the menaces in the bedroom:
Kallamar as the second eldest spent many centuries living alone with Shamura. They know each other like the back of their hands (tentacles? claws?) and have their little routines and rituals, in the form of bdsm-tentacle-play-shibari. Narinder likes a good sensory deprivation and knifeplay, and they is the most unpredictable member of the band, capable to reverse the roles in an instant if their mates don't pay enough attention. Narinder made his ultimate goal to have all his siblings helplessly kneeling before them and to surprise Shamura into unwilling submission one day. He is the sibling with the highest stamina with Leshy.
Leshy, as a good youngest brother, is very attentive to his siblings' needs and likes to observe and listen. He's the kind of voyeur that will want to see the action from every angle while still telling his siblings to not pay attention to him. Very awkward at first but the others are used to it now... mostly xD While he is learning, he likes to let his mates take the lead and needs to be reassured he is doing good all the time. Leshy tried to let Kallamar lead at the beginning, but his less assertive temper quickly bored him and pushed him to take the matter into his own hands xD Once he became more settled in the poly, Leshy proved to be an enthusiastic leader-mate and will regularly challenge his siblings for sport.
Shamura is the ultimate service switch. If their siblings want to try or ask anything, they're the mate to go to. They're a very tolerating partner most of the time, but can have their moments when they can display very possessive and dominating behavior, especially on days when their siblings are being little uncooperative shits x) It is no surprise that they have a vast knowledge of the kama-sutra and they knows by heart all the likes and dislikes and weaknesses of their siblings. They can make them submit in mere seconds with their webs, a slight venom injection, or with just their smooth talk. They're basically the alpha of the group and an amazing and reassuring leader-mate, knowing how far they need to push their siblings to their best performance and give them the most satisfying experience. Needless to say that all the bishops know that challenging Shamura in bed is an already lost battle xD except for Narinder who still hopes to taste the alpha role one day x)

One of the most fundamentally interesting things to me about YJ and writing fic, specifically, is how the blame changes hands depending on the story. On whose perspective you're writing from. On whose story it is at a given moment. The very thing I dislike about viewers missing the point becomes so fascinating to me from within the narrative. Who are these characters when seen through the eyes of their peers?
Who does Jackie become? If you're Shauna, she's the love of your life, and your greatest rival, and the other half of your soul, and the person you blame for your dead dreams. If you're Van, she's the respected captain who earns none of your respect in the woods, the one who left you to die without blinking, the easiest target for teenage malice. If you're Natalie, she's competition for affection, the blabbermouth who can't leave well enough alone, the hands putting themselves to no good use. If you're Jackie? You're just a girl. You're so tired. You're so scared. You're losing face a little more every day, and you're made of despair, and you can't even trust your best friend. It's not your fault. It's not your fault. It's not your fault.
Who does Lottie become? If you're Natalie, she's your direct foil, the splinter under the edge of your thumbnail, the smart mouth to match your own, the confusing amalgamation of normal friend and mad ritual. If you're Misty, she's the first shred of obvious power in months, a leader who might need to be nudged back into line, a fascinating exercise in hitching your wagon to the right star early on. #cant believe i missed this one when i specifically rewatched the whole season for this :')#trigun#vash#vash the stampede#trigun stampede#trigunedit#mine#gif:trigun#so i thought the reflective effect appeared in more episodes but it was only episode 1#and then it kinda reappears when vash is not vash anymore in eps 11-12#the first episode had a lot of bright lights (desert sun and then the lights from the plants)#which made the reflection seem natural to happen but it was interesting it happened quite a lot as a storytelling tool almost#like it helped to push across this introduction of vash bc at first we dont know anything about him (first time fans like me heh)#so they hide his eyes in important moments including his first appearance#and it goes possibly for how that reflection is how vash doesnt know meryl or roberto yet so it takes a while for him to trust them#and see whats their deal#i like that 7th gif with comparison of rosa beside vash.. you can see her go on a whole journey with just her eyes#but vash's thought process is hidden until the last moment where he doesnt want to fight the julai guys who want to take him#the last one is so creepy.. he's an empty husk! there could be pain or numbness or multiple other emotions in his eyes#but the glasses put them behind a barrier and only the movement tells us more that hes floating there trapped emotionless#its so sad.. uff i love this show
