if you’ve talked to me for ~2 mins, you know i’m a big harry is louis’ baby stan™️ & therefore, couldn’t end 2022 without making a faves/recommendation list for the trope, especially given my harry is louis’ baby fic fest lol (sign up for it here if you’d like!). i don't want this to be 84 feet long, so i’ve limited myself to ~50 fics & since i have many praises to give, in lieu of summaries, i put why i love each fic. sorry for another long list but also not really? my cousin married her childhood crush (who’s also her best friend’s brother), so i’m a sucker for this trope. nicole consistently - as you’ll see in their other fics on this list - perfectly writes louis as immediately interested but it never feels too fast paced or unrealistic. harry is enamored by louis but simply does not know what to do with himself in the face of louis. it always just makes sense & is so lovely. we got some phone sex w louis’ dirty talk in here too, what a treat.

I really agree with this, but I don't know if mlm fics cause it, or reflect a bigger problem in some societies.
I read somewhere that Larry works for girls who live in more oppressive pockets of society where religion warps female desire into female shame. (For example, LATAM with the Catholic church's influence; parts of the US where the Christian right control sex education and messaging.)
It's really attractive to those sorts of people (who also often downplay their desire for men, especially on Tumblr for some reason!) because they get to imagine love/romance/devotion/sex with Harry, or perhaps Louis, without needing to feel the shame they've grown up with as girls/women.
(The romanticisation of the struggle to be out and openly gay is also safe for Larries because they don't, in fact, need to do this for real, themselves. It's a form of safe rebellion. Which they see reflected in Louis himself, with his swearing and non-conforming. I mean, pmsl, because he's a rich white guy with a terrible personality, not some kind of boundary-breaking genius, but whatever.)
I was interested that Gina can't deal with having to imagine herself as a female character. She could just observe a female character, but she obviously immerses herself in fiction. I wonder which character she 'feels' herself most to be in Larry fics? I would put money on she imagines herself as Louis with Harry as her devoted lover. A nice, safe fantasy for her.
Agree that she almost definitely imagines herself as Louis with Harry tending to her every need. One of her fics features Harry as a robot specifically designed by scientist Louis to possess all the traits he desires in a lover.
From everything she's said on that blog, her own relationship is far from the romantic ideal she writes about in her fiction. She says they don't bother with Valentine's Day and 'haven't for the last 15 years', and her husband chose to travel to his workplace during the pandemic rather than work from home cooped up with her.

Zane just did an interview with Hayley Williams of Paramore. His intelligence was always a delight; it’s unfortunate that it is now used to sell Harry Styles. Since Zane is an Azoff client, will never see an interview with Louis. Never.

Harry’s interview and reference to “somebody’s mum” was on November 22, 2019. 
Let me point out that Louis remembers this photo vividly. So well, in fact, that he posted it for the band’s tenth anniversary, on July 23, 2020.
Louis, like Jay, wanted One Direction’s memories to stay golden and intact. Louis valued and loved his band unequivocally, and he will not let the man with the biggest social platform sully the memory of their first photo together, nor let the disrespect to his mother go unaddressed.
Louis’ method will never be to call Harry out explicitly. But make no mistake, everything Louis posts, he posts with intent. Louis, the master of shade, remembers, and Louis knows.

yesterday i had too much caffeine and was kind of all over the place in scrolling blogs, doing organizer work, trying to donate platelets (and failing!!), picking up foreign currency from the bank, and starting the inoculation kit. in all of that there was one blog post i saw that was still with me this morning when i finally got myself out of bed and to the grocery store:
"There are a few things you can’t shake my belief in: that neither Harry nor Louis are straight, that they were definitely together during the band, and that Olivia is only PR, and that H/L are fundamentally decent human beings. Because I accept those things as fact, so much else just falls into place and I don’t have a hard time believing they’re still together etc." [source/archive]
this, gentlebeings, is circular reasoning, which is an informal logical fallacy.
this larrie here says she believes in the FACT that harry and louis were definitely together during the band and because she accepts that as a FACT (despite this not being a fact at all), she believes they are still together.
in other words: because harry and louis were together, they are still together.
let me give you an example from rationalwiki:
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1)
There are things we cannot see (God, Heaven, whatever).
There is no observable evidence that these things exist.
We believe in them anyway.
Our faith (unsupported belief) is itself the evidence of these “things not seen.”
Therefore these things exist, because we believe they do.
as @back-to-louis always says, larrie belief in larry is akin to religious belief. this larrie right here is taking something she has faith in and names that premise (and others) both belief AND fact, and then uses that premise as evidence that her continued belief in these statements is justified (backed up by 'fact') and causes her no discomfort.
and you know what? that's fine. have your religion, have your religious belief! have your mantras and rituals and whatever else, but don't pretend that your religious belief is activism, or of sound logic and reasoning, or the objective truth.

An Invincible Summer by Brooklyn_Babylon / @twopoppies
Never content to stay in one place for long, a few months down south researching for his novel seemed like an idyllic, slow-paced summer to Louis. He wasn't ready for the blistering heat, the backbreaking work of watermelon picking, or how stifling the attitudes in rural Georgia would feel. And he definitely hadn’t anticipated falling in love with the farmer’s son.
The summer of 1946 would turn out to be everything worth writing about.
This fic is the perfect mix of achingly tender and lusciously sensual in the way only first time fics can really be. There’s so much respect for the setting, treating both the time and the place like they’re characters almost, and the depth the author has given to the background story of the actual characters and the way that affects their love story makes this all the more moving.

I just saw a tweet from someone who recs fanfics with larry and said that some kpop stans and harries are stealing larry fics and reposting them on other sites and they change the characters names. The girl said they’re stealing relief next to me by haydolce then some from cherrystreet and some from twopoppies and indiaalpha.
I’d recommend to make them private. But do you know where can I report these people? It’s so nasty
oh no, that's awful! from what i know, cherrystreet isn't really active in the fandom anymore & potentially neither is hayholce? so i'm not sure if they'd see messages about this, but i could be wrong, and it definitely doesn't hurt to try. i do know the lovely @twopoppies and @indiaalphawhiskey are still active, though! i believe india's ao3 is private, though, so could you please send a link to the tweet or something so they can have a bit more context?
you can report a fic by scrolling to the bottom of the fic on ao3 and clicking "policy questions & abuse reports" under "contact us". for a visual, this is what it looks like:
if you scroll to the bottom of that page, you'll find a partially filled out form that you'll complete and submit to report the fic. you can also just click here to go directly to that page.
i know that wattpad isn't particularly good at protecting writers' works -- which is why you'll see a lot of authors say that they don't allow translations being put onto wattpad. but i can only speak on reporting from the app while logged in:
go to your account
go to settings
scroll down to "help & support"
tap/click "submit a support ticket"
tap/click "my issue isn't listed"
there's a few different options you can choose from -- i'd opt for 'reading', personally.
tap/click "submit a ticket"
there you can choose what topic you feel best describes the issue you're having and describe the issue.
ao3 is a lot better when it comes to this kind of thing than wattpad is, unfortunately, but i'd still definitely recommend submitting one just in case -- you never know!
i'm not sure about other fanfic websites, though, unfotunately. the only other one i know is fanfiction.net, and for that one you scroll to the bottom of the page, click 'help', and send an email to the support email provided.

Larries say bullshit like they’re not connecting to Louis or suddenly start a boycott because they DONT want content of Louis . They want Louis to be the silent background character so they can impose themselves in his place. Louis is just a image for a Y/N character to them.
@twopoppies hasn’t listened to any of Louis’ music for two years. She’s not listened to his concerts or interviews unless she physically was present (I think one LTWT concert?). She has no idea who his team even is. She thought Michael was Matt. She couldn’t recognize Louis from a photo of AFHF 2021.
That’s the case for most of the Larries who hover on her blog. They’re there to read fanfiction and talk about Harry.
