Current Star Wars is very serious and that's okay, I guess? It works for shows like Andor and Mando, for sure. But you know what it won't work for? Ahsoka. And not to say that the show can't be overall serious, but the moment —and I really mean the very moment, the very millisecond— Ezra and Sabine reunite, the show HAS to become silly. I don't care if it gives you tonal whiplash. Rebels was a silly ass show and the Ahsoka series should honor that.
I mean, these were Commanders Ezra Bridger and Sabine Wren in their youth:
They are so fundamentally unserious. They do not have any functioning braincells. They must be silly or so help me, I will RIOT.

the vees take up such a unique antagonistic role in hazbin. they're so silly and pathetic except in specific bursts of competence. but even those moments are overshadowed by the way they just brute force everything. vox lost his own diss track against alastor. velvette didn't even do anything with the information she gathered at the overlord meeting. the more valentino lashes out like a child the more he loses control of angel. the person they picked to infiltrate the hotel ended up becoming its very proof of concept. they sung gleefully about the power vaccuum created by alastor's absence only for alastor to reappear 30 seconds later. what are they even doing. they're like an extremely unhinged team rocket

Boyfriends!Ghost and Soap eating you out but their tongues keep bumping into each other and they end up making out in front of your pussy, causing you to squirm and kick and cry out at having to watch your two hot boyfriends kiss when they could so easily turn their heads and kiss between your legs instead... :)

well, I can't say I expected the new chapter to feature Idia (metaphorically) going to (metaphorical) hell, getting a pep talk from his (metaphorical) Phantom brother which helps him finally move on once and for all from his brother's death, and (metaphorically) overblotting again to fight his way back out of (metaphorical) hell, only to have his darkest fear (non-metaphorically) come true when his mom goes through his computer and finds all his secret files. but I am glad it did!
also this is all a flashback for the purpose of explaining to our group what the heck is going on (whether or not any of it is getting through is another matter)

People will reinvent eugenics in a performatively progressive way sooner or later. The idea that people should not be attracted to the disabled because it's fetishizing the power you have over them, the idea that dating someone short is at all comparable to pedophilia, the idea that no one outside of your own race can ever truly understand your experiences and therefore no one outside of your own race could ever truly love you... like, we're not there yet, but every so often I'll see a truly rancid take and think "Now why does that sound familiar?"
(Post edited slightly to better reflect initial intent through clearer language)
