Unpopular Opinion

After reading the plot and watch a bit of clips from Your Lie in April and Tokyo Revengers, My imagination became wild. I started to imagine that, few years after Kaori's death, Kosei is now 26 and is now a successful pianist. At some point, Tsubaki dumps him and Ryota dies in a car accident. Kosei is now single and heartbroken. On his way to the train staition and waiting for the train, someone pushed him and he landed on the train tracks. As he was was about to get hit by the train, he suddenly teleports exactly 12 years into the past where he was in middle school. At first, he thought it was a dream, but then he went with it. While reliving his middle school years, he suddenly remembers something, Kaori. He then went to see her and after seeing her, he suddenly cries after seeing her for such a long time and the two began to hang out much often. Kosei thought that God was giving him a second chance to see Kaori again, even if it's just temporary. He then bumps into Ryota and divulges the exact date he and Kaori will die. When they shake hands, Kosei is suddenly transported back to the present, creating a time paradox where Ryota survives and is now a scientist and has studied a cure for Kaori's illness. Ryota deduces that every time they hold hands, Kosei is transported 12 years into the past. Using his knowledge from the future, Kosei vows to spend as much time with Kaori as possible and maybe even save/cure her one day.

My unpopular opinion is if the characters weren't so freaking hot, very few people would be as crazy about the series as they are. A good chunk of the fanbase only care about sexualizing the characters and not about the story.

WOOHOO MATCHUPS!! ok uhh for my personality i would say i'm an extroverted introvert, if that makes any sense? i don't mind hanging out around people, i enjoy hanging out around people i like, but sometimes my social meter can go down reaaaal fast. i don't like socialising that much, but if i need to or want to i can converse pretty well (i guess). im quite blunt, im not afraid to say what i think needs to be said, as i feel that hiding things only leads to more problems. i know when things don't need to be said and when to keep my mouth shut tho. i usually balance out the people i'm hanging out with: if they're all quiet introverts im the talkative social one, if they're all loud and chaotic im the quiet one with common sense. idk why i do it its just easier to balance things out, it comes naturally to me. I'm also usually the protective one of the group, if someone looks at my friends funny i'll be the first one to glare back, or shield my friends from them. heck i'll even pick a fight if i need to, come at me bro. when it comes to standing up for others, all my shyness and social awkwardness goes out of the window lmao. i can also be a bit too sensitive at times, my emotions are quite strong, leading me to cry even though i definitely do not feel the need to 💀. it's humiliating honestly but i just ignore it and act like there's no tears at all. other than that i can usually push my emotions to the side and think logically, the best i can in that situation anyways

for my interests and hobbies, i like gaming and consuming fictional media, mostly manga and anime, although i don't mind other genres as well. my current hyperfixations are high&low (duh) and tokyo revengers, so u can kinda see a theme going on huh... i'm also a huge music enjoyer, i can listen to anything (except for love ballads. idk why i just can't rlly stand listening to them), but my fav genres are pop, kpop, and jpop. I'm also an actor! I'm aiming to get into the entertainment industry in the future, although my parents want me to take a more "solid" degree first just so i'm able to support myself financially (they're not wrong honestly). i think i'm pretty good at acting teehee (i'm rlly good at lying too :P).

there are many things i dislike, so many that i can't even think of any, but i guess the most important ones are discrimination like homophobia/transphobia, sexism, racism, etc. ik it seems like a no brainer, but i absolutely cannot accept a partner who does any of these. it's not that hard to be a decent human being. ive already mentioned most of the things i like up there, but others include cats, plushies, kuromi, food (i LOVE food. small stomach tho), and many more that i again cannot think of.

i hope this is enough info, lowkey feel like ive overshared so apologies for that, i've never done a matchup before 😅 thank you so much!

Binzo prefers people who are honest and upfront about their feelings and thoughts, and doesn’t really believe in sugarcoating things, so he would like that in a partner as well. This is a very unpopular opinion but I was genuinely disappointed to find that Yuzuha x Mitsuya did not get together 😞 (girly just had to brozone him 💀) I'd rather them over Draken x Emma ngl (never really liked them as a couple idk why) But Yuzuha having a fanclub full of girls, and scared of pretty men? I'm deffo on board with lesbian Yuzuha😎(imma just pretend she just had a deep admiration for Takemichi and not a crush 🫡) If only the manga was a bit longer, we could have had Yuzuha x Senju moments😫 maybe a spinoff just for the girls in Tokrev?(I know its very highly unlikely though 🥲)

Yeah I've seen a few people liking Yuzuha and Mitsuya together, me personally I've always been neutral on them but I actually did think they were gonna get together too (actually I thought Yuzuha and Koko were a couple at first but oh boy how wrong I was lmao). In a way I'm kinda glad they didn't get together though, idk I feel like if Yuzuha and Mitsuya had gotten together then most of her character would've been reduced to Mitsuya's girlfriend. I'm not saying anyone here would've done that but it is a pattern I've noticed in other fandoms.

Honestly lesbian Yuzuha would've been great to see though, she could've had a whole harem going on with her fan club. Actually imagine that all of them are in a romcom with Yuzuha meanwhile Yuzuha is in the drama and chaos of tokyo revengers.

one thing about tokyo revengers in animation version is that, these characters don’t look THAT dangerous at all. it’s like they [the animators] sugarcoating their act of violences - makes you feel at ease while watching them wrecking stuffs and people around like it’s a normal thing lol but ofc it’s just my unpopular opinion

CSM isn't as depressing as everyone says.

Don't judge me, I'm chapter 86 right now and I cried more while reading Tokyo Revengers than when reading CSM. The deaths are just too random for me to actually process them in a emotional way.

I like their dynamic as friends much more, and for me personally I just don't like shipping characters that have a really good relationship as just friends😭 mostly when their relationship is shown a lot, I don't feel like there needs to be anything more than that

Tokyo Revengers unpopular opinion: I'm a huge fan, or was a huge fan. But I can still be brutally honest about the quality of something regardless how much I love it. I dont make excuses for it knowing there are huge flaws. With that said I know I'm not the only one that doesn't understand what the hell is going on because the manga still has gaping plot holes that are left unanswered and seems they probably will be especially this late into it, when it's about to be concluded and finished. Many chapters were boring and convoluted and there's no reason to still have this many unanswered questions.

I've seen many people say "oh its all coming together now" but yet they fail to explain why or how because they also have no idea what the fuck is going on but don't want to appear stupid and aren't admitting that shit makes no sense or there was no point to some things that happened.

Too many characters were under used or overused, some were given clues to have a bigger role than they actually did which just was nonsensical. A good chunk of it was boring and it felt like pulling teeth at times. Especially with Takemichi's pea brain dumbass standing around like a mule. I forget that he's mentally supposed to be a man in his 20s in his younger body cause he's such an idiot. His character progression is flat and tbh he hasn't learned a damn thing of value.

I could go on and on but I'll stop here cause I'll get too worked up about it

It's just a bit of a mess tbh. It's a fun mess but a mess none the less. I think there was no reason to have so many named characters imo. It convoluted an already complex story so severely. Maybe it was bound to happen in a time travel type story. Maybe it's overcomplication. Idk idk. But takemichi is the most childish and he's the "oldest" in the past. He's just so...mid...and you're right he hasn't learned shit. I don't think of him at all when I think of the series.

This may be unpopular opinion but I don't really care about Hina. Like I don't hate her but I was never really interested her or really care what happened to her

Fair enough, I think I've heard a few others say similar things before. It probably just comes down to her personality and if people like that or not. I can see why she wouldn't stand out as much when you consider all the other characters in Tokyo revengers. I'd say I like Hina but that she isn't particularly one of my favourites or anything. It would've been nice if we could've gotten a bit more from Hina in the manga, or yk if she at least got a cover.
