im here to bite other ppls asks and drag them into the woods. also u should talk about lockes relationship with magic and how he knows warriors has his own + messes with it to fuck w him cos its funny ( <- me enabling u to infodump abt ur legend and warriors ideas to tumblr )

my cherished . did u know that i'd live and die and kill for you.

how he magic works :)! locke's magic is a Lot like legend's magic was in my weathered and wavering fic ? sorta sentient in a way. it's a reflection of its host (locke) and exists solely to keep him healthy and alive. even though it's basically a reflection of locke's ideals and personality, i think the interesting thing abt this is that his magic can Disagree w him

usually it's not a huge deal—like i've said after all, magic is always a reflection of their host. disagreements usually crop up when the host is doing something that damages themselves (pushing themselves too hard in a fight, using a spell that will drain them too much) or doing something that the magic thinks will get them killed

magic sorta teams w up that barrier in ur head that keeps u from taking the leap of faith over that ravine in the forest; that moment of hesitance where your legs freeze and you doubt the probabilities that you'll come out of this alive—that's the magic in ur system, pulling you back, begging u to take the longer, safer path. it teams up w fear as well; plants your feet to the ground when ur about to walk into something dangerous, urges u to turn around and tells u that it's not safe here. it's not doing it to burst ur bubble or anything, it's just doing it to keep u alive

BUT THAT'Snot rly the important part. the point is locke has magic that's almost like another Being in his system. everybody's magic is like this. it has intelligence and emotions, just,,, to a lesser degree than humans ? not sure how to describe it. it's somewhere between a human and an animal's intelligence. not quite as equiped as a human, but definitely smarter than ur average animal

locke can talk to his magic !!! they're buddies . the disagreement thing can also extend to instances where ur like,,, unsure of what to do ? or how to feel abt something ? magic is sorta the "physical" representation of that. locke thinks one way, his magic thinks another, and then they sorta argue it out and try to make sense of the mixed feelings. they're a lotta cool stuff u can connect that to :)

another general rule to this lil universe is that if locke enchants an object too much or too fast, the magic will sorta congregate and,, let the item gain sentience. that's why it's VERY important to never just enchant shit willy-nilly. locke is very careful not to reach that limit

(makes ya think . does that mean every living being is just a Thing that was given so much magic by mother nature that it gained a human-level mind and intelligence ..,, hm. won't sleep tonight)

the only thing he wasn't so careful with is his staff, since that was pretty much the first weapon he enchanted a Lot and he was young and unaware of the dangers. nowadays, his staff Does have some semblance of a mind !!!! it's very subtle, tho

the moments of awareness from his staff are few and far between, and honestly, it mostly helps locke out instead of hinders him. the staff is aware of its surroundings only sometimes, and it'll occasionally shove locke out of the way of an attack he doesn't see or nudge him to alert him of ambushing enemies he doesn't notice. it'll also very rarely stab monsters For locke if he's in a bind. occasionally it will swivel around to listen to the chain when locke's name or the staff itself is brought up, like it's perking up and paying attention (it freaks the chain out . VGEAIUV)

locke mostly just enjoys seeing its small moments of awareness, and he can tell the staff is fond of him. he's not dumb enough to enchant it more, cuz that could definitely cause problems, but he figures this is fine <3

another small thing: locke can read other people's magic and it can tell him a lot about them. he knows everybody's dark world forms (yes, he is immediately aware of the wolfie and twi deal). he can sense lingering magic on people based on what sorta spells and items they use (he doesn't even rly need magic to know the deal w four bc of his game, but his magic aids him further in knowing that there r actually four people in that little body . wow). again, he doesn't need magic to know this since he's already aware of what the fierce deity is and looks like, but it gives him proof that time's face markings are from the fierce deity mask itself and the deity's aura still lingers there a little

AND YEAH . YES. wars doesn't have a whole lot of magic and can't rly do any fancy spells beyond use a fire rod, but locke can definitely sense his. when they're sitting together locke likes to swirl his own around him and watch wars shift around and adjust himself trying to figure out what the fuck is wrong w his body rn GVYIEAGVIA he can sense locke's magic there, but wars isn't educated in the matter and doesn't Know that's magic, he just knows there's a Presence here and it's Fucking with him

cue wars seeing his grin and him going "are u fuckin w me?" locke giggles sm . dw wars thinks it's funny too

Lucifer:

-He really didn’t like you upon first meeting

-He hated how he couldn’t intimidate you into not being a nuisance the way he could with most of his brothers

-But, to be honest, you had gained his respect rather early on

-I think, even though it may have annoyed him to no end, Lucifer was very fond of your bravery a lot of the times

-The way you would stand up for Mammon or that time you protected Beel and Luke from his outburst

-Courage is not a trait one would usually associate with humans, especially when more superior beings like demons are involved

-Your humility was also a characteristic of yours that he, surprisingly, was really fond of

-And your overall mercifulness was something to be congratulated as well

-I mean, him and his brothers put you through so much shit and for you to forgive and move on without an angry word at any of them kinda speaks on its own

-I think he understands, to an extent, the reason you’re so loyal to the people you care about too

-He has a certain devotion for Lord Diavolo and his brothers, more than he lets on

-To him, having someone like you around is something to be appreciated

-Because you are similar but also completely different and nothing like he deemed you to be at the beginning

-yo i think you remind him of himself back when he was angel tbh

-He’s sort of tired of saving your ass tho because you are very just, so you feel the need to help people all the time which leads to you getting involved in fights

-Believe it or not, he warms up to you in less than a day...?

-It’s probably because he’s a navy commander and he’s used to having soldiers around and you sort of remind him of that

-Out of everyone, he reacts the least when he sees how you carry yourself because to him it’s second nature

-Even if he does tend to slouch most of the time

-Almost dropped to his knees and started worshiping you when you yelled at Mammon to give Levi his money back on your first day

-And then a friendship started to blossom (im not friendzoning y’all, relax)

-Levi has a tendency to just walk into your room with his laptop, point at the screen which is paused in the middle of an anime and go “Look, the protagonist is a knight. You’re also...really knightly. I like the protagonist. I, uh I like you too, I guess.”

-He loves how honest you are because he knows that no matter what you wouldn’t lie to him

-“MC, do you think I’m a yucky otaku?”

-“No.”

-“But-“

-“No.”

-“Oh ok.”

-But on the inside he’s like 🥰🥰💞💞💞💞

-I just think that a knightly MC would connect on an emotional level with Levi for a lot of reasons, idk

-He’s gonna be a sputtering mess when he realises how much effort you put into this relationship (platonic or romantic) and how loyal you are to it

-Like how you actually bother learning all of his stupid passwords because you are just as serious about them as he is

-He just crashed, give him a moment to reboot please

Satan:

-He takes a while to warm up to you because for some reason your overall demeanour reminded him of Lucifer lol

-He thought you might be just as stuck up as him

-It didn’t take him longer than a week or so to come to the sudden realisation that you are way more pleasant than his brother

-Like his daddy, you manage to earn his respect pretty quickly after that

-He just thought the way you handled everything that was thrown at you in DevilDom was very sophisticated but firm nonetheless, if that makes sense?

-Like, you weren’t itching to escalate fights or anything but your tone of voice could easily end a whole conversation if need be

-You were still a human of course, it would be real easy for some low rank demon to kidnap you or something

-But for some reason, your confidence seemed to intimidate a few of the weaker ones into leaving you alone

-Obviously, that didn’t mean you were completely safe or anything

-There were still others that could effortlessly overpower you

-Even so, Satan found it sort of reassuring that unlike some humans, you weren’t one to back down without a confrontation

-Don’t get me started on all those times you rebelled against Lucifer, because that’s what truly got him to get to know you better

-He found you pretty interesting and then that interest sort of evolved into actual fondness

-Another thing that caught his eye was that even though you have very strong feelings about justice and fairness, you are completely level headed most of the time

-And patience, while it’s something he can manage, is the one that he has been trying to control for centuries

-He learned a lot from you about behaviour, whether you intentionally taught it to him or not

-And if there is one thing Satan thinks highly of; it would be knowledge

-Therefore, from that point onward, your existence was so much more precious to him than your soul could ever be

Asmo:

-What can I say about our sweet Asmo?

-You could have the personality of a trashcan and he’d still love you

-You were so polite and honourable from the beginning to the point you managed to get the attention of the Avata of Lust himself????

-He is so desperate for your attention, he will tattle on his brothers just to get you to yell at them and then comfort him

-Your nobility still catches him off guard every now and then

-He probably applauds you on the fact that you can even scare Lucifer on some occasions because imagine having a scarier death glare than the eldest prince of hell

-Asmo will personally buy you clothes that he thinks suit your “aesthetic” (wtf Asmo)

-Might’ve bought you a sword and then got shouted at by Lucifer because oops turns out it was cursed

-He figures you’re really nice from the start

-Mostly because you kept running errands and opening doors for him even though he let it slip that he might lose control and eat you

-Like most brothers, he finds you comforting in a way

-Beel appreciates your honesty to him too because he can count on you to tell him when he’s doing something wrong

-And he sort of needs the validation that even though he blames himself for a lot of things that took place in the past, his brothers and you are more than ready to forgive him (even if they didn’t blame him to begin with)

-Rather than respect, Beel puts a lot of trust into you, which I would believe to be more intimate

-If it’s just the two of you hanging out, he has an easier time opening up about Lilith because he knows you would never judge him and respect his feelings enough to let him get it out of his system

-You always share your food with him and give him a bigger portion and he goes so soft-

-Like who allowed you to be this generous?

-Tbh, he thinks it’s sort of refreshing having someone like you around

-Beel has been surrounded by demons for millenniums now and he’s gotten used to their...uh ‘evilness’

-Ever since you got dropped off in DevilDom, you really stood out with your nobility and morals

-It was like a breath of fresh air in a way

-He may or may not believe you’re a good influence on his siblings-if you can even influence demons of all things

-I’m not saying he invites you to work out with him and give him honest criticism, but he definitely invites you to work out with him and give him honest criticism

Belphie:

-“Out of all the humans they could’ve chosen, they picked the most annoying one, oH MY FUCKING GO-I MEAN DAD-“

-You go up to the attic that one night after tricking Lucifer into vibing to some classical TSL tunes

-He spotted you and was immediately irritated

-Like, he KNEW you were going to be a pain in the ass just by judging your posture and how you carried yourself (very knightly)

-At the start, he’s even hesitant to lie to you because he had a suspicion you wouldn’t buy his bs

-(Spoiler alert: you didn’t but you went with it either way)

-It takes a while for you to forgive him when he literally fucking kills you because that was rude af but you got over it in time

-AFTER of the whole ‘Sorry-for-choking-you-can-we-be-friends-now’ incident, you still get on his nerves a lot but at this point, he believes that’s his punishment for being a murderous dickhead

-You don’t really piss him off tho, you just confuse him a lot

Fox Hybrid Tommy

Hello, Iv come to talk about why I think fandom is sleeping on Tommy being a fox hybrid and in this essay- To be honest I was gonna leave it there but then I realized i have ALOT of thoughts, valid points, and an itch to info dump so here it is!

Now im really fond of most hybrid Tommy takes and while Avian Tommy is number one in my heart, I genuinely believe Fox Hybrid Tommy should be MUCH more popular then it is right now and im like 90% sure most of the reason its not is that people tend to think its “Fundy’s Thing” (despite the fact they can both be fox hybrids) and becuase of how fast and hard the RaccoonInnit things was picked up when he was in Techno’s house.

(Note, I dont hate Raccoon hybrid Tommy, I just think Fox hybrid Tommy works better for the most part and I'm baffled I dont see more of Fox hybrid Tommy around.)

Overall I think Tommy has the classic tells for being a fox affiliated character, both in more realistic Fox Behaviors and ones commonly associated with the character of a fox in stories and myths;

Tommy a trickster, loving pranks and messing around and causing chaos, as well as a well-known scammer, traits often associated with Foxes.

Tommy literally lives in a burrow, and builds tunnels to connect him to places! Something foxes do.

Tommy is a scavenger, he steals when he needs it or just even when he wants to and doesn't often get/hunt things down himself unless he has to.

He's surprisingly crafty af, specially when it comes to problems he cant just like, fight his way out of he’s gotten pretty creative at figuring things out.

While foxes are more solidary, they're very social with their families and often stick near by while being territorial over their family and territory (tho they still hunt for themselves), and also foxes raised around others by humans (tamed, not domesticated) are more social in general! (Did you know tamed foxes act a lot like dogs?)

Foxes start to fight for dominance as kits! They do, in fact, have a social hierarchy and they can get very brutal with it, you cant tell me this doesn't scream Tommy posturing and trying to assert dominance.

Foxes are very high energy, and so is Tommy for the most part. They're also known for being mostly sweet natured but vicious when called for! (they’re wild animals no matter how hard someone tries to tame them, tame Tommy)

This strays a bit more into personal hc territory but iv always seen Tommy as a more speed and agility based fighter even tho he insists he's a tank, and foxes are SPEEDY LITTLE FUCKERS, some can run up to 42 mph!!!

Tommy is also lanky and thin like a fox, where as Raccoons are very much not normally LOL

And they're loud motherfuckers as well. They have over 40 calls on average, and most are loud and annoying and you cant tell me Tommy wouldn't just fucking scream like he was dying for fun

There's more I could argue but these are the main and most strong points for it, and yes, some of these can also be associated or also matched with raccoons but they have other traits that I dont think fit Tommy that well as a fox does.

TLDR: I just think the fox fits Tommy better overall.

26. Do you have any headcanons for any characters?

(all thought up on the spot bc i had nothing in mind before this fhdbfhbsf)

- sara helps tutor joe, especially in math, because he’s our favorite himbo. however, he will occasionally pretend that he doesn’t understand things even after he gets them, either to mess with sara or make her feel a little smarter lmfao

- joe doesn’t have a dog yet but he’s saving up to get one, and gin is in the same boat. when they realize they have this in common, they agree to pool their money to get a dog

-joe and sara start dating and they “adopt” gin (he ends up spending most of his time with them). joe teases gin by incessantly calling him “sport,” “champ,” “buckaroo,” and other weird dad names. he also begins to make dad jokes ironically, but then they become unironic, much to sara’s chagrin

-gin plays fortnite lmao,,,im half kidding but i feel like he’d say he plays it and then he secretly plays animal crossing or those animal grooming mobile games but he’s too scared to admit it because he’s afraid of sounding too girly

-reko got into fights in high school and it was alice’s responsibility to break them up and subdue her

- shin has a 4chan account. he just does. sou probably introduced him to it and now he likes to go on there and make jokes about the people who get unreasonably pissed on it even tho he’s pretty close to being one

- joe asked ryoko out w a really cheesy pickup line or one of those joking valentine’s day cards, and he kept bouncing options off of sara until she got fed up and threatened to confess to ryoko herself

-nao has a bunch of aesthetic pinterest boards that are either cottagecore themed or have a lot of pastels and soft colors,,,and she very quietly made one w the more egirl/alt aesthetic after meeting reko

-aaaand (in a non death game au) shin and kanna start a garden!! kanna is very invested in organizing all of the flowers and she wants to learn about flower language, and shin pretends to be nonchalant but secretly waters and monitors the flowers when kanna isn’t looking :))

31. Characters you would go on a road trip with?

definitely joe, i feel like he’d have great music taste and just generally be a fun person to go on a trip with, but i also feel like he’d be kinda talkative and get a bit irritating after awhile lmao

i think kai would be chill but helpful, from what we’ve seen of his fondness events he’s funny asf so i wanna get to know him and hear more of his quiet humor!!! i’d also wanna go with alice purely because he’d probably have an overdramatic reaction to every little inconvenience, and nao because she seems so genuinely sweet and helpful and i wanna hear abt her interests!! most of these are just characters that i’d want to get to know better honestly

As a young lad he heard Khystophylus helping him out and talking into his ear. Khys helps a lot of mortals and is rather fond of them, having to care for their souls when wandering into the after life a lot of times. It’s just that this guy is one of the few and only to properly recognize the voice as khys, who does exist in the pantheon of eldrich gods but is often overlooked and misinterpreted as a different god entirely, and misses out on any sacrifices. In this world, all gods are eldrich abominations, it’s chill and normal, relax. Khys just has a very difficult voice lol. Khys helped him compile that tome of his full of really potent spells he has all memorized, he doesnt need the book but it helps and can make casting go faster sometimes. It latches on to the small of his back where the bone pelvis is. Those bones are real btw.

i mean, khys is perceived as a guardian of space and dimensions, why tf would they be a teacher? so everyone thinks it’s the god of wisdom or some shit instead and khys just facepalms and moves onto the next mortal, slightly annoyed they wasted their time again lol

the knife isnt all that special, just helps with blood rituals and the like and defense. he can imbue the blade with say poison magic and physically defend himself with it but usually doesnt need that. he’s. okay at hand to hand combat. he knows your pressure points and how best to break ur bones lol. an anatomy guru for many species lol

Khystophylus is his patron god ofc. A deity of eternity/a guardian between worlds. good to ask favor from when summoning the dead and monsters/spirits. like he’s mainly a necromancer but can summon other shit too

also makes teleportation/portal magic easier

Khystophylus is p chill but hardly anyone knows about them or makes proper sacrifices to them so they are more than happy to lend their infinite power to this guy. krzyzstof is very clean. he doesn’t leave blood and entrails laying around. wosh ur self looking ass

i don’t think he is evil really. more like. necessary darkness in the world to balance things out. really, I think it’s more like you can hire him to perform burial rites for safe soul passage into paradise from khys. maybe sometimes he can fully resurrect a dead person but he’ll charge a higher fee and can only do it so many time a day/week just bc it takes effort. that and im p sure khys would get annoyed dragging a dozen souls outta the afterlife every day

that and the longer they have been dead, the harder it is to bring them back, but its always possible. nercomancy is just really advanced healing. you need to completely restore a body before shoving the soul back inside, right? just making zombies/skeletons is easy tho and he can make a small army in a day or two if he has enough bodies to work with

lol he would cast an air purifying spell every time too. he’s used to the stink ofc but he still doesn’t /enjoy/ it

ofc he has skeleton and lich dragons guarding his small abandoned fortress with lich sorcerers around as well. basically anything he summons is completely loyal ofc but some are lowkey sentient, at least enough to be competent fighters or warlocks

if his life was in true peril, khys would save him by sending an eldrich minion to whisk him away or like. block the attack by shoving their arm through a portal, i doubt they would ever fully enter the mortal world tho bc they would break reality by doing that being a truly immortal and all powerful being but yeah

Khystophylus would be a big lad. skyscraper or bigger, though size is just an illusion so it can be manipulated.

has Krzyzstof made human sacrifices before? i wanna say yes. def sacrificed already dead bodies up for khys and animals but maybe recently deceased criminals who were executed or were going to be executed. he probs gets a legal pardon for taking sacrifices from the death row jail. it’s a public service. some people are scared af of him others are like: “oh yeah that guy? he’s nice, he helped my nephew pass his wizardry exam and resurrected my daughter’s cat to live another 10 years, real nice guy. good at baking too”

i’d say he’s lawful neutral then. he never breaks the rules of summoning/practicing magic. he owns his land legally and pays his taxes lol. if he gets drafted he helps in the army in the medical side of things while also bolstering their forces with undead troops

neutral bc like i said he can and will kill others for his gain but not out of any malice, only if they deserve to die for being an enemy or already committed heinous crimes

he’s decently skilled with a variety of topics on poisons, potions, healing, elemental magic basics, ect. to bring people back from the dead, you need to know all they ways they could have died and how to heal all of that mess or put them back into said grave if they turn out to be an asshole upon being brought back to life.

so he’d be on the short list for the world best magic users but not like. world conquering most likely. at least he would never have the gumption/motivation to do such a thing, sounds like a hassle tbh.

anyway!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH,,, ed ( @tactfulgrimalkin ) is the one doing the actual writing but we plan everything together and i edit and do artwork so he deserves lots of love for the great writing…i dont remember what else i had here before tumblr deleted it so i hope thats the gist of it

eodwulf is a gay disaster of a bastard man and astrid is SO fun and im SO GLAD UR EXCITED TOO BECAUSE WE SURE ARE

anyway you just opened pandora’s box and i’m very sorry for the length of the rest of this answer but here we go prepare for some cursed content necessary to answer that question ( | ) w ( | ) it was a Wild Ride getting these two characters to where they are boy howdy

so the thing is in order to explain how we created these characters i actually have to get into the origins of the fic on the whole because the two are inextricably linked, and also, the origins of this fic are incredibly cursed and you can send all ur hatemail right here go on blast us we’re ready

but we were talking about caleb and how we’re both excited for whenever astrid and eodwulf turn up, and the thought came up for basically the rough skeleton of that scene in chapter 2:

“hey how messed up would it be if instead of them both hunting him down like we’re expecting…one of them comes in with a huge savior complex and sincerely thinks he’s delusional and should still be in the asylum, how MESSED UP would that be”

…and then shortly after that, this happened

ANYWAY

in classic us format we got carried away and eodwulf got slotted into the role of that scene in chapter two and his character was largely developed around that scene, like, what kind of person would still be clinging to caleb after all this time to that degree to make that happen? and what was come up with was an extremely avoidant person clinging to a fantasy version of things wherein they don’t have to fight

(eodwulf was developed into a Person before astrid, i should note at this point, and ed did most of that developing; i took point on astrid later on)

but around this time i went “screw it im gonna do some concept art we’re both in too deep now” so here’s some of that for u guys

started with them all as teens and did a couple sketches as well as one of baby (well. teen. so baby) caleb/bren/we were calling him felix at the time as some of u probably already know

first draft had astrid with longer hair than eodwulf lmao check this out

flipped the hair length on those two which was for the best because at the time we were imagining eodwulf as a bit more mischevious which is another thing that got reversed over time now astrids the prankster and eodwulfs the overworked mom friend because bren takes astrid’s ideas and makes them SO MUCH WORSE but he still looks better with longer hair and then i played around w/ colors for a while and wound up w/ this

voila, the initial kid concepts, to which subtle yet vital changes were made after time. if any of you are curious about if im frustrated that that’s still the best i’ve ever drawn eodwulf’s nose the answer is yes. yes i am.

astrid’s hair is not messy enough, theres not enough freckles, and she does not look ready to fight the entire world for a dare. 0/10.

anyway then i did adult versions which look WAY OFF NOW LMAO

eodwulf with way too much beard, looking far too messy when he ought to look very clean so that he can hide how much of a disaster he actually is, and also a glimpse into the very boring Ice Queen/Heartless Bitch we vaguely had astrid as to start with. even more out of character tho is the earring, astrid as she is today would absolutely never tolerate an earring unless she absolutely had to, girl’s got sensory issues but she didn’t back then. ALSO STILL NOT ENOUGH FRECKLE

anyWHO a while after this it was decided that eodwulf has ADHD, something both the authors have a whole lot of lmao, and that was the point where ed REALLY took off and developing eodwulf went out of control and we both went Well I Guess We’re Gonna Have To Write This At Some Point Now

and with that happening is when developing astrid took more priority i think, because man, at that point in the game she came way too close to that really annoying trope that shows up in fanfic a lot wherein The Girl is A Bitch who is Getting In The Way Of ~*The Yaois*~ and thats like, thats bad. we knew from the outset we were absolutely not setting this up as a love triangle because we both hate those but even w/ her having no romantic relationship to either of the two, like…she was kind of just There and the one who was most loyal to trent (the only thing of her original characterization that really stuck, honestly) and sooo boring????

so like, and i say this honestly, i managed to COMPLETELY FORGET that “reverse sasuke” cursed comment from the beginning of all this and STILL go “well what if we made her more like caleb’s rival that’d be fun”

and that’s how astrid sorta wound up accidentally morphing into the Scrappy Underdog of this anime trio and calling her a naruto analogue is extremely cursed but also not inaccurate tbh

started out with the concept of her popping into bren’s window because she heard they were doing magic and wanted to learn it too and evolved from there; we decided that she was gonna be neurodivergent too but, hilariously, initially that she was “the best at pretending to be neurotypical” (WE COMPLETELY REVERSED THAT AND IT IS FOR THE BETTER. SHE’S SO MUCH MORE FUN NOW) and made her also autistic because it one meant she could be like SAME HAT at bren really hard which’d make her feel more like part of the group instead of just the odd one out, and two because it fits with the whole rivals thing

branching off of that we made her just. INCREDIBLY direct. like. astrid’s thought process is “how can i accomplish what i want accomplished with the smallest number of steps? what are the consequences of doing it this way? do i give a shit? no? im gonna do that.”

(which is why she climbed a tree to get into bren’s attic instead of using the door because that way she just completely skipped having to convince his mom to let her in)

i cant get into it much here because so many spoilers and we’re gonna explore it all, but like, astrid’s backstory turned into this exploration of the intersection of sexism and ableism especially as applied to a medieval-esque society in which the word “autism” doesn’t even EXIST and in which a convenient double standard exists Right There in the form of bren and like,, its gonna be good guys im excited for it

as far as characters tho she does also have just a touch of Vimes from discworld to her, albeit like, she’s lawful evil to his lawful good, but she’s got the same tendency to stick REALLY FIERCELY to the rules that she thinks are important, even when they inconvenience her, even if it’d be so much easier to bend them just this once

and for songs i cannot link like any astrid songs because they all might accidentally give away so much BUT I CAN LINK AN EODWULF SONG

They believe they’re magical; they want to live in the performing art city; not where they are now.Cuckoo Clock- Ditzy, loopy, high (off of life jahdhssh) never thinks twice, vulnerable to ALL danger. Has one brain cell sjdjjdjxSticky Notes- Very moody, each color sticky note is a different mood (green-happy, red-angry, Yellow-afraid, etc.), works 3 jobs, just. Tired FOODSJelly Bean- Sweet! When she’s running low, she’ll be very sluggish, and won’t know whats going on.Virus- Knows about all sicknesses and diseases. They’re the doctor of the group, but don’t get too close- they’ll get someone sick. They’re mostly bossy and they lead everyone else in the city.Glitch-In constant pain. They don’t remember what happened that made them this way. They believe that everything in this utopia isn’t well, but can never speak it out. No one knows about their past…Magma- Bold and fanatical, he thinks he’s the greatest in the city. He gets called Lava by a LOT of the objects; and this ticks him off.SO!!!! ▸ IS YOUR MUSE TALL / SHORT / AVERAGE ? tall for a mobian, short for a human. he’s 4′11 which means he towers over most smaller animals, but to a human he’s... below average, for sure. not that reduces his intimidation factor by much I’d think

▸ ARE THEY OKAY WITH THEIR HEIGHT ? yeah he’s alright. he doesn’t judge his own appearance much because his programming focuses a lot on working with what he’s got? like if his arm broke off he’d still keep trucking, so imagining himself but taller or shorter is not something he’d really think to do because he’s just working on operating the body he has. if he wanted to be taller it’d be so that he could be more intimidating, but also he’s pretty logical and understands he’d never fit through a single door then

▸ DO THEY SPEND A LOT OF TIME ON THEIR HAIR / GROOMING ? absolutely not. it’s one thing for him to seek out repairs to keep his systems operating within normal parameters, but things like scraped up paint and laser burns? he doesn’t care. if anything he’s pretty sure that stuff makes him more intimidating so he’s in no rush to get it fixed

▸ DOES YOUR MUSE CARE ABOUT THEIR APPEARANCE / WHAT OTHERS THINK ? he doesn’t care what others think. however. he does want to be intimidating at all times, so he cares in that sense. he really doesn’t have the capacity to care about aesthetics and such, so like, if he looks clunky he doesn’t mind? but if people aren’t afraid of his big ol’ claws and frankly disgusting amount of guns, then he’s not gonna be so happy

▸ INDOORS OR OUTDOORS ?

either. indoors is safer from weather but also very confining if it’s built for mobian sizes. on the bright side, indoors can easily become outdoors with enough gunfire, so maybe indoors is nice because it gives him options

▸ RAIN OR SUNSHINE ? sunshine. he’s watertight but if he’s taken any damage he’ll not want water getting inside his electronics. the sun can get hot but he’s equipped with some pretty heavy-duty fans, I mean, he was literally running around in a volcano in 06 for one example, ▸ FOREST OR BEACH ? beaches aren’t great because sand can get up in his systems, so even though forests are full of obstacles that give his sensors trouble, he’d probably still prefer them to cleaning sand out of his weapons ▸ PRECIOUS METALS OR GEMS ? precious metals are weak and generally unhelpful. there’s a few rare metals that are very important for electronics though so if those were included he’d probably pick metals ▸ FLOWERS OR PERFUMES ? neither really appeal to him, but flowers are a physical thing that more people seem to like over perfume, so he’d just default to flowers ▸ PERSONALITY OR APPEARANCE ? personality because he has no personal sense of aesthetics ▸ BEING ALONE OR BEING IN A CROWD ? alone. he has like two or three friends and that’s not a crowd despite that colloquialism to the contrary so he’d never prefer a crowd. also he’ll just inadvertently beat someone up by moving around in a space that’s too tightly packed and that’s not ideal for anyone ▸ ORDER OR ANARCHY ? anarchy. do what you want when you want and the only limit is your personal ability. he’d be living ▸ PAINFUL TRUTHS OR WHITE LIES ? painful truth because I don’t know if he could actually tell a convincing white lie

im joking but I don’t think he could emotionally break down. the closest he could get is like... trying to process too many emotions at once. because, I mean, you know how computers get really slow when they’re trying to handle a bunch of different large things at the same time? it’s like that. but it’s also really difficult for him to reach that point because part of his versatility as a robot weapon is adapting to situations, and of course reallocating processes as is needed for him to run optimally

physically if he breaks down he will just keep going because, again, he’s made to be adaptable and he’ll fight til he can’t anymore

What music they enjoy: he unironically listens to nightcore (also probably a lot of furry rave suitable electronic/edm/dance plus a lot of obnoxious stuff like dubstep dnb etc)

How much time they spend getting ready every morning: 30 mins idk..... he actually does have a routine he sticks to that isn’t too bad, although he can get a bit finicky about his appearance esp his hair. he takes longer if he’s picking out clothes rather than just donning his work uniform

Their favorite thing to collect: nerdy merchandise.................. god, asura HAVE TO have at least One anime and he’s very into it. also SAB paraphernalia. also tends to amass computer parts (usually like, taken home from work/given to him from IT pals/given to him to beta test) for his computer building projects

A weird/obscure fear they have: plex can be a bit impressionable wrt superstitions and scary things so if you jokingly tell him about something (think akin to the myth that watermelon seeds will sprout in ur stomach) despite logically knowing better he will continue to get nervous about it

The carnival/arcade game they always win without fail: if he’s at a carnival he got dragged there and would suck at it, though he’d be much more down for voluntarily going to arcades and would be semi-decent at a lot of the games

1. Maki for u’s, You and Mari for Aqours (Yoshiko used to be one of my Aqours best girls, but she’s slipped a lil, mostly due to lack of appearances in SIF =_=)

2. I really like Yuu Aizawa, the sleepy stargazer. Her cards are really cute too ;3;

3. Nobody in PDP really sticks out for me right now, while I do still like them. If i had to choose tho, either Ai or Rina, just for both of them bein interesting

4. Only been playing since about October I think. More around the latter half of October just cos I vaguely recall not finishing the daily login calendar before it started fresh for November. But hey, I’ve stuck in longer w/ this than i have most things lol, maybe ill be able to make it to a year played!

5. Only on EN, though I have 2 accounts; my main, which was actually given to me by a friend who didn’t use it anymore, so I technically started from something that already had some progress to it, and my side account, which is more for casual playing

6. As of right now and what songs are available on EN, I’ve cleared nearly every song available. I’ll admit ive gotten a little lazy with my Easy and Normal songs since I mainly play Expert now, but with the current limited time goal to full combo 75 times, im goin back to my Easy and Normal songs and I’m clearing them to also fulfil that goal.

Masters tho, lol I don’t touch those. Maybe a couple, but I dont count (not that I can anyway since they leave rotation after a while lol)

7. Admittedly, mostly Hard songs, just cos they still feel kinda fun but cos they’re slightly easier than Expert songs (obvs) they feel a little less stressful to play. :’D Some stand outs include Zurui yo Magnetic Today, Strawberry Trapper and Kimeta yo Hand in Hand.

(Which as a lil bit of bonus trivia, are all also songs I struggle w/ on EX :’D)

And a few Dailies as well (still on Hard) like Kohaku Biyori and Otome Shiki Renai Juku

8. Currently on my main i have the Aqours 3rd year badge (I think I equipped it as a good luck thing when I was scouting for V-day Mari) and my background is the UTX cafeteria to fit v-day Mari, who’s also my partner :’D

My side account, I just have the BiBi badge and I’m using the recent Aqours boat background

nah but seriously, I am Smile cursed like fuck (yet mostly w/ SSRs, haven’t gotten a Smile UR yet aside from Fruits Eli who came with my account), but my Pure luck w/ u’s is terrible. My Cool luck is alright tho, given that I’ve got a few SSRs and two of the 3 Cool URs I have are scorers :’D

My side account is much more Cool cursed tho, and once again, my Pure team seems to be suffering rip

10. I have one example that I can list for the next point on this list, so I’ll list the other story I have;

I was scouting for Christmas You back when she came to EN, and the first scout I did (with a 10+1 ticket) crashed my game 8′’) so I didnt get to see the box open

So i booted my game up, kinda panicking in case I lost the scout after saving that ticket (that i’d bought w/ actual money). Went to the scouting screen first; red ticket option wasn’t available. Went to my member list and ordered by newest.

And You’s Initial UR was just sitting in my inventory 8′’D

(I’m still kinda salty I didn’t get Christmas You, but I still got a UR of her so… eh? 8′D Hopefully her Cyber card comes home when I scout for it!)

11. Literally all the best scouting luck I have seems to go toward my side account, cos I have 2 URs on there, and they’re both idolised 8′D

Like I’ve told both these stories on here before but fuckit, I’ll tell em again briefly;

I once used the green ticket you get w/ a new account just to scout and get a goal done w/ plus get another ticket; out comes Devil Nico

Later I had enough blue coupons to do a blue coupon scout; its a UR envelope, and its Devil Nico again 8′D

and now recently, I did two scouts for Animal Yoshiko; got her in both scouts, and she’s idolised as well.

12. Okay, so obvs anyone would say getting a single SR or SSR pull, and I’ve had those before, but I might as well talk about a scout i did on my main, back when Job Kanan was on EN

Ive got some 10+1 tickets and Im saving them to scout for both Angel Mari and Cyber You, but i decided to use one for the Job set, cos I could get another one when the start of the month packs came out

It was a single SSR

and it was Initial Mari

whom I already have, and idolised as well 8′D not even any rate up cards

the only plus side was that it meant a skill up for her and an SS seal for me

14. Aside from scouting goals, cos I know there’s a point for that specifically, I’m mainly focusing on trying to improve playing Expert songs :’D and get Full Combos

16. You’s Valentines SSR *3* People joked when it first came out that it looks like Maki’s Cooking UR, but tbh, i both don’t care, but I’m also amused considering I love that card as well :’D

I’d say every Mari card, but I’m ridiculously Mari blessed so I’m honestly expecting to get them lol

17. Maki’s Cafe Maid SR ;3; That was the first card I’d idolised myself, and she looks so gorgeous. This one card is part of the reason why the Cafe Maid set is my favourite.

Also, Mari’s Halloween SR~

And I’m gonna leave it at those two cos they stand out most, cos otherwise I’d be here forever talking about every card I love :’D Also keeping it just to SRs for the same reason lol

18. I’ve tiered in every event since the YouMaru Token Event. Cos You at the time was the tier reward :’D

a few events I got kinda lazy and only hit T3, but otherwise, I’ve tiered for every one

(Well, I got a little too lazy during New Year Nozomi’s event, so I didn’t actually get her ;3; not even her points card. Doesn’t help that it was my first score match, and I’ve hated them since)

I tried to get into T1 since I was so close, but i was also wary about spending loads of gems cos Christmas You was literally coming out as soon as the event was done and I was saving for her.

But I risked it

I think it was the update to include the LP multiplier that made that event a lil more competitive

20. Either YouMaru for bein my first time tiering or YohaRuby since that’s the 1st time - and currently only - that I cleared all the points rewards :D

I’ve taken part in every event since I started playing SIF, so aside from the obvious answer of “Events that happened before I started” (Like the School Idol Diary events, or most of Maki’s events, she has some really pretty event cards ;3;), I’d say the event going on when I started, which was the DiaRuby Tanabata Score Match

Granted, when I started I didn’t know the game so I figured I’d take my time with it and take part in the next event, plus at the time I didn’t really know Aqours

Still feel a lil bad I didn’t try :’D

22. The recent YohaMari new years cards~ Told myself when the event came out on JP that I’d tier for it, and so I did :D

they’re both so pretty!

I also really like the DiaRiko ice skating cards, even if I didn’t properly take part in that event ;3; (I got T3 so I still got a copy of Dia)

And finally, partially just cos OTP, I’m fond of the Helper ChikaYou cards :3

And I’m gonna leave that list there for now, cos I actually like a few others, but this entire thing is already long enough 8′D

23. Probably Token events, cos they feel a little more chill?

I also quite like Challenge Festivals; the lil chibis are nice :D

24. I have no clue. I’m seen other people say SIF could do a thing like what FE Heroes does with its gauntlets, and while I do think it’d be interesting, I also see how FEH’s gauntlets turn out, and I feel like a popularity contest would just turn into a mess in SIF given how “best girl” opinions get.

Not to mention there’s a possible risk of what happens in FEH as well; that some people might not actually back their favourite and instead back whoever’s doing the best.

25. Mari for Aqours, Nico for u’s :’D

Kanan’s a close 2nd for Aqours and I thiiiink Nozomi might be 2nd for u’s??

not nearly as much of You or Maki tho ;3;

26. I don’t have an awful lot of cards from one particular set, but from what I can count, its a tie between Aqours’ swimsuit set and Valentines set; 5 each

27. Mostly Aqours cos I love them so much, plus its a little easier to scout them since they come out after events while u’s come out during events, and any gems I have are goin toward the event or bein saved

As for girls, mostly You and Mari (tho like ive said, I’m seriously Mari blessed, so I almost expect her to come home lol), and if I do scout u’s, it’d probably be for Maki

28. I have a fair few now, and they’re all from login bonuses, aside from a handful which I got from the sticker shop

I’ve gotten all the login promos for EN since Cherry Pana

And I also got Christmas Maki when she was added to the sticker shop for a limited time :D

As for non-UR promos, I have nearly all the Angelic Angel promo Rs, plus Maki’s SoreBoku R (to match a figure I have of her :D)

Genuinely tho, my gems mostly go toward events, since I tend to stick in at them. But I can still save (I saved for Christmas You after all)

Rn, i’m trying to save. I’m telling myself it’ll either be for Angel Mari or Cyber You, but if I don’t gem scout either of them, then I’ll basically keep saving till whenever for whatever

Honoka - Circus - I actually quite like the Circus set in general; the tutu-d leotards in the unidolised, and the details in the idolised, like the hats and the frills~Eli - Rock - I skipped mentioning this one under the event cards point since that bit was gettin busy as it was, But I can cheat and mention it here~Kotori - Pajama Party - So plush~ her little braid in the idolised looks so cute~ especially peaking out of her fluffy birb hoodUmi - Seven Lucky Gods - It looks so elegant and pretty ;3;Rin - lilywhite default - So this is a promo card that came w/ lilywhite’s final single (The other members had similar cards and the other singles had similar releases), so its never coming to EN unless KLab adds it to the sticker shop :’’) But I still really like this one, just for how dainty and elegant it is. It suits Rin~Maki - Cafe Maid - I could technically use this opportunity to pick another card of Maki’s that i really love but...bruh I can’t. Cafe Maid ;3;Nozomi - Fairy - the Fairy set in general is really pretty ;3; I love the little details and flowers, and I like that Nozomi’s ear is actually kinda pointed as well~Hanayo - Cherry - Another promo, but this one just looks so shiny and sparkly, and again, just the little details in this~Nico - Dancer - Another really elegant looking one. Bonus points for having Nico’s hair down, cos I really do think she looks nice like that~

Chika - Initial UR - She looks so happy, and honestly the lighting in both versions looks so nice!Riko - Ice Skating - Genuinely couldn’t think of one that I really liked :’D So I’m listing the event card againKanan - Yukata - I own this card, she was my first UR :D So I do have a bit of a soft spot for it. Helps that she looks so pretty in it~Dia - Job - I’ll admit,she looks gorgeous as fuck! damn beautiful card!You - all of them Animal - okay, i legit love all of You’s cards, and I was half tempted to say her Aquarium R cos my genuine reaction to idolising her for the first time was “She’s so pretty!”. But Animal You tho... ;3; Tho if I’m honest, I genuinely do love all of her cards!!Yoshiko - Animal - She’s a shit scorer, but damn her card looks amazing, particularly the idolised. I love the pastelle colours of her dress (and the other girls in the set) and I love her dynamic pose, and her hair and how its floating in the water~Hanamaru - Angel - She looks so cute w/ her sleepy expression in the unidolised, hugging that lil star pillow. Plus Angel just as a whole is a nice set.Mari - Circus - Another case like with You where I could easily say “all of them”, but something about her Circus card. I love the post of the unidolised with her doing the rope climbing, and then pink corset of her dress in the idolised~ And that lil puppet~~Ruby - Time Traveller - I quite like this set in general; Ruby’s outfit is so cute in both versions~

Drai-nugget Hcs (you asked for it em). Also major credit to @softdavos bc she really helped bc hcs?? What are those?

(so this is basically a transcript of Emily and I’sconversation bc I really don’t know how to make it flow any other way. Also itstarted off as strictly Leon/Nuge and kind morphed to include half the team,but just go with it)

Nuge is a quite, standoffish guy, whereas Leoncarries a subtle confidence and chooses to take the lead in most of the stepsthey take.

We acknowledge they’re both giant dorks, nomatter how quiet they keep it. (Keep lotr in mind bc that will come into playlater)

After Leon gets up the goods to ask Nuge if hewants to hang out some time, “You know, just the two of us”, Nuge decides toinvite Leon to horseback riding, he has to check on the horses alright.

Leon is a little frightened by the idea and itsnot the ‘giant animal’ part, no, it’s the ‘what if I fall of and breaksomething and can’t play hockey for the rest of the season’ part

After he gets over that and the incredibly snugriding pants, he picks up the whole thing like a champ

And if Nuge is a little flustered its obviouslyover how easily Leon has bonded with the horse and is riding like a natural (imsorry) and certainly not because of those fucking pants

Leon is completely smitten with the way Nugeseems to relax while around the horses. His smile comes easily and he goes alittle soft.

He gets lost in the way Ryan talks about thehorses while he’s brushing them out. How passionate Ryan is about taking careof them. Ryan realizes he’s rambling, so he looks up to find Leon staring athim with this awe and fondness and that soft smile on his face. This is kind ofa lot so Nuge drops his head, flushing, and quirks his mouth and boy if Leon wasn’tgone on dimples before, he is now

Leon kinda freaks out about this feeling in hischest whenever he sees Nuge smile during practice, so naturally he goes to theresident team dads (Lucic, Ference and Maroon) for help. Their advice: startsmall, take him out for lunch.

Meanwhile Ebs catches how often Ryan has beenlooking at Leon and one day during practice has to bump Nuge to move up fordrills. Ryan turns to him and gives him this ‘what’ look, saying that he justzoned out for a second. Ebs smirks and just goes “Yeah, I’ve noticed”. (bc ryanwill never ever be the one to acknowledge his feelings)

Now on to the important part: shovel talk

They each have a take. Ference is here for Leon,his son. While Lucic is protective of Nuge, his liney who he will not hesitateto fight for, and already has. Patty is quite impartial (Connor is his fave,sue him) ((lbr tho they’re all protective of eachother so it doesn’t reallywork out does it))

Connor, the sweet bby Captain he is also has histake on said shovel talk. However, it consists of “I’m really happy for you!!But..” “Don’t ever hurt Leon” and “Please don’t make Ryan sad” “Then everyonewill be sad” “That isn’t cool, that’ll mess with the team dynamic”. Pat walksin on this and proceeds to drag Connor out of the room while Connor has this“do it for me” look in his eye (look cons rly invested in these two, like jesusgo find something else to spend time on) and Pat then promptly tells Nuge andLeon how it’ll be if someone gets hurt and scares the shit out of them.

Ebs also pulls Leon aside one day after practiceand goes “Hey man, just don’t hurt him,” no threats or anything andhonestly that’s the scariest talk bc Ebs could get anyone to do his bidding(it’s the sleepy eyes)

(Queue the part where we talked about connor andhis opinions on pride and prejudice? I don’t even know and also key factor: remember the lotr part?)

They’re both huge nerds and I can guarantee Leonhas the whole lotr series in German and forces Ryan to sit through at least oneand read the subtitles

Speaking of: that’s when they were first kind ofsaw each other as possibilities. One day after practice they’re all gathered inthe dressing room and Ebs is chirping Nuge for making him watch Lotr for themillionth time, “Come on, why can’t I ever choose the movie? We get togetherevery week and I can only hear Smeagol so many times,” queue up the ultimaterom-com moment where all the boys are laughing and then Nuge and Leon decide topipe up and say “Hey! It won 17 oscars!” at the same time (bc yes they’re those people). They both meet eyesacross the dressing room and it’s kind of that ‘Hm’ moment where they hadn’tconsidered it before bc they’ve got hockey to play, they don’t have time tofocus on whether or not they’re attracted to a certain teammate.

(I also need you to acknowledge that Ebs is infact a lotr fan and has dressed up as a hobbit at least three times in his lifefor Halloween)

I feel like Nuge is a very quiet and closedoff person. He doesn’t bring his personal shit to the rink and Leon’s firstreal look at a Ryan that isn’t so focused on hockey all the time is when theygo riding.

Leon’s responsible for breaking down a lot ofRyan’s walls (not that he’s had any issues) just that he’s very private andLeon gets him to open up like a book, not that it doesn’t take a lot of time.

Leon is a giant teddy bear and is ready forcuddles at anytime. Ryan, however, is not a touchy person. Sure, he’ll allowhimself to be held after a tough loss and knows when he needs it to feelbetter, but there’s absolutely no pda. That’s just not their thing, even Leon’sa more ‘this is a private thing that’s meant for only us’ person and he’s goodwith whatever Ryan is up for. Sometimes if Ryan is in a good mood and feelinggenerous, he’ll hold Leon’s hand under the table at a restaurant or brush theirfingers together while they’re walking but that’s about as far as it goes.

All around they’re just soft bros and rly deservingof some love.

Well alrighty then, there’s that.
