using instances where bruce praises cass's fighting abilities (specifically behind her back and almost solely to disparage other people) as "evidence" of bruce being a good parent (or a "girl dad"...) sure is uh. something. but I have no time to get into how much I side-eye every "this is why bruce is a good, wholesome dad!!" faulty reasoning so. read batgirl (2000), it's great, cass is there, you'll want to scream at bruce's face, 10/10 would recommend.

I really hate this recent trend I’ve been seeing of ppl from the dc side of things complaining about fic writers not staying close enough to canon and trying to force (through complaining, not like Actually force lol) ppl to read some of the comics or something similar to “get a grasp on the character.” But like. I don’t like dc. I’m not going to engage with their “canon” cause I’m not interested in it. I like these fun lil scenarios where a 2000s era cartoon shows up in it. I quite literally could not care less about what is or isn’t accurate to canon (in either universe! But I haven’t seen anyone complaining about the lack of canon compliant stuff from the dp side, it’s probably happened tho). If u don’t enjoy the lil scenarios ur seeing just scroll past. “But Persephone!” I hear u say, “there’s so much of this Stuff I Don’t Like in this specific tag I peruse!!” And to that I say: so what? Ur slightly inconvenienced while looking at a bunch of stuff ppl made For Free and for fun, simply: deal. Just let ppl enjoy themselves without bringing the mood down for everyone else, u know?

I know tumblr has this whole outlook/culture surrounding mutual status where it’s framed like people are locked behind a wall unless you gain Mutual Access™, but I really am here to just hang out and make friends and talk to people about robots while trying (and failing) to prevent it from consuming me.
It is so nice talking to people about silly things or seeing people elaborate on a little food for thought post I set down. Anyone who interacts with me a lot is a mutual in my heart, even if I don’t follow them, y’know? I find some blogs overwhelming to follow if they have a high post rate or if there’s a lot of fandom content I’m not in, but that doesn’t mean I don’t like the person behind a blog I don’t follow! It seems so obvious when I put it like that but there really is this fear of overstepping/bothering someone who doesn’t follow you, which might be the case for a lot of people but not me :] Just like those posts that say a mutual blog isn’t automatically a friend, I want to say that not being a mutual doesn’t make you a stranger (to me)
I am just sitting here. Feel free to chat

what's ur opinion on a role swap au where harry's spiderman? how would things play out?
OHHHHHH Boi you do not know the can of worms you have unleashed.
I'm actually a little boggled right now because I have a wip sitting in my folders of this EXACT concept. A retelling of USM Spider-Man's origin story, but with Harry getting bit by the spider instead of Peter and how the events of the show would play out from that.
LOL I actually went searching through my flashdrive and had a whole heart attack when I couldn't find it anywhere. But, no worries, it was hiding in some obscure folder deep within the recesses of my computer.
Anywho, I would absolutely love a role-swap Spider-Man!Harry AU. It tickles my fancy so much. I'd talk all day about how things could go, but one of my biggest headcanon's is that because Harry got bitten by the spider, Peter was the one who got shot instead of Uncle Ben.
This is under the pretense that Uncle Ben was originally shot from a burglar breaking into his house. The only reason Peter wasn't there originally was because he was bitten and earning money and being irresponsible (as we all know). But since he wasn't bitten, he has no reason to not be home.
If we wanna stick close to what happened to Peter, Harry would be the one who lets the robber get away. Later, maybe the next day or something, he finds out that someone had broken into the Parker's home and Peter got shot (I prefer that Peter is alive to add to Harry;s guilt, but he could die if you want to give it some extra OOMPH).. Anyway, Harry is pissed and goes after the guy and finds out its the guy HE let get away. And not Peter has an injury that will, potentially, affect him physically for the rest of his life, thus Harry learns the lesson: With great power there must also come great responsibility.)
It'd likely expand past that if we were to stretch it along with the events of the show. Even though I havent worked on that fic in years, it still haunts my brain occasionally XD seeing an ask about it was like a ghost popping out of nowhere yelling "BOO!"
I do love the concept though. It's always fun hashing out how things could've gone if one specific thing was changed XD

the most -_- moments were:
a.) jason can overcome his condition without much fuss, enough to put a (sort of) steve trevor and jump on a plane in the direction of a meteorite (but smarter, because he has a parachute ready). this is not really given gravitas beyond the 0.2 seconds bruce is a little upset so, once again, it seems like it's just No Big Deal.
b.) selina seems to have died (she hasn't, by the end of the issue it's confirmed. also she might have meteorite-related powers now). jason comforts bruce about it. and obviously bruce still thinks he did the "right" thing by jason because it'll help him have a "peaceful, normal" life so. yeah. nothing changed on that front either.
