.
probably controversial to admit as a "vegan" (i dont like labels but how else do you describe someone who hasnt eaten meat eggs and dairy for 3 yrs?) but there are times when I do consider switching back to omni then I think about it very deeply and feel disgusted and change my mind. Osdd having me feel divided on many things in life, as usual :]
Main reason is I miss the dishes I grew up with but I am slowly veganizing them I just kinda am a shit cook lol. I have made molé w tempeh and its good. I have made vegan pozolé verde. my mom made these amazing tamales de verduras and they really hit the spot and i need to ask her how she made those. I saw a bit of the process. The veggie mix looks easy but i never made my own masa b4 .....
veganizing chilli rellenos may not be possible but they are an absolute comfort dish and I want to try one day. I never had made vegan cheese at home but its something i wanna experiment with for fun one day.. a vegan crumbling cheese, i truly do wonder if a similar texture is possible without the caesin of dairy cheese lulz
Another comforr dish is mexican sourxream and queso cotija on rice.... yet another thing im not sure i can ever recreate but thats ok bc food is just food in the end. I just been nostalgic
Im a foodie........ -_-

Easy Vegan Meals
As we all know we are impacted by epidemic due to which we are away from your daily activity due to which we are losing our shape, size, and weight. Even the people who all are most in gyming activity keep them fit, even they are not allowed to go out for gyming but if you are still doing basic gym which you can do at your home then you also need to follow your diet to keep your fat low.
I am sure you might have the option of how to do that but today I will share your easy vegan meals plan which you can cook on your own and the Ingredients are easily available in your house to cook.
Vegan & Gluten-Free Tacos: This easy plant-based meals diet you can cook with so many items but I am going to use Sweet potato & black bean tacos. This will take a total of 35 minutes to complete in which 5 minutes for preparation and 30 minutes for cooking. The pleasantness of the cooked potatoes adjusts the trace of zestiness from the dark beans. This scrumptious blend makes tacos that are brimming with flavor! You can tweak these tacos by mixing it up of garnishes.
Fixings
How to cook this Easy Vegan Meals:
For the Roasted Potatoes:
2 lb yam, stripped and cut into 1/2″ solid shapes (around 2 enormous or 3-4 little potatoes)
2 Tbsp olive oil
1/2 tsp salt
For the Black Beans:
2 jars dark beans (or 3 cups natively constructed) flushed and depleted
1 Tbsp olive oil
2 garlic cloves minced
1 Tbsp Homemade Taco Seasoning (or use locally acquired)
1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
1/2 cup water
1/2 Tbsp lime juice
salt and pepper to taste (I utilized ¼ tsp of each)
Other:
corn tortillas
Discretionary Toppings:
Real Guacamole
Cilantro
Hot sauce or salsa (attempt our Taco Shop Red or Green Hot Sauce)
destroyed cabbage or lettuce
Veggie lover Shredded Cheese
If not Vegan, you can likewise attempt:
Destroyed Cheese any assortment
Cotija cheddar disintegrated
Queso fresco disintegrated
Coat the yam lumps with 2 Tbsp oil, and ½ tsp of salt, at that point spread them out on a Large Sheet Pan fixed with material paper.
Prepare at 425ºF for around 30-35 minutes, blending them part of the way through.
In the interim, heat olive oil in an enormous sauce dish over medium-high warmth.
Include the garlic and taco flavors and cook, mixing regularly, until fragrant (around 1 moment).
Blend operating at a profit bean, cayenne pepper, and water. At that point bring to a stew, decrease warmth to medium, and cook secured for 10 minutes.
Expel spread, squash half of the beans with a potato masher, mix and cook an extra 3 minutes to dry out a portion of the dampness.
Blend in the lime squeeze and salt and pepper, expel from the warmth and let cool somewhat before serving.
To assemble tacos: On a warmed corn tortilla, layer around 2 tablespoons of dark beans, around 1/4 cup of yam lumps, and fixings of your decision.

Moe’s Southwest Grill Unveils “The Oasis,” a New Prototype and Test Restaurant in Atlanta, GA
Southwest Region of U.S. inspired fast casual brand’s design and culinary innovation
Atlanta, GA  (RestaurantNews.com)  Moe’s Southwest Grill®, a fast casual restaurant brand will open its new test kitchen and prototype, The Oasis, near the brand’s headquarters in Atlanta, GA on November 16. At this new location, local fans can experience the updated design and menu items currently in testing. New menu items will begin to rollout system-wide starting next year.
“Over the past 18-months we’ve taken a comprehensive look at our brand and intently listened to our fans in the process. As a result, we have updated the restaurant design and expanded the menu – both of which deliver on the brand’s new positioning, ‘Untamed Southwest,'” said Bruce Schroder, President, Moe’s Southwest Grill. By fully activating our middle name and putting our own distinctive spin on the meaning of Southwest, our goal is to maintain cultural relevance and truly set ourselves apart in the fast casual restaurant industry.”
We’re not about to change what makes Moe’s special so we’ll be amplifying our fan favorites including the “Welcome to Moe’s!” greeting, our free chips and salsa and our famous queso.  The Untamed Southwest positioning will continue to highlight our free-spirited attitude and our family-friendly environment; plus, we will continue to serve the menu staples that made us famous like burritos, bowls, stacks and quesadillas.
With new dietary habits like keto, paleo and vegan becoming more prevalent combined with the on-demand economy where consumers have a proliferation of choice and scarcity of time, Moe’s wanted to create a fast casual dining experience that suits the individual needs of the entire family and besties alike. Moe’s is now testing an elevated menu to include new proteins, entree platforms, and shareables.
New menu highlights:
Avocado Caesar Salad: Yucatan Shrimp, Shredded Romaine Lettuce, Sliced Hass Avocado®, Cilantro, Cotija Cheese, Crispy Tortillas, Avocado Caesar Dressing.
Avocado Caesar Salad
Quinoa Power Bowl: Mojo Chicken, Quinoa andf Brown Rice Mix, Frijoles, Shredded Romaine Lettuce, Corn Pico, Sliced Hass Avocado®, Cilantro, Queso Fresco, Salsa Verde.
Quinoa Power Bowl
Street Taco: Crunchy Avocado, Soft Blue Corn Tortilla, Diced Onion, Queso Fresco, Cilantro, Lime, Chipotle Ranch.
Street Taco
Torta: Applewood Smoked Brisket, Bolillo Bread, Frijoles, Chihuahua Cheese, Mayo, Sliced Tomato, Shredded Romaine Lettuce, Cilantro, Ancho BBQ Sauce.
Torta
Shareables: Street Corn, Crunchy Avocado, Charro Beans, Mac ‘N Queso and Bunuelos.
Street Corn
Charro Beans
Mac ‘N Queso
Bunuelos
“When you think of the Southwest region in the U.S., you generally think of the four corners – Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado and Utah. We started there and then pulled in elements from other areas in California and Texas – these locations combined provided the culinary inspiration for the bold menu items that we are testing,” said Ciaran Duffy, Executive Chef, Moe’s Southwest Grill. “Spices and ingredients like adobo, poblano peppers and hatch chiles are featured throughout the menu at The Oasis in addition to classic Moe’s concoctions served with our delicious queso and variety of salsas on the Salsa Bar.”
Beyond culinary innovation, The Oasis will feature new design features based on in-depth research and interviews with new and loyal guests. Expanding on the classic Moe’s design pallet, the brand has added colors and textures reflective of the diverse culture and breathtaking landscape of the Southwest. The Window to the Southwest, a brand hallmark, is a video played in the restaurant; it is an authentic way to give our fans an inside peek into what the Southwest means to us at Moe’s and how it encourages our attitude, food and culture.
In addition, the operational enhancements developed for the prototype design ensure convenient service from engaged team members. Examples include a second production line and specific pick-up station for guests who use delivery and online ordering. Moe’s remains a go-to spot for busy families and large groups; therefore, the prototype design includes a variety of seating options including booths, banquet and communal tables.
The Oasis is located at 1450 Ernest Barrett Parkway in Kennesaw, GA and will begin serving guests November 16, 2018.
Fans can also try the new menu items in testing at Moe’s Sandy Springs, GA at 6090 Roswell Road Sandy Springs, GA and, beginning in early 2019, at Moe’s Braselton, GA; Moe’s Phenix City, AL; and Moe’s Moline, IL.

Lineup Blends Traditional Mexican Flavors with the Creative Culinary Influence that is Los Angeles
Costa Mesa, CA  (RestaurantNews.com)  El Pollo Loco, Inc. (“El Pollo Loco” or “Company”) (Nasdaq: LOCO), the nation’s leading fire-grilled chicken restaurant chain, today announced a new line of L.A. Mex Burritos inspired by the diversity and bold flavors of the company’s hometown of Los Angeles.
Born out of its Mexican heritage and SoCal roots, El Pollo Loco’s unique L.A. Mex cuisine offers better-for-you choices and tradition-inspired temptations. It’s a menu that can meet any dietary need, from keto to vegan to downright delicious.
To honor its L.A. Mex identity, El Pollo Loco created the new, limited-time L.A. Mex Burritos for a fresh take on tradition—blending its signature Mexican flavors with a California twist. The full lineup includes:
California Queso Burrito: A new elevated take on a beloved California classic. The California Queso Burrito has tender pieces of our famous fire-grilled chicken, signature Tapatio fries, fresh handmade guacamole, pinto beans, queso blanco and house-made pico de gallo.
Chicken Tinga Burrito: A traditional Mexican dish making its way into the mainstream. The Chicken Tinga Burrito has savory, lightly smoky chicken tinga, seasoned rice, pinto beans, fresh sliced avocado, and is topped with queso fresco and house-made pico de gallo.
World’s First Keto Burrito: This better-for-you and Keto Certified burrito comes in at 10g net carbs but is not short on flavor. It comes with fire-grilled chicken, fresh sliced avocado, organic spinach, shredded red cabbage, and is topped with creamy cilantro, house-made pico de gallo and crumbled cotija cheese—all wrapped in a specialty high-fiber, low-carb tortilla.
Chickenless Pollo Burrito: A protein alternative for the modern-day burrito lover. The Chickenless Pollo Burrito comes with shreds of plant-based protein simmered in adobo sauce, shredded lettuce, seasoned black beans, queso fresco, fresh sliced avocado, and creamy cilantro. It doesn’t stop there – this burrito is also available vegan, as certified by the American Vegetarian Association.
“Our food is a reflection of who we are, where we’re from and where we live,” said Bernard Acoca, President & Chief Executive Officer at El Pollo Loco. “With L.A. Mex at our core, our new burrito lineup brings customers a fresh, innovative approach to the authentic food they love.”
To celebrate the launch, El Pollo Loco is offering a Buy 4, Get 1 L.A. Mex Burrito Free for Loco Rewards customers – available now through October 27th via online and in-store. Loco Rewards customers will also receive double points on all L.A. Mex Burritos the month of September.
