Luke Newton has no sex appeal. Why are they trying to make Colin sexy? Polin should be a cute friends-to-lovers romcom, not a “steamy” enemies-to-lovers romance. Shondaland sure loves to steal tropes from Kathony to make bland Polin a more interesting couple.
Like, I get the need to make him not a virgin. B/c no offense, but that's not sexy.
But this need to make him some heartthrob sexy dude who frequents brothels, when Polin is a sweet friends to lovers story is very strange.

If the rumors are to believed & Colin doesn't find out about LW's identity until AFTER he marries Penelope, wouldn't that taint the relationship in the eyes of objective viewers? Polin stans are gonna eat it up regardless. But for everyone else, I'm pretty sure that would paint the relationship in an unfavorable light. I know Pen is Shonda's fave but I think she might actually hate her if we're being honest. Why would you ruin your beloved ship that way?
I don't know if that's a rumor but I know that's my theory/belief. Lol. Maybe it's a rumor now b/c I theorized it? Lol.

I'm always puzzled by Penelope's fans who blame others for being fatphobic whenever someone criticizes her, despite the criticism coming from the fact that she is objectively a bitch, and not from anything related with her body. Her fans are the ones who call her fat when the actress herself doesn't want to be called that. Moreover, they don't care that the character they associate with her weight has been turned into some angry girl who takes her frustration out on others. This is perhaps the most stereotypical portrayal the authors could have given Penelope
It's because, and this is my opinion anon.... That the 'ya'll are fatphobic!', argument they throw around is the only line of defense they have for their terrible fave.
Think about it, she's not a WOC, she's not disabled of any kind, she's not poor, and she comes from a titled and wealthy family in a posh part of London. (who yes, faced financial difficulties, but even Pen herself was never poor b/c of how much money LW makes her)
So they throw that argument out there when we call their fave out on all the shitty things she's done in hopes of making everyone look like a villain for calling a privileged white woman out on her shit.

What the hell is going on with media security, I follow several fandoms of popular TV shows, sure, there may be leaks, but not at the scale of the Bridgertons
If you're referring to that 'spoiler' account from yesterday.... It was debunked by people both on Twitter & Reddit saying it was fake info. Especially the Benedict stuff I guess,
Some are speculating that it came from a Polin b/c a lot of the 'spoilers' that pissed people off were about Benedict, Kanthony & Fran and that it might've been a Polin just wanting to piss people off b/c no one was talking about their faves.
It's very on brand for Polin's tbh. Just like when they threw a hissy fit b/c Benedict's promo did better than both Colin & Penelope's.

Hey there - so sorry to hear you’re going through it today. Hard relate, I have also been burning out with personal stuff on top of fandom drama. Give yourself some peace and walk away from/delete anything that doesn’t feel joyful.
You can delete this without a response if you feel it’s spoilery, but I wanted to confirm the thing from X about Colin writing erotica. Yes and no. Pen does read his travel journal like in the book, and it says something like “nights spent with beautiful women, with warm skin and shimmering eyes”. Very PG-13 and it lasts like 30 seconds, it’s not a big focal thing. Once again - they fail to make Colin interesting 😅

Your blog helps so many people deal with all the -isms and overall stupidity that comes out of the Bridgerton production room.
I know people may read this and think “it’s just a show”, but it’s a worldwide phenomenon so obviously many people resonate with the show to some degree, and it’s hard watching it devolve from 8 siblings to one bully who gets all the screen time. However, your little blog has been a corner of venting and also hope for so many people, and I cannot imagine how many evil asks you get daily from crazy fans, but please know I love reading your blog every day because it gives me solace. I thankfully, don't get as many 'evil asks' as I used to when I first started this blog. But it is still really overwhelming for me in a different way. I get a lot of anons in here frustrated, etc and while I obviously don't mind listening and responding. It's still a lot for me and when fandom drama breaks loose, this blog becomes a hot spot for people to come and rant/vent even more.
And b/c I'm always listening to other people rant/vent, I don't get that same opportunity b/c I have to try and be fair, etc.
I already have a lot going on personally for me, so it's just been... I've been really overwhelmed today and I had a bit of a breakdown b/w my personal shit and the fandom shit that also exploded simultaneously.
It wasn't pretty for me and I'm still trying to get my head back together tonight if that makes sense.

Hi! I wish you fell better and found a little peace.
Lately I've been feeling kind of overwhelmed and with so much info that it stresses me out more than usual.
I don't know about you, but it's kind of addictive and hard to stop looking through all social media for me. And I end up learning the hard way when I'm not in my best place.
Know that this comes from a good place. I sometimes find it good to disconnect for a few days from all, and then I come back and I'm good to be online.
Again, for me it's kind of addictive and Bridgerton lately and all the info and the freaking out of everyone doesn't help me at all.
I'm a follower of your blog and I hope you feel better soon.

OP, I never know how you do it anyway. You listen to us bitch and moan and you take it all in stride, so I must commend you for that. This type of thing can certainly take a toll on you, especially if real life rears its ugly head. Hopefully, you can start feeling better soon. I'm in a really bad mood today/tonight guys so IDK if I'll answer anymore asks tonight or not.
I've been dealing with a lot personally lately already/still and with all the insane fandom shit/drama today it just put me in a worse mood than I already was. (No I didn't believe any of that shit that account posted b/c guess what.... They deactivated their account) but everyone had a meltdown about it and was in this inbox talking about it and it just made my anxiety/mood worse.
It would help my mood immensely if ya'll could drop nice things in the inbox to cheer me up b/c I'm just.... I really have not had a good day today at all.
