Oh boy let me tell you about a little thing I call Prism

Prism, currently projected to be 5 books, is a series I've had in the works for years now in various forms. It follows the relationship between Patrisia Suanders, a training bard, and Vlad of the Golden Crown, an Unseelie prince who upon meeting her immediately tried to eat her. After a rescue from an unexpected friend, Patrisia works to overcome her trauma in every way possible, but for some reason Vlad won't just leave her alone. Apparently he likes her company or something. Eventually she realizes that after the first time he hasn't tried to eat her or anything, but by now she's enlisted the help of a stellar police officer and almost punched one of the Crown Princes of the Iron and Silver in the face on at least one occasion, so of course shenanigans ensue. In her relationship with Vlad (I cannot stress enough this is going to be a PURELY PLATONIC RELATIONSHIP and that Pat actually ends up with the prince she nearly decked) she gets tied up in politics she'd never imagined would apply to her, and ultimately her experiences let her flourish in ways that she'd never imagined before Vlad tried to eat her.

Hopefully this design isn't too fancy since I wanted to retain an organic sort of look for King Vladislav's outfit beneath the long crimson cloak he usually wears, sort of like stained leather or tree bark. Compared to his human glamour of a blind hermit I'd say he looks a lot more imposing wouldn't you agree...? Also, I'll resist the urge to draw him again for a while since I have other projects to finish but I seriously I cannot wait until I get the chance to begin working on writing a full fanfic for my Unseelie AU.

So, funny story. Looks like I went ahead and redesigned King Vladislav’s human glamour. The old one I had taken down for personal reasons had more of a modern look to his outfit so I backtracked to make it medieval again instead. I could have added some extra details but Vlad actually went through the trouble of downplaying his status to avoid suspicion from Danny and his friends...

This version of King Vladislav has taken on the form of a blind hermit living deep in the forest, unbothered by the Fae who reside there too who have no interest in a lonely old man like him. Too bad Danny’s gradually gaining the ability to see Fae aura’s and traces of their magic.

Original: I messed up his face shape in human form a bit last time so I’m glad I reworked it.

Here’s my first real post of the new year, a character sheet for my Fae version of Dani/Ellie! She turned out super cute and I look forward to adding her into my Unseelie Vlad AU fanfic in the future once I’m finished with a few other story projects!

Ghost Core/Element: Wind/Air (Not A Ghost In This AU)

Likes: Playing hide and seek, picking and eating berries, learning about humans, dancing, and flying.

Dislikes: Cruelty, lies, iron, being mistrusted, being bossed around, and feeling conflicted about betraying her King/Father and saving Danny.

Personality: Playful, curious, strong sense of justice, love, innocent, and mischievous.

Story: Just like the original Dani in the show, she was created by my Unseelie Vlad for the express purpose of luring Danny into a trap but after getting to know him and his struggles Dani make the difficult decision to betray her King. But before that Dani is shown how to glamour herself to look like a village girl in order to convince Danny and his friends that the Fae are trying to kidnap her too for similar reasons because of her appearance.

As she travels with them through the forest though Dani comes to realize the truth about what King Vladislav really wants, a Fae prince rather than another daughter which as you can imagine is pretty heartbreaking since that means Dani was only created as an expendable member of his 'family' in the Unseelie Court. That leads her to eventually reveal the truth about her Fae heritage and make peace with the fact that she'll be hunted for all eternity for not obeying Vlad's orders to bring Danny to him.

Powers: Transformation, flight, Fae magic, wind affinity, glamour ability, sleep induction, clouding thoughts, misdirection, and lesser Fae summoning (aka fairy lights and such to send messages with)

Coming up with a new design for Pariah Dark is taking longer than expected so in the meantime I went ahead and came up with a Fae form for Dani/Ellie. At first I planned to keep similar colors to the original but then remembered she’s supposed to be one of the daughters of the ruler of the Unseelie Court that presides over the autumn and winter seasons. Making her an ice Fae would have been interesting of course, however, I kinda wanted to change things up a bit to give her a new theme based on the gentle flutter of autumn leaves as they fall.

As far as her actual powers, Dani/Ellie is a fast flier and can seamlessly change between a physical form and becoming one with the wind to kick up leaves in order to misdirect people. Her musical laughter echoes through the trees as she sends a gust towards them to ruffle the cloaks of wary travelers, distracting them so they lose their way. She tends to actually help lost children though find their way home unless they’ve been abandoned or mistreated by their mortal families.

Apart from that though, to Dani/Ellie it’s all just a game at first until she meets Danny who is stressed beyond belief by all the attempts King Vladislav has made to capture him. At first she genuinely thinks he’d be much happier as a Fae until she finds out that the reason Danny’s feeling this way is BECAUSE of the Fae even though he never did anything to deserve being hunted by them. He was just at the wrong place at the wrong time which led to Vladislav’s obsession with making him a prince in his court.

Now that I have a final version of Dani/Ellie I thought it’d be nice to imagine her in my Unseelie Vlad AU. This is her “village girl” glamour but in truth she is one of King Vladislav’s Fae daughters sent to spy on Danny and eventually lure him into a trap. She ends up getting too attached to Danny though and betrays the King of the Unseelie Court then goes into hiding after doing what she can to help Danny figure out how to free himself from the magical bond Vlad placed on him when he was a child, leaving him Fae-Touched. That said, I’ll have to come up with her Fae form later on since I’m still busy redesigning Pariah Dark atm.

I made an aesthetic board for my Fae version of Dani/Ellie. Even though she’s one of King Vladislav’s daughters Dani is curious and playful which makes her seem much more like a Fae of the Seelie Court rather than Unseelie Court. This works in Vladislav’s favor at first since Danny doesn’t suspect that she was sent to lure him even deeper into the forest despite sensing the magic within her. But when Dani begins to understand that his suffering is because of her father’s selfishness she decides to help him try to escape the bond between them instead even though betraying her king could mean being banished forever.

All that aside, Dani has the ability to transform either into other creatures such as an owl, fawn, deer, moth, and so on depending on her mood. And of course she can switch between her true form and a human glamour. Like most Fae she has a sweet tooth so Dani adores eating berries and playing games like hide and seek. She was created to seem as human as possible so despite being a Fae Dani doesn’t fully understand what it means to be that ancient like many of the others since she was only born into the world recently, which again, makes it easy for her to take Danny’s side instead who doesn’t want any part in what King Vladislav has planned for him, aka forcing him into become a Fae Prince.

Anyways, I’ll make a character sheet for Dani later too but for now that’s the extent of her backstory in my Unseelie Vlad AU.

Thanks! I'm glad you like my work! As for King Vladislav's "daughters" I haven't really decided who else to count among them since the Fae technically can't have children of their own so they either adopt someone among their own kind, magically create a new Fae, or change a human child into a Fae which is their most common practice. It's kinda like how I headcanon that new ghost children are created by combining the core energy of two ghosts.

Plus, I’m basing this AU on the story of Der Erlkönig, a German poem turned ballad and more or less one of the verses translates to the Elf/Fae King saying:

“Won’t you come with me, my fine lad? My daughters shall wait upon you;my daughters lead the nightly dance,and will rock you, and dance, and sing you to sleep.”

Also I should note that to the Unseelie and Seelie Court all their subjects are their children but only a select few are numbered as direct members of the inner court which means someone is considered Fae royalty. So just like in the show, Vlad mainly created Dani/Ellie to deceive Danny which means she's actually a newborn Fae that hasn't existed for centuries like his other daughters. As such she's more innocent and naive and just wants to make her father/king proud by bringing him the prince he's been longing for. In other words, Danny.

My Danny Phantom AU's (Danny Fenton)

Sorry this took so long! I kinda forgot to finish up sharing my AU’s with Danny in them before. But hey, better late than never!

I guess we might as well start at the very beginning with the Danny from my fanfics “Nowhere To Run” and the sequel “Turning Point.” The idea here like in many of my fanfics was to find some way to believably redeem Vlad when he realizes how much Danny means to him...

So when Danny is faced with a threat even he can’t face alone, it’s up to Vlad to save him. After that, well, without spoiling too much it’s basically the second final showdown with Dan we never got. With that in mind I suppose you could call this a Dan Rematch AU.

Then of course we have my beloved Danny Program AU which was born when I woke up one morning and wondered, if Vlad had a Maddie and Jack program, then why not a Danny one as a perfect son simulator? And now that story has been fully realized in my current fanfic “Ghost In The Machine” based on a wonderful snippet originally written by @dp-marvel94!

Next up we have my upcoming Unseelie Vlad AU where Danny and the others live in a medieval village surrounded by a dark forest ruled by the Fae, and sadly he ends up drawing the attention of the Unseelie Court’s King, Vladislav, when he was a child who will stop at nothing to make Danny a Fae prince in his court.

These are my genderbent versions of Danny in my fanfics “Lost Soul,” “Haunted Soul” and an upcoming fanfic called “Final Epitaph.” Long story short, these are all stories where Vlad realizes she genuinely needs his help so Vlad steps in to help, seeing her as a daughter and makes the smart decision not to alienate her like he did with the normal Danny in the show. As a result, she came to trust him and even relied on Vlad a couple times when things got a little too hard for her to handle alone.

And last but not least, I have a Fatal Frame crossover planned for the future so while this is technically not an AU per-say, I’m adding it anyway! All I remember is that I had this cool idea about bandages turning into film reels so I’m sure I’ll be able to come up with the rest of the story concept later on.

My Danny Phantom AU's (Fright Knight)

It’s no secret that the Fright Knight is one of my favorite villains in the show. I love his design and I love Halloween in general. So as you can imagine I’ve drawn him a LOT. I am going to skip my old Spirit of Halloween AU because...it’s super cringe. The rest should be fine though!

First up we have my version of the Fright Knight in my Unseelie Vlad AU. He’s the leader of the Wild Hunt, an army of spirits that ride through the night sky in an eternal hunt. This Fright Knight was once the loyal subject of a King who turned out to be a tyrant, betrayed him, and left him for dead. But as the Fright Knight lay dying, the King of the Unseelie Court, Vladislav, appeared and gave him an offer. He gave the Fright Knight the chance to have his revenge and serve a new master that loves all his subjects and richly rewards their loyalty. In the end he agreed and laid waste to that ancient kingdom.

Now the Fright Knight serves King Vladislav by collecting mortal souls to join the Wild Hunt. Surprisingly though, he’s an honorable spirit that gives Danny and his friends a sporting chance to flee since the Fright Knight can tell Danny doesn’t want to become a member of the Unseelie Court. But sadly, the Fright Knight can only disobey his liege for so long before he has no choice but to take the mortal boy by force.

As many of you know, I personally like to think of the Fright Knight as the former Headless Horseman from Sleepy Hollow which is why I drew this version of him. He’s a lot scarier and gleefully cackles as he chases his victims on horseback every Halloween.

The two versions of the Fright Knight above are purely visual and I just wanted to draw him in a bit more traditional armor.

This last one is a concept from “The Grimoire” where the Fright Knight is loyal to the true Ghost King, aka Owen and like Azrael would like to see him take the throne. But the Fright Knight’s reasons are much more selfish since he wants the power serving under Owen would have to offer as a Necromancer which in this world have the power to banish demons and empower the ghost powers of their allies.

My Danny Phantom AU's (Vlad Masters)

You’d think as one of my favorite villains I’d have more AU versions of Vlad but it turns out I don’t. He’s in pretty much every fanfic I’ve written in the phandom though so it balances out, and those ARE different versions of him at least timeline-wise.

Gonna start with an interesting AU that’s technically a crossover between Danny Phantom and the game Bendy and the Ink Machine. So what happened is I was watching a let’s play of that and thought that Bendy’s design reminded me of Vlad’s ghost form and I wanted to try drawing something a bit more abstract and this is the result!

The next one is my new genderbent version of Vlad, Victoria. And I am thinking of making her part of a twin AU too similar to the Flynn and Jazz one which would make her a whole separate character.

My Good Vlad AU is such a sweetheart and I love him so much! The idea here is that I wanted to create a version of Vlad that managed to get closure with Jack and Maddie early enough after the accident that he didn’t go down a dark road that twisted his ghost form so this one looks like like how he did immediately after the proto-portal blasted him in the face. He can still be a bit selfish sometimes, but he cares about the Fenton family very deeply. Especially Danny after he discovers his best friend’s son has become half-ghost too so he does what he can to help him, often with mixed results or causing even more trouble by mistake.

To end things off with a bang, here we have King Vladislav, ruler of the Unseelie Court. This is a Vlad that was never human to begin with but rather an ancient Fae. One day, Danny and his father Jack are traveling through Vlad’s forest on their way home and the Fae King becomes instantly enamored with Danny and tries to lure him away from Jack with sweet words. Frightened, Jack rides harder and faster to escape whatever unseen force is at work but then...in a fit of anger Vladislav accidentally kills Danny after he refuses to go with him.

After that, Jack begs Vlad to bring his son back which he agrees to under the condition that one day Vlad would come back to claim Danny and make him a Fae prince in his court. With no other choice, Jack agrees but then becomes a Fae Hunter along with his wife Maddie to search for a way to break the magical pact so they won’t lose their son. But the Fae do not easily forget or forgive so when Danny comes of age he starts hearing the forest call out to him and when his parents threaten to leave the village forever to protect him and he discovers the existence of the Unseelie King, Danny sets off with his friends to break the pact by braving the dangers of Vladislav’s forest.

My Danny Phantom AU's (Valerie Gray)

Valerie is another favorite character of mine and I’m so glad I can draw her again. Her character arc is probably the best in the show if we’re being honest since you can see how she starts off as just another rich girl bully then becomes Danny’s friend as well as a great ghost hunter.

The first two are the new versions of her I imagine in my fanfic “Turning Point” which is the sequel to “Nowhere To Run.” Valerie has been through a lot in both stories which I won’t spoil but in the end, they helped her realize that Danny Phantom was never her enemy and did a lot more for all of Amity Park than she originally thought.

Using my older AU outfit, I designed an alternate Future Valerie and I absolutely love the scar! Because let’s face it, after duking it out with Dan for 10 years she had to have collected at least a couple of battle scars even if he was “going easy” on Valerie out of boredom.

This one is just a random AU where Valerie is part of a Witch Coven.

These braids took forever to draw but were totally worth it! This is Valerie from my Unseelie Vlad AU. She’s a huntress and the daughter of the town blacksmith. Unlike Tucker though, she hunts more than just wild game to feed her family, Valerie also hunts down Fae whenever possible to protect everyone and prevent anyone else from being kidnapped by them like her mother was when she was a baby.

And last but not least we have Valerie’s genderbent version from “Lost Soul,” “Haunted Soul,” and the upcoming fanfic “Final Epitaph” named Vallen. The basic idea in all these stories is that instead of Vlad making him a ghost hunter to spy on Danielle, aka genderbent Danny, he made Vallen one to help keep the ghost population under control so the burden wasn’t entirely on his little badger’s shoulders.
