“Floyd, could you sing to me?”

The big brother looked up from where he was tucking the blanket under Branch’s feet. “Sure thing,” he said with a light smile. “What would you like to hear? A lullaby?”

“I don’t know,” Branch mumbled as he nestled his head into the pillow. “You choose.”

Floyd could still see a crease of worry between his baby brother’s brows. He softly brushed a thumb over it in a silent reassurance that everything was going to be okay before he turned around to reach for their dad’s old guitar.

I think Floyd would often sing to Branch to get him to fall asleep, usually the songs and lullabies their parents sang when the older four were still little.

I know in the movie it seemed like they all left right after their fight, but I like to imagine that they just stormed off to cool off and that they actually left in the following days. And that this was the last song Floyd sang for Branch that night. :')

Some developmental sketches for ohm and the ineffable sea

Plastic golem, milk-apes and the kappa are from the radiation and plastic-poisoned world beneath Uton, the gaoled sun (there are about 7-9 suns in the ineffable sea, sources of different magic and all said to be siblings of one another)

Demons are from another sun, which is partially exploded

The other creatures are from Ohm, under the sun Xol (creator of the celestials and dragons)

THANKS!!! EEE!!! im so glad ppl like bugstuck im living for it :D bug love time!!!! ALSO. i think davepeta rules sosososos much i know this redesign is pretty elaborate but i wanted 2 really get into it... the front of her wings is orange and the back has green moon and stars. the idea that nepeta, who wouldve died a caterpillar ;-; gets her wings via transformation and fusion this way is SO BEAUTIFUL. I THINK. and daves finds his own identity in sharing their life and together they're so full of joy and love one another and themselves so much... beautiful character 10/10 love him!!! i imagine the gradients here on the wings and hair glowing also : ) (he/she/they pronouns for davepeta here btw hehehe)
