hi hi ! this is the admin of xhqs, yumi (i play ain and naeun in the group.) sending this msg because someone in the rp sent me this blog and i’m a little alarmed at the severity of some things that were said. but more than that, i’m worried that this might be making members of the rp anxious or worried. i personally don’t mind people thinking what they would like of a situation and i won’t argue with anyone’s opinions, but i do want to clarify some messages i think need clarification or… are just straight up lies, sry.

- to clarify, i don’t engage with blogs like this as i personally find them… pointless? which is why i’m sending this mssg off anon. i can honestly say that i’ve never submitted anything to this blog or asked anyone to submit anything to defend me or to the rp. everyone is entitled to their own opinions !

- i’m not sure who the “admin’s friends” being referred to here is as i started the rp knowing like 3 out of 20+ muns. 2 of them are the discord admins/event mods who help write for the rp. i play naeun, one of three triplet skeletons, and i didn’t know the writers for either of her sisters when i applied for her. it was suggested to me that people might think i’m in the “hansung clique” but i dont really know who that is because i was never in hansung.

- for the student teacher relationship, i really dont know what to say about that. that’s the rp lore. i thought it added an extra layer of bitterness to the plot that mutants had to hide away so young that they were robbed of normal experiences like going to school, and so they emulated those missed normal life experiences inside the institute. this is not something i made up on the fly - and i thought i had made it clear in the pages, but as evidenced by questions i had received, i was wrong. so, i quickly constructed that wall of text about students and teachers to clarify my thoughts and my intention for the storyline. but if any members are uncomfortable with this, i encourage you to approach me about this !! we can easily easily remove these titles and change this part of the lore as this is not crucial to the structural integrity of the plot.

- re: my character “having the hots” for a teacher. this is the exact transcript of that chat. a is the person who was removed from the rp because members complained they were uncomfortable with the teacher-student remarks, b is me. there was another person in this conversation but i won’t mention them as their comments were not crucial to the conversation and i want to minimize discomfort for the group’s current members.

a: someone should consider having jeno and karina fc’s as a couple here b: same but rose and jaehyun HAHAHAH. the rose and jaehyun manips are crazy a: i once was supposed to have a rose and jaehyun manip couple. but it fell through sadly. and thus my jaehyun died off to be lonely b: noodsjd. the rose jaehyun manips are crazy a: ngl i ALMOST brought jaehyun in b: its never too late [wink face] a: HAHAHA that’s true [someone else jokes that naeun is a teacher’s pet] b: i hope her sisters do the bullying of the teacher for her a: teachers pet? haha b: “teachers pet? hahaha” the writing on naeuns gravestone b: naeun trying to head empty no professor thoughts [in class] so she doesnt disturb her sisters

that’s the conversation that took place. please think what you want about this, but like i said, i was following the rp lore that i had created in my silly little mind. so i wasn’t romanticizing the power dynamic between the teacher and student, imho. but if this made anyone uncomfortable for any reason, i do sincerely apologize. but i also can’t very well remove myself from my own rp…? so i don’t know what i can do beyond apologize and try not to repeat what i did wrong. i absolutely don’t claim to be perfect or incapable of making wrong comments - i am always open to being told that i’m wrong or made someone uncomfortable. with that aside, this was not the convo the complaints i received were about. the convo that the s/t rls and stepcest jokes that the complaints were about was another conversation entirely. i was not online when this conversation was taking place. this is the transcript. a is the person who was removed from the group, b is someone who left the group, c is someone who left the group, d is someone who left the group

a: what did i return to? haha b: my phone autocorrects tease to taste and REALLY changed the context of my plots c: YEAH. [cn] would rather not taste his adopted brother thank u very much a: umm b: yes please do tease him sounds very different from yes please do taste him a: taste test [a/n: this is the specific line that members complained about - from members’, and my own, understanding, it insinuated that someone’s character would ‘taste test’ their brother] b: my phone is trying to make me a questionable person d: [character name] does not want to be tasted by [character name] a: so who is being tasted then by the prof? takes notes [a/n: this was another line that was specifically complained about] b: OmG get out of here. [character name] is a respectable professor d: [cn] is side eyeing his bro b: just here to teach and learn. be gone with inappropriate thoughts d: [cn] thinks his brother is weird b: =w= he’s done NOTHING to suggest weirdness d: lol sureeeee b: [cn] just doesn’t trust d: [cn] just has the kinda face a younger bro wants to hit. just kidding a: i mean from what i’ve heard “respectable professor” doesn’t sound like him b: wot a: [cn] maybe be judging a bit b: what have you even heard??? a: the porn stash? now trying to taste people b: that’s not even real a: very questionable b: that’s a typo a: LMAO. sorry i’m just bored and on hold atm

again, i don’t really mind people forming their own opinions about this, but several members approached me in dm’s about their discomfort. i found this experience very stressful, and as much as i dont want to stress members out, i dont want to stress myself out. i thought about it for a long time because i of course didnt want to remove anyone from the group, but i really couldn’t think of a way to get this under control for the future that wasn’t me constantly being on the chat and constantly sending reminders. maybe weakness of having just one admin and no surplus of problem solving ideas, that’s on me. the best solution i thought was to nip it in the bud (the rp was about 2-3 days old at the time of this chat.) another thing that influenced this decision was that they had violated some rp rules while submitting their app, which i ignored at the time as i wanted to be lenient.

i felt i explained this to the mun that was removed, and they told me they didn’t agree with my decision but they would respect it - which is completely ok with me. they also said they didn’t think they should be the only one getting kicked out of the rp because they weren’t the only one in that conversation - i disagree with this, but i didn’t argue with them as, again, i really don’t mind people having their own opinions. as for that comment, no one complained about the other people in that convo and after evaluating, i personally didn’t think others involved in that convo made any problematic or uncomfortable remarks as they seemed to be deflecting the t/s and stepcest comment/s, if anything. again, it is very very possible that i’m wrong, but i was mostly going off of what members had approached me with. as i mentioned to the mun who was removed from the rp, i take discomfort at face value. i know how awful the feeling of being asked to justify your discomfort when it comes to potentially triggering topics like this, so i don’t want to put others through that.

- as for ‘cliques’, i’ve included very specific parameters in the rp rule’s about the group’s definition of bubble rping - this might be different from how other groups define it, but as far as i can tell, no one is breaking this rule as of now. as for ooc-wise, i won’t speak on this as i don’t want to invalidate anyone who might actually be feeling excluded for any reason. what i will do is encourage you to send msgs to the group - talk about your own character or others’ characters, send pics of your fc, send memes in the meme channel, etc !! i myself am not in the gc a lot of the time so i can’t promise that i can reply to every msg i see, and the group is more active during a specific time of day as i imagine many are busy with work or school, but i will try my best to respond to your mssgs when i see them as i hope others will to !! and again, the group discord is optional, and as far as i’ve seen from members’ plot calls on dash, our members have offered to plot both thru tumblr im’s and discord. again, not really sure what else to do about this, but i’m always open to comments and thoughts. just send them to the main !!

anyway, that’s all the points i want to address !! not only for my own peace of mind but also to be transparent to the group’s members who might be visiting this blog, so they can decide for themselves what they think of the situation. also, to possibly remove any worry from rp members’ minds. i don’t like to air out admin problems i encounter as i think keeping it to yourself to minimize stress on the group is an admin’s role, but i’m here because comments have been made in a public space that members can see. hope i’m not invalidating anyone’s feelings or opinions by clarifying these points as we are all very much entitled to our own opinions, but if i am i do apologize for that as well. again, i see anons mentioning they’re current members of the group - i really do encourage you to approach me with problems in the group or any discomfort you’re facing, as i find this will be helpful for the group as a whole !

Ok so I've been stalking your blog for the past couple of hrs after seeing your TadaAi posts (I'm drowning in the period drama that is this ship) and I find you ship Tododeku and rinharu (god i can't stand bakudeku and makoharu) and seems like we share a lot of our views on fandom and ships probably because we're older (I'm 22). Followed and looking forward to your input in the future!

Also you might've given me the motivation to finish watching Free! XD

Hehe yay, please, we need more ppl in our “house of oldies”, make yourself at home lol. And we share a lot of ships?! Even better <3

I knooow, I can’t believe we’ve got a gay “master who fell in love with his servant” ship in the anime, just what I needed for my idiotic collection lmao

But also these two have too much going on between them, so much wasted potential in my opinion, it’d be so interesting to explore (but sadly no xD), they were still the only interesting thing for me lolz. I love complicated morons, who became the victims of a huge unrequited requited love misunderstanding, bc they’re insecure morons lmao and they just have 2 of my fav ships vibes, so it’s probably mostly this haha.

Oh, I’m inputting *wink wink*, can’t wait to finish the vid, I’m having too much fun with it. I’ve just literally spent several minutes trying to get whether I’ve put Tadashi’s sexy mole in the right distance from his eye in the “him moaning on the table” manip lolz. What can I say... I picked the best hobby, with all the support I’m getting with my vids, I’m living a dream xD

You know, I think I’ve said it before, but when it comes to bakudeku, I at least understand what ppl hope to see there and why, but like.. it’s just not happenning. Also imagining Bakugou lovingly hugging Midoriya is just so OOC I start laughing all the time. And whatever ppl say, in any ship whether they’re enemies or rivals or anything, if you can’t imagine them being tender with each other, smth is not right in my opinion. Also once again, who needs idiotic bleating Midoriya, idk. I’m just tired of the endless “die, deku/out of my way” yelling, I like watching Bakugou going to parties and amusement parks and doing silly stuff, too. Like I’ve said before, pride won’t ever let him change the way he behaves with Midoriya, even when they’re doing “great”. If he was the one, it wouldn’t have mattered, no matter how tough you are, and it wouldn’t take that long. I also don’t think they’re that kind of relationship, like they move each other for sure, sometimes, yeah (not always in a good way tho), but be together in a relationships? Can’t imagine that. Like not all rivals have the rivals to lovers dynamic, no matter what ppl say. But I get the shipping, bc 1stly these two are playing too huge of a role in each other’s lives, 2ndly Midoriya is obsessed with him and Bakugou obsessed with him too (just in a bad way lmao) and 3rd ppl want that “enemies to lovers” dynamic, since many love it (me included, when it done right and progresses right), so they’re trying to write that “to lovers” bridge, that just doesn’t fit here in my opinion, simply bc Bakugou won’t be soft with Midoriya, like ever in a way, you’d want, and I don’t think it’s possible for them to go there.

Tododeku on the other hand, 1stly they also play too huge of a role in each other’s lives, 2ndly Midoriya is obsessed with him too and Todoroki is lovingly obsessed with him in return, 3rdly they are also rivals to lovers, and I have no problem imagining the second part, it won’t be OOC, 4thly Midoriya when he’s with Todoroki is my fav Midoriya, he’s happy, he is cocooned and he’s badass af (and like when he told Endeavor to fuck off or yelled at Todoroki “the fuck are u doing?” xD are still the best), 5thly Midoriya forgets about Bakugou, when he’s with Todoroki a lot and it’s just funny to me, 6thly they healed each other so nicely, I can’t not be into that, 7thly when they’re together I have like 0 worries, idk I’m like “he will catch him” anyways haha, Bakudeku just don’t give me this vibe. It’s like yeah, they won’t let each other die, but it’s always this chaos of “out of my way”, “I don’t want your help” and “let me punch you before I punch the villain” that I’m just “oh for god’s sake, pls bring in Kirishima and Todoroki so we could just go home, it could’ve been solved in 2 minutes” lmao. Etc, etc.

Tododeku just have too many winning points over bakudeku for me, same with kiribaku over bakudeku, even tho I 100% get bakudeku as a ship ofc. Also idk whether things would be different if Todoroki wouldn’t exist in the equation, but the moment I saw that s2 scene where Bakugou started yelling and Todoroki just ignored him and was like “was Midoriya always this good?”, there was no going back to me XD. Like they both obviously see that Midoriya is wonderful, but only one reacted to that in a way that I wanted. And I’m a sucker for the ships who don’t give a fuck and like “yeah, I find him amazing and everyone should know that”. Todoroki is also one of those guys, who if you give them the much needed love, they’ll return it tenfold with a forever devotion. And all of my fav ships are like that: Yullen, Rinharu, Mikayuu, Wangxian, Akakuro, etc. They’re like “well, I ain’t an idiot to let someone this precious go”, you know lol

On the other hand, when it comes to Kirishima, Bakugou can do all kind of ridiculous thing I wouldn’t imagine he would do to keep him or make him happy, you know. Kirishima is also the only one, who can put his arm around Bakugou without it being cut off, so I don’t make the rules here lol.

So it’s not like I can’t stand bakudeku, more of like can’t imagine this work, to me it’s easier to imagine todobaku in a relationships, but not bakudeku lolz.

But when it comes to makoharu, I just have a huge problem with it and I will never get it. Bc they don’t bring anything good in each other like AT ALL, I don’t even understand what kind of relationships this is from their shipper point of view; they give each other nothing, and one of them is totally in love with someone else and wants a future with him. And that someone also head over heals with him and also wants a future with him. And I hate how 99,9 % of mh fans don’t give a fuck about Haru or Rin whatsoever and just ignore their character’s everything. Bc Makoto. I’m also like if you love him so much, the fuck would you want him to be with Haru anyways, dude doesn’t reciprocate, like at all. I’m at confusion, like name good points of this ship and what good can they do for each other characteristically. There is none, it’s like a damn swamp. Like usually I can give my notp some points, but this is like... they’re both no good for each other... like... why would anyone even want this idk. Don’t tell me “for the childhood friends” one-sided dynamic, like why won’t you also ship Shion with Safu then, like even he seemed more invested in that, than Haru in makoharu lol.

Even if you think of them from the point of view of “the two who are always walking together” ships, that are everywhere nowdays (even tho since Haru moved to Tokyo, he was always with Asahi instead), but even if... those kind of ships are usually at least make each happy and are enough for each other. Haru on the other hand, when he doesn’t have Rin, he is walking with Makoto like a ghost, not even caring if he’s talking next to him AND he’s getting ennoyed by him. Like explain, how someone’s shipping them romantically. It’s been showed like 20 times, that with Rin, but without Makoto, he can be perfectly happy, without Rin tho, he never is.

Also someone explain, what exactly is the point of splitting up two characters, who are happy together, make each other the best versions of themselves and want to be together whole-heartedly? Like I know many start shipping smth, bc the relationships are better in the other pairing, for example, but this is like... definitely not the case here. Like what exactly is missing in rinharu, that makoharu has? Lack of progression and mutual inspiration?

So yes, if you’re into rinharu, totally finish Free! They’re like doing sooo incredible and holy shit they’re inspiring, I mean, look, they’re now the tokyo olympics ambassadors, like how many of yall gay ships reached that? you can’t miss out on them, and also they’re so hilariously romantic, they literally made a wish to swim with each other since they were 13 and did everything to get each other there, I’m.. you’re lying, if you didn’t cry watching them as chibies making wishes on a star and watching them now. One of the most wonderful development in my opinion. Like who would’ve thought back in s1, that we’ll get Haru yelling on top of Rin about how he made him want a future with him, def not me lmao and now all the olympics boyfriends fanfiction are true, I mean, idk what to say anymore. I miss them so much, I can’t wait for the movie :D

Pairing: Quarantine!Jensen x Reader

Summary: Your long quarantine together had brought your family closer. Jensen leaving for Vancouver again had been hard but you thought a video date might help

A/n: It has been so long since I’ve been able to finish anything. Thanks to @impalaimagining for pushing me to follow through and for editing my shit. Love ya. Also, the pic is not mine. Found the manip on twitter.

Jensen could no longer count on one hand how many times they’d had to do this. Not on two hands. Not even if he included his toes. He sat patiently, waiting for the sound that would bring him happiness. Jensen knew you were busy but he couldn’t wait to see you over video chat. Somehow, this had become the new normal for the two of you. Years had passed since it started but the frustration that came along with the waiting never ended.

He finally heard the sound of the call starting and he sighed happily. Your face appeared slowly as the camera on your end adjusted.

“Hey, Baby.” he smiled at you but quickly stopped with your grim expression.

You tried to smile but it faded pretty quickly. “Hey. Sorry it took me so long. Your hyperactive spawn thought bedtime was a suggestion.”

Jensen laughed at that. “She thinks she rules the house again?”

“Yeah but she’s got another thing coming.” you scowled playfully.

Jensen smiled and watched as you moved a little in the chair. “Back still hurting?”

You nodded but shrugged it off. Jensen could tell it was more than just an ache but he knew to let it go.

The two of you caught up after talking about what he had been doing over the past eight days while in quarantine in Vancouver. “I want to get back to work so I can be done and get home to you and Pres.”

At that moment your bedroom door slowly crept open as a little head popped in. “Mommy?”

You turned and opened your arms to your daughter. She quickly ran to you and climbed into your lap. Her head snuggled against your chest and her arms encircled you as much as they could.

Jensen kept quiet for a minute and waited for his daughter to open her eyes again. “Wait, I thought Preston James Ackles was supposed to be asleep in her bed.”

“Daddy!”

Her squeal made both you and Jensen laugh. She immediately started asking questions about where he was and what he was doing.

“I told you, Baby, I’m here in Canada again until Uncle Jared and I are done with the show.”

He knew the pout was coming but it didn’t have to break his heart like it did. They’d had this same conversation multiple times before he left and once he got there. His daughter was young enough that before the quarantine, him being gone was a normal thing. Now that he had spent almost five months at home and with his wife and daughter everyday, their routine had changed and of course she missed him.

His thoughts were broken as he heard Preston giggle. “Daddy, why you got you glasses on?”

Jensen touched his face. He completely forgot that he had been wearing them earlier. “What? You think I look funny or something?”

The little girl giggled again. “You never look funny unless you make silly faces with Mommy.”

“Thanks baby girl.” he smiled and looked at you on the screen. You were currently playing with Preston’s hair as she started to say more.

“You wearing you glasses to read?”

"I was, actually. I was going over the script they revised the other day." Jensen explained. "I gotta learn my lines so I can say them to Jared."

Preston nodded in understanding. "Since you still has your glasses on, can you read to me? Mommy doesn't do the voices like you do."

You scoffed. "I do great voices, thank you."

"Not as good as Daddy." Preston claimed.

Jensen chuckled and moved away from the screen. He had a few of their favorite story books stowed away in his Vancouver apartment.

He grabbed Preston's favorite book and moved back to his computer. Her squeal was all he needed to know he chose correctly.

Jensen carefully opened the book and began to tell the story of a dragon who loved to eat tacos. He would roar and growl and chomp like he was trying to eat all the tacos. Preston giggled for the first couple of pages but things grew quiet. He looked at the screen and tried not to distract his little girl too much. She yawned with a small stretch and then she cuddled into you more. Her bright eyes soon closed fully and you rubbed your hand along her back.

You finally looked to the screen again and Jensen had a distant look in his eyes as he watched your daughter sleep against you. Carefully, you mouthed to him that she was asleep and you were going to put her back in bed.

A few minutes later you were back in your room. Jensen now had his glasses off and was lounging back on his couch. “Hey, handsome. I thought I left my husband in here but I guess some stranger wandered in.”

Jensen smiled and then took in your appearance. You were sporting one of his old band tees and some shorts. He had to do a double take when he realized what he saw.

“I knew it was coming but man did you pop out fast.”

Your hand automatically shot to your small bump. You stretched the shirt over it to exaggerate a little more. “They say it’s usually more pronounced the second time.”

Jensen couldn’t stop smiling. “The little guy giving you any trouble?”

“How do you know it’s a boy?” you chided.

“I just know.”

The show’s abrupt stop to filming and quarantine had definitely led to you and your husband having more time to spend together. It clearly resulted in pregnancy like many other couples. However, unlike the other couples, your pregnancy was a little more planned.

You and Jensen knew the end of the show was coming and had planned to start trying when filming was done. Sometimes plans changed but you were both so excited.

“Hey, you think it’s about time the fans knew?”

Jensen smiled. “I think they might like some quarantine news. You want to do it tomorrow?”

You nodded happily. “I still have the picture saved. I’ll send it to you.”

“Oh, Baby, I already have it plus some.” he winked at you.

“You’re a mess but I love you.”

“I love you too, sweetie, from far away.”

You smiled at your husband and then frowned. “From very far away.”

A little thing I wanna say about Demon Joey

Think that title seems fitting enough. But this is something I wanted to make. It's an idea I've discussed about with my good friend @kaijuguy19 for my Bendy stuff. So please be aware this is kind of like AU stuff but acting like a sequel and taking place after the games and novels of the Bendy series.

While I may joke a lot about Joey and how he's literally this murderous yet lazy asshole who is basically responsibility for so much crap in the Bendy lore.

But I find it amazing that when I think about my ideas of what happens after Joey actually dies.

Is the fact that Joey was such a toxic person in life. He's a lying backstabber, he manipulates people, he takes credit for other people's work, he has possibly just maybe murdered some of his employees in order to sacrifice them. Yet basically the whole thing with the ink machine.

Despite he sounds like he may have regretted what he did in the ending of the first game. But it's unknown if he's just saying that to get on Henry's good side to manipulate him.

But the idea is Joey was so toxic as a person and so stubborn as a person. That even in death....all that toxicity and evil was basically one of the reasons why he becomes a powerful supernatural entity after his death in my Bendy stuff.

Originally he was gonna be murdered by Linda in front of a live audience. But I felt that would be too extreme. But adding to this I'm surprised for that upcoming Illusion Of Living book due to be released in 2021 it mentions about Joey's personal estate meaning he may of died. If we assume this book is releasing in real time.

I'm talking too much. Basically after Joey's death in my Bendy stuff. Probably suicide because he's when authorized might get close to him or so or whatever way he goes out. He's taking the easy way out or so.

But the idea is after his death. He's basically this powerful entity that literally roams around the world of the ink machine. Not directing attacking everyone. Yet he's spoken of like he's a God or a demon you don't wanna fuck with. Similar to how people see Ink Bendy. Like as in everyone is scared shitless of him.

What got me to think about this topic a bit deeper is the idea in my Bendy sequel stuff. I've been thinking as of now because Demon Joey has the power to go outside of the ink machine. He can freely explore the world and prefers to stay in it. But there were certain times he got out because there were people he literally despised.

People he despised so much that he haunted them so much that the got them to commit suicide. With the victims saying Joey was haunting them before they died.

The three confirmed characters I've been thinking that he causes the death of are Wilt Dynasty, Nathan Arch(an actual character from the lore), and Aaron Bluth. People Joey despised and was jealous of. Yet I think Aaron was some what of a different case but the topic is still the same.

These three well known documented deaths got people thinking that Joey was some how haunting people he loathed. Which they are right.

The point is I made Joey some how more worse than how he was before he died. Which sounds stupid. The idea came from trying some stuff. Including well I made a manip and at first it was supposed to be silly such as me wanting to put a smiling Joey on it...but then it turned into something....much more creepy and serious. Basically the idea was inspired by the Walrider from Outlast (yes I know spoilers the Walrider wasn't s ghost).

Kind of meme ish and originally there wasn't blood dripping. This was the concept when Linda Stein was still his murderer. But now she's not anymore. I've also been listening to the Walrider chase theme by Creepy Guy. Was listening to an extended version at first.

But yeah at one point I thought about drawing him but haven't. Yet yeah I wanted to put in Joey some how....he's literally a toxic and violent demonic entity that haunts the ink machine.

I'm concerned about tagging Joey Drew on this. So I'll just tag it as Demon Joey.

Okay y’all, I know this has been done before, but Disney is just as much a passion of mine is BTS, so I thought I’d try my hand at combining them.

Jin and Flynn rhyme. I kid, but I just realized it when I started typing so it gets a mention.

Handsome is their brand.

But their exterior is nothing compared to their fluffy goodness inside.

They work hard to be the best in their respective fields, even if Flynn’s is thieving and shenanigans.

Would fight a horse for your affection.

For Jin, I was torn between Prince Naveen and Flynn Rider. Both are handsome and they know it, but where Naveen is all Prince, Flynn is a little rogue and also a little Eugene Fitzherbert. Personally, aside from the visuals, Jin’s standout personality trait is his silly nature and penchant for Dad jokes, no matter how suave he is on the outside. This duality is perfect for Flynn/Eugene. They both appreciate the finer things in life, but not in entitled way, more in a “I know what’s like to go without the finer things and so I appreciate them when I have them” sort of way. Also, ya boy can sing. Also, smolder.

Milo Thatch

Hot takes:

They have brains and beauty.

They can both rock a tank top.

Milo becomes the KING of Atlantis, so leadership runs in their veins.

No judgement would date a woman who is older and more powerful.

Glasses. That’s it, that’s the hot take.

RM and Milo both have an unquenchable thirst for knowledge (and I have an unquenchable thirst for them). Basically, RM just is Milo? Glasses, tank tops, giant brains and all. Milo is especially adept in languages and anthropology. Every time I see another picture of RM at a museum my choice is reaffirmed. Milo is also characterized by a deep sense of righteousness, expression, and knows how to hype a crowd. I vote Milo for most likely to speak at the UN (about Atlantean rights).

J-Hope

Prince Phillip

HOBI IS AN IRL DISNEY PRINCE AND I WILL FIGHT YOU ON THAT AND DIE ON THAT HILL.

Can sing and dance and woo you in the space of a single song.

100% capable of both falling off a horse and slaying a dragon, why would you even question that.

Does not care for your royal traditions and will do as he pleases with a smile on his face and in his heart.

I have definitely “walked” with Hobi once upon a dream.

Disney Princes are kind of meh. I mean we build them up to be the male ideal, but mostly they’re kind of whiny and manipulative (I’m looking at you, Prince Eric). Prince Phillip is not your average Disney Prince. He’s okay being royal, but his royalty is second to his own dreams and desires. He was born into royalty and expectations, and he doesn’t whine or complain about it, he embraces it. Both Philip and Hobi are the embodiment of competence and capability. They are strong and soft, hard and delicate. I’ve always loved they way Philip was willing to throw everything away because he fell in love. This is traditionally the woman’s role in a fairy tale, and I feel like Prince Phillip, with his visual and performative duality, is more concerned with being true to himself than being what others think he should be. Also I’d put my money on it that they’re both very talented with their swords.

Suga

Kristoff

Hot takes

GRUMPY GRUMPS that still manage to be beloved by an entire clan of rock trolls. In Suga’s case, ARMY are the rock trolls. Own it.

Masters in their respective crafts (for Suga, this is music, obvs, for Kristoff this is… ice).

Can write songs and play instruments.

Attracts opposing personalities, who find his innate grumpy stoicism endearing (think Anna, Sven, Olaf).

Would ride through a blizzard like a valiant, pungent, reindeer king to save you.

Suga is no fixer-upper, but this one came easily to me. The grumpy act is a front, and really they’re just keeping their cards close to their chest and waiting for the right hand. They’re both incredibly capable. I would 100% trust both of them to help me find my magical sister in a blizzard while climbing up a mountain and running from wolves but only after I’ve earned their respect. Kristoff’s ice-mining skills remind me a lot of Suga’s ability to turn music into gold, but they’re both very humble about it, which speaks to their absolute mastery. And I know I put it in the hot take, but they both absolutely attract happy, bubbly, adoring friends and fans with their stoic personalities.

Aladdin

A deep and sometimes melancholy desire to be more than what they seem.

Wherever they are, whatever they are doing, whether that’s scaling the rooftops of Agrabah or training for a KPop band, they put all of their mentality and physicality into it.

They’re both meant for more than what they started as.

Did I mention abs?

Every animated Disney movie has an “I want” song. Most of the female characters get amazing “I want” moments (except for Ariel, girl needs to learn how to love herself), but men, even central characters, are often very shallow. Don’t get me wrong, Go the Distance is one of the best “I want” songs in the Disney library, but it doesn’t have half the earnestness and depth or emotionality of the One Jump Ahead Reprise. We all know that Jimin has been the most forthcoming about his struggle with accepting himself and developing his skills as an idol. I feel like no other Disney Hero captures the essence of his “I want” like Aladdin does.

Robin Hood

One is a fox, the other is a literal fox.

Cunning and silly. Misschievous and chivalrous. Basically, duality.

Willing to put autocratic authority in its place.

Their smiles are strangely attractive.

So inspirational that large followings of people are willing to follow them into danger.

Would absolutely steel from the rich and give to the poor when it’s the right thing to do.

This is partially about personality, but also partially about Tae’s sharp and handsome features that absolutely remind me of my weird attraction to Robin Hood. Although anyone’s physical attraction to Tae is definitely not weird because the man is a whole snack. I joke about Tae being chaotic neutral, but there’s no denying he has a deep sense of righteousness. He was willing to call Army out for the weird and sometimes hateful posts on Weverse, and 100% admire that he’s willing to stand-up to bullies. Robin Hood dons an absolutely ridiculous stork costume without blinking even if there are more dignified alternatives, because ultimately life’s about having fun and being weird, even when you’re basically starting a civil war.

The maknea of BTS vs. the maknea of Olympus.

They both have an ernst, puppy-dog like desire just to Do Good.

They both have an ernst, puppy-dog like desire to please their hyungs.

Into bodybuilding, but their physical strength is just an outward manifestation of their inner strength.

Hands down would go to Hades, no questions asked, to save the one(s) he loves.

This was another no-brainer. Both of these makeneas are ruled by their desire to please their elders, whether that’s Zeus and Phil or RM and Hobi. And really if young, awkward, but completely capable Hercules doesn’t remind you of baby, JK, get out of my house. They both bask in the admiration of their fans, but what’s really important to them is being accepted and loved by their close circle of friends and family. They are both incredibly loyal, almost to a fault, and were destined for greatness.

Thanks for breaking it down, I do get why people are hesitant to accept a BrittanaKlaine friendship, it still really throws me off when I see more people campaigning for a friendship like Sebklaine or Sebrittana (yes, I have seen the latter). I just wish there wasn’t so much hate between the two fandoms, people are going to prefer one or even dislike the other which is okay but the vitriol hate and intense ship wars only exists between the two queer couples, I never see people arguing over Finchel vs Samcedes, Finchel vs Klaine etc like this. It’s really sad. Glad that you’re rooting for the friendship though!

okay, i know that i'm negatively biased against sebastian in general but good god - i did not need to know that 'sebrittana' was a thing...but now that you mention it, i have seen kurtbastian fans make terrible manips of kurtbastian/brittana double dates...even though, y'know, both santana and kurt hate sebastian. obviously i hardcore agree with you that friendships like sebklaine or sebrittana or anything that involves sebastian with any of the ND are all crazy, but hey, if that's what people want to do with their fandom energy, who am i to knock 'em?

anyway, i'm with you 100%. you're right that people never pit the straight couples against each other. in fact...the straight couples get away with so much shit compared to the queer ones, especially when it comes to which couples are considered ‘toxic.’ i find it incredibly annoying that klaine is the ship most often called toxic in the glee fandom, despite finchel and quick being objectively worse - it just goes to show that queer characters and relationships are held up to higher standards, both because queerness was stigmatized for so long and people in a slow-changing world only wanted to see ‘good’ gay role models on their television, and because these ships served as the sole bit of representation that some LGBT kids had back then.

both of the aforementioned conditions pushed klaine & brittana to be perfect, and there was a lot of outrage whenever they weren’t. and then it slowly built up until people were all-out fighting over whichever one was better representation....ignoring the fact that each individual character/ ship was meant to represent a different type of queer person. what the fandom refuses to acknowledge, even in the year 2022, is that neither of those two is ‘better’ - they were both groundbreaking in different ways and they appeal to different demographics.

and to quote professor hulk...i see this as an absolute win!!! because klaine & brittana’s stories being so different means that a wider variety of people can come to glee and find themselves represented on this silly gay show. i mean, how common is it, even now, for a show to have one fully developed gay couple, let alone two? how common is it for shows to have four major queer characters, all with their own stories to relate to? and people are still giving each other shit over a petty ship war? it’s just insane to me.

so...yeah, i’d say i’m right there with you in terms of wishing that the two fandoms didn’t hate each other. i mean, it’s absolutely possible that individual klaine & brittana fans can be friends - a good chunk of my favorite people in this fandom are brittana stans and i love them all dearly, but i think the chances of the fandoms as a whole putting their differences are unfortunately very low.

(but never zero!)

anyway, fandom BS aside, i’m always rooting for their friendship!! i believe in queer solidarity, but even outside of that i think that brittana and klaine would have such a fun dynamic as a group 🥰 i would've honestly paid to see a double date, or any scene, really, with the four of them goofing off and being besties. and though we didn’t see this in canon, the image of them all hanging out and being cute lives rent free in my brain <3

To the person who took my Choni manip off Ao3, reposted it to instagram, and then sent it directly to the actors in it- look, I'm assuming that probably took at least 3-4 minutes. I'm not even gonna comment at that particular turn of events. It would have been super cool though, if you would have taken an extra 20 seconds there and actually left me a comment on Ao3 telling me you liked the manip? I wouldn't even have seen the instagram thing if someone hadn't told me. As far as I know, based on the reaction on Ao3 (current comment count: none) Choni isn't a popular ship or people just weren't really feeling this piece? Photoshopping is fun and relaxing for me, but a big part of why I post it online instead of sticking to making silly art for my friends is because I straight up like the validation of a stranger telling me I did a good job. I'm assuming you liked the manip at least somewhat to want to share it with other people. But you didn't tell the person who actually made it that you liked it! You commenting means I'll go "Oh, people like this thing, I should make more like this thing!" You not commenting means I'm probably not going to make more of that ship anytime soon and just focus on the popular stuff or esoteric stuff for my own amusement.

What I think about the Laucy photoshoot, the MTV article, Laucy, Camren and Lauren’s tweets

I am aware that as part of the big audience we are constantly fed by the information they provide us, and as we don’t know what happens in real life we can easily believe what they want us to believe.

All of this things like the photoshoot, the MTV article brings media attention, gossip, headlines, the fandom freaking out on social media… Come on, we can’t forget that THEY know our patterns and way of thinking (in general as a fandom, as a mass, not as individuals, of course) a lot better than we know THEIRS simply because it’s THEIR work, they are professionals that know how to work with an audience and get inside our minds to achieve what they want, to sell whatever they want us to buy.

But hey, don’t you guys wonder why ALL of this is happening right now? Because I do, I wonder why are we seeing the photoshoot now, why are we reading the MTV article now, why is the photographer supposedly giving her point of view as some kind of insider according to some laucy-live-interaction she witnessed during that photoshoot… I notice how conveniently the article ends with the phrase “She added, ‘I did not stage that, I did not tell them to do that. A lot of the moments were very real. Very candid” and now after all of that stuff, as the dessert strawberry, we read Lauren’s tweets. It’s all a big WOW.

I’m not going to talk about what kind of bond Lauren and Lucy have in real life or what kind of relationship they had, have or may have in the future. It’s none of my business. It’s their life and I respect them. But I do and will talk about laucy in the sense of being PR because for me it was used for it.

If we ask ourselves why would Lauren be open to a PR like laucy and being shipped with Lucy, I think the answer could be that she was doing it for many reasons like she was promoting Lucy whose singing skills started to show up (and if I’m not wrong I believe she has an album coming up or at least it was a rumor at that moment) and the focus was on “laucy” as a ship and not on “camren”.

I’m pretty sure the laucy kiss had a purpose because it happened right before Lauren came out and the pics were staged and in HD (not like those camren leaked pics in potato quality). I mean, Lauren wrote a letter to Trump supporters in which among of all the important things she said, she mentioned that she was a bisexual Cuban-American woman. With that being said, if the media searched about Lauren’s love life just for gossip, what would have they found? That laucy kiss was the perfect cover to get Lauren out of the closet without involving Camila and to create an imbalance in the attention they give to the band because at that moment Mila was still in 5H.

I think laucy was carefully planned. Every single pic or interaction we’ve seen… everything that reached our eyes or ears… all planned for PR and I think it still can be used in the future – just like this MTV article says “they dated on and off for a few years. So they’re good friends over everything else”, so if it is needed again all they have to do is have some laucy social media interaction and some people will believe that laucy is back on the game again.

I repeat, I’m not talking about laucy as the real relationship Lauren and Lucy had, have or might have, I think it’s fair to say that actually no one but them knows what is really going on between them. I’m just talking about laucy being used for publicity regardless their personal relationship, just that.

I think about why this kind of information comes to us right now. One of the many things we have to consider is timing, that’s one of the many things we’ve learned after reading all those mind-blowing posts the wise people of this fandom made explaining how this crazy industry works and sharing what they’ve searched and discovered and letting us know their mature and well-formed opinions. We know that nothing is random, nothing happens just by coincidence or casuality. Like if we see or hear or read something it’s because they wanted us to see it or hear it or read it at that precise moment. That’s why I say it’s very clear that timing is the key that allow us to connect one fact with another and make our conclusions. There is always a cause and a consequence, we can see it.

Now talking about Lauren’s tweets, well… I can say that I understand her – of course, if it was actually Lauren herself the one writing and replying because we all know their social media accounts can be controlled, I think that’s a possibility we have to keep in mind.

I think the “killing-camren-campaign” had always been a main project for the label and management and all those teams that work with the girls and now Lauren’s tweets bombarded the ship, I mean, we can say that she made herself clear.

But we can’t ignore that it had to be done so this narrative can continue with a single Lauren open to any relationship in the future and a Camila who seems straight to her potential audience and new fans apart from all the fans she already has who love her unconditionally, so time will pass and some camren shippers may jump to a new ship – just like it happened with laucy – and this will take the focus away from camren as the audience will see both Camila and Lauren walking in different and separate ways following their dreams and dating other people.

As it is a fact that a huge part of this fandom seems to have short memories, I’d say that in this way camren might remain as a ship inside this fandom, a ship that was never real, a ship that was just in our camren shipper’s delusional minds. So following this kind of logic camren will sunk for good like the Titanic in the deep ocean with the passage of time. And I think this is what it is needed for the label to keep this story going. It is convenient.

Now, if it was Lauren the one who wrote all her tweets and she meant every word she said, I understand that she needed to do it and why she used those words. I get it. I get her.

I know social media, especially twitter, is a warzone. Some people are so toxic that their bad vibes are almost palpable, so I get why Lauren could probably be done with all of this hashtags and comments and stuff. I understand her, honestly. Her life is being exposed because she’s a celebrity, and she is a reserved person so I can’t imagine how hard it might be to be in her shoes.

It’s a shame that a part of the fandom always found a way to put one of the girls as a villain and the others as pure saints. It’s a shame how because of some rude and disrespectful people that don’t know about boundaries, everyone tends to put us all in the same “annoying fans” basket. It’s a shame, really. Being a harmonizer is beautiful and this kind of things in a way ruin the good parts that we as a fandom have.

But I want to say something: Shipping is ok. There’s nothing wrong with it. We can ship all we want but one thing is being a low-key camren shipper and another completely different thing is to be one of those people who comment “camren is real” under their tweets and photos the girls post, tag them in pics, edits, gifs and manips and bother the them with the ship thing… Come on! Not all camren shippers are the same! Don’t judge us all for shipping camren just because of the crazy, rude and aggressive part of the fandom’s behavior. It’s silly to just generalize, really.

As I trust body language and unscripted moments, the ones we can consider spontaneous actions or interactions, it’s hard, very hard, for me to believe that camren was just a product of our imagination, just a ship that our delusional minds created and that was never real.

Now, I think that there is some trouble with the term “real” when it comes to ships, especially ships like this one, camren. I, personally, consider that a ship is “real” because I talk about feelings being real, not because I say that the people I ship are actually married and have children and live in a mansion in the middle of nowhere with a cat and a golden retriever. Real, for me and maybe for some other people, means that there is chemistry between them, feelings involved, looks, touches, smiles and candid moments that demonstrate that there is a special bond and connection between them, a romantic one to be precise.

So even though I love and respect Lauren I find it very, very difficult to just believe that what she tweeted it’s the complete truth.

I feel that there are things like feelings and emotions that we as humans can’t hide even if we try to control them. Love is one of those things. Eyes don’t lie, they speak and scream what we’re feeling just like our gestures do and we certainly didn’t imagine it all.

Photomanipping bits and bobs

I know it’s *ages* since I promised to do a piece-by-piece “dissection” of a manip, because there was some interest. (I don’t remember who it was, though? @paddyfitz ? Others?)

But anyway, the major reasons I haven’t done that demo yet are that I don’t really want to a) sacrifice a good manip for the purpose, because then the illusion will be destroyed forever (wipes tear), b) if I use a shit manip people will not be convinced my techniques are worthy of checking out (even if the fail wasn’t in the techniques themselves, but the executor) c) my usual combination of either physical or mental fatigue or just being crap at getting anything done even if it might be pleasurable once I’m in the zone. (Look, I put off even my sex toy reviews to hand them in at the last minute.)

But, JSYK, I am still thinking about doing it, and if you’re interested, now’s the time to pipe up. Especially if you have a specific manip, or a specific detail, technique or effect in mind. I’m on mobile right now, so I can’t make this into a question post, but really, feel free to ask anything you like. (Unless it’s “why do you do this wrong evil thing?!?”–that’s a different debate altogether and I’m sure we’ve already established I’m a pervert in the service of Torsten Barring, King of Hell [the word on the Elysian fields says he *did* end up bumming Satan off his throne and is now sprawling on it in a *fabulous* dress].)

Questions about Photoshopping in general are welcome, too, if it’s somewhere in that area or near it (dewatermarking and photo restoration, for instance). Maybe that’ll kick the lethargic parts of my brain into some semblance of life. And since there’s a lot of stuff in there, it’d be silly to sit on it, in case it can help others struggling with the same kinds of projects.

How Femslash Saved My Life (No, Really)

When I was contacted for Femslash Revolution’s I Am Femslash event for Femslash February, I won’t lie, I was extremely surprised (and still am, to be honest, because with so many talented femslash creators out there who’ve contributed a lot more than I have, who would nominate me?). And then I got down to the business of choosing a topic. And I was stumped.

It wasn’t that I didn’t have anything to write about. I have a lot to write about when it comes to femslash, but every word I tried to write came out half-hearted and fell flat.

I didn’t want to think about the reason, but, with only six days before this was due, I realized: this isn’t working. And I realized why it wasn’t working. I did have a story to tell—I was just too afraid to tell it.

And still am, as you can see by the fact that I’ve spent three paragraphs trying to avoid the subject. It doesn’t matter that I’m submitting this anonymously (for reasons that will become clear soon enough). I’m still afraid, and I know it’s very clear that I’m afraid. I hope you’ll bear with me.

So, the story of how femslash saved my life goes like this: July 2015. I was desperate, on edge, and suicidal.

And then Tolkien Femslash Week came along.

At that point, I’d been in fandom for over seven years, under two different accounts (the first of which I now pretend doesn’t exist because it was so damn cringeworthy). I’d written gen and het, and, later, once I got past my ‘no homo’ stage, slash, and that one femslash fic. I had come out to a total of one person (an online friend I’m not in contact with anymore). Homosexuality was illegal in my country (and still is). I had, after much struggling, come to terms with the fact that I was bi almost two years ago (mostly thanks to fandom).

The thing is, it wasn’t loneliness like I would have felt if I’d come to the realization of my sexuality in the pre-Internet days. I was in fandom, I was in slash fandom (which played a huge role in me coming to terms with my sexuality and letting go of denial and self-hatred), and I obviously didn’t think I was alone alone. In terms of the rest of the world, Obergefell vs. Hodges had just concluded in the U.S., the Irish marriage equality referendum had been successful.

But my country was—is—stuck. We still had—have—archaic laws in place which made my very existence illegal. At that time, public sentiment was against decriminalizing (although that’s shifted somewhat now. Not a lot, but there’s more support than there was a couple of years ago). And I didn’t know any LGBT people except in passing, and none at all online.

Part of this is my fault, looking back. I am painfully shy, so I don’t exactly talk to people. I isolated myself and didn’t reach out to other LGBT people because part of me believed I deserved this (something I’m still getting over).

And I was in M/M fandom, and all these wonderful things were happening in the world, but I felt isolated from them. I was on the other side of a glass wall, banging my fists against it, but no-one could hear me. And I thought, on some level, that I was still wrong.

(“Where’s the femslash?” I hear you asking. Wait. I’m getting to it.)

I’d written M/M, but the only explicitly femslash fic I’d ever written was received much worse than my gen, het, or slash (I know now that was because of the fandom, which was predominantly gen and het, but it didn’t help at the time). Marriage equality obviously wasn’t for people like me, living in countries where it’s an impossible dream. I’d lost touch with the only person I’d come out to at that point. I’d moved beyond ‘gay is eeeeevil’, but I was still convinced that, while other people could be not-straight, I couldn’t. I was desperate, and angry, and tired. I was self-harming, and suffused in self-hatred. It wasn’t the closest call I’ve had with suicide, but it’s somewhere in the top three.

Because I was planning on killing myself. I’d made plans. Wait for my exams to be over, then do it. Don’t study, it doesn’t matter, but, for some reason (a reason I don’t remember but am infinitely glad of), wait until my exams are over.

And then. I was scrolling Tumblr, and a link to silmladylove’s Tolkien Femslash Week came across my dashboard.

It sounds silly in retrospect. I’m aware of how silly it sounds. But that—that saved my life.

I had an exam the next day, but I stayed up all night going through the silmladylove Tumblr, and then wrote a fic. That fic was basically all my desperation and anger, toned down and without the suicidal urges.

And people responded. People responded, and I’m still surprised, but there were comments on my fic. People said it was good. People read about two women together, and didn’t ignore it. That, more than anything, helped.

And there were other people, writing, drawing, making edits. Of women. Together. In relationships. Maybe, I thought, maybe I wasn’t so alone after all.

(I said it sounds silly in retrospect, didn’t I?)

Looking back, I have no idea how I hadn’t found the Tolkien femslash community before this, but—I hadn’t. And then I did. And it made all the difference in the world.

I’m not going to pretend that one night fixed anything, because it didn’t. But what it did do was stop me from doing something that I would regret. What it did do was introduce me to the femslash community, and that, more than anything else, is what has kept me going since then.

I write femslash almost exclusively now. I make manips, and sometimes even draw. I ship so many femslash ships, ships which, until then, I hadn’t realized I wasn’t allowing myself to ship. Through femslash and the people I found in the femslash community, I found mainstream TV shows and books and songs which told me that yes, I was OK. I reblog femslash and talk about femslash and I write about women in love and allow myself to hope that, one day, I’ll be able to fall in love and have that love returned, too.

Offline, I’m so deep in the closet that I might as well be in Narnia. Online, I live in a glass closet—I am a predominantly femslash creator, I talk about LGBT rights, I remark on how women are hot, and if you know me (in fandom!), you’ve probably figured out who I am by now, but, for plausible deniability reasons, I can’t actually come out and say ‘I’m bi’. I haven’t stopped having suicidal thoughts (though I have managed to mostly stop self-harming). It sucks. It sucks, and it’s going to keep sucking. But you know what? I can get through it. And the main reason I can get through it is femslash, and the friends I’ve made through femslash.
