Wukong was angry under that mountain, frustrated, and honestly probably depressed and scared. Unable to move, to leave to do anything.

His reaction to Macaque giving him a peach is understandable.

Macaque got mad too, understandable seeing as he's being yelled at.

Here's where Macaque was wrong tho, he should've come back. he should have cooled off, come back, apologized for his words and let swk rant and rave because in canon, from what we've seen, swk got the short end of the stick and deserved to be upset and angry. he was betrayed, and while Macaque was too by azure he's not the one who ended up stuck under a mountain.

Swk should have listened to Macaques advice about attacking the Jade emporer, he did end up losing sight of why he wanted power.

Macaque should have come back after cooling off, talked it out.

that's where they started to fall out.

I genuinly think tho that Macaque reaproached swk during the journey and they were okay for a while but something happened.

like maybe he wanted swk to come back to the mountain, saw the circlet and his "friendship" with the pilgrims as some sick leash and brainwashing.

could be why he attacked (if he did)

i also dont think swk killed him, did they fight? probably but i dont believe swk made the final blow.
