Ugh y’all the equal parts excitement to watch OF because it’s genuinely such good queer writing but also the anxiety to watch OF because it’s such good QUEER WRITING is hitting hard today.

Okay who was gonna tell me how FUCKING FANTASTIC Robin's podcast is????
Like it absolutely everything I wanted from Stranger things as a queer person:
An inside on Robin's psyche
Robin having a special bond with her English teacher (you know, ✨THE GAY EXPERIENCE✨)
A hint that Barbara was "different like Robin" and what that could mean to her friendship with Nancy (i always shipped them btw)
teen angst
existentialism
QUEER PEOPLE TALKING ABOUT HOW ISOLATING IT FEELS TO BE DIFFERENT BUT BEING THERE TO COMFORT EACH OTHER (not like that bullshit they pulled Will thought...)
And Robin experience hits so hard as a queer woman
I was just complaining about how we lack Stranger Things content... please go listen to this, IT SO WELL WRITTEN AND ACTED
Also, if nothing I said before convinced you... Maya herself voices Robin THE RASPINESS IN HER VOICE *proceeds to pass away due to my attraction to this woman*
[It's called Rebel Robin: Surviving Hawkins and it's free on Spotify :) ]

¨Poem by Karin Boye - "Ja, visst gör det ont när knoppar brister"

Honest to god Titans Tower is probably the funniest thing that's ever happened in comics to me? Like, there's so much to unpack here it's insane?? The tear-away stripper Red Hood costume? The knock-off Robin costume with the stupid ass yellow tights that somehow looks worse than if Jason just rocked the bare thighs? The way Jason is drawn like he is fully 35 with two stepkids and a mortgage? Jason inventing fanfiction about Tim and Bruce's relationship in his head because he refuses to believe Tim actually stalked his way into being Robin?? Trying to mimic his crowbar death by beating Tim with his own staff but I as a reader am entirely unable to take it seriously because of those stupid fucking tights-
And then you get to Tim's side of things and he says like, all of 5 things the entire time and three of them are a coded 'fuck you'. He has absolutely no time or respect for Jason's pity party and it's actually hysterical because Jason cannot stop yapping. Meanwhile, Tim is like, definitely losing the fight which makes it funnier??
Then the ending?? Jason scrawling "Jason Todd was here" on the wall in blood (or red paint meant to look like blood, up in the air) and signing it with a handprint like he's a middle schooler who just discovered Creepypasta???? Ripping the 'R' off Tim's costume when he's literally already unconscious?? Zipping away from the scene thinking "damn I actually like that kid, wish I had friends tbh"??
And then it's literally never brought up again.

@petricorah got an ask about betrothal swords and i just HAD to do a quick mock-up
betrothal necklaces and arm bands are OVER, this is the best idea ever!!
Zuko's swords:
The blades are also made of meteor now
"Never give up without a fight" which we see on Zuko's knife in the "Zuko Alone" episode translates to four characters. The first two are inscribed near the base of one of the swords in seal script, and the last two are likewise inscribed on the other sword
The lanyards on the handles are beaded braids of Sokka's hair because I'm still obsessed with hair and all the meanings it has in the Fire Nation
The scabbard is decorated with a combination of gold-carved meteor and dragon scales gifted to Aang by Ran and Shaw, which Aang gifted to Sokka to add to the sword.
The meteor has four detailed sections. The first section shows symbols of the Fire Nation, the second section shows symbols of the Water Tribe, the third section shows a new symbol that is a combination of Water and Fire. The fourth section is basically a stylized heart.
The details on the handles are carved so that one sword is Fire/sun themed and the other is Water/moon themed
Sokka's sword:
This is a simpler design, still made of meteor
A haiku Zuko wrote for Sokka is etched into the blade in gold seal script characters
The grip, as well as the majority of the scabbard are carved from a hybrid tree I've just invented called sakaki cedar because I love the symbolism
Other details are carved from bone, like the sun-themed guard and the moon-themed pommel.
Similar to Zuko's scabbard, Sokka's has four bone-carved sections. The top is a combination of sun and moon representing the union between Sokka and Zuko and their nations. The second is a Fire symbol, the third Water, and the fourth is a sort of yin-yang heart thing reminiscent of the fish in the Spirit Oasis in the North Pole.
The tassel/lanyard of the sword is also. Zuko's hair.

Since I posted some of my old fanart yesterday... if you're not familiar with Slayers, and thus have never heard its amazing music, do check it out.
It's largely by the same songwriter, Masami Okui, that did Utena's iconic opening (Rinbu Revolution) and ofc (TRUTH) and sung by a duo of her and Hayashibara Megumi (you know, the GOAT)
The entire OST pretty much slaps. there's only a couple of bad image songs in an absolute expanse of pure gold. GIVE A REASON, the opening to the second season, tends to be the reigning favorite. (I've a hard time pinning down my absolute favorite... of the original openings, it might be Breeze, but all three are so good. Of the entire catalog? Impossible to choose. Midnight Blue, Raging Waves, Within my Unlimited Desires, Gloria, Get Along... Impossible Choice)
