Favorite papyrus headcannon
ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh there's a lot. there's a ton. favorite is a strong word. but in my mind he's very ace and that's really important to me. maybe that's my favorite.
i also like the idea that it isn't nightmares but rather extreme loneliness and sadness that keeps him from sleeping properly. i know i don't feel like sleeping when my mind is grabbed on to the idea that no one likes me and no one ever will but that's ok, there has to be a way to make that ok, if i work really hard it won't matter, i can't do anything about it so i shouldn't look at it. also if he had someone to cuddle he'd be out like a light, guaranteed. ok that was more than one favorite, THANK YOU so much for the ask!!!

As they continued on their journey, they were visited from above. "Such a cold, cold day to travel, wouldn't you agree? Where are you going?" asked the crow. The Batman looked at the Snow Queen before he answered, "I'm still not quite sure." He looks up at the black crow soaring over their heads before it lands on his shoulder.
The crow hopped excitedly, unable to keep its secret. "I know, I know!" exclaimed the crow. "What you're looking for is up ahead at the Ice Palace. Just wait, just wait," said the crow. "First let me tell you a story. There's a man who would do anything to save the one he loved. But now he is the one who needs saving." Growing impatient, the Batman asked, "Is this who we're looking for?" "Could be, could be. See for yourself," answered the crow. "But you'll never get inside." With the taunted warning, the crow flies away.
Before them towered the palace in all its icy splendor. Giant stalagmite columns rising up to touch the sky. Walls formed by drifted snow and window slats cut from the cold winds. A fortress of impenetrable ice. Their final destination. And well guarded! Batman and The Snow Queen stand outside the magnificent castle before being ambushed by guarding dragons. They fight ferociously against Batman and, despite his bravery and efforts, he is unable to weaken them. The Snow Queen gently lays her hand on his shoulder, making him stop and to ponder.
The Batman grew weary and unable to defeat the monsters before him. But her soft touch caused him pause. She didn't bring him all this way to lose him. There was another way...
He stands with his new icy armor. He carries a giant shield and dons a protective helmet to block the monsters' attacks before throwing the frigid spear at them. The narration continues, When he struck them, the beasts shattered, breaking into a hundred pieces. She could now safely enter the palace with her guest by her side.

#love when there's direct parallels between bruce and the villains he stands against#the constant reminder that there is no good people or bad people. just people that are capable of doing either#harvey is the most obvious example of just unfair luck and circumstances. the ache of knowing what could of been instead#and if you believe in fate - what never would had been. doomed from the start instead of spontaneous act of tragedy#but victor is also such a good example of that extremity for love and what happens when its ripped from you.#hated the recent story where they make him abusive and controlling instead because theyre too afraid to make villains sympathetic.#but thats another post for another day lol. anyways i think one of the bats should be allowed to have a pet crow. its dramatic and funny#also a reminder of how the story started with 'a man lost in a storm and another who searched for him'... its bout to come up >:3#c: batman tales: once upon a crime | the snow queen#crypt's panels#batman#transcrypts

I was reading your tags on that one post about how you wish you could cull your follower count and uh… would it help if I unfollowed? I know I’m just one person but I thought I’d offer just in case….
oh, please dont do that! its very sweet of you to offer, but genuinely don't worry about it :]
I think a significant chunk of my follower count is things like bots or abandoned accounts, especially remnants from when i first joined, or people who followed me for fandoms and then ignore everything else i ever post (not that thats a complaint, mind you)
Also something that comes with having a large following is that some people who follow me will put me on a pedestal, and then try to make a big stink out of not 100% aligning with me, or people will outright be scared/intimidated by me, or they will think that because I have a large following they can just be mean or hold me to arbitrary standards or are entitled to things i post, its all honestly just really tiring. With the passing of time ive gotten a bit more harsh in setting my boundaries with these things, and i shut them down asap
and my following isnt even THAT huge, either. I cannot imagine what it must be like at higher numbers. I hope i never find out

its kind of a difficult situation, in general. I dont want to seem ungrateful, but numbers have a big hold on people, and ive generally found im much happier just considering myself a guy who posts things for a bunch of fellow freaks who enjoy it

like the wu ming reveal was all very nice but since this all happened nearly a thousand years before the events of books 1, 3, and 5 its like...okay? everything about their relationship in the flashback I either found creepy or didn't care about 😭 ik some fans like the idea of a character so loyal he's willing to destroy a whole country on the word of his god slash crush but umm I do not! also hc disguising himself as the child who was hanging out with xl was so weird why did he do that. age gap creepiness aside it was just stupid and eliminated a chatacter I was really excited about. and it pissed me off when he kicked qyz off the sedan chair like let him sit!!! his single-minded focus on xl got so so old and his insistence on inserting himself everywhere was intrusive and annoying! to me. got real tired of his 'fuck everyone else I got dianxia' mindset. immature. annoying. and unfair
#lwj is reserved and cool to strangers but hes not actively malicious or sadistic#he cares about his family and home and students and music#he does ignore ppl more than I'd like but hes not actively dismissive like hc often is#a small moment from the book I liked was when he first encountered 'mxy' he nodded respectfully in acknowledgement#obvi this doesnt mean mdzs or the writing for him isnt homophobic. it is. it has its own issues.
