hi! although its late but congrats on your first anniversary! can i request for clingy yandere!jeno thank you~
Anonymous said: Could you do a yandere Jeno falling in love with a gymnast oc ?
Talking to your best friend after practice one day, you notice their gaze shift slightly to something behind you. Immediately, they grimace. "He's here."
"Again?" Your eyes widen, keeping your voice low so as not to alert the sure to be approaching male.
You see them nod once, focussing their gaze to the person behind you once more. You turn.
"Jeno, hey!" You greet, noticing his entire face light up as soon as you acknowledge him.
"Hey!" He greets back, enthusiastically.
"What are you doing here?" You smile, and you hope to all hell that it doesn't appear as tight as it feels.
"Well, I knew you had practice today so I figured I would come by to see you." He grins. "I also brought you this."
You share a brief glance with your best friend as Jeno slides his backpack around to the front. With a flick of his wrist, he has it unzipped, his hand reaching inside to pull out a sports drink for you.
You blink. This isn't the first time he's brought something for you after practice.
"Thanks." You accept the drink cautiously, noticing the seal doesn't appear to be broken. This time. Still, ever on the side of caution after the first few times, you give the drink a quick shake, tilting the bottle upside down while giving it a firm squeeze to make sure there are no little holes in the plastic that liquid could potentially escape from. Once you confirm there's not, you feel yourself relax, but only slightly. "You didn't need to get me anything."
"I wanted to," his eyes shine. "You need to make sure you're taking care of yourself after every practice. You know, make sure you're always in top condition and all that."
Your friend takes a supportive step towards you, noticing how uncomfortable his response has made you, and you watch as his eyes narrow at their movement. This isn't the first time he's acted on what he calls his incessant need to protect and take care of you.
Honestly, you should have noticed it sooner, what with the way he would always appear by your side after competitions and practices. Always, he would have things to offer you. It had started out small, like little trinkets you were used to being offered by fans of yours, along with praises here and there. Then, he upped his antics, bringing you food, usually something homemade, and different flavours of your favourite sports drink.
You thought nothing of it, until he had started showing up in all of your classes and in places where you were out either with friends or by yourself. You had been positive he had started stalking you, but when you brought your concerns up to both your coach and to the university, they had said that there was nothing that they could do. Typical.
"Anyways," you snap back to reality, noting the way his full attention is back on you as that prolonged period of silence had settled in, "I've got an exam in the morning so I really need to get home to study."
"Oh, for economics, right?" Jeno perks right up. "I have that one, too. If you want we could study together."
If you didn't know him, his offer would appear friendly. Innocent, even. However, the thought of being left alone with Jeno, or even so much as going anywhere with him has your blood running cold.
"Sorry, I usually study better when I'm by myself," you say the first thing that comes to mind and you see his expression falter for only a moment.
"Then let me walk you back to your dorm," he tries again, and this time, you visibly tense.
"That's okay," you attempt to keep your voice from shaking.
You have a sneaking suspicion that he'll follow you, anyways. Your denials haven't stopped him before.
"I've got it covered, don't worry," your best friend chimes in, trying to make light of the situation and make you feel more comfortable. After all, they know exactly how Jeno can be around you.
Jeno gives them a tight smile and your hand tightens once more around the sports drink you've been holding.
"Alright. Next time, then." He says, and as soon as he blinks, that lovestruck expression you've come to know him for is back on his face.
You can only give him a tense smile in response.
"See you around."
His final words loom over your head as both you and your best friend turn around and begin to make the trek back to your dorm for the evening. And just like all those times before, you can feel Jeno's gaze burning a hole into your back even as you walk further and further away from him. Except this time, little do you realize the glare that follows your friend as you disappear from view.
With narrowed eyes, Jeno lets out a sigh. He needs to get closer to you somehow, but there's always something that is keeping the two of you apart. He's been nothing but supportive and kind to you, surely you realize how perfect you are for each other by now. He can take care of you, if only you let him.
All he needs to do is get rid of that pesky best friend of yours, and then finally, you'll be his, once and for all.

you know, an interpretation of ct that I don't see that I personally really love is that she's a fuck up. like yes she's cool and she has some good fight scenes, but a huge part of her character is that she makes mistakes. the mistakes that she makes are ones that on their own aren't the end of the world, but she keeps making these little mistakes, and they eventually add up until she's out of room to make any more.
a really good example of this phenomenon in action is the actions she took leading up to her final confrontation with carolina and tex.
strike one, she thought she saw something in the water, but when asked by the leader what it was, she brushed it off as nothing when even if it had been nothing, it would've been smart to tell him what she thought she saw.
strike two, she didn't sense or notice florida's presence when the leader did, and she looks at the leader twice, once as she pulled out her magnums, and again after she did a scan of the room, almost like she was looking at him for guidance before he finds florida and takes him out with one good axe throw.
strike three, she couldn't convince the leader to leave when they had the chance to get away, and her cheap tricks were not enough to hold off either tex or carolina in a fight. they were only good for incapacitating her opponents enough for her to get away, which doesn't work when she has no escape.
ct is not tex, or carolina, or south. she is not a one woman army who can get herself out of trouble when she's stuck in tough situations. she needs people who can watch her back, she need a team who can cover her when she does mess up, and the leader and his team were not those people. she couldn't bring herself to trust them, and they couldn't bring themselves to trust her, and that cost all of them their lives.

Heyyy! Could you pls do yan! Neighbor Mark that regularly makes himself comfortable in the reader’s apartment and the reader has no idea how to get ask him to stop?
Anonymous said: no but like yandere shapeshifter chenle who likes messing with his neighbour by shifting into her cat because he has a big crush on her yet refuses to admit it 🧍🏻♀️
"You're here? Again?" Mark's voice comes out in disbelief as he lays eyes on what appears to you your cat curled up on the cushion of your sofa.
Blinking lazily up at the wizard before him, Chenle shifts back into his human form, "you're one to talk. How many times have you been here in this past week alone?"
"At least I don't pretend to be something I'm not," Mark retorts, crossing his arms in front of his chest.
"And how many times have they thrown you out of their apartment because you've been caught?" Chenle quirks a brow, clearly amused by the way the tips of Mark's ears turn red as the older male becomes flustered by the accusation.
"They haven't told me to stop," he mumbles, only causing Chenle to scowl.
"Well, they haven't said anything to me, either."
"Why do you even shift into their cat, anyways?" Mark turns the subject around on the younger male. "It's not like you've expressed any interest in them."
Chenle huffs, "I do find them interesting, thank you very much."
"Interesting how?" Suddenly, Mark's eyes flash with a warning, one which Chenle matches in intensity.
"The same reason you keep breaking in." He retorts.
"I think you need to stay away from them," Mark says, and the strict tone he uses lets Chenle know it's not a suggestion.
"Maybe you should take your own advice." Chenle snaps back, crossing his arms in front of his chest.
However, before either of them can say much more, the click of your lock has their attention turning to face your door. In an instant, Chenle is back in his feline form, padding towards the front to greet you by rubbing against your feet.
Given any other circumstance, Mark would have found the sight endearing, were it not for the smug look that goddamn shifter sends his way just as you look up from petting the top of his head.
"Mark? What the fuck are you doing here? Again?" Your brow furrows as you straighten yourself back up to your full height.
Mark swears he hears Chenle laughing at him in his cat form as the older male attempts to stutter out a reply.
Oh, this most certainly means war.

on hua cheng's morality and self esteem
on my first read of the book, i was actually convinced that hua cheng was this amoral asshole but that's just what he WANTS you to think. hua cheng actually cares a lot about ghost city (founded to combat the injustice of ghost persecution btw), he just downplays his achievements in front of xie lian because he doesn't want to 'trick' him into liking him. he also sees any accomplishments as a direct result of dianxia's influence so it would be wrong to take credit for them. perhaps hundreds of years of playing the part of the terrible calamity skewed his perception of himself even further.
in his introduction in heaven, they say how he would "Sometimes... carry out a massacre in cold blood, and sometimes he would do odd acts of kindness" (page 157, book 1) which makes me wonder what heaven defines as "cold blood." he visibly dislikes the man who bet his daughter's life and mentions killing several tyrants. in creating e'ming, he nearly destroyed himself in order to save those mortals. on the casino in ghost city, "If I don’t control a place like this, then someone else will. I’d rather that person be me." (page 107, book 2.) he has a very strong sense of justice that he hides under 3 million layers of arrogance.
xie lian gets the ability to tell if he is lying early in the book and sees him for who he really is. they're very similar in that they have this drive to do good in the world but think about it and go about it in very different ways. hua cheng even mentions that it doesn't matter how you go about saving the common people, and that xie lian over-complicates what is right and wrong and should do what he wants... but he wouldn't turn that logic on himself :/
anyway
**this is my reading btw if anybody wants to have a discussion im 100% down
