I'm 17. I'm a dancing queen young and sweet. Where's my fucking teenage dream. The rise of a king and the fall of a queen. All alone on the edge. Bite your face to spite your nose. Out the window crazy running wild wild. I don't know anything but I know I miss you.
Dancing queen - ABBA // brutal - Olivia Rodrigo // Seventeen - MARINA // Edge of Seventeen - Stevie Nicks // girls - The 1975 // Starlight - Taylor Swift // betty - Taylor Swift

Happy Pride Month!!!!!

Here's a panel that I saw reading a Little Nemo comic a few months ago which I thought out of context would be a hilarious reaction pic. However, I'm straight so I'm posting here for all the queer folks to use.

Album recs based on your brand of Existential Crisis
If you are on the fence between fascination and terror over the unrelenting development of technology: Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino by Arctic Monkeys
If you feel that, despite how hard you're trying, things aren't going to get better: This Is What It Feels Like by Gracie Abrams
If you fear that the Internet and the fucked up state of the world are messing up our capacity to intimacy: A Brief Inquiry Into Online Relationships by The 1975
If you are in the same situation but with an even bigger tendency to using humour as a coping mechanism and an even bigger feeling of isolation: Inside (the songs) by Bo Burnham
If you feel you are too much for everyone and fear no one will ever truly love you for who you are: Melodrama by Lorde
If you desperately want to do something important enough with your life to be remembered and your goals are so big you fear you will never be satisfied: the Hamilton soundtrack
If you are having a full scope Life Crisis including fear of time, fear of death and thinking a lot about how strange everything in human existence is: The Dark Side Of The Moon by Pink Floyd (absolute classic)
If you fear your life is doomed because the way you were brought up and the trauma you've experienced conditioned it to be painful: Preacher's Daughter by Ethel Cain
(Please note these recs aren't supposed to fix said crisis, multiple of these would probably make it worse lol)
Feel free to add more!

I think it would be really cool if Melanie Martinez released a ballet-inspired album. Imagine a design inspired by big stages with intricate decorations and ballerina costumes, all pink and flowery to match her "childish" aesthetic. Imagine an album structured like a whole ballet, incorporating musical elements from it, like classical instruments. Imagine metaphors about professional ballerinas expected to work tirelessly and look perfect, like many female pop artists. Imagine how insane the set design could be for a tour inspired by ballet, all the elements from ballet itself she could add to the show.
Idk, I just came up with the concept "ballet inspired pop album" and I think Melanie Martinez could pull it off incredibly well.

All Too Well: the poetry collection
Last year I wrote seven poems inspired by the All Too Well short film, one for each chapter, reinterpreting the story of love and heartbreak through poetry.
Each poem includes at the beginning a quote from a different song, some by Taylor but there's also Maisie Peters, Lorde, Gracie Abrams and Troye Sivan.
(Note: the collection is inspired by the short film but you don't need to have seen it or even listen to Taylor to understand/enjoy the poems)
So this is probably my favourite poem from the project:

The whole thing, all 7 poems, is actually on ao3 so if you wanna read, this is the link!

Six of crows AU where everything is the same except Jesper carries a UNO reverse card everywhere and he uses it whenever he loses a card game. That's actually the reason why he was banned in so many gambling houses

If any Crimson Rivers fans see this, reblog with a lyric (or multiple lyrics) that you think sum up the fic.
My candidates include "a long cold war with our kids at the front" from American Teenager by Ethel Cain and "You're so much more than the wars you've won" from Heirloom by Sleeping At Last (though that whole song is very heavily crimson rivers and black brothers coded)

Let's play a game. You can choose option 1 or 2.
If only one person chooses 1, they win.
If more than one person choose 1, I win and everyone that chose 1 will be confined to the Corner of Shame.
If no one chooses 1, I win and everyone who voted, including those that chose 2, gets confined to the Corner of Shame.
(You have a day to vote, meanwhile I'll be busy searching for a place to put the Corner of Shame)

Modern songs that give me Daisy Jones & The Six vibes
I finished that book recently and I loved it so much. Here are some songs (not period accurate, and based mostly on lyrics) that I associate with it:
mirrorball - Taylor Swift (there is literally a quote from the book about Daisy that I underlined and annotated the title of this song next to it)
Most of Harry Styles' first album tbh (maybe because it's influenced by classic rock)
West Coast - Lana Del Rey
The Next Best American Record - Lana Del Rey (I was stalking Taylor Jenkins Reid's account on instagram and i saw she had reposted an edit about the book with this song, and it's so perfect)
Born To Die - Lana Del Rey
Radio - Lana Del Rey
Ride - Lana Del Rey (yes, I'm putting a lot of Lana, i think Daisy would love her music)
Arabella - Arctic Monkeys
Not Another Rockstar - Maisie Peters
