Military conscription is not a public declaration of a romantic relationship, especially in SK. If anything it's a declaration of the opposite of a romantic relationship. For this country, specifically, its military is known to be brutally conservative going as far as to bully and discriminate against LGBTQ+ citizens with actual legal rules opposing any and all homosexual relations. Any two people conscripting together is a literal shoutout for declaring "We Are Definitely NOT Together" in any romantic capacity.
The last thing a gay couple or LGBTQ+ couple would do in SK is enlist together, that alone them being idols.
Is this really hard to comprehend??
I'm just disgusted by the sexual innuendos and imagined scenarios, treating this almost as if JK and JM declared their marriage in j*kook blogs. Blatantly disregarding the actual situation the SK military (and even the country at large) is still in reality, officially stands for.
You, me, and anyone with half a brain knows that military conscription is not a public deceleration of a romantic relationship, anon. J*kookers are just living in another world. One where gay couples enlist together as a sign of their relationship, apparently. We know j*kookers love to twist things, but their romanticisation of the military really does take the cake.
Queer people actively face discrimination and bullying in the army. That is the unfortunate reality. So I find it incredibly disrespectful the way j*kookers have been behaving since they found out about the buddy program. J*kook's conscription is not something to joke about, sexualise or romanticise. It's not shipping material, and it's definitely isn't proof of a relationship.
The absolute lack of consideration from them for how queer people are treated in the army and how that could potentially affect a gay couple is astounding. We're talking about 18 months of forced military service as queer people in an extremely homophobic environment. That isn't going to be fun for them, and it certainly isn't going to be romantic.

Thailand is actually very progressive when it comes to LGBT representations. Here in India we are here vigorously fighting for the rights of LGBTQ community, we have pride parades, we have so many openly queer artists and we are very close to legalising gay marriage. But since we lack money, we lack any progressive thinking.

Anyway, I can 100% believe it, because it happens over and over and over and over. Gender ideologist is homophobic, people call them out, they scream “TERF!” And don’t take the concerns to heart.
And I say, let them. Let them be blatantly homophobic. Let them disregard the concerns this raises. Let them show how utterly unwilling they are to support homosexuals. Let them show how they demand our undying worship and support, yet will throw us under the bus for their own selfish purposes.
Because that’s how people, at least gay people, leave them behind. That’s how we “peak”. It’s how I “peaked”! Literally what happened is I read this essay, agreed, saw the comments calling the writer an evil transphobic terf…and realised that gender ideology and its followers conflict with the interests of homosexuals (of course I’d already been questioning it and seeing the homophobia and sexism. This was just the nail in the coffin).
It’s funny because they lament about how many “cis gays” are “terfs”, but then they pull stunts like this; completely dismissing concerns of homophobia and calling gays “terfs” for either just being gay or for calling out their homophobia/homophobic tendencies. They consistently prove that they are not our allies (and that they don’t want to be), then wonder why we want nothing to do with them.
If the OP is reading this: I am a lesbian before I’m what you’d call a “terf”. All you’ve done is show that you refuse to hear a homosexual out about homophobia, because what she has to say makes you uncomfortable and/or ruins your fun. And you’re one of the many TQ+ people/supporters who act this way, which ultimately pushes people away from your cause, not towards it.

Hi! i saw your DNI special interest statistics post and was super intrigued!
If you ever continue, I would be very interested to see the dichotomy of some of the smaller but more cult like fandoms like TBHK and Omori!
it seems the more popular the fandom, the less saturated with DNI the fandom becomes. so it would be interesting to see more smaller cult fandoms compared to one another. and possibly if the media being 2d art adjacent/animation vs live action or 3d games plays a factor!
Surprisingly, there's still not too many DNIs in these fandoms! I'm going to pick a few musicals to do next and I'm betting those will be a bit crazier, but here's Toilet-Bound Hanako-Kun, Omori, and Your Turn To Die compared to each other!

Hello storm, i asked this question in another jikook blog but as you are very detailed in your responses i wanted your perspective on it as well. Do you find it a bit strange that from the Taekook perspective Tae seems to only be gay for Jungkook? Let me explain.
Tae has a whole squad of male friends (handsome males), he hangs out with, seems to be close to Park Bogum and even went to an art exhibit with him and they have their own version of GCF, yet not only have I seen Tkkers shrug them off as friends but have 0 malice for Park (not that i want them to) but seem to loathe Jimin? How come? Doesnt Bogum threaten your ship just as much if not more than Jimin?
So in the Taekook world Tae and Kook are deep in love in a ltr and their only threat is Jimin? How does that work. If Jungkook is Tae's type and vice versa, Jimin doesnt fit that mold so why be threatened by his prescence? Park Bogum is tall, gorgeous, talented, if anything he posses a bigger threat since he fits the mold of guys Tae should be into. So why is he shrugged off but Jimin hated and seen as a p*rv and a threat?
I know i am asking a mouthful but when you spend a few minutes thinking about the mind of a Jimin anti, it really shows how irrational these people are.
The tkkrs who do think Tae is only gay for JK, or vice versa where JK is only gay Tae (this is also about the jkkrs who think JK is only gay for Jimin too btw) aren't doing anything but fetishizing a mlm queer relationship for their own fantasies and gratification for their own abysmal love life and/or their own sexual gratification. Both are a problem. It's not okay. And I absolutely blame the media for the crappy representation and fetishizating stereotypes they give queer characters. Because that's then also how these types of shippers view BTS. As characters for them to play out their fantasies with. It's not okay. These are the same people who will ship the members but then at the same time not actually support queer people or the community. It's the "ew gay people" crowd who also go "lol so who do you think the bottom is??" It's the same people who always view one as "the man" and the other as "the girlfriend." They are cosplaying support for queer people behind a ship that they don't TRULY believe in. Because if Tae or JK ever came out as gay, or confirmed they are boyfriends and are gay. Those same people who gloat about winning but also have a really fucking hard time continuing to support them "in their sins." Either you think they are queer and you support them regardless of if they are in the gay ship you want them in, or you don't. Full stop. There is no "I'm only gay for...." there are LOTS of sexualities out there where you are attracted to a variety of genders or non at all. It's all okay, but people don't get to decide that for you. Because that's a cop out of actually supporting and caring for the person(s) you claim to love and support in their queerness and otherwise.
As for the irrationality of being a Jimin anti? You absolutely answered that for yourself. Lol they aren't "threatened" by their other male friendships because they don't actually view think they are gay, therefore other men aren't a "threat." Jimin a "threat" simply because he is the most rival ship, they want to win and they throw all their homophobic and misogynistic ideas and tendencies onto him. It's fucked up.
Idk if any this ended up making sense or if my angry rant just ended up wordy and ranty. But oof this is a topic that gets my gears grinding 😅 thanks for the ask

These people are getting insufferable now. Everyday they sprout some new theory to try and romanticize the military service 😑. Everyday some new distant relative imparts some new ms knowledge, like the dogtag one a few days ago, which later on turns out to be utter garbage. Why are they still so desperate to prove that their ship is real at this point? Shouldn't they all be sure by now? And what's this urge to go and bark in tkk accounts??
Anon as for your fave buddy system, if you believe that a queer couple would want to enlist together in such an extremely homophobic place where even a slight misstep can put an even brighter spotlight on their heads than the one they already have (being a part of BTS), then you have your head in cuckoo land. I am not talking about the misstep that you all want to jump to every time jikk is mentioned. It doesn't have to be sexual. But if they've been together for so long then they'll have certain mannerisms around each other which will come out subconsciously. Why would they want to put more pressure on themselves in trying to hide their relationship when the ms is already grueling enough? Them being friends makes perfect sense in this scenario coz they can support each other as friends there. A couple can't hide for 18 months. With idols already being mistreated in the ms, do you think an idol couple would want to put a bright red target on their heads like this?
I'll let you know about some of the facts instead of theories about both the ships. Remember that bb of their enlistment anon? Jk wasn't aware that jm hadn't shaved his head yet. Shouldn't such an attached at the hip couple know such things about each other? On the other hand, tae and jk were shirtless facetiming each other and tae was the one who revealed jk's shaved head for the first time. He singled out jk out of every other member in his last insta story. He posted that pic with bam (a very domestic pic imo) at jk's house in his farewell post when he hadn't posted any other pics with anyone except for the 2 group pics. Jk went to tae as soon as his overseas schedule ended(those three tae vlives). Jm mentioned in that last group vlive that he got used to jk's snores bcs of their trip, meanwhile tae had sent jk recordings of his snores. Tae was the first person to listen to seven and he recorded the guides for layover at jk's, meanwhile hobi was the one who listened to jm's solo songs first. Not just tae but even his friends supported jk's solo work. He even goes on trips with tae and his friends. I can go on and on with these but this has already gotten long enough.
I never ever do this comparison thing bcs all the members have been almost like a family for the past 12 years but people like you have been getting on my nerves lately. And unlike almost jikkrs, almost all of whom are tae antis (tae is a liar is your side's mantra), I am not a jm anti. I know that jk and jm are very close, closer than jm and tae imo, but that's all they are. They are friends, not lovers.

Jep! It is so clear that Jk and Jm are just friends. Really close friends, but still just friends. This whole year it’s been obvious who Jk spent the most time with. When you hear Jk and Jm mention each other, it’s always in a friend context.. not always being completely aware of the other’s life. When they great each other it’s clear at times that they didn’t see each other for a while.. the greeting is enthusiastic as can be.. but also very indicative of them having been apart and not having met before those moments. I truly have no doubts on this.
That blog anon sent me to read was supposed to make me reconsider… but there really wasn’t any enlightening or special about what the person said. Just someone mocking the use of gay stereotypes by anti’s to try and make it seem like they are exasperated by people not realizing how brave Jk and Jm are. They are portraying them as martyrs who suffer by being close to each other despite it being possibly dangerous. Risking the safety of your relationship when you don’t have to isn’t brave, it’s unwise.
