Tsukishima had always known that Yamaguchi struggled with his self-confidence. But he never realized just how deep those issues ran until he found him crying in their shared bedroom.

"Yamaguchi, what's wrong?" Tsukishima asked, his voice laced with concern.

Yamaguchi looked up at him, tears streaming down his face. "I don't know, Tsukki. I just feel so worthless sometimes," he said, his voice barely above a whisper.

Tsukishima's heart ached as he watched his friend struggle with his emotions. He had always admired Yamaguchi's kindness and determination, and it pained him to see him in so much pain.

"You're not worthless, Yamaguchi. You're one of the most important people in my life," Tsukishima said, taking Yamaguchi's hand in his own.

Yamaguchi looked up at him, his eyes filled with surprise. "Really, Tsukki? You mean that?" he asked, his voice shaking.

Tsukishima nodded. "Of course, Yamaguchi. You're my best friend, and I value your presence in my life more than anything else," he said, his voice gentle and reassuring.

Yamaguchi smiled through his tears, a small glimmer of hope shining in his eyes. Tsukishima wrapped his arms around him, pulling him into a tight embrace.

"It's okay to not be okay, Yamaguchi. I'm always here for you, no matter what," Tsukishima said, his words filled with sincerity.

Yamaguchi buried his face into Tsukishima's shoulder, allowing himself to cry freely. Tsukishima held him close, offering him the comfort and support he so desperately needed.

As they sat there, Tsukishima realized that he didn't always have to be the strong one. Sometimes, it was okay to be vulnerable and show his emotions. And if it meant helping Yamaguchi through his own struggles, then it was more than worth it.

ughhhhh the way that tsukishima and yamaguchi pull off their first ever serve and block and we get a glimpse into tsukki's thoughts at that moment and he isn't thinking about how sick it felt to get that stuff block or excited about making the point itself, no, he's remembering snapshots of yamaguchi—from the first "lame" and how he started off so small behind him, to the steps yamaguchi has taken to run full speed ahead of tsukki, surpassing him not in skill but drive and passion and "cool," to the courage it took for yamaguchi to stand up to tsukki and throw that hated "lame" back in his face, and now they're here standing on the court having pulled of what is considered volleyball's perfect play together and tsukki's response to that feat, to those memories of previously getting left behind by this person he once probably saw as beneath him, is to run straight back toward him and celebrate with a smile
