The 1990s. It was the best of times, it was the best of times...
Ahh... the 90s. What a time to be alive. People often throw around the phrase "Halycon Days", but believe you me, the 90s was the real Halyconian deal. It was a time of peace, prosperity. Simpler times, you may say, awash with simple pleasures, the promise of "The World Wide Web", and a little start-up called Starbucks. People thought Furbies were spying on them, AOL Instant Messenger revolutionized the way we communicate, and Alanis Morissette wrote a hit song, "Ironic", which misunderstood irony. It was the golden era of the shopping mall, in which parents purchased exciting new electrical goods in the latest fruitless attempt to heal their gaping spiritual void, as teens on skateboards, with tufts of hair sprouting through their backward-facing caps, loitered around outside blowing gum and wearing black t-shirts with skulls on them.
For reasons unbeknownst to us, #the 1990s is trending, and we are here *clap* for *clap* it *clap*. *ouch*

They made it.
It started with daemon gifting the necklace to rhaenyra and saying "turn around" and now they are a married couple like really married and having kids and no i'm not normal about this like not at all.
We have gone from the necklace, to them being alone. Daemon on a real battlefield and rhaenyra at the battlefield of the court, having to deal with alicent and viserys getting married and having a son. Both of them covered in blood by the end of the episode, being far away from each other but still a kind of mirror.
Then we got daemon coming back home. Home to rhaenyra and them sharing a cup, talking about a political marriage and daemon recognizing how lost rhaenyra was.
He did take her out of the red keep (yes when it started that man may had some kind of chaotic plan but it's daemon so yeah) and he showed her the world outside, showed her pleasure.
And whatever he thought that night would bring him it surely was not that he had to drown himself in a bottle (or 5) because when he kissed her and realized that there was so much more then just pissing of viserys or the throne or a little game, that rhaenyra touched a part of him that he had tried to ignore, to keep deep down and that he fell in love with here.
While daemon was getting blackout drunk to erase the feeling of her lips rhaenyra thought one more time that he abandoned her she slept with criston, for her own pleasure because "fucking is a pleasure"
Daemon having a really bad morning, humiliated by viserys on the floor of the iron throne then finally was honest, not only with viserys but with himself "I want Rhaenyra. Wed her to me."
Then the wedding party, where daemon and rhaenyra not so secretly look at each other everytime they can, everytime the other one might not be looking.
Laena talking to daemon while daemon in that moment had only one name on his mind: Rhaenyra.
When he gets to her, she shows him her anger, the frustration and asks him not only provocatively but really meaning it "Take me to dragonstone and make me your wife" And we all now he would have done it if he got a chance but it was not yet the right time.
Daemon goes to essos, marrying laena and becoming a depressed and bitter man, yearning for rhaenyra. Saying he does not miss his home and yes its not westeros he is missing, it's rhaenyra and rhaenyra is his home.
Rhaenyra is now married to laenor, has given birth to her and harwin strong sons and in a way living after daemons words. She misses him, she feels lonley and lost, not like her true self, even though harwin gives her enough comfort to go one.
At the funeral of laena its not question if the two of them are having their much needed talk but when.
Once again both of them are following every move the other one makes.
When they have their beach walk Rhaenyra finally says it "I want you" The three words that daemon deeply needed to hear. The feelings are still there, have grown even stronger over time and they finally sink into each other, exploring each other, feeling each other.
They get married in the tradition of old valyrian, they do it exact the way daemon asked viserys do it 10 years ago.
And now we are here, with this picture of those two. Daemon holding rhaenyras hand, while she is touching her baby belly, them being absolutely crazy in love.
They made it.
And you can now find me crying in my room for them.

"But why do I notice everything? She thought. Why must I think? She did not want to think. She wanted to force her mind to become a blank and lie back, and accept quietly, tolerantly, whatever came."

The Years by Annie Ernaux
Part collective, part personal memoir. Told in fragments of memory and culture.
As Ernaux says herself, " There is no 'I' in what she views as a sort of impersonal autobiography."

Wonka || The Years bewteen of The Two
The years between of Willy Wonka & Violet that I want to share was in 1971, when Violet starts to inflate, her belt blocks some of the swelling at first, but that's not the case. She was 13 when she was chosen to star opposite Gene Wilder in Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory. & on Wednesday, Denise Nickerson/Violet Beauregarde, now 59, recalled the moment during the making of the 1971 classic when the late legendary actor, Gene Wilder/Willy Wonka and comedian won her over. 'When we filmed in the chocolate room and he sang Pure Imagination that just... he stole my heart,' she told People. But in 2005 which was Charlie and The Chocolate Factory, when Willy Wonka thinks about Violet grabbing the gum, she'd rather you didn't. There's still one or two things that are a...oh yeah, to Violet Beauregarde who once said;  "I'm the World Record holder in chewing gum. I'm not afraid of anything!" But he didn't care at first. But now in 2023 which was Wonka, it was only them from the place it's been token when willy found out he was walking out of the city highway with Noodle, but it's him with Violet staring of the years between the two of them. Where do the years come from? Rules: DO NOT STEAL MY ART! No Rude Comments please. Willy Wonka & Violet Beauregarde both belong to Wonka.

Quote
Everything will be erased in a second. The dictionary of words amassed between cradle and deathbed, eliminated. All there will be is silence and no words to say it. Nothing will come out of the open mouth, neither I nor me. Language will continue to put the world into words. In conversation around a holiday table, we will be nothing but a first name, increasingly faceless, until we vanish into the vast anonymity of a distant generation.
Annie Ernaux, The Years (trans. Alison L. Strayer)

Andrea Kowch - The Reunion.
* * * *
“There must be another life, she thought, sinking back into her chair, exasperated. Not in dreams; but here and now, in this room, with living people. She felt as if she were standing on the edge of a precipice with her hair blown back; she was about to grasp something that just evaded her. There must be another life, here and now, she repeated. This is too short, too broken. We know nothing, even about ourselves.”
Virginia Woolf - The Years, 1937.
