#the mlb fandom is the worst about this

I'm back in my BSD phase so my page is now full of Bungou Stray Dogs contents reblogs, mostly analysis. But randomly you see a post of another fandom on it. XD
It's kinda funny like you scroll down and see multiple analysis on BSD characters and dark theme but then there's a cute fanart of MLB in the middle of it. My interest is all over the place.

So, I used to be apart of the Maribat/ Mlb x DC crossover fandom years back. And now I'm in the DC x DP fandom.
And let me tell you, my experiences between the two crossover fandoms could not have been any more different. These fandoms are literally on the opposite ends of the spectrum of DC crossover fics.
Here are my observations:
DC x DP (Danny Phantom)
Very Sweet. There's not a lot of hate for any of the characters most of the time.
Less romance, more found family + growing friendships
A whole lot less flanderisation of certain characters' personalities (in a way that's not overwhelming)
MLB (Miraculous Ladybug) x DC
Salt. Salt EVERYWHERE. There's so much salt it's dehydrating to read especially if you're a fan of certain characters. If you're an Adrien or an Alya fan, proceed with some caution, some fics don't tag who they're bashing/salting on. You could be reading a fic that you assume has Adrien & Marinette being wholesome friends but then get slapped with Adrien being an ooc spineless jerk/pervert to Marinette.
More romance oriented. Not to say there isn't found family because there certainly is but maribat definitely leans more into romance.
In certain salt fics, the characters are seriously flanderised to the point they're not even recognisable anymore. Adrien is the main victim of this along with Alya. Like some of y'all did Alya DIRTY. Adrien still got the worst of it though. And on the DC side of things, Damian is a little too sweet.
They do have one thing for certain in common when it comes to fics and that is that the Justice League had no clue that these teen superheroes are literally carrying a world-sized burden on their shoulders with no to very little adult guidance in their lives and honestly: my fave trope EVER! Mlb x DC fandom, continue to beat up Green Lantern for ignoring LB's calls for help. That shit is delicious.
I got a lot of criticisms for Maribat fics, especially on AO3. Authors please, for the love of all things Fandom, TAG WHO YOU'RE BASHING.
I used to like Adrien/Alya bashing fics back then but I've given them a lot of thought, especially since I began thinking about Adrien/Alya's characterisation and personalities and how some of these fics really butcher the characters. Which then just made me fall out of love with Maribat. The Fandom is too salty for me. Its unhealthy to have that much salt content in your system guys.
Anyway, just some observations and some criticisms I wanted to talk about regarding these two very different yet quite similar DC crossover fandoms.
To the Danny Phantom guys, keep doing what you're doing, you guys are amazing <3
To the Miraculous Ladybug guys, TAG YOUR SHIT
- From your resident AdriDamiNette shipper and Ghost King Danny Phantom, adopted son of Jason Todd or Lex Luthor enthusiast

————————————————————
Even though they’ve been classmates for years at Dupont, Nino couldn’t really consider himself to be friends with all of them. Maybe the guys, but certainly not the girls.
So, despite how friendly Rose has always been even when they were attending Notre Dame, he didn’t actually know her well enough to feel comfortable calling her a close friend despite their shared circles. He knew nothing of her involvement in any of Marinette’s plans unless Marinette or Alix talked to him, and apart from info gathering, he couldn’t think of any other reasons on how she factored into Marinette’s plans. An insider job, perhaps?
Rose still wore a pink ribbon, her unspoken sign of her allegiance to Marinette, so… they were in the same boat. They both fell for Lila’s lies and were trying to make it up to Marinette. Rose was a much better actress than he ever realized.
“What a screwed up situation we’re in, huh?” Nino asked wryly, leaning back into his seat. They were both in the library, working on their assigned project for their history class in the peace and quiet.
“I wouldn’t say that,” Rose said with a smile, though her eyes narrowed at him. “If anything, it’s a minor setback.”
“If that’s how you wanna call it…” he frowned, trailing off as he looked at the textbook. “Y’know, there’s no shame in admitting—”
“We are both in very different situations, Nino,” Rose sharply stated in a sweet tone of voice. “You let yourself be fooled. I let myself be complacent. There’s a difference.”
He didn’t get why Rose seemed so on edge, but it was probably for the best if he let the conversation drop. Out of everyone, Rose was the worst person to be stuck in an argument with, especially because she had that effect on people in making them feel as if they kicked a puppy.
It didn’t seem all that different to him, though. They were both in the same situations, just different end results.
Still, Rose was also the most observant person in their group who could easily pick up on a wide range of information, and her grudges were long-lasting. He’s not gonna argue about technicalities.
“You’re slouching,” Rose started frowning.
“I know,” he awkwardly admits.
“You can’t avoid it forever,” she gently said.
“I know, Rose.”
At this, she sighed, “If you don’t do anything about it, I will.”
It wasn’t a threat; it was a promise.
He doesn’t say anything in response to that, because he knows. Everyone is doing their part, no matter how hard it might be, and he’s been stalling.
But what he’s about to do is going to hurt either way.
His relationship with Alya is on the line — if she doesn’t believe him then… they might break up. He knows that the likelihood of their relationship surviving into adulthood is pretty slim, but he doesn’t want to lose her over a liar, he knows that much. If he says nothing, he’s letting her be manipulated; if he says something, it’s over even if he doesn’t want them to be. The only possibility of it going great is if Alya hears him out, which is definitely going to be a 50-50 chance.
And if Adrien doesn’t believe him, he might go crazy, but it’d be bearable — Adrien and Lila kinda have a thing going on. Adrien’s already pretty clueless about a ton of stuff, even more so when it comes to girls flirting with him, but with how he lets Lila hang off of him all the time, he wouldn’t be surprised if he was blinded from infatuation.
“If I were you, I would talk to Alya first,” Rose smiled sweetly. He’s not sure if it’s genuine kindness or if it’s part of her own plans, because it’s Nino’s problem to begin with, but it’s good advice nevertheless. “It’ll be easier to convince Adrien, but harder with Alya. If you do end up arguing or breaking up over this, then she’ll have time to come around and apologize.”
Adrien would be easier to convince.
As much as he thinks his feelings for Alya might be tipping into love, his girlfriend’s got a short temper and he can’t deny it. She was easy to rile up, and it does get hard to communicate with her when she’s adamant about being right.
“…yeah, you’re right. Thanks, dudette.”
——————————
“For the record, this is a terrible idea.”
Alix knew that her words would do nothing to deter Marinette from seeing this meeting through to the end, but she has always been her right-hand man and stating the obvious is her job. Honest to a fault, some might say, but frankly that’s the way Marinette prefers it. Despite their past disagreements, it will always remain the same.
Despite what happens, Marinette leads, and Alix follows.
“Oh, believe me,” she dryly chuckles, shooting Alix an amused look. Alix didn’t see why this was so amusing to Marinette, but maybe her suffering was the funny thing here. “I know it is.”
Standing tall before them was a very familiar building — a rather sizable hotel. It was overly fancy and had long since lost its charm, and yet it was the only place that Dupont could get a free field trip at on short notice: Le Grand Paris.
Despite knowing that it’ll be far from pleasant, it was necessary. There was no set precedent when it came to disbanding a faction and rebuilding it in later years, but this felt like a matter of formalities.
It was during the faction meeting that Marinette disbanded Méticuleuse, and so she herself needed to correct her past action — even if it never really stopped her followers from still following her unofficial guidelines.
The first step of doing so was holding a faction meeting, and that required a proper apology to Chloé Bourgeois (yeah, the irony of this fact wasn’t lost on Alix — Mme Bustier has consistently been badgering Marinette to apologize to Chloé despite being innocent, and here she was, doing exactly what Mme Bustier would be ecstatic to hear). Before they could move forward, they all probably need to air out their grievances, which was going to be the worst.
At least it was only Chloé who was going to be complaining.
(Félix technically needed to be there as well, but he was a special case considering that he isn’t attending Dupont and wasn’t even in France to begin with.)
So, apart from Marinette and Alix, it was just Chloé and Sabrina, and Claude Sainté-Pierre who was acting as Félix’s proxy (as he always did) who would be in attendance.
‘She’s going to be insufferable,’ Alix sighed, already feeling slightly irritated at the thought. “Would it be too late to ask you to swap me out with Rose for the meeting?”
“Absolutely,” Marinette smiled serenely, looking at Alix with a clear statement of “you’re not getting out of this that easily” — which, fair. Alix knew what she was getting into when she agreed to remain as her second. “Besides, Rose has more pressing matters to attend to from what I’m aware of, while you just have your daily bets and competitions with Kim. Ondine can easily help you get out of that by asking to spend more time with him.”
Ah. An unexpected bonus. That was also the reason why Kim didn’t seem to complain too much when Alix told him she had to bail on their race for the day, if Alix put two and two together.
Alix knew that Ondine was popular and reliable, and they both get along well enough (and Alix can say for certain that Ondine’s too good for Kim), but she never really stopped to think of her beyond that. Kim and Ondine were still in that phase of figuring out their maybe-relationship, so Alix did actively try to avoid thinking of Ondine more often than not purely because she wanted nothing to do with that.
‘It sure is convenient that Kim’s definite-girlfriend is in our group,’ Alix nodded. ‘I’m tired of all his demands for a rematch.’
“We should probably go in now,” Marinette sighed, sealing Alix’s fate for the next few hours.
‘On second thought… never mind.’
——————————
‘I would do anything to get out of this,’ Claude Sainté-Pierre thought, a fake smile plastered on his face as takes a sip of water.
They were sitting at one of the private tables of Le Grand Paris — something normally offered to celebrities and VIP guests. Chloé’s butler had assured them at the start that no classmates of theirs will be allowed to take a foot into the building before bowing and taking his leave.
The butler and the whole secret meeting was a bit much, but Claude was somewhat used to it. His parents were on the wealthy side, yet his family didn’t have a butler or anything — a regular cleaning service and security system, yes, but not their own wait staff. Allegra’s family had no qualms about employing maids and their own personal chef, and Allan’s family may have been similar to his, but Allan’s family had their own home studio and an indoor cinema.
Marinette’s probably the only one who would get it — Félix had the chance to go to her house when they were younger, and they didn’t have any hired help. At the bakery, yeah, but not within the house.
The sound of a glass cup thumping against the table brought him back to the conversation at hand.
Or rather… the lack of conversation.
They were seated at a table for six, with Claude kinda sitting across from Alix. Chloé was unfortunately next to him, while an empty chair remained on his other side. Empty seat, Claude, Chloé, Sabrina, Marinette, and Alix — the typical setup to prevent a faction leader from sitting next to another leader. It was mostly to prevent them from being fixated on the other person, since it often led to distractions.
Marinette and Chloé argued, Chloé and Félix would make snide comments against each other, while Marinette and Félix would, well… Claude’s not sure what to call it, exactly. It wasn’t flirting, but it also wasn’t really arguing or getting along.
Just talking, he supposes, which would make this meeting far less awkward.
“I believe you have something to say to me, Dupain-Cheng,” Chloé stated with sharp narrowed eyes, smiling.
Everyone knew that Chloé only stopped referring to Marinette by her first name ever since she stepped down from her position. Claude was under the impression that it would’ve changed once he heard from Félix that Chloé finally won.
Marinette maintained her smile, her lips twitching just the slightest bit as she relaxed her shoulders and fixed her stare on Chloé.
“Congratulations, Bourgeois,” Marinette stated. “You were right; I was wrong. You won.”
He expected as much.
For reasons beyond his comprehension, the Akuma Class believed the liar girl over Marinette for the better part of the year or two — he wasn’t paying too much attention to them, just Marinette given how haggard she was from overwork. It was even more noticeable with how their peers on the student council would always talk about her worriedly.
“I know I am,” Chloé had scoffed, leaning back into her seat as she regarded Marinette with a rather cold look. “That’s not what I was talking about.”
“And what exactly do you want to hear?” Marinette asked incredulously.
Looks like he wasn’t the only one who was confused — even Sabrina and Alix seemed surprised over the statement. Sabrina should’ve known everything about Chloé, and for her to be thrown off by this just goes to show that Claude really was wrong about the Charmante Faction Leader.
“What I want,” Chloé seemed to glare, “is an apology.”
“For what?” Marinette’s brows knit, clear confusion on her face. “For being naïve by not believing you?”
“That, and for your deplorable behaviour,” Chloé practically sneered. “It was disgusting, watching you act beneath your station.”
Alright… now she was definitely matching Claude’s memories of her. Claude was starting to think that maybe Ladybug was actually making a bigger and better positive impact than Adrien Agreste, but he stands corrected.
“Right,” Marinette dryly stated. “You’ve always been the type for extravagance like all the others who prefer to indulge in their wealth. How dare I show such a shameful side of me, for preferring to disregard status. I’d prefer to call it moderation, however. Ah, what was it again? Moderation is key, isn’t it?”
“Ridiculous. Utterly ridiculous,” Chloé wrinkled her nose in distaste. “Moderation,” she scoffed, looking at her nails as if to ignore Marinette. “Well, look where moderation brought you. Acting like a mere commoner, lowering yourself as if you were a feeble servant to our peers, becoming not only a doormat, but also becoming a stalker!”
Oh… oh.
Claude suddenly had a feeling that maybe, just maybe, this was becoming personal. It was no wonder why Chloé wasn’t finding delight in Marinette’s defeat right from the get go — something that all of them had been expecting — she was pissed because of Marinette’s former fangirl crush on her friend.
Judging from the look of dawning realization on Marinette’s face, she got the memo.
“I’m sorry,” Marinette stated, looking away from Chloé. She was ashamed, he could tell that much. “I shouldn’t have let myself get so obsessed with the idea of Prince Charming. For what it’s worth, I have made strides to improve myself for the better.”
“I’ll believe it when I see it,” came Chloé’s clipped reply. “Adrikins is innocent and naïve — he needs someone to snap him out of it like I tried to do for you. I’m waiting until he finally opens his eyes on this whole Liar Rossi thing, because with how much he cares for the simpletons of our class, he’s going to realize that she’s the worst type of person to associate with. What he doesn’t need is to get dragged into your fantasy and unresolved issues — despite the distance, he is still my childhood friend.”
“I get it,” Marinette stated with gritted teeth. “When I realized how kind he was, he…” she sighed, shoulders slumping. “He matched my idea of a perfect prince.”
At this, Chloé leaned back into her seat once more, giving Marinette a glare. “You weren’t using him to get back at Félix for leaving, were you? Considering how similar they look.”
Oh, jeez… Claude didn’t want to hear any of this conversation for plausible deniability, but now he has no choice. This was definitely going to bite him in the ass later, because, well, for starters he’s the only guy here and if Félix says anything, itll get traced back to him. Sure, Alix was nonbinary and didn’t care about pronouns, but she was loyal to Marinette to begin with so no worries about breach of privacy there. Félix was unaware of the Marinette’s crush on him from back then, but there’s no doubt he knows now.
(It didn’t help much that Claude was probably the only one in the Quantic Kids who picked up on this whole crush situation. He never said anything to avoid getting on Marinette’s bad side, besides, he thought Félix was only nice to Marinette due to being all businessman-like.)
“Of course not,” Marinette huffed. “Yeah, I wanted to forget Félix, but I didn’t even realize that they were cousins until he came back. Félix is a common name, and I didn’t remember his last name beyond Graham until I saw the film with Adrien’s mother.”
“Hmph. Fine. I’ll accept that for now,” Chloé said, pursing her lips. “I won’t apologize for my words and actions. I’m still far too upset at what you’ve done to him under the guise of friendship to even want to.”
“As long as we’re done airing out our grievances, that’s fine with me,” Marinette smiled. “Now, can we finally move onto what we’re really here for?”
“Hold it,” Chloé cut in. “Sabrina, call our guest.”
“Yes ma’am,” Sabrina complied to the command, pulling out her phone.
“A guest?” Marinette blinked. “You never mentioned that another person was joining us.”
“Why would I waste my time on that when you’re going to be meeting them anyway, Marinette?” Chloé rolled her eyes. “Just wait.”
Claude, who left one of his hands in his hoodie’s pocket with his phone, finally ended the call with Félix before Sabrina could call him herself.
——————————
Nino’s not sure if it’s because he knew, deep down inside, that this was going to happen, but it’s a strange feeling nevertheless. He thinks that maybe he’s heartbroken, maybe numb, but he knows that he’s upset because he did cry in the restroom for several minutes after it happened.
Like ripping off a band-aid — hurts and then it’s fine for a while. Not great, not terrible, but fine.
As much as he didn’t want to, it’s either stick with the herd, or save the rest of his class from further manipulation.
It does hurt, though, knowing that he and Alya won’t be spending time together any more, that she’ll give him back his stuff and he’ll give hers back as well. He’s going to get bombarded with questions from the guys, and he’s not sure if that’s something he’s capable of handling emotionally at the moment.
“Nino…?” Adrien hesitantly called out, frowning with his brows pinched in concern. “Are you okay?”
He doesn’t think he is. On the bright side, he won’t be akumatized until maybe later. Can’t really say the same for Alya who just stomped off, but he expected that.
“Alya and I broke up.”
It was a quiet statement, simple, straight to the point. For the past several minutes, he’s been staring at his phone, trying to decide whether to actually drop Alya’s number like she yelled at him to do.
Huh. How long did he keep Adrien waiting? He hopes it wasn’t too long.
“What?!” Adrien shouted, eyes blown wide as he was very obviously taken aback by the news. “Why?! Don’t you two love each other?”
“We… had a fight,” Nino admits, not really wanting to rehash the last 15 minutes of his study period. But Adrien was his best friend, and he was also Alya’s friend, and Nino wasn’t gonna blind side him by making him feel awkward about hanging out with one over the other. “Rose and I finished our project early during our study period, so I went to go look for Alya.”
He should probably thank Rose for pushing him into doing it, otherwise he wouldn’t have, and then it’d be too late to do anything. She did look worried about him, when she caught sight of him heading towards the restroom, but she was with Juleka who’s been looking really pale lately.
Rose definitely knew how the conversation with Alya was going to turn out, and while he is upset at her for that fact, he knows that it’s not actually her fault.
“Uh huh…” Adrien nodded, looking increasingly worried. “What’d you two talk about?”
“It was about Lila,” he breathed, and he could see Adrien perking up at the mention of the girl. It made him feel terrible, having to break the news that Adrien’s crush isn’t as great as everyone thinks she is.
“What… uh, what about her?”
Like ripping off a band-aid, he had to remind himself. Taking in a deep breath, then letting it go as he steeled his resolve.
“I told her that Lila’s been lying to us. To all of us,” he looked away, not wanting to see Adrien’s heartbroken face. “And Alya… she didn’t believe me. She accused me of still liking Marinette and that’s why I’m siding with her. Stuff about how…” his eyes burned with unshed tears. “Lila’s been telling her a bunch of lies. About how I’m always looking at Marinette when Alya wasn’t looking, that she thought she saw me talking to Marinette after school the other day, that I was standing really close to her, like we were gonna…”
Nino took in another breath, letting it out with a sigh, willing to keep the weight of the heartbreak off his shoulders. He didn’t want to deal with getting akumatized for the day — it always made him feel worse in the aftermath.
It’s already been a bad day.
“What…?” he regrets looking back at Adrien, seeing a look of horror crossing his friend’s face. He hopes it’s for the situation that Nino’s in and not because of Lila’s lies. He didn’t know if he could handle something like that so soon after the breakup with Alya.
“I didn’t expect it either,” he smiled wryly, feeling all the bitterness bubbling up in his chest before suppressing it with a tired chuckle. “I thought that maybe…” he shook his head, his vision blurring. “Well, I guess Lila’s lies were stronger than our relationship, stronger than everything we’ve been through together, apparently.”
And oh, did that admittance hurt. Alya chose to doubt him over Lila, choosing a liar over her own boy—ex-boyfriend. She didn’t want to hear him out, claiming that he wanted to cover his unfaithfulness by throwing Lila under the bus.
“Nino, I’m… I… I know that’s not true—”
“Thanks for believing in me,” Nino gave his best friend a pat on the shoulder. “But I kinda expected this would happen if I talked to Alya about it,” he shot Adrien a weak smile. “I know you like Lila, just… be careful, yeah? I just… I don’t want you getting hurt like I did.”
Adrien said nothing. Nino didn’t blame him. Poor guy was still in a state of shock from what Nino could tell. It did make him feel better, knowing that he still had Adrien on his side if not Alya.
“Thanks for not calling me delusional. I… I know I said that I’d come hang out with you and Kitty Section today, but uh… I’m… not really up for it right now,” he gave Adrien a side hug. “Kinda don’t want to be around anyone from school.”
Maybe he’ll stop by the Dupain-Cheng Bakery on his way home. He could really use the warm hugs he’d always get from Sabine and Tom, and maybe a warm, freshly baked chocolate croissant. They always knew how to make him feel safe and at home whenever he’s had a bad day, and maybe they might have some advice for the heartbreak and—
Ah shit, Nino was definitely crying now.
“See ya tomorrow, dude,” he tugged his cap down and headed off.
Breakups are the worst.

List of my fav mlb fanfics no one asked for:
(this is a very long list btw, and all links are to ao3. I try to include as many warnings as possible, but I may forget some so please read the tags before reading the fic.)
Baby Boom by ShawnaCanon
It’s about an akuma that causes everyone in Paris to… do the deed… (not graphic) and every woman to get pregnant. It somehow evolves into a timetravel fic-
400,000 words- def recommend for readers who are okay with vague references to sex.
https://archiveofourown.org/works/23034028/chapters/55083382
Dearly Despised (I Love You) by snacc-noir
Lovely fic. A nice take on the adrienette enemies to lovers trope, and it adds in some fake dating. Cn and Lb start out as (more or less) lovers in the beginning, and it evolves from there. It’s not a finished fic, but still, if you’re willing to wait then read.
73,000 words so far (I’ll update as time goes on) and 33 chapters- totally clean fic, I recommend if you love enemies to lovers trope.
(Last update on the fic was 10/20/2023)
https://archiveofourown.org/works/28711611/chapters/70393941
Turn Loose the Mermaids by bookskitten
WONDERFUL. That is all I have to say about this. One of my personal favorites for sure- it’s a mermaid au where Marinette is a siren hellbent on dragging the captain of a ship (who just so happens to be Adrien- aka Captain Noir)down to the depths of the ocean… but you know it won’t end that simply.
64,000 words- WARNING- GRAPHIC DEPICTIONS OF SEX. I do not recommend for anyone not comfortable with that sort of thing. But if you are, go read! I promise it’ll be worth your time.
https://archiveofourown.org/works/8238214/chapters/18879793
Cut My Life into Pieces, This is My Last Resort by Silver_fox_fyre
This was… an interesting one to say the least. In this, Marinette is at the end of the rope- struggling with being both Marinette and Ladybug. So, of course the logical decision would be to fake her own death. Well, Marinette’s death, that is. Be warned, some of the excuses are kind of a long shot (for instance, she fakes her own death by using the mouse miraculous- only she doesn’t actually have the costume, she just looks normal.)
114,000 words- completely clean- characters do fall asleep on each other like…once, but nothing happens. Some passionate kisses, but that’s all. Lots of violence though, and blood and gore are a given. Character death is included as well. I recommend for braver readers.
https://archiveofourown.org/works/44353420/chapters/111546223
In Case You Don’t Know Me Tomorrow by thelibraryloser
This one is… an interesting one at best, a strange one at worst. The idea itself is that this is a universe where you can pay to have your memories erased. (No plot spoilers there) everyone is aged up in this, maybe around 20, 25. Non-magical universe as well.
56,000 words- a good fic, I’ll say, but it is a bit weird and I got bored of it at times. But stick around to the end and you’ll be rewarded, I promise. Clean as well, don’t worry.

Miraculous Magic: First Year by spetember
*gasp* Is this- it is! The mlb/Harry Potter crossover you’ve all been waiting for!! Marinette and Adrien are 11 year olds who have just received their Hogwarts acceptance letters. They receive magical artifacts- and are told by Headmaster Fu that they must strive to defeat the Dark Lord Hawkmoth. They are 11, so while Mari does develop a crush for Adrien near the end of the fic, there isn’t much love. But honestly? I didn’t miss it. There’s so much action- I loved it. I’m thinking of writing spin-off fics about the other years, so if I do I’ll post the link in the reblogs.
58,000 words- wonderful. Simply wonderful. Mild violence, but no worse than the actual Harry Potter. Nothing related to love, as I mentioned. They are 11 after all. If you are in both the hp and mlb fandoms, I def recommend.
https://archiveofourown.org/works/11558436/chapters/25960689
Longest Night by P_Artsypants
Whump fic. Must I go on? Jokes aside, this fic is amazing. Marinette and Adrien are captured by some psychopath, and are tortured. I mean really tortured. Like I had to walk away at times it was so much- and this is coming from the person who regularly reads violence and smut. But if you can make it through, it’s a wonderful story. I don’t wanna spoil anything… but they do make it out alive. Well… kinda. I’ll let you read to find out.
210,000 words- Okay, I know I like to joke around a lot, but this time I’m serious. This is a very graphic fic which includes torture, and I mean real torture- not just the stuff you see on TV, but the stuff you see in R- rated horror movies. The fic actually references that the plot is similar to a horror film that actually got banned from almost every country in the world because it was so horrible. (The fic isn’t as bad as the film, but it is kinda horrifying.) Just for reference, here’s some torture tactics they use: Forced piercings, locked in a closet for a month, food loafs (a bunch of leftover food that’s baked with poison that makes you hallucinate) and.. well, there’s blood. I’ll just say that much. PLEASE use caution when reading, I will not say that again. For extremely brave readers only. Oh, and a side not- not completely clean. There is a sex scene at the end, which is skippable but if you are comfortable I would read it.

The Strings of Fate by sailortwilightt
OKAY BACK TO THE NICE FICS. This is actually a two-parter, and it’s nail-biting good. It’s a soulmate AU, naturally, where an invisible red string takes you to your soulmate. Please note that this is an older fic written before the more recent seasons, so Emilie, for example, is not dead. This also evolves into an alternate dimension AU, and it has a great plot.
120,000 words- counting both fics. As warnings go, there isn’t much to warn. It’s clean as far as smut goes, and, while there is definitely some graphic violence scenes, nothing too bad. I recommend for the reader who isn’t too bothered by the canon-fanon differences.

Miraculous Moves Underground by LadyDi1980
Okay, so I’m sure you’ve seen the post about this fic floating around. It’s a dancing au, which features the clashing worlds of ballet and hip-hop. Non-magical, but I didn’t miss it. Wonderful au, really, and I def recommend.
104,000 words- clean fic. No violence (except for a few slaps initiated and recieved by none other than Gabriel Agreste) and no smut. There are some songs and images that don’t work attached to the fox. So be prepared for some disappointment in that department. Also, the music is mostly BTS.

Blanks by DipStick45
For those of you who stayed around until the end, you’re amazing. This is my favorite fox by far, and it’s absolutely incredible. It’s a zombie apocalypse au, but it’s much more sophisticated than the usual zombies one. The actual word zombie isn’t used once in the fic. Oh and by the way, this fic made me cry. I have never cried from any book, tv show, or other fic in my life, but I cried in this one. Why? You’ll just have to find out!! Oh and also, this is only 2 chapters. Apparently they were doing a one-chapter challenge, but ao3 has a word limit for chapters. READ. I WILL PERSONALLY FORCE YOU.
103,000 words- okay so despite what I said- here are the warnings: major character death. I won’t say more for now. Violence. As expected, only times 10. Someone gets beheaded, another gets themselves split in half. The actual zombie bite’s effects are also quite graphic. There IS one smut scene, but it’s not detailed. And Adrien was high anyways. Oh yeah, alcohol use, and… I mean… they do describe the human body in some detail, but it’s not that bad. Chloe is insane, by the way, so there’s that. I think that’s it. If you’re okay with that, then read. I beg of you.
https://archiveofourown.org/works/43755576/chapters/110030079
And that’s it! I hope you enjoyed this very long list of fics! Lemme know what you think of them!

Honestly seeing all the posts unironically celebrating a child possibly killing his father, is deeply disturbing.
Instead of focusing on how Adrien possibly learning Monarch’s identity in the end and then realise that, not only he was fighting his own father all along, but actually almost killed him (or possibly damaged him for life) and the trauma his character could go through because of that, these out-of-touch people that treat Gabriel like he’s a real person, are celebrating by saying stuff like: “Adrien deserves to kill his father” or “we deserve to see Gabriel die”.
It’s ghoulish and cruel (and makes them just as bad as Gabriel, if not worse, since he’s fictional, therefore his actions are not his own, and they are real people).
The dynamic Adrien and Gabriel have, always reminded me of Vader and Luke. Both are father and son, a villain and a hero, but when in one fandom Luke and Vader’s story is celebrated for it’s lesson in compassion, in the MLB fandom there is no such empathy. All you get is a bunch of people (mostly adults) that can’t distinguish fiction from reality (take Gabriel’s action personally), should probably step back from this kids show (especially if it causes them so many destructive emotions) and that warps even the tiniest thing Gabriel does into “abuse” (ex: Adrien having a balanced and healthy alimentation = “he’s starving him!”). [What he does as Hawkmonth doesn’t count because he doesn’t know CN is Adrien. Also there are multiple instances where Gabriel gives up his powers when his son is caught in the crossfire (ex: Stlyle Queen), showing he does love Adrien and wants him to be safe, even if it means letting Emilie go (returning to his villainous ways is part of his descent into madness, has nothing to do with his love for Adrien). And episodes like “Chat Blanc” and “Ephemeral” are out, not only because they are a “what if”, making them irrelevant, but because a lot of the cast acts completely out of character, including Gabriel (but let’s be fair this happens constantly in the show)]
Yes, Gabriel changed and became emotionally distant after Emilie “disappeared” and that constitutes a type of abuse (I’m not condoning his actions), but he’s not the horrible father parts of the fandom want him to be (Audrey is so much worse). What we are now seeing in season 5 is not the real Gabriel, it’s him loosing his mind and being corrupted by power: "You used to do this for the love for Emilie, now you just do it for madness" (he’s clearly not the man he was in season 1 nor before the events of the show). He was never “Monarch”, he became like that with time. It’s called character development (something that rarely happens in this show, so I’m not surprised if some people are taken aback by it).
Don’t get me wrong, I get it, some people don’t like Gabriel and it’s fair. I’m the first to criticise and make fun of the guy, even if I like his character (I wanted to reach into the screen and smack him after “Evolution”). But the vitriol aimed at this fictional character, who’s been written (even if badly) as a “desperate man fallen from grace and corrupted with power” (again, like Anakin), is really exaggerated, like most hatred other characters recieve (even Ozai, who’s so much worse than Gabriel, never recieved so much hatred). Also the actual hate and abuse these real people throw to other human beings for not agreeing with them about a fictional character is really heinous, and I know I’ll probably get a couple of these lunatics’s “opinions” in the replies. To them: look at what you’re doing with your life and rethink it. Stop. Get help.
These reactions really make me wonder if MLB is the first and only show these people have ever seen. There are way more worse characters out there, that did way worst (ex: Gendo Ikari, Shou Tucker, Ozai, Palpatine, just to name a few).  In the end Gabriel is not real, what he did never happened and the show clearly makes him out to be in the wrong (he’s the villain), so no child watching the show will ever look up to him (unlike other characters who’s bad actions are framed to be “right”). I think the people that hate Gabriel to such a caustic degree need some professional help because clearly something else is going on in their life and I wish them a healthy recovery.
-
And if people wonder why I like Gabriel’s character, it’s because he, alongside Nathalie, are the only characters with actual development in this series. Therefore they’re the most interesting and compelling. Get a random episode from each season, everyone is the exact same except them. This is why, objectively, they’re the best the show has to offer (despite the occasional character assassinations... looking at you “Chat Blanc”, you absolute trainwreck).

What was your best and worst experience from entering the MLB fandom?
That's a good question. I'd say my best experience was my first year being a mod on the Miraculous Fanworks Discord server.
But I'd also say that my worst experience happened during that first year and involved quite a bit of drama.
I've since left the team for personal reasons, and left damaged trust in my wake, but the current team is doing an amazing job with keeping the server a safe, fun place for people to talk about MLB fanworks. Honestly, they're a better team than we ever were.
Thanks for asking and sorry about the meandering answer, haha!
What about you? What have been your best/worst experiences in the MLB fandom?

hello!!! welcome to my mixed bag of a tumblr account. my name is ophelia (like the hamlet character). i’m a 23 year old jewish romani trans lesbian.

Desdemona Demeter, 23, TSL, Spooky Witch -> Nature Witch -> (in the future probably Matriarch): Desdemona, or Mona for short, is a 6’4, fat romani icon. the best art of her that exists is by @alojzy-art. she’s a trans poly lesbian daughter of a goddess. she’s also the biggest failure i’ve ever played. she ruins every relationship she has, romantic or other. she got her surrogate father (who sacrificed himself to bring her back to life) to denounce her. i love her so much. she’s so perfect. all of my friends love and hate her. they doodle her for fun because she’s so loveable even though she’s also the absolute worst. she has several ships that i’m absolutely ravenous about. her childhood best friend Yllona (Ona). her first genuine girlfriend Willow (Willmona). and an AU ship with a different PC from a campaign i was not in named Integrity (Wet Dream lmao). wet dream is my second favorite ship, only beaten out by the throuple ship Wyllmona.
Nike De La Cour Kidd, 30, TSL, Legion: Nike Kidd is my pirate lesbian. she’s 5’, red headed, and disabled from a near death experience where she was saved by the sea monster she is destined to kill or die from. she’s been married once and while she never officially divorced her ex (the second in command of the royal navy, Coryn De La Cour), she’s started a new relationship with a fellow PC, Mercy. they’re fucking adorable and i love their ship Nicey a lot. nike is super stubborn, but she’s really full of love. she’s the best

Okay, I just finished rewatching the first season of Miraculous and I have some thoughts, but before that I need to complain
Why the fuck is the episode order Lika That? I initially set out to watch the episodes in production order rather than release order because I knew there was some funky stuff going on with the release order, only to find that the production order was also all fucked up ??? So I had to rely on someone on reddit who was kind enough to write down a chronological episode order for the first three seasons (and despite that, Origins ended up as the last two episodes of season 1 for some reason, although I am retroactively glad about that tbh, more on that later). Fortunately it looks like seasons 2 and 3 do just follow the production order so watching those will hopefully be easier
One of my main reasons I wanted to rewatch Miraculous and finish it is that I wanted to see if it was even a good kids show. Because while a lot of MLB fans and critics bring up good points about the missed potential of the show, it feels like a lot of them go about it from the perspective of adults or older teens who want to enjoy it as a piece of media that caters to them, rather than as the show for children it actually is (which isnt exclusive to this fandom, its just kinda a general tumblr thing but still). Its something that really bothers me about critiques of childrens media because yes, making something for a young audience isnt an excuse to make something bad, but you still need to apply different standards for kids media than you would for teen and adult media. What I mean by that is, just because a piece of media for children doesnt appeal to you, an adult, doesnt mean its bad, its just not for you.
So, Miraculous isnt well-written by the standards of media in general, but is it a good kids show? The first season, yes. Since Ive already watched seasons 2 and 3 and seen a lot of the spoilers for seasons 4 and 5, I know theres gonna be some problems and Im gonna run into some issues with my future critiques because it genuinely gets hard to tell what theyre even trying to do narratively and if theyre trying to appeal to the under 10 crowd like the first season or trying to become more mature and for tweens (10-12 year olds) as the series goes on, which are important things to consider when critiquing the show like this but Im gonna worry about that later
For now, yes, the first season is a good kids show.
The characters are pretty archetypical and Adrien is honestly pretty bland when hes not Cat Noir but theyre all ultimately pretty likable (or hatable in Chloe, Lila and to a lesser extend Kim's cases) and I like the diversity in Marinettes class, both in terms of ethnicity and in terms of bodytype. That being said, the designs of both the civilian characters and their akumatized versions are mediocre and personalityless at best and straightup awful at worst. For the akumatized villains I find it kinda weird that theres not really a consistent style to them. Some of them, like Stormy Weather, Lady Wi-Fi and Evillustrator, practically have the same color scheme, some of them, like Stormy Weather, Puppeteer and Reflecta, have the vibes of magical girl anime villains, some of them, like Timebreaker, Simon Says and Rogercop, seem like villains you'd find in a western comic book series etc. And it really doesnt feel like its because of the personality of the akumatized or because of their feelings when they got akumatized, it feels like its just kinda random every time and Im not a big fan of that. Marinettes Ladybug suit is really bland and I dont like how much emphasis it puts on her underage body especially since this a show claims to be empowering to young girls while Adriens Cat Noir suit looks fine i guess, just kinda generic for a black cat superhero. I dont think it'll ruin the experience for any kid watching the show but to me stuff like this is a pretty big display of carelessness, especially considering fashion is so important with Marinette wanting to be a designer and the main villain being a world renowed fashion designer.
The animation is pretty good for TV cgi though and I actually found the fight scenes very engaging and fun, I think kids who like action would really enjoy them
After watching seasons 2 and 3, I was honestly very surpised to see that Marinettes crush on Adrien and her awkwardsness around him was actually pretty cute and endearing initially. Like yeah, shes a bit of a weirdo about it but shes not like, a stalker and her awkwardness feel like an appropriate level of over the top-ness for an animated kids show and its definitely a far cry from the cringy, unecessarily slap-sticky shit I remembered, so that was nice. The writing in general was far less juvenile and trying-too-hard-to-be-funny, except for Hawk Moth. Now, theyre not trying too hard to make him funny, theyre actually trying to do the opposite, but hes just impossible to take seriously with his cringy lines every time he goes to akumatize someone. I think it would be better if the sequence of him sending the akuma out was silent, like we the potential victim get angry, cut to Hawk Moth smirking and doing his thing with the akuma in silence, then we see the victim get akumatized and talk to Hawk Moth except we dont hear him so its one-sided. But like with the character-design stuff, i dont think this will ruin the show for the kids but I do think making the main villain more mysterious and scary would be an improvement.
One of the big ways that the show fumbles imo are the lessons. Like, lets take Stormy Weather; the girl (I forgot her name sry) gets akumatized because she lost the vote to become weather girl and went on this huge rampage taking her anger out on everyone. From that description alone I would assume that the lesson of the episode would be about being a sore loser and how you cant always win in life so you shouldnt get so angry when you lose and that lesson would be taught by our Paragon of Goodness Ladybug, but its not. Ladybug doesnt talk to her about being a sore loser and has one of those 'say the moral outloud' kids media-moments, she just gets de-evilized and seems too exhausted to be angry anymore and thats how that ends. The actual lesson, the one that Marinette needs to learn, is how to say no to things and that its okay to accept help and not burden yourself with responsibility so much. And thats a good lesson but its so disconnected from the bulk of the episode in a way that it really shouldnt be
Im also suprised that a show with this premise doesnt have more conclusion-scenes where, after Ladybug saved the day, Marinette goes up to the akumatized person and tries to cheer them up. Like, a lot of the people who get akumatized are pretty much strangers to her so I get why she doesnt go up to those (although I still think she could spare some encouraging words for them in her Ladybug suit considering the experience they just went through), but a lot of them are her classmates and it would demonstrate why Marinette is a good Ladybug, whether shes transformed or not. As it stands, there are episodes where she is that Paragon Of Goodness that teaches other people lessons and episodes where shes just clumsy impulsive Marinette who needs to learn how to be more confident and responsible. That might be intentional, but because the villains and Marinette in civillian form are so disconnected, I dont think the dichotomy here works very well.
And the thing is, she actually does reach out the akuma victim as Marinette in Origins. Honestly, most of the issues I named arent present in Origins, with the exception of Hawk Moth being hard to take seriously; Adrien actually has an endearing personality when not Cat Noir and you understand why Marinette likes him so much, Marinette and her civillian persona feel less disconnected from the Ladybug stuff because she actually talks to Ivan and her learning to be more confident as a heroine helping her become more confident and assertive in her daily life is really good, even if the lessons of "talk honestly about your feelings" and "be more confident and have faith in yourself" arent directly connected either (although still arguably more than the two lessons in Stormy Weather)
Origins as a whole is a far better episode than any other season 1 episode and really feels likethe set-up for a far better and more interesting show. I really think the main thing holding this entire season back is the fact that its episodic and we didnt get to see Marinette and Adrien develop as heroes or anything else, we just kinda smashcut to their 'default' dynamics and while we can ultimately guess how those dynamics ended up developing from Origins onwards, we really shouldnt have to guess, we shouldve seen it because it wouldve been fun and interesting and the show would be much better.
Considering the fact that they jump straight into serialization with season 2 and european cartoons having continuity is pretty common, I have no idea why they would start out episodic like this when all it does is drag the series down. My best guess is that they were trying to imitate popular american cartoons at the time, which usually started with the first season being entirely episodic and then having a big season finale that changes the status quo in some major way before it continues in a more serialized format. But why they did it doesnt really matter, all that matters is that the show is worse for it, although definitely not bad or unsalvagable. This is a very solid start for what couldve been a great show, but just kinda ended up being pretty bad instead
Thats it, thanks for reading

Can't wait until your liveblog for MLB s4 especially ephemeral episode since that's the episode that people said to be the proof of adrien being a sentimonster. I'm curious to see your opinion. 👁️👁️
Okay, this is another case of: "I thought I'd made a post about that but I guess not."
Basically, my bro and I decided to put the Miraculous Ladybug liveblog on hiatus until the Sentimonster matter is definitely resolved. Because, here's the thing: if I watch season four and then season five drops SentiAdrien as canon, I will start to resent the show. As long as I don't actually watch season four, I can pretend the show just got cut short while it was still awesome and the finale was when Ladybug became the Guardian if worse comes to worst.
From what I've seen from clips and analysis, season four is not as fun for me and my bro as seasons 1-3 were. When we started to watch the show we thought we knew what we were getting. We wanted dumb fun superhero action and we love Adrien. Season four still has some of that, but that's clearly not what the show wants to put actual weight on anymore and Adrien is getting shafted from a narrative perspective. Surprise Magical Slavery with Adrien as the slave would just be too much at this point.
There's maybe a handful of episodes from season four we'd actually really want to watch and none of them are plot-important episodes. If we sunk more time and effort into liveblogging this show instead of something we actively enjoy like He-Man, and then SentiAdrien dropped, we would consider that time wasted. We'll probably get back to Miraculous if the matter of the Rings is resolved to our satisfaction, but we won't even consider that until we get a definitive answer. I already dreaded every time a new episode dropped during the second half of season four's initial run through the fandom and I knew I had to see more speculation on something that could ruin the show for me. I don't want to try commentating on the episodes while this Sword of Damocles hangs over my head.
I'm still doing Miraculous meta, especially Kwami Compatibility, and I have a bunch of really good asks on that topic to go through so I hope you guys will enjoy it!

MLB Season 4 Character Analysis: "Psycomedian"
Introduction
Hey everyone, I'm back with another character analysis. In this series, I try my best to go in depth about the emotions, motivations and thought processes of the characters of MLB in every individual episode of season 4 to help clear the misunderstandings the fandom has about the characters and today we're onto episode 5.
This episode was the first filler episode of the season and ever since the English dub of "Mr. Pigeon 72", I've been waiting for the episode to come out in English dub so that I can watch the rest of the season and I didn't care whether or not it was filler because I really wanted to stick to the sequence this season and when the episode came out, it was pretty good and I enjoyed it a lot. Despite it being filler, it does have some character moments for both Marinette and Adrien I want to cover. I apologize if the images for this episode are of bad quality because the gallery for this episode on the wiki didn't have screenshots from the whole episode so I had to get my own from YouTube.
Character POVs
Marinette/Ladybug
"It was a total disaster, the worst day of my life! Adrien didn't laugh once, he must've thought I was so lame!"
Starting off with Marinette, we see her trying to find out a way to get Adrien to notice her as she believes that she has to be perfect for Adrien to like her and when he saw Adrien laughing at what seemed to be a video of Harry the Clown she thought that she would have to be funny to impress him and takes tip from Harry himself who happened to be at her parents' bakery and after Harry taught her some of his tricks, she went to try and act funny in front of Adrien, guided by Harry but the attempt backfired and instead made things really awkward between which caused her to run away in embarrassment.
When Harry got akumatized into Psycomedian, she put her feelings aside as usual to stop him. After his defeat, Marinette decided to go and settle things with Adrien after being encouraged to be herself by Tikki. When she found out that it was actually her Adrien was laughing at and not Harry, she was both flattered and glad.
2. Harry
"But I'm not doing this for the money! When I was a kid, I dreamed of being a superhero..."
Moving on to the akumatized villain of this episode: Harry the Clown, a man who wants to be able to speak to his audience in a way other than comedy. Sure, his ideas sounded comedic but deep down, he desperately wanted to tell a story about drama and action rather than comedy and when the heartless producer, Bob Roth turned them down it hurt him badly which caused him to become vulnerable to Shadow Moth and become Psycomedian, a supervillain with the ability to make anyone who looks at his face feel the emotion his face is showing as long as he honks his nose.
After he is defeated, he tells Ladybug and Cat Noir of how much he wants to write a story that touched peoples' hearts instead of making them laugh and Ladybug makes him feel better by saying that joy is a great emotion to make people feel and it is also the hardest emotion to create.
He is also shown to be a kind and understanding person through helping Marinette to make her crush laugh by showing her his tips and tricks.
3. Adrien/Cat Noir
"No, I don't think anyone can make me laugh more than Marinette Dupain-Cheng."
While Adrien didn't have any real character moments this episode he did say something that will be important to his story moving forward: that is that no one can make him laugh more than Marinette. So far we've already seen Adrien's relationship with Kagami crumble in "Lies" and more of his relationships will crumble in future episodes but the one relationship that will remain stable is his relationship with Marinette.
Conclusion
So that's the end of my character analysis for this episode, I hoped you enjoyed reading it. As always, let me know if I missed something for this analysis.

The Polins are in complete meltdown that their fan week hasn't been acknowledged by Netflix or the official Bridgerton account, they actually believe that they are OWED something for Polin week.
Here is a comment I saw on their sub which sums up the entitlement they all seem to feel about it:
"Fr, I keep seeing all these comments like “they don’t owe it to us since it’s a fan made event” but like?? The book literally opens with April 6th as the day Pen fell in love, so I think we’re owed some promo. Especially since it’s THEIR season"
You would think that this may give them pause, and have them reflect on the Kanthony promo, but know, they just act like it is all their due. I will admit not to having been in many fandoms, but I don't think I have seen a more entitled group of fans than these Polin fans.
I've been in loads of fandoms over the years, but Polin's imo are among the worst of fandoms I have been a part of.
Bridgerton & Netflix are/were NEVER going to acknowledge a fanmade event. They're not even aware that this event exists I promise you that.
They don't know about Saphne, Kanthony or Polin week. Nor do they care.
And them thinking they'll get a trailer tomorrow, April 6th.... Won't happen. Productions don't drop trailers on weekends. Mostly b/c people aren't home/online on weekends as much to get attention/traffic they want/need for their shows/movies.
The ONLY time trailers would drop on weekends would be during big games like: Super Bowl, other big football games, NBA finals, MLB games, etc. OR during like award shows. And awards show season is over.

Which mlb and lmk character would be besties? Which mlb and lmk character would be enemies?
I think all of the main cast would be friends, or at least get along, with the main MLB people. I think the only people they would hate, besides the actual villains like Hawkmoth and such, would be Chloe, Felix, and Lila(the antagonists.
I haven't watched the show since Lila had first been introduced, so I only know about Felix through my random fixations on the characters. I'm not the biggest fan of the show to be real. But I literally hate Lila! She's the worst. Garbo character. Now Chloe, I like her character or at least until they ruined her. Leaving off of fandom redeemed Chloe and mean but not bratty Chloe honestly. I've seen clips of later era Chloe and guys, it ain't it.
Anyway, back on topic, I think the characters that would be actually besties would be Mei and Marinette and Adrien and MK. I want Marinette to have an actual good friend—because canon Alya kinda sucks—and I think MK natural state would bring out the Chat Noir vibes in Adrien; which I want for him. They would info dump to each other about their special interests

You know i cant help but feel like the reason there are hardly any fan theories in the mlb community is because everyone's so busy hating the show, and saying how they would change it etc, like that's literally what fanfiction is for. Or even better, if you don't like the way a show is playing out, make a story that you like. Like seriously mlb isn't even that bad. You know what was bad? Star vs the Forces of Evil. Y'all over here complaining about the direction of a story not going where you wanted it to go or not liking a character because x y and z etc etc. None of you know suffering. None of you know the absolutely decimating pain and anguish that is the svtfoe series finale. The last two seasons of a show that probably should have ended after the battle of mewni. The show with lore on top of lore that inevitably was destroyed because of shipping. Do you wanna know the worst part? Svtfoe was one of the best shows at the time, with a pretty decent fanbase (especially compared to su but we wont talk about that) and it is one of the biggest inspirations for me wanting to become a storyboard artist/character designer/something within that range of things. The painfully anticlimactic ending as well as the flat last two seasons was true agony for the soul. The only thing that kept me sane was my newfound conviction to create a better story out of spite.
Like seriously maybe it's because i only recently got into ladybug, but I can't help but feel like a majority of the fandom does not realize how good they have it.
Oh well. If nothing else the lack of fan theories has forced me to do digging on my own, and holy shit there is so much the fandom is overlooking because they're too focused on either shipping, or saying how they don't like x plot point. Like just the lore is really freaking intricate, and is embedded so deeply in the show.
Sometimes when i read peoples complaints, i wonder if we're even watching the same show. I will say in my opinion, the biggest problem mlb has is its pacing is horrendous. Also a lot of episodes need to be watched more than once to really be enjoyed. That is a huge failure that you never see anyone complain about. (Probably because im the only one crazy enough to watch these episodes over and over until my teeth fall out 🤡) if anything the fact that no one co.plains about it kinda proves my point. The episodes are written off as bad and or mildly entertaining, because on first watch they really are not good. But then when you rewatch them you notice things, they start to become good. Like no. Bad move writing team.
Anyways I'm just ranting to myself now. Soap box done.

i think if I made a poll tournament I’d make a specific mental rule for no characters from XYZ media. mlb owl house amphibia adventure time etc. this isn’t because I hate them (I’ll plead the fifth on that) but because their fandoms are so rabid that any poll with one of their characters gets shared around the fandom and instantly swamped and it’s not any fucking fun. this is about the worst character comp among others.
