WHY DOES TUMBLR LOOK LIKE TWITTER NOW MAKE IT STOP PLEASE

Dashboard Unfucker finally broke for me, I'm wondering if anyone else has any similar projects they can reccomend.

I looked through my xkit rewritten options again since I haven't basically since it first game out and was able to make the dash more bearable but it still doesn't solve the main thing I wanted and liked about DU, namely getting rid of the sidebar. I thought I remembered some posts when it first changed about a script for ublock but can't find it.

I know it's a minor petty thing to dislike but I think what actually kills me about it is it pushes the entire dash a little bit to the right, like scrolling and looking at the site feels intrinsically just a little uncanny.

and tbh I do also just generally kinda hate everything being sidebars now. Somewhere along the line we stopped paying people to make separate mobile and desktop designs and it has only ever managed to make desktop sites worse, but that's a different conversation

So yeah if anyone can tell me how to get to a pre-mid 2023 dash layout I'd appreciate it.

once you remove the useless buttons it feels a bit more complete. wondering where the "Create" button is though? 5 miles down. Because ofc it needs to be on the bottom of your screen...

X/Twitter has apparently updated their UI so that all retweets are now labelled as "reposts", and the retweet button now says "repost" instead. I'm sure this won't cause any confusion at all.

clicking on a post's op takes you to the blog not the reblog and clicking on the space next to the url takes you to the rb but not the rb on their blog but as a separate page so when you want to see more posts tagged that way on their blog and you click on the tag it takes you the tag on tumblr not on op's blog so your only choice is to go on their blog and use the search function for the tag except tumblr's search function doesn't work and also if you click on the post as a way to look at that blog's older posts well you can't now ! so should i kill myself or should I kill myself

@staff The new layout is appalling and the least you could do is let people opt out of it.

Get that "Check out these blogs" and "Radar" crap out of here. I know how to find people to follow and you are cluttering up my dash.

friendly reminder that u can reverse tumblr updates on mobile by downloading an old app apk

step 1: go to your app/play store, turn off tumblr auto-update

step 2: delete tumblr

step 3: google 'tumblr old versions' and find the either ios, android, or whatever other system you have

step 4: scroll back a couple versions and click install on one you want

step 4.5: you may need to give your browser permission to install apps

step 5: click on the download, bam now u have old tumblr

step 6 ig?: swipe down on the blue banner in app telling you to update
