♠Deuce: Transmasc. The vibes. Won't elaborate. ☘️Trey: Transman. I never analyse trey but he just happens to look like half the transmen I know ok. 🐙Azul: Transmasc. Hating his body and also the aesthetic he has for his clothes. 🐬🦈Jade & Floyd: They Identify as a threat. They wear uniforms now but i think if you let them pick their clothes themselves they'd look insane. I just dont think gender would be as focused on in merm culture. 🐍Jamil: Transmasc. Again the vibes. Wearing hoodies all the time, trying to not be noticed etc etc. 👑Vil: Enby ICON. If you EVER insinuate this person cares abt the gender binary I'll teleport in your house to delete your kneecaps. 💀Idia: Transfem. A friend introduced me to this hc and it changed my brain chemistry. I think it works for many reasons, including but not limited to: avoiding going outside and being seen in an all boys school, only talking through a tablet, not wearing the school uniform but wearing ur hoodie etc. I also think that anything Idia does thats very cringe as a guy, is actually very girlboss and pathetic girlcore of her as a girl. For diasomnia I rlly dont think any of them knows what gender is. I dont think anyone in briar valley cares. 🐉Malleus: "A "gender" you say, child of man? Interesting. You can tell me more about your human customs." 🦇Lilia: ... LOOK at him. He uses 34 neopronouns and can propably change appearance at will. ⚔️Silver: Raised by the 2 guys above. What's a..gender? Can I use it as a weapon? No? Useless then. ⚡Sebek: Also doesn't know what gender is. Can I eat it? No? Tch. He still prefers looking masc, it suits him and he looks up on his gramps and malleus and silver so it fits a bit more. (insert essay abt hating how u were born, the weakness that comes with it copared to others, and then projecting that hate on others can b a trans narrative too.)(also we know he trains like crazy only to have lesser results frm other ppl, which could b read as being afab since muscle is harder to gain)(yes silver is canonically stronger)

Billy 🎭 Billy doesn't. He just doesn't live in the past and doesn't care about the future. If anything maybe he regrets not being more of a menace. 🌌 Being ripped back down to hell. Dezzi 🎭 He eats himself up over how much of a overbearing horndog he was when he met Token. Having now caught feelings he feels he ruined any chance with Token. Dezzi would change how he behaved with Token in a heartbeat. 🌌 His origins are a mystery much like they are for others in the household. But just like the others there are fragments that show themselves in dreams. A death of someone important haunts his dreams but he can never place who.

They had the passing thought to invite Albert, but it seemed he and Jade went out for a hiking trip that had been planned for a couple weeks. Tidus, though, would never miss an opportunity to hang out and observe what humans did for beach activities. Octavinelle seemed to have, for those needing, a dorm-colored set of trunks available, so when he didn't feel like swimming in his whale shark form, he had something to wear. "They have such interesting games and traditions! I'd have to look up where, but I heard some have a blindfolded watermelon smashing contest, 'Suikawari' I think it was called. I just wanna watch-I think I'd obliterate it on accident if I went all out. ^///^"

Despite inviting malleus along, it didn't take long for Eugenio to get separated and dragged off into some shenanigans. Grim, Ace and Deuce were already dragging him off into the sea to play.

It should've been obvious from the smirk on Aces face that he had something planned, but when doesn't he? It started out fine and dandy, the trio simply messing around with Yuu making use of the water guns lying around. Yet as they dipped farther off shore, something in the water seemed to shift.

The only warning sigh was a long shadow cast below the surface, but by the time Yuu realized Ace was swimming away, it was too late. "BAH~!" Floyd luanched out of the water lifting Yuu straight in the air. The hangtime wasn't long as Floyd quickly tossed Yuu back down into the water.

Meanwhile Tidus had caught sight of the whole event. Distant yelling at Ace was enough of a distraction to not see where the eelmer disappear to. Even if he wasn't the target, Tidus was not gonna stick around this close if it meant getting dunked!

I still haven't decided exactly how the ship is gonna work, but I'll try my best to organize my thoughts and explain my ideas so far for you~ I'll even add Akshaya's banner. I need to make one for the ship hahah

Akshaya definitely mets Epel through either Jack or Yuu. They're the two people she sitcks to at first and she's really bad at making friends, so she just tags along with them. One of the times when the 1st year group is together is when she and Epel are introduced, most likely.

They're just acquitances from then on, but at some point Epel helps Akshaya out with something (still undecided, but in the vibe of "catching her before he falls" or "blocking a ball that was gonna hit her"). Either way, Akshaya thinks that was a cool move and tells him "Thank you, you're so cool!" or similar. "Cool" is definitely on the "manly" side of praise (you know, from Epel's basic boy gender norms perspective XDD), so Epel gets all happy about it and boasts a bit.

Akshaya takes more notice of him from then on. She mostly enjoys when he's being "himself" and not meek for Vil. And she genuinely thinks he's cool and manly and all that. Basically, she admires what she lacks (she's so shy and meek). So she tells him. And since Epel likes those kinds of comments and attention, he'd keep showing off for her at the same time.

Little by little they'll get closer and somehow(?) they end up being a couple. I haven't thought that far ahead hahahah

And now, some little things I also have in mind for them or that make me like this ship, in no particular order:

They're a really confusing couple gender-wise. For others, mostly, they each have their own gender clear. But with Epel looking so "cute/femenine" by traditional standards, and Akshaya being more in the non-binary appearance wise, dressing in a really neutral way, it's easy to mistake who is what. And you know what? Too bad, you shouldn't judge people's gender by their appearance anyway~ But yea, I find this kind of thing fun to play with~ Also, Akshaya is 1cm taller than Epel (he'd hate that forever, maybe he'll grow taller than her in a couple of years XD). It's a small difference, so they basically look the same height 😌 It's just cute!

Kula is a bit more sceptical about Epel at first. In the end, he's the most cautelous of the two and his priority is always to keep Akshaya safe. He also doesn't think Epel is as cool as Akshaya does, but mostly just rolls his eyes at her about that hahaha. He warms up to him after, and mostly does not care as long as he makes Akshaya happy. When Akshaya and Epel are having a moment or they spend time together after they become a couple, Kula will either hide himself away inside Akshaya's clothes and sleep, or go to a hidden close-by location and sleep there until they're done. At that point, he trusts Epel, so he has no worries leaving them "alone".

I like to imagine Akshaya tagging along in the Harveston event too. I did a drawing of it for Twistober this year~ But a bit more about it. Akshaya is terrible with the cold, so even if she prepared in advance and put a lot of clothes on the day they go there, she's still cold af. They give her one of the warmest outfits later when they change, and Epel keeps checking on her to make sure she's never too cold. He even will give her his poncho sometimes to help her keep warm 🤭 And well, she'd love the part about making their own little animal plushies to help with the race! She loves cross-stitching the most, but also likes sewing in general. She'll be really happy learning about the tradition and how they're used. She'd make a snake plushie for herself, of course! She'd also be interested on how the traditional outfits they wear are made and probably chat with Epel's grandma about them for a while~ She'd be extremelly awkward around her at first, tho. Akshaya is super shy after all, and she wants to make a good impression on her. But seeing how she's really sweet (usually), and she's similar to her grandson, she'd quickly warm up to her ❤

Also, regarding the song I shared yesterday, I think some of the character developement for Akshaya will come from being close to Epel. With the other 1st years as well, but since she'll end up being closest with Epel, he'd have the most influence. Just how he openly welcomes her, always includes her and is really nice to her. He'll also be patient when she's all shy or can't quite make up her mind about something because of her fears of rejection. And slowly, she'll be a bit more open and be less social awkward~ (she's still that way, though, that won't go away completely hahah but getting better slowly 😌)

On another note, because of how you worded your ask… I realized I could even add some symbolism about the apple and the snake hahaha I never thought about it but it could be fun XD If only I knew more about religion(?). Maybe I'll ask a friend of mine who know a bunch about it if she has some ideas for this C:

And I think that's all I have for them so far~ One day I wanna answer those "ship questions" I have with them~ that would be fun :D

Hyello! Sorry if this is super outta nowhere-I'm absolutely in love with your writing! Your TWST OCs are super creative and actually got me wondering your thoughts on their perceptions of my two: Albert and Yuu.

I would say, off the bat, Al would be VERY conflicted with Basil-my boi loves the 'Deep Pressure Therapy', but abjectly hates having his will/consciousness wrenched outta his hands (long story).

And Yuu would 100% trade a few bowls/plates of homecooked food (and be an open ear for complaints about Crowley-they have a few grievances, themselves) to have a second to oggle at Ceri's gauntlets

Can I just start by saying how much I adore the dorm uniform designs for your ocs? Now I wanna draw Ceridwen in it! It's the perfect combination of shabby-chic that Ramshackle def needs to have.

Basil can’t possibly allow the prestigious dorm leader of Ramshackle to get burn-out, or worse succumb to the stress of his duties and have a mental breakdown...is what he would say. In reality, Albert’s stress is a goldmine for the snake. 

All Basil will think about when he sees Albert is getting his tail around him. But won’t that trigger his fear of losing control? Panic is no good to Basil. Stress is what he deals in. 

His solution would be to hypnotise Albert first. 

Once Albert is hypnotised he won’t realise that he not in control. As the stress seeps out of him he’ll only fall deeper under the spell, and probably wake up not remembering a thing.  

(Also, Basil’s nickname for Albert would be Hare. Why? Hares are swift creatures and Albert’s time-slowing UM would make it seem as though he was moving faster than everything else. And Albert’s vain side will also remind Basil of the tale of the Hare and the Hedgehog).

Ceridwen wouldn’t just show her gauntlets to Yuu, she’d offer to make them their own pair. No food or therapy required. The inspiration behind making the gauntlets was her hatred of being defenceless, and with Yuu being magicless too, she won’t sleep until they have a pair for themselves. 

However, food and therapy are more than welcome in general. 

Ceridwen does have a tendency to isolate herself at NRC because the imposter syndrome of being magicless at a mage school is stifling. (Help this girl, she’s homesick and nervous 24/7 despite appearing cheerful). Any food Yuu makes her will be appreciated, and if they want to rant about life to her, she’ll listen for hours if needed. (Expect UK vs US jokes, too)!

Yuu will probably become to Ceridwen like Luz is to Eda in the Owl House. Must protect. If Yuu is in any sort of trouble, she’s there - big sister mode: on. She’d even run in front of an overblot for them.

Definitely something useful (at least for him lol). For example: If it's Deuce, a gift card for Sam's shop. If it's Trey - a set of confectionery nozzles. If it's tweels - brass knuckles.

👹 How much patience does you OC have? Are they patient? Or are they easily irritable?

Oh boy... His patience is like Floyd's mood swing. He can be fine for hours, but if he loses patience, it will be like lightning. Fast, loud, maybe someone gets hurt. But just as quickly, he will return to his normal state.
