what was the god-tier's childhood like? (tw. child abuse, violent bullying)
Seraphina
we've seen seraphina's childhood so there's not much to expand on
her parents were obviously very strict, expecting the best from her and leilah in every aspect.
however, her parents weren't perfect themselves. her father is extremely absent to the point where seraphina wasn't able to consistently recognize his face until she was like 9 or so.
her mom needs a glass of wine to make it through the day and seraphina once drank a cup when she was younger, passing out a few hours later. only a vision of leilah's hazy face taking care of her reminds her of this moment.
her parents didn't enforce corporal punishment, using psychological means to make leilah and her obedient.
she remembers being locked in dark closets and empty rooms for long periods of time, being denied breakfast, lunch, and only given a small dinner.
John
like sera, we've seen most of his childhood.
but unlike sera's, his home life wasn't bad at all.
his dad was amazing and very involved with John's life and well-being. he taught him to fight and about the dangers of being a cripple without making him feel inferior.
but his classmates made up for that. without anything better to do, they practiced violent and humiliating actions on him as he had no power to do anything about it.
three of his classmates once held him down and burned him with matchsticks on his arms and legs. that memory still lingers at the back of his head today.
of course, we already know what happened once he gained his powers.
Arlo
his parents absolutely used corporal punishment.
ranging from backhanded slaps from his mother or full on beatings from his father, the physical punishment was most definitely effective as it was harmful. not only in behavior, but also in strengthening his ability.
emotions were never allowed in his household. even happiness was frowned upon if it was 1. unnecessary or 2. excessive. his mother would smack him if he cried, scowling at him for the behavior.
he's no stranger to comments like "I'll give you something to cry about." and "what are you crying about? I didn't even hit you that hard."
his lack of emotions compared to other children his age led to him not being able to make friends until middle school (holden) and severe developmental setbacks in his social skills.
he remembers not being able to speak for two days after crying "excessively" once he stubbed his toe. when he did finally speak, he was hit by a ruler by his mother to "make her point"

some of these r kind of a stretch! also there's so much isen im so sorry im in love with him

i hc isen to be bi with no preference
i also am in between on him being amab or afab. i see him using they/he either way tho
he's a demiboy
he's vv closeted
but remi knows
he has a (younger) twin sister and another younger (half) sister
he's found himself being in charge a lot & messing up at home, which is why he's so against taking big responsibilities (like when he becomes jack)
they have severe anxiety
and also undiagnosed adhd
he's good at keeping secrets but if anyone were to simply ask them about one he'd be like really bad at deflecting it
he had a really good relationship with his father until it was noticed that younger half sister was a product of an affair so then his parents got divorced and isen lost contact
his stepdad is nice but isen doesn't find themselves to be as close to him as their siblings are and it makes him a lil upset
he's still really family oriented even though he kind of resents his mom for the whole affair
they work a job as a janitor at night so his siblings can have some spare money
his mom is chronically ill
oh oh and his twin sister goes to a school outside of wellston because she's rlly smart
isen's not vv open about his family, he'll only mention them if remi says something about rei first or if blyke talks about his mom
i love blysen sm but i do think isen would've had a crush on remi before
he's dated a lot of people
including cecile for a week
cecile broke it off
as you can see none of the relationships really lasted
speaking of how i love blysen – he's had a crush on blyke for a really long time but hasn't realized it's a crush
isen & his twin went on this hair dye adventure once hence the hair
i saw someone say he tried to bleach his hair and it came out orange and i firmly agree
naturally black hair i will die on this hill
while isen had a hair oopsie, their sister was successful and has blonde highlights
(i do have names for his siblings but they're not very creative (twin is isabella & half-sister is irene))

Very random uno headcanons
I think isen smells like lavender. no explanation
arlo cant use chopsticks. remi tries to teach him with no success
sera only likes swedish fish gummies
remi wanted a dog when she was little but rei and their dad were deathly allergic so they got her a funky looking rock and she cherishes it to this day
john will never admit it but he sleeps with stuffies when he's upset and will get very sad and apologize if one of the stuffies fall off the bed
sera's parents never taught her or leilah actually important life skills (like socializing, or domestic stuff like laundry or cooking) bc it would "get in the way if their studies and training, which is why arlo had to teach a confused first year sera how to use a toaster
on a similar note, arlos parents always taught arlo how to make his own life and live on his own, bc they wanted their child to become some self-made prodigy
blykes parents are divorced.
for his few years of college, rei had the most atrocious college-student-cooking because all he would do everyday was sleep (bc vigilante rei) and study (bc he is a good boy) he once cooked pickles on the stove bc it was all he had left and called it a day
isen eats rlly slowly cause he likes to take in all the flavour of the food hes eating. he also gets full very easily (same)
blyke listens to self-help or motivation podcasts in the morning while getting ready for school
while in their acquaintance stage, remi and isen bondes over the drama isen knew. remis a gossip addict (while it's never over anything serious, mostly just silly stuff)
john knows moderately well(-ish) how to cook, since William wasn't home a lot because of his job and taught John how to cook and not burn the house down
isen sometimes thinks John is adopted
arlo's hair routine takes him half an hour because he has really bad bed hair in the morning
isen, however, wakes up looking like he had just brushed his hair with the comb of god
elaine is that one person who had everything in her locker. she wants to make sure she can help people outside of just healing them. she has gum, mints, a comb, some emergency snacks, bandages, pads, perfume, and a whole hair care collection
remi always decorates her locker for holidays. for one halloween, she out spiders on the outside of her locker and a little witch figure that held her hair ties, and for christmas she puts up small lights and her locker always smells like candy canes and gingerbread
as a kid, blyke once ate a gingerbread man and his friend jokingly told him that gingerbread man's are actually alive and he nearly cried. the next day his friend pranked him by putting a gingerbread woman on his desk with a note "you killed my hubby >:(
isen is allergic to milk. not in a lactose intolerant way, but an actual allergy (like peanut allergy) way. he likes almond and strawberry milk

ok you probably won’t know what this is cuz I’ve asked a few others and nobody knows but could u do main uno cast (zeke cecile Meili ventus and doc included sorry if it’s a lot 😭) and what entities from the Magnus archives they would serve. ik it’s random sorry
I just saw another post talking about uno characters and what entities they would serve. I’m only halfway through tma so I might be a lil off but I love tma!
• John would serve the Stranger. His name is literally John Doe. Remember the anatomy class episode and everybody had a filler name? yeah. He’s also able to copy other people’s abilities so I find this very fitting.
• Seraphina would serve the End. I don’t know why she just seems like she would have dreams like that one guy in that one statement.
• Arlo would serve the Stranger as well. Major Nikola Orsinov vibes. If not, maybe the spiral? He reminds me of Helen as well.
• Isen would serve the Eye. I don’t even think I need to elaborate. His ability helps him see others and what they are doing. He also does the school newspaper and interviews. It’s undeniable. Though, maybe the Hunt but I don’t see it.
• Blyke would serve the Buried or the Lonely. Honestly, I don’t think he’d serve any. I think he’d be like Gerard Keay and despise Leitner.
• Remi would serve the Web. She seems like the kind of person who’d be scared of spiders but wouldn’t like to ever kill anything, even insects. She’s very independent so I don’t think she’d like to be controlled either and she seems to like being leader.
• Doc would serve the Spiral or the Extinction. Spiral because he can make people scared with his ability and make them fear him. He messes with their emotions and that’s very spirally. Extinction because I said so.
• Elaine would serve the Corruption. I could go on for ages about why I think this but I’ll keep it short. She’s ignored a lot, her friendships seem unhealthy, and she is a people pleaser. Definitely corruption.
• Cecile would serve the Eye. Again, she interviews people and always wants to know everything. She knew John was Joker, and she has spied on people before.
• Terrence would serve the Lonely. He can become invisible and he’s lonely. He himself can’t directly do anything with invisibility but he can help somebody else with it like Cecile.
• Zeke would serve the Desolation. He’s very enthusiastic and ambitious to try and sabotage everything for other people, just like the desolation.
• Meili would serve the Hunt. It’s just the claws that make me think this (she could tear people apart).
• Ventus would serve the Vast. Maybe because his ability is related to wind is the reason I think this? Idk. Would probably be like Simon Fairchild

headcanons centering main cast’s passive abilities
I just think having your power constantly manifest itself in some way would be pretty impactful on your life actually
If Remi goes into a room with a lot of complex electrical stuff going on (a computer lab maybe) she’ll start getting a headache from how overstimulating it is. She functions as a portable phone charger which Blyke and Isen take full advantage of. She can identify any circuitry problem by just. feeling how the electricity is flowing through the device
Seraphina always knows exactly what time it is down to the millisecond. John always asks her what time it is just to annoy her.
arlo tried to get more piercings once, but it didn’t work because his passive defense stopped it from happening. Any sort of invasive medical procedure does Not work on him. This includes IVs and needles in general (he hasn’t gotten vaccinated in 2 years). honestly i have a million headcanons centering arlo’s passive and his theoretical medical trauma
John uses his aura detection to sneak up on people and jumpscare them. by people i do mean arlo.
isen’s (not a high tier but i had the idea and wanted to put it here) eyes are based on tracking movement, so he has a really hard time with focusing on things that are stationary. what im saying is that his ability gave him both adhd and dyslexia. he has hair trigger reflexes that let him crush Blyke at video games which pisses Blyke off to no end.

Unordinary last name hcs
90% of these are me stealing headcanons from different people
Something i always wonder about: do children typically inherit their last names from their mother or father? i personally don’t think john counts as an example because he didn't grow up with his mother and we don’t even know if william and jane were married. (+ i don't think we hear him be referred to with william’s last name) i believe that last names are based off of a family’s abilities? like, families with defensive abilities will have a last name relating to defensive stuff or whatever. anyways. i have specific nitpicks with last names, the letters they start with, and the way they roll off the tongue.
skipping JOHN for this post since DOE fits him well enough already.
for ISEN, i’d have him have his last name be JAEGER. its a German surname that means ‘hunter’ and i think it just rolls off the tongue well too. i saw a couple people use it and i was like !! wow. that fits really well.
ARLO would probably be a French last name or something vaguely defense-related. imo names starting with A go pretty well with B last names, so, ARLO BASTION (a kind of fortification tower) or ARLO BEAUFORT (beautiful fortress).
BLYKE, i think would have a Chinese/Korean last name (personal hc that he’s Asian lmao). a few surnames i think that sound nice / sort-of fit him are: YUN (korean - meaning governor), ZHU (chinese, meaning crimson) and lastly, LIANG (meaning a bridge or a beam). i tried to do some vague symbolism & references ot his ability on the last two !! was quite indecisive with blyke gfghj
SERAPHINA is the character i had the most trouble trying to find a suitable last name for, like, its just so hard. kept trying to find last names relating to ‘time’ that sounded right with her first name and it was atrociously difficult. some other hcs of other people were “levin” and another, “albrecht” that fits better but they didn’t ring right w me. i eventually ended up with KAIROS (meaning the exactly right time to do/say a certain thing in ancient Greek), and/or YULE (celebration of the winter solstice, doesn’t necessarily fit with the “time” theme but i thought it sounded nice)
REMI i think would have a Japanese last name, since rei and remi are both Japanese names (rei meaning departed soul and remi meaning heavens, sky) A few fitting surnames i found are: AMETSUCHI (meaning heaven & earth) or TENKUBASHI (meaning heaven sky bridge). yep, lots of symbolism on the lightning ability.

aw rip, you asked this before I answered another ask saying he's actually my least favorite :'D
I don't really have any headcanons for him. Maybe that he's overprotective of Remi because he feels responsible for her after Rei's death. Oh, and he probably has piercings because his evil aunt Agnes (Val) took him on a girls' trip to the mall one day and they said "screw it, why not" when they passed the Claire's
Also, I know that man is like 5'11, but imagining he's 5'2 in spirit always makes me feel better >:3

remlo as pet owners
it's entirely possible that they would own either a cat or a little puppy (or both)
the dog and cat in question
the dynamic would be so different for each one but one thing is certain and it's that arlo and the animals will be competing with each other for remi's attention
arlo sleeping on the couch with a cat curled up on his lap <3
remi going out for afternoon runs with their dog <33
with the dog arlo will have it learn every single trick in the book and have it going on daily runs
with the cat it would be chilling while arlo reads another self help book
them trying to have their dalmations 101 scene where they have the dog run while they couples bike 😭
remi entertaining the cat by having it chase a fly-fishing toy or the laser point tool and have the cat run around everywhere trying to catch it
arlo will be malewifing and trying to bake something and then there's a cat dashing all over the cutting board and sending vegetables flying everywhere
their dog will be disciplined as fuck bc arlo refuses to let it run wild and be a public nuisance like those owners who let their dogs act up whenever they run into another dog
but under remi's jurisdiction it would be completely unhinged and jump him affectionately (he gets grossed out every time)
arlo: "we need order over here" so in public their dog is the model of good behavior
he is so proud of the dog as he is able to go on walks with it unleashed and everyone is amazed, plays it off like its no biggie "literally every dog in europe is capable of doing this"
but he can't stop it from pouncing on him whenever he comes home
the cat meanwhile will just jump on the table and there is nothing to be done about that
the dog leaping into bed with remlo 😭 remi doesn't gaf and starts cuddling the dog
arlo hates it because fur gets everywhere and it gets in the middle of them (lowkey he loves it why lie)
arlo sticking his head out from underneath the blankets and the cat popping out right after him
arlo and the cat will be so petty 😭 whenever arlo does something the cat doesn't like it'll start knocking pans off of the countertops
he'll pull it off of the counter and its super pissed bc he's immune to it scratching
remi refuses to let arlo put the cat in his place
she takes it from him like "you're so harsh for NO reason" when she turns around the cat sticks its tongue out at him over her shoulder (their reverse tom and jerry dynamic)
arlo as tom and the cat as jerry
they have a hate-love relationship where arlo cannot keep the cat's name out of his mouth when talking shit but they are inseperable around the house
remi picks up knitting and the cat suffers immensely whenever she pulls it into one of her signature yarn sweaters that could double as a straitjacket
arlo and the dog dual waiting for remi to get home from work
as soon as she unlocks the door the dog is onto her immediately meanwhile arlo hovers around the doorway, she's like. just join us and stop acting like you were doing something else
remi goes out to petco all the time and buys those crazy treats that look like baked human goods
arlo makes the dog do at least 5 tricks before it can even get a fration of a morsel of the treat meanwhile remi spoils the hell out of it and sneaks it extra when arlo is not around
remi would buy those poor animals jorts and a t-shirt so its up to arlo to assemble their society-friendly fits
the dog instantly goes to remi for treats and pets meanwhile the cat jumps onto arlo like a baby bc it knows he won't try to make it dance or recreate silly cat videos
remi has a dogstagram that is spam-updated every thirty minutes to her own insta having posts every other day

perfect arc sera probably had a hint that she liked girls but shoved it so down into her soul that pretty much no one would've guessed
she probably tried forcing herself to like arlo but that lasted for like 30 minutes at best...
during cripple john, she probably didn't really care about her sexuality, only being able to finally admit she liked girls.
she's not in the closet anymore really, she just doesn't tell anyone about it unless they specifically ask.
she's never brought up anything sexuality related with her parents. leilah did once and it didn't go over very smoothly.

👛 school life – there's not a lot of headcanons i can think of for this because everything i can think of is already canon. i'm pretty sure he's not that good with academics, and the wiki says its because he has trouble focusing. i feel like he'd be in some advanced classes, but bs his way through them. i feel like he would suck at math, too, to balance out the journalist in him.
💎 movies or tv shows – i can't really think of any good shows so i'm just going to project. he watched ginny and georgia, thought it sucked, but stayed for the drama. also would see oppenheimer i havent seen it but i don't think he would see barbie
🎲 texting style - would definitely still keep grammar over text and mantain spelling, but would use all lowercase for the vibes. would use apostrophes. occasionally makes typos but not often. most used emoji is the man dancing emoji because that's so real.

Except this time its probably gonna be 90% isen
Sera does not know how to cook because she's always had other people (e.g chefs, butlers, maids, literally anyone else) make her food so she could spend more time studying and practicing other extracurriculars
As a kid, Arlo used to take whole onions peel off the skin, and eat them like an apple. He, to this day, still has no idea where he even got this habit from, and Valerie sometimes teases him for it
Isen's mom used to play the piano, so he grew up with a piano in his house. Because of this, he gradually learned how to play the piano, and can actually play very nicely, yet he's never showed anyone this
William is actually very good friends with the parents of Claire and Adrion, despite everything John has done. He sometimes does a little coffee catch up with the parents of the neighborhood, and the entire thing makes him emotional because no one ever included William when he was younger
Blyke's parents are divorced, but Blyke hasn't seen his father in years and barely remembers what he looks like. He has a strong sense of family, and would do anything to protect his mother and younger sister.
Isen's two other siblings are his twin older sister and brother. He used to be really close with them when he was younger, watched shows with them, played, went on trips, but as thry grew older they faded away and now he barely even speaks to them
Rei was actually a very rebellious teen. Around his second and third years, he got a piercing, drove without a drivers license, skipped class, and even stole a couple times from small stores. After a while he started feeling bad and began maturing, if not for his sake, then for Remi's, because he wanted to be someone Remi could look up to
Illnesses (both small and big, e.g the flu and things like cancer), exist in Uno. Many diseases can be cured and healed by modern technology and some abilities can aid as well, but there are still some incurable diseases. Low-tier cities and areas also don't receive treatments very later after the higher ranked areas, or sometimes don't get medicines at all
Elaine is actually very obsessed with tea (the liquid,,). she has many different types of tea and ingredients in her drawers, and her favourite kind is chamomile
Even though he is very terrified of real things like ember, spectre and stuff, Isen loves crime documentaries and shows. He often stays up late watching them, sometimes Blyke and Remi will join, even though they don't feel as strongly about it. When Remi first started asking Isen to research Ember's attack patterns, he (secretly) got very excited because it reminded him of a crime documentary
Blyke likes American football. He would also like basketball, but is salty of the fact that Isen is better at it because he's taller than him
Arlo very much enjoys to bake, and his favourite thing to make is cupcakes. After hearing about Rei's death, his kitchen was filled with everything he baked
Arlo's family owns a beach house. Once, when visiting it as a kid, Arlo was attempting to learn how to swim, when a saw a pile of garbage that looked exactly like a plastic bag. So, he swam away, but got caught up in the currents and ended up swimming closer to the garbage "shark". He then started to start flapping his legs in the water, and his shin touched a jellyfish. Needless to say, he never swam in the ocean after that
Adrion was the first one to introduce mango boba (and boba in general) to John and Claire. While Claire didn't really prefer it (she prefers smoothies), John absolutely fell in love with it. He got gift cards to every boba shop within a 50 mile radius for his birthday after that
Also, while mango is John's absolute favourite fruit, he refuses to eat it unless it is cut up into squares. He also once tried to grow a mango garden, but didn't learn that mangos grew on trees before Sera told him
Remi prefers white chocolate over every other kind, while Blyke prefers dark, and Isen doesn't like any, (he only likes things with chocolate in them, like chocolate cake, not chocolate by itself)
Arlo has a shellfish allergy, Blyke has an allergy to dust, and Isen has a nut and dairy allergy
When he was a child, John said he was allergic to dogs and cats so he wouldn't have to go to some field trip to an animal centre (he actually was just afraid of animals back then). He kept this lie for 2 years. Once he sneezed beside a dog, and believed he got an allergy from lying, and continued to swear to never lie again (haha-)

his sister has tried to reconnect with him but its a work in progress
