It makes me sick thinking about how Scar betrayed Skizz and took so many hearts off of him because of a task, and Big B thought that was irredeemable. THEN, he turned around and sent Skizz to Jimmy, KNOWING it was unsafe. AND SKIZZ STILL FORGAVE HIM AND STUCK BY HIM, EVEN WHEN JIMMY TRIED TO GIVE HIM AN OPPORTUNITY TO GET REVENGE. Lord have mercy. So much gay tension oh my gaw.

Martyn's been making a lot of references to having doglike features (tail wagging, ears pricking etc.) in recent videos so we can easily say he has at least dog ears and a tail in cannon

You know who else has dog features?

We've seen they can spread through BigB and it's easy to assign him to the werewolf category.

Werewolves can use their bite to infect others.

What happened just before Martyn made all these references?

HE VISITED HERMITCRAFT

Ergo, it is my personal theory that when Martyn visited hermitcraft he and Ren had a "moment" (as they do) and Ren bit him (in a totally straight just bros being pals way/sar) thus bringing the 'Big Dogs' into reality

Now that Secret Life has ended (no spoilers here, dw), have an AU idea that's been worming around in my brain for a while.

So it takes place in a quaint little suburban neighborhood, and everyone in there is a mythical creature/monster of some sort. The Big Dogs are Werewolves, the Heart Foundation are vampires, Gem and the Scotts are sirens, the roomies are witches, Lizzie is a Dryad, and I'm still debating on what Scar is (just a human, a fae, idk)

And then a new set of neighbors move in: Mumbo, Joel, Pearl, and BDubs. So the neighborhood starts speculating on what they are: Are they a bunch of cryptids? Are they also vampires? Or are they fae?

But nope. Turns out they're all human. Just really, REALLY weird humans.

And shenanigans ensue. Some funny, some scary, some sad, but the weirdo humans eventually get accepted into their funky neighborhood dynamic.

I'm planning on making a bunch of one-shots on Ao3 about it, so hopefully I can expand on this idea a bit more.

Martyn knows from the start that it won't last. 

When he looks at Jimmy, dancing flares in his eyes, and wants so desperately to grab his hand that he digs his nails into his own palm instead. He knows, in all the jokes they make, that everything is numbered, each laugh counted and added up in the cracks of bones that never reach their chests. 

He knows at night, too, when he forgoes sleep next to Jimmy on their single bed and listens to the sounds of the doomed world outside. Even in the silence, he can hear it when he cannot hear anything at all. 

Time, time is precious, too much and not enough, this will end.

It does, of course it does, and nothing surprises him less. After all the deaths that his preceded by a hair's breadth, he thought, hoped that maybe—but no, these worlds always take their own, Jimmy is proof of that, Lizzie in a twisted way now, too, he supposes. They all are, really, and nothing has ever made sense more and less all at once. 

He still has to catch his breath in BigB's Backrooms, and then again when he's on the surface and the wither has just been killed and everyone is laughing, they're laughing, and before he knows it it's been a week, two, and he's still catching his breath, looking over at the lonely dog on a lonely mountain and wishing for something—anything. 

He needs, he needs—and so he goes around the server, doing things purposefully with no real aim, as though if he makes his presence large enough, it will cover up the two gaping holes at his sides. He takes and he takes and he takes and does not stop until—

He does not stop. 

He slows down eventually, when the sky is dark and he's barked his lungs out, it seems like, and the very air itself can tell that they're not long, now, none of them are. Baxter is empty, as his hands, his head, his heart, but for a faint barking outside that disappears as soon as he strains his ears to hear it. 

He sits down. Looks at the chests and lets out a long sigh that tapers off into something aching, broken. 

"I'm so tired, guys."

Jimmy is a golden retriever (duh) and Martyn is a Shiba Inu (kinda big dog?)

And the designs I made before episode 3 where Jimmy is his usual canary self and Martyn is just the most wet of cats. Plus furries

Trying out yet another art style with a quick attempt at Baxter

Big dogs/property police au where Jimmy ane Martyn found this dog-human child named Baxter in a box and decided to adopt him. They then became baxter's dads, martyn moved in with Jimmy, and then married him.

Baxter was a dog-boy-human thing, but both of his dads are regular humans, to make him feel more comfortable, jimmy and martyn started wearing dog ears & tail.

Baxter didn't know he was adopted though, his dads are both blonde, they both are 'dog-humans', one of his dads have brown eyes like he does, so he didn't suspect a thing,

Baxter reminded martyn of ren, his.. boyfriend who went missing. Whenever he sees Baxter he could only see ren, and he wants to protect him, make sure he didn't dissappear like ren did.

Jimmy on the other hand, manage to pull two guys. He was married to one of them before, but it was for business purposes, though the guy he was married to eventually fell for him. They got divorced after the business deal ended, but the guy still have eyes for him. The next guy was his former roomate, they grew to like each other, LIKE like each other, they went on dates before, but before they could make it official, Jimmy had found Baxter.

Jimmy was Martyn's ex, they tried it out before, but it didn't work out, they did stay best friends though. But they're married now, how ironic, but but the past doesn't really matter, martyn is (and was always) fond of Jimmy.

I've been missing them again. So we have a Colin!Martyn and Reindeer!Jim

Was thinking about Jimmy and Martyn being the Property Police in Evo, and then Martyn making the Big Dogs also be the Task Force as the first yellows in Secret Life. And then I remembered Jimmy was also the sheriff in Empires season 2 (and hey, what do you know, he brought Martyn on to be the Old Sheriff too). And it just got me thinking about how it's kind of funny that Jimmy keeps making himself a member of law enforcement and his server mates then proceeding to hold no respect for his self-made position of authority.

been thinking abt a fully fleshed out mercenary au since i posted that oneshot for sixth day of christmas so.... heres a drabble

jimmy and martyn are, ofc, human mercenaries who call themselves the big dogs so they can seem scarier than they really are. theyre mostly homeless theres a rumour abt a witch who lives in the woods and everyone thinks its lizzie but when they show up shes like "oh no thats scar!" and points to her very eccentric and flamboyant neighbor who lives across the river. scar looks NOTHING like a witch but when you go in, you come back out with exactly the potion you wanted, several others you didnt actually need, significanctly less money than what you went in with, and absolutely no memory of actually being inside and making the purchase. hes incredibly suspicious but godDAMN do his potions and crystals work well skizz owns a building plaza named the heart foundation where he rents out sections to people for their stores (yk like those buildings that are connected stores?? i really hope this makes sense). tango is his assistant as well as bigb but bigb is super weird and disappears a lot. tango was the one to suggest the coffee shop idea that martyn overheard. skizz is an angel and tango is an imp lizzie and scar own one of the spaces where they sell very normal things like farm produce and things that would usually be hard for the other members of the community to get like amethyst and food enchanted with elven magic. as well as very specific bones lizzie has found (no, she will NOT tell you where she got them, yes they are organic, she declines to answer if they are ethically sourced). scar is an elf which is why he's able to sell elven enchanted food. the roomies own one of the store spaces and mostly sell wool products but theyve started farming cotton in hopes of expanding their market. they live together on a farm with a fence covered in vines surrounding it so the animals can wander about sometimes. since they sell wool products, they have a lot of sheep, so when they need the sheep back in their pen they hire mercenaries to do it for them. cleo is the only zombie in the community and, while grian was mentioned as an avian in the oneshot, hes actually going to be a fae. everyone thinks etho is a human but he barely leaves home so cleo and grian are the only ones who know for sure whether or not he is gem is the girl who just moved in with the dream of starting a band. she ends up with an imp and an angel both named scott and they call themselves gem and the scotts. they rent one of skizz's spaces for a studio and gem lives in the apartment above it. impulse, scott the imp, lives in a cave, and scott the angel lives in a cottage on the edge of the woods (so not as far in as lizzie and scar) the mounders live in 4 big old creepy houses that look completely different on the inside than they do outside. its also a 'gated' community but they dont care enough to enforce it. mumbo and pearl are both vampires, bdubs is a fae, and joel is an elf. ren is also around to add more people to their little community even tho this uses the alliances made in secret life. he lives in a smaller house a little ways away from scott's cottage. he seems human enough but theres a rumor that he's a werewolf. no one really knows what bigb and lizzie are, scott even introduces them to gem as the 'suspicious weirdos' and cleo and grian joke that not even they know what they are.
