My parents are getting a lot of mileage out of me being 20 for two more weeks. They’ve gone out drinking every day and night I’ve been home because they have a built in dd. Jokes on them, once I turn 21 they gotta learn how to Uber. Because I intend to get shitfaced.
Also I’m scared, my birthday falls on a Friday this year and I have a lot of friends that are a year older than me that all want to plan something. I might die. But it’ll be worth it.
Hopefully. My liver might explode.
Anyways, if anyone’s got any tips to survive, I’d appreciate them.

i’ve been so sick and tired since the concert so i forgot to update y’all. the weather delayed the concert by 3 hours so i turned 21 during All Too Well!!! literally right before the verse “he said it’s supposed to be fun, turning 21.” honestly it was a spiritual moment. i’ll never experience something like that again. "Why's Turning Twenty-One Inevitable?"
Twenty-one. The age of ripe maturity, The start of so called adulthood,
A point where I religiously looked up as a child who thought it's cool.
Now, I'm reluctantly, restlessly striding out of the adolescence wood,
Now, I'm at the end of the juvenile track and I'm standing here as a fool.
It's a milestone for almost every living person who yearns independence.
From parental confinement, young folks wanted to be uncuffed.
It's the time to build the foundation of the long run of an existence.
Upcoming pathways that we'd all conquer which are so rough, so tough.
Some are excited to turn they would be legal to alcohols and liquors.
For them, it's the period to do wild and crazy things to the most of hedonism.
Those are seems fun and indulging but not my own kind of youthful thirst.
By now, I should've been well equipped to do great things such as heroism.
I know coming of age into adulthood is such a universal thing,
I asked those who were once in that age of how was it feels,
Am I the one who would discover and find out it's meaning?
Am I seeking for an inspiration out of their past experiences and bills?
People are either pregnant or engaged or married or divorced,
Some are already graduates or still in college or on their first job,
Some move to another country or town that ended to no remorse,
Some are serving soldiers, in their own doors, on the career they love.
I'm already turning twenty-one but I wanted to turn seventeen again.
I don't want to be an adult, I just wished to reboot my highschool years.
To the fresh juvenility, I'm praying to the innocent when.
Back to the naive children, back to the clueless minors that were gone long eres.
It's the traditional time to self-sustenance and sovereignty.
It's the crown year, the coo-key, the time to be fully responsible.
Be prepared, be your own decision maker in the age of majority.

solitude, growth and calmness,,, or not?
when you turn 21, do you instantly feel like you are an officially adult? or do you still look for meaning in your life now more than ever because you are starting your life in twenties? do you have your life sorted out immediately or is there an instant flush of ideas, emotions, and perceptions you get when you grow older.
is growth really associated with age and why do we put so much big deal with age? why do we associate numbers to growth? I don’t feel 17 when I turned 17 and as a matter of fact I still don’t feel like an adult even I’m already 21. I still yearn for my mother’s warmth, my father’s cooked dishes and is need of my sister’s expertise on technology. There’s still so much to learn and yet people see you as if you got your whole life planned out. I actually did once (wrote it on my notes) but now I don’t really know what do I do. am i more mature? did i have a character development or do I still hung onto habits that are deemed unflattering with regards to today’s societal standards? i for sure still possess a lot of problematic traits. i curse, complain, and is highly critical of other people which is why i think i am so hard on myself. it is because of the way i see other people that directly reflected onto my character as a person. which in turn made me to question my abilities, personality and my wholeness. do i meet their expectation of me or can i even still do the things i used to be good at. questions like that slips through my mind, though not always conscious, affects me.
turning 21 is weird.
