ANNOUNCEMENT: Twin Strangers X BlendBee!
We are extremely excited to announce the Twin Strangers collaboration with BlendBee! We're bringing you FOUR custom loose leaf tea blends inspired by YOU and the first four Depths in Syntax! Use our link to support us at TSP, and your favorite shows!:
Jamah and her team at BlendBee have been marvelous to work with. This was something that we thought was a far-off dream, but Jamah helped our wildest dreams come true! With every purchase, you'll be helping TWO small businesses - TSP and BlendBee!
My (Rowan) personal favorite is Gaia Green, and Ty loves the Dayba Chai, but ALL of them are unique and flavorful that are certainly reminiscent of the worlds we've had so much joy in creating. Thank you for supporting us, and cheers to bringing more content to your ears!

New Album: Long Walks and Short Tangents
Hey Everyone! N0n-B1nary here. I'm very happy to announce that my first album, "Long Walks and Short Tangents" is now available on Spotify!
This album has a pretty wide range of instrumental themes, but most are in the softer, lofi categories that are great to study , write, do chores or just zone out to. Two of the songs, "Translating an Akkadian Script with the help of Some Cheap Coffee" and "Sometimes Letting Go Of Your Past Means Crossing Mountain Ranges And Barbed Wire" were directly inspired by two characters from the fantastic Syntax Podcast made by @twinstrangersp , who are starting their crowdfunding campaign for season 3! Huge shout-out for their continued encouragement and support!

Syntax livebloggiiiiing @twinstrangersp
also some speculation
The angler snake is cool sounding. I love that its basically just zooming around in a canyon
MAN so J's brain changing like. Physically. And the way the breaches are described as being like snail shells. And the podcast art looking like a diagram of one of the bones in your ear
I'm just saying, could J be becoming a Keeper? A breach himself? Is the great cost the texts talking about the Keepers' lives? Do they die to become the next world?
Are the worlds their own minds? And thats why they vary so greatly?
I am chewing aggressively on these thoughts I hope you all enjoy them

Happy audio drama Sunday! I know I’ve been a little absent online recently, but there are some shows that I really need to yell about this week
First of all, @twinstrangersp are currently crowdfunding for Syntax S3, and need your help to reach their goal! https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/syntax-season-three#/
If you’ve heard the first two seasons, you KNOW they’ve got some fantastic stuff in store for us. And if you haven’t? Now’s the time to give them a listen before the crowdfund ends - their S2 crowdfund was what got me hooked on the show, and I’m so glad it did 🥰
Also, I’m still not emotionally recovered from @monkeymanproductions Moonbase Theta, Out finale. I won’t say too much about it yet because a) spoilers for anyone who hasn’t listened yet, and b) there are epilogues coming.
But god, this has been such a beautiful story from the start. MTO is one of the first ADs I ever listened to, and it’s the one that stuck with me most vividly. I remember exactly where I was when I was listening to the first season, what the weather was like, which house I was in (I’ve moved a lot), what I was doing during each finale.
It would be easy for a show like that to have a disappointing ending, but no. The finale beautifully reinforces everything this show stands for for - community, radical hope, small victories against seemingly untouchable oppressors. I’m forever grateful that this story exists for me to revisit (and I will be revisiting, often).
And finally, I know I’m late to this one but I’ve been powering through Greater Boston in time for their live-show at London Podcast Festival this evening! I don’t know why I waited so long to listen, this show is hilarious, chaotic as hell, and has made me cry an alarming number of times considering a main plot arc is “cheese robots”
I’ll be at LPF tonight watching @ameliapodcast @greaterblogston and @wefixspacejunk and idk about you but I can’t think of a more perfect way to spend my Sunday evening ☺️

Syntax Sunday
My #audiodramasunday is re-listening to Syntax (@twinstrangersp) A sci-fi horror that's so fun you'll forget that it's also horror. go on, get EMOTIONALLY INVESTED in crack squad that's tasked with exploring new worlds under the (ever helpful) corporate eye of VINCULA
Syntax is also currently crowdfunding for season 2
with 16 days left to back the campaign you can get stickers, pins, or if you're feeling generous even some lines in the show as an extra for the BREACHER team.
Syntax is a show that works hard on production value and strives to fully flesh out the fantastical world it takes place in. So if you have the time and are able please consider making a donation to an indie show that needs it. if you can't donate please spread the word!

Looking for a new listen?
This week we started Syntax from @twinstrangersp. We’re still very early on in the story but it starts very strong with a reality-bending relic, detailed linguistic research and a cast of intrepid scientists. If you’re a fan of the slowly unfolding horror of shows like The White Vault, or films such as Arrival, we think you’ll absolutely love this. We can’t wait to see how the story unfolds!

Syntax Podcast Review
Syntax by @twinstrangersp review out! Next on the list, How I Died podcast
Summary: A group of people are selected by the unique interview process of having their homes broken into and asked one question: whether they believe in the supernatural. It starts off good and then goes in such wild directions, you never know what’s coming. The…

ROLE SPOTLIGHT! Rites of Descendancy Casting Call
We have some mentions of roles that haven’t been getting attention for our newest casting call for Rites of Descendancy, our upcoming fantasy filled audio drama! The casting call is linked below, so check out this post for roles that need a little more love!
First up, we have Priyala, a 19 year old who suffers from eldest child syndrome. We’re looking for an actor of South Asian/Southeast Asian descent! The characters pronouns are she/her, but the actor’s pronouns can be anything, as long as you’re comfortable with the role!
Next up, we have Saagnika, who can definitely be described as the ‘mom friend’. We’re looking for an actor of South Asian/Southeast Asian descent for this role, and again, she uses she/her pronouns, but the actor’s pronouns can be anything!
Then, we have Maon, a straight faced character who prefers bluntness over dilly-dallying. We’re looking for someone with an Irish/Celtic accent, but we’d also accept Scottish or generic fantasy! This character uses they/them pronouns.
Next is Ezra, a spicy rebellious young adult with a pension for trouble. We’re looking for a nonbinary, POC/BIPOC actor for this role, and the character uses he/they pronouns themself!
Last but not least is Luka, the younger brother of Leonardo, an 18 year old with high aspirations and a thirst for knowledge. We’re looking for a transmale actor for Luka, and the character uses he/him pronouns.
We’re so grateful for all the auditions we’ve had so far, and we can’t wait to hear more! Please be sure to share if these roles sound interesting to someone you know! Don’t forget to follow @ritesofdescendancy for updates!

Syntax at Swampcon in Gainesville, Florida!
HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT, EVERYONE!
As you may have seen on our Twitter, we have been invited as guest panelists to SwampCon, a large multi-media con taking place at the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida! We are SO thrilled to be a part of a convention, and are the ONLY audio drama/podcasters being invited to participate!
Stella "Rowan" Odom, creator and producer of Syntax, will be presenting a panel with a few of our voice actors and technical crew from Syntax! Our panel will be titled "Horror In Audio: How to Scare Your Mind" and will focus on SFX and the world of horror audio dramas! We will be showing how we create some of your favorite monster noises from the ground up, as well as using examples from other audio dramas to really SELL the horror aspect with audio only!
Not only that, but our voice actors will be speaking on how it feels to voice in the horror sphere, and how to sell the emotion of being scared out of your mind! There will also (hopefully) be a Q&A portion at the end!
The panel will be in the Auditorium of the Reitz Union Center on the University of Florida campus in Gainesville, Florida, on March 25th at 6pm EST.
If you're unable to attend in real life, we will be streaming it to our YouTube here! The panel will be taking place on Saturday, 3/25 at 6pm EST! https://t.co/MlGXOxXAQd
We are so excited to be panelists at this event, and cannot wait to show you some of our production, as well as bringing more attention to audio dramas as a whole!
