Small(ish) tweaks I'd make to the Konoha 12 and their senseis

Just a little thought of mine. I sat here pondering changes I'd make to the K12 in order to give them more development and relevance in the story. I find most of them to be underrated. These are just a few brainstorming ideas on how I'd rework them. Lemme know if you have questions!

Kakashi--Controversial idea; remove the sharingan and make his copy ninja reputation a power that the Hatake clan possesses. Plus give more detail on his time with the Anbu and more info on the Anbu in general.

Naruto--I'd probably make him less brash and rude, still being respectful to others. Basically like Asta from Black Clover; it makes sense for him to be respectful to those in power if he wants to be in a position of power someday. I'd also make it known that his father was the 4th Hokage early on; it was kinda obvious from the get-go.

Sasuke--Give him more moments of sympathetic character. He cares about others, but he isn't revered by the village as some hero; rather everyone gives him space out of fear of his power (and revenge agenda) as well as feeling bad for what he went through but not really knowing how to communicate this to him.

Sakura--Make her Inner Sakura character a powerful genjutsu technique passed down from the Haruno clan, maybe in the form of a kekkai genkai--not quite on Byakugan/Sharingan level, but close. I'd also remove her mom since Tsunade becomes more of a mother figure than her mom was in the series. Her dad would be a regular person rather than a ninja, having low self-esteem and accidentally passing this onto Sakura by being critical of her as a ninja. I'd also have her train with Kurenai as well as Tsunade during the time skip to hone her genjutsu skills since her dad can only help her so much. I'd also have her crush on Sasuke be more substantial, as it starts off as a little crush, than sympathy, than full-on respect and love when she joins a team with him. Plus make her less rude and aggressive (outside the battlefield, of course).

Kurenai--Give her more screentime to be characterized as the greatest genjutsu user in the village; the original series really does her dirty. Plus give more on her relationship to Asuma, showing her frequent interactions with his team, leading her to teaching Ino genjutsu as well (kinda fits with the plant theme, huh?)

Shino--Definitely underrated. I'd give more focus on his backstory and showcase both of his parents and his clan, not just his dad (who doesn't get much appearance, anyway). Especially focus on how his abilities work; it's pretty shocking how his clan goes about it.

Kiba--Maybe scale back on how much of a jerk he was originally, and make him a rival to Naruto. Whereas Sasuke was a philosophical rival to Naruto, Kiba is a career rival to Naruto, wanting to be the next Hokage. I always felt bad for forgetting that he wanted to become Hokage and that the series never really focused on it much. Also show more of his clan and give him a deeper backstory (maybe diving more into how his mom ran away his dad and how that affected him).

Hinata--Since Kishimoto apparently only planned for the village to only have 100 ninjas, Hinata is a legacy ninja, being the child of the head of the Hyuga clan, so I'd probably make her a bit more motivated, so that she doesn't always need Naruto in order to get that boost of energy, especially considering how her team supports her. I'd also make her dad kinder to her (seeing how soft he got in Boruto, but hey, that's grandparents for you!), with him only being tough because they're in war and the losses he faced. He doesn't see her as useless, but he doesn't think she's up to leading the clan.

Asuma--DEFINITELY focus more on him being the 3rd Hokage's son. Why is this detail always buried?! Maybe focus more on his childhood as a result of this, as well as his romance with Kurenai, and trying to make sure the next generation of Ino-Shika-Cho carries on their legacy.

Shikamaru--Pretty much the same, but make him skilled in medical ninjutsu, given that his clan has a GIANT medical book. It'd make him an even more awesome ninja, plus it's possible Ino would teach him what she learned from Tsunade (though he does learn some things from his dad). His mom should also make more than just a background appearence, imo.

Choji--The same, except showing his parents more, as well as the legacy he has to uphold, maybe even the issues he faces with people making fun of his weight despite his clan needing to consume a lot of calories.

Ino--Make her more than just a Sasuke stan; maybe it's a little crush that makes a rivalry with Sakura, but they're not nearly as cruel with each other. Learning genjutsu from Kurenai as well as medical training and strength enhancements from Tsunade, I'd definitely say she climbed the ranks of ninja!

Guy--Pretty much the same.

Lee--Pretty much the same, but give more info on his background (ie family) before becoming a ninja.

Neji--Show more of his background, especially the pain of being in the branch family and what happened after his visit with Hiashi following his loss at the chunin exams. I like the idea that he still believes in fate, but believes you make your own, somewhat combining his and Naruto's philosophies.

Tenten--GIVE HER MORE ATTENTION! We don't know anything about her family or life, or how she even learned to be so good with various ninja weapons.

Poisons and Senbon are also incorporated in her abilities, to make her jutsu that more deadly.

Kaori is short-tempered, but it mainly stems from a lack of self esteem in herself. Hates talking about it, so if she's opening up to you, you're special no doubt about it. Really admires Rock Lee and his constant determination and positive outlook on life. Strives to also be like that, but it's hard to change her ways. Will mellow out a bit as she gets older.

I know this is too late but like , I have finals.

So “your only job was to stand there and look pretty. You were good at that.” When I tell you this made my self esteem sky rocket 😭😂 I know it has nothing to do with it but damn I loved the confidence, definitely 10/10.

But anyway to see how different I feel about Kakashi in the last chapter compared to his first is crazy. I knew I’d love him anyway but still. I honestly don’t want to be the one that chooses between them. But I’ll love the ending either way. Also if you want to do a spare chapter for the other omega for me I wouldn’t mind 🌚.

No I’m kidding. But anyway I wanna say I love love love this story . I already love the concept and these two characters are my favourite so you gotta know how much I love it. Good job on them and thank you for sharing it with us and making everyone happy with them.

The Odd Similarities between Naruto and Harry Potter

So I love patterns, but only the ones my brains pick up... so, naturally, instead of something useful I noticed a lot of odd similarities between Naruto ( the original) and Harry Potter. Like a lot... it was disconcerting really...

Let me just list a few of them.

The main character looks just like their father with one quality of their mother. Both are orphans and in terms of screen time, daddy dearest gets ten times as much importance with relevant friends and connections born from the dad. Examples being Sirius and Remus, Jiraiya and Kakashi. Both boys are used as a scape goat for a lot of terrible people, and both boys were entirely alone for their youth. Both are marked by their parent's killers, be it Naruto's whisker marks or Harry's Scar.

Both boys make two friends, Sakura and Sasuke and Hermione and Ron at a young age and there is a lot of cross over there as well. Sakura and Hermione are known for their intense intellect and distinctive hair, both are not from a long line of Witches/Ninja and yet both excel when given the chance. Both girls are rude and bossy, though Hermione starts out more useful. Ron and Sasuke are from old lines, both boys look just like the rest of their family and both have self esteem issues to the nth degree. Sasuke and Ron are both poor friends and betray the Main character.

Then there is Orochimaru and Voldemort, who are almost identical. Both rampant, powerful geniuses that screw everything up, fear death, literally work on immorality by splitting their souls and talking to snakes! Both were tied to the main older leader genius, who in both cases ( Dumbledore and Hiruzen) are really useless at their actual jobs... and neither really care for the main character, using them as a pawn against their enemies.

Both Harry and Naruto are regularly ignored by the world, mistreated and kind of lazy. Neither really do much on their own, needing others to do most of the work for them until the last stroke. In both cases, their godfathers are sort of useless and see them as more of their parent than they do themselves.

Both Lily and Kushina give their lives, gives of love, are redheaded and are more plot devices than people...which is kind of gross...

I could really go on, but this would take me hours... Why are they so similar, I mean it is scary how much seems almost borrowed by each story...

So... yeah!

NOTES ON THE WEIRD AU.

The Weird AU: Kakashi and Sakura from a different AU transmigrate into an AU where Minato lives.

AU PRIME

Kizashi dies saving Kakashi's life and asks him to look after Sakura.

This spirals in a way where Sakura ends up Kakashi's apprentice at age 8. She also lives with him.

Sakura calls Kakashi "Dog Man" as an affectionate nickname. Her assigned name from the dogs is "beans" (like pink toe beans), so Kakashi calls her that as a pet name when he wants to annoy her. This is the explanation for the tag.

Just wake up in a new AU one day.

THE AU OF THE AU (WEIRD AU)

Minato lives. Kushina does not. Naruto is still the jinchuriki.

The Uchiha Massacre still happens. It is drive and carried out by Obito and Zetsu this time aaround, because Minato is Hokage so the political situation is very different but Obito still wants his/Madara's revenge. Itachi and Sasuke survive. (Still ironing out details.)

Sakura is an orphan. She and Kakashi should not know each other exist, so them suddenly being close one day is.... confusing.

NARUTO

Grew up with plenty of positive attention from a parent. Has a good relationship with Minato.

Feels a lot of pressure from other people to be a mini-Minato. Got a lot of shit from teachers/peers when he got to school and wasn't particularly academically gifted.

Minato frequently tells Naruto he takes after his mother. Naruto likes reminding people he's Uzumaki Naruto, not another Namikaze. He wants to be a ninja more like Kushina than Minato. Minato approves.

(Naruto keeps his mom's name because it's a clan name and Namikaze is not.)

Started pranking not for attention, but as a way to make himself stand out as his own person.

Overall has had a lot more direction and support, leading to better foundations in most ninja skills than in canon.

Knows who Kakashi because Kakashi hangs around at their house sometimes. Does not know him that well because Kakashi is awkward around him and spends too much time in ANBU.

Still has a crush on Sakura, which makes him treat her with kid gloves. Is the most suspicious of Sakura's sudden personality change post-transmigration.

Doe not want to be Hokage.

SASUKE

Still deeply traumatized by the massacre, but very confident that Itachi has his back. Wants to get even stronger than Itachi because feeling weak terrifies him.

Still fairly anti-social.

There's some conflict with Itachi but I'm still ironing out details in my brain. Will stem from a combination of feelings surrounding the massacre (like survivor's guilt or blaming Itachi for not being there, etc) and how their relationship played out after the massacre (more in the Itachi section).

Still top of his class. Got to train with Itachi sometimes while at the Academy, but not super often.

Does not really notice a huge change in Sakura. Goes, "Huh, guess she was always better than I thought."

SAKURA

Hates being late. Is constantly made late by Kakashi.

Still has a lot of self-esteem issues and mad imposter syndrome.

Will fight you if you underestimate her.

Finding herself in a new body SUCKS because she suffered so much to be faster and stronger and more fit in her original AU.

Also? Her new wardrobe? Horrible. Ugly. WHERE are all her cute clothes???

Has her own puppies, Anmitsu and Azuki, in original AU. Debating how the dogs work in this AU.

Decent tracker. Knows a couple genjutsu. Doesn't know any elemental ninjutsu (yet!) but can do more with the basic academy three than many ninja. Learning kenjutsu but Kakashi won't let her swing a real sword at another genin yet.

Declared herself rivals with Ino after she decided she was going to stand out on her own. Decided to seduce Sasuke after Ino announced she had a crush on him, just to take away something Ino likes. (It's not working.)

Knows Team Gai through Kakashi and is friends with Tenten.

Feels like the transmigration event really screwed her over, since it undid a lot of her conditioning and killed some of her social contacts. Tenten, recognize me.......!

Has been told not to tell anyone she's Sakura-from-another-timeline and that it's unlikely anyone will notice since the original Sakura didn't really have any friends. Is offended on original Sakura's behalf.

Starts off terrified of Itachi but gets over it quickly. He's worse than she could ever imagine but in, like, a really annoying way, not a "kill you in your sleep" way.

KAKASHI

Mixed feelings on the transmigration event. His social connections weren't fucked up like Sakura's were, but original Kakashi is still in ANBU and now his knees hurt?? Having Minato back is a plus.

Every morning Sakura wakes up and attempts to get to training on time. Every morning Kakashi has a new evil plan to stop her. (At some point, Sakura's ability to pre-empt weird shit happening to her is going to make her seem clairvoyant.)

Learned to braid hair to have a bonding activity with Sakura.

Also very slowly learning to cook. It is...... a process.

This are the only notes I have for him so I guess I should figure out some things for him to do LMAO

ITACHI

Stayed in ANBU after massacre because he didn't know what else to do with himself.

Tried to be Sasuke's guardian and then it became very apparent to everyone that the traumatized thirteen year old murder machine shouldn't be in charge of a child. (They let him stay in charge of the murder machine squad, though!)

Sasuke and him ended up living separately as a result, although Itachi still visited regularly.

Itachi gives Sasuke the offer to move in with him when he graduates, since he'll be an adult allowed to make his own decisions. Sasuke declines.

Itachi requests Sasuje's genin team as a way to spend more time with him. Minato is on the fence about it for a while, but eventually decides Itachi IS best suited to lead a team with one of the last sharingan users and their jinchuriki.

Minato, months later: Wait, you only requested that to force Sasuke to be with you all day after he told you he didn't want to live with you? Itachi: Yes.....? Minato: Minato: Okay you DO recognize this is why you weren't allowed to raise him, right?

Definitely recognizes Sasuke will always be his absolute favorite on Team 7 but valiantly attempts to not indulge in favoritism. If you forced his hand, he'd leave both Naruto and Sakura for dead, but also good fucking luck forcing his hand to begin with.

Knows about the Sakura-Kakashi situation. Is not impressed.

So I’ve decided to try and start doing character analysis every once and a while and I wanted to start with Sakura Haruno from the Naruto fandom.

Warning for anime/manga spoilers. I haven’t not finished the anime or the manga so I might get some facts wrong. If so, please correct me. Also, it’s a bit jumbled and all over the place so please forgive me for that.

Let’s get into it!

Disclaimer: I do not claim to be an expert in behavior or character analysis, this is just for fun.

I see a lot of people sort look down on Sakura. I mean, I get it, she can seem annoying with her constant Sasuke-following and fangirling of handsome men. She’s also seen as weaker than her teammates, which makes sense — before she trained with Tsunade, that is.

Let’s start with Sakura’s backstory. From what I can tell, Sakura was born to a civilian family (there is some headcanons about her parents being Shinobis but I believe canon-wise Sakura was a first-generation Ninja.

Since she was born in a civilian household, she had lower chakra reserves than her over-powered teammates (an Uchiha who had already mastered the fireball Jutsu at a young age AND an Uzumaki with a tailed beast sealed within him). This lack of chakra let her break Genjustu easily and also allowed her to learn chakra control fairly quickly. But it had the downside of limiting her Jutsu knowledge (which I don’t really get — couldn’t she have expanded her chakra reserves as she trained? But that’s a whole different theory and topic that I could talk about).

So, as a twelve/thirteen year fresh out of the Academy with zero practical experience and all the book smarts, it makes sense she would be viewed as the weak-link of the team.

Honestly, I think that if Kakashi had given a shit about her training (he knew a thousand Jutsus but could teach like two???), she could’ve become a Genjustu master and possibly a great sharpshooter — wasn’t she the highest ranking Kuinochi of her class, which would mean that she had the best smarts, best aim, and best Jutsu application out of her, Ino, Hinata, and the other civilian girls of the class which is pretty damn impressive, but I don’t exactly know how the scoring works in that exam so she probably just needed to score high in at least two of those sections to be viewed as the “best of the class.”

Sakura had a LOT of potential before she even got trained by Tsunade. She could’ve been given a chakra nature (possibly either earth or water — or fire to match her personality), at least one offensive and one defensive Jutsu that she could use in one more nature (a complimentary one to her natural nature — possibly lightning or wind if it was fire), knowledge in Genjutsu, and decent Taijutsu that could’ve been worked on with the addition of a weapon or long-ranged attack with Shuriken or Kunai (or even a bow).

Add Tsunade’s training which led to increased chakra control, medical knowledge, poison knowledge, and stronger-hitting Taijutsu and Sakura could’ve easily become a sharpshooter poison expert, acting as a support.

And then she got the hundred healing seal, which gave her a bigger buff in strength and allowed for easier self-healing (to a certain limit and at the expense of losing years of her life if she used it too often).

Mix the sharpshooter-medical support with the close-ranged attacks and she could’ve easily become the most versatile character on the battlefield.

Ok, enough about her ability potentials, let’s look at her personality.

As a child, she was bullied for her looks (pink hair, big forehead) and this led to a very subtle low self-esteem that can be seen off and on during the show. Her first friend was Ino, who helped get rid of her bullies and helped build up a little bit of her esteem.

At around ten to twelve (it’s hard to tell their ages at that stage of life 😭) she and Ino break apart due to them liking the same boy: Sasuke.

I don’t know how they went from calm rivals to sworn enemies, but they were kids who were in love, anything can happen at this stage.

I would love to say something deep about why loving Sasuke was so important to her, but I’ve got nothing. Perhaps because of her self-esteem she thought that being with a strong person would lift her up and open her eyes to her own strength (kinda distorted imo). Perhaps she really just liked him for his looks.

That was never actually explained, but man is Sakura loyal af. Even when Sasuke left, even when he tried to kill her at least once PLUS that frickin Genjutsu from the Rinnegan when he tried to kill her, she remained in love with him, perhaps unhealthily so.

She had an unhealthy obsession with him at a young age and it never ended — she’s even married to a guy who constantly put her down. Yikes!

Also, I’d like to talk about “Inner Sakura” who acts as Sakura’s “true personality”: a hot-headed mentally-strong willed girl who loves to pull pranks and punch people. Oops, just described Shippuden Sakura, my bad. But seriously, Inner Sakura (to my knowledge) all but disappears after Sakura becomes a late teen and it’s completely gone (again, to my knowledge) by the time she’s an adult so it makes me think that “Inner Sakura” are Sakura’s repressed feelings that manifested to protect her mental state — which subtly implies that she experienced a traumatic experience at a young age and Inner Sakura was born to protect her, sorta like Mutiple Personality Disorder (MPD).

If we're talking about jōnin Kakashi, well, doesn't he already have three little babies? Why do you want to put him through much worse?😭 JK JK

Kakashi having to take care of a child a.k.a. you would be good for you but maybe not so much for him lol, at first.

Don't get me wrong, he doesn't hate you but at first it's going to be a task. Either assigned by the Hokage or he himself took the duty on himself. Either way it's going to be a task. Taking care of a child is no kid's game.

The thing with you is, you are a child not a baby. So it can be both - a good and a bad thing. Lemme explain.

If you're a curious kid and always ask questions which is a good thing! Kakashi would sometimes get overwhelmed. Like you are a kid, how much does that little brain of yours think anyways?

But that isn't necessarily a bad thing. In fact when you ask him questions even he isn't able to answer he feels oddly proud of you.

Also he also tries to indulge you in intellectual debates! Nothing too serious or traumatising for a kid, no. He doesn't want you to deal with stuff he had to go through.

He thinks it's a good way to stimulate your brain in a positive way. It would help your brain grow and develop cognitive abilities as well as make you a critical thinker.

Okay so at first Kakashi is going to be very… robotic with you. I mean he is going to make a list of what all you would need and make sure it's all done on time and perfectly. That you are content.

But then when you finally start to grow on him and he realises that as a child, apart from materialistic things and daily needs, you also deserve and need affection.

Hahahahaha Kakashi sweat drops real hard at that. Kakashi be like: "IKWYZVEGS HOW TO AFFECTION? BABY NEED LOVE WHAT DO I DO? SOMEBODY FUCKING HELP!"

JK. It isn't that bad. He isn't as stone hard as you think. I mean after Team 7, he is much better.

He would start slowly and carefully. He doesn't want to overstep any boundaries or make you feel uncomfortable around him. Of course it took time for you to trust Kakashi and be comfortable in his presence. So he doesn't want to ruin what you both had worked so hard on.

At first you would be slightly confused at his changed behaviour all of a sudden but you wouldn't stop him. It feels nice. You liked it. So you would let him do it and show it back too.

Slowly and gradually, with both of you working hard on improving your relationship with one another, it would be a very wholesome relationship.

It's your wish if you see Kakashi as a father figure, an older brother or just a very close and amazing guardian.

You trust and respect Kakashi a lot! Even though Kakashi has low self-esteem and doesn't think that highly of himself, your opinions on him are the exact opposite. You want to be exactly like him!

He is brave and strong. He is nice, kind and polite. He is smart and good at quick thinking. And he is an outstanding shinobi. How can someone not like him? He's so cool!

So when you first saw Kashi reading a book you wanted to start reading too. It doesn't matter if you had an interest in reading before or not, now you do even more. You copy him a lot. So you started reading too. Of course not porn but children friendly books.

When you were small, Kakashi would sometimes read you books at bedtime and then you would fall asleep. Now you both sit quietly in the living room or in a training ground with a book in both of your hands and just read. In between you would call him though to ask the meaning of some words or their pronunciation if they are too big.

One of your favourite times is when Kakashi takes you grocery shopping. Weird right? What's fun about grocery shopping?

Well Kakashi does most of the shopping but when he takes you it's because both of you are going to make something special for dinner.

Before you, Kakashi just used to cook basic things and live with it. He didn't care much. He just made sure it was healthy with a balanced diet because he was a working shinobi.

Now though, he likes to, he wants to make different things for the both of you because he thinks you are gonna like it. Sometimes it's healthy, sometimes not so much. Kakashi is very strict about your nutrient intake and healthy diet, keep that in mind. But hey, you can have some cheat days right?

So when you guys go shopping, you are bouncing and prancing around happily looking everywhere with big curious eyes. There's a huge smile on your face and honestly Kakashi feels his heart melt at your cute little face. He sometimes chuckles to himself or shakes his head at your childish antics but you are a child, so that's how you are supposed to be.

Children in Narutoverse don't really get a chance to be kids, well he most definitely didn't. So trust me when I tell you, he feels very happy seeing you act like a child. He wouldn't dare let anyone take it from you. He feels kind of envious that he didn't get that and that makes his goal to protect your innocence even stronger.

Yeah so I was talking about shopping. So after you come back with all the required ingredients as well as small things you asked to buy him here and there which he first denied but then you gave him puppy dog eyes, you guys start with the cooking/baking.

Oftentimes things don't work out and you both make a mess but there are times when you both work in silence and peace. It's a very smooth process. You two work very well together.

When you shop together, you cook together and Kakashi asks you to join him because he wants to teach you things when he isn't there to help you. Of course when he leaves on missions he asks his friends to take care of you but still. He is a firm believer in learning to do everything on your own. It had helped him throughout his life.

Some nights, you hear a scream from Kakashi's room which jolts you awake. You rush to his room only to find him huddled on the bed, legs pressed to his chest and head between his knees. He is whispering soothing words to himself and his position is acting as a hug from himself to himself. Honestly that breaks your heart. Something stabs you right in the chest. You realize for the first time, that the man who has always been so strong and fearless for you, cries to himself at night in the privacy of th four walls where no one can see him. Sure you live with him now but before you, he used to cry himself to sleep. And that just wasn't acceptable to you.

So you slowly crawl up to his bed, slightly tap him so as to not scare him and then place yourself on his lap. Arms wrapping around his waist, you hug him tightly.

You are just a kid. You can't do much. But you know how good it used to feel when Kashi would hold you close to him and whisper soothing words to you. You would just sleep listening to his heartbeat and his fingers in your hair.

"It's okay, Kakashi-san. You are okay. You are in your room and you are safe here." You whisper.

"It's not me I am worried about, little one." He finally speaks, sadly smiling down at you.

You look up and ask him what the nightmare was about. And he just shakes his head, not wanting you to know the gruesome things he has done and seen.

So instead you tell him something. "It's okay if you don't want to tell me. But I just want to tell you that I find you really cool. You are one of the most amazing people I have ever met. You are really very strong. I respect you a lot and I am thankful for having you in my life. Thank you for everything you have done for me. I love you a lot Kakashi-san."

He is speechless for a moment. He doesn't know how to respond to all the things you just said. It had been so long he heard those words though. Yeah, the last sentence struck him hard. It reminded him of when his dad used to say that to him as a child. And then he…

Tears start forming in his eyes and his shoulders start shaking. "I love you too kiddo. I love you a lot."

You both just lay in bed for sometime. He wipes his tears and asks you to go to sleep now. It was late.

"Can I sleep here with you? If it doesn't bother you of course."

"Sure." He ruffles your hair and smiles. That crinkle-eyed smile, and presses a kiss to your forehead. "You never bother me Y/N."

One day he takes you to meet Team 7. Having Kakashi Hatake as your caretaker, you were growing up to be a very smart person. You were observant, careful and mature. So when you met the teenagers you got along just fine with them.

At first Sakura cooed when she saw you and started to treat you like a baby, which you didn't like at all.

But then Naruto got annoyed at all the attention Sakura was giving you. "C'mon what's the big deal about them anyways? They're just a kid."

But Sakura just ignored him and continued babying you to which Sasuke let out an irritated groan. "Stop it, will you Sakura? They're visibly uncomfortable."

He knew how irritating it was when people babyed you. And frankly you were relieved he said something. Sakura immediately stopped after that.

After that, you talked to them and Sakura realized you were so much different and definitely not an innocent ignorant child. She immediately felt bad for her behaviour. But she also felt really proud of you. She was in awe of you. And that was the beginning of your friendship with her. Sakura at that time was a very naïve and immature girl. You weren't all that mature either considering you were just a child but you often found yourself correcting Sakura when she said or did things that were wrong or based purely on her infatuation with the Uchiha boy.

Talking about the Uchiha boy, he was the one who got you into the shinobi world. He was a very focused and determined person and seeing him train and spar made you really fascinated with the shinobi world.

So one time you went and asked him why he worked so hard and why he wanted to become a ninja? His answer wasn't something you understood properly but you got what you needed. And that was the start of your personal journey to become a ninja.

Out of all the three, Naruto was definitely your favourite. Your start was rocky but eventually you both grew to like each other a lot. Naruto treated you like his younger sibling, just how he treated Konohamaru. It was fun being with him.

Oftentimes you would sit on the grass and watch Sasuke and Naruto spar. Kakashi noticed but never acted upon his observations. He didn't really want you to become a ninja. He knew what was to come and he was terrified that you would have to go through that. The thought of you being hurt or even dead, sent shivers down his spine. He didn't want to lose another one of his loved ones. And he had sworn to protect you.

He refused you at first, when you brought up the topic. You were confused. And he wouldn't even give a logical explanation which irritated you. That's what led to an argument. At the end of which you found out what was holding Kakashi back. You felt bad now. But you explained to him how his fears couldn't control your life. That it was wrong. That becoming a ninja is what you want, what you feel connected to, that you wanted to protect him like he protects you.

So he agreed and apologised.

NOW! Movie nights, picnics, annoying Gai and making the life of his genin worse with Kakashi were your favourite things to do. But also, training sessions with him were a great bonding time. You both felt very connected with it.

Talking about Gai, you really liked him too. To you he was very different and very cool. So you two got along just fine. Kakashi even sent you to him when he wanted you to practice your Taijutsu and body building.

All in all, Kakashi is a great guardian who takes care of you a lot, loves you till death and beyond and having you in his life definitely made his life a thousand fold better. He finally had someone to call family. He was very happy and he made you happy too.

Fictional Men I am attracted to and why it would not work out between us

Roy Mustang: committed war crimes, also clearly loves Riza and could never love me the same. Would go on one date with him then hit it and quit it.

Kakashi: the position of traumatized individual with a dead dad has already been filled...by me. Also not sure if my self-esteem can handle being with someone who is a child prodigy. Would have a one night stand with him because I just want to know what it’s like (but realistically would try to make it work before realizing that we both have too many issues to make it work)

Kaidan Alenko: in the military, would be gone for long periods of time (and no I could not join the space navy, I am too scared), also would worry about him dying. I might be down for a whirlwind shore leave romance.

Cullen Rutherford: did some sketchy shit as a templar and also we have very different views on the catholic church I mean chantry. My toxic trait would be trying so hard to make him simp for me but then rejecting him.

Alistair Theirin: he too young for me. I would see this man in the bar and ask when they started letting children in here.

Handsome Jack (I’m ashamed of me for this one): I am a socialist... also cannot deal with the overarching threat that he might kill me, also probably gives no fucks about my feelings which I cannot deal with, I’m too old for putting up with that shit. Has also done TONS of sketchy shit during his whole life. Would avoid at all costs irl. I would not want this man to even know who I am.

Some late additions:

Carth Onasi: I don’t want to be a step mom, not ready for any kind of kids whatsoever. Also takes 5evr to trust people which would not work with my anxious attachment style. Would probably say yes to one date but then realize that I should not be getting into whatever I am about to get into.

Atton Rand: Might have a gambling problem, probably a fuckboy. Would definitely sleep with him and probably regret it.

He thinks it's indicative that you aren't confident and tries to rectify that. I hope you enjoy random, passionate outbursts about how proud and impressed he is by you!

Naruto - He's got just as much passion about your talent and your creations as Lee, he's just slightly less likely to realise that you've thrown anything away. (It's because you definitely have to take out the bins in this relationship. Lee takes out the bins no matter how much you might try to do it so you can't hide it.) He's genuinely in awe of your talent, and he cannot understand a) how you do it and b) how you could think this is bad??? He is genuinely so in awe, it will be great for your self esteem, I promise.

Iruka - Will he take something he likes from the bin and pin it on the fridge? Maybe... He'll also maybe admonish you because the work is amazing, don't throw it away!! Also, making mistakes is an important part of learning and getting better, don't be ashamed of that!

Kakashi - Man, he wants to rescue every 'failure' from the rubbish bin so bad, he thinks you're so talented and he loves it, but he's also scared you'll think he's weird or creepy if you catch him doing it... He will only rescue the art pieces that he believes he can hide from you, so he waits until he really likes one of the rejects.

Itachi - He understands the instinct to throwaway non-perfect creations. When he was learning to cook, he would throw shuriken at you if you attempted to eat any of his failures, and he doesn't want to be a hypocrite. But, if he really likes something you've made, and he sees you throw it out, he might rescue it and put it somewhere secret, just for him.

Neji - Neji isn't going to rummage through the crafts you've rejected, it feels like an invasion of privacy and a little weird. He's happy to wait until you've got one you're happy with to show to him.
