listen to your heart
while working in retail isn’t all that horrible most of the time, you despise it over the holidays. everyone goes crazy as they search for last-minute christmas presents for their loved ones, friends or anyone else.
today was one of those days when everything was so annoying that you really thought about quitting your job right then and there.
luckily, your shift has ended and you are now on your way back home. you seem to be forgetting what a terrible day it has been so far as you imagine yourself curled up in your warm bed while drinking hot choco and watching your comfort movie.
“*y/n*, someone is waiting for you in your room,” your mom says after giving you a big hug when you arrive at home.
you‘re confused as to who it could be, until you recall that your best friend anton texted you saying he‘d drop by later as you were spamming him with messages about that one costumer who was extremely rude to you.
you run up the stairs to your room. you’re not so sure why you’re so eager to see anton, but you can’t help yourself. being with anton after a tiring day makes you feel at ease. he just has that effect on you.
“ohhh, slow down,” anton sits up on your bed. you can tell he made himself feel at home because just a second ago he was laying in your bed as if it was his own. “why are you running? is the rude customer after you?”
since you can’t tell anton that you hurried up to your room because of him, you just throw yourself on your bed. “no, i just really missed my bed. it has been an exhausting day.”
“and here i was hoping that you were running because you couldn’t wait to see me,” anton pouts, leaning back on your bed.
you’re right, you think. but i can’t let you know..
“well, apparently you were missing me because how are you at my house when i’m not even there?”
anton shrugs. “so what if i missed you, is it so wrong to miss your best friend?”
you’re shocked at how casually anton can say things like this. does he truly not realise how much of an impact his words have on you? it irritates you that he's saying these things and acting so dreamy when you're already trying to shake the thought that you like him — much more than you could ever imagine liking someone.
you sigh, laying down on your back. “i just really need to rest.”
“hey, come here,” anton pats next to him. “we can rest together.”
for a second, you’re not sure if you should really go and sit down next to him, because your feelings are all over the place today and you don’t know what could happen, but you push those thoughts aside and just go for it.
“you can lay your head on my lap. i will give you a head massage. i‘m a pro,” anton softly smiles at you.
god, he really isn’t making it easy to not fall in love with him, you sigh. your head is telling you not to do it, but for once in your life, you decide to listen to your heart instead.
you place your head gently on anton‘s lap. you’re afraid you won't be able to resist kissing anton if you open your eyes and see him staring down at you, hence why your eyes are closed.
anton starts massaging your head softly and you’re surprised at how good it actually feels.
“i didn’t expect you to be actually good at this,” you say.
“i told you i‘m a pro,” anton chuckles. hearing him giggle put a smile on your face and usually you would try to hide that, but right now, you’re just letting it happen.
“there it is,” anton whispers softly as he touches your cheek, causing you to open your eyes immediately.
“what?”
“your beautiful smile.”
you start laughing nervously. what’s his deal? why is he being extra sweet today?
“don’t say such things, anton.”
“why not?" his hand returns to your head, but instead of giving it a massage, he plays with your hair, twisting it around with his index finger.
“best friends don’t say that..” what you just said has a sad undertone, but you don’t care. maybe if anton knows that he’s kind of playing with your feelings, he will stop being like that.
anton shakes his head. “no, they don’t.. but here’s the thing, *y/n*..”
the sudden change in the atmosphere makes you nervous so you sit up. still close to anton, but there’s a little distance between the two of you now.
“i‘ve been trying to tell you for the longest time that i don’t want to be just best friends with you,” anton blurts out. “i thought it was obvious that i like you.”
world stop. anton likes me?
“but everytime i try to make a move you put me back in the friendzone, saying things like ‘best friends don’t do that..”
with a sincere expression of sadness that makes your heart hurt, anton glances down at his hands.
“i guess you really don’t like me in that way and i was just stupid to to think that-”
refusing to let anton continue, you take hold of his hand and place it directly over your heart.
“do you feel this?” you whisper.
anton nods unsure.
“my heart beats this fast everytime i‘m with you.”
“is that a good or a bad sign?” anton pulls his hand away and looks questionably at you.
his question makes you laugh. “of course it’s a good sign.. it means that you’re the reason why my heart feels so alive.”
“oh,” anton nods, a little smile forming on his face. “so you do like me.”
now it’s you who’s nodding.
just a while ago you didn’t want anton to know how you really feel about him because you were so afraid that the feeling was one-sided, but now that you know it’s mutual, you’re ready to take the initiative.
you slip closer to anton and sit down on his lap. first he’s surprised at your sudden move, but then you feel his arms around your waist, holding you close to him.
seconds later, your lips meet his. not only was your heart racing faster than before, but because your bodies were so close, you could literally feel anton‘s heart racing as well.
you weren't expecting it, but as anton plastered kisses all over your face and neck, things heated up quickly. you didn't want him to stop, but knowing that your parents could walk into your room at any point made you want to go slowly.
“maybe we should continue this when we are alone, like completely,” you whisper as anton was kissing your neck.
“hmmm,” kiss. “maybe..” kiss. “you‘re..” kiss. “right.”
he stops, looking at you with the biggest smile on his face.
“this big smile looks good on you,” you put your arms around antons neck.
“and you know why i’m smiling like this? it’s because of you,” anton softly whispers before he plants another kiss on your lips.

this is me contributing to spamming your ask box
eddie + hanging wedgies. i just KNOW he pulls your legs he told me himself. i can see him leaning back with, say, his guitar or a book and just watching you.
thank you for sending this in. this is so real. hanging wedgies are just air jail for nerds and brats tbh. i wrote this while in a bra connection wedgie lol.
nsfw under the cut, warnings for humiliation, degradation, wedgies, and brat taming.
eddie loves hanging you up in his bedroom on some coat hooks he has attached to his wall. if you've been annoying him that day, like maybe you keep trying to distract him when he's finally deciding to get homework done. he's fed up with your behavior and reaches into the back of your shorts and grabs the waistband, pulling it until the leg holes of your purple striped granny panties are visible. he lets go of the waistband and grabs the leg holes, using them to drag you over to the hooks. "since you can't behave you're gonna hang up here till i get done with this assignment. you better be coming up with an apology while you're hanging by these dorky fucking panties, got it, nerd?"
"got it..." you mumble.
eddie proceeds to pick you up by your leg holes, hooking you onto the coat hooks. he wraps his arm around your waist once your leg holes are secured and slowly lets go of you, allowing you to adjust to the feeling. the fabric of your panties is practically sucked between your cheeks as gravity sets in. it doesn't take long for it to slowly creep between your lips as well, creating an extremely painful yet pleasurable feeling. you fold onto the fabric of your leg holes as you hang as a way to keep yourself upright. you watch eddie with anger in your eyes as he sits on his bed working on his assignment.
"can you hurry up already?!" you groan in frustration.
eddie looks up at you with an eyebrow cocked in anger, "be a good girl or i'll leave you up there for an hour. maybe i'll make you watch me get off. you'd hate that, wouldn't you? your little cunt stuffed with the fabric of your dorky little panties, unable to get off, while i'm stroking my cock in front of you. little losers like you don't get to cum until they behave, and they don't get to come down until i'm done with my work either."
you huff back in anger and he's quick to get to his feet. he grabs your ankle and tugs, causing you to yelp and sink deeper into your wedgie. you clutch your crotch in pain. "behave."

Pursuit of Knowledge - Chapter 1
Finally, the first chapter! Criticism is absolutely welcome here, and I hope you enjoy!
This has a gender neutral reader, and is just the regular sentience au; no cult/creator/imposter stuff. Only main difference, [Y/N] is a lore fanatic.
Word count: ~3.3k
So there you were, sitting in your bedroom waiting for Genshin Impact to download. You had heard that it was a huge game, but for some reason your screen only said that there were only around 10 gigabytes of data. ‘I guess 10 gigabytes is pretty big for a mobile game,’ you thought, as the progress bar slowly made its way to 100%.
The stone doors opened, your screen went white, and the opening cutscene you’ve seen a million times before in all those video essays began to play.
Outlanders, your journey ends here.
You’d thought about which sibling you would pick before. You loved seeing Lumine as the villain, and so without hesitation, picked the boy, named Aether.
You’d seen some gameplay before, and you already thought the graphics were good, but this… This was astounding. It was better than what you’d seen before online. Your character didn’t look exactly realistic so to speak, but everything looked extremely high quality. How was this game free? You guessed the difference between this and what you remember was because you were playing on PS5, and began to move on through the story.
After getting the power of Anemo and seeing the Anemo God himself, you met Amber. You spammed through the dialogue, just wanting to get to Mondstadt.
“Ah! A hilichurl!”
“Quick, get it!”
She said “Get it!” like that hilichurl was no more than a bug in someone’s house, about to be killed for no reason other than being there. That… worried you, considering what hilichurls once were. You knew you had to kill this camp of hilichurls to progress the story, but you told yourself that starting now, you wouldn’t be killing any hilichurls unless you were forced to by the plot or you really needed resources.
After a mildly annoying amount of walking, you entered the city and ran to the Cathedral plaza to get your Wind Glider. Amber gave it to you, and you glided across the city, which seemed different, somehow, although you couldn’t tell what was wrong. You were then promptly thrown into the sky, shooting wind projectiles at a dragon.
“I’m preventing your fall with the power of a thousand winds!”
“HOLY CRAP! It’s God!”
“Concentrate on this! See yourself grasping the wind. Harness its energy.”
You listened to Venti instruct you on this gamemode you didn’t think you’d ever use again, making ‘pew pew pew!’ sounds as Dvalin’s HP bar slowly decreased.
It was the moment you’ve been waiting for. The Traveler lands, and the camera cuts to that blue-haired eyepatch man, one of your favorite characters, Kaeya. You waited until he finished his dramatic introduction, and yelled “WOOOOOOOO!!!!” at the top of your lungs. You thought about playing an audience cheering sound effect, but realized it’s too late now and you don’t even have your soundboard open. You should get that ready in a minute. You’ve already heard this before, so you skip through the dialogue. Well, at least Amber’s lines. You let Kaeya finish everything he has to say.
‘From afar? Is that all we know of them?’
“Surprisingly, yes.” You said, thinking about how you know so much about everyone in Teyvat yet know close to nothing about the main character. You knew they were older than 500, and they had a sibling, but just who were they? You focused back on the game, sighing after hearing Kaeya say he understands being separated from family, feeling your heart growing heavy as you remember his backstory. “You need someone to talk to, man, I’m all ears.” If there was one thing you really knew about his personality, it was that he needed a therapist.
You entered the HQ and listened to the group devise a plan. You still didn’t know why you were only taking care of 3 temples, but you would eventually figure that out, right? Right? You pulled on Noelle’s banner 10 times, only getting her, a sword called… Flute? and some 3 star weapons that you figured wouldn’t help you for long. You equipped The Flute on the Traveler, tested it out a bit, and set off to the three temples.
 By the time you were done with Amber’s, you decided that you were absolutely not going to follow any instructions the system gave you. No one can tell you what you can do!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Kaeya was… perplexed, to say the least, when he prepared to walk up to Amber and a traveler she was with. For a split second, he could have sworn he saw everything turn gray, and strange, colorful, circles appeared around everyone’s joints. Already, he wondered if he was hallucinating, but then he heard the sound of someone cheering that felt as if it was coming from the traveler, but he didn’t open his mouth. Amber didn’t seem to react to it, either. That meant either neither of them noticed it, or he was seeing and hearing things. Assuming it was the latter, he continued on, making a mental note to keep watch of it.
“Hold on Amber, are you perhaps forgetting to introduce us?”
“Oh… right. This i- Thes-”
‘From afar? Is that all we know of them?’
“Surprisingly, yes.”
That voice! Again, but this time, it directly replied to his thoughts. Was it not a hallucination? Just what in Teyvat was this? He had a strong feeling that it was connected to the Traveler, but how could it see what he was thinking  just then? He needed to investigate this, that’s for sure.
“Long st-”
“I see. Welcome to Mondstadt - though you haven’t arrived at the best of times, I’m afraid.”
The Traveler had been separated from his sister, and came to Mondstadt looking for help finding her. He knew how he felt. When Diluc left Mondstadt for all those years, he spent every day worried, wondering if he would ever return.
“I understand the anguish of being separated from family. I’m not sure why you’re looking for the Anemo God… but everyone has their secrets, right?”
“You need someone to talk to, man, I’m all ears.”
The voice was… comforting him now? Interesting.
Who was this traveler? He certainly wasn’t your average tourist. He’d taken him, his… companion, and Amber to the Knights of Favonius headquarters to see Master Jean, and while that conversation went somewhat normal, the atmosphere quickly became… unnerving as soon as it ended. The others stood still in the room, not saying a word. After a few moments, the Traveler left the room, and Kaeya could swear he saw him swinging a weapon in the main hall, but if he was, why didn’t any of the other Knights stop him?
Waiting at the Temple of the Wolf, he thought about his experience earlier. He realized that Amber never finished a sentence, but somehow he understood everything she said. Amber never told him the Traveler’s story, yet he knew it. Did that have to do with that voice? That strange presence? It didn’t seem like it was intending anything bad by the way it spoke to him, but this whole situation was just so… strange.
Kaeya walked around a bit and cleared the area of any potential threats, and after what felt like an hour, the Traveler finally arrived at the temple. He honestly was expecting him to take longer, considering he likely helped Amber first, but it was a surprise to not have to wait quite as long as he thought. How long did it take him to get there? He was a long way from the city of Mondstadt, yet he couldn’t even remember the journey to get here now. Could everything strange he’d experienced be caused by that presence? Hallucinations, memory issues; just what was going on?
“You’ve arrived,” he said, slightly hoping that voice didn’t respond and that it really was all in his head. “Come closer. Do you smell that?”
Unfortunately, it was not, in fact, all in his head.
“How in the world do you burn a Pyro Slime?”
‘It’s the smell of burnt Pyro Slimes.”
How did it know what the Traveler was going to say before he said it? Could it be… influencing him in some way? He continued on, wanting to get these temples taken care of so he could have time to investigate this, whatever this is. He watched as the Traveler walked up to the doors of the domain, and… teleported through them? ‘This day just keeps getting weirder…’ he thought, before entering the domain himself.
“Let me show you how the Knights of Favonius conquer our adversaries,” he said. Although he was about to fight, his body relaxed, and a chill went down his spine. He tried to snap himself out of it, but he found he couldn’t move. The hell…? After a couple of seconds, his body sprinted forward, as that voice said “Alright, here we go,” with a sigh. It was behind this, too? What was this? His heart pounded. He was powerless. It could do whatever it wanted with him, and he wouldn’t be able to do anything about it. No one would know other than those affected… Why did he not mention this to anyone before? He tried to fight against it, but he still couldn’t move a muscle.
 It felt as if he wasn’t fully in his body, as if he was only watching as his body was being puppeteered by some unknown entity. What did it want with him? The Traveler really was being influenced by them, wasn’t he? Was he too, being possessed by it? It seemed the entity could only use one body at a time, but while it was using one, the other completely disappeared.
Forget waiting until this Stormterror crisis was over, he needed to do something as soon as possible, before anyone else was affected by it! It couldn’t keep its hold over him for too long, right? He needed to get back to Mondstadt as soon as possible, to at least tell someone before it takes control of him again. He didn’t want to leave the Traveler like this, but he would have to if he was to do anything about it.
He calmed down a bit, as it didn’t instantly try to harm him, but he started to get concerned for his safety again when the entity made him jump over a pit of spikes in water. The water could very easily be frozen and walked on, avoiding the spikes entirely, and yet it made him jump over the pit. Nothing bad happened, though. Was it that confident in its, and to an extent, his, abilities? Or was it planning something more… violent? After the crystal was destroyed at the end of the temple, he felt like he was back in his body again, the entity no longer having control over him. Still, he didn’t want it to know he was trying to get away, so he started to speak as if nothing out of the expected happened. But why was it laughing?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You knew of a little trick you could do in this next cutscene, the one where Diluc comes out of nowhere and obliterates an Abyss Mage. You chuckle to yourself as you pull up a video.
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind OST - Giorno's Theme『il vento d'oro』
03:45 ━━━━━━━⬤──── 05:27
As the Abyss Mage comes out from the shadows, you hit Play on the video and watch as Diluc charges in, the song syncing to his movements. You could swear you saw a confused look on his face, but you assumed you were either seeing things, or that you just misremembered the cutscene. You didn’t remember every single detail, after all.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
…Of course that didn’t work. As soon as he left the temple, he fell into the entity’s control once again. It didn’t help that he never saw Diluc leave the temple. If he did, he might have a chance at getting him to notice something’s wrong. It also appeared that he and the Traveler were not the only people it had decided to use as its puppets. At various times, he would be thrown out of his body completely and watch as it uses another. He noticed not only the Traveler, but Amber, Noelle, and for a short while, Lisa.
It encountered a Ruin Guard at the Thousand Winds Temple. It used Amber to destroy the automaton’s core, stunning it, before using him to counter the Pyro element on it. It got back up again, but it wasn’t up for long before it was defeated, falling to the grou-
*lego breaking noise*
*metal pipe falling*
“*snickering* God, I love having a soundboard…”
What were those noises? Those didn’t come from the Ruin Guard, did they? Were they made by that “soundboard” thing?
After that, there were an abundance of strange noises, almost always accompanied by the entity laughing.
 He also realized that it wasn’t killing any monsters; in fact, it even knew some Hilichurlian. Whatever this entity was, it didn’t appear to be intending to harm anything. It wasn’t killing any monsters, and it was giving him equipment that felt like it made him stronger. Did it even know it was controlling him like this? If not, would it continue if it knew?
Regardless of if they knew or not, they continued on, at one point using him to cross the ocean to an island he had never seen mapped before. It took a fair bit of time, considering how far out it was. After a few minutes, what sounded to be a recording of someone’s voice began to play, likely by this entity to prevent boredom.
At the beginning, it brought up what he believed was happening to him now, and went on to say how it might work. How gaining a “character” means the Traveler can now connect to the essence of the person, harnessing their abilities, and how getting more “constellations” gives a deeper connection. He had heard of people having their own constellation, but he couldn’t make any sense of it in this context. While he was very concerned on how people knew any of this, it only further confirmed his theory that whoever this was using his body had not a clue on what they were really doing.
The recording ended up discussing very intriguing things. He was confused on why they were referring to people as “characters” at the beginning, but the whole time, they were referring to Teyvat and its past, present, and future as if it was nothing but a fictional story, constantly mentioning the “plot”, “chapters”, “roles”, and such. Is that what this was to them? The recording mainly focused on the “fate” of Teyvat, and how it could possibly be changed. It had been a topic he had been endlessly thinking about, and this left him with… mixed feelings. On one hand, the Traveler may be the key to changing fate, and it gave him hope that things might actually end well for him. But on the other hand, would he really have to rely on someone else to decide his fate?
They found many chests on the island, and discovered someone’s notebook, which said that something strange happens here in the very early morning hours. The entity seemed confused for a bit, appearing to be looking for something, before sounding disappointed. They did another lap around the island, making sure they collected everything, and then teleported back to near Windrise, still seeming a bit confused.
They went north to the Stormbearer Mountains, and headed towards a watchtower, likely to get a better view of their surroundings. They weren’t about to get up there without a fight, though. Crossbow-armed hilichurls surrounded the place. Instead of taking them out then and there, they tried to just walk by, finding a good time to climb. He could tell they weren’t prepared for this, that they were overwhelmed. They shrieked as a Pyro hilichurl shot at him, trying to run away from the projectile.
This should be common sense, but one thing he knew about combat; when you dodge, don’t go running directly into the attack.
A flaming arrow hit him right in the jugular, and he was met with a world of searing pain. He didn’t know if it was this entity making him do it, but he let out a scream as it hit. The arrow had disappeared. He stood there, now choking, though his body did not react.  Would this be how he died? By an arrow shot from a hilichurl he could easily take care of if he could just-
Time seemed to stop for a moment. Suddenly, everything was fine.
No pain, no wound, and he had the taste of chicken in his mouth.
They healed him from what was very easily a fatal wound just like that? That was why they were being so reckless, wasn’t it?
It had seemed like whatever was in control of him had no clue what they were doing, but how? How could they not know? Surely they must notice that something’s off, right?
At one point, they tried to climb up the Knights of Favonius building with Amber and fell, which caused her to disintegrate. He panicked, but soon after, she appeared again as if absolutely nothing had happened. Apparently, they had the power to revive people they were using, as well as heal fatal wounds. Sure, that was great that neither he nor anyone else this was happening to would have to fear dying, but that meant that if they wanted to, they could kill and revive someone under their control over and over again. It was a good thing they seemed to have no intentions of doing such a thing…
They were exploring for hours, during which time Kaeya’s thoughts mostly consisted of reactions to things they were saying or doing, with a little existential dread creeping in every now and then, wondering if he was ever going to gain back control. The sun went down, and soon after that, they said “Alright Teyvat, I’ll be back to conquer you tomorrow! I’m gonna go pass out!” That was a bit… direct, and he wasn’t entirely sure if they were joking by the “conquer” bit due to the events of the last couple of hours, but regardless, it was over. He nearly fell over after they left, not expecting to suddenly gain back control of his body again. Now, the question is, how does he go about solving this? Before he thought about that, he decided he needed a drink since he had some time to spare, and so he headed to Angel’s Share.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
After finishing Lisa’s temple, you were free to explore Teyvat. You spent some time exploring Mondstadt, collecting Anemoculi, before going back to where you started. You knew of that unmapped island, and now that you had the power to ice bridge, you were going to go there. You knew it would take a while, so you put on another video essay explaining a Genshin theory to listen to, and began the journey.
Unfortunately, you couldn’t do everything. You were able to get a bunch of chests, but the quest there needed the time of day to be between 2 and 5 AM to progress. You remembered there being a time skip button, but you looked everywhere and just couldn’t find it. So, you had to go back to the mainland, defeated. Come to think of it, how long was the day/night cycle? It’s been over an hour and the sun’s barely moved. Was the in game time synced to real time? If so, why the hell would they make a quest that can only progress in the middle of the night? You figured that you’re just missing something, and started thinking about something else before you got too stressed out.
You played for a couple of hours, getting used to the combat system. It was fun, but you felt like the enemies did a bit too much damage. Seriously, one arrow from a low-level hilichurl shouldn’t almost one-shot your character! You felt pretty tired, and not wanting to struggle to keep your eyes open, you decided to log out, and continue your Magical Adventure™ tomorrow.
------------------------------------------------------------
And pass out you did, falling asleep as soon as your head hit your pillow. You ended up sleeping for a while, so by the time you got up, it was already pretty late in the morning. You had some errands to run, so you showered, got ready, and took care of them.
You had nothing else to do today, so you decided to open Genshin again and continue your adventure. The world loads in, and there you are, with your team of Aether, Amber, Noelle and- hold on where’s Kaeya? Maybe you removed him for some reason. You were pretty tired. You go to the party select screen, and select hi-
*This character is busy.*
What the hell does that mean?

Do you have any tips or advice for how to find friends or a community in DC fandom when your blorbos are less well-known characters? I’d love to start writing and interacting, but everyone else seems to already have their friend groups with lots of private in-jokes, and any discords I can find seem exclusively Batfam-focused. I’d love to start participating, but I’m never the person who anyone in fandom reaches out to or wants to have around, and I’m worried DC fandom is just going end up being lonely and miserable for me. So far I’ve tried posting a couple of writing snippets, but no one cared, which I don’t think bodes all that well. But is there anything I can do to make sure it goes better and that I actually find people to connect with?
This is kind of an unpopular opinion, but if you ask me, writing is perhaps THE LEAST successful way to get people to talk to you. Writers aren't usually popular to begin with, unless you hit the fandom jackpot and become a BNF (big name fan) via having a super super popular fic. It's simply not something that happens often.
Leaving that aside, don't be discouraged. Tumblr in general is extremely Bat - centric to the point that unrelated DC character tags are regularly spammed with annoying Batman content; I know this is disappointing and disheartening, but it's not all there is to DC comics fandom.
When I started making the transition and slowly getting more into DC, my go to step was to... openly and honestly interact with the people that seemed to be equally as open, and friendly. I would leave lots of comments on ao3, follow them on tumblr, send asks off anon, interact in the notes, tag people in tag games. Everything that I could use to make friends, I used.
We all start as newbies and "breaking in" when you notice all these groups and cliques is hard. It is really hard. It took me a long time to form the friend group I have now (my polycule 💚) and that I wouldn't give up for anything.
My best advice is that, you gotta make yourself known to others by engaging with others. Starting things out by asking people to engage with you first is only going to make things feel harder and lonelier.
There ARE smaller groups of fans that are adamant about NOT being Bat exclusive. You gotta find your niche and go at it with love and respect, of course.
(There is the issue that DC comics fandom as a whole has a bit of a problem with puritanical/anti shipping fans, and these fans are more vocal in these smaller groups. Be on the lookout for that if that's not something you like.)

(For Bloodborne)
10, 16, and 18?? 💀
I answered 10 here ! As for the rest it is quite long so putting it under there. Hope you ready 😅
16. you can't understand why so many people like this thing (characterization, trope, headcanon, etc)
Hm... wait I need to remember all the things I don't appreciate... and try not to make ennemies 😓 (it's really not my goal it's just personal preference mostly. Seriously depending how things are explained and presented there's lot a thing I can actually enjoy! While I would dislike when it's just throw and spam without context.)
Hm well you know as for characterisations when it's reduced to like 2 traits or extreme good / extreme bad it's hm... yeah. I mean I know I ain't a good exemple but I barely share dark headcanons 😓 but they do exist hehe.
Of course absolutely don't mind and love silly shenanigans (when you're hanging with your friends and having fun it's not always very serious) and also more dark and matures ideas. When people share it doesn't mean it's all they think to the characters! Gotta take the all picture!
But it does bother me when people believe in almost caricatural interprets like it's canon and talk down on others with different views. Somehow like they are the worst thing...like wtf.
Also well typical extreme talk about Gehrman, Maria and mostly Laurence I suppose (maybe a bit Lulu aka the holy blade but it bother me a bit less because people are generally not spamming to or being annoying as much as the others. Oh Micolash too). When people reduced them to just 2 things or an extreme. I feel it really doesn't fit with the infos within the game. I'm not a fan at all. They are all morally grey and humans. They are not clearly all black or all white. they are morally gray, they are humans!
In more details now. Well for Gehrman you know my stance already. Clearly yeah he had some issues in his life and did bad things but clearly I don't think he was a misogynistic asshole and all the stuff. Like it just don't make sense to me. I don't even wanna vent about it today XD
As for Maria well. Look I don't have a problem with the headcanon of her being a butch lesbian. I mean it's even one of my AU actually. (to put it really really simply. Bc I like having several interprets disconnect to each other in their own settings). It can be very interesting in an overall big story I think. The problem I have is when it's apparently her only unique traits and if you think or headcanon otherwise for any reasons you are apparently the worst shit to exist and getting block. Being labelled as sexist, homophobic etc. Well idk but that kind of reaction kinda tell me who the real -phobic one is 😕 really that is sad like wow who hurt you people?! to have this much anger to people just trying to have fun. Thankfully it's clearly just a minority of people who are agressive like this. And I hope they will grow, gain maturity and realise there's really no need to be that mean about such a thing. But it's been a while saw smt like this so I prefer to put this behind me there's hope.
As for Laurence I'm not really a fan of him being the ultimate bitch devil (or angel but nobody has that take almost. That would be a change. the tragic vicar who only had good intention but accidentally fucked up and try his best until the end😔 I mean I don't agree with that either but that's a change). I mean by this, that I think he did both. Good and bad things. That he had honorable intentions at first but overcome by a bit of ego and pride he fucked up really bad. And then realised his mistake but it was too late to correct it... his theme inspire great strength but who end in tragedy and pity. So overall tragic these too. Him being depicted as just a smug unlikable bitch is something I have a hard time with. I mean yes I like to imagine him being a smug bitch too at times for sure! it's fun but not like all the time and making it his entire personality. If that make sense. I don't see how he could be an important religious figure, doctor and having so much support by just being a manipulative ass all the time. Especially if he start from ground 0.
And hm... i have nothing again it and people so that we're clear but hm EXCEPT in certains very specific context* I am not personally a fan of Laurence being drawn with horns on his head. It just isn't my cup of tea. I'm not sure to understand what's the interest don't make sense to have Laurence looking normally human + just horns but it's just me.
*EXCEPT WHEN : symbolism and symbolic art (no prob I like those actually. Horns + when he's burning in human form for exemple onlooking like religious symbolism) ; "decoration" like lil detached horns, like you would put flowers or sparkles or little emoji next to a portrait of a characters ; before he transformed but with other signs of beasthood (actually him human with horns can be nice but I prefer when it's like mini horns not full cleric beast ones + idk a giant arm with claws and fur growing, eyes looking weird, teeth growing, his hair being longer and messy etc).
Now last I will stop after...
I think a whole fic or interprets on a really dark and realistic Bloodborne universe like our world can be super interesting! But I don't enjoy when people seem to think Bloodborne is 100% our 19th century with just a couple of eldritch things in it? Ok it's closer to us compared to medieval fantasy like DS or elden ring. But I feel it's fantasy too. if we had a map I won't be surprise if that's not Europe or a map that existed in real life. Lot of things don't fit to be actual victorian era. It's just inspire by it : invention and technology aren't on the same lvl. Either they are missing important inventions or are too advanced. (Molotovs appeared during spain war and were named like this during WWII) people don't seem to have 10 children working in factories or mines as well. Women are doctors, academic, hunters etc No steam machine or electric bulb but who knows. I could make an entire things... Looking at all the real life inspirations for the game is great! Create a very realistic story is very cool! But I would personally be more on the side that's it's more of a victorian fantasy. Like Sekiro can't be in our world or how Dark souls is a medieval fantasy as well and isn't medieval age accurate.
Oh boi i forgot about victorian london. Jokes are fine but bloodborne is more inspired on Prague and eastern europe i feel. You and Katy developed it more anyway
18. it's absolutely criminal that the fandom has been sleeping on...
Ok I don't know how to answer this so have a list (of ideas in my head I need to share /write one day lmao) :
Maria backstory (no seriously I want stories on her childhood, her family, what happened, how she felt toward them. Conflicted? Good terms but separate ways? Actually work for them for a while? Disowned? I wanna know! If she's actually close to Annalise ? More important in royal family that we know? Or really a random noble related to them?) Is her pyromancer real?! why she dislike blood blades?
How she got her Rakuyo
How she met Gehrman? her training? WHAT HAPPEN I NEED TO KNOW uxkcblkDOLFMBOEAMl: (sorry XD) work for Laurence & co too
Important lore Charcacters backstory before this whole mess (Laurence, Gehrman, Ludwig, Willem etc yeah basically everyone lol I won't do the entire list XD but how did they meet each other what bound them what happen.)
Stories how the healing church + blood transfusion actually came to be?
Byrgenwerth era (yeah sorry I love it XD)
So yeah overall timeline before the hunter arrive (help)
Cainhurst, Annalise, vilebloods, potential KING of Cainhurst
So yeah Logarius too
Loran, Isz and pthumerians lore??
Dores and Gatekeeper my beloved
Caryll (yeah just Caryll)
Izzy and bestial hunters. How the bestial rune was forbidden, why Laurence had it etc
Ok is everyone except 5 persons gonna ignore the fact freaking Gehrman can make more than just weapons?! well wood stuff are oblivious but how did bro can make such refined clothes hello?!?!
Religion practise how it works in Yharnam, how citizens and clerics actually practise it.
What's their history, their legend, how the geopolitic within the country is and others XD (it's more a critic about the game in itself than fandom really) In truth I'm a bit sad we know lot of countries and regions within Dark Souls but almost none with Bloodborne! Like many people are from foreign countries and we have 0 names compared to the dozens in DS. we just have like vaguely Yamamura asiatic country, Eileen's one, Valtr's city, Loran and Isz. As for Gascoigne Gilbert Brador and all the others we don't know anything. In Dark Souls we have names and we know where people came from : Catarina, Astora, Forossa, Mirrah, Carim, Vinheim, Lordran etc)
Event being seen by random citizens or young characters growing up could be interesting!
I mean many characters again
I might stop here or it will never be over sorry... I'm not even sure it's really slept one but I wish we have more. There's just so many possibilities and things that can be created!

Chapter 4 - A Lot’s Gonna Change
prev - chapter 1
The two didn't expect leaving for lunch without their phones to be too big of an issue, but the near hundreds of missed calls seemed to say otherwise.
It was a miracle Hosah's shitty flip phone hadn't imploded by this point, as Jeanne had been endlessly spamming both his and Teddy's mobiles. This was never good. Jeanne was not the type to be the one to call anyone, meaning something had to be extremely urgent.
The ringing of the phone as the two now waited for Jeanne to pick up was painful to say the least. Waiting for an answer to just what their superior needed them for killed, Hosah's stomach churning as he anxiously stayed put in the assistant's pocket, knowing they'd probably have to leave again as soon as they'd gotten details on just what was going on.
"Thank god, I thought I'd never get ahold of you. I need you both over here, as quick as you can. I'll text you the address." The voice on the other side of the call was hard to make out, but even through the static, the panic in Jeanne's voice could be heard loud and clear. This was extremely out of character for him.
Teddy opened his mouth to inquire further, but the other line had already been put down and hung up before he'd gotten the chance to.
Jeanne must've had a lot of money to pay for so much phone credit. The address texted to them was one neither of the two recognised. It didn't seem to be a specific location or house, just a street name and a few directions following. Now they'd just have to catch a cab in the middle of the busy city. It'd be a hell of a lot easier if Jeanne hadn't worded his texts as if it was some sort of treasure hunt, Teddy wasn't sure what 'far down to the left' would even mean depending on where abouts the taxi dropped them off.
Eh, surely the police tape would make it easier to spot.
Neither of them had any idea what would be waiting for them when they arrived, but they didn't want to take any wild guesses that'd get their hopes up. It must've been something massive, and given the tone of their superiors voice, it was most definitely something tragic. Without failing to check whether Hosah was ready or not, the assistant began the mad dash to the scene of the crime.
Unfortunately, Hosah was it's certainly not ready. He'd never been in a car accident before, but he could assume this is pretty much how one would get whiplash. As the running slowed and Teddy got out into the streets, it was deemed safe to hang back out of the pocket to get some fresh air, and to hopefully avoid having to sit in his own throw up.
Chasing down a cab was tough enough, but dealing with an overly nosey and annoying driver was the hardest part. After multiple failed attempts at waving a taxi toward the detectives, Teddy was not going to let the one person that had stopped for him go without the two of them in that bright yellow car.
Like his life depended on it, the assistant jumped into the backseat, not even waiting to collect his breath. "Sir.. I need to get to.. Uh-"
The driver cut him off right as he was about to get to the most important part of the journey.
"Hey, hey, slow it down sancho. Where we going?" The man turned around, hand outstretched for the rookie detective to shake it.
The fuck? Teddy stared, dumbfounded for a moment. Deciding getting offended wasn't worth his one hope at getting to the scene quickly, he begrudgingly returned the handshake and repeated the address.
"Ehh, that's no house, not even a building. Fuck you going there for, ah?" At this point, he'd actually started driving, thank god.
Hesitant to answer truthfully, the backseat passenger decided to give a brief synopsis of all he knew, which in reality was nothing but the address.
"Work emergency."
The cabbie kept turning his head back, despite the road safety violations he was sure to be racking up in the process. He looked to be about middle aged, white european, probably Spanish given the rude nickname he'd assigned to Teddy. His thick moustache similar to a 70's indie rock star, with a denim baseball cap barely covering his already balding head of hair. Essentially, a look that resembled that of your average truck driver.
"Psh, what job do you do? Field inspector? Count one less grasshopper than yesterday? Aye, back in my day, we all did real jobs. I worked since I was ten years old yeah? Now look, society and all that. That computer, just destroyed all we knew." The man's rant was nonsensical and incomprehensible at best.
Teddy was already exhausted, "I'm a detective. There's been a murder there. I only just got the call, everyone else is already there."
That seemed to do the trick, as the man muttered a quiet 'Thank you for your service' before actually focusing on the road.
This guy must be allergic to silence or something.
"... So, murders huh? How'd you sleep at night?"
"Well, I didn't do them. I know I'm bringing them justice, that helps me sleep soundly." Hosah was kind of taken aback as he stayed silent in the pocket, he'd never heard Teddy speak to bluntly before. In all honesty , he didn't think the rookie had it in him.
The man just laughed, so hard as if it was the funniest thing he'd ever heard. "Ahhh I like you, I like you. Funny guy huh? You tell jokes? You're joke guy?" in all honesty, what he'd said really wasn't that funny at all, but as long as he got to his destination, Teddy couldn't really care less how his small talk went down.
Soon enough, the obnoxiously vibrant vehicle had long exited the blocks upon blocks of buildings, now cruising around the scarce outskirts of the city whilst Teddy kept his eyes peeled for any signs of his team. Thankfully, 'Best of Blur' CD blaring out from the radio seemed to keep taxi driver quiet for the time being.
Despite the next day being the first of September, it was unnecessarily hot out, so much so that Hosah desperately needed to poke his head out if he wanted to either keep his guts inside of him or stay conscious. He'd never been particularly good with warm weather, given it was snowing three quarters of the year back in his home town, and having a weak stomach on top of that was just a downright evil mix. If there truly was a God, it wanted nothing but to mess with Hosah just the littlest bit.
He'd never seen this part of the city, if you could even consider it that. Scarce buildings, lots of fields, something unheard of around these parts; and a particularly good part of town to hide a body or two. Even the goriest of scenes Jeanne didn't bat an eye at, which is what unsettled Hosah so much about earlier. This had to be mass devastation of some kind to shake his boss so badly.
The breeze blowing through the crack of the passenger window blew Hosah's hair back from his face, and he finally understood why dogs liked it so much. Although he was worried, the tiny man couldn't help but enjoy the sights out of the window and his short break from stuffy confinement within the pocket.
As a familiar hand crept upwards against his lower half, Hosah realised his freedom was short lived. Looking up at the giant, he pretending to just be fidgeting with his face- as Hosah did himself almost constantly, with a conveniently placed finger up toward his mouth as he made eye contact with the pocketed detective. Hosah's eyebrows furrowed, now he just wanted to yell out and bring the drivers attention to himself out of spite. He was sure Teddy was just looking out for his safety and whatnot, but it didnt piss him off any less.
Approaching a red light, Hosah took this as his opportunity to snoop out of the windows. Luckily for them, when he squinted into the distance, he could just make out a few out-of-place cars parked in a neat row by the side of the road. If this wasn't it, they were stranded and would have to survive off of dead grass for the rest of eternity. At this point, Hosah was elevated enough that his entire upper half poked out of the pocket, enough so that he must've caught the taxi driver's attention through the rear-view mirror.
"Hey- Hey!! You can't sneak another passenger in my car man, I don't care tiny or what, you pay the same fees." The guy got so worked up he didn't even realise the light turning green. Although Teddy was sure taxis were supposed to charge off of distance travelled and not passengers taken, he didn't want to get into a petty argument in front of his boss, whom he so desperately wanted to like him.
"Right, right, sorry, he's ah.. He's sick, passed out, didn't think to-"
"Whatever, I don't discriminate. I'll take anyone, as long as they're paying." Sure. Now Hosah really was feeling sick, being spoken about like he wasn't there right infront of his face was always an easy way to annoy him.
It was a good thing there was no one else around them taking this route, as they'd been sat at a green light for a minute at least before the taxi started going again. Approaching the aforementioned parked cars, familiar Honda Accord came into clear view, Jeanne's car!
"Think we've found your buddies," The driver slowed, passing by the taped area to get a good look at the scene of the crime. He turned and handed Teddy his business card "You call this number and you ask for Felix next time you need a ride, yeah? Twenty dollars, I give you discount 'cause I like you two."
Without arguing, Teddy took the card and gave him what he asked, insisting he should keep the change, mainly because he'd definitely be seeing Felix again in the near future if he couldn't find a car in the next twenty four hours. The two rushed to go and find Jeanne as Teddy uttered a few quick Thank you's on their way out.
It certainly looked like nothing from the outside. Just a whole bunch of police and detectives in an empty field. Hosah almost doubted the urgency of it all, until a familiar face appeared in-front of them.
"Fifteen bodies. Can you believe that? Fifteen? All in one plot, lined up shoulder to shoulder." Jeanne's voice shook as he described what all the officers were stood looking at.
The plot of land they'd all huddled around was way too small to fit even half of a regular sized body, they'd had to all been shifters.
Jeanne continued, seemingly unsure of what he was about to say, "The officers were just cruising around after someone had called talking about a suspicious guy walking around with a miniature shovel. Like, the flower planting kind, anyway, they caught him digging something up, and when they came out to ask him what was up, he ran." He could barely string along what he wanted to say, Hosah didn't think he'd ever seen him so stressed, or even showing so much emotion at all.
"There weren't any shifter paramedics available as soon as possible, the last of the bodies must've been killed.. I don't know, barely a few minutes before they'd spotted him. If you'd have been here when we got here, might've had a shot.. Nevermind. I- Yeah. Just, don't stress yourself out about it."
Oh. That guilty feeling rushed straight to Hosah's head, he couldn't tell if he could see, or hear, or even breathe. If he'd have been here. If none of the past week had ever happened, there could've been one less body. Hosah knew getting hung up on 'what ifs' was pointless, but it was the fact Jeanne had said it that cemented the thought into his mind. If he could've been here, he could've done something.
It certainly wouldn't have been the first time he'd taken the role of paramedic, and hell, he'd even been successful on the rare off chance, but that's what stung so badly about it all. Even if he gave it his all and failed, at least he had the fact he tried his hardest to cushion his fall. But he wasn't there, he couldn't have tried, and it was all too late now.
So clouded in his own guilt and selfishness, Hosah couldn't hear Teddy's pleas to just say something, anything. Anything that would tell him he was still, at least on a physical level, alive and well. The ringing in his ears was far too loud, and his vision far too blurred, even his heart in his throat prevented him from making a sound.
The tiny man blinked, snapping back into reality,
"Hosah, Hosah, hey-" Teddy's voice was panicked now, although there was no reason to be really, it's not like his boss could've died in the minute or so he spent wallowing in the pocket. "Hosah. You're crying."
"What? No, no I'm," he felt for his face, realising there were in fact tears streaming down his face. "Shit, ah, I am," Hosah had to laugh, or he'd probably start sobbing for real.
"He's wrong, you know. I took a look at the photos, and, looks to me like the fifteenth body bled to death. I- Well, I don't really wanna sit and describe it, but, you know," the assistant blabbered on, trying to find any minor detail that'd bring comfort to the disheveled man in his pocket. That didn't really matter to him, though, he didn't want to hear logic, he just wanted to drown in sorrow for a while.
-~-
The rest of the day was a blur. Hosah was all too caught up in his own head to really know what was going on around him. He sat once again on his assistants desk, pacing from one end of the paper to the other, reading body number #15's report until he could recite it from memory. Young girl, barely an adult, unidentified but matches description of a recently missing person.
He pulled his hair and scratched at his face, but that didn't change her fate. Teddy seemed to be right, upon close inspection to the pictures, there were decently wide piercings through the palms of both her hands. Hosah was no forensic pathologist, but that seemed enough to do the trick if left long enough. It made him sick to look at the pictures, whoever did this must've thought themselves to be some kind of artistically edgy try hard. Kneeled over the stack of files, notes and photographs, the detective scoffed to himself.
This wasn't artistic, this wasn't beautiful in any regard. None of these fifteen people had any interest in dying, they were just accessible and easy enough to use for whatever sick message this individual was trying to put out.
"Still looking over these?" The voice seemed to appear out of nowhere, making Hosah practically jump to his feet. Jeanne always had a way of emerging out of thin air when he'd least expect it.
He cleared his throat in an attempt to brush off his surprise, "Yeah, you know how it is."
The two sat in the quiet of the practically empty office for a few seconds. It had already gotten dark outside, and Teddy had wandered off to get coffee a good while ago by now.
"Mm, I'm sorry I told you , that, earlier. We were all stressed out, my brain went, I wasn't thinking straight. It's not your fault." Jeanne had leant down close to the surface of the cluttered desk.
The shrunken man just shrugged, too exhausted, both mentally and physically, to argue about it. "I get it. It's fine. I know not to get worked up about that kind of stuff." He lied, he really didn't know not to linger on the possibilities, what could've become of everyone he had the chance of saving.
"You might have a little body, but you have a big heart. Big, bleeding heart. You're empathetic, and you can't let this job take that away from you. You know, I wish I could feel like you seem to do." These kinds of sweet words meant a lot coming from someone Hosah had looked up to for so long.
Jeanne had always been the 'cool older cousin he so desperately wanted to be like when he grew up' type of figure. A mentor, someone that stuck up for him and helped him out. Honestly, the pair didn't really know much about each other and their pasts, but they didn't need to. They didn't even need to be anywhere near each other to know all it'd take was a call, and they'd be there.
The, lack of, response from Hosah seemed to make his superior nervous, "I worded that really weirdly, but you get what I'm talking about."
"Thanks. Don't overthink it, I get what you meant in the moment and I get what you're saying now." Well, he understood the sentiment at least. What he didn't really get was how one could feel in the same way as himself, was it not normal to experience every emotion as if it took over your entire body and mind? Weird. Hosah was aware he wasn't the most Average Joe, but he thought he at least had the same inner works that made up every human.
"Well," Jeanne stood to his full height, which wasn't too substantial, but still towered above Hosah's, "Don't be hanging around too late. I'm not sure Edward will appreciate it."
And just as quickly as he came, the illusive detective disappeared into the dimly lit maze of hallways. Although he could've sat and stared at the case file for another minute or so, staring at the empty space where Jeanne stood just a few moments ago seemed more productive. Besides, he worried if he stared back down, he'd fall straight to sleep right then and there.
Familiar footsteps approached, shaking Hosah's attention toward the opposite direction. Teddy was back with coffee and a singular bottle-cap. Eugh. The shifter knew all too well what this meant. Suddenly he felt as though he had been transported into the kinds of romance dramas his mom would watch back home, sweet and shy girl-next-door shrinks and is found by her dashing and mysterious boy crush, and only a true loves kiss can return her to normal. He wasn't actually sure how the two correlated, but it seemed to be a common enough trope to be laughable.
The assistants voice was hushed as he profusely apologised for taking so long, sitting back down in his seat and preparing a portion of the hot drink for Hosah.
"We're even now, you make me coffee, I make you one," Teddy wheeled his chair up closer, taking the first sip for himself.
Hosah couldn't tell if it was the sleep deprivation that made him laugh, or just the overall stupidity in the statement. Either way, he could use the caffeine. He'd already spent far too long trying to forget about the fact he'd let a few tears slip back earlier in the day, falling asleep on the commute home would be the ultimate loss of pride he had for himself, and any respect his assistant held for him.
Looking into the small sea of black coffee before him, the shifter realised just how disheveled he looked. Damn. Mental note taken, see a doctor immediately. Realising the fact he could barely keep his eyes open, Hosah took that as a sign he should probably drink up now too. There was just something about a bottle-cap full of coffee being so difficult to lift that was particularly embarrassing. Worried his shaky arms might slip, potentially ending up with a piping hot liquid burning at his skin, Hosah hurried to finish as quickly as possible. Luckily, partaking in such a mundane activity such as sharing a drink with a coworker didn't result in a disaster.
Focusing on something else in the room was a good idea. The tiny man's eyes nosied around his surroundings before landing on the digital clock to his right. God, almost ten o' clock already.
"We should head back now. It's getting late." Hosah stood to his full height, ready to be chauffeured via pocket all the way home.
By now, he was very much tired of the pocket, and the subway station, and of his entire existence. The process of back and forth every day was getting increasingly boring. There was no fun in being cramped up in a stuffy coat all day.
Fortunately, the fact Hosah was slipping in and out of consciousness the whole way home made the journey much more bearable, although the falling feeling and the jolting awake so often became increasingly annoying after the third or fourth time.
He couldn't really care about dignity right now, just the fact he was able to sleep at all given the repeated mental beatings he'd received just in one day. This kind of job was bad for his health, high stress causes higher chances of being stuck at his shrunken height, or so that's what his doctor theorised. Most shifters had a cause for their shifting. Strong emotions, high stress situations, imbalance in hormones, underlying diseases, but Hosah, after years of bi-weekly checkups, had no excuse.
Hosah's shifting was a total mystery. There wasn't a single thing in the book he hadn't tried to get himself under control. Medication, therapy, monitoring his diet and his heart rate, hell, he'd even been hypnotised once, but his height changed were so sporadic, they couldn't be predicted in the slightest. In fact, the only commonality in it all was that stupid dream.
On the topic of dreaming, the pocket-sized detective was shrugged awake by the rustling of keys against the fabric of which he leaned against. Home at last.
A sudden urge to stay stiff had taken over the tiny body, although he was awake, something inside of him refused to let him move. Even when Teddy gave a little sing-song 'We're home' , the shifter couldn't find it in him to budge.
Despite the fact regular, fully conscious Hosah will hate himself for it in the future, current sleepy Hosah just wanted to be held and carried all the way to bed. This wasn't like him, being touched, no less by Teddy, was not something he particularly enjoyed, but here he was, heavy lidded and drowsily smiling to himself as the gentle fingers wrapped around his waist.
Still in his work clothes and boots, Teddy set down the tiny form down on his sheetless futon. In his best attempt to make a quick and seamless exit , Teddy could barely get out a ‘see you tomorrow’ before being confronted by the scene in front of him;
“Don’t go, please” If the Hosah with half of a mind could hear himself right now, he’d be immensely disappointed in what he’s become.
There was no way in the world Teddy could ever say no to that request.
He’d never felt his heart beat so fast as he awkwardly leant back to lay besides the impossibly small man lounging by the side of himself. Despite the fact he could definitely use the sleep, Teddy didn’t mind spending this time lying awake praying he didn’t accidentally roll over on-top of his co-worker.
Trying not to even make the slightest sound, Teddy twisted his body toward where Hosah lay. There he was, fast asleep surely enough. He wasn’t sure he’d ever seen the man so peaceful, his eyebrow no longer furrowed as his body curled up, knees to his chest and arm folded the bottom of his face.
Teddy had secretly thought it many times before, but the man he’d carried around his pocket the last week was, in fact ,extremely beautiful. The first thing he’d noticed was Hosah’s big brown iris’ that made him look like a deer or something of the sort, then his high cheekbones and sharp jaw, now it was just how pretty he looked in such a serene state.
He was barely able to contain himself, his face from curling up into a smile as he watched the tiny chest rise and fall. That was another thing Teddy had found so beautiful about him, Hosah was just so small, the only thing he could think when he saw him this way was just how much the man looked like a little doll, the big eyes, the soft face despite having such sharp features, the detective just had an air of gracefulness that Teddy had only associated with the rococo style found in paintings.
For a moment, Teddy wondered what his boss would look like if he got an adequate amount of sleep and learnt how to shave properly. It already took a lot of will power to hold back from doing anything that could be humiliating or emasculating for the little guy. Such as, calling him things like that to his face. Teddy was just glad he was asleep so he didn’t have to witness just how badly his assistant was swooning over him. He’d already had to contain himself to an extortionate amount when Hosah had come up with such a cute nickname for him, now this was just too much to handle.
There had to be some kind of way to avoid getting these workplace crushes, but Teddy had already fallen too deep into it by now, and there was no shaking this one off it seemed.

so are you not actually pulling back on posting the arjuna hate posts? i'm just a bit confused bc you said that it was getting excessive and it would be moderated more, and then three more (the bhima ask ALSO was another excuse to shittalk people discussing arjuna rather than actually get into anything about him) asks that were hating his fanbase got posted after that.
there's been nine posts complaining about how much they hate his fans, how much they think hes screwed over karna, etc etc, very likely submitted by the same one/two people with a vendetta who are using this blog as a platform to try and harass others who don't interact with them. is spamming the blog with the exact same opinion over and over acceptable?
i just dont understand at what point it becomes too much, like if someone gets sick of it and begins to regularly submit asks over and over about the same subject (like how annoying karna fans are, and how they complain about nothing, and how karna's very existence screws over their fav) will those get posted and tagged also? even if it has nothing to do with karna but one or two of his fans? where is the line here?
i understand you want to post all kinds of asks here even if theyre controversial opinions, but this is very clearly someone trying to hold a dialogue where no one can actually hold them accountable because they can post all their thoughts through an anonymous confession blog. isnt there a difference between a one off 'i find x fan annoying bc of y' and sending in 9 asks in a month about it?
We re-examined and re-wrote the rules after the constant deluge of asks about Arjuna which have, thankfully, slowed down, and in fact several were deleted from the queue after Mod M and I agreed that they weren't within what we thought the parameters should now be. The asks that have been about Arjuna after that time (few as they've been) have fallen within these new parameters. Spamming the blog with the exact same opinion over and over will, now, likely get you a single post with the rest deleted unless you space them out over a considerable length of time (weeks, if not months).
If you want to complain about Karna or his fans, feel free, so long as it's within guidelines. The fact that we haven't really gotten any hate regarding him or his fans is quite shocking to me. I don't know what it is about Arjuna or his fans that brought forth all these submissions.
I have to say, I do take umbrage with the fact that you seem to assume this is only one or two people spamming the blog. Going under the likely assumption that you're a fan of Arjuna, thinking that only one or two people submitted those asks unfairly puts the onus on people within the fandom you may already be biased against. This is 99% anonymous. Neither you, nor I, know if this is one person submitting these asks, or if those 9 asks could have been sent by 9 different people. If you want to assume this is all one or two people, I can't stop you, but I think it's an extremely biased and unfair assumption to make. It's completely possible that just that many people within the Fate fandom dislike Arjuna and his fans.
I would like to nip this in the bud right now for you, and everybody else. Assuming you know who or how many people are sending the submissions, unless you are directly told by a person, is arrogant. You don't know, and neither do I.
As far as Arjuna hate goes, there is one post in the queue right now mentioning him, and while it is negative, I wouldn't say its negativity is directed toward him. If you want to send hate about Karna, go for it. I am not at all stopping you, just read the rules first.

h/c prompt: Person A is sick and when they don’t answer their comm, Person B shows up at their door with a concerned look and some soup. QuiObi Writing Server challenge: Reclaim the Tag, brought to you by getting annoyed at pornbot spam in the tags [ao3 link]
Qui-Gon had forgotten a few things about caring for young Padawans and Initiates. He’d forgotten, for instance, that the seasonal infections spread like wildfire. Of course, a few years ago, he would simply have brushed it off. He certainly didn’t worry much when Anakin came to visit him a little flushed and snuffly.
After Naboo, though, his immune system had been weakened, like the rest of him. He’d done well to keep himself out of trouble for more than a year, and recovered a great deal of his motion. When the tickle started in the back of Qui-Gon’s throat, he swallowed it down with a cup of tea and hoped it would dissipate.
Still, he booked himself an appointment with Healer Che—just in case. If the last year and a half had taught him anything, it didn’t pay to be reckless with his health.
Vokara agreed. “Be careful of your scarring,” she said. “You should be aware that in some cases my patients have complained of aching ribs. We want your lungs to clear, so I will not prescribe a cough suppressant—unless the situation becomes intolerable. That will be up to you to determine, so be mindful of your limits.”
Now, only a day later, Qui-Gon was extremely mindful of his limits. He was limited to his own bedroom, and mostly to the bed and the fresher besides. He was exhausted, and his ribs did, in fact, ache. The cough had begun in earnest in the late evening hours. Qui-Gon had had the forethought to make a thermos-full of tea for himself and stack a few boxes of tissues on his nightstand. He’d propped himself up as best as possible, and tried to sleep, but the most he’d achieved was a kind of foggy half-drowsing, punctuated by frequent, painful coughs.
The situation had developed precipitously. Qui-Gon had taken it for granted that he would be able to rise in the morning and blearily make himself a simple breakfast. Instead, he was drifting in and out of awareness, stuck somewhere between sleeping and reaching for his comm to call Vokara and admit defeat. The longer he went without food, he knew, the worse he would feel. Already, the faint feeling of nausea was creeping up on him, an unwelcome pressure in his chest and at the back of his throat.
But the comm was lost to him, buried somewhere in the soft folds of his comforter. It had chirped at him a few times this morning, taunting him from those squashy depths. Qui-Gon let it drift away, and tried instead to put himself in something like a healing trance.
Maybe he had some success with it, too, because some time later he blinked his eyes open to his sunlit room, and heard the swish of the door to his quarters.
“Qui-Gon?”
Qui-Gon stirred, pushing himself up from the pillows—only to ease himself back down into them when his body declared, in no uncertain terms, that it was far too worn out to sit up straight, and his head furthermore reported a disturbing state of lightness.
Obi-Wan poked his head into his room. “Oh dear.”
Qui-Gon waved a hand and smiled. “Hello there,” he said, or tried to. He immediately brought a hand up to his mouth and hoped Obi-Wan hadn’t heard the strained note in his voice.
“No, don’t talk.” Obi-Wan winced. “You sound awful.”
Thank you, Qui-Gon sent along their bond, with an ironic—albeit careful—head-tilt.
“Anakin told me about the flu. He was worried he’d gotten you sick.” Obi-Wan grimaced. “Not sure I want to be the one to tell him about this.”
Qui-Gon couldn’t quite restrain a silent laugh, and immediately regretted it.
“You sound awful, and you look worse,” Obi-Wan declared. “Did you eat anything today?”
Barely made it to the ‘fresher, Qui-Gon admitted, then looked at his former Padawan with an absolutely piteous expression, wide-eyed and pouting. I’m trapped in this bed.
Again, he didn’t say, but the word scratched at the back of his mind like a lothcat at a door.
Obi-Wan eyed him carefully. “I brought you some soup. Think you could manage a spoonful or two?”
My savior, Qui-Gon said, this time without a hint of irony in it at all. I’ll even take commissary fare.
“Yes, well, I’m not a monster,” Obi-Wan told him as he unpacked the takeout bag that Qui-Gon hadn’t noticed at first. “It’s from Dex—tip-yip dumpling soup. He says it’s good for all manner of illnesses. I asked him if he was peddling cure-alls now, but he just laughed at me.”
Qui-Gon didn’t dare laugh again, but he did manage a smile, warm and crooked, if slightly pale. He caught Obi-Wan’s wrist and squeezed gently. “Thank you,” he whispered, because he meant it.
Obi-Wan blushed, and ducked his head. “I’ll—get us some bowls,” he said, and retreated to the kitchen.
But he was back moments later, tray laden with bowls, cups, and a fresh pot of tea, and Qui-Gon was warmed right through by the gesture.

Anonymous asked: Can I have some Hc’s for Takao from Knb being a Yandere?
Tw: Yandere themes, unhealthy mindset, unhealthy relationship, obsession, delusion, clinginess, manipulation, abduction
Yandere Takao Kazunari Hc's
Tumblr media
 🔶 Takao is the type who doesn't need too much time to fall for his darling, he's just flashed and lovestruck in all the right yet wrong ways with them. He's very clingy and has no problem socializing with you, he always ends up approaching you and chit-chatting with you. Takao is obsessive, asks you lots of questions regarding your hobbies and your type, sometimes he ends up being too intrusive. At least Takao realizes that, quickly apologizes and changes the topic. If your answers don't satisfy him though, he questions your friends and people you seem close to. The guy basically infiltrates your circle of close people and befriends all of them with the main goal of being able to be more with you via them. It's also great since he also gets to know a lot about you by being friends with people you trust a lot. Takao is also delusional because whilst he can take hints of you being uncomfortable around him, he's also convinced that you two will be together at one point anyways. He just has faith that you two have a special connection.
 🔶 It's really no secret at one point that he has it bad for you, after he's gained the friendship of all your friends that is. He constantly hangs around you and his affection and touches spill over. Little gifts which he by now knows you like a lot, flirting and here and there even terms of endearment. Takao also has his protective moments where he pulls you behind him and shields you only to check whether or not you're okay right after the situation has cleared up. He wants to be always with his s/o though and is extremely clingy and especially when he knows that you have a hard time will he be a bit too overbearing. He also calls and mails you a lot and you'll get spammed whenever he misses you or has heard from somewhere that currently you're struggling a bit. Most likely ends up making a few photos of you without being aware of it and he always stares at them when he misses you but can't be with you. Don't let him borrow your clothes either because he might take a while to give them back. Or he won't give them back at all.
 🔶 His darling already knows that he has a problem to be quiet and he gets very twitchy when he's ignored for someone else. Takao is an attention-seeker and even if he knows the person you're talking with, he just loathes being ignored for more than a minute. Takao always ends up pushing his way into a conversation, all the faster when he doesn't know someone. He's most likely still all fun even if he ends up being touchy with you just to ensure that you don't forget about him. He finds himself more irritated when someone ends up trying to woo his darling. His smile is more forced and he has a mischievous glimmer in his eyes as he goes through a nasty streak of jealousy. Most likely ends up laughing about anything the person says or does to the point where it's annoying and feels like Takao is laughing over them, which he is.
 🔶 Whilst normally optimistic and easy-going, Takao gets very protective when he knows that someone is giving his darling a hard time. He grows extremely attached and glues himself to your hips so you don't run into said person all alone. He's maybe just a bit sinister with that slightly malicious grin on his face and the dark glimmer in his eyes when he meets the person, his laugh doesn't sound all that cheerful and fun either. Takao avoids physical fights though unless it is an emergency. He's more the type to spread rumors, he really boils up all sort of gossip and is smart enough to charm everyone who can give him some sort of information and the more shameful it is, the better. He plays the innocent victim role good as soon as someone accuses him of lying and spreading all sorts of stories. He's so likeable after all.
 🔶 Takao already envisions that he'll be together with his darling in the future and since he can't really shut his trap too well, he ends up telling it them too. If his darling wants more time, Takao reacts pouty but tries to respect it. His delusional side makes him positive that you'll move in with him one day anyways. It's likely that he'll use the cheap card of guilt-tripping you if you refuse him for too long, questions if you just don't love him as much as he loves you. If you end up trying to leave him, abducting you is a desperate option after blowing up your phone and crying as a way to get you back won't work. If he snaps enough, he might even threaten you to reveal your secrets to others. Takao sort of burries himself inside his delusions after a while as he cracks on the knowledge that he actually kidnapped you. Surely things will get better eventually between you two? You two were meant to be after all.
 🔶 He looks harmless and nice but is quite manipulative about a lot of things. Whether it is using his charm, his social side or all the connection and the information he gains, Takao is smart and knows how to use his cards smartly most of the time. He's fun to be around and whilst he is very clingy and attached, he doesn't reveal his darker obsession too often which is why he flies well under the radar. So surely you wouldn't suspect him if he tells you every once in a while the bad stories he's heard or the advices he gives you. The man holds his affection a bit back until you eventually accept his confession which causes his heart to explode out of love and infatuation. After that he makes sure to let everyone know that you're his.

I feel I've just seen the tip of a giant iceberg float scarily close to my boat, but what is the context of 'i hope jakey dies'? Who is jakey and why did his gf (i am assuming) become the target of such awful biphobia?
I’m no expert because I never really got into the joke much, but basically, “I hope Jakey dies” is a meme that started here, making fun of a cringey dynamic some m/f couples have. So don’t worry, Jakey isn’t a real person, just kind of an archetype for an assumedly mediocre “golden retriever”-type cishet boyfriend. Pretty harmless hater brand tumblr humor, basically.
(Honestly, the original post is also where the first red flag kinda popped up for me. The first replies were whatever, but, especially since Jakey is, again, supposed to be an archetype of cishet man, “nonbinary Jakey” to refer to someone’s AMAB nonbinary partner seems. Idk. Telling of how people view AMAB nonbinary people sometimes.)
After that, it kinda just ended up spreading around as a joke here and there, and tbh I kinda forgot about it until that weird Barbie post this ask is in reference to. There’s not much to say about it that hasn’t already been said, but to me, 1) it’s pretty obvious that the original tiktok was either exaggeration or outright bait, and 2) even if it wasn’t, it’s maybe a little cringe, but harmless. But regardless, people are using it to mock (or outright wish harm or death upon) bi women for dating men, or implying that bi women are actually straight and just pretending to be queer (for attention? I guess?). And “I hope Jakey dies” has kinda become the phrase all those folks are spamming ad nauseam. I’ve seen a lot of comments about how people defending the tiktok or calling out the biphobia are just “defending men,” but like. I’m not just seeing things right. This whole thing reeks of misogyny and weird gender essentialism. Because the center of the joke usually isn’t even on the man or “Jakey,” it’s on the woman dating him for expressing that she likes him or whatever.
And also I really hate how people seem to be extremely comfortable with threatening people, or hoping they die or kill themselves, over something that’s “cringe” or somewhat annoying. Like it’s genuinely gross behavior. But idk maybe that’s just me.

I really hope Nicholas doesn’t stop engaging just bc of these annoying people 💀 he wasn’t even interacting with HSR fans, he was literally joking around with another va, Caleb, and yet here comes the cavalry who have to give their opinions on the dumbest shit ever and spark arguments that should have already been settled
And really, they’re preaching all about how they’re not being rude, stuff is public to comment on “and correct” while being condescending as hell and not understanding that their own view is a THEORY still, not anything canonically confirmed to be true
Making a thread about it is ridiculous too, I really used to respect that person as a theorist and as someone who’d analyze the lore, but seeing how they’re behaving right now and their absolutely condescending attitude to other people, specifically to people not even being hostile or rude or anything. And them having this thread proving that “they’re actually the victim here” pointing out a bunch of people who disagree with them that are being rude, ignoring how people on their side are literally harassing and spamming Nicholas. Like why are you acting like there aren’t people on your side being absolutely fucking assholes!!
Sorry not to keep talking about this, but I’m mad. I’m extremely mad, why can’t we have peace for a single second in this fandom

lemme guess, something about ai?
Yes.
Like I get and respect that people don’t like it for various reasons. It is the technological bogeyman of the day, sometimes for extremely valid reasons, some of them less so, but that’s not really my issue here, or what I’m annoyed about. Hate “AI” all you want, your opinion doesn’t negatively impact my life one way or the other.
And like, just so I’m not vagueposting, the TL;DR situation is someone has written a script to leave troll comments on AO3 fics that they’re fic was “flagged as written by ChatGPT” (let’s put a pin in that, I’ll get back to it). I have seen at least one of my friends receive that comment a few days ago. According to this post, this has evolved into them inserting a link to paste your work to check it against some website that can check the level of AI written words vs human written words. While I haven’t personally seen that evolution, I absolutely believe that report because it follows the typical pattern of mass deployed bots both on AO3, Tumblr, Twitter, etc. They’re suggesting to not click on the link and report the comment as spam. Absolutely, you should not click on that link, and you should absolutely report that comment as the spam that it is.
Basic Internet 101: You should never click on sketchy links. Regardless of the device* you’re using. Period. It is playing with fire, for many reasons, including malware, viruses, ransomware, social engineering, identity theft, compromising your social accounts and/or financial data, and a slew of other things that have actual real world consequences
* If you are that curious to where it leads, you need to understand your devices and internet security, and set up a playground in a proper environment that you understand (ie: a virtual machine that doesn’t have any personal information and can be safely isolated from your actual network, etc). I do not understand mechanisms and potentials for failures, so I’ve never done this, as it’s a waste of resources in my opinion about 99% of the time.
No, what I’m taking issue with is them talking about “we shouldn’t click on malicious link from spam comments” because “they might be tricking you into helping train an new AI system”. Because maybe the person reading that statement hates AI and doesn’t want to train a system (and would somehow click this link otherwise). Or maybe it’s the opposite, and they don’t mind, so they would click the link then? The reasons we don’t click sketchy links on the internet isn’t because we all hate “AI” and want it to die, the reason is we don’t want to get malware installed on our machines or possibly our fucking identity stolen.
Accidentally training an AI dataset is not the same level of threat as the actual reason bad actors want you to click on sketchy links. It’s not the reason they send you social engineering e-mails. It’s not the reason they try and infect you with ransomware sometimes used to try and cripple real world infrastructure or systems (that hey, also sometimes leads to bomb threats in real life totally don’t know of this happening in real life noooope 🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃). Yes, there’s a lot of ethical concerns and some potential for harm with certain arms of this technology — but your fanfic on AO3 is not on the same level as why we don’t click on sketchy links.
It’s just not.
I mean this in the nicest, kindest possible way, but someone doing this? Doesn’t care about your fanfic. I’m sorry, but no matter the scenario, they just don’t. Even if it is the most beautifully written masterpiece to grace AO3, someone who is writing and deploying a script to write spam comments, and spam comments that involve sketchy links to websites? That is someone who is already engaging in unethical behavior. It’s hitting up any story on AO3, regardless if the story itself was first handwritten on paper and then typed up, or (extremely improbable if you’ve ever even used the system) ChatGPT. So you have a few options of what clicking that link will lead to, and I’ll start with most likely, to least likely.
Most likely: you’re being redirected to a malware ridden website, designed to either capture your personal data or install something on your web browser and/or system.
Less likely, but still more than what’s said on that post: It’s some sort of social engineering scam, although without me knowing the link and going to the website, I can’t see what credentials it would be trying to trick you into passing over.
Even less likely: Someone has set up one of these “AI writing checking websites” (another thing I need to circle back to at the bottom), and is trying to drum up usership and/or are using the AO3 links to try and boost their Google SEO rating (ala the same method as Tumblr porn bots). The usership boost is less likely because they start off by insulting the writer, so if anything, if the website link is to an actual “AI writing checker” deploying a script like this would be for artificially inflating its Google ranking, at the most innocent. However, knowing what we do of people who deploy bots of that nature, then it likely originated from the Dark Web, as quite a few (but not all) of these malicious bot scripts come from. Also extremely sketchy. Circle back to the malware likelihood above.
Potential Maybe: Some very sad person who hangs out at whatever website the 4chan/8chan/etc crowd has migrated to. Has an unreasonable hatred of the typical AO3 user and wants to make them fear a comment in their inbox. Maybe set up a website to troll them to tell them every time they submit a piece of text it returns a result that they’re SUCH a bad writer they look like a chat bot. Seems like a waste of resources and time to me, but what do I know?
The absolute most least likely, because COME ON: Someone would like to train a new AI dataset, but for some reason they want this data either user submitted (again, they can easily capture this data without this step), so therefore it’s opt-in and I guess “ethically” sourced? (Although not really because the initial link you clicked to get there is deployed via a bot with a lie that you didn’t write what you wrote). But let’s roll with this, they for some reason want you to submit this text, rather than just get it on their own. Somehow they’ve buried in the TOS that everything you submit via the website is permission to use to train this AI dataset. And if anyone objects later, well, they just didn’t read the TOS. And they’re going to use it to build some new sparkly dataset, or somehow improve their AI checker. Or make some new writer bot. And it needs this user submitted, opt-in data. Except… uh… here’s the thing: with datasets like these, quality does matter some, but quantity is what builds the more sophisticated systems. So for them to capture enough of this user submitted data, they would need to get enough submitted words numbering at the very least in the millions in order to get enough needed to make this effort worth it. ChatGPT and Bing’s system use, I believe, GPT-4, which I may be misremembering this number in a largely astronomical scale, is at least 4 billion? Or possibly an insanely high number. They literally scanned the entire gd English internet to build those, so. You know.
There’s probably other scenarios I haven’t outlined above, but I don’t really believe any of them would lead to anything positive and sparkly. So no. I’m sorry, but that link is not being used to somehow trick you into submitting your fic to give up your words via some weird scheme to train a laughably bad AI dataset. Like, regardless of your feelings on “AI” (and I do use those air quotes loosely, because it’s not actually AI as we understand, but that’s another tangent and this has already gotten stupid long), it’s at best a further attempt to troll a fic writer, or at worst, something that’s going to infect your system.
So I said I would circle back to two things: ChatGPT, and these websites set up to supposedly “detect AI written text”. Right now, ChatGPT as a phrase is a marketing buzzword. The service itself went viral near the end of 2022/beginning of 2023, so everyone is talking about it. Even my technologically less-inclined colleagues at work are either starry eyed about it, or clutching pearls that somehow it’s going to steal their job (it’s not). AI is a buzzword right now, and it’s one that has a lot of emotion built up around it, both positive and negative. Some people love it, some people hate it, but everyone has an opinion, and a large majority of it is polarized. Scammers, fraudsters, and grifters like to tap into people being irrationally emotional (positive or negative) about things, because it has more potential to bypass your internal voice that makes you stop and think a little and engage in critical thinking. The message as written is intended to kick you into a panic mode, so you will go and prove it wrong. This is grifter 101. And also why it’s always a good idea to be very aware of your hot button issues, and the ways they can be potentially used against you. And why when you get extremely emotional about something online (especially something that makes you scared or angry), you should take a step back before engaging without thinking critically about it.
And finally, these websites that supposedly detect if any given set of text is actually generated by AI. In short: they all suck, and none of the ones I’ve seen actually tested work on any degree where they can be deployed to generate an accurate result. Including the one set up by OpenAI, the company who runs ChatGPT. Several people have run several tests with both generated text and genuinely written human text, and way more than half the time the generated text comes up as written by a human. And then human written text will sometimes gets flagged as generated content. Right now, all they amount to is basically a random number generator. Because either these engines have to be programmed by a human person who has to know what patterns to look for, or be written or augmented by these neural networks (aka what every single thing marketed as “AI” really are, because it has nothing to do with what we understand as intelligence, artificial or otherwise, it’s a type of programming not a being or Skynet or anything other than 1s and 0s that look for and recognize patterns). And either way, they have to know what is positive and negative. If you alter text in anyway, (ironically, by using a rephrasing service also built off neural net/this same technology), it can throw of the system. OpenAI even flirted with the possibility of trying to embed some sort of text watermark in their generations to be able to track it. But again, the moment you rephrase it, that gets broken. So, it’s useless at actually catching anyone doing this a large portion of the time, and not sophisticated enough to deployed at a large scale without causing harm.
But yeah. To circle back to my point. I wanted to reblog the original post in question, because I want to let people know about the potential for people getting these comments and knowing to report them as spam, but also being aware to not click on the links. Sure, I could have reblogged the version with them acting like the bad part was training an AI dataset, and put the ACTUAL reasons we don’t do that in the tags. But sometimes I just get annoyed and stubborn about stupid things (in this case, me reblogging something I don’t find accurate). I think most of us already knew at least the basic strokes of a lot of the above, so I’m probably preaching to the choir.
But seriously, if you want to criticize the technology, please, do so. It is currently a black box filled with potential for both good and harm. But at least do your research to understand why a thing is bad, that way it’s an informed discussion that educates people about the actual harms being perpetrated and how they can be mitigated. Instead of just like, making shit up. Because the more myths and misinformation you create about something (even innocently), the more it can be used against you later in ways that are actively malicious. Because I can guarantee you, some bad actor will eventually recognize how unreasonably angry this subject makes people, and they will find a way to turn that anger against you. Education is your best defense.

Dumb Ways to Die... BG3 edition! PART: 1
Long post EXTREMELY LONG POST...okay maybe, probably not that long?? DEFINITELY LONG and Possible spoilers?!? I'm not sure read at your own peril! IT'S TOTALLY WORTH IT THOUGH🤣
I've been playing BG3 for a collective of well over 250 hours now. I CAN'T express how much I absolutely LOVE this game! I adore my OG character she is perfect (as Astarion loves to tell me)! I will ALWAYS choose ASTARION to romance and too fall in love with repeatedly! ⬇️⬇️❤️❤️⬇️⬇️
Tumblr media
That has not changed in the other 2 characters I have made so far alongside my OG campaign. I have save scummed SO hard. (Listen...I want to watch THOSE scenes with my OG character over and over again whenever I want lmao😂 I also love watching the wholesome fluff scenes too) ❤️That being said this is not that kind of post.. this post is my, lets call it....DUMB WAYS TO DIE .....To the story.....
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
THE STORY: The Goblin Horde
I would like to stress the importance of what I'm going to say next!
☠️☠️ALWAYS GROUP YOUR PARTY MEMBERS!!!!☠️☠️
So there I was playing on an ALT campaign that I made because I wanted to see what Dark Urge was all about. (I should clarify that I have NOT finished the story yet...no, not even on my OG campaign, im enjoying the game at my own pace and I have a lot of IRL responsibilities too.) So.. there I was, Astarion is madly in love with me ❤️ I just saved Halsin from the Goblins 🐻 everything is going so well, and he wants me to kill the BIG THREE leaders of the Goblin Camp. 👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇
Tumblr media
I got this....or so I thought...*(rolls a NAT 1 on Confidence)*
In my party I have Astarion, Shadowheart and Wyll. I also have a summoned wolf but for the sake of this story we're gonna leave them out of it. On my OG character I have already gone through the Goblin camp so on my Dark Urge alt I was feeling pretty good about my survival chances this time around...I start by picking off small groups of Goblins, the ones that are secluded, around corners, away from the big packs so it doesnt alert all of them. I close doors to keep them hidden...you know...
Tumblr media
⬆️⬆️YEA THAT⬆️⬆️
I destroy EVERY SINGLE war drum cause obvious reasons⬆️ I DONT want to alert everybody! I even saved Volo because...I have a soft spot for his annoying humor, and quite litterally I'm pretty sure he is the NPC equivalent of the games damsel in distress but *spoilers* lol. When I've picked off the stragglers all that is left is the BIG THREE and their packs of mobs around them. I figure my best bet is kill off Grannie Gut first so I remember that there are some spiders in the makeshift cages below and if you're like me well...🕷️☠️
Tumblr media
☠️🕷️Same Ron, Same🕷️☠️
But I ➡️ UNGROUP Wyll⬅️..remember this.. I ungroup only Wyll, because he is the only one in my party who can speak too animals and I was determined to Dr. Dolittle Bullshit my way through a convo with these spiders to make them do my biding! Even if it killed me, and if the RNG/DICE gods were displeased with me it could, would and probably should have. (Also this would be a good time to mention that yes I know there are potions, and scrolls for speak to animals...but I am a complete and utter MONEY GREMLIN sooo it all gets sold). So, I sweet talk my way through that convo while also trying not to stare directly at my screen cause. 🕷️=☠️.
The spiders tell me you need to open the door for us and im like that is simple enough. I walk over, I try to unlock the doors and the guards on the other side (nice chaps, great convo) say noooo the gates must stay closed spiders are dangerous, they are not trained. (I KNOW, kinda the point here). So if I couldnt open the doors I was just going to do what I've done best so far and KILL THEM.
Tumblr media
As wyll is shooting at these two "innocent" guards they are trying to spam unlock the door and all I'm seeing is:
.....Locked,Locked,Locked,Locked,Locked,Locked,Locked,Locked,Locked,Locked,Locked,Locked,Locked,Locked,Locked,Locked,Locked,Locked,Locked,Locked,Locked,Locked,Locked,Locked......
At this point I have Astarion jump down and help me kill these goblins, but not before another "innocent bystanding" goblin joins the fight. At this point Shadowheart, and my ALT are trying to kill this extra goblin. Astarion is trying to unlock the door, the spiders are saying FREE us. And Wyll is just standing there living his best life, When Grannie Gut gets involved...
Stay tuned PART: 2 will be up shortly!

Note
I don't like misinformation its one of the many things I hate seeing in this community because it spreads extremely fast on YouTube and TikTok most of all(Sammy's video exhibit A), so when I see law of attraction people mistaking the law of assumption for law of attraction I'm like ???
Because they say stuff like "be delusional, your reality is whatever you want it to be," then go and say it's law of attraction when law of attraction is "you HAVE to have high vibrations and do all these bs things to manifest literally one thing," also those videos on YouTube, with people saying they have "that one tip" or "one trick" "something that'll help you manifest in minutes" "that one method that always makes your results come fast" and it's the same recycled bs all the time🙄 write in a journal, say what you're grateful for, get up every morning and write everything you want 100 times, pray over your water, all these same things in EVERY video and they always use that same clickbait title in EVERY video title for almost the same method, like one guy will be like "that one method to manifest instantly" and as soon as I look at that thumbnail and see a book with writing or a book in general I'm like "aight imma head out,"(I don't even intend to watch it I just roll my eyes and move on) or the other people who have the same things in their titled just in a different format, "the manifestation method that works instantly," and it's the same shit just different structure or different way to do it or different words used to describe it🙄🙄. And oh yea I get what you mean by feeling bad for your younger self because that law of attraction phase I had BEFORE law of assumption was BAD, so much depression and anxiety and so much desperation and ugh I was a trainwreck honestly, I tried doing that fake positivity but I felt miserable, I hated it and I still hate it, I can't imagine being in that mindset still🙃 anyway sorry for all these spam messages hope they weren't bothersome! I probably sent so much omg, I'm sorry if they were, I enjoyed talking to you again though 😭🥺💖
-🥺💖(I hope these are good emojis to use that aren't taken because I already use them on other blogs but please do tell me if I have to change).
those emojis are good!! :)
also you just reminded me of when law of attraction youtubers would be like "i have the way to finally help you manifest!" and then it would be 40 page "workbook" pdf youre supposed to fill out basically answering dumb questions like "why do you want your desire? :)" it was sooo annoying. the law of attraction coaches and community just spent like 90% of their time trying to talk you out of manifesting whatever you wanted and the other 10% giving very vague advice. im so thankful i discovered the law of assumption and dont have to deal with that anymore 😭

osu! diary, 3rd december 2022
so i've been grinding osu! quite a lot during the past week, when i definitely should have studied more, especially when mid-terms are coming up, in fact, i have one tomorrow morning, but i'm here writing this lol
also i titled this "diary", but this is probably a one-time thing, like yeah yeah, diary in vnese is nhật ký, and nhật (meaning "day") implies the daily aspect of it, but hey, i can't be bothered to write sth daily, not like i have enough ability or linguistic skills to write so much ._.
so yeah, like i've said before, i've been grinding a lot recently. specifically, this is the graph showing the number of plays in the past year
Tumblr media
November: 175 plays
December: 59 plays (keep in mind we're only 3 days in)
so yep, the future's not looking so bright LOL
the main reason why im playing so much is because i've got a new laptop, so i'm kinda abusing the storage and specs upgrade from my last laptop
and... on the topic of storage, here we have the amount of storage i've spent for storing the beatmaps
Tumblr media
i feel fortunate because i'm currently only into play osu!standard, and not other game modes as well, because god knows how much more storage it's gonna take up
but yeah the first few days when i first installed the game, i mass downloaded the beatmaps. i just looked up some popular artists and download all the beatmaps of the songs that i know. to the point that osu literally temporarily blocked me from downloading any more beatmaps 💀💀💀 they quite literally shouted at my face that i need to stop downloading maps and play more...
of course, after playing for a bit and waited until the next day, i could download more beatmaps again 😈 so as of now, we end up with
Tumblr media
...
i have no idea if i'm gonna be able to play all of them. obviously there are also beatmaps from other game modes, and there are 6-star, 7-star beatmaps which i don't think i'm gonna ever have enough skills to play them. i might need to filter them out sometime, for now i can't be bothered to do that, especially when they don't take up that much space in my hard disk.
there's kinda one problem tho, it's when i try to press the Z and X keys on this laptop, but it's a membrane keyboard, and this laptop also happens to be really slim too, so pressing the keys down feels very shallow. i find it really annoying at first typing on this keyboard, still does now, but im more used to the feels. but yeah, it feels kinda weird having to spam these two buttons playing osu!, and since the laptop in general is so fragile, i always feel like i'm damaging the keys somehow. so i might get specialised keycaps just for this game idk (if i do, that would be extremely concerning actually)
~~~~~
and so the grinding starts, i played some maps that i used to love playing on my old laptop, also tried out some new maps, most of them are songs that i'm already familiar with, so i tend to not have a lot of problem with the rhythms
one of the really good songs that i've downloaded and have played recently is lily allen's fuck you. honestly, the song itself is amazing. the beatmap, well, it's a little bit slow, so i had to do put some mods in, specifically HR - hard rock, making the circles smaller and faster and DT - double time, increase the speed of the song and the beatmap by 1.5 times i think (yeah i know it says double but that's how the mod works ig)
honestly that was pretty challenging to me already, especially when the tempo of the song is 1.5 times faster. but it also pays off with a good amount of pp (let me stop you horny mfs right there, it's performance points) and rank, and ofc had quite a bit of fun playing it, and a bunch of adrenaline as well.
another beatmap is sesame street's cookie butter choco cookie, it's basically ppap, but for kids
honestly i'm still wondering how is this a thing, like, look at this
セサミストリート:ピコ太郎、エルモとクッキーモンスターの CBCC (Cookie-Butter-Choco-Cookie) - YouTube
the beatmap was just the first minute when elmo and cookie monster was singing. there are also quite a lot of difficulties to choose from, so i just played a lot of that song, not to mention because i'm also kinda grinding for stats, and i tried a difficulty that's a bit harder for me, so yeah just imagine having elmo and cookie monster "awh" harmoniously in your ear three times each time the song plays and have that repeat for about 15-20 minutes...
truly traumatised
it kinda pays off tho, i got a 2nd highest on my PB leaderboard, and im now in the 600k (ofc, not a lot, but still sth)
Tumblr media
i enjoyed it a lot, i've always loved rhythm games, and osu! is an awesome game, despite it's clearly contributing to my highly likely, upcoming dramatic academic downfall, but hey, circle clicking game is fun, you can't blame me alright?
