Havoc Marauder Interior
Someone made a post about this a while ago but apparently they de-activated so it is possibly lost to the mists of time. Here is what I put together for myself as a writing reference. Image heavy, meta heavy.
Last edit: 2023/11/03
Edits: Replaced garbage text layout with actual ship overhead. Realized the two concept art images face different directions. This likely explains the magical moving jump seats. Also added discussion of a cargo hold. Added discussion of ship dimensions (specifically length). Replaced old guesstimates with numbers from Dawn of Rebellion. Added commentary about the magical seat.
I think people under- and over-estimate the Marauder's interior potential. Given its overall size and intended use (transporting about 10-15 troops plus assorted equipment and providing air support in a forward area), there's not much room left for creature comforts.
Except the Batch aren't 10-15 people, they're 5, and the shuttle is referred to as modified numerous times. This leaves plenty of room to make assumptions and freeform. So, as to what we have actual, visual evidence for from episodes and concept art, here is a rudimentary floor plan:
Tumblr media
An important point about the two concept art images: they do NOT face the same direction. The top image faces to the aft/back of the ship, i.e. the tailgun. The second image faces to the fore/front of the ship.
Number key:
1: We know this is where the ramp and door are located from War Mantle and Metamorphsis.
2: We know about this upper storage area from Cut and Run
3: The access to the tail gun has changed visual from TCW s07e02 and various TBB episodes.
The Magically Appearing/Disappearing Seat
Tumblr media
In Cut and Run we have this moment with Hunter and Omega, but in most other shots each of these consoles has only one seat (eg. Tech and Echo in prior frames). I think this is actually NOT a magically appearing seat. I think it's the other console seat, because I suspect they can be moved. I base this one this shot from Replacements:
Tumblr media
That looks like a seat with a moveable base.
Obviously this is bad design for a ship which is doing barrel rolls and what-not, so I have to assume they're magnetically locked. Even if it is the same seat, in the shots right before that one above, Omega walks up and it's not in that space. So it's almost like the scene was longer and was shortened, and we missed a few frames of her or Hunter unlocking it and moving it over.
Meta Discussions
tl;dr: I think of the Marauder as a small fishing vessel or a van-conversion RV. You can put a lot into a small space if you get creative.
Bathroom I know the writers have made weird assertions there isn't one and omg they all smell gross from no hygiene but that makes zero sense. Soldiers are constantly under stress, they're getting injured, they need to stay clean when possible or they're going to get sick and die from a systemic infection in short order. Anyone who's glanced in the general direction of military history knows this. You can argue about clone expendibility all you want but the Batch minimally qualify in that regard, being Nala Se's pet project. Can you imagine losing one of them to a staph infection because there's nowhere for them to bust out some no-rinse antimicrobial soap or get their scalp clean? I'm not saying they'll be doing photoshoots in between missions (well maybe Hunter would ) but, come on. (And are you going to tell me Mr. Sensor Sensoria is cool with doing long hauls with 4 people who don't bathe? Just, no.)
But that much aside, anyone who's ever been in an RV, a commercial airliner, or a modest-sized sea vessel knows you can cram a bathroom into a tiny space. Yes, you're going to be spinning in circles doing things, but the benefits of a spot to clean up, manage waste, and tend to injuries far outweigh any other use of that area. So regardless of what the writers say, a transport without a minimal refresher (to use the SW term) is counter to the ship's designed use. It has to be able to accommodate Wrecker, of course, but in the end it can double as storage when not in use. There is zero reason to not have one. Added to this, we now officially have a length for the Marauder, which is 30.3 meters (see below). RVs which are 1/5 of that size have bathrooms. You're going to tell me the Marauder doesn't?
If nothing else, since the TCW episodes and the beginning of S1 have pointed to them going on extended deployments with long hops between stops, they're going to need one or constantly be handling waste in much less efficient and sustainable ways.
Added to all of this, it's specifically called a modified variant of an Omicron. We're probably meant to think this means 'Tech would like to fly faster than the GAR and ship engineers think is reasonable for a shuttle' but IMO it extends to changes like this as well. So, there's a refresher in there, feel free to choose a spot. Right across from the fold out racks is a good candidate because in most imagery it's just weapons storage, and there's an entire upper-deck space which you could use for that.
Galley Definitely not one of these. The Batch are eating rations any time they're not on Kamino. You can make an argument they (and all clone units) have cook kits for improvised eating in the field; in the Batch's case I suspect that's a given, as they'd just start doing it because who's going to stop them? Additionally, the sheer amount of rations you would need to carry around to feed Wrecker would be ridiculous. (Remember when Wrecker talks about never being full in S2E13? I feel like this is an indication they did and still do, in fact, have to improvise a lot of additional caloric intake. Hunter probably thought Cut and Suu's farm was a genius idea. 'Grow your own food! Wrecker will never be hungry again! Fucking incredible.' Then Tech got the ship impounded.) I think you can argue for one being added, like with the refresher. Do they actually need those weapons racks anymore? Definitely no. But, it's not on there by default.
Beds As you can see in the concept art above, there are at least 3 racks that fold out from the wall on the port side. They're at a minimum wide enough to accommodate Wrecker, they may also be long enough for him to not need to curl up (unclear because in this shot from Bounty Lost his knees are bent and he's hugging Lula):
Tumblr media
Three is a weird number since originally there were four of them. I figure the options here are:
The pilot/copilot/second row seats all look 100% more comfortable than the racks. We actually see Tech sleeping in one, at one point, so this has actual evidence to support it.
It's war time, they're never all asleep simultaneously. Someone is always flying the ship or on watch.
The floor is in effect the same as a rack, arguably preferable as you can't fall off it in the event Something Happens while you're out. So, one of them might actually be ON the floor sometimes.
They're not really intended to sleep on the ship for extended periods, but narratively we're lead to believe they have, many times, and needed to make adjustments to it as a result. Notice how quickly Wrecker whipped up a bed for Omega? IMO, not the first time they've done something like that--they did it for themselves first.
Cargo Hold Based on that screenshot of Omega above and the below shot from Cut and Run, the 'hold' of the ship is actually a storage area overhead, running the length of the ship. In that shot above of the rack, there are a series of yellow rungs which imply you can climb up somewhere on the port side. This is probably alternate access to that same overhead storage space.
In Cut and Run we see Echo, Omega, and Tech hide in it, coming back out from a slide-open hatch:
Tumblr media
Given Tech's height this is probably somewhere around 1.5m high.
We can be reasonably certain the hold isn't under the ship, or at least storage there is minimal, due to a couple of things:
In all instances where the hyperdrive has been pulled, it's under the ship on the belly, and takes up a reasonable amount of space. Eg., in Retrieval, here's a bunch of stuff which has been pulled from the ship:
Tumblr media
In instances where they're working on the ship from the outside, like in Cornered, the sides and belly never have panels open which contain empty space unless the ship's hardware have been removed to reach something:
Tumblr media
So, the cargo hold is probably that space on the top from Cut and Run. It doesn't have much room; reasonably speaking, the area with the weapons and sleeping racks was probably a cargo hold as well, they just converted it to a more general purpose area. (So IMO this is a stronger argument for putting a commercial airliner-style bathroom in place of the weapons racks, particularly once they bail on the Empire.)
Dimensions - updated 11/3/23 Dawn of Rebellion has a Bad Batch section, and indicates the Marauder is 30.3m in length, 36.65m wide (presumably with the wings extended, and 12.41m tall (this probably includes the central stabilizer).
I will edit this to update it as we get more pictures. Since the toys that I know of have no basis the show from an internal perspective I didn't include anything from them.

Antidote (TBB Tech x afab Reader)
Tumblr media
Tech x AFAB Reader (use of she/her pronouns), but all of the Batch included
Word Count: Five words over 3.3k
Warnings: Sex pollen but not the usual trope (no sex and an alternative is found), suggestive sexual language and situations but nothing acted upon, restraining for safety, some strong language, frank description of biological processes, creative use of a tampon, some feelings of shame but they are addressed, NSFW, younglings begone
A/N: I can’t read sex pollen fics. I tried. It wasn’t my thing, but then I got an idea and @staycalmandhugaclone encouraged me so here we are. This is not a call out or meant to be negative toward any sex pollen fics. This is just a different take.
Also on AO3.
You met the Batch on Pabu and in the months since, found yourself spending more and more time with them. This was especially true of Tech. You found his thirst for knowledge and direct nature easy to understand and get along with. Though, you were doing more than getting along. You weren’t sure how to tell him, but you had fallen for him.  His brothers all noticed, but he seemed not to. What you didn’t know was that he simply didn’t know how to bring up his feelings just yet.
The boys had decided to visit a nearby planet and since there didn’t seem to be any danger, no one had any objections to you coming along.  You hadn’t been on a ship since you first traveled to Pabu and you loved watching as you flew through hyperspace. Tech landed just outside of a city and you all headed toward the market. Hunter and Echo went in search of supplies while Wrecker, Tech, and Crosshair all helped buy food to bring back to Pabu. You were particularly interested in the local fruits and vegetables that didn’t grow on the island you called home.
“I think this is enough,” you said, putting down the last crate next to the pile.
“Is it,” Wrecker asked. “I could eat all this in a couple days.”
“Yes, but we’re just getting what we can,” Crosshair responded. He didn’t want to make more than one trip back to the ship.
“Well, we can carry more,” Wrecker retorted. “At least I can.”
Crosshair gave him a half-hearted glare but helped purchase a few more crates.  Wrecker easily carried most of the load.
You turned around to look for Tech.  He was busy scanning some kind of contraption that caught his eye one booth over.
“Ready to go, Tech?”
“In just a moment,” he replied.
Wrecker and Crosshair walked ahead, catching up with Hunter and Echo who were waiting near the edge of town with some ship parts.  You knew a moment for Tech could mean anything from a few seconds to much longer than that but wanted to stay with him.
He put the item down and walked with you. “The wiring on this new style datapad results in faster computations. I want to see if I can rewire my own and achieve similar results.”
“That didn’t look like any datapad I’ve ever seen,” you replied.
“Ah, the outside is only meant to grab your attention. It is a new model. The inside is what interests me.”
You smiled at that.  Tech offered to carry the crate you still had, and you kindly accepted.
Once back at the ship, Wrecker took the crate from Tech. It was decided you all would spend the night on the ship and head back the next day.  Tech cleared his bunk so you would have a place to sleep, insisting he could sleep in a chair.  While you felt it was incredibly nice of him, you also couldn’t help but wonder what it might be like to share a bunk with him.  The thought left your mind as he asked if you wanted to come with him to document some of the local flora.  After dinner, the others stayed around the campfire while you and Tech walked over a few hills and to the edge of a forest.  He excitedly took pictures and samples, telling you about each plant and its properties.
“This one has several medicinal uses,” he said, handing you a pink flower. You smiled at it and then back at Tech.  You gathered several and put them in their own storage bag for transport.  Multiple species of flowers were packed before you looked a little further into the woods.
“Tech! Come see!”
He walked over and immediately noticed the large teal blooms that opened as you walked by.
“Fascinating,” he said. He took a picture and noticed that as he got closer to you, the flowers seemed to open even further. He scanned them, looking for any known properties. His face dropped as soon as the results showed up.
“We need to go, mesh’la!”
“What? Why?” You sneezed.
“It may be too late.” He took your hand and briskly walked you out of the woods. Your face suddenly felt hot and your throat burned.
“Tech, I don’t feel well.”
“We must get back to the ship,” he said nearly panicking. “I believe those flowers create an aphrodisiac that specifically affects females of several species.”
No sooner had he said that, and your limbs felt like jelly and you fell against him.  Something wasn’t right. You could swear you felt all your blood rushing to your groin and let out a moan. You tried to run, but felt a great weight on your ankles. Tech lifted you like you weighed nothing and ran toward the Marauder. Hunter stood as he saw his brother carrying your body. Preparing for the worst, the boys all stood up asking what was wrong and following Tech on to the ship.
“A large flower opened, spreading pollen,” Tech stated. “I believe it is an aphrodisiac and it has already started to work.”
He sat you down, scanned you, and confirmed your symptoms. The others stood behind him, looking rather helpless. He sighed and gave you a rundown of what to expect. Very brief fever followed by extremely high libido and high energy until satisfied.
Crosshair looked from you to Tech and asked, “Isn’t there a way she can take care of this on her own? You know? Manually?”
“Negative,” replied Tech. “Based on the information available, orgasm does not help in mitigating the symptoms. It appears this particular pollen only effects females and it does not wear off until either sexual intercourse with a male is completed or her hormones shift with her next menstrual cycle.”
“Next period?!” You really started panicking. “I can’t feel that way for that long!” You wanted to cry and yet you could feel that you had to fight to remain yourself even now. You knew it would only get worse. “Look I… Tech I…” You searched for words, feeling overwhelmed. This was not how you wanted to have this conversation, but it seemed like you had better get it over with. “Tech, I have feelings for you. I really like you, but I don’t want to have sex with you or anyone right now, for that matter and I’m afraid of what I might say or do in the next however long.”
Tech quickly processed the information and couldn’t help but smile. “I believe the feeling is mutual,” he said, still kneeling in front of you. “I promise no one will do anything you would not want done in your healthy state of mind. You have my word.”
“That’s great,” chimed Echo, “And I’m really glad for you two, but how are we going to fix this without waiting?”
“I have an idea,” Tech replied.
No sooner had he said that and the fever hit. You felt like you were on fire and cold as ice at the same time. Wrecker stepped toward you to hold your hand. “It’s gonna be okay,” he said. “If anyone can solve this, it’s Tech.”
You tried to nod. Your whole body shook with fever, but within a few minutes the fever was gone. You knew that you weren’t yourself, but there was no way to stop it. You looked at all five men greedily and started to take your shirt off.
“I want Tech first,” you said with a smirk.
“Now now,” Wrecker said, still next to you and taking your hand away from your shirt. “None of that.”
You tried to stand up and looked at each member of the squad. You giggled to yourself that you just thought about the word “member.” They would do nicely, but you would give anything for Tech to throw you onto his bunk and fuck you through the bottom of the ship. You walked closer to him and he adjusted his googles.
“I know this is not you,” he said.
It quickly became clear that you were going to be quite a handful.  Tech did research as fast as possible, finding flowers that reacted similarly.  Wrecker held you in his lap with his arms wrapped around you after you tried to jump on Hunter as he walked past to assist Tech. He was also trying to keep you from acting out your latest threat of walking up to Tech and sitting in his lap naked. You made several comments about each of the men, but would not stop talking about how much you wanted Tech.
“We know,” Crosshair said, sitting next to Wrecker.
You turned your head toward Crosshair and smiled like an idiot. “Jealous,” you asked him.
“I didn’t say that,” he replied in annoyance.
“It’s okay if you are,” you countered in a sing-song voice.
Your body then decided that since you were sitting on a man’s lap, you might as well start thrusting your hips.
“Nope,” Wrecker said, lifting you off his lap. He was strong, but you were giving him a run for his money with how much you were squirming.
“We’ll sit with her awhile,” Hunter offered, dragging Echo with him. “Crosshair too.”
“What? Why me?”
“Because you’ve only sat next to Wrecker. I think we’ll all have to take some limbs or something.” Wrecker sat you down on the bunk and Hunter held you back before you could lunge at Tech. You nearly yoinked him halfway across the Marauder. Hunter managed to sit you back down with Echo holding one arm, Hunter the other, and Crosshair sitting on the floor hugging your legs.
“This is ridiculous,” you giggled. “Just let me fuck your brother. Just once.”
Hunter sighed. He knew you were going to be upset later. Tech had already discovered that there is no lapse in memory for this particular drug, so you would remember every moment of this.  He hoped you would find solace in the fact that they all knew this wasn’t really you.
They were all getting tired and while Wrecker wanted to help Tech, he knew there was little he could do, so he tried sleeping until it was his turn to hold you again. Tech worked furiously through the night. He grimaced when you hit the next stage and complained you felt throbbing.  You had gone from flirty to begging for someone to put your out of your misery “with as much cock as possible.” When that didn’t work you cried. He knew it must be painful by this point. He couldn’t stand to hear you cry.  Your body was simply reacting to a drug. He felt guilty for not knowing this plant was in the vicinity, but it had never been documented on this side of the planet before. How could he have known?
In the middle of the night, Wrecker woke to stay with you while Hunter, Echo, and Crosshair tried to get some sleep. You made a lot of noise, but they tried. Wrecker had to admit that he didn’t do any more than doze. They were all worried for you, but being in war and under stress, they had learned to sleep when they can and then get up and do their part when it was time. They got what sleep they could.
You wailed when Wrecker held you, trying to scramble away to get to one of the men. He just kept apologizing and telling you he was keeping you safe. You managed to turn in his lap and wrap your legs around his waist.
He sighed. “I know you don’t want that. Not really.” You started crying again and all you could seem to feel was your pulse between your legs and a chemical drive that would not go away.
At the front of the ship, Tech started to make some progress.  He smiled to himself when he found a research article on this species of plant. He needed one of the pink flowers you’d collected earlier along with two drugs from the med kit.
Hunter hadn’t done much more than close his eyes, but he sensed the med kit being opened and went to try to help his brother.
“Will you restart the campfire,” Tech asked.
“Sure. What progress have you made?”
“We are not able to create or obtain the hormones needed to trigger her menstrual cycle and end this using that method. However, it is theorized that the reason sexual intercourse causes the pollen to cease its effect is because of the presence of semen in the vagina. Specifically, one protein found in seminal fluid. Now, obviously that is not an option for us, but it appears a similar form of this protein can be synthesized using the pollen of some flowers we collected. While not ideal, there are some items in the med kit that can help this chemical process.”
“Great, but how do we get it in her,” Hunter asked.
“We don’t,” answered Crosshair, now standing behind them. “Put whatever you make on a tampon and ask her to do it herself.”
“Would that work,” Echo asked, joining them.
“I believe it is the least invasive option,” Tech replied.
They all nodded. Hunter went outside to start the campfire.  Tech sterilized some equipment and joined him.  It seemed simple enough. He only needed part of the flower and then the heated wound disinfectant along with bacta gel would cause the protein to be isolated. Hunter dug a tampon out of the emergency supplies.
Echo and Crosshair helped Wrecker who held your legs, while the other two sat on either side of you. You were tired, but still acting ravenous. Your method had gone even further in the direction of complaining about how you were hurting, and you just wanted all this to be over.
“It doesn’t have to be Tech,” you declared. “I’ll take any of you. Please!”  You then melted in Echo’s arm and looked at him with stars in your eyes. “Changed your mind yet? Any of you?”
He simply shook his head, trying to show he cared, and held on so you couldn’t pounce on anyone.  You turned to Crosshair on your other side. He held your arm and tried to help keep you still as best he could. You quickly moved to try to bite his neck and he pulled away. “No thank you,” he said. “I’m saving that for someone special.”
You were trying so hard to fight the drug coursing through your system, but it was a losing battle. After what felt like ages, Tech seemed satisfied with the concoction. There wasn’t much of it, but once it was cool enough he dipped the end of the tampon in the gel and walked back onto the ship. The boys let go enough for you to walk toward him. Your flirty symptoms appeared again, and you wanted Tech so badly. You looked up and down his body with no shame. He really took your breath away.
Tech found your glances made him nervous, but simply cleared his throat.  Just as he was about to explain why he was holding a tampon, you started sniffing the air.
“That smell,” you said.
The men all looked at each other. “Can you smell it,” Hunter asked. “The protein?”
“Whatever it is, I want to sit on it,” you replied with a grin. You homed in on the tampon.
Tech cleared his throat again and explained, “I have created what we hope will reverse the effect of the drug, but you need to insert this yourself.”
Crosshair and Echo were still each holding your arms, but not too tightly. You seemed to calm and they let go. You took the tampon and went to take your pants off, but everyone stopped you. Tech opened the refresher door and you walked in. He closed it and everyone sighed.
“I hope this works,” said Echo. “All I smell is floral bacta gel.”
In the ‘fresher you regarded the tampon with a little suspicion, but your body seemed to be on autopilot. You placed the tampon and immediately the ache started going away. You took slower breaths. You washed your hands and realized your nerves had been on fire for hours.  You looked at yourself in the mirror and felt the heat in your face start to drain. Instead, you realized all that you had said and done, or tried to do. All kinds of emotions flooded your system. You were sure that Hunter could sense the change in you from the other side of the door, so you made no effort to report what was going on. You weren’t sure you wanted to see or talk to any of them yet. You were covered in sweat from all your activity and wanted a shower.  You stripped off your clothes and briefly stood under the water. Just enough to clear away the feeling on your skin.  When you got out, you noticed someone had left you the spare clothes you’d brought, and you slowly put them on. After a few more minutes of staring blankly into the mirror and letting the antidote work, you finally reappeared.
“I’m sorry,” you said quietly. “I didn’t mean all that.”
“We know,” Wrecker said, pulling you into a hug.
“Glad you feel better,” Hunter said.
“Been thinking we might all get some shut eye before we leave,” Echo suggested.  Crosshair nodded with a little smile on his face. For the first time all night, he popped a toothpick in his mouth.
You nodded, thanking them for helping you.
“Especially you, Tech.”
He wasn’t sure what to do. Should he hug you? Hold you? Keep his distance?
“Here,” he said. “If you find you need more to counter the drug, I will put this in a safe place.” He showed you a container with the small puddle of gel he had made using the flowers. You smiled at him.
“How did you figure it out?”
He walked you to the cockpit after closing up the ship as the sun rose. He sat you down, noticing how physically weak you looked. Sitting across from you, he told you about his research and how he found a way to mimic the protein structure that seemed to shut down the drug.  You smiled. Of course Tech would figure it out.
“I’m sorry again,” you said.
“Cyar’ika, you have nothing to be sorry for,” he said, reaching for your hand. He gave it a soft squeeze and smiled at you. “None of this was your fault.”
You returned the smile and sat back, looking like you might fall asleep.
“Let me help you to bed,” he offered. You took his arm, needing it to steady yourself. Your legs felt like jelly for a whole different reason this time.
You got into bed. In his bunk. The others were already sleeping. Tech sat on the end of the bed, but looked conflicted. When he originally offered to sleep in the pilot’s seat, he didn’t know all of this would happen.
“Tech? Can you stay? Is that okay?”
He nodded, but suddenly seemed a bit nervous. He had never shared a bed with anyone like this. What he said earlier was true. He had feelings for you and knew you had feelings for him. He wanted you to feel safe, so if you wanted him close, he felt it would be alright now, although he wasn’t sure what he was doing as he laid down.
“How would you like me to, uh…”
“Like this,” you replied, taking his hand and laying it across your middle. Not too close or tight, but just there. “But however feels right. I trust you.”
He softly smiled and relaxed. “Goodnight mesh’la.”

Thoughts on s3 ep 12!
Ooh boy, finally got the chance to watch this baby, y'know how it goes: spoilers and inconsistent, incoherent screaming under the cut-
Ayo when the FUCK are we going to get a Clone X reveal HUH???
TANTISS BASE I HATE YOUR UGLY ASS OHHH MY GOD
Emerie seeing Omega again :(
"For what it's worth, I'm glad you're safe" - "Am I?" FUCK
PUTTING OMEGA IN THE VAULT?? okay but I want to see her interact with all the other kiddos :(
Emerie is so going to do something to help the kids and I'm so scared it'll end with her sacrifice
THEY STILL HAVEN'T EXPLAINED LIKE,, EMERIE AS A WHOLE LIKE, HELLO??
SO MANY QUESTIONS?? SO LITTLE EPISODES LEFT???
Hemlock I hope you choke
EUUGHHEHH so happy they didn't time skip so upset that they didn't show us the conversation Crosshair had to have with Wrecker and Hunter about what happened to Omega but like,, I'm disappointed but not surprised
The angst potential and then it was just,,, Wrecker being grumpy and Hunter being like, "okay, well let's just move on and figure something out"
I mean, I guess I'm happy they aren't fighting or whatever but still
fuck,, Crosshair's hands,,, I was just waiting for one of them to like,, grab them or something like,,
Crosshair not telling them he knew somewhat how to get to the base because he's terrified of going back
baby what the FUCK did they do to you there???
aaahh,, that whole conversation was painful
ALSO IS IT JUST ME OR IS HUNTER GETTING SMALLER??
Every time he's in frame with his brothers he seems to shrink?? Like after this episode I went back to watch random clips from the earlier seasons in Korean and Hunter didn't look as small/short as he does now???
Tell me I'm not going crazy,, I swear this man gets shorter everytime I see him and his waist gets skinnier
PHEE AND CROSSHAIR INTERACTION FINALLY!!!
"Sparkling personality" IM-
HEY THOSE HIDDEN PASSAGES WOULD'VE BEEN NICE TO KNOW ABOUT FUCKING LIKE,, THREE EPISODES AGO!!!!!
waauughhh I love Phee's ship,, the colors the shapes,, it's like a little fishy or something,, fucking love it
FUCKIN ADMIRAL RAMPART!?!?!? i was not expecting that
Burst out laughing when they showed his face though,, and for some reason I thought he looked like Jordan Klepper
Was absolutely cracking up over all the interactions between Rampart and the boys,, fucking,, manhandling him like a rag doll?? The banter between him and Cross? fucking gold
PHEE'S PILOTING??? OMG - Hera would've loved it
Also love how she gave them like,,, zero warning,, not even a "Hey, you might wanna strap in" I love her
I love Phee I love her I love her I love her

(Tbb s2 e9 spoilers)
Love the music already!
Cid bought a mine?
Tech: the mineral (ipsium) is highly combustible. Like a primed thermal detonator.
Well...we already know where this is headed lol 😆
Wrecker: I like it already!😃
Hunter’s powers at work again! I love it. He said the storm is moving away from them and they should be fine....right.
Tech: Without echo we're one man down
Omega: 😞
Poachers looking at the Marauder...they better not take it!😡
Wrecker: hey, what's with you?
Omega: I was thinking about Echo. It's weird without him here.😔
Awww poor baby 😭😭😭 you can really feel how sad she is. Even her little walk is different.
Hunter: my spidey senses are tingling!
Omega: that's the ship!
Bruh! They just got robbed! Not the Marauder☹️ I kinda always had a fear of this happening.
Oh man Omega looks broken 😢 first Echo now the place she calls home🥺
Omega: dad's are fighting 😥
Omega trying to contact Echo. Unfortunately Echo cut off his communication device. According to Tech, he's most likely on a sensitive mission.....hopefully we'll get an episode of that mission maybe? 👀
We get the wildebeest scene from lion King lol
Electrical storm caught up with them. They ran to a mine for shelter...well the ipsium exploded and now they're trapped...and Tech and Wrecker are fighting again.
Omega: The Marauders signal is gone. How are we going to track it!
Tech: We probably won't. It was just a means of transportation we can get another.
Omega: THE MARAUDER WAS OUR HOME! WE ALREADY LOST ECHO WE CAN'T LOSE THIS TOO!
Wow Omega is having a breakdown. The stress is catching up. Echo is suppose to be with them! They're a squad!
Tech: this squad existed before Echo was apart of it and it will continue to exists after. What is your issue!?
Wow Tech😥..but that's Tech for you. Hopefully Omega can help him understand by the end of the episode.
Omega: I want to be alone.
Tech: I was only stating the truth
Hunter: she already knows the truth..
Wrecker: disappointed head shake
Omega found a ipsium jackpot 😲
Hunter and Wrecker: shes not adjusting well to Echos absence. Go find Omega and talk to her.
Tech: she said she wanted to be alone but very well.
Sassy Omega
Falling Omega!😬
Also, can I just say I love the fear and concern in Techs voice!
Man does not hesitate to jump down after her!
I love Omega’s wet hair lol
Omega: everything's changing! Echo left! Why doesn't that bother you?
Tech: idk how I should care about change. We adapt and move on. That is what soilders do.
Omega: But we're more than that. We're a family aren't we?
SHE SAID IT! SHE SAID THE THING!!! LOL
Tech: well uh...yes! Yes of course we are.
Omega: then why don't you act like it?
Tech :Echo chose a different path..as did Crosshair( love that Crosshair is being acknowledged and his absence is having an affect)..I have to respect their decision even if it's difficult to move on we have too. I process things differently but that doesn't mean I feel less than you.
Crying!!!! I love this!! I'm so glad Tech is having this heart to heart dad moment with Omega and that they're trying to understand each other more🥰🥰🥰 Also this episode has me convinced that the writers read tbb fanfics lmao 🤣 😬
They got out the cave
Cid: sorry I can't help you. I didn't tell you to get your ship stolen.
Tech: bih you owe us
Cid:😠 fine give me a few days
Episode ends with Tech and Omega having a better understanding of each other and growing closer. Unfortunately, it also ends with the squad being trapped on the planet at an abandoned port with not enough food and an electrical storm approaching...well. waiting on part 2 because they have to get off the planet and get the Marauder back. Whether that's next episode or not idk. Hopefully, probably.
I absolutely loved this episode! I loved how they expressed Omega’s confusion, hurt, and stress. As well as Tech's interactions with her and his explanation on how he handles change differently.
Earlier I said I hope Omega helps Tech understands how she feels and she did! But I'm happy Tech helped Omega understand him and his feelings as well. He absolutely feels Echo and Crosshair’s absence but like he said " I may process things differently but that doesn't mean I feel less than you." We already knew that but its nice to have it confirmed 😊 I'm so happy Tech and Omega had this heart to heart they really needed it🥰 I hope we have more moments like this.🥰

THE  LONG  FALL  DOWN  TO  THE  BOTTOM  OF  THE  WELL
________________________________________________________________
UNAIRED PILOT:  The beginning
Tumblr media
A STUDY IN PINK:  Repetition
Tumblr media
Never before has ‘falling in love’ been more thoroughly investigated and studied ... but then, Sherlock Holmes never liked not knowing. Instead he prefers to solve the mystery.
TBC below the cut .....
The slightly differnt filming decisions in PILOT and ASIP - the unofficial, unaired and the official, first episode of the story - give the impression of two perfect mirrors of each other, in which left turns to right and vis versa. While in both rooftop scenes Sherlock can be seen high up on a building (body/above the body) - looking out and down for his ‘pink case’ - John stands, looking up, next to a parked car (body/motionless transport) in the first version and next to a phone (voice of the heart) in the second.
The first version is created as a compact scene. It plays without any dialogue at all - there’s just ... music. The audience is aware that John can see Sherlock on the rooftop while Sherlock doesn’t seem to notice John.
In the second version the same scene is split in two separate parts. Although John does look up as well and one can asume that it is Sherlock whom he sees on a rooftop, there is no visual proof of it. Only when both characters are back at 221b and Sherlock talks about his discovery of the pink case, the missing rooftop scene from the earlier scene, appears in a flashback. This time though John is the one who is absent.
This scene is linked to the first appearance of Sherlock’s brother Mycroft (the brain) who enters the stage by an anonymus phone call, directed at John. And why should the brain communicate with the voice of the heart? Maybe because ... ‘there is a heart somewhere inside me’? At least that’s what Mycroft says in TFP. In the PILOT Mycroft isn’t completely absent either. By e-mail he advises his brother: ‘When you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains must be the truth.’  In this version though Mycroft’s appearance isn’t linked to the rooftop scene at Lauriston Gardens but to Sherlock’s and John’s first meeting in Bart’s lab.
Back to the official verson in which Mycroft doesn’t text but talk. The first phone starts ringing exactly at the very moment John looks up to the rooftop. When John finally answers the third call (under the sign of a modern ‘cockcrow’), the voice of the mysterious man on the phone gives informations about three single surveillance cameras, mounted onto buildings, all focussed at John (full observation of the mind), followed by one explicit demand:
"There is a security camera on the building to your left. Do you see it? ... Do you see the camera, Doctor Watson? ... Watch. There is another camera on the building opposite you. Do you see it? ... And finally, at the top of the building on your right. ... Get into the car, Doctor Watson.”
Viewing both ‘first statements’ (text and call) of Mycroft side by side - in relation to the scenes in which they happen (lab and rooftop) and at whom they are directed (Sherlock and John) - this almost gives the impression of some nice choreographic planning. In any case, both first episodes seem to complement each other perfectly. The introduction of the main characters in both first episodes is then followed by user manual (TBB) and chapter list (TGG) before the story finally takes its course from ASIB down to the bottom of the well in TFP. This well is located at Musgrave Hall, the ancestral home of the Holmes family, where there was always honey for tea ...
‘Get into the transport, John! ... Fasten your seatbelt! It’s gonna be a bumpy night ... My brain is terribly fast! ... When I have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains must be the truth ... the truth that lies at the bottom of the well ...’  :)))
THE BLIND BANKER
Premonition of the fall, followed by character switching and a fall down from stage to stage, from level to level, caused by a masked attacker who comes from the East, from the distant moonlight shores of the Yangtze River.
Tumblr media
THE GREAT GAME
Five cold cases, pips and explosions, deep waters and a boy called Carl. Someone stole his shoes to catch Sherlock’s attention ... someone who is closely connected to the ‘hound’. And a bomb, wearing John’s jacket, is waiting, ready to explode ...
Tumblr media
A SCANDAL IN BELGRAVIA
Distracted, hit and felled by a boomerang, brought back from the East. It falls into a Brook to be washed down a stream. The naked truth comes to light ... “We’re not a couple” - ”Yes you are” ... Officially ‘truth’ gets executed, inofficially ‘truth’ lives on undercover.
Tumblr media
The water-repellent umbrella of the brain gives the impression of a dark circular spot on the ground. Already a premonition for the deep well’s dark opening?
Tumblr media
THE HOUNDS OF BASKERVILLE
The entrance to hell is marked by the hound’s paw, illuminated by a circle of light, while the air is full of chemistry that rouses fear and terror.
Tumblr media
Lab experiments: Sherlock wants to find out how John might react to the presence of the hound. He observes how the former army doctor breaks out in panic and fear, how he seeks shelter behind the iron bars of a covered cage and even forgets that he carries a gun. Despite being ‘acclimatised to violence’ and having ‘nerves of steel’ due to his military service, it seems that the presence of the hound renders John totally impotent ...
Tumblr media
More lab experiments: Sherlock can’t find any illegal drugs under the microscope, just sugar and water ... ‘sweet emotions’ ... the basic ingredients of a ‘natural high’. In the end John shoots both - hound and dog - a foreshadowing of what will happen in the following episode on Bart’s roof .
Tumblr media
THE REICHENBACH FALL
Jim Moriarty, Mr Big G, prepares to introduce Sherlock to his - their - final problem. He is the man with the key, who is in controll of the vaults of power, who is able to free dangerous criminals from their prison and breaks open the crown jewel’s case. He is Mr Sex ...
Tumblr media
Falling for John ... falling towards John, who is caught in the circle and cross-hair pointer of a sniper’s gun, a sniper who works for Mr Sex. After the Baskerville experiments Sherlock knows how very afraid John is of the Hound, therefore the Hound must never get John. As a consequence Jim (the hound) and Sherlock (the dog) both ‘die’.
Tumblr media
THE EMPTY HEARSE
An underground journey. From dark and dangerous woods, in whose lightless depths the mind observes the torment of the imprisoned body, back to the trains and tunnels below the city of London, where the transport starts getting into gear.
Tumblr media
Then the explosive transport at Sumatra Road, the underground station beneath the Houses of Parliament, that was closed before it ever opened, threatens to bring the government  down.
Tumblr media
THE SIGN OF THREE
A great treasure from the banks gets lost to the Waters. The sign of four has become a sign of three. Not long now until AGRA steps forth and then Sherlock will be drawn into a river, a maelstrom, with only one destination.
Tumblr media
Close observation can prove dangerous because one never knows what might wait at the end. Scorched, fallen and drowned in tea. It’s the eye that first sins and then falling can not be avoided ...
Tumblr media
Some clueing and looking under the influence of chemistry turns out to be essential to find the correct solution - a solution that will lead Sherlock to one more, not expected, deduction ... Oh what a night! I felt a rush like a rollin' ball of thunder, spinnin' my head around and takin' my body under ... Sherlock’s ‘I’m in love’ deduction becomes the turning point of the story.
Tumblr media
HIS LAST VOW
Sherlock reveals and confronts Mary, his facade, which will seal both their fates. Sherlock falls towards Jim, towards Mr Sex, who is chained to the wall of a circular cell like a vicious dog, singing of pouring rain. Countless vortex-spirals-smiley faces are watching intently. Then Sherlock gets caught in the cross-hair pointer of the government ... ‘Oh, Sherlock. What have you done?’ - ‘A deal with the devil’ ... ‘You want me to shake hands with you in hell? I shall not disappoint you.’ ... ‘Dewer’s Hollow or Sherrinford?’
Tumblr media
THE ABOMINABLE BRIDE
From the beginning then: Burning tobacco transforms into a gunshot aimed at Baker Street. The veil of the bride lifts. John and Jim are connected by a circle of glowing light. How many pipes will Sherlock need to solve the final problem?
Tumblr media
Towards the journey’s end lies Rich Brook’s cauldron, Jim’s cauldron that is waiting for Sherlock. And smiling the detective plunges down into Mr Sex’s boiling maelstrom of overwhelming emotions ... flying free as a bird, carried away by the chemistry of love.
Tumblr media
THE SIX THATCHERS
The former drug-induced victorian fever dream has now been replaced by a modern ‘natural high’ and Sherlock starts to explore the cauldron. He relives the past, faces old monsters, investigates the destruction of masks and finds a memory stick with secret informations about AGRA next to a swimming pool. Could it be the same memory stick Jim threw into another swimming pool in another episode?
Tumblr media
Circles within circles ... another premonition of the dark well that is waiting for Sherlock to devour him?
Tumblr media
“Amo, amas, amat ... I love, you love, he loves.” And again circles within circles. Circles that make up a fan ... a ‘wind machine’ ... with a black hole at the centre. In the end AGRA leads to AMO. The city of Agra, on the banks of the Yamuna river, is most famously known for the Taj Mahal ... symbol of undying love.
Tumblr media
Well in the mirror ... mirror of the well? And the reflection in a mirror shows the truth ... the facade and that what the facade hides and protects. A mirror filmed side by side with a bathroom - the same bathroom in which John was ‘not shaving’ for Sherlock Holmes, the detective who likes his doctors clean shaven ...
Tumblr media
Snow-capped mountain-waves rise from the foaming waters of a stirred up swimmingpool. Sherlock and Ajay, the man who wears the Y on his cheek like Jim on his lips, are locked in a fierce fight beneath an artificial waterfall. The facade finally falls and the stream becomes a river, a torrent, with only one destination.
Tumblr media
THE LYING DETECTIVE
At the bottom of the cauldron and still falling ... that’s where Sherlock finally reaches the beginning. The great story-cycle starts to close.
Tumblr media
Smiley face, serial killer and the fall float to the surface and merge into one single case, while Eurus, the East Wind, broken loose from her prison, begins to dictate the rhythm. The‘truth’ gets in touch once more and announces her survival. Sherlock is challenged to go to Hell.
Tumblr media
‘We always saw it coming’ ... that dark abyss of the well ...
Tumblr media
THE FINAL PROBLEM
‘Patience’ wears thin and the long overdue explosion of the ‘passions’ grenade inside 221b causes a jump and a fall through fire and foggy clouds onto a ship at sea.
Tumblr media
Sherlock and John call themselves pirates. A gap in the clouds meets a hole in the ground and Mr Sex becomes the stationmaster of the East Wind’s experiments ... ‘Choo-choo! Come on now! Aaaaaall aboard!’ ... the transport takes up speed ...
Tumblr media
At the bottom of the well: Sherlock finds somthing long forgotten but deeply familiar ...  ‘Hello skull, my dear old friend! ... Hello John, did you miss me?’
Tumblr media
‘Deep waters, Sherlock, all your life. In all your dreams. Deep waters.’ ... and the vast ocean of long suppressed, overwhelming emotions yearns for the pirate to dare its billowing waves ...
Tumblr media
Water ...
Just some general basic info for good measure: water represents life, physical and spiritual birth, forgiveness, purification and flexibility. Water is also said to be a feminine energy, connected to passion and emotion. It can be associated with birth, fertility, and refreshment. In traditional western philosophy it is one of the four elements essential to life. Colours commonly associated with it are blue and green. Flowing water, like rivers, represents death, rebirth and the passage of time. Water is also a universal symbol of change and of the unconscious mind, linked to the moon. In alchemy water is associated with the element Mercury, it’s symbol a downward-pointing triangle.   (Sources:  Water symbolis X X)
At the bottom of a well ...
The surface of water is like a mirror. It gives off a reflection and reflections have long been symbolically associated with truth. ‘Truth lies at the bottom of a well’ and ‘Truth coming out of her well’ has already been discussed by several people. Jean-Léon Gérôme’s four paintings are also well known in this context. Thanks @possiblyimbiassed for this interesting link on the ‘vicar’ post. The statement that ‘truth lies at the bottom of a well’ originates from the Greek philosopher Democritus: “We know nothing in reality; for truth lies in an abyss.”
Tumblr media
Truth, lies and liars are constantly repeated themes in Sherlock BBC. Even the creators described themselves more than once as ‘lying liars who lie’. The Kafka-Paradox comes to mind:
“Art depends on truth, but truth, being indivisable, cannot know itself: to tell the truth is to lie. thus the writer is the truth, and yet when he speaks he lies.“
Well, well .....
A well is a deep hole, made in the ground, from which water can be removed. Since prehistoric times wells have had great significance. They are associated with the feminine principle, the womb of the Great Mother. In psychology, descending into a well, equals the positive regression of the conscious to the unconscious mind, to gain new insights.  (Sources:  Wells symbolism X X X X)
In myths and fairytales wells are often holy and serve as portals to the Otherworld - into the unknown world of the unconscious mind - of that what is hidden and inaccessible in everyday life. A stream leading into a well is a symbol for the union of male and female. Trains and tunnels come to mind but also that one scene in TFP of John in the well, when water starts pooring into it (Source of PRISMApic @constancecream  x) ... and also Sherlock’s line in HLV: ‘Sherlock is actually a girl’s name’.
Tumblr media
Other continuous motives in Sherlock BBC are fairytales. There are a lot of references to a number of well known fariytales included in the story. In TRF the ‘Complete Edition of Grimm’s Fairy Tales’ (published by Routledge and Kegan Paul 1948, with 212 illustrations by Josef Scharl (X)) plays an important role and leads Sherlock to Max and Claudette (the ‘big one’ and the ‘lame’), the siblings who got abducted by Jim and poisoned with Mercury.
(Fairytales master post by @bug-catcher-in-viridian-forest)
Tumblr media
Mother Holle ...
One of the fairytales, collected by the Brothers Grimm, that features a well, is Mother Holle, also known as Mother Hulda or Old Mother Frost (fairytales + interpretations). In this story two girls who are half-siblings jump into a well  - tirst the one, then the other one - to retrieve something that had gone lost. Both become unconscious during the fall and when they wake up again they have entered the Otherworld. Here the girls are confronted with several tasks they need to solve before they are allowed to go back again. The return of both girls - one covered with golden rain, the other one covered with pitchy rain - is announced by the ‘cock-a-doodle-doo’ of a rooster. The crow of a rooster - the cockcrow - is also often used as a metaphor for revelation and transformation.
Mother Holle is related to the Germanic figure of Perchta, who is a somewhat contradictory and Janus-faced character, sometimes depicted with big teeth. She abodes in the depth of a well’s underworld but at the same time she’s also in heaven from which she lets the snow fall down to earth. Eurus comes to mind, whol lives deep down below the island of Sherrinford and at the same time she is on board of a plane high up in the sky.
Tumblr media
On the one hand Frau Holle/Perchta was depicted as a young and lovely lady, clothed in white, whose power granted fertility and abundance. But on the other hand she was the old crone, a dark goddess, the queen of witches, demons and restless spirits of the dead - also called ‘the wild hunt’ - who swept up the souls of children who had died before being named and transported them to the Otherworld. As a spinner, Holle was also a deity of fate. Her festival is in the middle of winter - at the same time that is regarded as the Twelve Days of Chrismas, the Twelve Tide of the Celtic calendar.

Back to Reichenbach’s - Rich Brook’s Cauldron .....
“If Moriarty has risen from the Reichenbach cauldron, he will seek you out.” (Mycroft, TAB)
As longsnowsmoon5 pointed out in this post from 2016, the term  ‘cauldron’ was indeed a careful choice of words from the creators of Sherlock BBC. Interestingly that word doesn’t appear in The Final Problem nor in The Empty House, the two canon stories that tell about the events at the Reichenbach Falls. (Pot, cettle, cauldron)
To summarize: a cauldron is a large metal pot, used for cooking over an open fire. When a cauldron of water is placed over a fire, filled with water and boiled, its magic can be seen in bubbling action. Whatever is placed into it comes out changed. The word ‘cauldron’ is also used to describe a stiuation characterized by instability and strong emotions (for example: cauldorn of repressed emotions).
Originating from the central source of nourishment in a Celtic household, the cauldron became over the centuries a symbol of transformation and spiritual - if not physical - regeneration. Magic cauldrons appear as a leading theme in Celtic mythology. Some never empty themselves as long as they are not used by cowards. Others bring the dead back to life -  dead soldiers, so that they can return to battle - or they contain the essence of wisdom and knowledge. Ceridwen’s magical cauldron held a potion that granted knowledge and inspiration. She is regarded as the Celtic goddess of rebirth, transformation and inspiration and closely associated with the full moon.
Tumblr media
The famous Gundestrup cauldron is a richly decorated silver vessel, adorned with the horned god Cernunnos surrounded by a stag, canines, felines and bovine animals. On another plate of the cauldron two elephants can be seen as well.  (Sources: Welsh mythology  Celtic mythology  Gundestrup Cauldron  Wild hunt, sacrifice & rebirth  Ceridwen)
In Sherlock BBC the horns of bull and stag and several characters who ‘wear’ those horns (Sherlock, Mary, Mycroft, Janine and the ‘Viking’) turn up repeatedly. Some of the animals depicted on the Gundestrup cauldron make also an appearance in Sherlock BBC: elephants, cats and dogs, lions and dragons, pigs and birds. (Cernunnos the horned god , Thoughts about horns)
Tumblr media
Where the dark secrets are kept ...
A circular staircase spirals down to the ‘Alexandrian Library of secrets and scandals’, the central ‘repository where all the sensitive and dangerous informations’ are guarded behind lock and key. Not in a vault they are kept but inside a mind palace, a brain. And what an interesting choice by the creators to name that collection of most sensitive informations after the Alexandrian Library, which was one of the largest and most significant libraries of the ancient world. Maybe the decisive factor to choose exactly this facility had been its name? Because names often seem to have great importantce in this story. For example: Alexander means ‘defending man’ and this fits very well with army doctor John Watson. Alexander is also another name for Paris, the guy who eloped with beautiful Helen and so caused the great Trojan war (x).
It rather seems that the name of that mind-palace-library and the secret it keeps are actually one and the same ....
As mentioned above, a well often symbolizes the glance into the depths of the soul. It’s a place of change and rebirth. No one comes out of such a well the same person they fell into it. Wanting to find his true self - that what he really is - Sherlock has to dare this dark pit and listen to that what is waiting there. After all, information is the power to change.
And sometimes the well and the secret it guards seems to turn out to be one and the same as well .....
Tumblr media
It would be very interesting to learn what conclusions Sherlock might draw from all his detailed investigations and deductions regarding his ‘pink case’ and his preferred ‘cup of tea’ ..... :))))
Tumblr media
Thanks for reading and looking and thanks @callie-ariane for the scripts. :)

I know that I said I was taking a break, but I need to get vulnerable for a moment.
While I am firmly in camp #techlives, the uncertainty is making me anxious and I’m terrified about being wrong.
See, I lost my dad at 24 to a very aggressive case of cancer and had to watch him die a slow, gruesome, and painful death. It was, by far, the most traumatic thing that I ever experienced in my life. Seeing a character that was important to me and who played a parental role to another appear to die so suddenly and unexpectedly was legitimately triggering to me. I have been transported back to that hospice room where my dad slowly wasted away in until there was no more of him left. Add other stressors that I’m experiencing IRL into the mix, and you’ve got a full-on depressive episode.
Tech’s character also helped me accept myself as an autistic person, so I need him to be alive. Seeing him do his thing on TBB was a reminder that I mattered and an escape from the uglier, more frightening parts of my life. I don’t want to lose that.
Everyone has their right to an opinion about Tech’s fate and is free to express it in their own space, but it’s rubbing me the wrong way when I see people jump in and try to “debunk” posts about Tech possibly being alive when it’s clear that the OP is dealing with some legitimately strong emotions. This goes doubly if the person interjecting is doing so in a dismissive tone. Sometimes you have to ask yourself “is this person open to debate, or are they expressing and dealing with grief or a trigger?” For some people, fiction can bring up a great deal of real-world trauma that they experienced and are being reminded of by it. Be kind.

Hi! I've fallen absolutely in love with your modern TBB au and the fics being written based off of them. Thank you so much for drawing them, they bring a smile to my face any time the cross my dash
I have a question about Echo. You've said he's a bit older than the others and came to live with them after he served in the military. I was just curious as to how he got his amputations in your au. Was he a POW like in the show, or was he caught in an explosion?
Okay buckle up, this is probably more than what you asked for. But here ya go.
The batch didn't know that they had quite the extended family, until they joined the military. By chance alone, they end up meeting Echo and Fives from another unit, after a couple too many jokes about them all looking similar. After some digging from Tech they figured out that they all shared the same father.
Side Note
Jango had Echo, Fives, and Rex (haven't figured out who their mother is yet) Jango was also in the military, and because of that was absent for large sections of them growing up.
He ended up having a one night stand with Nala Se on one of his deployments, she ended up pregnant with the batch. But he was gone long before Nala Se herself even knew. So Jango never knew about the batch.
Many years later, he runs into Nala Se again, (she does not mention his four sons) and badda bing badda boom. The same thing ends up happening, but this time she has Omega.
The boys dont know anything about her, since they ran away from Nala Se a little before Jango showed up for the second time.
ANYWAY
So while in the military, they kinda work out what happened, and realize they are all half-brothers.
Echo's unit would work with The Batch throughout their service. Get drinks together when they could and where on pretty friendly terms.
Now to the actual question.
Echo lost his limbs when his convoy was attacked, via a land mine. Fives was killed in the explosion. And Echo was evacuated and placed in a medical coma for close to a month. He was transported back to the United States and spent almost a year in a VA hospital.
Once the batch finished their service, they left the military, and visited Echo. They offered for Echo to stay with them for the rest of his recovery, so he could at least get out of the hospital. And well, he just never left.
Not that any of them were complaining. And a couple years later, their unconventional family grew a little bit more.

Five
They’re gonna yell at you for stormin’ out like that.
Let ‘em yell all they want.
Hunter doesn’t like it when you do your elopement thing.
Hunter can deal with it just like everybody else.
Wrecker’s steps echo a bit too loud in the station’s corridor as he walks, a somewhat achy reminder that this station has, unfortunately, lost its purpose in life. Once, it held the solid position of tending to the wounded of the G.A.R., and as such could see up to two hundred Troopers a day if the fighting grew that heavy.
Nowadays, however, even though it’s got enough supplies for the welfare of around two battalions, it’s lucky to see a grand total of ten Troopers or less. Maybe that’s the amount of people in here right now, because even with his bad ear, Wrecker hardly hears anyone else out here besides himself. That’s got to be a good thing, then, because it means less chance of discovery and attack by any unwanted visitors, sure…but then again, it also means there’s almost nobody to talk to.
Especially not when the good Captain’s team of rescuers delivered Crosshair into their hands one minute; then had to go off to a different area of the station the next. Not when they’re still waiting for the grand return of AZI-3, as well as the chance of putting at least one unsolved mystery to rest.
Still…would it really have hurt Cap so much to stick around for more than a few minutes?!
Wrecker lets out a loud sigh and plops himself down in front of the nearest skyhole, his annoyance fizzling up ever so slightly. Okay, so he DID lie about going to find Fireball, but then again, he could cut the tension in that hospital room with a lightsaber, so he had to get out of there FAST. After all, he needs more to do lately, even if he won’t say such things out loud.
On the one hand, yeah, he IS happy to do other things besides fight and blow things up all the time. He’s finally bought his own paint set with the credits Cid managed to toss his way, so obviously, he’s learnin’ how to use ‘em. Already he’s tried his hand at painting a few tookas on the walls of the Marauder—red and black, of course, although he won’t exactly say no to the other colors as well—and so far, everyone seems to approve. Kriff, even Tech got so excited over his new talent that he almost dropped his datapad to get a closer look, and Tech NEVER puts that thing down. That has to count for SOMETHING.
On the other hand, though…painting and scrapping for barely fifty credits apiece seems to be ALL that he’s good for lately, because not only has he NOT had a good brawl in ages, but unfortunately, there’s been almost NO explosions whatsoever…and honestly?
The lack of any real action is becoming just so…BORING!
And if he has to be honest with himself, which he WILL—Wrecker really and truly MISSES IT.
He misses the way he and the rest of the boys could push their way through enemy lines with nothing but sheer determination and a really big ship door.
He also misses how, even though some of the locations they were dispatched to looked nothing but impregnable, they always managed to find their way in and out with barely a scratch gained in return.
And third, but certainly not least, he misses—other people. Other Troopers who not only could back his squad up in times of trouble, but also WOULD lend a hand without ever thinking twice about it. Is it SO wrong of him, then, to want SOME part of this to come back in his life?
Does it make him a giant nerfherder to wish for something else besides working for scraps from others who don’t exactly enjoy his company, let alone having to stare down the barrel of what’s left of his life and spend it in total maddening silence?
Or should he just swallow all these feelings down like they’re a tasty milkshake from Dex’s Diner, force a smile, and go on doing whatever Hunter wants…?
It’s about a minute or two later when Wrecker starts hearing voices coming from down the hall, two in total, and they sound kinda annoyed with each other. Does this mean Captain Rex is circling back around…? It might be great if he did! At least he might have somebody to vent to about his thoughts, then—that is, if Cap isn’t too busy with anything first!
“—don’t understand why—have commed—while, SIR.”
“We’ve—through this, Wolffe—utmost secrecy…”
And that’s just without the added bonus of getting to hear something, ANYTHING, about all of the Trooper rescue efforts going on behind the scenes. How wizard would THAT be if he did…?!
“I am sorry—Venator disaster, don’t get me—but it’s better if—things are kept—”
“—Who’s. There.”
All three of the men in this hall—Wrecker, Captain Rex, and a second Commander who also looks like he’s missing one eye—immediately fall still and silent, their respective focus turning to size the others up.
“Excuse me, sir, but I don’t believe we asked for eavesdroppers.”
Wrecker himself suddenly gets the feeling he’s standing before that nexu back on Saleucami, only this time, it’s learned to take on Trooper form so that it can catch human prey ten times easier.
At least, that’s the way he reads the room until Cap steps forward, one hand raised in a calming gesture.
“Easy, Wolffe, he’s a friend.”
“You’re SURE.”
“Yes. Wrecker’s—friend of Echo’s, so by association…”
“…He’s a friend of ours.”
“Correct. Now, could you PLEASE stand down…?”
Wrecker swears that he sees Wolffe’s mouth twist into a downward turn of disapproval, a lot of Troopers had done that to him before—yet, thankfully, he also must have thought things over as well, for the next thing he knew, Wolffe had let some of the tension out of the room by taking two steps back.
“There we are...thank you, Commander.”
A collective sigh spreads around the little gathering there, and Wrecker can’t help but grin a little in relief. Things are tense enough everywhere, he knows, so obviously he doesn’t want to make any rough situations even worse.
“Yeah…thanks, Commander! Er…d’ you want me to go back with the others?”
“Well, I’m afraid that depends, Trooper. What brings you out here?”
The time has come, he thinks with a little shudder, taking in a quick breath and then breathing it out again. It’s now or never, Master Billaba give me strength...
Wrecker stood up straight, made eye contact, and began to speak his peace.

You rushed through the forest quickly, speaking into your com device.
“I’m making my way to you! Be ready!” You instructed.
“Give me a sec.”
“You have 3 feet to be ready, I’m nearly there!”
“I-”
You burst through the foliage of the forest and grabbed the blaster from your teammate’s waist before shooting the enemies chasing you. You huffed and glared back at them.
“You told me you were good at this!”
“Look, I don’t do short distances!” He tried to explain.
“You’re a damn sniper, snipers do any distance with a clear shot!” You turned to the ship to another teammate, “Everyone on board?”
“Locked and loaded. This might be our last batch for a while…”
“I know.” You sighed, “Get on, we’re leaving.”
“When the Empire said they were gonna make things better, I expected Caetum to be up and running smoothly.”
“The Empire is all the same as the others who tried to keep ‘order’.” You muttered while taking off your helmet, “Let’s just get out of here.”
“This really was your home planet?” A teammate queried.
You nodded, holding onto something as the ship took off. Once you were steady in open space, you moved to the storage part of the ship where there were multiple people huddled together.
“Is everyone alright?” You hung a small lantern to illuminate their faces more.
“Thank you…” An elderly woman said and you smiled, holding her hands in yours as you crouched down.
“I wish I could’ve saved more…”
“You have done so much for us… your name already lingers…”
“The Great Lodestar.” A man spoke up, “I heard from one of the troopers that other planets were talking about you…”
“I… have freed others, but it’s still not enough.”
“It takes time.” The woman assured, “Go and rest.”
You took a moment before leaving the storage room and making your way towards the cockpit.
“We’ve set a course for the Ocsalev System. Ready when you are, Lodestar.”
You nodded, “Make the jump.”
*******
Hunter jumped slightly from a dream in one of the chairs in front of the computers. It was always a constant dream about you… his cyare. He was sure the other boys had such dreams too. It took nearly a month for Wrecker to stop screaming your name in his sleep…
“Hunter? You okay?” Omega’s voice caught his attention as she made her way towards him from the gunner’s mount.
He nodded with a gentle smile before sitting straight up. She furrowed her brows for a moment before humming and opening the cockpit door, which urged Hunter to enter also.
“We’re almost at the coordinates Cid gave us. Odd, she never sets us up on missions where we need help from other mercenaries.” Tech remarked.
“We’re not mercenaries.” Hunter muttered but Omega giggled.
“I think you have to face it, Hunter, we are.”
He sighed before sitting in his seat as Wrecker walked in.
“We almost there yet?”
“Just approaching, it’s best you sit. No need for another head injury.” Echo joked.
“We don’t have to worry about no inhibitor chip anymore!”
“But we do have to worry about how much bacta and ice packs we use on you.” Tech rolled his eyes while easing the ship into the planet’s atmosphere, “Gentlemen, and madam, welcome to the Ocsalev System.”
They landed the Havoc Marauder at a simple docking bay before making their way into the city.
“Stay close, kid.” Hunter ordered as he led the group through the busy streets.
It was fairly crowded with people going in and out of buildings or rushing through the streets. Omega admired the commotion and looked around, but the boys made sure to urge her through the crowds. To her, this city was very different from Ord Mantell, having a lack of technology and more of a natural kick to it. Houses were built around trees and into the side of the mountain, which made Omega want to explore more.
“The device says to go in here to find this so-called ‘Kapu’.”
The batch nodded before making their way into the small shop, seeing it crowded with many different weapons and droid parts. There was an alien at the head of the shop, which boggled Omega.
“What is he? He has so many arms.”
“A besalisk…” Echo explained quietly, “The female ones have up to eight arms.”
They approached the counter as the besalisk worked on a small device, using its multiple arms to hold parts and tools. Hunter cleared his throat.
“We’re looking for Kapu. We were sent by Cid.”
The besalisk nodded while looking up at them, “Clones? Huh, never thought Cid would give clones a chance!” He laughed, “Yeah, I’m Kapu. Come with me and we’ll meet the person who’ll be joining you on your mission.” He urged them with his multiple arms while walking through the back door of the shop. There was a small transport waiting with an Ewok driver. The ewok started yelling in its native language toward Kapu.
“I told you they’d get here when they get here! And here they are! Now come on! Let’s go!” Kapu got into the passenger's seat while the Batch piled up in the back, “Better hold on to something, he’s blind in one eye.”
The batch looked at each other nervously before the transport speeded off out of the city. They arrived at the base of the mountain and followed Kapu towards the small house built into it.
“She just came back from a mission, so let’s hope she’s in a good mood.” He knocked on the door, “I’m coming in, kid!”
He swung the door open, hitting a small droid.
“Aw gee, D-5, what were you doing there?!” Kapu groaned, picking the droid up.
The batch looked around the small house. It was hardly full with anything but basic living necessities. Omega immediately noticed the armor sitting on the table, admiring the visor of the helmet. She picked it up and looked at it closely.
“Wow, this helmet is really similar to yours, Echo! But it has some modifications similar to Tech’s, like the mouth guard, and a sniper’s glass like Crosshairs.”
Kapu placed the droid down and called out again, “Girl, where are you?!”
“I’m here, hold on!” You groaned, “I literally just got back, can’t I have some time?”
“No, boys from Cid are here.”
“Cid? Since when did you start taking jobs from Cid again?”
“Just get out here!” Kapu scolded, sitting down to look at D-5.
You walked through the back door and looked at him, “Did you break my droid again?!”
“He was in the way. These are Cid’s boys.”
You looked up and your breath caught in your throat from the sight in front of you. Hunter was there with Echo and Tech behind him, who were as shocked as you. Wrecker was busy looking at the helmet with Omega, but then Echo hit the side of his head.
“Ow! I thought you said you didn’t want any more head inj-” Wrecker got up and looked at you.
“Kapu, take the kid out back, she’ll help you fix D-5…”
Omega looked to Hunter, who nodded. She followed Kapu out and you closed the door gently behind them before turning back to the batch. You then moved closer to where Hunter was still standing with his brothers.
“I… I know this looks bad…” You stuttered, tears coming to your eyes, “I-I couldn’t let you-”
Hunter had engulfed you into a tight hug and sighed into your shoulder. You were rendered speechless, but returned the hug once you processed what was happening.
“Oh, cyare…” He whispered, pulling away slightly and placing his forehead against yours, “My love…”
After he let you go, Echo hugged you tight. Then Tech. Finally, Wrecker… who kneeled down in front of you and hugged you while digging his face into your stomach.
“We thought we lost you, ad’ika.”
“I’m so sorry…” You whispered, “I should’ve left something to explain, but I didn’t want the Kaminoans to do anything to any of you…”
“It was about the inhibitor chips… wasn’t it?” Echo asked.
You looked at him for a moment before nodding, “Yes…”
“Omega told us about them.” Hunter explained as you all settled down to talk, “Order 66… that’s what they were put in for…”
“To betray the Republic.”
“No. To kill the Jedi.” Echo explained.
“The Jedi?”
“Palpatine said the Jedi betrayed the Republic… tried to assassinate him.”
You shook your head, “No. No-”
“Rex explained it to us a bit further.”
“Rex? Rex is alright?”
“Yeah… we still had the chips in because they didn’t work for us during Order 66.”
“But Rex said we needed to take them out. They were still dangerous. We learned that through Wrecker and his multiple head injuries.” Tech stated.
You took a moment before looking back to them, “Cross… on Caetum, I heard the troopers talking about their new clone commander: Crosshair…”
“Yeah, his chip was working for him, then the Kaminoans improved it’s signal and now he’s with the Empire.”
“Wait, did you say Caetum?” Wrecker asked, “You went to stop the Separatists?”
You sighed, “I needed some time to get some credits and settle… but the Empire got there before I did and nothing really improved. I just got back from one of my last missions there, liberating people so they aren’t enslaved again… But there’s still so many that need help.”
“You’ve been busy, then?” Echo smiled which caused you to smile.
“I guess… but the last mission was a mess and I can’t go back anymore. The Empire is… more controlling than the Republic. They almost caught us last time.”
“‘Us’? You have a new team?”
“No, just some other mercenaries in it for money. Nothing exclusive.”
They all nodded and Wrecker spoke up, “Then maybe you could come back with us! Be a Batcher again!”
“Let’s not get too rash, Wrecker. We still need to get this job done.”
You nodded, “We’ll talk more after. Let’s go see what we’re in for.”
Wrecker cheered and you all walked out of the house. You saw Omega and Kapu sitting against your speeder while D-5 was rolling around.
“We fixed him up.” Kapu smiled.
“Thanks, his balance module was a bit out of place, maybe that was why he got hit by the door.”
“The kid did most of the work, actually.”
You nodded and looked at her, “Omega, right?”
“Yep. And… you’re ‘cyare’ according to Hunter.”
You laughed, “To him, Wrecker, Tech, and Echo… but you can call me Lodestar.”
“Good, ‘cause that would have been weird if I had to start calling you ‘darling’ or something like that.”
You shrugged, “I wouldn’t mind.”
You both laughed before turning to Kapu with the boys as he explained the job.
*******
You fastened the last bit of your armor before picking up your helmet and heading back to your speeder. Omega was sitting in the back while helping Tech with something. Kapu lent two speeder bikes for Wrecker and Hunter to use so you all wouldn’t be packed in the speeder. You walked over to Hunter as he flipped his knife and grinned as he looked you over in slight shock.
“Weird seeing me in armor, huh?”
He smirked, “I think it’s about time, Lodestar.”
You shoved him playfully before he caught you and wrapped an arm around your waist.
“I’m surprised you all have warmed up to seeing me again. I was actually expecting to be yelled at by you or Echo.”
“We’ve been through a lot recently, yelling won’t make anything better...”
“If Crosshair were here, we’d go at it for sure.”
He nodded with a small hum, which made you cup his face, “Omega told me you had to leave him behind on Kamino… It’s okay, we’ll get him back.”
He nodded, leaning in to give you a kiss, but Kapu called.
“You better get going! Almost sundown!”
You turned to acknowledge him before turning back to Hunter, “We’ll have some time after the mission… I promise.”
You got into the speeder as Wrecker and Hunter started up their bikes.
“See you in the morning!” Kapu called, urging D-5 inside.
You put your helmet on before driving off.

Injured Pt 1.
Rating: SFW/PG-13
Word Count: 1.6k
Pairing: Subtle hint to Hunter x Fem Jedi!OC
Warnings: Shootout/skirmish, swearing, I might hurt your favorite TBB character dont kill me yet
Summary: You commissioned the bad batch to take you to Dantooine for your own personal mission in search of a Jedi temple. How will this ex-Jedi war veteran trying to hide from the Empire help the rogue clones when they inevitable get caught up in the fight? And who will get hurt?
Authors note: I had this fun idea of writing an action piece with TBB, and I've had some more fun ideas with a Jedi OC getting caught up in their shenanigans. My first draft was kinda long winded, so i'm making this a 2 parter. If this gets well received enough to make me feel more confident in my writing (like 20-30 likes or smthing) ill post part 2 :)
ALSO im a big KOTOR fan so there's the tiniest tiniest hint to that ("jedi temple" and "Bol") with being on Dantooine.
Okay now for real, enjoy!
edit: thanks for the notes! link to pt 2 here
Your speeder zoomed by quickly, passing some local Bol ranchers. Dantooine was full of them, and farms too. The rural planet was actually quite peaceful, that was, until the empire arrived. Now that they were governing over citizens, they began cracking down and enforcing strict trade and farming laws. You interacted with some of the locals, and despite the clone wars being over they didn’t seem to have much love for the new Empire.
The Bad Batch had come to make a supply run, trade for food and fuel on the very small landing station, and also to escort you to Dantooine per your request (you had paid them too). Instead of paying with credits for their supplies, they had to do some “manual labor”, helping the local farmers. Based on how quiet they had been on your comm link, you thought they had been quite busy. You had your own objective here though, one you had just completed. Now you needed to leave.
You got closer to the station, and saw a high count of imperial troopers. You swore under your breath, and suddenly you felt like the items in your pack weighed more, or would suddenly burst into flames. Kyber crystals don’t catch fire, you told yourself. I think.
You pressed your comms and began to speak “I’m en route to the ship, and we’ve got imperials at the station, I hope you’re ready to take off.”
Silence.
“Kriff!” You said aloud. You slowed the speeder to a stop. The strange group of rogue clones were known for finding trouble. You had really hoped they wouldn’t find any while traveling with you.
“Tech, Echo, Hunter? Does anybody copy?”
You heard explosions in the distance.
Kriffing idiots! You shook your head in frustration and put a hand around your vibroblade holstered at your hip. It didn’t take the force to know they were behind this.
“You’re about to have some more company” you heard Hunter over the comms, blaster fire in the background.
“What the hell did you do??”
“Get to the ship, we need to make a fast exit, with or without you.”
More profanities went through your head. You engaged the speeder, faster than you were going earlier. You could hear blaster fire. You had been making a beeline to the ship, prepared to avoid the troopers, but something tugged at your mind.
They’re in trouble. You were a very intuitive person, partially because of your training as a Jedi, and also because that was just in your nature. You thought for a moment, contemplating what action to take.
Trust your gut.
You swerved and headed straight for the fighting. You slipped your mask on, and pulled up your hood. You saw some troopers marching towards the fighting, blasters in hand. They hadn’t noticed you were heading straight for them.
Glad I came to save your asses. You thought. Well, you needed them to pilot, so you were saving your ass too. One trooper turned, and pointed at you. The others started to notice too.
You set the speeder to continue forward without needing your foot on the accelerator, and balanced your feet on the seat. It kept accelerating in speed, heading straight to the center of the 10 or so troopers. Just before their blasters fired, you leaped off the bike gracefully, launching yourself high in the air. The speeder crashed into one trooper, and spun into another 3.
You landed with no problem, and prepared for action. You dodged several blaster shots, and pulled out your vibroblade. You dashed toward a trooper to the left, and cleanly sliced at a weak point in the armor. He clutched his side, and fell to the ground. One came behind you, grabbing your elbow. You shoved your elbow into his face, and heard a crack. He staggered back, and you ducked to avoid another blaster shot, getting a quick slash into the trooper you had just elbowed with a flick of your wrist.
You jumped and did a backflip, effectively avoiding another wave of blaster fire. On your way down, you stabbed another trooper in the side, and grabbed him, using him as a human shield to block more oncoming shots. You sheathed the sword, grabbed his hand holding the blaster, and shot towards an oncoming trooper. He fell down, and you fired at the remaining two who charged, and they were quickly out of the fight. You released the trooper you used as a meat shield. The entire group was now down and injured, not able to fight.
You dropped the blaster and started to run towards the main fight, but then you halted as a thought occurred to you. You crouched down to a fallen command trooper and took his comm links. This might come in handy. You continued forward, shoving the unit in your pack. You resumed your dash towards the source of the previous explosions. You first saw Crosshair, providing cover fire while taking cover himself behind a transport.
“The cavalry’s here” you said on your com link. Next you saw Tech, using two blaster pistols. He was close to Wrecker, who was throwing barrels at a group of troopers. You think they were filled with grain. Hunter and Echo were circling the troopers, trying to get a good flank while Wrecker was effectively distracting them. Hunter spotted you and spoke through comms “What are you doing? Get to the ship!”
You ignored him, and pulled out the blade again. You managed to ambush some troopers and sliced through them easily, taking down 3 in less than a minute. “You should thank me, I just took care of the reinforcements heading this way.”
You saw a knife hit the chest of a storm trooper you were just about to stab through the shoulder. Hunter emerged from behind you and retrieved his knife from the now fallen trooper. Show off, you thought.
“Why didn’t you go to the ship?” Hunter demanded.
“I had a feeling you guys could use the help.” You replied.
He looked at you for a moment after you said this, and with his helmet on you couldn’t get a read on what he was thinking. You thought he might be shocked at what you said. You noticed a trooper approaching you two, lining up a shot on Hunter. You quickly grabbed a stray blaster from a fallen trooper and shot him down. Hunter was quick too; within a second of your shot, he shot another trooper not too far away. He looked back to you, and gave a quick nod in thanks.
“What did you guys do to attract the Empire?” You asked suspiciously.
“Well to put it simply, we severely disabled a facility belonging to the Empire as a form of payment. They appear to be quite agitated with us.” Tech replied through comms.
You ducked to avoid another blaster shot, Echo returned the shot and the trooper fell. “Gee, you think so?” You spoke sarcastically.
“We need to retreat and get back to the ship.” Echo spoke, taking cover a few feet away.
“Where’s Omega?” You interjected. You looked around for her, still not seeing her. “Back on the ship, the mission was too dangerous for her to come.” Hunter replied.
You sighed as blaster shots continued to go off in the background. “What's the plan?” You heard Crosshair speak through comms. He sounded annoyed, but he almost always sounded annoyed to you, amongst other things.
Hunter thought for a moment, and then he addressed the group. “Alright, Crosshair, you’ll provide cover fire while we retreat. We’ll need some more noise too-”
“I’ve got something that can help with that.” You interrupted. “Give me some cover.” You raised up the blaster you had grabbed, then ran over to Tech, firing shots as you went. Hunter and Echo emerged from their cover to fire at the troopers nearby you. Once you arrived you ducked down behind cover and threw the stolen comm link to Tech.
He caught it with both hands. “An imperial com unit?” Tech looked at it curiously, then shifted his eyes to you. “I thought you might be able to use it. Think you can cause some mayhem with it?” You asked curiously. Tech inspected it for a quick moment. “Oh yes, this should work.”
“Alright. Wrecker, Sera, keep the troopers off Tech. Echo and I will try to keep them on us. When Tech gives the signal, we move.” Everyone got their weapons ready, Echo nodded. “No problem!” Wrecker said enthusiastically and gave a thumbs. You also nodded as confirmation that you were ready.
Echo started firing at troopers, Hunter pulled out his knife and began alternating between slashing through troopers and shooting with his blaster. Wrecker was closer to you and actually picked up a trooper and threw him. You provided some cover fire and stayed close to Tech. He was fiddling with the unit.
“How much longer?” You asked after a minute passed. “Almost…” Tech said. You felt a sudden sense of urgency, and lifted your head up, searching around. “Somethings not right-”
Hunter leapt out of cover and ran over to Wrecker, who was laughing and enthusiastically throwing some heavy boxes at the troopers. “Wrecker, get down!”
You heard shots fire, and they were different. Wherever it made contact, there was a small explosion. This was some heavy fire power. The blasts made a sweeping arc. It fired towards Crosshair, who had to roll out of the way. You and Tech ducked as a shot came your way. You were knocked back a few feet from the closeness of the explosion. You lifted your head up and saw Echo was okay, and then you looked for Wrecker and Hunter.
Wrecker managed to avoid getting hit, he was to the right lying on the ground behind cover. Hunter wasn’t as lucky though. It looked like he took some blaster fire, and fell to the ground on his back. He was holding his side, and you saw blood on his hands.

Untitled TBB wip
Here's a short section of the crosshair x bountyhunter!reader fic I'm working on
It's only 500ish words but I'm just a bit stuck for how to continue I have both no ideas and too many all at once
Reader is cross's ex, who's also working on odd bounties for Cid, both the batch and the reader have been sent for the same bounty, it was mostly unintentional since Cid didn't really know
Drabble under the cut
Sorgan was a far cry from what you had in mind when you told Cid you had wanted something ‘low key’ to work on.
Let’s face it, with no star port, industrial centers and the barest population density you'd ever seen, this place was basically barren, save for a few low life's and skeevy backwarer bars. You could see why your target chose it, you supposed, anyone with a shred of self-preservation left would avoid this place.
You were only glad for the battered plastoid mask covering your nose and blocking whatever force-forsaken smell you just knew was wafting through the muggy air.
Safely hidden in the thick brush close by the small makeshift camp, you pulled your blaster from it’s holster with one hand and aimed it vaguely in the camp's direction, free hand retrieving a battered data pad from your hip.
It balanced easily on your thigh gauntlet. The scuffed up, ashy grey plastoid had seen better days.
You were missing several pieces and barely any of the ones you still had matched. But you had loved them once, and so they stayed.
It was only because some protection was better than none. That’s what you told yourself.
You pull up the bounty file and grumble, lip curling.
Tomasso, 2nd in command for the Spice Runners of Kijimi.
Perfect. Just perfect.
“Low key my ass.” You muttered, storing the pad away and pulling a vibroblade from where it was tucked neatly into its holster, strapped tightly your right shin beneath your boot.
You scan the small camp briefly. Clearly Tomasso was travelling, moving base to base presumably. This should be easy enough.
‘No time like the present, I guess.’
----
Tomasso didn't travel lightly, Cid failed to mention that. Blaster shots took out the first two, and your blade a third.
Panting heavily, and bleeding from what you hoped was only a blade wound, you dropped to a fighting stance to take on the remaining guards. 4 of them, and 1 of you. You've gotten out of worse, you supposed.
You lunged for the first, blaster and blade in hand, kicking him off-kilter. Shots were fired, but it wasn't until you saw a sudden flash of pink amongst a sea of red and blue blaster fire, and heard a loud booming laughter over the string of voices that you realised you were not alone here.
Kriff. This was not happening.
In the kicked up dust and settling smoke you didn't see much, rather, you heard most things. Several bodies hitting the dirt with a thud, a few coughs and muttered conversations. Stealth was always your strong suit, as you moved through the confusion to grab your bounty.
“Where is he?”
“I can't see anything, Wrecker blew the transport.”
“Hey, you told me to-”
“Someone just grab the target.””
“Hunter, someone's here!”
The last voice you didn't recognise, soft and distinctly younger than her chaperones. Several things happened at once. Blasters were pointed at you, and you were being advanced on. You pulled both of your own and aimed.
Kriff this really was not happening.
“Is that-” you heard Wrecker mumble disbelievingly.
You looked up under thick black lashes. Even with the mask they recognised you.
“Hello boys. It’s been a while.”

Chapter 6
Parings: Captain Howzer (tbb) x fem reader
Warnings: nothing but some tension ;)
A Twi’lek man showed me the way to the room Rampart had told me to go to. He opened the door for me and I thanked him. My jaw dropped when I entered the room. The room was really pretty and luxurious, at least compared to what I was used to.
„It’s yours for the night“ the Twi’lek informed me and before I could say anything he stopped me. „The Admiral insists on it.“ So I just nodded and smiled at him.
The Twi’lek left and I walked around the room in amazement. It even had a connected balcony with a pretty view over the city and the hills leading out into the nature. I looked at the time and noticed that I still had much time, before the dinner, so I decided to go to Hood and Cast and inform them about what just happened.
I walked out of the larger building to the transport ships, where the troopers were loading out boxes, I felt bad for not being a help right now, but I made my way to Hood and Cast.
„Maker! You’re still alive!“ Hood stated over dramatically and Cast laughed, but looked relieved.
„Yes..“ I answered chuckling. „You two will never believe me what just happened…“ Next thing I knew was that the two had dragged me behind the transport ship and stared at me, waiting for my story. Clones really love tea, I thought to myself.
„Come on, tell us“ Cast demanded.
„Alright alright…so I guess I am Ramparts…company at a political dinner…tonight“ I explained, still not fully believing it myself.
„Is that the punishment?“ Cast joked, causing me to chuckle.
„For me for sure…“ I answered and sighed.
„And the admiral…did he ask you to be his date ?“ Hood asked, still just as confused as I felt.
„First of all, I am not his date…and it was more like an order than an invitation“ I explained. I still felt weird and uncomfortable about this situation, not only felt it very inappropriate, I also feared how much power Ramparts high rank could have over me…
Hood must have noticed how uncomfortable this situation was for me and he placed his hand on my shoulder. „Hey..its gonna be fine. Its just one dinner with boring politicians.“
„Yeah. And the food is definitely gonna be more delicious, than what we’re gonna get“ Cast joked to light up my mood.
„And I don’t mean our captain…“ he added with a smirk, I couldn’t help but laugh.
„Cut it, Cast! He’s probably not even gonna be there…“ I said the last part more to myself, than to them, but they were too busy laughing at their own jokes to notice.
…………….
The boys insisted on bringing me to my room „for safety reasons“ or so they claimed, but I knew they just wanted to check out the room.
„Whoa…“ Hood stated when he walked into and they looked around the room. Hood sat down on the kingsized bed and sighed in comfort as he felt how soft it was.
„What’s that?“ Cast suddenly asked pointing at a grey box that was placed on the bedside table. I shrugged my shoulders and Cast was quicker than me and opened it. He gasped and looked up from the box’s insides with a huge smirk.
„What is it, cast…“ I asked almost nervously. He handed me the box and my jaw dropped at what I saw. A beautiful black satin dress with turquoise details on the neckline, which was - might I add - very deep. I took the dress out of the box and held it onto my body. Yes, the neckline was more of a deep v-neck that probably almost reached to my bellybutton and I noticed, that the maxi dress also had a leg slit.
„When Rampart said he would take care of a fitting attire…i would have never thought of that!“ I stated breathlessly.
„I doubt it’s fitting for a political dinner with that neckline…“ Cast joked and scratched the back of his head.
„Yeah…no one’s gonna focus on politics tonight“ Hood agreed with his brother.
„Come on…I don’t think its gonna be that bad on…“ I stated, not fully believing my own words.
With that dress, the fact that Rampart wanted me to be his company got even more inappropriate, but I quickly changed the topic to not make it weirder, than it already was.
„You two wanna see the balcony?“ I asked them with a smirk and put the dress back into the box.
They nodded excited and followed me to the door leading out onto the balcony. I opened the door and they rushed past me and gasped at the view.
„Seven! Have you seen this view?“ Cast asked when they looked down at the hills and sighted more of our transport shuttles approaching.
„Yes. I have, Cast“ I said in a calm voice and held back a chuckle. I walked up between them and looked over the hills into the open land.
„Look! There are the others“ Hood stated when he saw the transport shuttles in one of the hanger, where our ship had dropped us off earlier.
„Oh, and look there is the captain“ Cast added and pointed down to the shuttles.
I leaned myself onto the fence and my eyes wandered over to the direction Cast was pointing at. It wasn’t hard to make out Howzer between his brothers, thanks to the turquoise details on his armor. He was talking to Rampart.
„…and Rampart“ I sighed and rolled my eyes. I turned my attention back at Howzer and kinda just watched him talking to Rampart. I got so lost in my thoughts, that I didn’t even realized, that he had turned his head towards me and it looked like smiled at me, but it was hard to make out from this distance.
„Seven!“ Cast said alarmed, hitting my arm and throwing me out of my thoughts. I quickly turned to him, confused on what was going on. „He’s looking at us!“
I turned my head back at Howzer and his smile disappeared as he noticed Cast and Hood with me. He threw a quick nod at some trooper before he walked into the direction of the buildings entrance.
„He’s gonna come up here…kriff“ Hood spoke out.
„Quick you two have to leave…“I said and pushed them inside and towards the door.
„What about you? He saw us…“ Cast asked worriedly.
„I…I will come up with something…“ I quickly said and pushed them out of the door. They didn’t move, so I told them to quickly get going. „Move!“ And they finally did.
I closed the door behind me and let out a worried sigh. Kriff, what could I say to him…I don’t want them to get into trouble…I thought to myself, trying to come up with a plan. Denying it would be extremely stupid, cause he clearly saw them here…or just act like it was normal and say the truth? Yes, thats it! I am gonna say that they helped me getting ready…there was nothing wrong with that, right?
I decided to get under the shower and if he would come up here, I could just act like I am just getting ready and nothing else…I hoped that me needing their „help“ was a good enough excuse to not get them into trouble. And maybe Howzer would just leave, when he hears the shower…
I quickly undressed myself and hopped under the shower, I relaxed at least a little bit when the warm water ran over my skin. I didn’t took too long and after I washed my body and hair and thought that, if Howzer would have checked on me, he would have been already here. And to my relief I didn't hear anything, so he probably just walked away or never even came…
I got out of the shower and wrapped my wet body into a grey towel, which was weirdly small and ended dangerously close under my ass. I left my wet hair like it was and walked out of the bathroom into the bedroom.
I gasped in shock and almost let the towel around my body drop as I saw Howzer awkwardly sitting on my bed. He hasn’t moved so at first I didn’t even noticed him.
„I am sorry, I didn’t mean to scare you“ he quickly explained and walked up to me. I still just stared at him unsure of what to say. „I-I just wanted to check on you, because I saw the others…“he explained hesitantly and I noticed, that he clenched his jaw at his last word.
„Y-yes…I asked them to help me get ready“ I lied and tried to sound as honest as possible, technically I wouldn’t have lied about them coming up her to see the room, but they paused their work for this, so it had been against the rules. I still felt extremely bad lying to him.
„Oh okay.“ He quickly stated, as if what I just said answered everything. He nervously turned his head down, almost as if he felt embarrassed. His expression changed to something I couldn’t read, when his eyes wandered up my body and his cheeks turned red when he realized that I was just wearing a towel that barely even covered me.
He opened his mouth to speak, but decided against it and turned around towards the door without saying anything. My actions were faster than my mind and I spoke out, feeling bad about lying to him.
„Wait!“ I said and paused, but it was too late now anyway. He turned around to me and I noticed his eyes shooting down my body once again. His look made me shiver, but in a good way.
„I lied. Hood and Cast came up here to check the view from the balcony…I am sorry for making them leave their tasks. It was my fault, Captain. They shouldn’t face any consequences…“ I told him nervously, but honest.
„It’s fine.“ He replied. „But something like this can’t happen again…it’s out of my hands, when Rampart finds out. He is can be harsh, when he finds out that soldiers are not following orders“
I nodded understandingly and smiled at him thankfully. „Thank you, Captain. And I appreciate you checking on me.“
He bit his lips when I said the word captain, but just nodded in response and quickly left the room.  What was THAT? His looks, the way he looked down on me and his reaction of me saying his rank…was it turning him on?
I quickly threw that thought away and tried to concentrate on getting ready. I dried my hair and did my make up, but I was unable to shut my head off in the process… I didn't even need to question my attraction towards him, he hands down was the prettiest person I had ever seen and his eyes always mesmerized me. It was hard not to drown in them. Just everything about him…his hair, the scar, his voice and that damn smile. Additional to all that, he was extremely kind, respectful, down to earth and open for action and fun. He definitely had his heart in the right place.
The looks he was giving me and the way he acted before made me question, if maybe he could be into me too… I suddenly realized how wet I was getting from remembering his looks and the lip bite. I shook my head to focus on my makeup again.
I got ready in time and got dressed and added the matching turquoise earrings and a short necklace. I looked at myself in the mirror, Hood and Cast definitely were right. No one would be able to focus on politics tonight.

Ok ok this is kinda relevant to tbb also but your jedi ocs? you said (at least one of them) has been smuggling clones away from the army, how do they go about that? And make sure no one will snitch? The clones are so indoctrinated its like, is it ethical to kidnap them when they (technically) have their free will? Or is it better to remove them from a toxic environment and give them therapy so they have an actual choice? (Tbh your ocs were just a jumping off point for this thoughts)
So how it works is that this is a really broad network of strategically placed primary contacts--non Jedi, non Republic affiliated people. The clones have to initiate it, though. The Jedi certainly can’t subtly say “if you want to leave I can get you out” (kiki tried it, it didn’t work, although there was another time she made it clear her back would be turned and that did work).
The most common pick up spots are places that just had battles, and so a clone would be more likely to be marked as MIA and less likely to actually be searched for. They do the occasional escape from coruscant, but those are much more difficult, naturally, and require dumping armor a lot sooner and more logistics.
the first part is arguably the most difficult. the clone normally is rocketing back and forth between wanting to run and wanting to go back. the middle journey, they’ve locked themselves in. and at the third part (their destination) that’s when they get the healing space and therapy. Kiki makes sure they’re always dropped off somewhere safe and quiet.
For instance, Yousa’s escape was a bit chaotic. She got deathly ill after drinking bad water while at battle, to the point the infection spread through the ship. Nobody died, but Yousa almost did, and so she had to be rushed to the floaty medical bay. Kiki knew she probably wouldn’t come back because a) she was in a really bad way, and b) she was on hormones and so that would have been a mess, so she got one of her hired guns to attack the transport ship and ferry Yousa off to Verocia, Kiki’s home planet. Yousa woke up in a hot apartment with a headache and a Jedi she didn’t know was standing over her congratulating her on escaping the army. I think Yousa didn’t really have a say in this one, but I’m gonna amend this now: kiki sends a message saying that she can stage the attack so that it looks like Yousa was kidnapped by pirates but rescued by republic forces and brought back, if she wants to return. or she can stay on verocia. yousa chose to stay.
with ridge, he’d made it pretty clear that he didn’t want to fight anymore and wanted to live life as a normal civilian. he and kiki’s relationship reached a point where they were having pretty candid conversations about their feelings on the war, and kiki just straight up said she didn’t want to fight anymore. ridge said he wanted to leave. he would have left through normal means if he hadn’t skipped a battle to go celebrate his birthday with civilians, which threw a wrench in the plan because then his commander had him arrested to be tried on kamino for desertion. kiki had to then attack his transport ship as well.

Who could have created the whistle that controlled the Great Unknown?
To understand this you will have to read some previous texts of mine. Especially about JS, the sugar bowl and the Great Unknown.
And please consider this only as a possibility.
Theories are based on textual evidence, while hypotheses are based on theories. And possibilities are based on hypotheses.
So at the moment I think maybe the one who created the whistle that presumably was in Esme's sugar bowl that controlled the Question Mark-shaped Giant Animal (also called TGU) was an ichnologist, named Gregor Anwhistle.
Let's see why. Anwhistle Aquatics was created for marine research. And the question mark-shaped animal is an essentially marine animal (though it probably survives out of the water for a long time). Thus, Anwhistle Aquatics was possibly involved in the discovery of the huge Question Mark-shaped animal in the oceans of the ASOUE universe.
Captain W. apparently knew the existence of the huge Question Mark-shaped animal, and he knew it was possible that this animal was being controlled by someone when he decided to go to the TGU even though Kit begged him and the others to flee. (TE chapter 13). Captain W. has personally volunteered at Anwhistle Aquatics, training aquatic animals (salmon). (TGG chapter 5). This is evidence that Anwhistle Aquatics had as one of its missions training aquatic animals.
Gregor Anwhistle was an ichnologist, meaning he studied tracks left by prehistoric animals. It is very likely that by searching for prehistoric marine animal tracks, he found recent traces of an existing animal. A gigantic question mark-shaped animal.
Gregor Anwhistle's knowledge of animal training possibly led him to realize that using a whistle to mimic the animal's sound could be very useful in controlling the animal. This method was already used by VFD in other animals, such as eagles that were controlled by whistle.
Another important detail is that Gregor Anwhistle was responsible for cultivating a deadly fungus that could clearly be used as a weapon of mass destruction. This indicates that Gregor Anwhistle perhaps had personal goals related to the use of death-killing mechanisms when needed.
The use or otherwise of weapons by people fighting evil was one of the Schism-related issues. This is clear from Olaf's remark concerning Ish:
"The difference is that Ishmael is unarmed. He abandoned his weapons long ago, during the V.F.D. schism, refusing to use violence of any sort. But today, you'll all see how foolish he is." (TE chapter 11).
And we know that Gregor Anwhistle was heavily involved in the Schism.
 TGG chpater 7:
"Gregor Anwhistle?" Violet asked. "He's the man who founded the
research center. Who was writing to him? "" A woman named Kit, "Fiona said." I think it's Snicker Kit - Jacques's sister. "
"Of course," Klaus said. "Your stepfather said she was a noble woman
who helped build the Queequeg. "
"According to her letter," Fiona said, "Gregor Anwhistle was involved in something called a 'schism.' What's that? "
"It was a big conflict within V.F.D.," Klaus said.
The whistle that presumably controlled the large question mark-shaped animal was basically a weapon of great destructive power. In certain circumstances, this weapon would be even better than the deadly fungus, as it could cause selective deaths.
Another important point that was at the very center of Schism-related issues at the time of Olaf's Schism was the control of trained VFD animals.
TSS chapater 11:
"Look at these creatures!" Cried the woman with hair but on beard. "When the schism occurred, you may have won the carrier crows, volunteers, and you may have won the trained reptiles."
"Not anymore," Count Olaf said. "All of the reptiles except one -"
"Don't interrupt," the sinister woman interrupted. "You may have the carrier crows, but we have the two most powerful mammals in the world to our bidding - the lions and eagles!"
Evidently the Schism cited in this passage is Olaf's Schism at the time of Lemony's marriage cancellation, as the lions were trained by Beatrice and Bertrand according to TBB the Rare Edition. The salmon trained by Captain W. were also captured and destroyed at the time of the Olaf Schism. Then, at about the same time as Olaf's Schism, Gregor had control of the most powerful animal of all in his hands.
Gregor thus possessed the two most deadly biological weapons described in the ASOUE universe: Control of a super-fast mortal animal and control of the deadly fungus Medusoid Mycelium.
Someone with such obvious mortal power needed to be contained. Gregor was warned by Kit, but he didn't stop his way of acting. I don't know what Gregor's intentions were. They could be totally pascific, like using fungi to find a cure for disease, and the gigantic animal as a means of transport. Or maybe he just wanted to use his powerful weapons as a defense mechanism, thinking that as long as VFD possessed powerful weapons, the enemies would not dare to attack. In this case, peace would be achieved the basis of fear. It is easy to see that this view divides people. It's easy to see why the Widdershins family was unsure which side to support.
At any rate, before dying, Gregor decided to hand the whistle to Esme and she kept it in a sugar bowl. It's possible Esme is related to Gregor, after all none of us know what Esme's family name was before she got married. (LSTUA chapter 5)
Esme and Olaf broke into the LSTUA-registered VFD meeting with the sugar bowl and the whistle. With this they could threaten the members of the meeting. (LSTUA chapter 3)
But Lemony soon found a way to take this power from Esme. Lemony and Beatrice stole the sugar bowl, (THH) retaining the power to control the deadly animal in the hands of one of them. Jacques Snicket released a story in the newspaper where he worked implying that the Mortal Fungus had been completely destroyed.
While the fire-extinguishing side had the control of the TGU in their hands, it was impossible to put in place mind-blowing plans to destroy VFD. But when Olaf believed the death of Beatrice and Bertrand, he must have thought the sugar bowl had been lost. This allowed him to begin his plans to completely destroy VFD, starting by withdrawing VFD's financial resources.
