the thing I just bought you?"
his pup says "but this time I reaaaaalllly want to learn this, and I'll keep at it, I promise!"
They rarely do, but Neji caves every time.
And what does he never let his pup get away with?
Everything
Swearing.
Even when his pup is an adult he tells them that he doesn't want to hear them use bad language. He just thinks it's incredibly disrespectful for them to use that sort of language around him, their parent.
He knows they use it with their friends and that's fine, but he's their father, not their friend, so he doesn't want to hear it. Ever.
GAARA
Tumblr media
So, what does Gaara let his pups get away with?
Interrupting him at work, for sure.
He's just soooo weak for his little ones, they are his biggest priority, so while he might lightly scold them if they barge into the Kazekage's office without a good reason, he's too soft to actually stop them.
Whether his pups are crying toddlers brought in by his mate, or school children on their way home, or even teens having a rough day, he invites them in, pauses his work/meeting, and gives them hugs and some of the snacks that he keeps in the bottom draw for them.
He's been known to keep his toddlers on his lap while in important meetings as well.
Because he's Kazekage, sure, but Gaara never forgets that he's a father too.
What do Gaara's pups never get away with?
Hmm, Gaara is very relaxed and lenient, but lying to him is something he takes very seriously.
It truly breaks his heart and trust if his pups lie to him about big things. Obviously a toddler lying about eating a cookie is not a big deal to him, but his older children covering something up and lying to his face... it hurts him.
He's not asking for 100% full transparency all the time, but if he asks a serious question and they lie, then he finds out that they lied, he's hurt enough to ground them and take away their privileges for sure. And his disappointed face is punishment in of itself.
ITACHI
Tumblr media
Itachi is sort of a middle ground between the other two. He's nowhere near as strict as Neji nor as lenient as Gaara.
So what does he let his pups get away with?
Occasional fake 'sick' days.
He's a little ashamed that he's so lax about this, but if one of his pups is sad, or stressed, or even just wants to stay at home and cuddle with him all day, he gives them the day off from school.
Itachi sort of wishes he could home school them, but it's important for Uchiha integration into Konoha that the future clan head's children go to the main academy school.
But he still gets these occasional special 'sick' days where he puts off all chores to cuddle and play with his children uninterrupted for the day.
But what is he strict about?
Fighting between siblings.
He won't have his children being mean to each other or purposely winding each other up.
He has been known to project a teeny bit. Viewing his children as him and Sasuke subconsciously. He doesn't even know that he does it, tbh, all he knows is it makes him very tense and anxious when his children fight, even playfully.
His household is thankfully very low on conflict, but when his pups do fight or bicker, he gives them something his alpha has lovingly dubbed as the 'sibling speech'. It's a long speech about loving and supporting each other and being a team etc. etc.
Itachi isn't creative enough to invent the 'this is our get-along shirt' but if someone ever brought it up, he would at least consider it XD

I know it was just a filler, but sometimes it pains me so much to remember tiny kid Itachi trying to take his own life because he was so traumatised and disgusted by all the fighting in the world that he found no sense in living. He must have felt so hopeless and anguished understanding that fighting and killing for survival was all he could expect from the future.
And then Sasuke was born and brought light to his life. He reminded him that there was still good in the world. Sasuke soothed him, healed him, made him feel loved unconditionally (novels) and gave him a reason to keep going. Sasuke just loved him and expected nothing, with him he need nod be an Uchiha prodigy, he need not be a double spy, he need not carry the weight of the world in his shoulders. With him he could just be dear nii-san, just be himself.
Damn, he really must have loved this boy desperately. Must have felt he was the only reason to cling to this world. He hated violence over everything and still accepted all the violence he was forced to go through just to protect his little brother. Up to the very day of his death. Ok, I go now, I need to cry.
It was sad, yes, because he shouldn't have been having those thoughts at that age at all. But I don't think he was that hopeless to kill himself for real in this instance.
Tumblr media
He went to the cliff and jumped off, realizing midway his fall that he didn't want to die. And reached the conclusion:
Tumblr media
This little adventure made him realize how important life was and how important living was. No one wanted to die. Not those who died in the battlefields, not those who were killed for whatever reason. It's also complimented by how much fixated he was later on on keeping Sasuke alive.
Sasuke, to Itachi, was the whole world. The only thing that was pristine, pure, unadulterated, and untouched and undamaged by the violence he had lived in and experienced first hand. He wanted Sasuke to stay away from this ugly truth for as long as possible. And when he started to distance himself from his family after joining Anbu, it was also his way to keep Sasuke away from the ugly things he was going through and he was doing.
It's just sad because the only time you see him smile is when he's with Sasuke or when he's talking to him. Those were literally the only 'happy' moments for him. I always hc him waking up in the middle of the night after the massacre, hear footsteps of someone, thinking and hoping Sasuke was around, but it's just him in an inn and the footsteps were the sounds of some guests or the staff and the truth comes to him cruelly.
In the novel reading his thoughts about how he'd never be able to tell Sasuke how much he loved him and he should have spent more time with Sasuke were what broke me. And it took his death to finally be able to say it.

Sharing the sharingan
What if The Uchiha, The Hyuga, and Kakashi all die during Pain’s attack and end up at Sakumo’s limbo-campfire together?
Maybe they all die one by one with kakashi last because they’d be damned if they didn’t do everything physically possible to keep him safe. They just absolutely refuse to meet their sensei again with the knowledge they let his kid get killed while they were still kicking.
Them showing up one by one at the campfire and Sakumo smiling oh so sadly because while he wanted to see his family again, he never wanted it to be so soon. Not like this.
Sakumo getting immediately dog piled by all three of his kids once they’re all there. Just knocked to the floor and nuzzled into because yeah they’re adults but they all lost him too early and grew up too weird to give a shit about appearances now.
The Uchiha and The Hyuga immediately launching into a full blown bragging session about Kakashi’s accomplishments (both shinobi and otherwise. They personally think him beating Gai is far more impressive than his multi page spread in the Bingo book since they have them too but oh well).
Kakashi retaliating by talking about their extensive list of accomplishments (ie the weirdly specific but very useful self help books, the highly successful erotica novels, the universal fear of all Jonin, and the legion of devoted kids they managed to build )
Sakumo being very bemused because he really thought this reunion would be a lot more…apologetic? Philosophical? Because while he certainly apologized to them all and they accepted it, everything moved past it pretty quickly. According to them they’d “slap his guilt-ridden brain out of his ears if he tried to leave them again” but didn’t actually mind his decision on the mission? When he asked about it the Hyuga huffed because “come on sensei, really? You think we helped raise your pup thinking you made the wrong choice on that mission? You have us the wolf summons for a reason, didn’t you?”
Kakashi, now possessing the spirit of a little brother instead of an only child, absolutely delighting in watching them both get scruffed like unruly pups when the stories start flowing and some less than advisable actions come to light.
Microwaving this in my head because anncnsjskdjdnshush
I always planned on at least one of them dying in the Pain attack because of the angst but the thought of all three of them dying has me feeling emotions only known to shrimp.
The Hyuga dies first. Impaled by a chakra rod and exhausting his chakra to give his family, his pack, even the slightest chance. The last thing he hears is the Uchiha’s roar of fury as everything goes dark.
The Uchiha dies next, shoving Kakashi out of the way of a sure kill blow before throwing himself forward, determined to draw blood if it’s the last thing he does. He tells Kakashi to take Choji and run. He wakes up with a campfire in the distance and silence all around him.
Kakashi dies last, exhausted body unable to maintain the sharingan even a second longer. He’s no natural dojutsu user. Was never meant for the constant drain. He makes sure Choji gets out and prays it’s enough that even one do the kids makes it out of this shit show alive.
(He dies grateful that Naruto is gone. That Minato’s son would live even if Kakashi was no longer there to help raise him.)
The three of them find the campfire around the same time. The Hyuga laughs so hard he would have definitely pulled something if he was still alive when he realized who was there waiting for them.
The only real family other than each other and Kakashi that he and the Uchiha had ever known.
Sakumo looks sad (and a bit concerned that the Hyuga is going to figure out how to die a second time) but that’s as nothing compared to his shellshocked expression once after the Hyuga gathers himself he’s tackled by his three very much bigger pups all yapping over each other and laughing and crying. He wonders if this was what it would have been like in a perfect world where all of them lived. He wonders if they feel the missing weight of his final pup (the one that turned from them) just as keenly as he does.
As much as it hurts to see the light come for his pups he’s so fucking glad they get to live another day, get to break the cycle of the Hatakes (because they are all Hatakes no matter what clans two of them were born into) dying young.

Hey, glad to see you're back! I hope you are doing alright! This blog reavivated my investment in Obirin to completely new heights! The least I can do is help to reanimate it, I have many asks in storage, but I would rather share them one at a time.
so, starting with the highest one on my list, what would Rin, Madara and the uchiha clan in general think of Obito having long hair like he did during his time as Mizukage?
Hello! Thank you very much!
I'm so glad to hear that you're enjoying this blog, I think that it's important we give ObiRin the attention and love that this ship deserves :) Feel free to share any of your own thoughts and headcanons any day, and I'm more than happy to share mine!
To answer your question:
Starting with the Uchiha Clan: I would say they would be VERY shocked because he is literally the spitting image of Madara. Rumors would start to spread about Obito saying that he is Madara's direct reincarnation (if Madara is long dead). Obito's longer hair would give him a mysterious and reserved persona which does attract a certain sense of admiration because he emits a very similar charisma like their ancestor. If Madara is alive and is the one that raised Obito, let's say, then the clan members would fully respect him and flock towards Obito because of how connected he is to Madara to the point where they look just like each other. XD
I mean, they really do look similar.
Madara:
I think Madara would feel surprised and caught off guard, because it's literally like looking into a mirror XD He would lowkey be impressed with Obito, and then he'd say. "Well if you're going to look like me, you're going to have to dress and act like me as well." Madara would then change Obito's wardrobes into traditional Uchiha mantles and kimonos because there is no fucking way Obito would walk around in standard shinobi clothing with that hair. He'd go extra hard on Obito during their training sessions because if Obito is going to look like him, he better not embarrass him by being average.
Madara: "Come on, get the hell up! That is nothing but a scratch. Back in my days I used to fight with more injuries than that. I had to wrap my wounds by tearing my own clothing. You're not going to walk around looking like me and looking like a sad, kicked puppy at the same time. Now suck it up, pick up your sword and charge forward!"
Obito: "HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU THAT I'M NOT TRYING TO BE YOU, OLD MAN?!"
Obito was unable to register Madara's speed in that moment and ended up slamming into a tree.
Rin Nohara:
Rin definitely wouldn't be so used to this new hairstyle. It was long, spikey, and it definitely gave Obito a different type of vibe. That hair of his did not match the energetic personality that she always knew, so she was very much surprised at how calm, cool, and mellow Obito seemed. His outfit was different too (the kimono mentioned above), he looked more like a traveling warrior than a shinobi.
For some strange reason, she would feel more attracted to him; to the point where certain moments with a high amount of sexual tension would occur, such as her offering to brush his hair for him and to tie his hair up in a high ponytail. She would run her fingers through his long spikey locks, her body leaning close to his, her soft fingers brushing against the skin of his neck... and she would feel like she was taking care of someone who is a part of the royal family (which is fitting because Obito is a member of an elite clan, lol). After she ties his hair up, she would hand him the mirror and he would be satisfied, and then as Obito looks at her over his shoulder, they would lock eyes and the sexual tension just keeps getting thicker from there, lol.

I don't trust people who say they Sakura is useless like I'm sorry this girl had everything stacked against since the very beginning her being part of Team seven that's the last loyal Uchiha and the ninetail Jinchuuriki ( I hope I wrote that right) Kakashi the friend killer or Kakashi of the Sharingan. I won't lie to you but I rewatched the anime as much as Kakashi who loves everybody team seven he did have his priorities from his hokage. When Sasuke abandoned the hidden leaf and Naruto left with Jiraiya where was Kakashi, where was he wasn't there Sakura went to get help from Tsunade. Even not having any kekkei genksi or being a part of a clan Sakura still became the strongest energy and the best medical ninja in the world and still surpass Tsunade. I'm sorry I'm not hating a Kakashi just when I see people say that I just get mad because it's completely incorrect. By the way I love your Au and keep up the nice. work
Hmm You're not wrong... I love Sakura so obviously I don't like it when people call her useless, BUT I understand why they do because SHE IS.
As sad as it is Sakura is totally written as a failure and not only for the reasons you just said... I could probably go on about it, but I'm super sleepy rn and lots of people have talked about this already... But I will say that there's a terrible discrepancy between what is told to us by the story and characters and what is shown by Kishimoto. He sets up a lot of expectation for her and almost never goes through with it...
Anyways thanks for reading the au :)
Edit: Not meaning to say I think she is useless. She is by comparison not allowed to be in the spotlight as much as Naruto and Sasuke. And I actually hate that :(

≿━━━━༺❀༻━━━━≾
Sakura thought she was in love. "Thinking" being the keyword. Because really, what is love? Why does she feel her cheeks get warm every time she meets his onyx gaze? Why does she feel like she has butterflies in her stomach every time she hears his voice? She feels slightly nervous and yet this idiot claims she wasn't in love with him. It doesn't make sense! What does he mean by “you think you love me, but you don't, trust me. You just feel safe with me. It's not the same.” Is he dumb or what? Isn't she supposed to feel safe with the man she loves? And yet, right now, he was looking at her sympathetically, telling her again that she was making a mistake about the nature of her feelings. She snorted at that.
“What do you mean? I tell you I have feelings for you and you tell me I don't?”
“Yes, that's what I'm saying.”
“You idiot! You can't tell a girl how she feels!”
“Sakura...” he started gently, but was cut off by the woman, who puffed her cheeks and pouted :
“Don't Sakura me ! What the hell is wrong with you!? I'm pretty, I'm not stupid, I'm strong and we get along very well and besides we've known each other for a while now! So what's wrong?”
The man stared at her, slightly uncomfortable. God. How was he going to get out of this? He cleared his throat, quickly glancing over his shoulder, feeling a pair of eyes on his back.
“It's that... Okay, I'll tell you! Actually, I'm gay.”
“Weren't you the one kissing a girl like two weeks ago in front of Yakiniku Q?” She asked dryly.
“I'm pretty sure it was a doppelgänger.”
Sakura sighed. Not sure if she should feel offended or just sad about the obvious rejection.
“If you don't share my feelings, just say so, but don't make up lies to avoid hurting my feelings. And even if you are indeed gay, I'd like to think that we're close enough that you can tell me about it knowing that I would have supported you 200%.”
His shoulders slumped slightly. Ashamed of himself. She was right of course, but he knew better. That's why he was doing this.
“Sakura...”
“It's fine. Forget it, Shisui. I knew this was a bad idea.”
She turned to leave, determined to vent her frustration and disappointment on a training ground but was stopped by the Uchiha's hand holding her back for a moment.
“Hold on ! I'm sorry. It's just... Sakura, really, you don't love me. Not really. Not like that. I'm not the Uchiha you want.”
The Kunoichi felt the anger rising. She pulled away from his grip, glaring at him.
“If this is about Sasuke, I don't love him. I didn't love him before, or now, or ever. Goddammit! That guy is like my brother in the same way Naruto or Sai is! I saw him naked, Shisui. NAKED and I wasn't even affected. I mean, sure, Sasuke is a nice man to look at, but I also like looking at paintings but that doesn't mean I want to rub myself against them!”
Shisui flinched slightly. He would rather not be the target of the fifth Hokage's apprentice anger. He saw what her fists could do when she punch the ground. He raised his hands to soothe her, which seemed to irritate her further. Huh. Note to self; never tell a woman to calm down, even nonverbally.
“Actually, it wasn't him I was referring to but someone similar.”
“ I don't get it.”
“Sakura, aside from Sasuke and I who you talk to regularly in the Uchiha clan?”
The girl crossed her arms, leaning on one of her hips, one hand under her chin, trying to remember her past interactions.
“Um well, I've been in contact with quite a few of them. Whether it's on missions or to heal them or even just to chit-chat. Your clan is pretty big, Shi.”
“Really, Sakura? Who do I hang out with all the time?”
There was a short silence, then, “Oh.”
“Yeah, ‘oh.’ Seriously, Sakura. What’s Itachi going to think of this?”
Her cheeks turned a pretty pink and just at the mention of the man, she felt that strange feeling in her heart again.... Wait. So far she wasn't quite feeling it? In fact, now that she thought about it, she felt it mostly when she was with Shisui AND Itachi. What the hell does that mean?
Seeing the expression she was making, Shisui knew right away that she just understood something important. And that's exactly what he wanted.
“See what I mean now?”
“But ever since you saved me on that mission to the village hidden in the rain, I've...”
Shisui smiled fondly at her and gently placed his hand on her shoulder.
“Sakura, on that mission you had many injuries and your Chakra pathways were poisoned. It's not surprising that you have altered memories of it."
Confusion could be clearly seen on the kunoichi's face.
“What do you mean...?”
He shook his head.
“ Itachi was the one who brought you back to the village that day, not me.”
“What...? No, that's impossible. When I woke up in the hospital, you were the first one I saw.”
“That's because I had just kicked Tachi out of the room. He's been looking after you for days and frankly he needed to go home and rest.” he wrinkled his nose “and take a shower.”
“He stayed at my bedside?”
Shisui nodded and Sakura felt a lump form in her throat. She was more confused than ever. Sure, when she was younger she had had a huge crush on her teammate's older brother, but as she grew older she had chalked it up to a childish infatuation.
Flashbacks replayed in her mind and it was as if all the pieces of the puzzle were being put together before her eyes. The moments when Itachi had been present, the discreet smiles, the glances she sometimes felt, the encouragement of the Uchiha or his particular way of pushing her further. The way her palms would get sweaty and how her heart would stutter when she thought she saw him in the village. Her fear when he had returned from an ANBU mission badly injured. All those times when her heart raced for Shisui, Itachi was also there.
But how could she be so wrong? She looked up with emerald eyes at the older Uchiha. They had similarities, it’s true. And maybe subconsciously, Sakura had transferred what she was feeling onto Shisui because he seemed more open than his cousin, more expressive. Openly affectionate unlike Itachi. It was probably easier than admitting that she liked the heir of the Uchiha clan. A respected and feared man whose exploits spanned the five great nations. She was always a little intimidated by him. Just as she admired him. His presence, his charisma, his intelligence, his selflessness, his strength, his philosophy of life, his beauty too. His deep desire for peace and his unconditional love for his little brother or his devotion to the village. All this made Itachi an exceptional being.
It’s not surprising that she preferred not to have any illusions. Not that Shisui is any less impressive. He’s an exceptional Shinobi. Redoubtable even. She had seen him in action, knew what he was capable of, but Shisui is Shisui. She felt safe with him. With Itachi, it was different... She felt at home, strangely enough. Like a sense of belonging, like she was meant to be by his side. She knows she can trust Itachi with her life, and she does. The feeling was just different: stronger. Softer. She realized that now.
Sakura felt like she’d been slapped in the face. The tears tingle the corners of her eyes and at the sight Shisui became slightly alarmed.
“Sweetheart, no. Don't cry! I'm sorry! I didn't mean to hurt you. Oh fuck, Itachi is going to kill me. Sakura, hey, it's okay, I swear.”
She let out a shaky laugh, her eyes glistening with unshed tears. She shook her head, reassuring her friend.
“Sorry. I just feel stupid and a bit overwhelmed. I thought it was you who was causing me all these feelings, but every time I felt like this, it was always more intense if Itachi was with us."
“Well, I'm handsome ! I make a good catch. There's a lot to fall in love with, but if you really did, Itachi probably would have murdered me for good.”
“What's that supposed to mean?”
She frowned.
“He too has noticed the change in your behavior towards me, and sensing his killing intent even when I'm comfortably wrapped up under my blanket at 2am isn't the most thrilling feeling in the world.”
Sakura shook her head, bemused.
“Why would Itachi care about my feelings for you?”
Shisui gave her a flat look. As if to say “really now?” She frowned again, then huffed.
“Don't give me that look, it was a good question. Anyway, what do I do now? He's going to hate me! There's no way he'll give me a chance if he thinks I love you! HELL even I thought I was in love with you. Why didn't you ever say anything?!”
Shisui raised his hands.
“Oi! I tried! For months! I was steering you towards him, but nothing!”
“Is that why you were inviting Itachi over every time I tried to set up dates with you at the tea house to eat pastries?”
The older Uchiha's mischievous smile was his only response. Ugh. She remembered now that every time she had tried to ask him on a date he always included his cousin. Every.damn.time. It should have clicked! What an idiot.
“Ugh. I feel so stupid. I have to talk to him. I feel guilty.”
"You shouldn't. Sakura, it's okay. Sometimes you believe things and then you realize it's not that at all. Actually, I'm kind of relieved that you finally opened your eyes. I was starting to have trouble dealing with Itachi and was running out of hiding places.”
At this, the young woman laughed. She could imagine Shisui running from rooftop to rooftop to find the best place to escape from one of the ANBU's top captains. Suddenly, something clicked in her head and her eyes widened comically.
“Wait. Why...why are you talking as if Itachi feels the same way? I just realized that you were insinuating that the idea of me loving you was bothering him… but, it's not possible? Is it?”
Shisui smiled at her, his gaze softening. He placed his large palm on her head like a big brother would.
“Sweetheart, Itachi has loved you for a while now. I would even say that the two of you go way back. You just took different roads at times, but in the end, you ended up on the same path. It just took time and courage to admit reality."
She was speechless. Her fist rested against her heart, tightening the fabric of her shirt under her fingers. The thought of Itachi sharing her feelings made her heart beat a mile a minute.
“He scared off some kids who used to pick on me when I was younger. He activated his sharingan and those little bullies ran away as fast as they came.” She reminisced fondly.
Shisui chuckled, though you could tell he was proud to hear it.
“Oh. So you're the kid who gave him dangos the next week to thank him for scaring the ugly meanies away.”
She blushed and looked away. Refusing to confirm but not denying either.
“Whatever. I need to find him and talk to him.”
“That won't be necessary.”
Sakura arched an eyebrow and Shisui shrugged with a sly smile on his lips and his eyes shining with mischief. She didn't even have time to blink as the Uchiha pulled a kunai out of the holster on his leg and threw it behind him expertly before it was countered by another kunai. The sound of clashing weapons echoed before a figure emerged from the shadows.
Here stood Uchiha Itachi. Not the least bit bothered or embarrassed to have been caught spying. If anything, he seemed perfectly at ease. His onyx eyes stared straight at Sakura. She swallowed. Hard.
Well shit. She's in love. This time, she doesn't just think it. She knows it. And judging by the fiery look and emotions dancing behind his dark eyes, it was completely mutual.
Damn. Itachi fucking Uchiha loved her back. Ow. The night looked promising. Very promising, but they could go to dinner. Yeah, eat first, then she'll devour him, or he will... Eventually.
She felt like the world around them was disappearing as he walked towards her. And she knew at that very moment that this was what it meant to feel truly safe, to feel at home.

I may (or may not) write a part 2 to this in the future. Maybe something from Itachi's point of view, how he dealt with it, or some details I may have left out on purpose. We'll see. I'll think about it if I ever create a part 2.🖤
Anyway, thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed it! That and the edits I created. ★°*゚

Ok, can you tell me details of tour warring state shift? I ask this becauae Ibwanrnto shift for that. How is Madara and Izuna like? And The insides and family dynamics of the Uchihas? Maybe Hashirama and Mito If you interacted with them? And any other curiosity of that time period?
[thanks for this ask!]
alright, disclaimer first: my warring states DR might not exactly be the best thing to freely talk about, especially with what's currently happening on other platforms regarding shifting.
there's a lot of things regarding this era in general that would be looked down upon—and i won't be making excuses for not scripting them out, because i wanted the full experience of shifting to naruto. i just wanted to put that out there.
so, with that out of the way, let's talk about my DR itself.
[you can also find a few more detailed explanations in a google doc i keep; some of my other shenanigans are written there].
- - -
(1) MADARA AND IZUNA
i have to admit that, while I'm generally fine with Madara, i have some mixed thoughts on Izuna. overall, they're both not bad as family. i would go so far as to say that the elder is one of my closest friends, surpassed only by Hikaku. he's kind, and very indulgent with my whims. Madara likes to look out for everyone even when they don't want nor need it, is a bit obsessed with taking his duties seriously, and likely suffers from some form of burnout. thinking of him does make a bit sad, though. Tajima's still alive, and the man's been grilling him on finding a bride. problem is, HashiMada was a thing in my DR :'DDD and I'm currently the guinea pig having to deal with Madara's sulking fits. i am, frankly, honoured to be someone he trusted with that secret, but i am not equipped to deal with romance. as for Izuna? call me any day—i am down and ready to throw hands. I'm kidding (not really). where Madara's the prime elder brother material many people would probably want, Izuna's that babied brat of a cousin who spells trouble just because he can. he's not a bad person—i don't hate him. chances are, I'd actually team up with him for both stupid arguments and serious fights if it suited me. but it doesn't make him less of a nuisance to deal with. Izuna gets very sexist and classist from time to time, and...well, xenophobic (i don't even know if that's the right word, but you get what i mean). he's also very pushy and arrogant.
- - -
(2) MITO AND HASHIRAMA
to be honest, i have more experience dealing with Tobirama more than either Hashirama or Mito. hell, even my interactions with Tōka are more significant compared to the couple. for the most part, my contacts with the elder brother happen only because of my (pseudo?) acquaintanceship with the younger. Tobirama and I often use the same routes when travelling between smaller villages, especially on solo missions and in neutral spaces. here's the thing: while I've met and talked with Hashirama in passing, all of those times happened only during times I've scripted, but not shifted for. these are events where we're required to interact with each other. think of: the daimyō's clan rep summons, battlefield warfare, semi-joint missions, and the like. he's very open and friendly, and almost always willing to compromise—there's no doubt about that. but I'm also very wary of him. listen, he's a nice person, but I'll just be honest and say this: i don't trust him, not the slightest bit. my opinion on Mito isn't any more different. it's not that i dislike her, but neither do i actively like her. it's a neutral feeling, i suppose. I've seen her more than I do Hashirama [ok wait short break—by every god that exists, she's actually really fucking gorgeous]—but, like Hashirama, i don't know her enough to formulate any substantial thoughts about her. just that she's associated with the senju, and her clan is allied with them, so that makes her a threat by nature. i won't lie—the time I've spent with the uchiha has influenced me by a large margin. it's not going away anytime soon. and even then, a part of me already acknowledged that both aren't people i want to fully deal with. with tobirama, it's easier, because we have this mutual regard for one another. i interact with the man from time to time, and we're at least familiar. his family is a different story.
- - -
(3) OTHER CURIOSITIES
hmm...there's actually a lot of things I'm interested in, in my DR. i suppose by 'curiosities', you meant some kind of non-canon aspect of it? I'm trying to keep this entry short, so I'll just list two things here. I'll just add more details to the DR journal later on. well, there's this group called the Soldiers in White. i wouldn't go so far as to call them vigilantes, although they skid near that boundary. they're an organisation made of clan defectors; and, as far as I'm aware, their main objective is to promote the intermingling of the average clan members with 'common blood', and it's done in an act of science. they're a pretty radical group in my DR, so they're catching a lot of controversy. there's also the bi-annual clan rep summons, announced at the daimyō's convenience. there's no set date for it. it's basically this nationwide (and by that i mean only Fire Country) gathering for all clans, and it's done so His Royal Highness gets an update on what's been going on with his vassals. i don't attend the actual bureaucratic meetings, but there's an open festival available for three days straight. it's a fun event, and I've gone to it twice while shifting.
- - -
that's it, so far.
most of what I've written down about my Naruto DR is actually in the journal itself, so, if you're interested, just check that out. i listed some more intricate details there; like my schedule, or how I met my cousins for the first time (aka the canon characters), mission anecdotes, clan dynamics, and the like.
also, yeah, i definitely recommend shifting for the founders! i haven't seen much others going there, just the usual konoha 12. it'd be nice to chat about it with someone :DDD

It's nice to see nejihina fans. I honestly thought they all disappeared because of the nejit*n shippers. Cause I was actually harassed by them a long time ago when I pointed out their is no romance between the 2 and the hyuga clan is very strict and noble and like every other clan have incest. The clan breed inside with each other like brother x sister and cousin x cousin.
Hi!!! Thanks for bringing this topic to the table.
I am very very sad to encounter quite few NejiHina shippers when I know it was such a big shipdom!
First I want to say that I absolutely agree with you about the Hyuga Clan being a noble, strict Clan that practices the endogamy EVEN MORE than any other Clan, and let's be honest, I don't think a Clan that went to such lengths to protect their Kekkei genkai would allow marriages outside the clan. Let's just think about Hinata's case, thanks to that marriage now there's an Uzumaki out there with a (very questionable) Byakugan 🙃. As if Hyuga Clan would allow that in the canon context they were introduced.
That, and also the fact that every single member on the Hyuga Clan have white eyes and Byakugan, unlike for example Uchihas amongst whom Sharingan was no always present.
Noooow, back to the NejiHina shippers topic, I'll be very honest about this, I don't think it's NejiTen shippers fault, although I know some of them have harassed NejiHina shippers too. I think is more about neo-puritans on the internet that harras NejiHina shippers under the excuse that NejiHina is incest; well, it isn't, is endogamy. I respectfully invite them to investigate both terms and try to understand the difference, because it exists and it's quite big.
The problem is, I think, people forget in the first place that this is fiction, and it's fiction from an eastern country. This is important because I see most haters harassing NejiHina shippers are western people judging it from a western POV. You need to contextualise a piece of fiction under the values it is written in to be able to understand it. But they don't.
Now, endogamy was VERY prevalent on both East and West until not that long ago, and it still exists to some extent on both sides of the world; it's a matter of keeping the power and wealth inside the family, that's why royalty and upper class families have done it for centuries.
And that sounds like something Hyuga Clan being a noble clan, wealthy and possessor of the Byakugan would absolutely do, and I believe in all honesty they do.
So I've known about some NejiHina shippers that have abandoned the shipdom or "disguised themselves" because of this, neo-puritans harassing them so hard until they felt guilty for liking what they like (NejiHina) which absolutely sucks and makes me so angry, why can't people understand they have no right to dictate what others are allowed to like or ship? Gosh, the entitlement of these persons thinking they own the absolute truth and their word is law 😡.
Ok, I recovered.
To end this long long answer I just want to say that we NejiHina shippers very much still exist and stand by our ship, and we are still around creating content and talking about our OTP, although not as openly because of the harassers, sadly.

Character Roundups Round 7: Itachi Uchiha
Lord in heaven above it's time for a big one because I have a lot of fucking thoughts about Itachi.
Itachi as written and framed by Kishimoto: When Kishimoto decided Itachi's real backstory will always be one of the great mysteries of the world. On the one hand, I think Itachi retraumatizing Sasuke and putting him into a genjutsu after they meet for the first time since the massacre is over the line if Itachi was supposed to secretly care this whole time. On the other hand, Kishimoto has proven before he doesn't know where the line is with Naruto "I will break all of Sasuke's bones if he doesn't come back to Konoha with me" Uzumaki. And then there's the first full flashback where everything is, if I had to describe it in one word: suspicious. Like okay Itachi just wants to rise above his limits and the clan...or does he??? Is this really Itachi under pressure from his clan and Konoha and he ends up lashing out at the clan one time before he does the deed. You could read it either way. No hint there on when Kishimoto decided Itachi's ultimate backstory.
Speaking of confusion, how are we intended to view Itachi? Because Itachi himself says he messed up, but literally every other character talks about how great and smart he is. If we are supposed to think Itachi was a genius and did his best then it's kind of bad story-telling for reasons I will get into. If we are supposed to agree with Itachi that he fucked up then it's not very successful because so many characters say otherwise and it seems like a lot of the fandom also thinks otherwise.
There's a lot of confusion throughout Itachi's story because I'm pretty sure Kishimoto's intention changed during writing, but I'm pretty confident what we are meant to believe by the end. I'm sure people will disagree with me so I will explain after I say what I think we are ultimately pushed into thinking about Itachi. I think we are supposed to think of Itachi as someone noble and good who did his best and his only flaw was trying to do everything himself. Who Kishimoto thought would help Itachi in this situation I don't know. If that one line from Itachi about Sasuke being able to change the clan if he told him what was going is the answer then what the fuck Kishimoto how is a seven year old going to help here. But anyway I don't think Kishimoto wants us to think Itachi killing his clan was wrong and I don't think he wants us to think Konoha was wrong for pushing him into it. I also think no matter how hard it was on him Itachi still thought ultimately it was the Uchiha who should have changed to stop the massacre from happening rather than the other way around.
I think this because as I always have, and as I keep shouting to everyone to no avail, this is because Kishimoto clearly does not give a shit what happened to the Uchiha clan. The one person who cared, Sasuke, just stops caring after hearing Hashirama recount Romeo & Juliet and then he never talks about it again and it's just vaguely implied that Sasuke agrees with Itachi so he's over the whole dead parents and clan thing and now wants to change the world or something. If we were supposed to view Itachi as someone other than noble for what he did then there would be SOMETHING said about how it was wrong that the Uchiha clan is all dead but that doesn't happen. I know other people have their ideas about Itachi DID think what he did was wrong or he DID resent Konoha for making him kill his clan because of xyz. Of course anyone's headcanons are fine, but I'm just saying no one can say that as fact because if it was then at the very least there should be a hint somewhere in the narrative that we as readers should be sad that Itachi won't admit Konoha was wrong. Otherwise what's the point? Saying "Itachi did resent Konoha but he couldn't say it because he was under the protect Konoha genjutsu" only effects how the reader might feel about Itachi and serves nothing for the story since clearly the narrative doesn't care. Once again, it's fine to read it that way but you can't demand that every reader do the same because there's nothing to indicate that is how it should be read.
How it should have gone: I know about half or maybe even more of all Sasuke fans hate Itachi but let me be real. I think Itachi is a great character. I have some nitpicks but really overall the only thing I would change is I would take the fucking framing of Itachi and move it to the left. Because the problem with Itachi isn't the character, it's that Kishimoto missed the point.
The POINT of Itachi's character should have been: Itachi is a fuck up. Itachi spent his life getting called a genius, but whether it was something in his control or not nothing he did worked out for him. And it's really funny to me that Kishimoto flew right over that when he writes like he hates geniuses. There's Itachi sitting there with the whole problem with the idea of "a genius" right in front of him and Kishimoto doesn't take it. The problem being that being a genius at ninja-ing means being a genius at espionage and violence and strategy and not at a lot of other useful things like emotional intelligence or historical context.
I'm not going to complain that Itachi it overall shitty to Sasuke nor will I pretend he isn't. When I'm reading fiction I don't need characters to be good people or make good choices, I need them to make sense as a character. Itachi for me makes sense. You can deeply love someone, but be too traumatized and misguided to be any good at it or even know how to show love to another person. What I love about Itachi is that he was really shit at loving his brother which led to Sasuke going down the exact path Itachi desperately tried to get him not to go down. And it's through that failure that Itachi finally was able to give Sasuke the one thing he should have been giving him this entire time and what no one else will: unconditional love. I got no problems with that. The issue for me is that Konoha is never framed as wrong. If Itachi won't/can't admit it himself I think it would be a great idea to not frame Sasuke as being bad for saying what Konoha did was wrong. It would be a good way to develop Sasuke away from his hero-worship of Itachi. I don't have a problem that Sasuke is like that because it makes sense for his character, but I think it would be an interesting way to develop Sasuke's character. Sasuke could see that Itachi can't admit that what Konoha made him do was wrong and unnecessary and could be sad for Itachi as well as see that as a fault of Itachi's. Sasuke could come to see his brother as he was, a flawed man who made a lot of mistakes and didn't know everything (just like the narrative should see him). Which by the way I'm not necessarily saying Itachi is too stupid to realize Konoha was wrong, more like what if Itachi refuses to see that because it would be mentally and emotionally too devastating to confront the fact that he was completely in the wrong for killing his clan. I don't even think Itachi had a choice at that point since Danzo was threatening to come at Sasuke like he was a drunk Canadian and Sasuke was a baby seal, but I think psychologically Itachi's overwhelming guilt would override in his mind the fact that he had very limited options.
So yeah, Itachi. Very complicated character, but overall not much I would change that isn't framing. Itachi was always wrong and most decisions he had to make were out of his control but the decisions he did make were also bad.

What do you think Sasuke would major in? I see philosophy, maybe politics ? I feel like he'd grow up to be very opinionated about politics and stuff, like if we keep the kinda canon pipeline hole would be from a minority ethnic groupe , also I feel like he'd be into climate activism or maybe something to do with animal research, like on reptilian species at risk of extinction... Maybe even literature? He strikes me as a very well read individual who actually enjoys art and literature in general especially historical and cultural heritage pieces ... Overall I really never understood why so many people put him in the engineering or economy party ? Other than the famous " to work fory parents firm even this I am not passionate about this " trope ..
okay im gonna start being honest that i dont have this as well thought as you and my tags were just more jokingly because business major sasuke is so overused when nothing about sasuke gives the impression he would major in that but yeah.
but in general i dont judge much the major they give him because the problem with sasuke is that its such a character that its soooo difficult to take away from canon and put into a random modern universe setting to me. like sasuke's whole personality is based on te events that happened to him but if we take sasuke out of the narutoverse and into a modern au when the massacre of his people doesnt happen or hes isnt raised in a system where hes meant to be used as a tool who would he be?? like sasuke its even more difficult than naruto who we see having hobbies like growing plants at his place or just loving eating ramen etc. most of sasuke's actions in canon are directed to his arc because thanks to itachi's influence sasuke made killing his brother his life goal but also his whole focus (which is really sad to think of). even in the databooks is listed that sasuke eats healthy and his favorite things are stuff like training, this all obviously is because his mind is mostly focused in how to get stronger all the time. thats why my favorite type of fics are (or were since i dont read much these days) the ones where they explore sasuke in his travels post war where he has an opportunity to breath and find things he likes to do. i feel like naruto would teach him about gardening especially if he gets to grow tomatoes and all.
but again in a modern au its just difficult to see sasuke i think something with animals would be nice and he does seem fond of animals in canon. literature too, since sasuke is known to be smart i think he would enjoy it. i dont know about politics, i can see him having very strong opinions but not really majoring in it (unless we translate the uchiha massacre to the modern au too then yeah hes plotting the entire goverment and country's fall who knows)
i also dont like that trope of sasuke doing a major hes not interested because pressure from his parents. i would probably like it more if they added the fact that its not just sasuke doing things to get praise from his parents (although in canon its just his dad he wants the praise from since w mikoto this isnt shown) but also because of him feeling less because itachi. like i feel ppl forget that yeah sasuke loves his brother endlessly but even before the massacre he had his issues because itachi seemed to be great at everything which imo gives their dynamic more naunce
anyways sorry i got carried away from the actual question and that i couldnt give u an answer im not usually into modern aus especially when it comes to naruto because i feel like a lot of meaning in the dynamics and characterization gets lost

Maoam do you have any tips on how to not get so unbelievably sad over sasunaru not having anything anymore and sassku thriving because I know it’s just a manga, it’s just something fictional, but they’re the only couple I’ve ever shipped and I know I sound pathetic right now but I’m getting heartbroken over everything that’s been coming out lately , idk if I should just remove them and the fandom from my brain completely but genuinely no fictional characters and couple have been so important to me and I feel so heartbroken. Also sorry for venting in your ask box ❤️‍🩹
Hi ❤️ You don't have to feel sorry.
I get how you feel. But when you say SS is thriving I assume you mean Hetsuden manga? Because I'll show you what SS are fangirling over:
Tumblr media
That is Sakura, undercover, exposing the Uchiha crest with no worries. Lol. So it's either:
The artist is dumb and didn't realize how this makes Sakura look like an idiot.
The artist doesn't like Sakura and would intentionally make Sakura look dumb and so obsessed with Sasuke she'd make the crest visible.
One would think if someone likes Sakura, they'd reject the manga that makes her look dumb and very childish/cringe (I will spare you from more images but believe me, Sakura acts like a little girl who has a crush and does stupid things like play peek-a-boo with an injured Sasuke who is just "....").
It is not canon of course, even Esaka acknowledges it, but this is how low SS have to sink in order to find something to fan over since Kishimoto refused to give them anything meaningful. Sasuke doesn't even smile in Hetsuden manga while he smiled and laughed with Naruto when he was bleeding to death after their battle. How can SS possibly compete with that?
I also think many normies don't take SS seriously. There are many videos with millions of views where people make fun of Sakura (and often Hinata as well). Try this guy's videos for example, they are funny [link] , [link] , [link].
I will write more about Naruto/Sasuke so just stay tuned and keep your chin up ❤️ And don't look up Boruto related stuff. And it's okay to vent in my inbox in the future too, I'm more than happy to help!

The Novels That Made It Into the Boruto Anime
Tumblr media
The first wave of Naruto novels made into the last episodes of Naruto Shippuden; the same happened with the new wave of novels that came out towards the end of the 2010s. Many people complain that the Boruto anime is full of fillers, making it a reason why they say the anime is weak. I differ. The Boruto manga is action pack from the very beginning; but it doesn't give the reader a moment to appreaciate the accomplishments of the Great Five Kage at the end of the 4th Great Ninja War. The Boruto anime opens the lense to show us what the ninja life is like in times of peace, but these arcs are no fillers since most of them are based on manga and novels related to Naruto. In a previous post, I wrote about the Sasuke's Story: The Uchiha and the Heavenly Stardust and how it was integrated into the anime; today, I want to write about the other five books that came out around the same time as the previous one.
Three out of the six novels that came out are about Naruto's illness:
1. Kakashi's Story: the Sixth Hokage and the Fallen Prince
2. Sasuke's Story: The Uchiha and the Heavenly Stardust
3. Naruto's Story: Uzumaki Naruto and the Spiral Destiny
These three can be read interconnected, starting with the epilogue and first chapter of the Naturo one, then reading Kakashi's book, then Sasuke's, and then ending with the rest of Naruto's novel. In the anime arc, the story focuses on Sasuke's and Sakura's mission, mentioning Kakashi's part in the effort and then explaining that Naruto will be okay. I like what they did in the anime, since putting all three novels into the arc would have been too much, still I enjoyed reading all three books, specially becasue I got to see my favorite characters interact and work together as a team. It's kind of sad, though, how Naruto decides not to confide on Hinata about his illness because he doesn't want to worry her and their children, still she knows something is going on and she tells Naruto and we definitely see it in what she says to Sasuke. I love how Naruto and the others work with Orochimaru even when they don't really trust him and how Yamato - while keeping watch - has become part of the lives of those living with Orochimaru, even Mitsuki when he goes to visit his parent. . .
The other three novels take place before Naruto's illness, and Boruto and his friends have a bit more exposure. In Sasuke's Story: Star Pupil, we see Sasuke training Team 7 while Konohamaru is in the hospital after a mission. Here, we can see Boruto's conflict with the use of science in the ninja world. Boruto doesn't want to be connected to anything related to science since what happened at the chunn exams but, here Sasuke tells him the importance of knowing physics and other science facts. Plus, we also get to see father and daughter work together in a mission, while Sasuke reflects about his role as sensei and team work. This story is not part of the anime, and I think they made the right decision. I enjoyed reading the novel, but I don't think that it was necessary in the anime.
Shikamaru's Story: Mourning Clouds is a very interesting novel, and we see a Shikamaru that is willing to do anything to keep peace; and we also get to see him and Sasuke actually have a one-on-one conversation that makes them realize that they want the same things. But I also like this novel because we get to see the dynamics in the Nara household: Shikamaru's relationship with Temari and Shikadai. This story is partly incorporated into the anime, although the episodes in the anime focus more on Boruto's involvement, and we don't see the political situation behind the feudal leader's visit, it's there and that's when we start to learn more about the mark Boruto has in his hand.
Naruto's Story: Family Day is completely incorporated into the anime in a couple of fun and sweet episodes where we see Naruto, Sasuke, Shikamaru, Choji, and Sai spend time with their children. I like the novel's story about Hinata spending the day with her father and her sister. And I like the anime adapatation's Naruto-Boruto moment. This novel and its adaptation give us a look into the family dynamics, our favorite characters' relationship with their children.
There are other manga that are incorporated into the Boruto anime that are wonderful:
1. Naruto: Konoha's Story - the Steam Ninja Scrols: The Manga - which focuses on Mirai's journey to finding herself while traveling with Gay and Kakashi.
2. Naruto: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring, where Sarada faces her parents and questions their relationship.
These novels and manga are great, and the incorporation of most of these stories into the Boruto anime gives depth to the story, intensifing our sadness and desperation when we see Boruto face Kawake and the distruction of the village. They also give space for character development, we get to see the young generation mature and transform, from carefree children to teens that have to mature in order to deal with what is coming.
The five novels that I read this month were full of action, intrigue, fun, and unforgetable interactions that strength characters' relationships with each other.

your thoughts on obitoxfem kks also give me some headconan
I love them just as much as I love Madara x Fem!Hashirama (vice versa) and Gaara x Fem!Naruto!
I think genderbender pairs are underrated, and they have an amazing charm to them.
Anyways, let's get to the headcanons, which is in the canon au (some angst ahead):
It's a complete love/hate relationship. Know-it-all girl vs Boy who wants to beat the know-it-all in everything.
Fem!Kakashi sort of developed a small crush on Obito when they were younger, but she was the type that was avoidant, and was too afraid of being vulnerable. She had a habit of denying her feelings and burying them inside.
While Obito tends to always challenge her or rub at her face some of his achievements, he finds himself reaching out to fem!Kakashi whenever he sees her brooding or sitting alone. He tends to just hang around and talk to her about anything, just to wipe off the sad or grim expression she often wears.
Fem!Kakashi finds herself feeling irritated when she sees Obito giving his attention to Rin, and this would be the first time she admits that she actually really likes the attention he gives her, even if he's being annoying or consistently challenging her.
When Obito hurts himself, fem!Kakashi finds herself grumpily reaching over to have a look at his injuries, and takes the gauze or bandage out of Rin's hand to wrap him up, scolding him for being so careless.
The more time she spent around the stubborn Uchiha, the more Kakashi has grown used to his presence, so when he's not around, she would find an excuse to seek him out, whether it's a challenge or to reprimand him, or just to follow him around whenever he's helping an elderly.
The day that Obito got crushed by the boulder, was the day Kakashi cried so hard and told him that there was no team without him. His words about her being an amazing Jounin always rings in her head. His "death" truly devastated her, and she ends up regretting not letting him know of her feelings for him.
You can imagine the shock she feels when Obito is revealed to be the masked man during the war - but that's where her feelings and emotions start to go haywire. During their battle in the Kamui dimension, she wavers in the middle of the fight, knowing that she is unable to kill him no matter what - and Obito takes advantage of that by pulling her closer to him and holding her tightly, showing that he's aware of her feelings for him, and he tells her that "they can have it all" and that they can be together in their own world.
When Obito gets defeated, Kakashi attempts to kill him once more, but when Minato stops her, Kakashi lets out her grief and tears, beating her fists at his chest and scolding him for his ways, telling him that she would've been by his side and he would never have to be alone, and she would be the one to heal the hole in his heart if he let her. Obito looks at her with a pained expression, fully realizing Kakashi's love for him and imagining what it would've been like.
Warning: NSFW
In an AU where they live together and Obito's the Hokage while fem!Kakashi is his wife/lover, they'd have the kinkiest sexual relationship because Kakashi loves to try out the positions and sexual acts that she tends to pick up from Icha Icha Paradise.
She's very protective of Obito and Obito is the most supporting man for her, who loves to show her off and show off that he's married to Konoha's top Jounin protégé.
Fem!Kakashi tends to annoy Obito for attention, because she just loves his reaction.
Pillow talk at night is their favorite.
They tend to argue about whether fem!Kakashi should keep her dogs inside the house or leave them in their summoning dimension.
The Kamui dimension is technically their "sex dungeon" LMAO.
Their favorite quality time is training together and walking fem!Kakashi's dogs. :3
That's all for now!
