The fact that Cassandra got off scott-free for her actions while Varian got sent TO JAIL and STILL wasn't fully forgiven by the townsfolk after Rapunzel forgave him when Cass did FAR FAR WORSE than him and for LESS SYMPATHETIC reasons will never not annoy me.

I dont like Moon Cass. I used to think it was good but after a while i realized how bad the storyline was. Even outside of is, Cass is just..not great. I feel like Rapunzel needed a proper counterpart. Then i thought about my oc Kendrix and how i had an au where she appears in the show. I decided to go with that. So now Kendrix is full time disney!
There's several ways her story could go. For me the moonstone has the opposite of healing and the black rocks however the rocks can also be used for construction. And decay can be super helpful such as navigating areas with thick plantlife, and a defense against wild animals and bandits.
I also think maybe instead of the moondrop she has something called Earth Drop. Meant to unite both sun and moon.
Red: Earthdrop, i think green may be a bit too obvious for an earth based power. Then i looked at images of volcanos and realize it could be lava stone. It grants the user fire power and rock manipulation. It also could resemble gemstones like rubies, and clay.
Green: A more traditional depiction (plus my favorite color).
Blue: IMO the cyan looks ugly so in my canon the hair is a powder-blue/silver. Since Rapunzel's hair is GOLD it makes sense for her counter to have silver. She isn't evil she's struggling with her powers. I also think maybe she doesn't have the full moonstone opal, she only has a piece of it making her hair light blue. Crescent moon specifically. But also she uses the black rock to make her own gem showing it is much more than destructive force.
Decay: Kendrix struggles with controlling it. She learns that decay is juudt another part of life and she shouldn't be ashamed. Let's pretend it's Varian that sings to her :)
Purple: Again cyan looks bad and I want the hair to look more mystical. Purple is also an invert of Rapunzel. I think Kendrix wouldn't be happy with the prospect of having supernaturally long hair, especially when she's so active.

my villain arc is that fucking note. it has been years since ive watched the show or cared about the canon literally at all but i still feel my soul break just a little bit thinking about quirin go oh that letter said i was proud of you lol they just. they just REMOVED THE CONFLICT. THEY JUST UNDID IT. USED THE FIX-RELATIONSHIP INATOR ON THEIR ENTIRE ARC. WHAT THE HELL!!!!!!!!!!

Emotional...how? Rapunzel's completely fine, she's not overly emotional or even emotional at all. The only emotion she's feeling is happiness that Eugene's okay. I feel like this was supposed to be implying that Rapunzel nearly killing Cass is some big emotional moment for her but they just...failed. They failed so hard.
Also way to care about your "sister", Eugene.

My issue isn't with how popular or loved Fodlan is, but what FEH was supposed to be.
With FE Cipher, even if Fates and Awakening were very popular, we still had entire sets featuring FE6 characters. Ditto for FE4/5/8 (tfw a Bael got its own card).
CYL is a popularity contest, that much I understand.
And yet, I also understand FEH is supposed to be a celebration of the franchise itself - bla bla FEH is a main game because Vero is a paid DLC in Engage bla but would anyone really pay 60 bucks to play book 1 and 6 about Vero's story? Really ? If this is a main game , then the first warriors game is one too lol - so why are the same 3 games over represented ?
In Cipher, we had a Fates set, then a Jugdral set (featuring CIpher OCs?), then an Archanea set, then an awakening set, then a Valentia one, etc etc.
But if they follow the current FEH, it'd be one fodlan set, one thracia set, one fodlan set, one awakening set, one fodlan set, one tellius set, one fodlan set, one elibe set, one fodlan set etc.
I really get how popular units/games will always sell and the fan favourites are always represented, I played through 2 Tales gacha games lol, Links had basically a bajillion of Leons and Yuris while poor Caius barely existed, and Rowen never got a premium unit!
CYL is a fan event - for sure - but beyond CYL, it's just FEH that tires me - it's not a celebration of the FE series anymore, it's just a cashgrab to take money from some fans using their current obsession (Fateswakening in Year1-2, Fodlan now) so while it never concerned me in the first few years, I dgaf and moved on, wondering if the units I like would ever get a thing (and they did! Saias was released for free lol) but now with the state of powercreep the game has?
You have to roll for units, to get their skills and fodder them to units you care about, and even then, they might not be able to clean PVE content - I like when things are challenging, sure, but the last Seer's Snare was a cruel wake-up : even with the newest shiny skills and whatnot, Caineghis cannot compete with duo!Anna. P!Naesala has the WTA against them? Who gives a fig, he dies on initiation.
Hegemongard was just a prelude to what FEH would become lol - even if, with investment, old units could still put up a fight against her, but you had to get dedicated team to counter her.
Now? With a team with W!Mitris, L!Alear and A!Elincia? Good luck tanking anything lol - sure, Tina is a godsend and I find if hilarious how this random nobody from FE5 is supposed to counter the crazed current meta, but it's the same issue - sell ridiculous units, and sell ridiculous counters.
It's the essence of a gacha game.
Maybe the next A!Caineghis or maybe a L!Caineghis will make the character relevant again - at least if you want to play and use him, but... as far as FEH is concerned, no one gaf about Cain, so he might have gotten a refine and yet he'll not get another unit. Forgive him in you want to play PVE content - or roll for new premium units and field him as a cute mascot.

While the show did tend to sideline Eugene in favor of Cass, at the same time, the show does that whether she’s in the episode or not. Like in “Be Very Afraid” where Cass is off in the woods somewhere, and the writers decided the most interesting thing they could do with Eugene in episode about the characters’ biggest fears is to make his fear a freaking COWLICK. Incredible
I was going to make a post about how Eugene deserved better in TTS but I guess I'll just talk about that here.
But ya, it seems that the writers didn't know what to even DO with Eugene so they just use him for comic relief and nothing else. The only thing resembling an arc that Eugene gets is...finding out he's a dark prince? Which, I don't really know how to feel about since while it doesn't technically contradict anything...it also feels like an addition that a fan-fiction would add (which adds to the fan-ficy feel TTS has as a whole).
Plus they barely ever do anything with that concept anyway after it's revealed. With Cassandra the Eugene sidelining is at it's worst since the show constantly pushes Eugene to the side so it can shine it's light on it's new favorite OC. It gets especially bad when the show sidelines Eugene's romance with Raps in favor of focusing on Cass's friendship with her, which, considering that Eugene was a main character in the movie, seeing him constantly get sidelined in favor of the show's new favorite OC gets real annoying real fast.
Again, I like TTS, but man, as a sequel to the movie...while it's far from bad, there are some decisions it made that were...questionable, to say the least.

Kendrix in Tangled the Series
While Kendrix always have a special place in Ben 10 lore I also decided to put her in Disney, with a few adjustment. I won't follow the events of season 3 cuz I don't think it's as good as I thought. So instead of Moon Cass Kendrix has the moon instead.
Kendrix's tale begins when she encounters Flynn and Punzie during the I Have A Dream sequence. After helping them she accompanies on their journey because she wants to go to Corona festival. In the series she becomes an apprentice to Cassandra and befriends Varian. But after ALL THAT, she decides to leave the Kingdom to try to find peace only to get caught up in the search for the Moon Drop.
In season 3 what happens is Kendrix & Varian (who's still a villain) comes into possession of the moon drop but she only gets a sliver of its power (by sheer irony her piece is a form of a crescent shaped jewel). Zhan wants that remaining piece plus Punzie's powers. Cass is explicitly brainwashed but only for a time until Kendrix manages to free her. While Cass recovers, Kendrix takes over as the Swordsman of the group, and Varian becomes Tiri's henchman. Kendrix learns that a small change can make a huge difference - she just meeds to have confidence.
Cuz the encanto maker doesn't have bright cyan not like it's a bad thing I went with Silvery gray and a pale blue for her power mode. Also used dark blue for the dress; i think canon looks ugly I'm sorry the bright ass cyan hurts to look at. Also Kendrix and Varian are a couple bc he's the ONLY character I actually see her as a romantic match. It's more friends to enemies to friends to lovers yeah that sort of thing.

i usually Dislike quirin and varian content just bc Fuck All Dads In This Show but your posts are the only father son duo that i accept
they're like awkward roommates. they love each other, but quirin kind of missed out on being there during the time that varian was forming into his own person and he comes back and of course varian loves his dad, but they're kinda beyond the point of having a Normal Close Father Son Relationship. varian's gone from idolizing a distant father to clinging to his dad who he thought was a good as dead, and after that fades they're just kind of stuck in this weird middle zone of like
"oh uh, you know too many of my flaws to see me as an unshakable father and role model."
"and i've um. grown beyond my childhood of viewing you as this force of nature. Without you, I should add."

YEAH EXACTLY EXACTLY they just make me insane because they’re both Trying but the breakdown in their relationship happens because they’ve always been talking past eachother because they just do not know how to meet the other at their level
and just. ignoring the shows canon entirely and just having a picture in my head of them very very slowly trying to understand eachother and tiptoe around the elephant in the room as they try to rebuild such a broken relationship because they both still LOVE EACHOTHER is my hobby. it is my number one skill. i am the god of this series now.

This feels like such a nitpick sometimes but sometimes this line really bugs me. It comes out of nowhere for me, cause we know absolutely nothng about Zhan Tiri's backstory besides "ancient demon who wants the ultimate power and hates Corona". This line feels like it should pack a punch and recontextualize something but it just...doesn't. Cause we know absolutely nothing about Zhan Tiri. All it does is create more questions than answers.
