this is fun... i do like advertising my own fic. i wish i'd made more progress on fic recently but that's fine. i'm skipping my most recent oneshot (phantom pains) because i kinda don't want to include the first line of very dead dove ventfic here. but here are the next ten!

3 ships: I'm not that much into fanfiction and shipping, but I really like Simon x Baz from Carry On, I headcanon Blue, Gansey, Ronan and Adam from the Raven Cycle as a polycule and Georgia's and Rooney's queerplatonic relationship in Loveless made me long for someone to confess their platonic love for me in a field.

The Raven Cycle Untitled Pando Fic: So this fic is just a twinkle in my eye right now, but it was supposed to be the long fic I wrote this year before Sapphic Wolfstar took over my brain. But I do have extensive notes for it. Also Mel is going to co-write it with me but she doesn’t know that yet. What’s a girl to do when Maggie Steifvater offhandedly mentions on Twitter that she planned, but will never write, a TRC spinoff involving an 80,000 year old forest? Pando is a clonal colony of Aspen trees in Utah, and while it looks like thousands of individual trees, it’s actually a single organism connected by extensive underground root systems. But really this fic is about Blue taking Gansey to meet her dad’s side of the family and… let’s just say it doesn’t go well. Additionally Adam reconnects with his mother and starts a new job. Ronan adopts a teenage dreamer who is his karmic retribution for his own teen angst rebellion. Henry’s parents split up. I will write this, eventually. Probably. Maybe.

okay so!!! very very very first character was mara and she's still my dearly beloved cringefail homicidal babygirl. then i was like oh i should write a short story for all of her friends. i wrote zahra's and i was like Oh. oh maybe there is something else going on here. so then it eventually turned into this huge novel idea with zahra & connor as main characters who become best friends and love each other so deeply but cannot be together. then musa came into the picture as zahra's secondary(?) love interest but he is thee great once-in-a-lifetime love for her. And Then He Dies! and so as my beloved em put it last night, the narrative becomes a choice between connor vs musa in that the choice is grief/past/commitment or different grief/regrowth/new promises.

i've loved zahra and musa from the moment they came to me and i loved connor as a concept i loved the purpose he served for the story but i didnt love Him until yesterday when i wrote something separate from the novel as a character exercise and realized he is thee white boy of all time. and it's SO funny 2 me that u mentioned the gangsey in ur ask bc. and i do really hate to say it but connor is soooo gansey coded it makes me sick. i'm quoting emma again: "the thing about connor . is he is gansey in adam’s charmingly off putting body" and thats all u need to know abt him! he's rich and he's rlly rlly smart but kinda stupid in a sheltered way and extremely charming and loving and giving and lonely. zahra is my sweet, prideful girl who just cannot catch a break. she's a little sister and a big sister and the glue that holds all the people in her life together. musa is an Eldest Son and he is a hole in the story and thats all u need to know.
