My ranking of agggtm books from least favourite to favourite
WARNING!! SPOILERS!!
#4 - Kill Joy.
I still haven't finished this book tbf I'm only 75% through but I could live without finishing it. It's only a prequel but if you're looking to get into this series PLEASE READ AGGGTM FIRST 🙏 10x better. It's alright like a murder mystery party set in the 1920's so it's not as thrilling as an actual murder mystery, and idk I found myself skimming through the pages more than actually reading them so it all got so confusing, especially when Pip is revealing who the murder is, but then again that's probably just me. Cara is 100% the best character in this book.
#3 - Good girl, bad blood.
Ok this is the second book and its still good, just took me forever to finish. I was kinda ok by the child brunswick idea the first time round but then I thought about it and idk. it's so random in the last part of the book it's not like u could use any of the clues to predict fucking CHILD BRUNSWICK 😭 also I read a lot of reviews saying how Stanley forbes was like a racist in bk 1 but I didn't pay attention to him tbh soo I literally don't care he died xx
#2 - As good as dead.
Maybe just recency bias but I liked this book. I read a lot of reviews saying they didn't like how Pip killed him and yea its a bit random but it was an interesting twist. I will preface by saying that hate is a strong word for what I feel abt these characters and would prefer to describe it as "apathy" no I'm not saying this as a desperate measure to prevent myself from being stoned to death why would you say that

You have to understand that I joined the fandom in 2017 and people were so fucking annoying abt these three. It was impossible to go into the tags back then and not run into posts like "You're a bad person if you dislike Tsuyu/Momo" or "It's possible to dislike Kirishima/Tsuyu" blablabla. And I'm the kind of person that if you try to shove something down my throat I will spit it back in your face just to prove a point.
I understand fans wanting to hype up their favs but I found Tsuyu and (especially) Momo to be extremely underwhelming so that behavior just turned me off. & Kirishima is bc the kiribaku fandom were a fucking menace back in the day.
Despite my feelings for them, they're all good characters that deserved better opportunities to shine (rip all the ex-naruto/class 1A fans that wanted to see the konoha 13 done right)

I get the knee jerk reaction of wanting to save her from Horikoshi's questionable writing, but in the process the fandom sand down all her rough ("problematic") edges & just leave her an empty soulless sock-puppet wearing Miruko's skin. Canon Miruko doesn't have much going for her but somehow Fanon Miruko manages to be even more shallow. #sorrynotsorry
I'm gonna get flack for this but I don't like the way fandom tends to portray found family. It feels inauthentic to me, especially when dealing with dysfunctional self-destructive and emotionally constipated individuals like the LOV. Found Fam LOV used to be my jam but I've grown tired of it 😔
And speaking of the LOV.... I love Spinaraki but I don't like the way most of the fandom interprets and depicts their relationship. Spinner's fanatic devotion to Shigaraki isn't healthy. Idk if I've talked abt it on this blog before but I see a lot of parallels between Killugon (hxh) and Spinaraki.
(Incoming spoilers for hxh chimera ant arc) In both cases you have person A (Gon/Shigaraki) going down a self destructive path, fueled by self loathing and person B (Killua/Spinner) that is extremely devoted to person A but bc of their lack of self worth is unequipped to truly help them and in the process unintentionally enables them.
I'm all for witnessing unhealthy devotion in fiction, I eat that shit up. But it does make me uncomfortable when I see people interpreting it in a purely positive light.

this might be long and rambly as shit but since u asked 😋 i really am SAURRRRR excited!!! i really have forgotten what svt cbs were like bc i got so incredibly busy but im SOOO so glad i'm here for it again <33 i haven't participated in anything else like i used to before (i.e: watching all the interviews, keeping up w/ all the appearances n shit 😭), so i haven't seen anything else aside from the mv & medley/did anything aside from listening to the whole EP. HOWEVER!! i can definitely say it well exceeded my expectations! for me svt comebacks just kept getting bigger and better since attacca, and honestly the pre-cb hype and General Good Vibes we were getting from that era just kept getting carried over their more recent releases! i'm glad there's that kind of energy (on my end at least) with their cbs!! and honestly, i'm so so happy to see them getting the recognition their unceasing hard work deserves. they're not a loud group, if that makes sense (like, when u ask ppl outside of korea abt kpop groups they most likely would not mention svt off the bat), but they really are so stable and they're only consistently getting bigger not only because of all the work, but also because of how well they just treat carats as well. it really does feel like we're a team to a certain extent 🥹
honestly my only gripe this time is abt the faded mono life concept bc idk... i feel like the company concept has been used and reused to death (and we've already seen so many similar concepts from the boys), but i also acknowledge that they're trying to fit it all into the fml overarching theme (and the title alone is v smart!!), but i really wish we had a ver with the traditional fits 😔 ALSO ICB I'VE MANIFESTED THIS i literally have been mentioning how i wanted crazy concept photos like the a.c.e hanbok ones to my irl carat friends and seeing it come to fruition makes me feel successful LMFAOO

I expected Chanyeol's rapping to get better by now. Everytime I listen to it I feel like he could have done better.
Same goes for Sehun. His rap was pretty nice to listen to in the X-Exo come back. Chanyeol went off beat in that song to "go-off" but I'm not sure if that was the right place to do so. but I really do agree with u about itzy! they lack a musicality to them that becomes more prevalent with each release. personally I would go as far to say they’re one of the most competent groups when it comes to live stages/performances in general but the music just doesn’t match up, be it the fault of the company or the girls themselves. i really do hope their next cb is amazing though! i heard it was their favorite so far and I trust them but jyp groups tend to be overworked so I hope it isn’t too much :,)
i actually really like aespa and the kwangna mess 😭 while all their releases have sorta melded into one entity in my mind, I strangely don’t mind it? About RV, completely. I am forever grateful to SM to not destroy their concept or try to make them sound wacky or nothing like RV. I feel like SM has done an incredible job with RV's music (you know? I am all for the underrated tts! Like RBB and Zimzalabim and Dumb Dumb Dumb might be my most favourite --dumbdumb is not underrated but the other ones--) but I am a little angry at their management, how they could have KILLED it in numbers and fame and they haven't because SM doesn't know how to push them. They still don't have a partnership with an American agency even though the ceo of Capitol Records (i Think) told the press she wanted to work with Red Velvet. While the bg of SM and Aespa (deserved for the girls) are getting so much more push.

Ranking the Nijisanji EN debut songs
This is just my opinion so don't take it seriously. I'm also not trying to hate on any of the people involved I love them all very much and think that they're all incredibly talented! This is just for fun.
4- Hope in the Dark
I'm srry Luxiem you guys are my favorite but compared to the other songs here this is at the bottom for me. I think that the instrumentals shine the most here ESPECIALLY with that beat drop in the chorus that's my favorite part of the song. The beginning is also rlly great it builds up the hype rlly well. My biggest issue is I don't like that rap part with Ike and Vox the lyrics don't sit well with me and I think it lasted too long. The song would've benefitted from more vocals in general and it would've been nice to hear more of the guys' singing. The small Japanese lines actually fit nice they didn't feel out of place at all. Finally I imagine if there was one more incredibly powerful chorus at the end to finish it off it would've made the song wrap even more nicely. Overall it's great but could've been better, 6/10 would listen again
(Also why is there album cover so much lackluster than the others c'mon the boys deserve some cool art too > <)
3- Black Out
AAA this was hard but Black Out is gonna sit at number 3. Just like the last song THE INSTRUMENTALS GO SO HARD HERE! I absolutely love the build up at the beginning and the atmosphere it created in the intro gives me chills. The best part of this song is the pre-chorus, most specifically the second pre-chorus. I love that they brought in the acoustic guitar it just blended so well with Petra's vocals. Speaking of the vocals I do think sometimes the instrumentals were overpowering their singing especially in the chorus but at the same time a part of me rlly likes the chaos there. Selen's rap is great didn't have much of a problem with it. Line distribution was good and the song ended with a bang I loved it. 7.5/10
2- God Sees All
I've replayed this song so many times omg the replay value is very high for this one. This and Black Out feel almost the same it's that I've listened to this one more so it's at number 2. Another strong intro and yes EVEN MORE AWESOME INSTRUMENTALS! This is the same producer that made Hope in the Dark so I'm not surprised that both choruses go so hard. Those short "tick tick"s in between the lines are so good??? I would like to take this time to express my confusion over the line "Somewhere someone is still thinking about someone else". It doesn't flow well idk why it's here it's my least favorite part I wish it was replaced with a different line. Anyways the part after it though is SO GOOD the melody change is awesome. "We're Ethyria Yea" yes queens go off 8/10
1- Diamond City Lights
This was easy omg I love this song sm. BEST LYRICS THIS HAS THE BEST LYRICS OUT OF ALL OF THEM. While it doesn't have the hardcore edm instrumentals of the other songs I think the guitar, synths, and percussion bring out a more natural feel that fits well with the vibe of the song. Whenever I listen to this song it lifts me up and makes me smile. AND GROUP CHORUSES I LOVE GROUP CHORUSES. It has both a strong beginning and ending, it has that last chorus that I absolutely love, the instrumental break doesn't feel out of place, pre-chorus slaps the buildup is wonderful. This song is just the whole package and Lazulight's vocals make it even better. The only minor issue is some of the lines might've sounded better if it was a bit higher cause sometimes it feels like they're struggling to hit the low notes but it's not that noticeable and even then they killed it. "Diamond City Lights illuminate what's inside" 9/10
