Do you have any thoughts regarding the colors, like do you agree or disagree or anything?

For me all I can think is that Hitoya and Jakurai's colors are both shades of grey and too similar.

None whatsoever, but just for you, anon, I will make some.

BBs - Yeah, I guess that tracks. Primary colors fit their main character aesthetics. I'm a bit surprised that Saburou is yellow because I feel like in sentai shows and stuff, yellow's the dumb one obsessed with curry, right? But I guess when they're all dumb and obsessed with curry, that doesn't really narrow it down. God bless those stupid boys. Likewise, blue's normally the "Hmmph... naruhodo." *glasses glint* character, which Jirou isn't, but maybe blue's his favorite color or something. Who the fuck am I to judge? Go live your best life, baby boy.

Samatoki and Juuto - Literally their hair and clothing colors, so that tracks.

Riou - Orange is certainly an... interesting choice for someone who lives in the woods. Maybe it's to avoid being shot if there are deer hunters around? Idk. In a way, it's fitting. Riou seems like the only cast member who would be OSHA compliant at all times.

Ramuda and Jakurai - Literally their hair colors, so that tracks.

Gentarou - Murasaki (purple) like Murasaki Shikibu. Got em. Idk, it fits. Purple's a mysterious color, right? I think it gets associated with ghosts and the supernatural a fair deal in Japanese stuff.

Dice - Great color, great character. Boom, there you go.

Hifumi and Doppo - They match because they're in love. There yo go, case closed.

Roshou and Sasara - See above.

Rei - Gold is an obvious choice. Why? Because he's el rey. *sensible chuckle*

Juushi - Not at all my style, but you go, Juushi, have fun. I feel like people who like this color are into the My Melody/Kuromi (am I spelling this right? I hope you know what the fuck I'm talking about) aesthetic. You remember like 2008 when a bunch of people had backpacks with that skull with a bow on it and all that? That's the kind of thing I think Juushi would like. Not remotely my cup of tea, but god fucking bless, baby boy, go fuck it up.

Kuukou - See Ramuda and Jakurai. Also, he's red and matches with Ichirou! Good taste gang. But he's darker because he's... the edgy version of Ichirou...? In terms of design, I guess Kuukou is the more Shadow the Hedgehog of the two, but I feel like Kuukou is more pure of heart and dumb of ass in this relationship. Hm.

Hitoya - If law had a color, it would be grey, so this tracks. Anon, you said this was too similar to Jakurai, but I think Hitoya would punch you for that. His grey is BETTER than Jakurai's grey, so there.

Hopefully these were the kind of thoughts you were looking for. Beyond that, I got nothing.

Ohh, that’s cute!!

I hope you don’t mind that I mentioned Kuko being a trans boy in the drabble? It’s an hc of mine, and I imagined this scene taking place in the same universe of this fic I wrote some time ago.

“Let’s go to the roller coaster!” Kuko yelled the moment they entered the amusement park. Jyushi had never seen the boy so happy before.

“Are you sure you’re tall enough for this ride?”

“Fuck you, man, of course I am!” Kuko lightly punched Jyushi’s arm, making Jyushi laugh.

They got the tickets to the amusement park from Hitoya, a kind lawyer who had been helping Kuko to go through the bureaucracy of officially changing his gender to male. They were both super happy for the chance of having this kind of date. Jyushi had been looking forward to it for weeks, and couldn’t wait to be with Kuko in the ferris wheel. But of course, first Kuko needed to ride the roller coaster.

“Hurry up, or the line will get even longer!” Kuko pulled Jyushi by the hand and they ran to the roller coaster’s line.

The line was long, as expected. The park was crowded with parents with their children, couples, and groups of teenagers. Kuko and Jyushi talked as they waited, Kuko was so excited his eyes were shining, and Jyushi thought he looked like a kid.

When it was finally their turn, they got lucky enough to sit in the first car. They got help to fix their belts so they’d be safely attached to the bench during the ride. It was then that Kuko noticed… Jyushi was pale as a shit.

“Jyushi, are you okay?”

“Hm? I’m fine, why do you ask?” Jyushi smiled.

“You’re pale. And you’re trembling too,” so it all made sense. “Jyushi, are you scared?”

“No!”

“You are!” Kuko replied. “Why didn’t you tell me? If I knew you were scared I wouldn’t have dragged you here!”

“But you were so excited, I didn’t want to ruin this for you…”

“Aw man… Look, I won’t be mad. Do you wanna leave? We still have time.”

“No! I mean. I’m scared but I can do this for you.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yes. But…” Jyushi hesitated.

“Hm?”

“Could you hold my hand? During the ride.”

“Of course!” Kuko said and instantly grabbed Jyushi’s hand. “I will always hold your hand. Always.”

“Thank you,” Jyushi smiled.

The ride was starting. Jyushi tightened his grip on Kuko’s hand and closed his eyes. But he wasn’t feeling so scared anymore. Kuko was firmly holding his hand, and Jyushi was happy to make his boyfriend happy. It was just the beginning of what was gonna be an amazing day for both of them.

Jiro: A curry battle huh…? They sure came up with a weird idea this time around…

Ichiro: I also think it’s a strange concept, but I still want to prove we’re the best. Will you two help me out?

Jiro & Saburo: Of course!!

Ichiro: Glad to hear it!

Saburo: We’re used to making curry so I think we should get started immediately!

Ichiro: Ah, about that… *places down a plate* I actually went ahead and made a prototype curry!

Saburo: As expected, Ichi-nii, you prepared something beforehand!

Ichiro: If we’re going to win over everyone, we can’t just use our usual curry. I was hoping you guys could help me perfect the ultimate curry!

Saburo: Then we’ll try the prototype so we can start ameliorating any flaws it may have!!

Jiro: A-Ameli…?? I don’t get what he just said but you can leave its flavour to me!!

Ichiro: Thanks, you two! Then, why don’t you go ahead and give it a taste?

Jiro & Saburo: Absolutely! *eats*

Saburo: No, it’s just, since we’re going to have to sell it, doesn’t that mean we need to come up with a name for our curry? I think the usual naming conventions revolve around the main ingredients used in the product.

i’ve fairly recently talked about how he defined the way kuukou moves in auxiliary media and how it brought to life how i envisioned he moved but it bears repeating hirono-san gave me everything and more lmao

like i still think about kuukou stalking up on some guy in track 3, twirling his mic and actually using it as a bludgeoning weapon with utter glee lol he’s so violent 💜

i love love love the feedback loop that quietly goes on behind the scenes with kuukou’s actors lmao

hirono-san mentioned in their cross talk that hayama-san’s 5th live performance was a frame of reference for the kuukou audition iirc, hayama-san a few years later during the 9th live imitated the way hirono-san used to bow as kuukou after nurusara’s division rep battle, and the bat actors took the bat seiyuu’s very cute 9th live blunder, missing their cue to introduce themselves in sync, and owned bat’s chaos by introducing themselves with their individual quirks in their rep live lol

lol during that cross talk, hirono-san mentioned he was endlessly amused by kuukou being tied up and angrily trying to talk in bat’s first drama track and i’m very happy he got to live it for himself after being tied up by dohifu in bat vs mtr lmao

still cracks me up dohifu had their very gay my home duet and kuukou literally went ‘REALLY???? IN FRONT OF MY SALAD?????’ lmao

i’ve been trying my hardest to talk around stage kuukou’s writing but personal bangers despite are!!!!!

other moments from the rep live i think about lol is that skit where hitoya totally scams kuukou and jyushi lmao but when hitoya told them the statue they ‘broke’ cost like 1000000¥ or some outrageous amount, kuukou started retching and that’s so relatable LOL

and that moment during the host club invasion where he walks in and goes ‘sup btches it’s been a while 😈’ and proceeds to destroy fragrance LOL

and him stuffing like four marshmallows at once in his mouth, expecting to be able to continue being able to speak lmao

and him going so hard his rings flew off and an unplanned mini encore happened as he tried to look for them LOL

saw a report that they were going stoopid one day during their rep live run the crowd was unwilling to let them go so hirono-san convinced the producers to let them do another encore on top of the several they already had 😭😭😭

and can you believe the hype never stopped even when bat wasn’t the focal point lol i heard that man at one point needed to be dragged off the stage during bop2023 bc he staunchly said they’d have to dim the lights on him for him to stop😭😭😭😭

there’s so so many bop2023 moments i think about like his redux rock paper scissors game, or him lifting up sasara only to drop him a second later lmao, him bullying stage posse LOL, the way they let him bring the hype whenever music lulled

and ofc the nb duet lol if the stage doesn’t want to do much by way of ichiro and kuukou’s relationship, thank fck hirono-san was there to carry lmao

crying over that one day when neither ichiro nor kuukou could catch their shared coke bottle to save their lives and kept laughing at each other while performing 😭😭😭😭😭

thank you hirono-san for establishing into stage canon kuukou dropped his bandana at ichiro’s feet after their breakup and that ichiro still has kuukou’s red bandana somewhere. it may not stick but that’s such an amazing take on that bandana’s whereabouts

something i like about stage canon is that with the sasasama duet from track 5, it lends itself to the assumption that after their break up the next time samatoki saw sasara was thru radio as he climbed up to stardom and it validates my hc that media was how samatoki found out sasara was just fine without him lol

so in regards to the bat charm, esp in the hella awesome banquet mv!!!!

the tag itself is called ofuda, a protective talisman!!! there are many different types of ofuda (omikuji are also classified as a kind of ofuda for instance) and throughout the hella awesome banquet mv, we do see the bat charm used as said various types!!!!

here in these two shots, we see the bat charm used as a senjafuda!!! senjafuda are these talismans with personalised designs that, once upon a time ago in japan, were passed around in secret councils like trading cards. ofuda typically have a deity written on it to call for luck, wealth, health, whatever said deity presides over. senjafuda, however, tend to have the person’s name on it and when people would go on pilgrimages, they’d stick the senjafuda on temple shrine gates like a very decorative ‘we were here’ tag lol

fits with the journey to hell narrative that seems to be happening in the mv!!!

and this type of ofuda is known as fuin no ofuda!!!! this one is used as a type of seal to keep evil, vengeful spirits enclosed and away from humans. the more powerful the spirit, the more seals are required to contain in the enclosed space. it’s already a little worrisome to see imagery of kuukou getting killed but this puts a evil spirit/vengeful spirit spin on top of it 🤔

1) i actually posted about it lol but i say my hypmic anniversary is when death respect came out!!! i got into around that time when a third jp merch site i used to shop at had a listing for bbmtc patches and yamada ichiro’s patch was the cutest thing i had ever seen lmao

2) besides ichiro’s face lol i listened to dba and was sold

3) hm!! i think it tracks with other stuff i obsess with!!! there’s characters with depth, finding bonds with each other/being found family, with a healthy dose of action!!!! the fact it’s told thru music is a plus; the fandoms i hung around longest in the past utilised character songs to supplement their character and i lost my mind then much similarly to the way i do now lol

4) i didn’t have a negative opinion on anybody the moment they appeared actually!!!! (except for rei lol but that was because he was disrespecting ichijiku and not for his crimes as a deadbeat dad lol) obvs the ones who stood out were ichiro, then jakurai, and then kuukou lol

5) ichiro!!!! ❤️

6) mtc and rei actually!!!! like mtc was my least favourite division when it was just the og divisions!!!! ‘somebody gotta do it’ and ‘don’t play no game that i can’t win’ dropped and that’s when my opinion of them changed but i’m not sure when i became significantly less normal about them lol 🤔 as for rei, i had a negative opinion from the get go and being bb’s father certainly didn’t help, but then i used my brain and embraced his mystery and his clowniness lol
