It's really weird how "hey maybe we shouldn't call real life complete strangers gay or trans-coded because that's kind of a weird thing to assume about someone and also you could be putting them in a dangerous position if they're still closeted" has turned into "why do people think trans women are trying to pressure people into transitioning, that doesn't make a lot of sense"
Yeah it doesn't make sense cause it's not what people were even arguing in the first place

ok ykno what I think the general online atmosphere re: Attraction To Men is very horrible & stunting. I've realized recently that I probably do have some internalized biphobia that was a big motivator for why I identified with the word gay despite not Really having a gender preference. & yea I still identify with gay but also maybe I kinda identify with bi too. Bc my gender is fluid and it really just depends on the day, but overall I am potentially attracted to men too and that doesn't take away from my non-straight identity, & it's not Unfortunate or anything either.
Yes, I'm scared of men I don't know. I'm fucking Terrified of them. But men are still just human fucking people, with as much potential for good as anyone else. The masses of people who are all like "eww who even likes men lol" or ppl feeling ashamed for liking men, like. What's the fucking point? You're making trans men feel awful, you're making gay men feel awful, & hell even cis straight men don't deserve to be put down all the time simply for being men.
So sick of all those people who Genuinely think that's okay. Like lmao get the fuck out of here.
#speculation nation#my own identity is smth im still figuring out but im working on like. not feeling bad or guilty about being attracted to men#which WHAT a reversal of the usual narrative lmfao. i was somehow lucky enough to not end up with internalized homohobia#bc no one rly talked about it when i was growing up. never really registered homosexuality existed until i was a freshman in high school#& then shortly after i realized i was into girls lol#and then i joined tumblr and ive been around that 'eww men' mentality. also frankly an anti-straight mentality.#which yes ive long been over that Straight Shit. but ppl still act so allergic to any kind of m/f pair Regardless of how else#they might be part of the community. re: trans or bi or whatever else#it made me feel ashamed of my potential attraction to men. to the point where when someone i was dating realized they were a trans dude#i let the relationship fizzle and die instead of adapting to it. bc i didnt want to be with a guy.#i still dont rly wanna date cishet guys bc theyre just. kind of Bleh in a way i dont want romantically or otherwise#that's just personal taste. hard to feel personally understood in an intimate way with them#but trans men or bi men r like. Wonderful.#aka i dont like to date anyone who's not lgbt in some way. i think that's a better way to look at it.#girls i date r automatically not straight bc i very much look like a girl lol. guys could be cis and straight tho n im not interested in it#BUT yeah. ive been more open about my feelings re: guys on here bc im working to accept that part of myself#yes i have a girlfriend. no this is not an attempt for actual Application of the attraction. i just want to embrace all of my identity#the identity still exists even if im dating someone. that's how the bi stuff works lol#i still like gay as a descriptor bc it feels like a catch all to me. but also maybe i could be bi too#this is weird gender stuff talking dont come at me for equating the two things lol i just dont know what my gender is doing#anyways peace out it's 4:20 am and i need to get tbe FUCK to sleep

KInda having some issues with something my friend said last night and i want to move past it but cant stop thinking about it
#so basically my friend who ive had since freshman year of hs said something on the phone that really doesnt sit right with me#shes gotten into christianity and she didnt grow up christian but she met some christian friends who have kind of gotten her into it#and she talks about it a lot#i dont know much about the actual church itself but it seems to me like theyre sort of pressuring her into it and dare i say...#...indoctrinating her#like i dont get it she was never particularly religious but now shes getting all serious about this stuff and how she doesnt want to go...#...to hell and wants to get baptized and all that stuff#shes also alluded to this churchs interpretation of scripture as not lgbt friendly#from what shes said it very much gives love the sinner hate the sin vibes#and the issue at hand here is that they believe that conversion is possible and necessary in order to live a life free of sin or something#at least this is what i get from what shes told me#and she was telling me about how people get baptized and say they arent gay anymore and i just said i dont believe that for a second#and she said well its true#and i told her that i believe these people SAY that they arent gay but theres no way they were actually converted its not possible#and explained basically that people can lie about their sexuality and often do out of pressure to perform heterosexuality#but tbh i was kinda thrown off so i dont think i was particularly well spoken in explaining and the examples i gave from my own life didnt.#...really illustrate what i was trying to say and i didnt do a great job of making that connection between my examples and the point i was.#...trying to prove#tbh i didnt think much of it at the time i just kind of moved on but today i cant stop thinking about it#its so frustrating to me how she just takes things at face value and doesnt think to look below the surface#ive been waiting for this whole christianity thing to run its course with her and at one point it seemed like she was done with it but...#...shes gone right back#and now shes telling my about considering becoming baptized and stuff#and how her parents dont approve and all that stuff#and im just like i feel like shes being lost to conservative christian ideology#even though she doesnt seem to recognize it as such#but like idk what to even say or how to confront her#she doesnt even know my sexuality and i dont want to out myself in explaining why these things from the church are harmful to me as her...#...friend#she knows im not straight i came out to her as asexual back in high school

the addition of jack would instantly give every 12 team tardis an entirely new different and INCREDIBLY funny dynamic. 12 jack and clara would instantly become 9jackrose 2: This Time Its THE Most Unbelievably Fucked Up Polycule Youve Ever Seen In Your Life Edition. the jealousy from every single damn one of them would make it SO fucking bad for anyone to be around but SO interesting to watch in an "i need to study them" way. 12 and jack alone just after claras departure would be genuinely very charming in an absolutely heartbreaking way because it is hands down the most clear how deeply in love with the doctor jack is but despite this it would still be SO fun to watch and an absolute travesty that we only got one episode of it. AND it would segue unbelievably well into THORS. i dont need to say this we all Know but in any scenario where jack and river are in the same team tardis it instantly becomes THE most bisexual situationship hanging in the balance of how willing the doctor is at any given moment to tolerate both the constant and i mean CONSTANT flirting, with each other and with everyone around them, and the 1 million guns and bombs the two of them have. 12 jack and nardole would become either more tolerable or way more annoying and it all depends on how obvious nardole and jack make it that theyre fucking and how jealous 12 is about this. (12 and jack are also DEFINITELY fucking each other in this scenario and it does not improve 12's jealousy level.) 12 jack bill and nardole would instantly become THE team tardis dynamic of all time. itd be like the breakfast club for queer time travelers. itd be like if "LGBT" was a team tardis. and once you add missy to that dynamic it would instantly go to shit in the funniest and most insane possible way because then youve got TWO DIFFERENT people who have known 12 for about 2000 years and he is NOT normal about it, every single relationship not involving bill is fucked up on like a cosmic scale, jack and missy cant be left alone together because one of them WILL be dead in the most psychosexual way imaginable, bill knows SO much more about 12 because jack would never shut up under any amount of duress and frankly its better this way. its definitely some kind of nightmare blunt rotation but i have no idea for which one of them. every single adventure would either take SO much longer or be solved instantly. bill singlehandedly prevents the sexual tension from being unimaginable constantly. simultaneously the perfect and funniest and best team TARDIS dynamic while also being COMPLETELY intolerable good god

i think that on here we've kinda talked a lot about how the traditional "coming out" narrative presented in popculture is flawed in reality. because it always presents this idea that you have to tell everyone who you Really are, that youre Hiding parts of yourself, that you can never be You until you bare your Secrets to the world. and that actually this isnt because people feel entitled to your personal business but that its hurting YOU when they dont know your personal business so you should really just tell them. (but also dont be "too" proud because thats annoying :( act mostly cishet please but dont lie about it! hehe!) it will work out every time for sure :)
but ofc thats not how real life works. i mean, naturally i understand that there are OF COURSE people out there who want to be loud and proud about who they are, and that this is incredibly important to their identity which theyve suppressed for so long. but that "coming out" narrative is harmful because it ignores many of the reasons it had to be suppressed to begin with. its fucking dangerous! its dangerous to a lot of people for a lot of reasons. they can lose their support system, family, job, house, and their entire life. both in the sense that they'll be completely uprooted from it, and in the sense that they could be killed. so constantly presenting the notion of "coming out is good for you no matter what because its the Only way to be your Real Authentic Self and also you HAVE to do it eventually because thats how this narrative is just Meant to go. be a good little queer and please dont stray from this path."
and the problem is that plenty of young LGBT+ people completely internalize it too! ive had so many convos with young people worried about coming out to their conservative family because, well, theyre supposed to! and their minds are completely blown when i tell them that actually they dont have to do that. that theyre under no obligation to tell everyone their business and its okay to just keep being them w/o making an announcement about it. ESPECIALLY IF IT PUTS THEM IN DANGER!!!! and to be clear this issue doesnt stop at age 18 or at moving out or anything like that either, there continue to be many obstacles for many people that make coming out unsafe, or just a bad life decision to uproot everything Right Now. it's okay to just be in the closet and it isn't a moral failing like cishet media wants to convince us. we all agree, right?
good! but here's what my actual real point is:
when we talk about this, for some reason, we seem to only reaaaallly be talking about the gay side of it, right? like im sure lots of people imagined, like, teenage gay boy movies. maybe a couple lesbian and bi characters too perhaps. and that makes sense because thats like the most common narrative for this sort of trope, so ofc those are the first examples we imagine. and ofc theres the more complex addition of "passing" when it comes to trans versions of this story, the idea that you gotta look a certain way to be "valid" adds another layer.
so i think its time more people started to acknowledge this about trans people too, right? i think we can all agree with this on paper already; no trans person is obligated to come out or present a certain way if theyre not in a place where they currently are able to do so. physically, mentally, financially... or just because they dont wanna! whatever the circumstances are, there is no criteria they have to meet to be vindicated in this. it doesnt only apply to 14 year olds living with shitty parents who plan to move out soon and become "Really Trans" (as if they didnt count before conforming to The Narrative), the person could be 40 and never planning to be completely out, and its the same. they dont owe you this "showing the world who you Really are in order to [earn the right to] Be Yourself" crap. thats their choice only.
however, i also think that even if most ppl on here in lgbt circles on here agree with the general sentiment... sometimes it doesnt always get applied it practice. though the whole "truscum" thing kinda died down (thank god) i still think that rampant transmedicalism has left its scars on lots of people and the things they internalize, combined with similar cisheteronormative messages in popular media about how your narrative Should go and how you Should act and look to be respected, and its Morally Wrong not to fit that mold.
so when encountered with people who dont pass, who dont TRY to pass and instead actively choose to look like their agab due to the fact that they are literally in the closet irl (lest we forget people have whole entire complex lives outside of the net) this sort of short circuit happens in ppls heads, where that internalized idea of "but you're supposed to be THIS WAY! youre not doing it RIGHT!" pops back up and they end up labeling that person as fake or Not Trans Enough for this reason.
and i do also think part of this stems from people not having enough sympathy for those whose paths are different, because they were told not to. theres a Right way, and they did it the right way. and likely they struggled for it a lot, so isnt it unfair that people are doing it the Easy Way (as if its easy to be closeted to begin with) and claiming theyre like you? thats Wrong. they have to Earn it. you lgbts should all get mad at EACH OTHER actually! this will help your community be better [in the eyes of cishetero society that doesnt really want you to exist to begin with]
additionally the reason im emphasizing the internet side of this so much is because... well, in this day and age, thats the space lots of people go to to NOT be in the closet. to at least microdose on being "out" while in real life they very much arent. like i said before, being in the closet is rough and taxing, suppressing yourself hurts which is why so many people wanna be loud and out and proud! not everyone can though, so turning to a place with relative anonymity to get that is great, and i think its probably saved a lot of people. but also because of this, its pretty much the only way to get the scenario this is positing to begin with- where you know a stranger can know that youre trans even if youre otherwise closeted completely, just so they can tell you that youre Not. but how many people in the past do you think lived lives where they never let these feelings out at all? how many alive today do you think dont even express them online?
you know that sort trope (often stereotypes in media) of a trans person "crossdressing" only when alone, in order to get a short bit of relief or euphoria that they cant in their closed life? i think that today we have the internet to do that. i think its kind of the same thing. but its also very different, because its not as private. its still secret, because its anonymous, but its also something shared with plenty of strangers at the same time. they dont know you irl, so its safe, distant, and gives you that rush of being yourself, and being referred to correctly by others too. theres community, theres support, and theres friendship too, once you get to know those strangers. its not a "second life" or a "persona" is just a side of yourself you dont show elsewhere, an identity that needs to be let out one way or another.
who the fuck are we to deny others the right to this life-saving connection just because they arent out? because they dont pass or dress the Right way irl? because we decided they arent trying hard enough to "fit in"? because they dont plan to change their lives to fit the right narrative anytime soon?
should they not be allowed into the community then? that would be perfect wouldnt it? leave many who need support out to die, because they did it Wrong. fight within our community over who is doing it Right until we've broken it in half. the righteous ones [according to cishet standards] are surely going to be treated with respect once they get rid of the Bad ones, right?
yeah, i dont think so. thats horseshit. we're stronger together than we are apart, thats why infighting is so useful to those who dont want us to be strong to begin with. its important to help each other, boost each other up, even if some of us arent playing the "right" part irl. are we really just going to sit around and accept the cishet norms as rules to live by? fuck that. not everyones story will reflect it, and you have to accept them anyway if you want a strong community. it doesnt matter how much they might look/act like their agab irl, if theyre telling you otherwise take it at face value, respect them the way you would any other. again, many of us agree with this on paper, but i think we still have to put work into acting on that too.
the end <3

Can you write the TADC cast with a male ballet dancer reader? The reader experiences gender dysphoria 24/7 because they look very feminine and all that.
TADC cast x male!ballet dancer!reader w/ dysphoria
back to finishing up the current line up of requests!! reminder that im only doing requests that have been sent in prior to them being closed! any requests that are sent in while theyre still closed will not be taken and will be deleted so i can keep track of what was sent before closing; its nothing against any of yall and you guys can resend your stuff when they are reopened (i will make it very obvious when they are so dw!!) on a different note i could have sworn i did a cast request with a reader who does ballet; but i guess it was only for jax and i was confusing the group request for the ballora type! reader from this morning huh anyways!! i hope you enjoy this anon! quick warning that i know literally nothing about ballet so im
Tumblr media
CAINE:
i think he enjoys a bunch of art forms; from music stuff to dance stuff to painting stuff, this man has taste. i think he would give you a bunch of outfits for you to wear and swap around that fits your aesthetic. bro would give you a whole walk in closet. as for dysphoria, i think he would do a similar thing with jax and reinforce how masculine you are to him, usually through affirmations, but he also shows it through just being there for you, bro is not only your number one fan but hes also your biggest supporter
POMNI:
i am yet again stumped on what to put in for pomni, since i think pomni is. bad at comforting people. very awkward, do not go to her for advice she will fumble so bad. now its not like shes not trying, but i think she would be all over the place trying to cover everything that could possibly help you; perhaps you two ultimately settle on cuddling one another... if this werent the digital world you two would probably put on a movie to take your mind off of it. as for her thoughts on ballet! i think she would find it neat, similar to jax she would have a form of respect for it!
RAGATHA:
she thinks it looks pretty, the dancing! she wouldnt know all the history or more in depth parts of it but she would watch you practice if you allowed her too... i think she would make you a binder, if your digital body causes any gender dysphoria for you.. though now that i type this i recall it being said that the characters clothing being stuck to their body.. so maybe she would just make you clothing thats more masculine as well? im not sure on this one!
JAX:
doing jax first since he already got a similar post and i can use it as a basis; ive said this in that post as well as the ballora one but i think he would at least appreciate the dedication and hard work that goes into ballet... to like, fully commit to something like that impresses him you know? as for dysphoria, i think he would make it a point to call you more masculine terms. hes gonna be trying his best to try to help you with your dysphoria in the way that best helps you. lays off on his teasing on days where its worse
KINGER:
i am yet again distraught that i do not have many ideas for kinger this time, which is sad because hes my favorite character and i can relate so hard to the dysphoria thing... thinks.. probably throws all of his knowledge at you. i mean hes been in the circus for a while, hes probably seen at least a few people come and go; and sure what are the odds that he has some experience helping someone fight through their dysphoria... a boy can dream! takes you to his pillow fort and lets you stay for as long as you want
probably sits and watches you dance on a makeshift pillow thrown. claps when you're done, probably throws roses... i think caine would throw roses too except he would throw way more simply because he can literally. manifest as many as he wants
ZOOBLE:
i dont usually like sharing my lgbt hcs about characters out of fear that it would be met with discourse but if i recall correctly zooble doesnt really have a gender/a set one (if im wrong correct me!) so they understand the dysphoria thing; i think they would offer to let you hang out in your room and vent your feelings out. probably tries to give advice on how to feel better in general if you want advice, but if you want comfort theyre gonna do your best to give it to you. i dont think zooble would have much of an opinion on ballet; neither negative or positive, simply knowing thats its an art form! supports you if it makes you happy, though!
GANGLE:
while not the same thing, i like to think gangle used to do ribbon dancing in the real world... because... ribbon girl. see look im so so creative
but also i think it looks pretty
so you guys can bond over your hobbies! you might have to pry gangle to open up and talk about her interest in it, assuming she picks it up again in the digital world! as for dysphoria, i think gangle would be like zooble in terms of lending you some support; offers to help distract you if you dont want to tackle the issue at that point in time. i dont know about you, but sometimes i just, dont want to deal with my own dysphoria, but perhaps thats just a me thing

ive been reflecting back on the situation that occured in the community a few months ago regarding a certain individual "coming out" as pr*ship and promptly being ostracized for it, despite their actual demeanor and actions never changing.
i think this is a VERY important example of why we need to really, genuinely take a step back and ask ourselves why we are so inherently trusting when someone does the bare minimum of "pr*ship dni" in their bios/pinned/carrds, when what we need to be doing is noticing red flag behavior and promptly confronting them.
everyone is SO scared to call out questionable behavior out of fear of mislabelling someone or starting #discourse that we genuinely let some really disgusting things in this community that for all intents and purposes ARE pr*ship slide just because said person has "pr*ship dni" somewhere on their page
we NEED to be holding people accountable for their actions and we NEED to confront people, privately or not, about why they are saying the things they do and interacting with the people they do or overlooking some very strange and upsetting behaviors just because its their friend, or that user is popular, or whatever it is. and i am serious. people will, can, and DO use shit like dnis or popular "anti" posts, phrases, etc. as a way to worm their way into our community and we simply let them because they dont "seem" like an outward pr*shipper.
ESPECIALLY in selfship we need to be fucking vigilant about the people we are letting become popular and the things we are normalizing and circulating and who we are interacting with. if someone says theyre an anti and yet all their behavior points towards the opposite why are we not doing anything about it. even if its just one or two red flags out of a million green ones, they should and need to be addressed. they can do better. WE can do better. we NEED to do better to be quite frank for the minors and victims and bipoc and lgbt folk that exist in our spaces im serious and so very very tired

I was gonna ask you this anyway actually bc you know a lot of artists but I just kept forgetting bc adhd is kicking my ass rn but since you wanted asks: do you know of any cool online stores or artists selling stickers? im trying to decorate my new laptop and I bought a few on etsy but I wanna get more
made in a lab to answer this question bc all i do is look for artists that skew cool. i will also give artists that skew cute. some artists are in between these categories, that is, they have a cute artstyle with subject matter that at least at times skews cool. my metric for whats cool and whats cute is pretty much 'based on aesthetics if this were being sold at a basement show in the 90s to 00s would someone get called gay'. if the answer is yes, its cute. if the answer is no, its cool. i dont know if this makes sense but im gonna use this categorizing anyway. i will tag the artists who are on tumblr but otherwise im naming everyone by their instagram handle because thats where i look at art and im on my phone and cant link everyone without losing my sanity
coming back after writing this list i have GOT to put this under a cut
@cursedluver: cute/cool, mostly cool to me, very bright and colourful and his starpions are really fun
ummmheather: cute/cool, mostly cute but shes got some stuff thats silly in a more cool way if that makes sense.
strikegentlyco: cool, they only recently started making stickers so the selection is a bit limited but they do have lots of enamel pins
sheselle: i would say firmly on the cute side of things in aesthetics but i think her sense of humor can be interesting. new to me though. i think you will really love some of her stuff and not really be into others.
@sweatermuppet: cool, lots of queer political stuff
luluvanhoagland: cool but with a soft artstyle so it feels cute.
@sofftpunk: cute/cool, lots of lgbt stuff
thegraveyardrave: mostly cool, they do have a tumblr blog but its specifically for clownposting so i will not tag him
leestrawberrryshop: cute with a cool tilt, mostly white and pink with just lineart but its an interesting scribble/doodle style. memey at times
prettybadco: cool but lately this guys been doing so much i think you should leave fan merch and its not bad but i dont watch i think you should leave and its not what i followed for. the original stuff is pretty neat though
catcoven: medieval. giving this one its own category on the grounds that thats pretty self explanatory and more precise than cool/cute
interrupted by finding a bee in my bedroom while drinking slightly warm tea (house is closed and the windows in my room (also closed) have mosquito nets)
@verdant-succubus: cool but there is body horror and guts and stuff so tread lightly if youre sensitive to that sort of thing.
radhia rahman (knivesmeow): cute but i feel cool when i look at her art
abprallenuk: cool but the colour palletes are strictly pastel
svv.art: very cool
smdefelice: cool. mostly does screenprinting but i am pretty sure they do stickers also. however the shop is currently closed for con prep do i cannot confirm
lilboatboutique: cute/cool has a homesick at space camp sticker which is currently on my water bottle and which i own in 2 variants as an enamel pin.
kerin cunningham: cool. emo. the goat. what else is there to say.
@darbydraws: cool. quite like her stickers although her bread and butter is t shirts. also emo
xraeart: cool. alt streetwear brand so. yknow.
skullingway: cool. theyre one of my favourite artists hands down. not a lot of stickers tho
jordandebney: cool. this guy makes the coolest stickers but most of it is for his subscription box which is fine. theres 2 stickers not behind a paywall
elrosabel: cool stuff, cute style. she kinda like. soft closed. to do polymer clay sculptures. but she might have reopened? i know shes selling stuff under this project again
piratesarrrt: cool but in a soft style. similar subject matter to luluvanhoagland. which is to say weird girl heads.
seankeetonart: cool.
@moonlume: cute. the concepts are cool though
jimibiscuits: cool. this is one of my favourite artists i have. so many of his pins. he doesnt have a ton of stickers though iirc
@8pxl: i am going to invent a category called 'pretty'. i love pixel art and this is my favourite pixel artist ever.
i gotta fuckin stop
go forth and get some stickers

i understand the apprehension towards everything michael burnham goes through when earlier star trek discovery seasons were airing, and if you compare it strictly to every other captain in star trek history, yeah, michael is really disproportionately going through it...
however, imo, if you compare to every other discovery character and the various trauma that gets explored, michael isnt really singled out. its also important to take note that the way a serialized show can and does explore trauma and other issues is vastly different than how an episodic show would approach these topics
discovery doesnt really tread new ground with the topics its explores: the history of star trek is long and the different series have in some way breached more or less everything already. but due to the serialized format, many things are explored in greater depth and detail, and there is no need to wrap storylines up by the end of a singular episode to go back to the status quo
this does make it seem more serious and severe, but its more so the format than plotlines and topics... and i dare say discovery breaches many topics with much more expansive, nuanced and disciplined view than star trek has previously seen, notably how species and culture are separate entities, various LGBT topics, fascism in the mirrorverse and so much more.
it does also have shortcomings, of course, i can think multiple off the top of my head, including some that pertain to narratives treatment of michael sometimes but i swear... its a very different show to watch week-by-week and binging too.
as ive been rewatching it lately, its also really funny how you can pick up all subtle hints for example in the 1st season that certain things arent how they seem and theyre really obvious once you already know whatll happen, ahh...

some thoughts about trans naoto. its mindblowing to me honestly that people still view him as Cis Female when
1.Naoto has done nothing but get really uncomfortable every time theyre referred to or viewed as a girl by the main cast (hot springs scene) (school beauty contest scene) Up until the end of Naoto's social link where the "Right Answer" is to pressure them into presenting effeminately and "admitting they're a woman"
2.Naoto was outed deliberately, and no one even stopped to ask naoto whether this was something they were okay with/The scene with naotos shadow in the laboratory was clearly a reference to a trans affirming surgery/naotos shadow represents everything Naoto has repressed inside, and with the constant allusions to "wanting to be a man" "you'll never be a man" etc
3. What with the misrepresentation/absence of trans people as a whole in general media, a lot of folks have latched onto the image of Naoto as a trans man. as much as i love Persona, it really doesnt do lgbt rep at all, save for years ago when it was more of a niche franchise(p2). I think of Naoto as a trans man, while it may not be "canon" its something that really helps me see myself in one of my favorite series
4. That's another thing-- Atlus does its best in the spinoffs and continuing comics (cough; detectiveXNaoto) to hyper feminize naoto and make him kind of like.... Like the gender confusion never existed, Naoto was always and will always be a girl, Kanji looks stupid, They're both heterosexual.
5. Naoto supposedly wants to "be male" in order to be respected in the workforce , which is a totally reasonable thing to want. I'd believe it more if Naoto weren't adamantly presenting as male in every aspect of life and even at school, going so far as to bind and deepen his voice. Besides, Naoto acts way too trans for the job bs to be the reason he dresses masc. I mean he's 15. And he goes to SUCH great lengths to be seen as male by Everyone(sounds a bit transgender to me) And you can't tell me there was no way naoto could be a female detective. Naoto's dead mom is literally a female detective and she was apparently hugely reknowned by everybody.
The persona fandom likes to draw Naoto blushing in dresses and skirts and shit. im just tired of it because yeah thats clearly how you view trans people XD And naoto would be SO UNCOMFORTABLE like that
But no one cares. No cis persona fan has the capacity to care. 1. Because they're cis 2. Because they're a persona fan.
6. TLDR naoto is a trans king but you knew that already

2. Do you think this fandoms racism has become more obvious due to Louis being a black creole person? Like I feel like people are more aggressive when they say Louis is top because he’s “rough” and Lestat is this dainty pillow broad.
1) i think it would take a lot to surprise lestat sexually [my dude a #BigOleFreak] but the one thing thatd somewhat unnerve him at first is lou breeding kink.. lestat has a very hobbled relationship w being the architect of creation meanwhile louis is like begging to be bred and plugged up so the baby can take. lestat would come around to it & meanly tease lou about it tho :3 if anything i feel like lestat is the one w/ hyperspecific kinks that unnerve louis and take him more time to get used to [we talmbout virginal catholic pimp who despite selling sex and being the voyeur to numerous sexual encounters, his only actual sexual experiences were handjobs & secretly getting head from younger guys prior to les… les got freudian relations & semi normal (nicki) relations, hes been w / men and women before, hes a real freak. i think lestat is a bratty vers whos dom top ways r activated in the presence of louis omega pillow princess pheromones lol]
2) when ppl hear an accusation of a ‘racism’, their only thoughts is some caricature of a confederate/nazi/klan member screaming that they dont want ‘woke’ [if not using the racial slur w/o the euphemism] vampires. when in reality, racism manifested in fan spaces which are predominately composed of white women / white lgbt w/ #blm stickers or bio posts, who have black friends, maybe have even dated or fucked somebody black, manifests as the beliefs they have internalized bc of cultural messaging around black people. their inability to recognize & analyze evident traits in black charas, the inability to relate to the ‘other’, shoving characters who r not such at all into these narrow stereotypes of the mandingo archetype, the stoic black brute, etc. etc. so when they hear us say ‘fandom racism’, they seem to think we’re calling them klan members & personally insulting them. diverting an observation on trends & cultural messaging to personal feelings, so a bystander can go omg how could u do that :( like i said, idrk or care for low bar discourse or throwing shit on ppl but i do think its funny to see ppl make les a dainty delicate waif off 1 hate sex scene that we dont even rly see all the way c. the other scenes we see lol. so they project onto les cuz hes more relatable to them simply cuz theyre both white? my friend who never even watched just knows of it cuz im aggy af mind u made a profound comment i find applicable w les in both book& show verse
‘[its] the contrast between a public show of subversive bi male femininity versus a domestic/private bi male masculinity—that truly applies to a lot of white gays…putting on the performance of gender non conformity but not actually being equitable in your domestic behaviors and simply reifying gendered violence’
nb ppl r more readily able to apply/recognize gnc ~traits~ in pale skin that may or may not be there. i compare les to david bowie & prince bc those men were gnc in performance but very typical to the role of ‘Man’ in their interpersonal& real lives.
& idt louis is that too gnc in his appearance neither, he still favors suits in his heyday yet in dubai has this androgynous unsettling plain black wardrobe. very cold cutting feminine eartha kitt grace jones type appearance/role he plays in this second interview v. the boyish swagger of a typical 1970s black man he puts on in divisadero in sanfran. but he subverts gendered racial stereotypes moreso in his dynamic w nb partners as black men r expected to be overpowering & domineering. where louis holds up gendered racial stereotypes/dynamics as a black man imo is w/ claudia & miss lily, 2 black women, emotionally and physically extracting from the bw in his life and making claudia make the decisions he cant bring himself to do. sorry if this got a lil off topic lol
