So cause Im a man of my word (no) yestarday I was making a lil... redesign? is kindo of a redesign but is also a lot of me not knowing how to draw Vivzie Pop's characters

can you tell character design is my passion? XD I suck at this

Why Via? Via is not my fav character but with her I could experiment with the Goth 2000's Girls so yeah

Im old people so I was alive in the 2012's Goth Girls Era and I used to dream of being able to dress like this but... for reasons I couldn't T^T

And cause I was reading a lot of Helluva Boss fanfics There's headcanon ? tropes ? of Via working for I.M.P. and having the most cute Daughter/Father relationship with Blitzø and having a sisters relationship with with Loona and I cry T^T

Here is my personal favorite and some details of my process

This is like a shitty re design cause I wanted to keep it simple cause in animation the simplier the better but I overcomplicated some parts so is like not enough intricated and not simple enough

Also Im surprised I ended liking this one the most cause is the most similar to Via's original design and yeah that wasn't the idea 😅

'Ello, I just wanted to come on here to say how much I LOVE your brush-work (is that a word lol?)

Crayon or Pencil-like lines that aren't always opaque all the way and are a little more sketchy sometimes are probably some of my favourite :D

Also, your style is just really cool and nice anyway, but I wanted to give a shout out specifically to your based brush choice!

yessss i love traditional textures in digital art, thank you :> i use kyle t webster's brushes for photoshop and I've never found brushes that better emulate certain real-life textures. man's a wizard, i dunno how he does it. i use his tiltiriffic 2015 brush for basically everything short of merch and anything i want to have really thick lines, it's a delightful brush and it feels so natural to work with.

i heard advice somewhere that people tend to resonate more with art that looks like it was hand drawn, you want small imperfections in your coloring and lineart, you don't want everything to be perfect. i really resonate with that, i think there's a certain element to sketchy pencil lines and messy paint and kraft paper textures that you could call, appropriately... cozy :)c

anyway if anyone would like to know what brushes i use and what i use them for they are under the cut with examples 👍

hopefully this image can be blown up if you click on it :') the only brushes that aren't featured are the ones i got from the free sample pack from true grit texture supply, i use their craft paper textures for most things as well and one of their building grain shader brushes for like, noise gradients. if any of y'all have a photoshop subscription you can download his brushes for free, i highly recommend checking them out! they are THE coolest brushes i've ever used (And boy I've gone through a lot of brushes in my time). if your drawing tablet does not have pressure or tilt sensitivity though your mileage will vary, tilteriffic did not work on my brothers tablet because it couldn't pick up what angle my stylus was at.

if i took a shower had a change of clothes took my T shot and ate a sandwich i would be a new man rn

#i didnt mention it here but ever since i got that washer/dryer #i realized while hooking it up i was missing a part that they didnt give me and moved out before i could ask for it #and i looked at home depot and the part i needed wasnt in stores currently so i could either order it to the store and pick it up #or have it shipped to my house (free either way chooser's choice style)#so i just had it shipped to me. for some reason it didnt save my apt number even though my other part of the same order came to me justfine #so ive been having a fucking war of attrition #with just waiting for my part to come in so i can do my laundry for a month vs my growing pile of stank-ass clothes #and im like im NOT doing laundry in the facilities they have. no sir im going to wait right here until my part comes in #if i finally set up this washer/dryer combo and it turns out theyre broken or something im going to melt into my floorboards #until my unemployment comes in for sure im waiting on spending any amount of money on extra food #i got food but its all shit i dont really wanna eat #its all my pantry shit thats like i bought a lot of this on sale and had a kick but i fell off awhile ago and now its kind of gross to me #and i for some reason have also been having a testosterone war of attrition #i asked my clinic if i could go back on my normal dose or not if i skipped two-coming-on-three weeks of doseage #and it took a few days for them to get back to me (i can its fine unless i had symptoms at first then start smaller)#and by then i was like #''well i take my shots tuesdays and i wanna keep that consistent so.. next tuesday it is!'' (4 weeks no T now)#and oh my god how did i live like this. no T is horrible. bring him back bring him back #but its going to all come to a head tomorrow my part is supposed to finally come in. and i do my t-shot when i warm up tomorrow #so i'll do laundry and shower and t-shot and that will be good. sandwich would be very perfect cherry on top the day but..#i think i will make *looks at pantry* instant latke mix instead #i've been intermittantly showering but now that im unemployed i dont like sweat in a factory running around so its been not super bad #but taking a shower and changing into dirty clothes fucking sucks #i realized i could hand wash a few to hang to dry but its a lil too late now my parts coming in tomorrow

i finished troilus and cressida today and no wonder they call it a problem play. honestly what was that

#tales from diana #text post #shakespeare #troilus and cressida #i wont say i didnt like it or i was disappointed #but that was really quite strange and i dont know what to make of a lot of it #and ive read several of the problem plays before in fact a lot of them are my favorites. the winter's tale/all's well/etc.#t&c was very strange. it was like it wasn't even written by shakespeare. it doesnt bear a resemblance in character and plot style #the writing is certainly shakespeare and in that it is beautiful. beautiful.#the characters are very very opaque though. that's a word i found someone use when explaining why it's one of the more difficult plays #yeah they do not have a lot of internality. theyre honestly kind of flat? at least to read.#im sure it's different in performance. i watched the trailer for the 2019 rsc production and THAT looked great #shakespeare is normally so good at lending depth to even the most minor of characters #whereas the motivations for a lot of the t&c cast are either very simple or somewhat unclear. or both.#it's a play i'd not recommend for the plot #but as i do have this broader goal of finishing shakespeare's complete extant plays in my 20s. yeah that's one more down #that was number 23 of 38. i have 15 more to go.#at this point there aren't a lot of well-known or famous ones i still haven't read #by far the most famous one i still haven't read is othello. which might be scandalous to admit #and twelfth night and much ado about nothing. and titus andronicus.#im planning on knocking down some of those next but the thing is i already kinda do KNOW those plays #i just havent READ them. in full on my own.#but also i ordered this morning. a book ive been trying to get forever #three tragedies by renaissance women #including elizabeth cary's mariam #jane lumley's translation of iphigenia #and mary sidney's antonie! so i have that to look forward to #as well as. always. a neverending pile of plays i already own. to be read. very exciting #ive read 6 shakespeare plays this year (2023). that's the most i've read since 2018 the year i got the riverside shakespeare.#wonder if i wanna break that record? it's october. i have time to decide.

SLS/N's POV

Nick got covid right after last week's Friday video, then passed it on to Matt, so they both have to quarantine by themselves. Chris and I were still standing though, but now we had to quarantine together in his room, in the hope of avoiding the sickness.

"Hey, guys. As you know Nick got covid and now Matt has it now. So I'm stuck with this goofball until they all feel better," Chris said to the vlog.

I rolled my eyes and stuck my AirPods in my ears, not wanting to put up with his shit at the moment.

Chris and I aren't as close as I am with Matt and Nick. I'm not sure why though, I guess I just drift to people who aren't annoying little grimlins every time you try and talk to them.

It was finally dark outside and it was time for bed. after a day of hearing Chris talk and talk and talk into a camera has made my head began to throb.

But I wasn't going to bed anytime soon.

Chris was playing fortnight with Matt right now, and being extremely loud while doing it, banging on the table and screaming our strings of cuss words.

I walk over to his closet, yawning, pulling out one of his fresh Love hoodies and throwing it on, leaving the hood on. I snuggle under Chris's covers, getting warm, and being so tired that I fell fast asleep in the middle of my brothers bed, even with him screaming in the background.

Chris's POV

"Alright man, I'm tired as fuck. I'm signing off." I heard Matt say through my headset. I told him I loved him, then turned off my PC.

After throwing on some sweats and a sleep shirt, I walk over to my bed, ready to crash.

But I stop once I see SLS/N laying in the middle, snuggled up in one of my hoodies that was too big for her.

I couldn't help but thinking how adorable she looked, snapping a picture then sending it to Matt and Nick.

I eventually came to the conclusion that I was just gonna lift her really fast. I snaked my arms up under her and picked her up bridal style before laying down with her in my lap.

As I pulled the blankets up, I hear her mumble something incoherent in her sleep, snuggling close into my chest. I wrap my arms around her, drifting to sleep myself.

SLS/N's POV

I woke up this morning to the pounding headache that hadn't gone away over night like I hoped. I opened my back pack full of things I brought from my room and pulled out my emergency bottle of Tylenol, I climbed back into bed, popping two in my mouth.

Chris was still asleep, but I really wanted to snuggle up into his warmth like last night. I don't know why, but it felt so good getting cuddles from him. Probably because we don't hang out enough for me to ever get some on the regular.

I ever so gently lifted his arm, crawling under it before letting it go. I felt him stir as his hand hit the mattress and look up just in time to see him blink the sleep from his eyes.

"Sorry, I didn't mean too wake you up." I mumbled, kind of embarrassed.

"Its fine, I promise. Are you okay?" He asked, probably seeing the squint my face was making due to the throbbing in my head.

I shrugged and told him my head still hurt like a bitch.

"Well why don't you do your covid test then hop in the shower while you wait, The hot water will probably help your head." He said, reaching over to his night stand to grab a new test.

I hop out of the shower and change into some sweats and one of Chris's big t-shirts, then immediately go and check my test.

I reads negative, as does the one next to it which I assume is Chris's. I sigh in relief, not wanting to get sick at all.

I walk into Chris’s bedroom to see him scrolling on his phone in his bed. l’m surprised when I see him put his phone down and open his arms for a cuddle. I walk over to him and wrap my arms around his torso, the awkwardness only lasting half a second.

“hey sissy?” I hear him mumble quietly into my hair. I hum in response. He clears his throat thickly and I can hear the emotion in his throat.

“I just wanted to say that I’m glad we got to spend this time with you. I love you so so much and that will never change.”

I look up to see a tear fall from his eye, but he quickly whipes it away. I feel my own tears coming and I snuggle up close into his chest.

“That was cringey.” I say, laughing out a sob. He chuckles and wraps his arms around me, squeezing me tight.

Why I love the SPN finale so much

There are exactly 4 possible ways the show could have ended for our boys.

a) Both Sam and Dean live

b) Both Winchesters die together

c) Sam dies

d) Dean dies

So why do I think d) was the best possible outcome? Lets have a look at the different scenarios.

a) Both Sam and Dean live

While it would have been nice, I dont think it would have really concluded the show. "There will be peace when you are done." Well, on earth they would never have been truly done. There would always have been another horror lurking just around the corner, even if it was just a Monster of the Week. To find true peace, I think the boys had to enter heaven. And we actually had a bit of the they were done and lived happily on earth scenario in that domestic life openening of the finale. For the boys to live would just have meant more of the same, seasoned with hurts and horrors and a sprinkle of pain on top.

b) Both Winchesters die together

I wouldn't have minded that. It sure would have made for a tragic ending. In fact, that was what I kind of was hoping for, at least I imagined that this would be how the finale would go. Both boys going down swinging, blaze of glory style, preferably dying hand in hand, saying something like "Good night Sammy" or "See you on the other side, Dean". But in retrospect I see that this would have robbed us of their 7 Minute good bye scene. Of all the things Dean needed to say to Sam because he was saying good bye for quite a while. Of Sam being devastated and breaking down with his dead brother in his arms. There would have been no need for love confessions and "I must have stood outside your dorm for hours" and "When it came down to it it has always been you ... and me". Because they just could have picked up their normal conversation on the other side.

c) Sam dies

Dean would have comitted suicide right after burning Sams corpse. Jensen said so, and regarding Deans feelings and intentions, Jensens words are as good as canon to me.

I wouldnt have minded the tragedy of that, but in that case it really would have had an undertone of suicide ideation, which enough people scream about Dean's death as it is. (And which it really, really wasnt!)

c) Dean dies

Did I cry my eyes out? Yes. But the show I love is a drama show. Otherwise I`d choose a feelgood comedy show.

I wouldnt have minded for Sam to follow Dean soon after, to be honest. Maybe by being extra careless on hunts. But in keeping fighting, living through the grieve and pain day by day and coming out strong enough on the other side to actually have a kid and give him a stable, loving home, the message of the finale was actually so powerful. Opposite of glorifying suicide, it said "hold on, stay strong, there is a light at the end of all this trauma and horror and darkness you currently walk through".

The best part about the finale is, though, that it did not end there. Supernatural DID. NOT. END. WITH. DEAN'S. DEATH!!!

SUPERNATURAL ENDED ON A BRIDGE!!!!

I would have hated it, if the end of the show would have been the brothers seperated. But they weren`t. The show literally ended with the boys arm in arm, looking out over a peaceful valley in a heaven better than the one they knew from before.

There was peace and they were done. Together.

I (18M) am a trans man and my cousin N (21F) is a lesbian who is very masc presenting. We're the only queer cousins in the family (at least in our generation) so weve always been good friends and shes been one of the biggest supporters of my transition, defended me from bigoted family members and always corrected family when they used my deadname/old pronouns. I lowkey hoped she would come out as a trans man or nonbinary as well. We dress in the same style which makes it so when were hanging out together one of us is gonna get misgendered since people asume both of us are trans men or masc girls. When N is the one being misgendered she doesnt bother fighting it since its more trouble than its worth but looking back i think it really annoyed her.

Earlier this year N was severely struggling with her mental health. I apologize for the wording i may have since i dont know the proper terminology for this stuff or any specific disorder diagnosis she may have (other than autism). She was having some sort of manic or depressive episode. She was dead set on pushing people away and making them hate her so she could take her own life without regrets.

I visited N once to give her my support during a struggling time but i stupidly told her there was nothing she could say that would push me away. She told me not to test her but i kept pushing it and i admit what happened next was my fault. She told me in a very cold voice that she was a terf, though that she didnt want me dead but that "we" (im guessing she meant trans ppl) made it so much harder for her to exist(???????). I didnt let her keep talking just and left her room, said my goodbyes to her family and just cried while driving home.

Im still not sure if she meant it or if it was part of her mental episode and just a way for her to hurt me and push me away. On one hand ig it explains some of her behavior? N sometimes complained when she got asked for her pronouns or being misgendered like I mentioned before. On the other hand, I gen do not believe she has been a terf all along esp with how supportive shes been of me. If she was a terf youd think she would try to subtly talk me out of it, but that has never happened. My friends have nicknamed her schrodinger's terf lol

Anyway, i went no contact with N for a few months for my own wellbeing. During this time i heard that she tried to kill herself a few times, which got her into a mental hospital. She was given higher doses of meds and seems to be doing way better.

We had a family reunion this week and i decided to approach her. N seemed a little hesitant to talk to me but stayed polite. I tried testing her and talked about the effects T has been having on me but she acted like she always had and congratulated me and even complimented me on how deep my voice has gotten. I wasnt satisfied cause i wanted an apology for what she had said to me so i pushed it more. She did end up apologzing but it was a very surface level apology. At this point i didnt want to keep pushing in case it set her off again so i just took her apology (plus i wanted my best cousin back) and spent the rest of the day hanging out with her.

On the way home my mom said she was happy me and N had made up and that i should invite her to the lgbt club meetings Ive been going to this year. It seemed like a good idea to me, she lost a few friends during her episode and she could make more queer friends here. If N is trans and just in denial it could help her get the resources she needs to feel comfortable coning out. If N IS a terf maybe having more positive interactions with trans ppl could change her mind on it. Overall i thought it would be a win for her.

I brought it up to my friends and some of them blew up at me. Their argument was that itd be exposing the other trans ppl in the group to a terf and putting them in danger. I truly hadnt considered this angle so im kinda conflicted now. She had never felt like an unsafe person before and now that her episode is over she feels normal again. Even if she is a terf i dont think she could actually cause harm? I want N to get better but i dont want to put my trans friends at risk.

The other Power-ups work differently to the Fire/Ice flowers..

Any power-ups that transform the bros bodies usually expend energy by just keeping them transformed. And even if the bros don't actively use that power, it'll eventually just drain itself away.

For example, the super shroom. Making Mario grow big and keeping him big consumes power. If he ate a super shroom and just stood there, eventually he would shrink back to normal. Running around. jumping, punching, that activity would make it drain faster though.

Same goes for the Super bell, mini mushroom, mega mushroom, super leaf, double cherry,,, etc. Just keeping the bros transformed consumes power. The fire/ice flowers don't transform the bros though. Mario and Luigi's bodies stay the same, they just become outlets to expel the flowers power. And if they don't use it.. well.. its gonna stay stored up in their bodies. And eventually freeze/burn them to death..

The only odd case when it comes to Power-ups is the 1-Up mushroom. It stores itself in the host's body, and doesn't effect the host or release its power unless it needs too. Mario could touch a 1-Up, and then 15 years later he dies and that's when the 1-Up will release its power. All though those 15 years Mario would have had 0 side effects from having it in his body. Its as if it didn't exist at all..

Hmm,, I haven't really thought too much about them other than the stuff I already talked about in the OG post..

But I was thinking that the imp species could have all these wacky and bizarre shapes at the end of their tails that dont really make sense..? If any of the three Octodads were to experience a hallucination, it would probably be either Natquik or Calico Jack. But since I'm going through a re-write of Natquik's backstory and I don't actually know how traumatizing his re-write will be... I'm gonna say that Calico Jack is most likely to have one.

Although I'm not sure what would cause it.. mayyybe an encounter with a creature in the everglades could remind him of a traumatizing experience he had..? And that panic could result in hallucinations? I actually know very little about how hallucinations work so its hard to say what would exactly trigger one to occur.. <:(

I don't know if its necessarily pain..? More like.. a panic attack maybe?

When they're separated, their systems are flooded with commands to seek out the other. And if they cant find th.em or reach them? Well.. those commands will get overwhelming.

But that doesn't mean that you cant do maintenance on them. My idea was that there's a simple procedure where you take both of them to parts and service, put one aside and put one on the work bench.. and then shut them both down at the same time. Then when the work is done, reactivate both of them and return them to their room. Easy!

As for why they designed them like this? The main idea I had was that having this A.I. meant that they would naturally follow each other around in a way that seemed natural. Fazbear entertainment really wanted their animatronics to seem life like, but they also don't want Fred and Spring to ever separate. They want them to always be in the same room for photo shoots and meet and greets.

This A.I. means that if Spring is talking to a guest and a kid tried to lead Fred by the hand to another room.. Fred would stop at the doorway and redirect himself and the kid back into the room. "Lets play here instead!" "My friends Spring Bonnie is here, lets play here instead!" Meanwhile Springs conversation remains uninterrupted. This in turn makes them seem more life like and also prevents them from seperating.

Its not very strong reasoning but its all I've got to be honest <XDD

Also as for Spring loosing Fred..? It would be impossible for him to function without Fred. If they scrapped one, they'd have to scrap the other..
