as one of kuroo’s childhood friends, it was a privilege to watch him grow. who knew that the boy that helped you on the swings would be the captain of nekoma high school volleyball club. you still remembered all the gifts he gave you, and even all the birthday cards he handed to you was in the drawer of your bedside table. you could never forget those childish memories you’ve had with him and all the ups and downs that you’ve had. the past 12 years spent with him are priceless. you’d give up anything for it. you were far more than grateful to have the privilege of him growing up alongside you. he’s grown to become very athletic and smart, and not to mention, a very attractive man in your eyes. although, his hair never changed. it had always been the same.

spending time with kuroo was what brought you most joy, but would also set your heart blazing with fire. you’ve developed a sense of romantic feelings towards him and you couldn’t help it. you’d often ponder and think about those four words he said as a child, wondering if it wouldn’t just be an imagination, but would be something that would come true.

watching kuroo play volleyball reminded you of all the times you’ve spent together over the years. as you cheered him enthusiasticly from the sidelines, memories of your childhood slowly flooded back. the cats came out on top in the end, and you couldn’t be more proud of him and his team.

“ congratulations on your victory! ” you squealed to the team with happiness and excitement. you were truly so proud of them, especially kuroo, your best friend. you helped them pack up, and soon after went to walk home with kuroo since you’d always been close neighbors too.

“ kuroo, this is for you ! i figured that you might have gotten a little hungry after the match so i made you some sushi! ”

“ thanks a lot, [name]! it looks really good! do you want to stop by at the park for a bit for me to eat this? ” he asked, receiving a repetitive nod from you afterwards.

later on the day, the both of you plopped on the bench on the park. it wasn’t too dark yet, so you had some time to stall with kuroo at the park. you couldn’t help but reflect on how much had changed since the early days, and how much had stayed the same.

“ so how’s my sushi? ” you competively asked.

“ pretty good, but i suppose the ones i make are still better.” he replied with a devilish grin displayed on his face. you put so much effort into those sushi, only to find out that he still makes better ones.

“ if you really think so, let me have my sushi back! ” you said as you slid over the bench to him as you tried to snatch away the bright yellow container filled with the sushi you gave him.

“ hey, i was still hungry- ”

“ are you really that hungry? or are you just inlove with the flavors of my sushi? ” you snickered, coming a little bit closer to him, flustering him a bit. you weren’t going to back down one bit.

a smirk appeared on his face and he said, “ you’re pretty close to me aren’t you, [name]? ” you thought you had control, but it seemed like it was flipped around now.

“ oh sorry, i didn’t realize.” you replied, not really sorry.

“ you think i care? i wouldn’t mind it if you came even closer. ” he said with a confident smug, his ego being boosted into a high level. he carefully took the yellow container from your hands and placed down on the other side of the bench, having his other hand placed on your waist, when you blurted out a gasp, cheeks flushed.

“ what’s up? scared of me, kitty? ”

“ as if i’d be scared of you. ” you replied with a scoff following afterwards.

“ come closer then. ” he said as his hand went up to your hips, pulling you close as he crashed his lips into yours, as he captivated you into a lovingly aggressive kiss. after a moment, out of breath, you pulled away.

“ god i really have fallen inlove with you, [name]. be my girl? ”

“ yes of course. ” you gleefully replied. as you left the park, you suddenly caught up with the memories of you and kuroo running around as a child. everything was so fun and playful, but you never knew that this day would ever come. as you both left the park, you couldn’t help but think about how much the two of you had grown since your childhood.

“ let’s see what the future holds for us, yeah kitten? ” he said as he trailed off after dropping you home.

im gonna do a list of headcanons bc i have too many scattered thoughts about how this could play out!!

drift eats you out like he's on a mission. oral fixation type. putting himself in a 'lower' position and keeping you satisfied gets him off and makes him feel good. the type to give a lot during sex and put his partner(s) first. at the same time it's gratifying to him and he can overload without being touched.

Doing this completely anon cause I'm genuinely scared of the backlash that may occur - This is controversial and also contradictory so im willing to be shat on for this hot take.

Charles cannot seriously be hoping to win races and be a world champion. I've got no proof just my own absurd theories but I seriously cannot see him becoming a wc. Lando is the same. They both are so alike. One bad race or bad moment and they shit on themselves and lose control and take a week to bounce back from it. I as much as I have love for them and am starting to think they genuinely believe they will win a dc. Oscar and Carlos are the only ones who could on either team as it currently stands. Unlike merc where George could in the team even tho he is lewis' teamate he actually could. But Charles and lando can't unless they change their mindset and team. And tbh to some extent I see both Charles and lando not nearly serious enough about f1 at the moment. And I know 'social media is fake and only shows so much blah blah blah we dont know them personally' but if they gave a fuck they'd risk the money and try and get into redbull. They'd risk thier paychecks and get the money invested into the team. And again I know I don't know what is happening behind the scenes and I'm whatever for saying this but Charles won't win a dc and neither will lando. Max is by far the most authentic, marketable, talented and most relatable driver and I'm a lewis girl (well more lance than lewis but just showing my bias that typically happens with lewis fans).

- neither will win a wdc

- this celebrity branding thats going on is fucking ridiculous, lewis and max (although he's not nearly as willing to want the title) are the only ones who truly deserve it

- Daniel while yes is charismatic isn't all that talented anymore and would do better in another series. (I included Daniel cause I thought of the celeb status and him)

- and also drivers can only be so relatable and likeable as long as they stay grounded and don't seem so big for their boots and tbh again as a lewis fan (initally) I'm just not really caring for him and the va va voom of him anymore (that was wierd admitting) and when Charles is getting more 'celeb-like' he becomes more unlikable same with lando...

WOAH. Okay we about to get trashed for this but ya know what, idc, I partially agree with you.

I don’t think Charles, or Lando, will ever win a WDC. I think of the two of them Charles is the one with the real shot, because I think he has a much stronger mentality than Lando. I don’t think the pressure gets to him for pressure’s sake the way it does with Lando. I think where Charles knows he doesn’t have the equipment he gets desperate, and mistakes happen. Whereas Lando just can’t seem to hold it together over a weekend, and I think a lot of what affects Lando happens outside the car, which is why he would crumble in a title fight. That said, I think time will run out for Charles, George, Carlos, Lando, etc. Those teams won’t catch up to Red Bull before ‘26 and by then Oscar, and whoever else has come in from the next generation will be younger and hungrier, and the next cycle will start. For me, they will miss their window. I won’t say for sure but that’s my feeling, and if by the end of next season the Ferrari team is not operating like Red Bull (meaning they have a clear #1 driver, and their strategy and pit stops are where they need to be) it will be clear that not even Fred can change the tide and they are an unserious team where Charles will waste his talent.

I disagree that it would be a smart idea to get into Red Bull. Tbh I don’t think Red Bull would want Charles, but that’s another issue. That team is Max’s and it will be until he leaves (or suddenly can’t drive a car anymore but that won’t happen). As a driver, you have to think you’re the best driver, but I don’t think either Charles or Lando is delulu enough to think that they could beat Max in Max’s Red Bull (and this is not me saying they build the car for Max, I’m saying that when Newey hands you a car and Max is saying “make it faster” and everything you do to the car to make it driveable only makes it slower…you are fighting a losing battle). Red Bull would not only be a waste of time for them, but yes, probably a big financial loss, because they both benefit from marketing themselves as #1 drivers at the moment.

I have to say, I agree that it doesn’t seem to me that Charles is as committed to being WDC as he could be. Disclaimer - this is purely based off vibes, I don’t know the guy. I’m not saying he’s not doing his job, he absolutely is, but the self promotion levels, at a time when the results are not resulting…signals to me he’s branching out. I talked a lot last season about how I think he’s transitioning out of the “Il Predestinato” image, and how I felt part of that is because it is becoming less likely that he will win a WDC. I think it’s clever of him to think about doing other things though, because so much of what it takes to get a dc is out of his control, and he doesn’t even have the bare bones of a team or a car that will let him challenge for a title. There is no point in him waiting around for Ferrari to get it together, if they get it together he can revisit but right now…I think it’s in his best interest to get his bag.

I don’t think there’s many similarities between Charles and Lando’s path here, Lando is a wholeeee other essay 😂

But I disagree that the branding is ridiculous, I think it’s a logical thing to do. Yes these guys make good money from their teams but that won’t last forever, they have pretty short careers. It’s good for them to use their platform to build income streams for themselves that will go beyond their F1 career. Charles previously hadn’t been able to do that and now he is, which is definitely a positive. I will give Max and his team props here because I think he’s sneakily got the best alternative income streams of anyone. Verstappen.com must absolutely be raking it in with those grandstand deals, the merch is consistent, his brand deals are minimal but they’re big and they stick with him. My point is, drivers do need alternative income streams, especially when their brand can’t just be “I win”.

Lewis a master at this, I will admit, I just don’t like his brand. But it is consistent and he has managed to transcend F1 as his own brand which will keep him comfortable for the rest of his life, so good for him. I don’t buy into the brand but the brand is branding, I have to recognise.

I don’t really get Charles’s brand identity yet lol so I can’t tell if how likeable it will be. I mean, currently he is very liked, it’s possible it will stay that way. I really couldn’t say. I think Lando is about to have an unlikeable season but I also think his “babygirl brat” thing is pretty amusing and won’t ultimately alienate his fan base.

It was long but it was fun. The villagers will come for us with pitchforks for this opinion though.

My little fucking guys

Im so fucking bad when it comes to writing hcs or character analysis. Im going to try it out but i hope someone who’s a writer and whos interested this pairing gets to explain it all better than i can.

Everything under the cut theres some talk about sex at the end but its brief

I want to preface this that despite the fact that im very much into shipping every time i enter a new fandom i dont think any termina characters were able to directly confess their feelings to eachother. They simply have too much going on in mind, too busy surviving or hardly trust eachother. Despite the amount of events happening, i think only 3 days is super short amount of time for these guys to truly be sure of their feelings for eachother and dont have time to think over it ( only Samarie truly makes sense to me cuz she knew Marina before that even if its one sided)

Their parallels

Both of them were doomed to grow up fast in order to survive because of political and religious circumstances that neither had control over. Daan lost his family because they were fervent Sylvian worshippers, and Osaa grew in the chaos of the religious wars ravaging his country (perhaps that's how he lost his father in the process, but that's just a theory). Also, their respective situations parallel each other as they focus on both the traces of the old gods Sylvian (Daan’s parents being bunnymask cultists) and Gro-goroth (war and chaos in Abyssonia). It doesn't mean anything in particular about the characters themselves, but these two old gods did complete each other.

They both had an advanced education with Daan being an apprentice butler and modern medicine while O’saa studied spirituality and religion.

During adulthood, they both went through unspeakable horrors. For Daan, it was war; he only managed to keep his sanity with the letters he exchanged with Elise. For O'saa, it was being haunted by nightmares and his exploration of the dungeon of fear and hunger. These events traumatised them, and they had their own ways to cope with them, but Daan is visibly depressed.

Both seem to have an interest in fashion as they are self conscious on the way they dress. (Daan hates dirtying his clothes and O’saa likes being complimented on them)

Oh so youre both men with two “a ” in your names

Interpretation and headcanons

-O'saa had several people unknowingly open up about their problems at the confessional booth. Daan, who was wandering alone in the church with his thoughts eating him up, decided to give it a go, even if he wasn't religious, even if no one would respond. Part of him felt like it was sort of therapeutic. But to his surprise, someone did respond on the other side of the booth. Daan’s interest perks up when he notices the lack of professionalism from what he would assume to be a priest. They were judgmental and cold, but also understanding and interested at the same time. The rational thoughts of someone who doesn’t follow a specific belief and has their own morals they want to stand by. Yeah nothing like a priest Daan also hears some sort of familiarity with the voice and slowly realises who owns it. Daan would start playfully answering questions until O’saa couldn't keep up his identity. Unlike the other participants, he doesn't come out of the booth laughing; it’s just Daan looking at him smugly while the yellow mage’s expression is between disappointment and irritation. But regardless, they did have a nice talk in there, not that either of them would admit it.

-tbh a lot of their relationship is a back and forth one of them making a joke, the other roll their eyes and they would reply with “why are you always so serious???”

-O’saa secretely likes making Daan laugh. He keeps telling himself because his humor is more of his taste but its mostly cuz Daan always looks so gloomy

-Actually, these two don't know how to express their emotions. Daan sees how distant O’saa is from everyone and kind of wants him to be able to settle in with the group. O'saa, who doesn’t like to show his sympathy, still tries to make Daan laugh at times because he seems worryingly miserable and sad (his own jokes tend to make him laugh more than Daan, however). They just try to cheer each other up in the most complex brain gymnastic game by poking fun and making bad jokes with the worst timing possible, which mostly confuses the both of them more than anything else.

- O’saa doesnt like Daan’s smoking and drinking habits. But he does admit that it gives him a certain charm and the drinks he makes for him

-When O’saa revealed the identity of the Sulfur god to Daan there was this sting of empathy he felt for him despite Nas’hara’s scolding. And didn’t want to reveal to much not just for the sake of forbidden otherworldly knowledge but to spare him from such heavy info when he’s already going though so much grief.

-Daan was, deep down, extremely grateful for O’saa sharing his knowledge. When they met later, he insisted on taking care of O'saa's wounds after he was shot by August’s arrows. But O’saa is always on guard and asks Daan to take his vest off while he holds on to it and his scalpel. He will grab the back of his neck, warning Daan that If he tries anything funny, he will deal him a fatal blow. Despite the fact that it was supposed to create tension, the two were never this physically close to each other before…

-Daan would notice O’saa fragrance and Osaa would notice Daan’s lipstick

-Now sex is a difficult topic. Something that forces them into a state they so desperately tried to avoid their whole lives. The feeling becoming undone by sharing something with someone special or showing vulnerability. A primal feeling, feeling alive. They had a quick fuck to release steam. They try to convince themselves that its for personal satisfaction or giving a helping hand but it ever hardly felt like that. They still had this connection they refused or couldn’t to share with spoken words. It never went too far, but it was never bad. Quite the contrary, the sex was good but always too short

-O’saa realised he had developped a worshipping kink because of Daan. But Daan noticed it much earlier.

like. ok ive definitely spoken abt it offhand sometime before so im just going to use this opportunity to aimlessly ramble ok? ok. hyperfixation trap card.

like yeah theres the whole 'only having rep thats robots and aliens and etc' thing which is very much a fair and appropriate response, but also like. at a point you Do just kinda have to go 'Man Just Look At Her.'

i certainly couldnt say it as well as other folks, but... Man Just Look At Her. theres so many threads that are Literally Right There, its kinda hard Not to. id have to study again n cite my sources or whatever but also this is my house. ok.

like theres the obvious 'i see you as a friend' interaction with her and roland sometime mid-to-late ruina, which is. again. Its Right There. but its also the way she looks in lobcorp, and the instant she gets any agency she immediately veers in a completely different direction. (as a reclamation of self, as another small rebellion, as an exploration of how She would like to present herself and be seen)

its that interaction with xiao, her genuine confusion towards the concept of lovers, what they are, what makes it so different from any other sort of person. (as a jab towards her own isolation, the values she was made to uphold, her unfamiliarity towards cityfolk and the ways they carry themselves-- and that seeming contradiction of that affection vs. the way she was told cityfolk Work.)

angela, to me, feels like the type of character to simply Be. for lack of a better term. its a difficult concept to Describe in a way that makes sense, (despite me being, how do you say, In The Same Boat.) its something i could see her toss around out of curiosity, but honestly just... not really care for. she has things to do.

like... angela is just. a very cut and dry character, to put it in a way. she just kinda states things as they are, sometimes rather bluntly. its hard to elaborate because things simply Are. plain and simple, no need to fuss over it. and thats what this feels like itd be, yknow?

also iam just shrimply. forever an angela+roland qpr truther. tbh. like i dont know what the Hell those two have going on but you literally Cannot separate them. i hesitate to call it 'love,' because. well yes, but also no. but also kind of? but not quite. again, it just Is. they simply Are.

its one of those things that just feels Odd seeing her in any other context, in regards to romance or whatever. which is tied to a whole slew of other problems only tangentially related to the subject (shipping content bias, character simplification, and so on and so on,) but its just... man she would Not fucking say that. she would not Do that, she would not Act that way.

like i certainly believe it Is possible to have romantic interpretations with her, but its gonna be. Specific. with the way she carries herself, how she acts, and how she reacts to things. even with the romantic elements, itd still dip into aro experience territory, if you know what im saying. like whoever it is, this shit isnt going to fit into Roles and Archetypes, like how a lot of folks like to write ship content. for lack of a better descriptor, its gonna be Weird.

and thats honestly whats so frustrating about it! you Can have an interesting through-line and interpretation of that sort of thing, but a lot of the time whenever i (rarely) see it, its just... Typical Beauty Standards, Hot Secretary Lady, Scary Controlling Whatever the hell like... i hate t judge but cmon guys we can do so much better than that. ironically, wheres the Love? the respect for who she is, the curiosity on exploring that sort of thing with who she Is? guys come On...

which. grain of salt, because its not like i search out ship content, yknow. im not gonna speak like an authority for stumbling onto stuff sometimes. the fact that it isnt so popular and in-your-face is genuinely refreshing honestly, but. tangent.

alrighty so after some reflection and getting some outside stuff prioritized Im done some blog housework so I can get comfortable here again.

im still gonna continue my hiatus until november cause the rest of October still has a lot of rl appointments and stuff going on. ill be nuking my ask and drafts to get into maximum turtle plot overdrive and just start things clean, but here's the skinny under cut:

. Ive went and cleaned up my followers list. mostly of inactive blogs, non-mutual or blogs that haven't reached out or interacted at all. I use to think I liked a busier dash but I think trying to keep up with it had been giving me anxiety even if my muses weren't involved in anything plot wise. FOMO has been really killing my vibe more then anything and I need to cut that habit out.

you're a-okay to refollow though! I'll do the same. none of this was done out of malice or a personal dislike, and I get being so busy w/ life and personal plots that you cant interact with everyone in a convenient moment. but if you see this as an opportunity to reach out then by all means! that and I might've accidentally unfollowed one or two of you cause side-blog deal, clumbsy thumbs, and uuh, dont mind me realizing that later down the line-my bad!

. unless carefully plotted otherwise, anything outside my own canons, affiliated blogs/mains or plots is no longer canon to my own. any interaction or thread initiated towards my muses will default fall into my lore/verse unless vice versa or its plotted and etc etc. It's no longer just hanging there in the void so to speak. I need to feel more in control of my own narrative I think and trying to puzzle a lot of contradicting outside plots, dash events, etc has been mentally taxing when rp shouldn't be occupying so much space or anxiety to begin with lol.

this isn't to say everything thats happening in the dash or w/ other characters isn't important ofc! and I still want to participate; it'll just fall under a crack/non-canon tag. if things end up lining up p' well with whats going on here then I might take it into canon. This is p' much what I've been doing to begin with, it's just more concrete now and Im being more careful of what Im willing to accept now. Im ofc open to discussing stuff! DMs and disco for those who have it are open always even if I take a moment to get to it!

@bambi-disciple wrote a really good post on BS and if it really works (which ill link to at the bottom of this post), and while i have been on a sort BS hiatus for a little while, i wanted to write a little about some of what i have noticed for me?

At the time when id first run across it, the bimbo and hypno scene were still very cis, het, and essentialist. Most bimbofication material out there was heavily cishet. some the point of being actively transphobic. Hell, tbh a lot of it still feel pretty antitrans... but anyway...

I started listening to BS in April of 2021. I had heard of it before, and might have even listen to the initial release once or twice a few years before but had been a little reluctant to really dive into it. Id played with hypno before (ok, like lots), but BS seemed like it might want to be more extreme than i was ready for and very cis woman centric.

Skip forward a few years, and it wasnt until i started seeing some of the bimbofication and stepfordization creators making more gender inclusive content that instarted feeling a little more comfortable dipping my toe back in.

I am a trans woman. I went on hormones and socially transitioned almost two decades ago and in the kink scene for over three. I knew how to do my makeup and be cute and all those things, but like, i wasnt keeping up with them.

I was needing that internal drive and encouragement to be prettier. To push myself further. So for me it was less about self acceptance as a girl or submissive and more about wanting to be a better good girl. And i figured i might want to check out if BS could help.

Im one of those folks who would check all three of the boxes described by @bambi-disciple - wanting it to happen, beleiving it could happen, ans being aroused by the idea. Even with those they doesnt always mean automatic success. My mind often "stays awake" in trance, i am very reluctant to give up control (even when i think i want to and even to myself), and just a host of other issues which keep me from.being consistent or internal resistance to asepcts to the file. There have been some changes ive noticed tho:

* im much more open with my partners. Im still reclutant or shy to talk about my stuff, because i dont want them to be uncomfortable. But that might be more me projecting on them.

* wearing making up much more constantly again. Almost every day or at least when going out.

* pink. A lot more pink. And much more comfortable wearing pink. Previously it was all mostly black.

* eating healther. I now eat a lot more healthier. Salad are much more common for me. As well dried fruits and the like.

* much more casual in my writing. More willing to make typos and let them slide. More willing to just use txt speak and abbrevations and such.

* more comfort with posting myself on the interent, including a brief stint of doing porn sadly the latest stunt feom my stalker (hi stalker) wrecked the relationship with the studeo i was working with + i simply dont have the time with having to go into work and taking care of the family and home. Still it was super fun.

Those are the biggest changes ive noticed over the past couple years. I havent listen to BS for a few months rn. Im not really sure what my future plans are with it. I will prob stsrt up again at some point, but like i have a lot of upcoming things whjch require a lot of focus. It's like i have this desire to relapse but im holding back? Idk.

I dont really pay attention to the theory side of hazbin hotel fandom, but i had a thought on what alastor's deal might be so im throwing my hat in the ring (also feel free to call the theory dumb again, not a theory person)

This is focusing more on the terms, because a lot of people are convinced that the deal either limits Alastor's power or strengthens it, but deals in hazbin hotel don't seem to work that way. All of the deals we have seen terms for have tangible limits or effects. Valentino only has full control over Angel in the studio, Husk lost his title and presumably the souls he owned as an overlord. A flat boost or debuff to Alastor doesn't fit, the terms would have to be more tangible. So what if the terms made it so Alastor can't kill overlords.

Mimzy mentioned that Alastor hasn't killed any overlords recently or done anything like it, it would be a tangible limit on his power, and would be a big enough disadvantage for Al to be desperate to break off the deal despite whatever advantage it might have given him. Also to get meta, writing wise it would give Alastor issues in dealing with the Vees in season two, and even explain the deal he made with Vaggie, to give a plausible explanation to him not dealing with them in universe.

Tbh i dont have that much evidence, but i think its a fun theory that fits with my personal thoughts on the deal.

OO HI!! SORRY FOR BEING SO LATE!!

In general I love the fact hes a morally grey character that in general doesnt seems to care for what other think of him! (except if hes wearing a gimp suit obviously lol) and his smugness as well, for postal 2 dude I love his colors! theyre more dull which for me fits his character really well and I try to do that in my art of him as well (though Ive been slacking more on that aspect lol) his design in general is just so nice to look and memorable too, its simple but effective, peak character design right there and I dont even mean it as a joke I genuinely think his design is super good, and most importantly THE GLASSES!! I like drawing him with his eyes showing but when he has the sunglasses is where the fun is at, because it kinda brings a surprise factor to him, his colors are more died down but then you see his eyes and BAM!! green! of course theyre not too bright as to match with his other colors but still bright enough for him to have some contrast and bring some surprise to the player!

Now for p1 dude, I once again love his color scheme, I love red so its fun to look at him, even with just his limited model on the original postal you can see a lot of stuff in his design which is very impressive! I love his fingerless gloves and his sweater vest as well/shirt he wears on the gone postal cover, also...long hair...pretty.. ALSO his design with the red coat and green vest! I dont usually see it being drawn (I personally do prefer to draw the red and black version because I prefer that color scheme but the other is still quite good and I wanna draw it someday!) idk his design is just once again very cool to me

NOW FOR THE DATING PART OwO (sorry if these are hard to understand im very bad with writing and most of my fantasies rarely follow a story or a very strict personality to them lol)

for p2 I imagine it would be more difficult for him to "open up" I guess, he would start pretty closed off like he is in the game, even when hes interested in you hes still kinda closed off, with stuff like flirty interactions the thing he can do best because hes more in control, show that man some genuine affection and he wouldnt know how to take it (show that man love no one in paradise apreciates him >:( ) he would probably blue screen a bit from affection, however slowly he would start getting used it and start showing a bit more as well, you would just need to be a bit patient with him, he would however still care for you and be a bit possesive, not in the unhealthy way I mean would get jealous about you and if anyone tried to do anything he would kick their ass, in general his love language is a mix of physical contact and acts of service, he also calls you darling and dearie :)

In any way, all of them would be protective of you, wouldnt want to hurt you no matter what and if anyone tried they're dead

i canttt with sam’s hubris!! it’s either that, or the fact they need a filler with their content and aren’t bothering with, ya know, actually mediumship with trained ppl or witches tbh.

oh! and whatever that passive agressive that could come up with whoever ryan and shane are?? im always intrigued about what the guys could be like when challenged, because they dont really have anyone like that on.

If I gave my true thoughts on Sam and his hubris, I'd come back to a blog on fire lol.

Just know that I've always had my opinion on things like the challenges and the Sallie demon attachment thing, and they are what we would consider hot takes lol.

But as far as the passive aggressive is concerned, the closest example I can think of is the Miami series they did with Jake and Corey at the beginning of 2020. Jake was clearly over it all by then, while snc were hoping to take it a little more seriously. There is a point during the Miami Biltmore video where Jake is challenging them in some way and you can just feel the annoyance and tension through the screen, from both Sam and Colby. It was maybe the one interesting moment (besides Colby and his 21 past lives that has never been mentioned again lmao) in that whole series.

I think they have grown up a lot since then, and have better established themselves, their brands and their careers. They like to say that they are more open to skeptics now, and have brought people like Wilbur on who come into it being openly non-believing and they always manage to have a good time and sort of turn them around to at least being open to the paranormal.

Wilbur and other skeptics they've brought in in the past were novices to the ghost hunting community. snc were their guides. snc were the professionals, the adults in the room, the people setting the tone and controlling the situation and teaching the newbies.

They would not have that standing or power with Shane and Ryan.

Shane and Ryan are not novices to this genre in any way, shape or form. Snc would have absolutely no power in this situation; if anything, they would almost start out on a lower playing field than Shane and Ryan (on account of S&R would have 100% of the backing from the skeptics and debunkers, and Shane would be coming in already thinking they are idiots and ready to challenge them and prove that they are, in fact, idiots).

And I think that would be half the problem, right there. They would be off-kilter, not in control of the situation, and being met with scorn and disdain or at the very least, a patronizing tone from someone who has made it no secret that they don't respect them or find them reputable in any way.

It's gonna get their backs up.

Now, Sam is the one who truly does not do well with not having control in a situation; he's also the one that doesn't seem to do well with people who have differing viewpoints to his (part of that need for control), so my initial guess was that he would be the first to break and get passive-aggressive or challenging back, especially cause we all know how Colby and confrontation usually mix about as well as oil and water.

But then I started thinking about it more, and honestly, the one thing that seems to get Colby's back up as well, are people insulting his friends (especially Sam). And Colby's the guy who consistently gets into fights in clubs and barks at people for invading his space and considers himself the holder of drinks and caretaker of his friends. He's the one who once tweeted out "Say what you want about me, I don't care. But if you talk shit about my friends, we have a problem."

So...given all that, I honestly don't know which side of the snc braintrust is going to be the side that gives up on any pretense of niceties first and starts getting snippy; it could go either way.

But I do know two things: 1) this collab would probably not end with a friendship, and 2) it'll be a whole lot of passive-aggressive stuff and not any actual fighting involved lol.

morte or I don’t fukken have a clue - to start a duet - house of the rising sun - which i proposed and we had very briefly discussed a almost 2 months ago lol - no practice - we both blanked out on the same verse lol - the show went on 12 bar i guess guitar solo of sorts mostly dramatic chords - wuz fun - went into some kinda trance - was w a pro who could - couldnt really hear what guitar sounded like - could hear it but muddy and harsher than the preset - direct into pa but thru headfone jack maybe janky idk - have gotten good tho a bit harsh sounds so and everything sounds way different onstage thru monitors anyway we duz the best as can -- maybe will try listening thru fonez at home and try to taylor a live madrone sound - then again the vocal - self confident in a weird way - over the top - and i dont even know bout guitar - tried not to overplayin a weird outta control way - in a strange trance space think we got good ok reaction - not my best - not worst - next and both had some moments maybe more than -one of those times showing up and playing a victory - i didnt really feel it tbh mostly muscle memory but i wuz really trying maybe a bit too hard but not as much as and the trance thing and it was crowded but hadnt performed in well over a month - saw peeples i like - it wuz crowded lots of new faces - and one hadnt seen in years but then again like yesterday - did i mention crowded ? so - no recording i know of so will never actually - it kinda sorta maybe wuz like kava when the whole point was trance and not as rehearsed as sometimes tho not just saying - i - and the crowd sometimes joins - and cuz it was crowded limited to 2 songs and didnt wanna solo just mostly accent throw off clusters casual then back to the expected - i dont even know if i just trusted guitar and fingers -on the other hand fingers for what seemed like seconds didnt seem to respond to wat i wuz overthinking or lost control of - maybe lost some feeling for an instant that seem like - inna weird way concentrating on the performance aspect also

and feeling my age - the whole early eve exhausted and i left early tho had been over 2 hours which is kinda - then again - not completely wiped out - brought both blondie and amp - its the carrying 3 flights - and moving them quickly on and off stage without tripping over wires or missing a step cuz i see for shit -and near dark low onstage - always have bad eyes - dont ask - but it sure as fukk dont get better as i age - tho i am more careful - still sometimes grab something heavy at awkward angle and regret it and in and out of cars gawd forbid sometimes busses - if only i had a roadie - anyway - its fukken winter - a brief lull between storms - went out - played - did i mention i sometimes feel more than a wee bit agoraphobic - on the other hand life is fukken terrifying sometimes doncha think

rain of blood - another one where its vibes, but specifically post chapter 20. i dont want to spoil what happens but a BIG thing happens for the mcs character development and their view on murder. more like post chapter 25 because i have a few filler chapters planned.

DEATHBODY - this ones a song that makes me think of the mc, specifically surrounding their obsession with dying and being killed that gets kind of worse after an incident sometimes after chapter 25. i have it planned out but not written LOL oops. some lyrics i especially like are “icicles of a medial at unease, please just pull me together and repair me. old thoughts floating above a new horizon. something i’ll never doubt; i know im rotten.” and “all this time, i felt that my time would arrive. that it can’t last forever; i’ve been decaying. moldy scaffolding, ritual strangling. no matter what i try, i seem to stay alive.”

alpha desperation march - this one is definitely early kaon and was added to the playlist when i was writing the early chapters! specifically the lyrics “im coming in. try and stop me. push furniture in front the door. it only gives me something to push against.” and “see im perfectly aware. of where our love stands. but the plain fact is that you owe me eight grand.” make me think of him. especially push furniture in front of the door one because hes always pushing and pushing, whether it be boundaries or literal doors. theres no stopping him when theres something he wants.

hello, i love you - OKAY THIS ONES FUNNY. while this would usually be considered a kaon song because of the obsessive and sugary sweet lyrics and the general i will literally never leave you alone ever-ness of it, i associate it more with vos for reasons unknown. vos, at specifically, his most down bad. he has enough control over himself to not act like this but he is just as stubborn as kaon and is more likely to lock you in a room with him until you talk to him if he really wants your attention. whereas kaon would probably go sulk somewhere. vos is pushy and very intense.

fruiting bodies - another mc song! more specifically a post chapter 20 mc song. theres a lot of imagery with a seed being planted and its roots filling them from the inside out. which is kind of fungal.

run rabbit run - VOS SONG. just a straight up vos song, it reminds me a lot of him. there are a lot of things that make me think of vos, foxes being one of them. is it a little worrying a fox betraying and hunting a rabbit is a vos song? maybe. dont worry about it too much. if he hunts the mc i can promise theyre both a little too into it LMFAO

call me little sunshine - okay so this is a kaon AND vos song. little sunshine is supposed to be lucifer because lucifer means light bringer. basically you will never be alone because you have the two most down bad murderers obsessed with you who will come to your every beck and call (within reason) amen

bad bad things - OKAY I CAN SEE HOW THIS SONG WOULD BE NERVE WRACKING TO RUN INTO. its not a kaon or vos song dw. thats all i will say. the part specifically that ive latched onto in my brain is the “so i looked into your eyes and i saw the reflection or a coward you and i hate very much. and then i grabbed the knife and let the blood out of your throat and smashed those tiny mirrors inside of your skull.” if that means anything

MACARON - mc song. another cannibalism banger on the playlist. they wanna be eaten so bad it makes them look stupid.

cemetary girl - admittedly theres no deeper meaning here i just like the vibes and its fun to write to!

bridezilla - this ones a mc song and their weird little view on what a wedding with kaon and vos would be like. theyre just as absolutely odd as those two. casey would literally black out if he went to their wedding and they tongue kissed the priest. shelby would record it.

saccharine- another vos song. he doesnt want to get so obsessed with the mc but he absolutely does. the similarities between the mc and vos have been touched upon from kaons early pov chapter, but vos sees them as a weaker version of himself. he doesnt want to hurt them (too badly), which is new for him because most people he meets he cant wait to tear them apart. there are a few exceptions to that rule, and the fact a sweet little human is one of them confounds him.

against pollution - a chapter 20 mc song thats all i will say

west country dream - another early chapters kaon song. it was added to the playlist when i first started writing and my qpp read the first few chapter and said. this song makes me think of them. i agreed and the rest is history! onto the playlist it went

choke - okay so am i allowed to just say “vos is into choking” and leave it at that? LMAOLMAO

cop car - another early kaon song that i added. if its the mountain goats my qpp added it but the mitski was my doing. this song just makes me think of how kaon thinks about the mc in the first few chapters!

haunt, the cartoon heart - a kaon song! just his obsessiveness and the adoration for the mc he has later on in the fic. i can see him singing this to them if im being honest and i do entertain myself by imagining it LOL. the end where “i think you scared her” i imagine as vos criticizing his usual heavy handed approach.

am i being followed…? - honestly theres nothing deep her i just like listening to this one while i write and the general vibes of the song! i just really like the artist too HSJSHS

grendel’s mother - this is one i added due to my qpps recommendation and another where i dont have any reasons besides vibes 😭

guillotine - THIS ONES ACTUALLY THE SOMG I LISTENED TO FOR HOURS NONSTOP AS I WROTE CHAPTER 22. so i cant say much other than the title for that chapter will be “the secrets you tell me, i’ll take to my grave. there’s bones in my closet, but you hang stuff anyway.” its a kaon song too.

the fox’s wedding - okay this ones a banger but the lyrics do come at you like a brick to the face. its not as bad as the other songs in the series its in which is saying something. this song is an mc song though. cannibalism? check. horniness? check. falling in love with a vengeful fox spirit? kaon and vos arent that but they are crazy asses so. id say somewhat check. other things i shant say…. check.

We never get Murtagh and Thorn pov in Inheritance and he only speaks once, and Eragon says his voice is "surprisingly deep" if I remember right and I'm over here like ;~; I can't remember if he was forced to hatch but I do know the moment he did hatch it made Murtagh and Thorn mutual hostages essentially and I love the idea of them bonding despite that but possibly still holding resentment for each other. And honestly I don't know how many people are going to be willing to talk to Murtagh atm

he's a pretty well known figure next to a now dead king so hopefully it'll be a lot about the two of them, but I don't want to get both of our hopes up too high

deep voiced.... thorn baby boy i love you. also YEAH. like.... smh i dont remember when galbatorix got his true name but i imagine he had to have by the time hes getting thorn to hatch right? like he wouldnt have taken the risk of making a new rider unless he knew he had total control over them. but yeah like murtagh is 100% already controlled and at this point aside from the memory of eragon and nasuada he has nothing in the world to stop him really from even just killing himself to help eragon. giving him thorn was like. wow. what a play

giving the "nothing left to lose" murtagh thorn was like ....

kept murtagh alive by giving murtagh a reason to live, in the cruelest way possible

kept murtagh under control by making thorn galbs hostage

gave galb a new rider to his team (the main point of it all)

gave galb a new *dragon* under his control, via both hostage murtagh and iirc he knew thorns true name because galb had forced him to hatch and grow and he knew murtaghs name

galb pushing murtagh further down his path to darkness by tying him closer and closer in to morzan by making him a rider (& his "right hand" to an extent) like morzan was and exploiting murtaghs trauma from his father at the same time

i dont think murtagh ever wouldve killed himself though - one of the interesting things to his character particularly that u see when hes at his like... comparatively healthiest when hes with the varden & just leaving them in the first book, is he has this very deep and unerring desire to live. he sees himself (and tbh! mostly truthfully!) as someone no one trusts or can bring themselves to trust, and he doesnt go "im an evil person forever i should die" he goes "its bullshit and im being judged on bullshit standards and its not fair on me esp considering he beat the shit out of me too and i have the right 2 hate him and i really fucking hate him too. but since no one will let me into their home ill fucking find my own." and he just chooses more to like.. just strike out on his own and do his own thing. he seems interested in travelling, it feels? hes like a loner and a wanderer and its not even purely out of emoboy angst but more like "i get it. people hate me. ill have a life that makes me the happiest i can be, then. and that means avoiding people/people who know who i am. so i will do that" and we stan

gd yeah though its gonna fuuuuuucking suck being STILL Morzan 2.0 to everyone in alagaesia despite everything but tbh.... its not even that different (externally) from what he had before. hes probably just recognized more. i kind of like the open ended feeling of post-canon where theyre just left to do their thing and find their own healing together so im Interested in what the book has to say but dont worry cuz ive already got my whole fixit planned in my head of how he and thorn go off and have therapy and travel the world and he meets some nice girl in some far off place and they have a cabin in the woods together and all sorts of domestic fluff h/c recovery shit is happening
