Back in November while working on a fan comic I was struck with the idea of making a Danny Phantom and Rise of the TMNT crossover and I couldn’t get it out of my head. I was tagged by @sinvulkt for this 20 Questions for Writers ask game!
1. How many works do you have on AO3?
On AO3... i only have 12 currently. (On FFN however... I have 67 lol)
2. What’s your total AO3 word count?
107,857
3. What fandoms do you write for?
Primarily Marvel nowadays, specifically Doctor Strange (MCU)! But I've also consistently written for Danny Phantom, and also delved into Pokemon, Teen Titans, TMNT, Warriors Cats and Twilight back in the day... its a lot lol.
4. What are your top five fics by kudos?
Golden Gate's Heroes - a Venom and Ant-Man/MCU crossover from before NWH/Venom 2. It has 2,238 kudos as of posting!
Displaced Phantom - a DP and MCU crossover, 577 kudos
Stars Will Light the Way - What If...? Strange Supreme met America Chavez? The longest fic I've posted lol, 476 kudos
alive - an introspective look at Mewtwo, assuming the one from Detectice Pikachu is the same as the one from Pokémon: The First Movie, 420 kudos
through the multiverse - connected drabbles following the Guardians of the Multiverse from the first season of What If...? 329 kudos
5. Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?
I try to! Sometimes I might not see it or forget to reply if I don't reply right away lol, but I love engagement on my fics and I always want to make sure I thank everyone for reading!
6. What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
Uh. Hmm. I actually... don't know? Maybe one of my post-Infinity War pre-Endgame Doctor Strange fanfics, like Eidetic or death is an old friend? Just because they end with Infinity War and that was tbh a kinda angsty ending... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
7. What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
Probably has to be Stars Will Light the Way, tbh. Most of my fics are fairly "happy" tbh but so many are oneshots and anthologies, that this seems like the best pick.
8. Do you get hate on your fic?
I've gotten maybe one "hate" comment, just telling me my pacing was too slow for their liking or something like that lol. But generally, my audience has been very nice!
9. Do you write smut?
Nope!
10. Do you write crossovers?
OH YEAH!! A good chunk of my old fanfics on FFN were crossovers lol. Actually my first several fics were all crossovers I'm pretty sure. I love a good crossover...
11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not that I am aware of... and don't get any ideas folks!
12. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Um... no, I don't think so!
13. Have you ever co-written a fic?
Nope!
14. What‘s your all-time favourite ship?
Uhhhh.... hmmm.... its hard to say. I am very much a multishipper - I'll ship one guy with quite a few other characters if the dynamic could even conceivably work. But I also tend to prefer gen-fic or found family fics too...? But um. Uh. All-time favorite ship is probably Eddie/Venom. I will not elaborate further.
15. What’s the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?
Gosh ok it's this Blue Beetle fic, with Jaime from the Young Justice cartoon swapping places with Jaime from the movie. I just... idk how I want to end it so it's been sitting on my laptop, mostly untouched since like. September or October of 2023. Whoops...
16. What’s your writing strengths?
Idk lol, um... getting into the heads of the characters I write?? I've been told that I can capture certain characters really well, at least. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
17. What’s your writing weaknesses?
Fight scenes can be a little tough for me to write... but also. I procrastinate on writing sometimes, and i'm terrible at planning fics out fully before i start them... so if I don't write scenes and ideas down, they're gone, and then I don't know what to write for my fic, and then the fic never gets finished 🙃
18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?
Eh, depends on the language - I took enough Spanish to be able to pull it off, I think, and I also have a few coworkers who speak Spanish fluently who will make sure I'm doing it right if/when I use it. Other than that, I'm not sure if I trust Google Translate enough to write dialogue in any other language...
19. First fandom you wrote for?
Omg... apparently... it was a crossover between Danny Phantom and Warriors (the books about the cats)... I figured it would be Danny Phantom but that. That is hilarious to me. I really was a Warriors Cats kid....
20. Favourite fic you’ve ever written?
It's gotta be Stars Will Light the Way. Idk man, it just... it may not be as popular as Golden Gate's Heroes, but it's currently the longest fic I've ever written and published and FINISHED, and im so proud of that. The fact that even 400+ people liked it enough to give it a kudos... I wrote that fic for me, so to know others liked it too means the world to me.
I know you're supposed to tag people for these things, but. I always feel like I'm bothering people when I do. Even though some of my mutuals, I know y'all write fic... so if you see this and want to go for it, any of my mutuals or followers, go for it, consider yourself tagged!

5. What work of yours got more feedback than you expected?
so on the one hand, my danny phantom fics always get a lot of attention and it always leaves me a little surprised, but on the other hand, that fandom is very fic focused, so at the same time it Doesn't really surprise me when i get a lot of kudos for them. what surprises me more is how much other fandoms DON'T comment or bookmark or follow fics lol. i was seriously spoiled with those lol
as for a fic that's gotten more feedback, uhhhh hm. a couple of my dp fics have done better than i thought they would, yeah, but i also have this bleach fic that's in second person that seems to have come across really well, so i guess that one's the most surprising lol
aftershocks has done really well, but that's not surprising considering the talent that went into it, the fact we updated every week, and the word count, but it still baffled me as we were updating it how well it was doing lol
15. What WIP are you taking into next year with you?
definitely my rottmnt separated au (chapter 1 is posted on ao3 as sunset hues, jetpack blues (SHJB)) lol. ive been putting a lot of effort into it, more than i give most of my fics, tho i'm realizing now as i'm working more on planning i may have jumped the gun a bit and posted it a biiit early?? but also i wanted to post it on my birthday so i'm not so concerned about that kdshbfhdsf
when i post chapter 2 (which is basically done except for the final revision i need to give it), i'm gonna reread chapter 1 as well and make sure it's up to date with the minor stuff i left out bc i hadn't nailed down some specifics yet (but dw, it'll be Very minor and won't effect the plot lol)
besides that, i have oneshot prompts i wanna fill out and i have a fic in the works i'm calling Fallout, which is inspired by fall out boy songs (which ive been thinking about since like february/march when "love from the other side" dropped lol)
i also lowkey wanna try to get a fic done for danny phantom's 20th anniversary in april but idk how that's gonna go lol. i'm still very focused on ninja turtles
16. What’s your most common “Additional Tags” tag?
of my 54 works on ao3 Fluff seems to be my most used tag with 10 times, which is. lowkey a surprise LOL. Hurt/Comfort comes in second with 7 (tied with "not beta read" and a tag for a danny phantom fic event) and Angst is in third with 6 (barring the two that i'm not counting lol)
going by just my rise fics, first place tag goes to Donatello and Leonardo are Twins (TMNT) with 6 of my 8 fics (ao3 says 9, but one of them is aftershocks, which i won't include bc it's a collab) and only reason it's not all 8 is bc i didn't tag it in fics where it's not a main focus lol
29. Favorite line/passage you wrote this year?
hmmmm let's see.... okay what have i written this year....
oh god that's a lot more than i thought, uhhhh
i have a lot of stuff i Really enjoyed tbh. there's a fun little action sequence i wrote for a later part of SHJB that i liked (that i'll prolly have to rework a little), there's a few Other parts of my prewritten SHJB stuff i enjoy, there's a bunch of stuff in my rise august fills i really liked...
but i think for a single line/passage, i'll go with this bit from the beginning of my fic what's in a name? (which is also posted here on tumblr!!)
Donnie, not bothering to look up from his phone, flaps a hand in the air dismissively. “I keep all my anger bottled up in here,” he taps his chest, “and hope one day it will just kill me. Like a normal person,” he adds, as if what he just described is unequivocally a universal experience.
this entire piece was a lot of fun to write and there's some more silly lines in this i really enjoyed but i think this is the one i think about the most, like the exchange directly after this lol
Leo purses his lips and steeples his hands, holding this fingers to his mouth. “So that’s a yes to the mad, then.”
“Or it could be, like, the coo-coo for cocoa puffs type of mad!” Mikey chimes in, crossing his eyes and swirling a finger beside his ear. “Y’know, like British people say.”
“Ew,” Leo says, because that’s all that needs to be said about that.
and this line a little bit down from that
Raph’s next exhale is heavy, the burden of Atlas in his eternal torment. “Pizza Supreme, I wish.”

Tagged by @aobawilliams !! The very first line is technically SFW tho it is from a smut fic....
Pretty Boy / Trash of the Count's Family (a what if? smut fic for my long-fic)
He looks ever so pretty on his knees begging at him.
Playmates/ Megamind (a semi-canon divergent fic where i explore possible alien traditions and dynamics)
Wayne Scott, formerly Metro Man, can remember the day he realised that he was being an overwhelmingly large and obtrusive prick with a capital 'P' to the man who would go on to be known as Megamind (Or Megs as the man 'loathed' to be called).
"Oh My God, I'm Becoming My Father."/ DPXDC (a what if Jason Todd met Dani Phantom fic)
Jason is fairly sure that he'd never told anyone about his current safehouse; or at least nobody that would think it was a good idea to be knocking on his door at - he glances at the clock on the wall as he stalks through his living room, glad for once that Bruce drilled into him to have night vision in all his domino masks- two thirty in the morning.
Manipulate, Mansplain, Mentally Scar / Justice League (Justice League don't know about the Batfam au)
Jason is seriously wondering how Bruce put up with the Justice League sometimes since the skill difference was absolutely astounding to an almost laughable degree.
Toothache fic/ Danny Phantom (ghost king au - finally into WIPS now)
If the pain wasn't almost debilitating Danny would feel embarrassed telling Jazz he had a serious toothache.
Danny = Bruce Wayne Au/ DPXDC (title is self-explanatory)
Considering it was almost an entire year since he’d turned into a ghost (nearly eight months to be exact and it had been a week after his fourteenth birthday because Fenton luck was in a cosmic level war with Murphy's law for who could be more life-ruining) and he still hadn’t told his parents about the whole ghost thing, Danny was amongst those confused at the suggestion that left his very own mouth that he might need to tell his parents he was now the King of the Infinite Realms.
Leon gets yeeted and realises what dodging a bullet looks like / 2018x2012 TMNT crossover
Leon feels the need to clarify that this entire experience is not his fault - well it is in a roundabout sideways squint kind of way (meaning he touched something D told him specifically not to, but sue him he was curious what his twin was up to)- and despite being the twin with the portal sword powers he can’t quite explain how exactly he fell through a portal into… wherever this was.
Issue Found in Translation chapter 24 / TCF (og cale and KRS bodyshare fic)
Choi Han keeps himself firmly behind the young Patriarch and his children, one hand on the pommel of his blade the other resting at his side in a half-formed fist; fingers curling and uncurling in his agitation as he watched the sickly young man do his best to not look like he was struggling to hold his youngest child in his arm, whilst they moved throughout the poison Gardens.
Library / TCF (polysoos birthday week fic)
Kim Rok Soo, whilst a person who could not forget, often found that he failed to remember his childhood before the orphanage with any kind of consistent clarity.
Well Then.../TCF (What if Lee Soo Hyuk transmigrated into a vampire fic)

Fanfiction Review
I can already tell this is gonna be super confusing bc I've been writing fic since I was 12 but have since gone through so many identity changes. But let's play anyway!

1. How many works do you have on AO3?
My current library is 8. I don't actually write fanfic too often unless a specific idea intrigues me-- or something in the fanon just doesn't line up with me. I do have at least 4ish more stories planned and maybe a revised version of an ancient story from when I was young.
2. What’s your total AO3 word count?
166,451! Pretty neato!
3. How many fandoms have you written for, and what are they?
Uh, in no specific order,

4. What are your top 5 fics by kudos?
This is actually pretty funny bc I have so few fics released. I only get emails for certain ones all the time, so I wrote this part out by guessing, but I ended up not needing to change it. (also, don't read most of these; they're old and bad)

5. Which of your fic do you want more attention for?
I'll be real here, I still enjoy most of the work I did for both Beach House Bummer, and Beginner's Guide to Destroying the Moon. I just wish I got more love for the latter bc I might be inspired to finish it lmao.
6. Do you respond to comments, why or why not?
I really try to! I love the long rambly comments I get on Schrodinger's because I can feel those people are giving me the same passion I put into my work-- Though most of the time I get the generic "post more" or "update plz" which I dunno I'm grateful for the interaction. Still, I don't really want to repeat like "I'm trying my best, dude." about 12 times a day.
7. What’s the fic you’ve written with the angstiest ending?
I'll be real I only have two completed fics rn-- but I can tell you I had this one fic that I wrote when I was fourteen where the ninja turtles had to burn down a lab full of half-born mutant embryos, and like I remember writing that and then going to middle school the next day like "They don't know I'm a literary genius."
8. Do you write crossovers? What’s the craziest one you’ve written?
Probably the Letterkenny/Supernatural crossover-- I feel very strongly about SPN and how people take it way too seriously, so when I found out it was filmed in Canada. It used famous Canadian actors from the show Letterkenny, it felt way too good to pass up. I do hope to write in that space again when I'm feeling less depresso-espresso.
9. Have you ever received hate on a fic?
Yeah. It's probably a big reason why you'll never see the tmnt fics for a while. I also used to write a lot of OC stories, and this was back in 2014 so like those were def hit the hardest. I'm glad to say it's like... subsided for the most part. I don't get hate as much as I just get really confusing and creepy comments, which don't hurt my rejection-sensitive-ass as much.
10. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?
Hahahaha, no.
I am kind of bad at writing it, and I don't really like writing it. Which yeah that makes sense. My friends sometimes when they find out I write fanfic as a joke they'll send me some of the worst examples smut they can find and to test my talent I'll try to rewrite it to make it some kind of titillating-- but alas it just isn't my forte. The cons of being an asexual I guess.
11. Have you ever had a fic translated?
Uh, yes and no? I think I had one of my older fics stolen, retranslated, and then retranslated again to English? That was so long ago tho.
12. Have you ever co-written a fic before?
No, but I'd love to give it a shot sometime.
13. What’s your all-time favorite ship?
Honestly, it's sonadow. I know it's cringe but I'm free, dammit. Outside of that I guess my favorite dynamic is jock/nerd, which you've probably gleaned from my resume here fhsdkjf.
14. What’s a WIP that you want to finish but don’t think you ever will?
I've been working on Teen Years and How to Survive them since I was 16, I only started making headway on it when I was 19-- so I feel like that speaks for itself hskjhg.
15. What are your writing strengths?
It's been told to me that I'm very funny and I write convincing dialog that captures a character's voice. Which is extremely flattering despite the fact that I feel like I'm tricking you all.
16. What are your writing weaknesses?
probably scenery and landscape, if I'm honest. I also accidentally keep creating scenes just for the dialog instead of action or environment.
17. What are your thoughts on writing dialogue in other languages in a fic?
I think as long as I can guess what they're saying from context clues, and the writer is courteous enough to include body language and the like, then it's mostly harmless. I love including a bunch of references in fic whether it's cultural, historical, or just like a quote from a movie or something so I have a bunch of tabs open regardless it wouldn't be too inconvenient for me to fire up google translate or something.
18. What was the first fandom you wrote for?
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!
19. What’s your favorite fic you’ve written?
Probably Schrodinger's Adolescent, it really opened up a lot of doors for me in the DP fandom and I got to meet a lot of cool people because of it. It really cheered me up from a dark place. And despite me writing it initially out of anger and spite its grown into this soft thing that really means a lot to me.
20. What fic are you most proud of?
Honestly, I can't pick. I'm both embarrassed by them all and yet glad they bring people some form of comfort.

(for those wondering why the bottom two have shorter mask tails-
they are younger in those drawings (11-12). splinter had them wearing short mask tails till they proved they had skills to the point that longer mask tails wouldn't be a liability for them (getting grabbed etc). when they proved themselves, he let them customize their masks however they wanted
