I love your work so much!!!! May I pretty please have like... the primarchs (as many as you're cool with writing, but pretty please include Angron) on vacation with their beloved? Totally cool if not, and I'm sorry if requests are closed!!

I've only written three primarchs for this because honestly I didn't know where it was gonna go, but I may revisit it and write more

Primarchs on vacay ~♡

Includes: Angron of course, Guilliman, Dorn

Angron: beaches...generally aren't the best idea for the Nails because sand irritates them, but here? Here, it's got cliffs, several caves and yeah, he supposes the view is quite nice with its turquoise waters crashing steadily against the rocks below. He stays up mostly on the cliffs, but you convince him to come and stand in the water with you eventually. He gets up to his thighs before he stops, waves gently swaying around him as he watches you back closer to the shore, something warm curling in his chest as you smile at him.

Guilliman: Roboute looks like he's at peace for once, reclined against the beds that you'd pushed together, it's not actually the most comfortable for him - still too small, but you'd never guess it with the way he snorts in his sleep and mumbles something about a bull. You smile when you nudge him awake eventually - nudging meaning sitting on him because that man is out to the world - and he returns the look, sleepily content as could be. He concedes to go with you down to the ocean baths, where he sits in the deepest part, the water barely covering his lap as he sits against the wall, waves crashing against his back.

Rogal Dorn: He's peering through the masses of pebbles, occasionally picking up one or two and inspecting it before dropping it back amongst the rest. You watch him from your towel, the sun just beginning to set against the horizon. He's been doing it all day, when he wasn't in the water with you, or hoisting you into the air so you could get a better look at the small cave high in the sandstone cliff behind you, he was looking. You smile, looking back to the horizon as the skies turn brightly coloured, admiring the glitter of the water. He appears beside you a few minutes later, something in his hand. He wordlessly offers it to you. A smooth, brown pebble and a piece of rounded sea glass. You smile and joke about how he found treasure, his lips curl just barely and he points to the cloudy glass, "it matches your eyes," he says. Indeed it does, and the pebble - it matches his.

street racer! rin who's well known not only for his smooth drifting and steel concentration on the roads, but also for his foul mouth and short fuse. his temper isn't something to be toyed with - but sometimes, these newbies just don't know about it (which seems impossible, given his authority among the streets that makes everyone shudder) or are simply dumb, with the way they want to try and rile him up.

street racer! rin, who already has the worst frown etched into his sharp features, doors of his metallic navy chevrolet courvette slamming as he get out of the drivers seat. he's tall n strapping as he approaches the other car, a glitter to his turquoise eyes and perspiration gleaming along the back of his neck. there's a crazed look in his eyes, adrenaline steaming off him in waves as he nearly hauls the other guy out of the vehicle. "that's how you want to fucking play? huh? fuck right off. son of a bitch." he snarls, slams the guy (who, by the way, looks no older than nineteen - but the ravenette doesn't seem to care) against the side of the car and gets ready to swing.

street racer! rin, who does many not necessarily favorable things - but when he wants his dopamine rush, he does it fair. he knows that his way of getting his fill is dangerous enough - and that there's a pair of open, warm arms and lovesick eyes waiting for him back in his roppongi penthouse - or, if he gets lucky, standing by the finish line and looking out for him to reach it first. that's why no matter how good it feels, he makes sure to come back to you in one place. and no fucking dipshit trying to play dirty, purposely getting way too close to grazing the rear of his sportscar and trying to leave it tumbling to the side, will get away for stopping him.

street racer! rin, who lands the first punch that's enough to leave the kid stumbling to the side, blood splattering onto the concrete, but the white noise dies down as soon as he feels sharp nails digging into his bicep - a familiar voice reaching his ears. he whips around, frenzied eyes searching for yours, and it's almost visible, the way his shoulders slump and broad frame relaxes upon the sight of you. "stop it," you breathe, heat still red on your cheeks as you drag him away, instead grabbing his face to pull him down for a messy, needy kiss. he nearly groans against your mouth, hands firmly resting on your ass to pull your frame as close to his as it can physically get. "y'won. made me proud, as always." you whisper, hot against his parted lips - and the cold sweat that crashes down his body is better than anything he's ever felt.

street racer! rin, who has you folded in half in his backseat barely fifteen minutes later. deep grunts bounce off the fogged up windows, air thick with lust and the leather squeaks as your clammy skin drags along it. his pace is relentless, hips rutting up into yours so heavily it makes your head spin and thighs burn from the way he has you spread so nicely - hamstrings pressed flush against his chest, one hand wrapped around your throat and the other pushing your ass higher up, creating an angle that makes you cry. "mhm- just like that. fuck." it's low and guttural, searing on your skin as he presses an open mouthed kiss to your jaw, already bruised with his need and affection. "my good luck charm. knew you'd be there." he snaps his hips against yours, tilts his pelvis so that his cock buries so deep in your cunt, you almost feel him in your guts. you whimper and give him a teary eyed look as well as an urgent nod, at loss of words from the rough treatment he gives. Inej-I think purple when she was in ketterdam and then blue/green/turquoise shades when she began sailing

Nina & Jesper- any colour under the sun, sometimes at the same time. They would love glitter but I don’t think they would have acrylics cos it would get in the way

Wylan- maybe black or dark green/blue. It would always be chipped no matter when he put it on and also he would make his own nail polish in his lab

Matthias- wouldn’t initially but would be broken down by Nina. He’d probably wear neutral colours or really light blue. He might wear the glitter coating but without any nail polish underneath

💅🏻 ~Manicure Monday~ 💅🏻

Hi everyone! The temperature is finally warm enough where I feel comfortable wearing pastels and bright colors on my nails. I have another new pink to try, but I decided to take a break from pink after wearing two different pinks in a row during April. Today I have a lovely lilac polish to show you. It’s called Polly Want a Lacquer? from OPI’s Fiji Collection that was released in Spring/Summer 2017. If that name sounds familiar, it’s because I first tried it out when I did my skittle manicure for Easter, which you can see here. But I only wore it on two nails, so I wanted to wear it by itself and give it a proper review.

Sunlight:

Shade:

This color is a nice regular lavender that doesn’t have too much pink, blue, or gray in it – it’s the perfect light purple. I don’t think it’s a great color on me because my skin has warm undertones and it would look better on someone whose skin has cool undertones, but I still like it anyway. I think a shimmery version of this would be really pretty. You definitely need a second coat in order to make it opaque because the first coat was very thin and I could still see my nails through it. The formula was a little runny, so you don’t want to put too much on the brush or get too close to your cuticles, or else you’ll have a goopy mess on your hands (literally). But even though it was on the thin side, I appreciated that it was self-leveling and fairly easy to apply.

After I was done, I added a topcoat called Fanta-seas by Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear on my ring fingernails. It has a clear base with green, blue, and iridescent hexagon glitter in it. I love purple and turquoise together, so I was excited to try this combination and I’m very pleased with how it looks! It would also look pretty layered over a bunch of other pastel colors. I was going to wear it for Easter, but I didn’t end up using it so I think it will be great for Easter next year instead.

I have two more new colors to review, so stay tuned!

Bea’s nails: 2022 edition!

So over the past twelve months I have decided to treat myself with a new nail look every four weeks or so, just to help take pride in my appearance, so I’ll stop biting the darn things, and also so I can have a fun little spa day to treat myself with. My nail tech is such a talented woman, I’ve been with her since I was eight years old, and she’s been helping me through this new awesome journey with some beautiful patterns.

Also should out to the harem for helping me pick colours and patterns sometimes!

January and February:

I actually had that first set done for Christmas of 2021, but I kept the design for the entirety of Jan! I love the dark blue and that snowflake design is so cute. But look how short they were!! (Also no my thumb is not that short, it just bends at a horrendous angle. Hyper mobility check-)

The February nails were the first ones I’d ever had done that weren’t for a special occasion, and I absolutely loved them. (I might have that design again at some point.) I love how simple but elegant the triangle is, and that nude is quite flattering.

March and March:

We had a minor setback after I chewed them all off mid March, but there are always bumps in the road on every journey. I call the first set my ‘bi’ set, even though I personally am not bi and the colours are ever so slightly off. But they were still so much fun!

The yellows will always be a favourite, I remember as soon as she got the colour in she thought of me because it’s been my favourite colour since I was a tot, and the colour was called BumbleBea! They were a mat finish instead of the usual gel shine, and I didn’t really like that as much, but it’s always good to try new things and I loved the design, and the colour really is just gorgeous.

April and May:

Okay so these are some of my faves, design wise. I wasn’t expecting to love that green as much as I do, but I was like a “must have” after the first time. And as you’ll see that pastel pink and blue stuck around for awhile. This pattern was just so fun too-!

Just look at the length on those May nails! The golden foil was so pretty, and like I said in the above point, I fell in love with her pastel collection, but especially the pink and blue. I can’t pick a favourite between these two sets, they’re both brilliant.

June and July:

Birthday nails!!! I definitely think concerning designs, my June nails were my absolute favourites. We picked the colours based on my birthday dress, which was satin sage, and my new watch, which was rose gold. Like I’m sorry but just look at those things, to quote the corn kid, ‘I can’t imagine a more beautiful thing’. Ahhh I want them again so bad.

My July nails might look a little plain in comparison to the previous ones I’ve had, but literally as soon as I sat down at the table my eyes fell to that turquoise glitter and I was like “oh I gotta have that”. And because it’s such a bold choice, we decided to go simple for the other nails, which was definitely the right thing to do because look how pretty they are! Plus the length, I think this was the first time I’d gone the whole four weeks without chipping or nibbling at them.

August and September:

Apologies for the weird angles in this photo, I don’t know why I was making a claw-. The blue and pink make their return one final time for the summer! I love the little criss-cross pattern on the middle finger. And that pink-tinted gold really stuck out to me too, they really were so pretty. (And so long!)

My August nails actually got so long that they were starting to hurt a little by the time I was due to have them done, so we took a considerable amount off of my Sept nails and they’re still super long! These were still a nice bright yellow, but more toned down as autumn rolls in and summer fades off. I loved the gold foil on the index finger too. So many people hate foil prints and I’m like what?? I think it’s so pretty, and super shiny.

October and November

So some explanation. For Halloween I dressed up as Dorothy this year, I went to scarefest with my best friend and we were the centre of attention (what can I say, it’s the Sebastian in me). Unfortunately right before I had these nails done, my index nail actually broke while I was putting my shoes on, which explains the length issue. But they’re still super pretty!! I loved the bows.

These. Nails. Are. So. Cute. We all know I love this blue. A week before I had these painted, I had to have a surgical procedure on my hip, and I wasn’t allowed to wear nail polish. After my procedure I had a bit of a breakdown concerning the pain, and as old habits tend to die hard, I nibbled them all off before I had the chance to get them repainted (which usually encourages me not to bite them). However, my nail tech worked her magic and managed to give me the most beautiful winter nails with a really cool ‘sweater’ texture! I love them! (And I didn’t mind the mat as much this time).

December:

And we come full circle with my Christmas nails of 2022, which aren’t actually very Christmassy. I’m going on vacation for three weeks over the Christmas and new year period (and missing my one year anniversary with my girlfriend 😭), so I settled on a mix of summery vibes, and some fun Christmas bows! These are actually so cute, and I’m obsessed with this pink and the glitter together.

I had so much fun going on this new journey for 2022, and coming home with a new nail design never failed to brighten my month. I think my top three would be June, August and potentially May, but like- those December 2022 nails? Oh they’re just so lovely.

A glint of a sheathed sword, your white teeth glittering in the moonlight like jewels. Like blood diamonds dug out of the ground and handled with fingers stained with the earth. Dark, deep soil, rich; the type of dirt that worms itself underneath your fingertips and won’t budge, no matter how many times you hurt yourself digging underneath the nails with your fingers. The type of soil that exists in Nairobi, laden in the soybean fields, probably been resting there unperturbed for a lifetime. A deep sigh. “What are you thinking about over there?” A curious voice snaps me out of the fantasy, green stalks and sunshine simmering across the ground abandoned. “Not much...” I replied quietly, voice sticky with the heat. Except it wasn’t hot. We were in Sierra Nevada, and it was a cool evening, about 66 Fahrenheit or so. Thrust deep into the mountains, both staring wordlessly into the depth of Lake Tahoe. It was around 5pm, so still light, and I could feel his blue eyes boring into the side of my face. The lake was gorgeous - it went on endlessly, turquoise water backdropped by tall, black mountains I was convinced were there to protect us. I wasn’t sure what from. “I’m thinking about you.” I said, distantly, watching his head jerk towards me from the corner of my eye. “How come?” He asked softly, a small grin starting to line his face. “I was writing about you.” I replied, turning then to face him; to drink in his smile, his frame - his hair, his mouth, and the way the checked shirt he was wearing was tucked lazily into his jeans, like he’d given up on dressing himself halfway through the act. He laughed, a rare, gorgeous occurrence, his light voice flitting across the lake. “You don’t have any paper.” I grinned, then - couldn’t help myself. He was infectious. “I don’t need paper.” I said, gently. “I can hold it in until I find some later, as long as you don’t distract me.” I suppose he took that as a challenge. He went silent, probably deciding the best way to do it, before grabbing me underneath my arms and lifting me into the air. I gasped, the air hitting my throat like powdered snow, and started to scream. He was slowly inching my body towards the water, which now looked much less beautiful, and a lot more cold. “Please, please, please-” I giggled, flailing my feet around, desperate to avoid any part of me touching the lake. He remained steady, arms strong and flexed. “If you keep screaming like that, I might have to drop you.” He whispered against my back, and I went quiet. “Now, I won’t throw you in - if you tell me what you were thinking.” He said smoothly, and I threw a bunch of expletives at him, since he knew how much I hated sharing my work. It was so embarrassing, to have your desires and observations laid out for another person, suddenly existing on earth and able to be dissected and ridiculed. More than that, I hadn’t told him I loved him yet, and I knew as soon as I articulated what I’d been ghost writing in my brain, my affection would be garish and obvious, an unsightly thing. I drew in a shaky breath, lungs still aching from laughter, and grabbed his arm. “Fine, fine, fine - I’ll tell you.” I said breathlessly, adrenaline blasting through my body. “But you have to promise not to laugh.” He lowered me to the ground, keeping a hand resting on my ribs, and replied: “I promise.”, in a tone so solemn I had to stop myself from jumping into his arms. The lake was glinting blue again, no longer a threat, and the air was settling on my body in a way that made me want to finally be vulnerable - to give it all up, in front of this man, the sun, the sandwiches saran wrapped in our bag and the cabin we’d go back to later. I realised I wanted to lay with him in there with this knowledge of my love woven into the air, absorbed into our skin and beating our hearts. I drew in a breath. “I was thinking about how I’d give a lung to marry you.” If he was freaking out, I didn’t know it. The only indication he was even listening to me was the feeling of his dark eyes boring into mine. “I was thinking about how I want to dance with you in the shower. I was thinking about how I want to go back to the cabin later and fall asleep with you. I was thinking about how I want to do everything with you, every day, until you’re so sick of me you can’t bear to look at me.” I whispered, my eyes downcast. “And I was thinking about soybean fields.” I said honestly, my heart finally slowing. He moved towards me wordlessly, lifting one of my hands into his, still not breaking eye contact. “I love you.” He said simply, and my body broke into a thousand pieces, porcelain shards shattering into the water. “But that doesn’t mean I’m not still throwing you into the lake.” I grasped his arms, and slowly inched backwards. “I hope you can swim.”

💅🏻 ~Manicure Monday~ 💅🏻

Hi everyone! This week I’m wearing a polish called Gelato on My Mind from OPI’s Venice Collection that came out in Fall/Winter 2015. It’s surprising that this color was created for the colder seasons because it’s much more appropriate for the spring in my opinion. It’s a lovely pastel blue crème that reminds me of robins’ eggs! 🪺

This spring, I’ve been stepping out of my comfort zone by wearing pastel colors in my outfits and on my nails. I’ve worn several different shades of turquoise and teal before, but this is the lightest variation of it that I’ve worn so far. I like it, but I thought the texture was a bit runny. It wasn’t the best formula I’ve ever applied, but it wasn’t the worst either. The first coat was noticeably streaky, so you definitely need at least two for opaque coverage. I might even add a third one in a day or two so that it lasts until Mother’s Day this weekend.

I decided to add a bit of sparkle to my ring fingers, so I layered Fanta-seas by Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear on top. It’s confetti glitter with green, blue, and iridescent flakes within a clear base. I wore it over a pale mint green for St. Patrick’s Day, and I love it as a topcoat on this color as well!
