lupercalia, babyyyy! and suddenly, mark antony appears—
this is a re draw of a comic I posted back in October! If I bothered to keep track of dates, I would’ve scheduled this post weeks in advance and for much earlier in the day like I do with the Ides of March lmao

You ever think about how Ryne probably got a more honest yet closed-off Thancred while Minfilia got a more disingenuine yet open Thancred?
Like, the Thancred Minfilia knew and grew up with was the one we saw in arr, the flirty, teasing and sassy but friendly man who was clearly not very honest seeing as no one- not even Minfilia- noticed how worn out he was from his constant work. Even just by hw he's noticably more prickly and. not quite rude but. more outwardly cynical? He's always been kinda cynical, but in arr his teasing and banter hides it well, which never disappears but is more. natural? genuine? now. Krile directly points out that he's much more brusque than she expected of him based on how Minfilia described him.
And sure, you could attribute that behaviour to his grief and stress (which is certainly a part of it) but considering he acts much the same in ew, when he's finally moved on and come to terms with everything (and is also post-shb character development), I think it's safe to say that this is the most honest we've seen Thancred be.
But this is all Ryne has known him to be. She's never seen Thancred be flirtatious or as social and friendly as he is in arr, she's only seen him be brusque and cynical but still teasing and kind. But he's also far more closed off from her (and others) bc of That Whole Deal going on. Urianger has told her more about Thancred's true feelings than Thancred himself has. and even that's not a lot, for Urianger is not only not a mind reader and doesn't know everything that goes on on Thancred's head, but also is reluctant to share more than is necessary since it's not his place to divulge these things (and also he himself is not free from the folly of emotional self-isolation).
With Minfilia though, he's open enough that she's never doubted that he cared for and loved her even when he couldn't spend much time with her, and she felt comfortable enough to admonish him when he did his usual self-destructive behaviour (you know, becoming an alchoholic at 17 and All That Entails)
Just. food for thought

Thinking a lot about this map and as someone I theorized that there are many other worlds. The world of Myths and Legends being one apart from Monster Word and Ever After. (Guided by the narrators who mention that place when introducing Cupid.)

"Hold on, hold on," said the Bursar. "Yes, indeed, figuratively a word is made up of individual letters but they have only a--" he waved his long fingers gracefully "--theoretical existence, if I may put it that way. They are, as it were, words partis in potentia, and it is, I'm afraid, unsophisticated in the extreme to imagine that they have any real existence unis et separato. Indeed, the very concept of letters having their own physical existence is, philosophically, extremely worrying. Indeed, it would be like noses and fingers running around the world all by themselves--"
That's three "indeeds," thought William, who noticed things like this. Three "indeeds" used by a person in one brief speech generally meant an internal spring was about to break.

I am not going to talk about "low morale" because I really don't care, but the tags are extremely wrong.
Source: I spent the last two years in a city in 45 kilometres away from the frontlines (Zaporizhzhia). Air strikes and air defense sound different. While I can't say for sure that there was no time Ukrainian air defense misfired into a residential building ever anywhere, I can guarantee that the most notorious destructions of residential buildings here were all air strikes.
This is what I am direct witness of, but what I saw from destruction of Kharkiw doesn't resemble air defense misfire either. I didn't pay close attention to other cities, but I can believe in situation there being the same.

i’m sooo curious on bill meeting dipper’s parents. i think i remember you mentioning at one point they kinda sucked and treated dip especially bad. i’m sure that’s caused a lot of his long term mental health/self esteem issues and i can’t help but think his husband wouldn’t be too thrilled about that. also they don’t even know he’s married so that’s a whole other thing lol
In the Familiar AU, Dipper's parents shipped him and Mabel off to Grunkle Stan back when they were twelve, actually!
This was initially excused as the twins 'needing to get used to having magic'. Which makes sense! Magical puberty is a heck of a thing, and getting some training's useful to cut down on random magic surges.
But by the end of the summer, they hadn't made any plans for picking the kids up. This when Stan twigged to the real situation.
And by the end of that year, Dipper knew his 'paranoid' assumption was absolutely correct.
So the twins grew up in Gravity Falls, with only very occasional visits back 'home'. Contact's been sporadic, and Mabel's been the one who's clung more to their parent's attention. Dipper hasn't spoken to them unless forced to in years.
So yeah! Bill's not exactly thrilled with the parents - but lucky for them, they haven't met him yet! And they definitely don't know about the marriage. Much less anything else.

Absalom fights using two invisible bazookas, but, like, where does he put them when he has to grab stuff?
I could see him strapping one across his back, but two seems messy and inconvenient

You know when you think about it, like, yes, Crocodile was theoretically weak as shit when he got his ass handed to him by Baby Luffy in Alabasta. His sudden power-up in Marineford and current bounty feel kind of out of place for him, right. Like if he lost to Baby Luffy, then surely this man can't be that stronk, right
But of course, to be fair, by the time the two fought Crocodile had been sitting on his ass for over a decade in the middle of Paradise, never having to lift as much as a finger to completely overpower the weak haki-less pirates that would pass by Alabasta every now and then. It is an entirely fair argument that Crocodile was just straight up rusty and Luffy just gave him the first workout he's had in a decade (which he was not prepared for, at all)
(Also Crocodile was overconfident, it's entirely possible had wasted a lot of energy toying with Luffy, and by the time he started to take things seriously he was already starting to get worn down. So like, he lost to hubris, his own overconfidence)
But also, considder this
The only person we know Crocodile's ever lost to (besides Luffy) was Whitebeard. And more specifically, Whitebeard, when he was young and spry and not dying of Old Man Disease. Crocodile lost to Whitebeard when he was arguably at his strongest.
So theoretically speaking, Crocodile's power level doesn't have to be tied down to his defeat to Pre-Gear Luffy, rather, we know his power level just doesn't reach Primebeard Levels. It's a scale
Regardless of wherever Croc might actually land on that scale specifically, Primebeard is just beyond Crocodile's max.
Or at least was, when Croc was in his early 20s. He did spend over a decade lazing around, but he's also had a full timeskip to workout and get swole again, so who the fuck knows, maybe current Croc COULD sweep not just WB but also Primebeard

Below are some arguments for each option.
Yes:
The sound effect for collecting them is a bite sound
Despite running all the time, Peppino does not lose weight
"It's funny, why not?"
No:
It is a sound effect with no real meaning behind it
This concept art shows Peppino counting all of the Pizza Points he's collected
When Peppino gets hit, he's shown losing Pizza Points as they fly out and away from him
Don't forget to reblog for a larger sample size.

so Beta Latula in this would be like a Dragon Queen right?
Her Radical Adjudicator was the last empress of alternia, executed hundreds of sweeps before the beginning of SGRUB.
she was the first, and last, empress to ever be put on trial.

People will say the jedi are bad for “playing politics” (choosing to help people strategically/prioritizing saving as many people as possible instead of one main character) then immediately say the jedi didn’t do enough politics (didn’t somehow force the senate to stop the war/clone rights/etc.)
