uh uh ok I hope the selection I have is ok for you thank you for asking I’m like crying also this is a lot I realized so I’m sorry

Nightwolf is like really good at playing drums and electric guitar cause his family is a metal head family so he grew up with his kin always jamming out to metal and rock of all kinds. He gets a little defeated sometimes cause he doesn’t have like any personal time to keep playing…

Also Nightwolf makes his own jewelry like his bracelets and necklace, he made himself. He makes his own bead work earrings too but only wears them to events ….which he like never goes to…

Fujin and Raiden have a library in the Sky Temple that’s full of books they’ve collected and gifted each other over the years and Fujin keeps accidentally getting the same book over and over every few hundred years

Fujin likes to paint sometimes like it’s not smth he loves, loves, but it passes the time and he likes to see how he improves over the years. Fujin likes to lounge around so sitting and painting what he sees really relaxes him. He likes water color and likes to sketch portraits of Nightwolf’s face but Nightwolf doesn’t know that….

also Fujin loves to make bread….. he lived in a village for like five years when he was living among mortals, and the elder women of the village taught him to make bread and pastries so he makes some treats for him and Raiden sometimes

I also like to think Fujin and Raiden have this portrait of themselves hanging in the Sky Temple… many years ago a painter approached them and requested he be able to paint the brothers and they agreed. The brothers look at it some times and think about how much brighter and ‘younger’ they looked those years ago before their responsibilities became more stressful and commanding

Kabal has two moms……… I have no like reason for this one I just think he has two mamas and he loves them very much. He kinda drifted from them, though when Kabal was a teen cause he started getting involved with crime and stuff and when he joined the police force with Stryker, Kabal is still healing his relationship with his moms….

specifically mk1 Bi-Han has a little stuffed cat he keeps clean and healthy, because it was the one thing he had as a kid that like allowed him to be a kid? Yk what I mean? It’s so small he can fit it in one of his palms …

It took a long, long time but Takeda learned how to braid Jacqui’s hair properly and he gets really good at it!! He does her hair and kisses her shoulders and stuff while he does, and then Jacqui turns around and gives Takeda one of those silly on-top-of-the-head ponytails that sticks up and she giggles about it

Cassie and Kung Jin are K-Pop fans and Cassie blows Johnnys money on concert tickets all the time and they come home and crash in Cassie’s apartment to sleep in until 4:00 in the evening cause they are so exhausted

I need so badly to make an MK au where Lord Raiden was a teen in the sixties and Lord Fujin was a teen in the late sixties/early-mid seventies

And they just encompass their decades as people

And Liu Kang would be so reminiscent of the 80s glam rock and hair bands and all

And then you'd have Kung Lao, who, even though him and Liu are similar ages, he'd be like a solid mix of 80s/90s

I like to imagine Good Shang and Fujin's interactions being like how you'd imagine a moody teen with their doting parent who embarrasses them in public unintentionally. Except Shang is an adult and all.

Mainly because good or evil, I imagine Shang just isn't all too keen on physical affection and Fujin is..the complete opposite. I imagine Shang wants to be taken seriously and it's hard to do that when your parental figure keeps smothering you.

I’m here for Fujin embarrassing Shang Tsung in public! But also please consider this: Fujin escorting the Good Shang Tsung to Liu Kang’s timeline, like a loving parent would walk his excited yet anxiety-driven kid to meet the new class at new school, to help smooth the awkwardness between him and literally everyone involved on the other side of the Hourglass🤣

Because if there is one thing that MK11: Aftermath taught us, everyone is up there to beat Shang Tsung, whether he already did something bad or not, so I imagine his good counterpart showing up on Liu Kang’s call was the most awkward moment of the game AND WE WERE ROBBED as the game did not show us that!

This potentially comical awkwardness reminds me of Johnny Cage’s quote from Mortal Kombat film (1995), once he and Liu Kang walked into Outworld:

Liu, I hate this place. I do. I’m telling you I hate it. I’m in a hostile environment, I am completely unprepared, I’m surrounded by people who probably want to kick my ass. It’s like being back in high school!

and I seriously can see Good Shang Tsung’s telling something similar to Dad!Fujin because of course everyone gathered there would want to kick his ass solely for the fact he is Shang Tsung 🤣 🤣

[stimming anon] okay, can I ask for Nightwolf, Fujin, and MK1 Liu Kang (if you don't do multiple characters then just Wolfie is alright) with a pre-teen regressor? Like tapping on a hard surface, rocking back & forth, fidgeting with something, or picking at their lips. at least this is some of the stimming that i personally do-

I will admit I did add a few things like sensory issues and similar things to make the lists longer, but it does mostly focus on stimming and middlespace regressing!! (Mostly stimming though)

If I screwed up or should change anything, do let me know and I'll make sure to fix any mistakes I've made!!!

Nightwolf w/ Middlespace Regressor that stims

🐺 Nightwolf is very good with middlespace regressors

🐺 And he's very good with people who stim

🐺 If your stimming because of a stressful or irritating situation, his new mission is to make whatevers upsetting you go away

🐺 If it's because of someone, he politely (and sternly) tell them to knock it off, especially if the person knows they're making you do it negatively

🐺 If it's for positive reasons, he's highly encouraging of it!!!

🐺 He just kinda smiles and listens attentively when you stim, never judging or questioning your behavior

🐺 Encourages you to do it in public, and his glare alone won't let anyone look at you funny or say anything mean

🐺 Some members of his family stim, and he's very upset if someone were to make fun of you for it

🐺 If you feel embarrassed or ashamed or guilty, he tries to explain that it's okay to express yourself, and you shouldn't let other people control your decisions

🐺 Is very patient if your stimming makes certain tasks difficult or take longer

🐺 ^ If you say your too young for that nickname, he'll jokingly call you Baby Bear instead and laugh when you become even poutier

🐺 If you'd like, he'd let you sit you on his lap and rock with you if your okay with it

🐺 If any of your stims have to do with textures, he'll get you the softest furs he can get

🐺 Always has at least something for you to fidget with, might start carrying something on his belt so its always on him

🐺 Will try to offer you gum or a chew necklace if your lip biting draws blood, but its a race occurrence and he's just trying to help

🐺 I know it's not stimming, but if you have any sensory issues and want to do makeup but it's too much for you, he'll look into different options so you can live your emo dream

🐺 Your too little to touch his ax, don't try it (you'll receive his mighty glare and dissimponted tone and honestly, you might start crying)

🐺 ^ Will apologize for making you cry, his intentions were to keep you safe, not to make you feel bad or naughty

🐺 If there are any certain triggers that will make you become upset enough to negatively stim, he'll make sure to keep you away from them

🐺 Even if this makes him a ‘bad guy’ at times, his mission is to keep you happy and safe

🐺 Any positive things to make you stim? He'll deliberately search for!!

🐺 Your favorite song? Might not be his music taste (maybe), but he'll smile over the way you gasp and begin to tap the table or the car door and sing along (he'll sing too, his voice is beautiful)

🐺 Certain comfort or go to foods? Either always has them stocked and will give them to you after a bad day, or go out and get it because he knows you need something rn.

Fujin w/ Middlespace Regressor that stims

☁️ Fujin loves middle regressors, but does have a small habit of treating you like your six

☁️ Like, come on Fujin, we're not five, we're 12 😒

☁️ Just make sure to remind him that your older than that, and he's quick to apoligize and change his actions

☁️ Is a bit concerned that you'll make your lip bleed by accident and will try to persuade you on something else to chew or pick on (but if your dead set on sticking to your lip, he'll let you, but make sure your lips aren't hurt or bad)

☁️ Didn't know a bunch about stimming, he's seen it a few times from when he was with the mortals, but quickly understood the concept of it

☁️ If you have any favorite textures Fujin will get most of any gifts he buys you in them so you'll actually enjoy wearing them and it doesn't feel like sandpaper on your skin (personal hc, I hate the feeling)

☁️ He gets very happy when he can get you into a conversation, and your rocking, and tapping the table because he knows it shows how you trust and love him :3

☁️ Gets worried if your hard surface is something like concrete but tries not to be too concern (will buy ointment for your knuckles just in case though)

☁️ Will ask what counts as stimming, since he understands but is still curious about some things

☁️ Let's you hold his sword if your interested in it but will snatch it when he thinks you're going to accidently cut yourself (and might have given you an injury by accident, apologizes with kisses, band aids, and cuddles)

☁️ If someone says something to you, they better grab onto a sturdy object because oh dang, that's a harsh almost dangerous wind only going in their direction, how weird?

☁️ Will buy you candy or something after the incident and claim that they know no knowledge and his brother cleary didn't give them a brain

☁️ Will inform the monks about it and puts the very few who judge in their places then and there

☁️ If he can find out what makes you happily stim or excitedly stim, he'll try his hardest to make sure it's around often

☁️ Will also try to get you out of a bas situation but honestly might jt just teleport you two outside so you can relax with the flowers

☁️ If outside feels like it's worsening it, he'll bring you to his room so you can cuddle and calm down <3

☁️ And secretly plot his revenge (again-)

🌟 Good with middlespace regressors, but doesn't take sass

🌟 Unless it's like, teasing sass, he can see a joke

🌟 You will get a thirty minute soft lecture that it'd not cool to sass people and be mean with your tone

🌟 If you don't realize your tone sometimes when talking though (I don't sometimes) he will take it into consideration

🌟 Has meet thousands of peo0pe who've stimmed before and is highly encouraging with yours

🌟 You want a cool place to sit down and rock? His meditation room is open, just please don't make a mess

🌟 ^ Usually he's big on you meditating with him, but if you need to move or fidget or do SOMETHING, he'll let you slide every time

🌟 (^ The monks can't call you out because you have God's favorite privileges >:3)

🌟 You need something to fidget with? Well he might have nothing on hand right now, but he'll scurry around to find something!!

🌟 Will buy you one of those fidget cubes but then also buys himself one because he found it really interesting (mortal technology man, it keeps advancing faster than he can catch up)

🌟 Your lips are chap and pealing too much when your biting or picking at them? He'll carry around chap stick so your not accidently hurting yourself

🌟 Will rock with you if you'd like, and enjoys sitting next to you peacefully (even if he isn't moving)

🌟 Honestly, no one will call you out for anything because of Liu Kang's presence alone

🌟 Mostly because no one wants to see a God's anger

🌟 But if you tell him someone made fun of you, he'll give you a soft smile ans tell you that nothings wrong with you. You just need to express your emotions differently than others and that's okay

🌟 And uh, the person will shakingly come apologize to you, Liu Kang smiling behind him before asking if you'd like a treat of some kind

🌟 If your too afraid to stim out in public, he'll try doing everything in his power to help you feel less vulnerable

📓The Plot of a WiP I haven't (and probably won't) write.

So the plot that became The City on the HIll was original intended to be part of a series mainly about the Master that in theory I still like the idea of, but I'm probably never going to actually write. Though certain parts I've already recycled and will continue to slowly do so for continuing the verse for The City on the Hill.

The idea for the Master was that instead of hiding at the end of the universe where the Doctor, Martha, and Jack find him as Yana... he instead went a different route and hid on a world with a massive temporal paradox going on. Unintentionally becoming an essential cog in the paradox, as it were, but that just made it that much better a hiding spot because the Time Lords couldn't risk pulling him out if they found him there.

So the Master turns himself into a human child and stumbles out into history on a little planet called Centra. He's taken in to an orphanage, struggles to get along with the other children, and fixates on a kid names Squall in a similar manner to his fixation on the Doctor. This kid the Master has become? Seifer Almasy, the future Sorceress Knight to one of the most dangerous Sorceresses in the history of Centra - who tried to create Time Compression which is similar to what Rassilon was trying to achieve when the Doctor stole the Moment to prevent Time's destruction/the ascendance of the Time Lords.

Ultimecia - this evil sorceress - fails, Seifer is aquitted of his crimes due to the mental manipulations he suffered as her knight/representative in the present, and he moves on with his life with his two best friends - Fujin and Raijin. After Raijin leaves their little mercenary group to become a chef - Seifer and Fu happy that he's pursuing his dreams even if it takes him away from them - and Quistis Trepe, one of Seifer's fellow orphanage kids, joins them having quit SeeD. She fought against Seifer during the Sorceress war and isn't big on explaining why she quit, but Seifer never really thought being SeeD suited her so he doesn't push. And when Quistis and Fujin fall in love, he has a few new guesses about what drove her away. But he's grown up since they were teens and mostly does not make an ass of himself towards Quistis and they finally wind up friends.

And then come the Cybermen. No one is quite sure where they came from or how, but they're discovered when a scientific expedition to the Moon goes wrong and the newly reactivated Cybermen transport down to the planet. Esthar hires Seifer, Fujin, and Quistis to take a preliminary look at whatever these Cyber things are before it can be decided if the military can handle it or they need to hire more elite SeeD to go in and destroy the menace. And it turns to tragedy because the Cybermen get their hands on Quistis and convert her. Seifer barely gets out with Fujin and they report back that the Cybermen need to be wiped out, but they're worried not even SeeD will be enough.

Meanwhile, over at Balamb Garden - home of the best of the best amongst the SeeD mercenaries, led by Squall Leonhart, knight and Husband to Sorceress Rinoa Heartilly - a blue box appears with a man clinging to the side. A man who drops dead at first, but then seems to come back to life all on his own...

Basically it's an FF8/Doctor Who crossover. I do still really like the plot for this one but I can never seem to muster the energy to actually write it. I think the tragedy with Quistis plays into it, since I do like her character very much but I didn't want her traveling with the Master and Fujin when Seifer regains his memories/Time Lord self and runs off in his TARDIS at the end. I intended for Fujin to eventually wind up with someone else as her second love. I considered Jenny, River, and a few others over time... but since I never wrote any of the fics, save for carving out the Ianto-is-a-time-lord plot... who Fujin's next love interest would be never quite got finalized.

So in the fic above, I do have some written for it. Not much, but I had some fun little details, like Seifer had given Fujin a broken watch when they first met. His only connection to his dead family and he gave it to her when Fujin became like a sister to him. And similar to the kid who could hear the remnants of the Doctor in the fob watch when the Doctor became human, Fujin could hear the Master in there sometimes. So she was aware of who Seifer was/used to be and hid it at the Master's insistence, for their safety.

But with the arrival of the Cybermen - the Master telling her what they are - she worries that whether it's safe or not she may need to open the watch. To her, the Master and Seifer are the same person, so opening the watch won't change who Seifer is. It will simply let him be his complete self. And she isn't exactly wrong about that either, as the Master devotes a lot of time after waking to helping Fujin find the Cyberman who was once Quistis Trepe and giving Fujin a chance to say goodbye before the last of what made Quistis... well, Quistis, is subsumed entirely by the Cyberman programming.

“Cybermen...” Seifer whispered, his eyes distant. It was if he was trying to recall something just beyond his mind's reach... something hidden within the fob watch. “What did you say?” Quistis asked. “They're called Cybermen,” Seifer said, his voice stronger. “I've heard of them before, but I can't remember where.” “I remember hearing about them too,” Fujin said and then lied with a single name. “Ultimecia.” The Sorceress from the future – the bitch who'd twisted Seifer up so badly that he'd gone mad under the pressure of her control – had never mentioned the Cybermen. But Seifer's memories of those months were cloudy at best. He'd believe her. Fujin felt guilt curl in her chest as he nodded.

RWBY: Soldier of Ice

Plot: Winter Schnee, the first (later former) heiress of the Schnee Dust Company, is enrolled into Atlas Academy to not be defined by her family name and legacy. As her only desire to be remembered as a soldier for when she graduates. There, Winter is experiencing her life as a leader of Team WNND (pronounced: wind). And even making friends in the process. But also experiencing a rivalry with a student of Haven Academy, Jupiter Vasilias, rogue young man and a member of Team ZRVT (Pronounced: serpent), whom despises Winter because of who her father, Jacques Schnee was.

Characters:

Team WNND

Winter Schnee - An heiress of the SDC and the leader of Team WNND. Being made the leader of her team, she was shunned by her teammates due to her background as a Schnee. But remained patient with her teammates as it came to her understanding that they needed time to adjust to her as she has to do with them. Winter only enrolled into Atlas Academy to become a soldier and not be defined with her maternal grandfather, Nicholas's legacy. Though she takes her grandfather's advise to heart that she needs to bind her mind and soul to find herself a path.

Perseus Nire - an heir to Nire Industries. Like Winter, he was disgusted with how the rich disregard the lives of those unfortunate despite being born to a wealthy family that involves tinkering machines and weapons. He was disowned by his father after he forbade him from enrolling into Atlas Academy. He didn't trust Winter at first due to her father's shading dealings. After this, her mother was arrested, and Natalie cuts ties from her father for failing to control her jealous behavior. Natalie enrolled Atlas Academy to not be defined by her beauty. There she met Perseus Nire, whom only interested in her for her for who she is. Her main weapons are the dual chains that her mother used for her sacrifice, and it was upgraded with spike gear attached on the ends. She is the allusion of Princess Andromeda from Greek Mythology.

Deshiro Kaze - am heir to the Kaze clan that served the Atlas Military for generations. And was next in line to lead his clan. His family was from a long line of samurais form his Mistralese ancestry. His grandmother was from Atlas descent, while his grandfather was born from Mistral. Making Deshiro's grandparents are the first interracial couple to reside in Atlas after marriage. His weapon was his katana. But for mysterious reasons, he wears a blindfold, even though he is not blind. His semblance creates waves of the wind every time he uses his sword. He is the allusion of the Japanese god of the wind, Fujin.

Team ZRVT

Zerena Slithers - The leader of Team ZRVT and the only female in the group from Haven Academy. Zerena was held captive as a slave to the aristocracies in Atlas as a young girl due to her being a snake-tailed faunus. Only for her to rally her fellow captives and fight back. Unlocking her semblance to turn people into stone. She wields a scythe/whip due to being taught by Qrow Branwen, making her one of Qrow's first student to have used a scythe besides before Ruby Rose. When it was turned into an electric whip, it was infused with electric dusts. Zerena is an allusion to Medusa from Greek Mythology.

Roth Mandle - A young man with a semblance to control the vegetation around the environment. He is a herbalist-in-training studying plants since his mother's flower shop came into a close. His main weapon is a battle axe that also serves as a minigun. Roth is silent, but he means well for his teammates. With his herbology skills, Roth can establish a remedy needed for healing, or a weapon for poison to use on his enemies. Though enemies with Team WNND, he respected them for their way of working together. He is an allusion to Jack and the Beanstalk.

Jupiter Vasilias - A blue-haired teenage boy who is rebellious and filled with anger issues. He is a student under Qrow Branwen (whom Jupiter idolized). He came from a rare bloodline of warriors that used aquatic-based semblances. Jupiter is well-known to be a heartbreaker and dating multiple girls, only to cheat the next. He has a grudge against the Schnee Family due to his mother's cases against CEO Jacques Schnee, and he retaliated with shutting the law firm down. And he hated his daughter, Winter for that, and would prefer to her as "Ice Demon." And hated the wealth and Atlas as a result. His main weapon is a spear that also serves as a saber naginata and a sniper gun. His semblance allows Jupiter to convert water into mist.

Tyler Shepard - A wolf-eared faunus and a thief. Tyler was raised by a tribe of bandits sometime after he somewhat ended up orphaned. Tyler has a skills for thievery and was long time friends with Jupiter, whom they formed a connection through business of revenge against the aristocracies. His friendship with Jupiter is similar to Sun's friendship with Neptune. Only he mostly followed for whatever Jupiter says and taught him how to steal. His main weapons are dual tomahawks that also shifts into pistols, dubbed Alpha and Beta. His semblance allows Tyler to steal other people's semblances by physical contact to use until their aura runs out.

So I read your post about fujoshis and I agree with most of it. the thing I didn't really understand though was what you said about how despite the fact that women who fetishise gay men do exist, the Fujoshi doesn't exist, and is a TERF invention? I'm gonna assume by "fujoshi" people mean a very specific kind of gay fetishiser. So not an "omg I've always wanted a gay best friend" kind of person, but more of a .. "The dreaded fujoshi reads way too many BL mangas and manhwas and is obsessed with gay men" kind of thing. In my experience, and also based on hearsay from the queers in my country, these types of people do exist- though to be completely fair I've never met nor heard of a grown woman who fits this description. Mostly it's teenagers and kids who are- presumably- girls, though heck if I know lol. To be frank, as a transmasc queer guy, I don't give two shits what people get off to in private. I could not care less if the fujoshi "fetishises" me in that sense. In fact I really, really do not want to know.

Which ties in neatly with my next point- whilst I don't care about what people do in their private time, I do care about how they treat real life queer people. Both offline and online. Overstepping boundaries with real life queer men, harassing them online and offline, stuff like that, I've seen it and heard of it, and it's really gross. Even that "smol bean" stuff, honestly, whilst not a full on hate crime, it does count as a microaggression. It can trigger dysphoria, at the very least.

What's worse is that the local fujoshi population is homophobic as fuck in real life. Like they'll say things about how it's a "sin" and they don't think real queer people should have marriage equality, that sort of thing. Even if most the offenders are kids and teens it's still really frustrating.

so I guess my question is.. I'm not really sure how you've come to the conclusion that the "creepy, harasser of gay men" fetishiser is purely a TERF invention and even if she were to exist she's perfectly harmless and simply a misguided ally? I'm pro-fujin, btw. I have strong opinions on the TERFy SWERFy appropriation of the Japanese word fujoshi, and I don't think the answer is to gatekeep all queer media from perceived "women"- I just think that there's some nuance to be had in the Fetishiser Discourse.

i've had this ask in my inbox for quite some time. however, i haven't been in the right headspace to discuss politics in-depth, so i put this on the backburner to return to later. having thought it over a bit, i think i'm ready to continue the conversation. i'm sorry for taking so long, but i hope this response is satisfactory.

first, an amendment to my initial post-- reading back through it, i'm not as proud of my tone. in parts i sound preachy, and in others it just straight up doesn't make sense. i'm chalking this up to my neurodivergence and difficulties with portraying what i mean. i'm not going to rewrite the whole thing, but in summary, the points i made were two-fold:

1) that the archetype of "cishet woman who fetishizes gay men," --aka, the 'western fujoshi' -- was most certainly fed into, if not coined by, TERFs; and

2) that this had a lasting impact on the transmasculine community (and, on a broader scale, the queer community as a whole.)

having said that, i'll move on. to address the meat of your statement:

as you stated, you've never actually encountered this "dreaded fujoshi." neither have i! for the most part, i do not believe they exist, as i've already mentioned and will come back to in a moment.

but also as i've mentioned, i do believe there are people out there who, in one way or another, reduce gay men to nothing more than a fetish or pornography while doing nothing to prove themselves as allies to those same gay men outside of sex. what i mean to say is that these people do not exist in massive numbers. i've certainly never seen them in my almost-decade of being in queer spaces, and i've never spoken to someone who has. you have mentioned as much. i am not referring to them when i refer to "misguided allies" as you've put it -- they're fetishizers. this happens to every queer and/or marginalized identity in some shape or form, not unique to gay men. i'll touch on this later.

rather, the women i'm referring to are those i believe to be closer to misguided allies than a genuine threat -- in my (and your) experience, tend to be teenagers and young girls. in most cases, they aren't straight. and in a large number of cases, they are trans themselves, whether they're aware of it or not.

what i see as likely happening is these teens and kids are just discovering what being queer is after being sheltered their entire life. mind you, i'm referring to western society. i can't comment on, say, asian queer spaces. i'm not asian! but for the most part, it seems like they are genuinely misguided children who are just learning about being gay or trans and politics and their views on the world.

i'm not sure how old you are, anon, but the younger generations were raised on technology. a lot of us have been surrounded by politics and news at our fingertips for our entire lives. the most likely scenario here is that these young teens realize they're queer (&/or find queer media interesting) and, not knowing much better, they become fascinated with this "taboo" subject that has been inaccessible to them up until now.

it reminds me of the twilight era -- wherein young girls were enamored with the plot (or maybe, the pretty boys) because it was made for women. fanfic and media that centers queer people are largely made by minorities. it's easy for these teens to see themselves in it; or, in the case of women, to consume it without having to worry about misogyny. this is a similar topic that i won't dive too deeply into, but the appeal of boylove to women because of the lack of women is something that has been brought up in discourse surrounding the term fujoshi, and i'm sure you're familiar with it. so having said that, i'm sure we can both see why it might be appealing to this demographic.

i think, for the most part, what's described here --the fascination of gay men, the 'smol beans', the referring to it as 'sinful'-- is a misguided reaction from young queer people who don't know better. a lot of the current discourse in the community is being perpetrated by that same demographic (see: anything happening on twitter) so it isn't too far off to believe that those same people could hold misguided views. i think if we're going to talk about problems surrounding the younger queers perpetrating queerphobic rhetoric, it's a much bigger conversation than the fujoshi one, and it certainly doesn't end here.

it's more likely these girls are going through internalized issues than externalized. and that is certainly a problem -- but one that needs to be handled differently than it currently is.

side note, i'm not sure what 'local fujoshi population' you're referring to. we've established that adult women (or, really, anyone over the age of 16 in my experience) do not typically fall under this archetype nor exist on any massive scale. the examples you've given are just textbook homophobia -- they have nothing to do with the Myth of The Fujoshi, so to speak. anyone can be homophobic, not just this specific genre of women or whatever.

we're referring to two different things here. "creepy, harasser of gay men" is not a common type of person, not in the fujoshi sense. i've said as much.

i specifically brought up the transmedicalist example in my initial post because it mirrors the same issue. essentially, transmedicalists claim that being transgender is becoming trendy and not taken as a serious issue. they have this idea that there's this terrible AFAB 'woman' who binds because it's 'trendy' and uses neopronouns because she is disrespectful to "real trans people" or even delusional. they point to xenogenders, neopronouns, nonbinary people, and anyone they don't believe to be "trans enough" as an example of this.

this "transtrender crowd" does not actually exist. it is an exaggeration of what they think is happening in order to fearmonger and push their point. there MIGHT be cis people pretending to be transgender because they think it's trendy. but the thing is, if we treat everyone like they're 'pretending', we're going to divide our community, and we won't get to the bottom of the actual issue (that, again, does not exist.) if we're so afraid of this hypothetical scenario, we'll only cause more infighting. we need to believe people in good faith -- this same argument applies to the 'misguided ally' thing above.

THIS is what i meant when i said that this 'fujoshi' you have described does not exist. she is an exaggeration of what people think is happening. and it is that exaggeration that TERFs specifically have created and fed into. they created the idea of a 'woman who fetishizes gay men so much she wants to be one', and then it got repeated -- so far that the transmasculine community has fallen for it, and that the word 'fujoshi' no longer just means 'a woman who reads BL' to most queer people.

this fetishization we have described might occur occasionally, yes. there MIGHT be cishet women who only see gay men as her Smol Yaoi Beans. but it does not exist on a widespread scale -- not to the degree where it warrants this much fearmongering, and the people who are mostly affected by this fear are transmasculine individuals.

the 'fujoshi' being referred to directly stems from TERFs' misogyny and transphobia. they want us to fight each other, and they have succeeded. that was my point.

and, before i go, there's one more thing i forgot to mention initially. you didn't bring this up, but it occurred to me that we haven't discussed how this issue affects asian gay men. in the west, of course -- again, i'm not from asia.

i think if anyone was going to be hurt most by the Fujoshi Trope, it's queer asian men. except, i am white. i cannot tell you how discrimination against queer asian men looks or how it is perpetrated. i cannot give you my personal experiences with it because i do not have them. it exists, for sure -- and i think that it's a part of a larger issue, namely anti-asian racism and queerphobia as a whole. that is something i want to leave to queer asian men -- if any would like to comment on it, i am always eager to listen and adjust my views as such.

taking this into account, that is the only point i could see towards 'women fetishizing gay men' (aka the bastardized western form of a "fujoshi"). i believe my points still stand, namely of this being a TERF-created issue. of course, if anyone wants to discuss it more, my inbox is open.

Comfort character asks: Raiden mk edition:

1. how long have i known about them: omg I've been a mk fan since baby nerd days. In my teens. Raiden was my go to man besides kung lao. They are THE BOIS ok? Like kung lao was my main dude,still is but lao was more of an all around i just love him ok?. But raiden was A HEARTTHROB CUTIE for me. But he also became my comfort too. (Shang was my fave og baddie and he will always be that one bih but this aint about him rn)

2. whether or not they’ve ever made me cry: ok several times. Like why can't y'all be nice to him? What did he ever do but help the best he could. The elder gods are assholes and none of y'all are grateful. That's why he turned dark in that one timeline. Because of Y'ALL! So if you want happy raiden? Put some respect on his name! Makes me cry. He needs a hug and a long ass vacation. Thats why fujin is here to help. Because y'all he broke his back for you. Ungrateful asses.

3. whether or not i have any merchandise/objects with them: i want some. But a bih is broke.

4. what about their personality i like: ok ok look we have so many interpretations of him. But for me? My take on raiden? His comforting presence,his wisdom,his compassion. Lord his PATIENCE! like damn

5. what about their backstory makes me emotional: his burdens. Omfg raiden plz let fujin help! Good lord raiden plz hunny sit down and relax in a hot spring! Raiden doesn't deserve this shit.

6. the moment of theirs that made me the saddest: any death or falling. Like i don't care for dark raiden (but i dont blame him either ya know) it's more just too sad for me to like this universe of raiden.

7. the moment of theirs that made me the happiest: when he finally gets a fucking break. Come here rai,i got you.

8. something about them that made me laugh: omg raiden pulling cheeky banter is the best. Because its so sassy but dry. Like how? Only he can pull this off.

9. my favorite canon outfit of theirs: honestly raiden looks cool in all his outfits. Do i have to pick?

10. my favorite moment with them in canon: ok look my brain isn't capable of retaining info like that well. But honestly any fight with him and shang is epic or him fighting shao khan (tho sadly they make him so weak sauce when fighting shao khan compared to shang tsung. And shangs pretty tough. And it doesn't feel fair and is bias af)

11. my favorite relationship they have with another character: eh i love his big brotherly vibe with his bro fujin. But his mentorship with kung lao and liu kang is wholesome too. Honestly him just being big bro to everyone is nice. 💖

12. what i like about the way the fandom portrays them: eh i guess i like it when the fans can actually write him domestic and do it without being boring or stiff. But i haven't seen many good portrayals yet. Only a few. But i will say. I loooooove when people talk about the temple and describe the interior. Like they do other things so well but people be lacking in the character development part.

13. what i dont like about the way the fandom portrays them: they make him too stiff. Now raiden is responsible,wise,and a bit more stern than his brother. But he isn't emotionless,monotonous or harsh. Is he a bit tsundere? A tiny bit,at first or for a small sec. But it never lasts long. He'll let loose more easier. Unlike a certain shirai ryu we all know n love. Raiden just gets flustered easy. But he welcomes it at the same time? Compassion and his connection with humanity is his #1 trait. Remember that. Him and fujin are similar but the key difference is,rai has a few more notches under his belt and had to take on more bullshit than his brother emotionally. Rai gets overburdened easy. So thats why fujin it there to help carry said burdens. They go hand n hand. Just like the mythos. Where there is thunder n lightning there is wind. And where they are. A storm brews. And after the storm? Peace,calm,and life giving energy n water. (Sorry to get all zen and philosophical on you guys)

14. what i liked about the way canon portrayed them: He did gets some oomf to him. But i dunno. Canon has been weird to raiden. Also unfair too. So i dunno really.

15. what i dont like about the way canon portrayed them: well i already mentioned above and in other posts i don't care for dark raiden. So other than that i got nothing else. Fans are more of an issue if anything. But even then its whatever.
