For the ask meme
For the shopping cart (common things I incorporate in fics): It honestly depends. I'll try to keep this one short. I don't know if I'll be able to answer this one accurately.
If I am creating a specific location or setting, I will get very descriptive (Best example: A Spider in the Village was really descriptive about certain locations, especially ones where certain characters dwelled, and I tired to have those locations reflect the characters in some way. Another good example: The adult version of Pleasure Island from 'Heart made of pine' required a lot of description in order to create a place that would be fascinating, but at the same time kind of gross, but I had to keep it as PG as I could).
Sometimes I can get descriptive of a character, especially if it's one that I especially like. Sometimes the main focus will be on their face if I admire their appearance or design.
Also, I am HUGE on platonic pairings and friendships, so don't be surprised if a lot of hugging is involved. And those hugs are written to feel comforting.
Finally, if I EVER write an AU fic that lasts more than one chapter, there's an unintentional rule/bad habit that at least one main character is going to suffer some kind of nasty injury. I got a list in my head of the poor suckers in question who suffered this if anyone is curious. (And yes, this includes the most recent poor sucker from the fic I'm currently working on).
For the music notes (what kind of music do I listen to while I write/what am I currently listening to on loop): It varies. Whatever helps me get in the mood, but often there is no singing. I've been listening to weirdcore and Kingdom Hearts music while writing 'Her First Forever Friend' for some reason. I'm not listening to anything on repeat, but some songs I've heard can influence the chapters or story parts I work on. (One song in particular influenced the current chapter of HFFF, as well as an important moment of character development, but I don't want to reveal what song until I get to the chapter.)

You whispered as you strapped the bunny hood to Nobody, you don't understand the physics but hell are you gonna question it.
"Is that better?"
Nobody sniffed, their face was a mess, literally. Their face seemed like it was gonna fall into a puddle, the only reason he doesn't is because every big drop of... Face, it simply floated back up (It kinda reminded you of lava lamps). It was surreal to look at. Actually horrifying.
But the bunny hood made it slightly better.
Nobody trembled as they sat in the nest of plushies, your plushies (you didn't even know you had that many). Nobody looked pitiful, like an injured animal. It hurt your heart, and that's what made you hate it so much.
You wanted to be mad at them, you had every right to be. What they did wasn't right.
But... God...
You wished you didn't have heart.
"Hey..."
Nobody perks up, making a squeak as you suddenly hugged them.
"It's okay, I forgive you..." You reassured, which made Nobody freeze. You never hugged them before, Nobody instantly wrapped their blurry limbs around you. They're... They're kinda tingly, like how your legs fell asleep, but it's also kinda warm.
It was comforting, in a misty kinda way, like when you were really sleepy in your parent's car.
Nobody's face got back to their usual molasses sludge pace, and their shakes soon steadied. Nobody felt their whole being heat up, oh suns!! You were so close... Closer then ever...
It made Nobody absolutely euphoric.
Nobody made little guttural whimpers, as they clung to your back desperately, nuzzling into you. The warmness of it all, how soft and squishy you were was so much like the toys and dolls that they could manifest. But you... you were real! you were real and warm, you took care of them and you made them feel! See! Hear-
Nobody was... So glad that you were theirs.
Nobody usually find his condition a burden but... They would be lying if they said they didn't like the fact that it made you wrapped around their little finger~ It made you take care of them, be so close to them...
You simply stood there as they practically cuddled you into the plush pile, not really sure on what to do but at least you were comfy. you tilt your head curiously as Nobody pulled away from the hug, well that certainly was a first. Their iconic grin grew wider for a moment as they seemed to have grabbed something inside of themselves.
Nobody pulled out a little froggy plush with a heart, blushing a bit as they reached it towards you, waiting for you to take it.

Mercury mobile phone TV advert, September 1993
When the mobile industry was so young and fledgling that this advert provides a personal thank you from what was probably a genuine Mercury (now T-Mobile) employee. It was a brave new world.
Feels very weird seeing mobiles advertised on UK telly as early as 1993. I know they were 'out there' prior to this, but seeing them featured in advert breaks (with multi million viewer potential) assumes they'd hit the mainstream in an era that we'd regard as well within the ''before we all had phones!'' threshold.
There is just... something off about this. The disembodied head. The glimpse of a technological world about to transform in ways the 1993 audience would probably never anticipate. Unintentional liminal/weirdcore.
