If you really think about it, the ship where Alastor would be involved in that would most likely be canon so far would be Charlastor.
I mean, he despises Lucifer and sees Vox as not worth his time, so he's not gonna be throwing himself all over them anytime soon. Nearly everyone he interacts with besides the three women he's friends with, he's either indifferent, respectable or hostile to, but towards Charlie? This man has allowed her to touch him without permission, stated multiple times that he has faith in her beliefs and even handed her his source of power. Twice.
I'm aware he's doing all this with some underlying motive, but you can't deny he won't do all this for just anyone. I really can't imagine him all comfortably curled up in Angel's bed or getting handsy with Lucifer (He wipes his hands after touching him, man really doesn't like him at all). I support all ships with Alastor but if we're looking at this at a canon perspective, Alastor interacts with Charlie the most and will continue to interact with her as the show goes on, it's more possible to happen in a sense with Alastor.
Plus with all the romantic cues the show has (Unintentionally?) given so far, with the part where both Charlie and Alastor are laying on the heart shaped pillow but Charlie falls off the bed while Alastor remains on top off it, it seems that there could be a very small possibility that there might be an unrequited crush on Alastor's part.
Yeah, it's a stretch, but hey, he didn't have to lay in that bed. He could have stayed standing, looming over Charlie to show that he might be helping her but he still sees himself as above her and in control of the situation. But! Someone still animated him on that bed! They still animated him on that heart shaped pillow right beside Charlie! They didn't have to, but they still did and my minds still reeling after that fact.
No because you’re absolutely correct here.
Out of any of the characters in the series for Alastor to end up with, if he were to have a romantic subplot of any kind, it would be Charlie. They have the most potential together as a pairing and there have been so many little hints and visual cues that I’m honestly shocked that a romance plot isn’t where their relationship is going.
I genuinely cannot see Alastor ever engaging in anything romantic or physical with Vox or Lucifer in any way. And whenever I say that people like to excuse me of hating gay ships (which I clearly don’t. I am queer, and I love seeing queer ships that actually make sense and have good chemistry, and not just because they’re gay). It’s because he canonly hates men and is much kinder towards women—except for Vaggie lol. Yes, ship Alastor with whoever you want. It’s not my place to tell you if your ship is bad or not. I honestly don’t care because it’s your opinion and as long as you’re having fun with it, that’s all that matters!
But like anon is saying here, if we’re looking at it from a canon viewpoint, let’s think about it. Again, Alastor clearly doesn’t like men and can’t even be bothered to shake Lucifer’s hand without being disgusted. There have been three women who could be potential love interests. First is Mimzy, which I can see there may have been some flirtation here and there in the past, or even an unrequited crush on her part. But with her basically using him to get her out of trouble all the time, I can’t see them going beyond their on-and-off friendship. Then there’s Rosie, who he’s obviously very comfortable around and lets her touch and grab him as she pleases—which he wouldn’t let slide with any male characters in the show. And the Radiorose ship is cute I admit, but to me they’re a pair of gossip buddies who would maybe pretend to be in a relationship if needed, but otherwise their feelings don’t go any further than platonic.
And so that leaves us with Charlie. When I first watched the pilot I absolutely assumed they were going to have some kind of slow burn, not only because the idea of the princess of Hell and this feared Radio Demon falling for each other is so intriguing, but generally just the way they acted with each other. In like a span of eight minutes they were happily dancing together, with Alastor calling her one of a kind, tossing her around and making improvements to her dream hotel.
You can imagine how surprised I was when I found out they weren’t canon and weren’t going to be in the actual show. Like, I was legit going “🤨🤨🤨” and this was before I was even in the fandom lmao
And thank you so much for mentioning that scene in her bedroom because…
What is this. What do you mean the mfs making this show drew out this scene, carefully looked at every detail for the final product, and went “yup👍” if there wasn’t supposed to be something more going on here???
Like seriously if you’ve never watched this episode and you saw these two frames, what exactly would you assume is going on here? Be honest with me

I've also been pondering George's role in all the girl Paul/John business, and I feel like he and Paul had their first kiss with each other and Jim always wished Paul would end up with George instead of John, but it didn't take long for George to figure out she just wasn't into him like that. John is definitely a giant competitive dick toward George for a while when he first joins the band, but eventually they decide to put aside fighting for Paul's attention and form their own closeness which they frequently ostracize her from, leading Paul to ironically feel like she has to compete with John for George's friendship. Also, the media deeefinitely milks the love triangle for all it's worth with them. (Not to mention the Paul/Yoko catfight lol, which they always deny but in ways that just keep fanning the tension. Also Yoko gets really put out whenever Paul/Linda don't invite her to their sapphic potlucks)
God, okay, I’ve actually thought about this a stupid amount because obviously when she meets John (and George) Paul’s still young enough that she’s still in that comp het mentality. Like she feels so different from other girls because sure Elvis is hot, she’d love to marry Elvis as much as the next girl, but also don’t they want to be Elvis?? But all the girls around her are talking about boys, and expect her to be talking about boys, so she kind of fakes it a bit to fit in, and she’s like “I’ll just kiss George to see what all the fuss is about”, and then promptly decides that the fuss is about nothing.
And then she meets John and that’s completely different, but also John takes her music seriously and she values that so much, so even if she sort of gets what the other girls are talking about now, she doesn’t want to be John’s girlfriend because a) she’s seen how John treats his girlfriends, and b) everyone already says she only got in the band because she’s John’s little girlfriend and she isn’t even, so she can only imagine how much worse it would be if she actually were.
Plus she can’t date any other guy because now that she’s in the group she knows how guys talk about girls, and she doesn’t want some loser who can’t even play the guitar as good as her going around saying he went all the way with the girl in the quarrymen.
So she comes to the very logical and pragmatic conclusion that she simply won’t have sex until she’s famous :)
But yeah I think JPG just end up in this little triangle of jealousy where like George is jealous for all the usual reasons, John is jealous because oh what she’ll kiss baby George but not him?? (He definitely calls George her boyfriend to piss the both of them off when he’s being antagonistic). Paul is jealous because John and George join forces to do chauvinism at her when she’s being annoying. Horrible little friend group all around!
Also I think it would be really funny if when they do get famous the general public just like ships Paul and George together. Like there’s definitely rumours about whatever the hell is going on with John and Paul, but because John’s married, they’re a whispered low-key implied in tabloids but in a way that works around libel laws kind of thing. But Paul and George are the single Beatles, and they are a girl and a boy, so reporters are straight up like “Are you two going to marry each other? All of your fans want you to,” to Paul and George (and John!)’s mutual disgust.

lucien stans made a lot of us dislike him because a lot of his stans with well known accounts talk sh*t about feyre frequently because of their distraught friendship and history. i loved lucien until i read what his stans (who some also stan tamlin) had to say about feyre due to their issues in acowar and acofas. lucien is quite babied in this fandom and constantly victimize him when it comes to his friendship with feyre and how it’s always “she could’ve” instead of “he should’ve” they both made mistakes but out of the two if i’m really going to judge lucien disappointed me more in their friendship and then he was surprised she didn’t favor him the way she used to when he already proved that he’s rarely put her first. he even feels worse about spring falling than about what happened to both of them when they were there. they were having growth after acowar and he took 10 steps back by throwing her taking down spring in her face after she’s already expressed remorse for what happened to the people there when hybern ruined their homes.
First off, I’m not a fan of using Eluciens/Elriels/Gwynriels or even Lucien stans as generic terms for everybody and their mother when it comes to explicit, opinionated discourses around one character or ship.
It’s exactly what made the fandom so overly sensitive about everything in the first place. We keep blaming individuals for things they’ve literally never said, sometimes not even heard of. I mean, imagine being called an Elain stan because you like Elain… It’s the last group I’d want to be associated with in this fandom lol.
Just like I don’t identify at all with the whole pinning Feyre up against Lucien. Especially not Feyre and Lucien. They’re my babies and if I am babying them rn, then so be it. Not to defend myself here, I just feel like pointing out I’ve made posts trying to explain Feyre’s perspective and why she’s totally right having negative associations connected to Lucien. Though I am aware people are throwing shade at Feyre, using the points you made above.
Lucien and Feyre’s friendship failed for several reasons, the main thing being miscommunication which lead to mistrust. Not because they had nothing to address to the other, but because the circumstances didn’t allow for them to open up. It’s debatable whether they just gave up on each other after the war because they both found their people, or whether they need time and space still. Either way is totally valid.
I always try to put everything in perspective and context, and to me, Feyre and Lucien’s outfall in acofas seemed absolutely realistic. Their awkward behaviour also feels reasonable after everything they’ve been through. It’s nothing that couldn’t ever be fixed though. When Elucien happens, there will also be a Feycien comeback, I’m convinced. Their dialogues are just too iconic to not bring them back.
Feyre receives so much hate that isn’t even about Lucien because she seems to be in a better place than everybody else and that’s usually something people get bored of and eventually mad about. Honestly, in acofas she could have been the bigger person. Bringing up the Band of Exiles was a low blow. She made fun of them because she obviously feels betrayed and doesn’t quite understand where their friendship came from. Feyre wants everyone around her happy, yet there’s only so much she can do. Sometimes she’s just too much of a busybody.

Honestly it’s not surprising that Zutar@ manages to fuck up and be annoying to ships that commit the crime of ‘getting in their way’. But it also treats the ships they claim to like along with their own as garbage as well.
I’m talking of course about Taang and Sukka.
I genuinely like Taang myself. A lot actually. At points it’s even my favourite Atla ship.
But you can really really tell when someone doesn’t ship it because they like both Toph and Aang as characters and find their dynamics and backgrounds and even potential spiritual links interesting: but are instead using it as an excuse to get Aang out of the way.
Their barely hidden contempt for Aang especially when they spout tripe like ‘Toph wouldn’t take any crap from him’ . All while posting a fic scenario which has Aang, someone who genuinely tries to understand people most of the time and even has a genuine religious philosophy: instead seem to have an understanding about friendship or forgiveness more akin to a three year old. Or like has shit like momtara and dadko scenarios (excuse me while I throw up) where he sneaks off to date Toph as if he had to ask these KIDS his PEERS his FRIENDS for permission in their deranged nuclear family take on the gaang. Yeah it was a ‘joke’ but they actually think of the gaang as working that way. Fucking straightest fandom imaginable frankly. Can’t think of dynamics in any other way without making some kids into the mother and father.
Because to them Katara and Zuko are 40 to Aang’s 12 I guess. Sure. 👌 Zuko who is ultimately and obviously the least mature member of the gaang. Katara who enjoys having fun and needs to be reconnected to being a kid again and gets that from Aang in the first episode. Sure. Sure. They can’t even fucking have Katara and Aang be the equals and friends they are.
Overall it really makes them show their ass when they attempt to spew out how much better it would be for Aang to be with Toph and this happens. It’s extremely frustrating trying to find Taang content sometimes because for every genuinely good piece you find there’s like five or more of this utter garbage. It leaves me cold honestly. I’m not sure how a genuine Taang shipper could not have at least some contempt for the louder parts of the Zk fandom.
Sukka doesn’t get it much better, though at least they don’t seem to hate one or more of its members. I have to admit I’m not really a fan of Sukka myself. I don’t hate it. The opposite actually. I don’t generally have any strong feelings one way or the other. It’s perfectly inoffensive but I’m not really into it.
But it’s kind of amazing that Zk fans try to say it’s ‘the only good canon ship’ when they make basically next to no art or fics of it apart from being heavily heavily in the background or in group shots.
It’s not the only ‘group ship’ fandom guilty of this mind you. Not even just in this fandom. Hell, arguably and oddly not even the only group that does this with Sukka.
But it’s fucking hilarious how full of shit they are. They don’t make any actual content of it! They don’t actually care for it any more than I do! It just doesn’t get in the way so they leave it alone except to use it to make posts to shit on the (lbr more interesting) Kataang and Maiko. Wild. I mean I don’t care for Tokka much either which sometimes gets thrown in as Maiko and Kataangs group: but at least people seem to actually and genuinely like that ship and have made content for it.
I just sometimes think about when Sokka says ‘You talk too much’ before kissing Suki: which in context isn’t anything to be mad at, clearly. But we all know it would have gotten Aang eviscerated by them if he’d said it to Katara in the exact same context.
Also ZKs would be crowing with glee that ‘See!!! Zuko can’t stand anything coming out of her rancid mouth!!! She’s so abusive!!! He kisses her to shut her up!!!!’ If Zuko had said it to Mai. You’re not slick. You’re not clever. Everyone can see the truth. Sukka is a prop to you and nothing more.
Leave Taang and Sukka out of your ship posts when it’s clear to everyone with a brain cell that you don’t care anything about them. They deserve better. Or at least Taang does. Don’t think I’ve ever seen a single person for whom Sukka is the ultimate ride or die OTP. But they probably exist you know? It’s a decently sized fandom after all. They’re unfortunately probably buried by all your garbage hot takes. And even if I don’t care for it, you’re probably fucking up what could be a fun experience for them.

I’ve seen some people say Gwyn can’t be into kinky stuff because she was assaulted or criticized artists who draw Gwyn tied up or blindfolded. The art depicts her consenting. Survivors of assault can be hyper sexual. Which isn’t only sexual intercourse, but masturbation. For all we know, Gwyn could be hyper sexual (masturbating a lot) and have interests in sex, but would only want to do those things with someone she trusts and feels comfortable with. She seems to enjoy reading the same books Nesta & Emerie do which might not mean anything, but we obviously don’t know what’s going on in Gwyn’s head. And while I do ship gwynriel, I want to know more about Gwyn as a character. Forget ships. Forget Azriel (even though I like him). For SJM’s faults, I will say she did a good job at writing the friendship that Nesta built with Emerie and Gwyn. I want to know more about them as characters and not for ships. SJM made them really likable characters.
I just think it’s gross for some people to assume survivors can’t have kinky sex or sex in general. Not saying that you’re doing that because you’ve been very respectful and kind! It’s something I just wanted I wanted to say.
The ship wars are just really annoying. It turns me off. Before Azriel gets into a relationship with anybody he needs to have a talk with Mor and work on how he thinks he’s unworthy/his self worth issues. I’m sorry if this ask causes chaos in your ask box!🖤 (sorry for the long ask!)
Ps, if SJM wanted to do something no one would’ve seen coming, put Gwyn and Elain together. I don’t see either of them starting a fight over a man or hating each other. I could see them potentially being acquaintances/friends. If they became a romantic couple, I would honestly love it. I doubt SJM would do this, but it’s nice to think about. I think they would be lovely together. Azris would be very interesting. The drama and angst. I would definitely read about it, but the only reason I’m not sure if it would happen is because I don’t see Az leaving the Night Court. If any belongs in the Night Court other than Rhys, it’s Az, but I definitely see the potential in him and Eris together.

you're right, we don't know gywn. at this point, the more we talk about everything, i feel like we know nothing about any character. everything we know seems pretty surface level to me to be honest, which is slightly annoying since there's five books.
i thing gwyn x elain would be a vibe. i think they'd be great for each other. i dont think sjm would do it either unfortunately but we can def imagine :/
i think azris would be great. i think there would be so much fighting and heat between them. i can see them arguing and they slowly keep moving closer and closer to one another, almost coming to blows but instead they break and its the most harsh, firey kiss there is *sigh*

Joyce/Bob, from Joyce’s pov, except she almost felt ready to take that extended hand… and then he was taken from her. Jopper, from both their povs depending on the time, because i feel like season 3 joyce is in a better place with HERSELF but grieving, and hopper views himself as a curse but he isn’t the one doing the rejecting. Chrissy/Jason, if Chrissy’d gotten to live, except we’re all cheering for her inwardly even tho she’s sad ab it at first.

every single one of those couples absolutely fits champagne problems, for all the reasons you just listed! i don't think there's necessarily one couple who fits this story the best, since the song does ends with the couple being broken up and the narrator experiencing at least a little bit of regret (as shown in her self-deprecation through the song).
i think of every couple, lumax probably fits this the best? especially with s4 max's mental health struggles being such a large part of why they broke up. it doesn't seem like a far reach for me to imagine those two in a future where max is still struggling with her mental health and does choose to break things off with lucas again, simply because of what happened with the upside down and also honestly max doesn't have the best home life and has grown up learning defense mechanisms that make her more prone to try and run away (see her dumping lucas a lot in the in between of s2-s3 and ofc the pre s4 break up) rather than deal with those problems head on. not trying to drag max because she is my girl and i love her with everything i am, but i think that's just part of how she's grown up and how she tries to protect herself.
that said, i don't think lucas would ever give up on her. s4 shows us that and shows us how he is trying to reach out to her and believes he should've done more. so, i think where they diverge from champagne problems' narrative is that the narrator's love interest isn't going to find someone new. instead, that love interest is going to keep working and keep holding on, because the love is real between them, even in spite of the mental health issues and such!
also again, agree with your rwylm analyses! but my first gut instinct though with this song is to think about will, actually! rwylm tells us a story about a narrator who was blind-sided by the loss of this relationship and then ends up staying "frozen" and stuck in that past, unable to move on from it. obviously, like i just said the song is in the context of a relationship, but pulling back a little bit more, i think the theme of it can fit will in general. will's trauma has left him frozen and stuck in a sense. everybody moves on, but will... will stays there. his childhood was robbed from him first with the kidnapping then with the possession, and we see how in s3 he is so desperately trying to hold onto that childhood while everyone else moves on without him.
digging deeper into the byler implications here, obviously this happens in tandem with the break in will and mike's friendship, where will again feels stuck because of his ud related experiences but also because of his sexuality, but mike? mike's moving on. he's found a beautiful girl who is a superhero, and he obviously loves her and cares about her. i mean come on. "if our love died young, i can't bear witness" screams the rain fight to me, and that image just hurt me very deeply ok.
"you left me no choice but to stay here forever" has a twofold meaning then. it's directed at both henry (the abuser who robbed will of his childhood) but also then at mike (the boy who will loves who has seemingly moved on past the need for will).
and uh... yep. i could go into more detail probably, but that's a little summary of my thoughts!

Why fans of HSMTMTS might like Anime: An essay
With the final season less than a month away I decided to introduce something that just might help fill the empty space it leaves behind, anime. Now there’s some who may think that anime is all about screaming and yelling in Japanese, and there are certainly shows that fall into that category, but anime is so wide reaching that there are shows about just about every topic you can imagine. There are action anime, horror anime, romance anime, and everything in between. Also if you think anime is too nerdy I’d remind you that the majority of this fandom practically salivates over a show about high schoolers performing various Disney songs, so be careful about those stones in your glass house.
Now as a Rina I know that a good portion of shippers here love a ship that’s all about subtext and the thing is most anime ONLY have subtext when it comes to ships. One of the most popular anime in the world right now is My Hero Academia, the show has an ensemble cast of interesting and memorable characters, and more ships than the US Navy. Almost every character is shipped with almost every other character, but it’s a superhero anime so romance takes a backseat so, with a few exceptions, almost every romantic relationship comes down to subtext.
Do you like crackships? Anime’s got more than you can handle. There are shows with little to no romance at all and still have rabid shipping fan bases. Some examples are Haikyu a sports anime about high school volleyball, which is about hard work, determination, camaraderie, and friendship, has so much shipping going on it’s insane. There’s also Blue Lock, a soccer anime, where a bunch of high school boys are locked in a high tech building as they all try to become the best soccer player in the world. So many ships.
Do you not like subtext and prefer to be told who’s going to get together? We got those too. My Dress Up Darling, a confident girl who really wants to get into cosplay is assisted by a shy quiet boy who’s really good at sewing and they fall for each other. Spy X Family, a super spy is tasked with creating a fake family to get close to a target, adopts a little girl and marries a woman with secrets of their own. Love After World Domination, the leader of a Power Rangers-like team falls in love with an enemy general and they cover up their dates with monster attacks so no one finds out.
Fair Warning: Anime ship wars can get INTENSE. They can make the Rina-Portwell-Rini discourse seem like a water ballon fight in comparison. So be cautious.
If you really just like music, anime usually have several opening sequences and closing sequences over the course of their show, with music done by really good Japanese bands. If you’re just interested in that you can easily find them on YouTube, but the show themselves usually have really good background music as well (I recommend a song called ‘You Say Run’ from My Hero Academia if you don’t believe me.
Seriously, I can almost guarantee there is a show out there that will peak your interest. That said anime can get REALLY weird just by the nature of there being so much of it (there’s literally an anime coming out about a guy who dies getting crushed by a vending machine only to be reincarnated as vending machine in a fantasy world) so if you find it’s not your cup of tea that’s fine, this isn’t to pressure anyone into watching anime (maybe it is a little bit). I know it hurts losing something that’s dear to you, so I’m just hoping someone maybe can find something to fill the void left behind.

Some additional ones, Fairy Tail, Black Clover, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Hopefully some people will mention some other anime in the comments or in their reblogs. Also if you want something a little more western I highly recommend ‘The Legend of Vox Machina’ on Prime. It’s based on anime but is a wholly western creation.

this is the make or break friendship moment ella— i wanna know YOUR gregstophe thoughts 👀
THE PRESSURE IS ON!! I‘m just going to list my general opinions, because tbh you have covered their specific dynamics way better than I ever could.
Gregstophe (which I have not been able to stop myself from pronouncing as ‘greg-stoph-ee’, which I KNOW is not the right way but the way I do it anyway) was definitely one of the earlier ships I got into, if I remember correctly? It was never exactly on OTP level for me, because style really was my absolute favorite from the very beginning, but the gregstophe niche very much appealed to me in a lot of ways. Despite appreciating it as a ship fairly early on, my fanfiction exploration was very limited, and my fanart exploration - keep in mind I had not yet had a South Park tumblr account at that point in my life - consisted basically of typing ‘gregory and christophe fanart south park’ into Google.
I didn’t have much of a choice on the fanfiction, though! Even now, there are barely over 200 works (several of which being on the ‘most recents’ page being yours!) and when I first got into the fandom, there were around 60. I was actually much more of a kystophe enjoyer back then (and I even read a few fics, though those were obviously limited to), and I haven’t really picked which of the ships I like more in present day.
I still do like gregstophe!! I mean, obviously, since I wrote a fic about them (for you <3). I think they are just so interesting, and BLU really is one of those movies that I just rewatch over and over again when I get the time. I would consider myself more attached to Christophe than to Gregory, and I have been for a very long time. I think Christophe is just the funniest little guy. That being said, while I do love Christophe so so dearly, gregstophe isn’t one of those ships where they are the One and Only for me, because neither of the characters are super, super high on my faves list. I could ship either character with other characters without getting weirdly jealous about it, which is honestly very rare for me!
If I had to guess why I feel that way towards them, I suspect it’s because they exist as an abstract concept to me, instead of a seriously grounded ship. It’s not that I don’t think they would legitimately work, because I do - it’s that gregstophe kind of inherently has to be an au, just by virtue of existing. And not even because Christophe is (seemingly?) dead, but because both of them are just SUCH strange characters that they kind of seem out of place even in the weirdo town of South Park. And that’s what makes them interesting, and very charming! But it’s also why it’s hard to imagine them as a permanent fixture in basically anywhere, which is why I think your ideal of a mercenary (if that’s the right word?) lifestyle works so well for them. Their few minutes of screen time each already sets a precedent for each of them as perpetually on the go, and to consider them having a permanent, domestic life (before the age of 40-50) feels difficult for me to imagine. That being said, I think you do a very good job of making them believable!!!
I love gregstophe, seriously. I think they’re such a charming pair, and one that fit so well together especially given their lack of actual interaction. The gregstophe community is also so committed, and I can always respect that for a rarepair.

I like a lot of ships involving Drew of course! Honestly I've realized I ship things more to flesh out the character I'm interested in than anything else. For pretty much all my faves across all media, I like pairing them with different characters because it's a way to see a new side of them!
Like obviously with Drew, shipping him with May is the big one. I like how their relationship grows in canon, and it's fun to think how it would continue down the road! But I quickly got into rare/crack pairings too, like Drew with Ash or Gary, because it let me ask different questions. With Drew and Ash, how would their relationship be different since it doesn't have that same rivalry angle of two competing coordinators? I see Drew and Gary as being pretty similar, so how would they work with someone who reflects a lot of their own strengths and faults?
Honestly for ships I'm not interested at all in the idea of characters getting married or having kids. I just want to imagine some tender moments and good conversations that a relationship would bring. :D

idk why I’m so fascinated by the idea of them being together lmao I mean she obviously isn’t gonna be a hugely important character because she wasn’t mentioned in the s4 new cast announcements and she wasn’t in any of the teasers or the trailer, and imo if she was dating steve or gonna be steve’s gf they would have mentioned her?? she’s probably just gonna be in one scene where steve flirts with her and then we’ll never see her again. I’m not like hardcore shipping them bc we know literally nothing about her, maybe I just think she’s pretty and the way steve is smiling at her here is cute. yeah I think that’s literally it 😭
Also, I think it would be funny if he got a date with this girl but then couldn’t go on the date because of upside down shenanigans. like imagine him being so excited that someone finally agreed to go out with him, but then he ends up in the upside down with nancy and robin and eddie and just “god DAMMIT why can’t I have ONE nice thing.” and he’s worrying that the girl is gonna think he stood her up just to be a dick and he doesn’t WANT her to think he’s a dick bc he really likes her but he can’t explain to her what really happened so how is he gonna explain why he didn’t show up without sounding like an asshole?????
which reminds me of when he went to check on nancy bc he was worried about her and tommy & carol were teasing him for caring about her and I just think it would be an opportunity to show his caring boyfriend side again but also how he’s changed since the friends he has now are so much better?? like idk I think steve has always been a nice person, yes he had asshole-y moments in s1 but I don’t think he magically went from being horrible to suddenly being lovely after he and nancy broke up? i think he always had this nice, soft, caring side but when he was around tommy and carol they sort of brought out his douchebag jock side, and clearly they thought it was weird that he genuinely liked and cared about nancy. basically I think his toxic friendships made him that way but once he ditched them that’s when he started to realise they were bad friends who encouraged his assholey behaviour.
so essentially what I wanna see is steve worrying about this girl thinking he’s a dick for not showing up and I wanna see how the others respond in a much better way than tommy & carol. like I think robin would lightly tease him for going on about this girl but in more of a “aww u have a crush, that’s adorable” way, less of a mean “lol dude why do u even care about this dumb girl, that’s so lame” way, and they all think it’s sweet that he cares about her. also! i think it would show character growth that he’s more conscious about not wanting to be seen as reverting to his asshole jock king steve ways! like he’s aware he fucked up in his relationship with a girl he genuinely loved (nancy) and he doesn’t want to fuck up another relationship again!!

Dremus Romance
This one I've hardly touched at all, sadly! Though I have a fairly solid idea of things.
It began in a DM conversation about Dremus, where I casually mentioned how this ship reminded me of my partner and myself (at least how I envision them!) It's not even that I intentionally see them a certain way due to my own life, just looking at it after settling into my headcanons I went "Huh. That seems like me and Eddie."
Remus is the older guy (like my Eddie); he's sweet and steady and patient (also like my Eddie.) Draco is a drama queen with daddy issues. (Which is me, btw.) It's just such a fun dynamic. Strong and quiet Remus. Energetic, theatrical Draco.
Plus the fun y'know...half-blood werewolf who is poor with the pureblood Malfoy heir...all sortsa drama there that forever will draw me to this ship!
Then the more I thought about it, the more I could compare other parts of their characters to us. And it sort of clicked in my mind to write the Dremus version of my love story. Obviously it won't be in perfect alignment with real life, but a lot will be greatly inspired by us!
I will share that when we first started dating, my partner worked 2 jobs. One of them was (and still is!) with the post office. His second job was at an entertainment store, where we met in the book section. So in this story, Remus will have 2 jobs...one with the owl post office, and one at a bookshop!
It will also feature a Draco-Harry friendship, and background Snarry...cuz I have to. :D
Excerpt (of the very small bit I have):
Agreeing to Harry’s plan was stupid and Draco knows it the moment he steps outside. He hesitates on the front steps of the castle, but isn’t allowed to linger long. Harry grabs Draco’s wrist and tugs him forward.
“We don’t even know if he’ll be there,” Harry reminds him. “You’re helping me shop for Severus.”
“Three days before Christmas,” Draco mutters. Who does that? All of his shopping had been completed in October.
Harry ignores him. “And if we happen to see Remus, all the better!”
The knot in Draco’s belly twists up tighter at the mention of Remus’ name. However casual Harry makes this sound, his intent is to run into Remus Lupin so that he can properly introduce Draco.
“I have a friend,” Harry had said. “You’d like him, I think.”
Ginny/Gwenog
Or as I call them: Gwenevera.
I touched a bit on what I have in mind for them in Red All Over. But I'd like to really explore more of their story in a longer work. Ginny is married to Harry, but they have an agreement...Harry (secretly) hooks up with Snape, and Ginny...Ginny gets with the ladies! She joins the Holyhead Harpies. Her first impressions of her idol (Gwenog) are not what she imagined. They clash a bit between Gwenog's ego and Ginny's hotheadedness. And then: SMUT. And feelings. And complications, of course.
Nothing is actually written yet, just a lot of notes on the story to go on!

when I started shipping widobrave: i can pinpoint this exactly. It was when I saw this art of the kiss by aramantheia. I think the first time I cried watching cr was when veth kissed him on the lips but even at that point I was like “…they seem like very good friends” and it hadn’t quite clicked that their feelings might be anything different. But when i saw that art afterwards it awakened something in me.
my thoughts / what makes me happy about them: just that they’re so physically affectionate and close with one another. It’s just comforting. It’s like I have a crush on their love. Whenever they have a check in during the game, they can be honest and raw in a way that neither of them are with anybody else, because they know what rock bottom looks like so that type of vulnerability isn’t an issue. They shaped each others’ stories, saved one another, literally rebuilt each other, and chose to stay family after all of it. I guess I also have a big soft spot for friends-to-lovers and mutual, oblivious pining. evil smile
what makes me sad about them: towards the end it felt like they couldn’t be fully honest about their feelings because veth was herself again and it was more apparent that she was married, so, though they clearly needed each other, it would feel wrong to admit that. Veth being canonically in love with him was never explicitly addressed. Also, the fact that caleb had a crush on at least two other people put a certain dampener on things lmao.
Things I look for in a fanfic: this is tricky because I haven’t read fic about them in months :( I kinda stopped after I left the widobrave server because I thought it’d just make me sad. But I love qpr fics where they walk the line between friendship and romance or they’re friends but there’s tension or there’s a sense of taboo to their pining. I’m not a huge fan of happily ever afters or marriage; I like things to feel a little open ended and bittersweet. Also one of the things I most look for without realising is if I can imagine the players speaking n narrating at the table (with the exception of nsfw obviously). I gotta read it in their voices.
Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: for veth, yeza. For caleb…. i am honestly so petty I dislike pretty much every other caleb ship. that’s just the way i am </3
My happily ever after for them: they coparent Luc together with Yeza, so the wee lad grows up the most loved and nurtured halfling in exandria and Caleb gets to heal and be part of the family he missed out on. Veth lives her polyam dream, she and caleb have a camp for young adventurers in the woods every summer, caleb teaches in rexxuntrum, eventually veth starts teaching there too, and all the students gossip about them.
Who is the big spoon/little spoon: caleb is big spoon most of the time but I also think they can sleep in pretty much any position as long as they’re touching, see: caleb sleeping with his head on veth’s ankles, veth curling up against his thigh, waking up with her head on his shoulder. Holding hands. any excuse to lay on each other tbh.
What is their favourite non-sexual activity: quietly co-working by candlelight, inventing spells ✨
