Tanya Denali MASTERLIST
Tumblr media Tumblr media
People, or if I were being super precise: humans, vampires and werewolves, started slowly filling the forest avenue. Carlisle with Esme welcomed the guests at the entrance suggesting to them, I should note a very expensive, glass of champagne.
Your own glass of bubbly drink was twisting in your hand as you stood leaning against one of the wrapped in what seemed like dozens of lightbulbs tree. You didn't particularly enjoy the champagne but it was a day for celebration: so one glass couldn't damage my taste buds too bad.
In the meantime, the rest of the Cullen family's women were stuck adding the last touches to their outfits and Bella, of course, while Emmet was finishing his last quest of perfecting the wedding scenery that Alice requested. Who would have thought that from all the Cullens precisely Emmet would be the one who, as Alice phrased, had a vision of how this place was supposed to look like. And, of course, Edward and Jasper were attending to the already-arrived guests enchanting them with talks, or what I like to call chitchats, about the weather, the duration and the success of their trip here.
Eh, I dreaded the small talk.
That was one of the few reasons why you were instructed to stand somewhere in the back during the reception, trying not to draw too much attention to yourself. I won't lie that it didn't make much sense as if somebody would ever give more attention to anyone but the golden-eyed supermodels that walked and moved so gracefully it seemed like they were practically flowing through the forest scenery.
All of a sudden a light shiver bites washed over your shoulders, that feeling only visited your body when somebody was watching you, intensely and secretly. As unnoticeably as possible you wiggled your shoulder blades trying to shake the sudden sensation.
As you were pretending to make yourself more comfortable against the hardwood of the tree, your eyes scanned the forest scene and its already gathered guests. Your sight stubbled upon Jasper, who was standing across the alley from you, deep-dived into a small talk with a group of people.
Your eyes started to frame the group members person by person and it became more and more clear what those pale faces were. As your eyes finally settled on the blonde curly-haired woman, who unnaturally quickly turned their attention back to Jasper, it made the shivering sensation in your shoulders almost completely fade.
"What are you doing?" Emmett's voice pulled you out of a trance, you shook your head realizing you were stuck staring at the golden-eyed vampire for what you hoped was only a breath of a moment and not an embarrassing few minutes.
"I-... Emmett is that what I think it is?" you asked him, hardly breaking your attention from even back here incredibly stunning light-haired woman.
Not even glancing at the muscular vampire you could feel him smirk as he followed your gaze to the vampire clan. "Oh, Y/n, that's a forbidden fruit for you, my friend" he chuckled putting his hand on your shoulder.
His words confirmed your already pretty strong suspicion. "That's Denali Coven.."
"Mhm," an even bigger grin crossed Emmett's face as he clearly knew to who this whole conversation was turning. This was one of the few things that you liked about Emmett. He enjoyed mischief, teasing and sometimes even breaking the rules. So wasting no time he feed your curiosity and faded all your doubts by stating, "The woman that you cannot stop staring at is their leader, of course"
Before you could even realize that the words were escaping your lips, you heard yourself say, "Tanya Denali".
"You still gawping, you know" he added leaning into you.
You shook your head," No, I am not... I am just admiring"
"Whatever you call it, buddy" he chuckled pushing off you ready to continue his duties, but you grabbed him by the bicep stopping him in his tracks.
"Wait, what are they talking about?" you asked.
"I thought you do not like chitchats," Emmett teased while you just ignored his comment, "And by the way, can't you like," he wiggled his fingers in the air, "read their lips or something?"
You gave him an unimpressed look, "Even if I can, I can't read the back of Jasper's scalp, can I? Could you just please listen?" you asked nicely.
He chuckled at your courtesy, "Okay, let's see." He concentrated his attention on the group, "They are exchanging pleasantries and..."
For a split second, those golden eyes of Tanya's Denali's met yours as she mouthed a question you couldn't concentrate enough to read of her, what you imagined were incredibly cool and soft, lips as Emmett released the "Oh, damn it.." sound.
Before you could even ask what happened he speed-walked away leaving your attention running between the group and the walked-off Emmett not concentrating on anything in particular. Until your eyes met not Jasper's honey-blonde curly crown anymore but his covered with slight surprise eyes.
Jasper lazily parted the answer to Tanya's question, looking straight at you, clear for you to read 'This is Y/n,' the unnecessary slow response gave you a nagging feeling that with his thoughts he was searching for Edward.
Your heartbeat quickened with your gaze slowly slipping from the Cullen to connect with Tanya's Denali's, even from here, mesmerizing amber eyes. You swore you felt the air vibrate around you as Tanya spelt your just learned name. You noticed how her eyes shadowed, that one emotion that Cullen's family hoped to avoid, intrigue.
Keeping eye contact with you she lifted her champagne glass into the air like greeting you. You imitated her gesture leaning your head slightly to the right, you could not neglect the basic courtesy, after all. Even if that decision was one of the most dangerous and yet one of the best I made that night.
Your essence probably would have been glued to Tanya's face for all eternity if Edward hadn't interfered by suddenly appearing in front of you, blocking your figure from the crowd.
"I thought I taught you, that it's not nice to ears drop on conversations and especially ask somebody else to do it for you," Edward commented giving an all-knowing smile.
"I guess I am very persuasive," you bit back. ''And you are the one to talk... reading everyone's minds 24/7'' you pointed out.
Edward chuckled and signed simultaneously, the combination of emotion only he could do. "You always were.. sometimes it makes me wonder if venom would gift you the ability of compulsion because of it".
There was hardly anything ever left unsaid between Edward and I. Of course, it wasn't that we shared absolutely everything with each other or that we didn't avoid particular topics. No, it was that we said what we were truly thinking, fighting off the filters and the sugar coatings. That's why quite some time ago we made a pact, that as long as we stayed truthful to each other, he will try his best to pretend that my thoughts to him were just a white noise, though he wasn't particularly successful 100% of the time at it.
"Ahh, you need to get out of my head, Edward, you know I can feel you digging," you wrinkled your nose at the sensation.
"I apologize," he said seriously, for a moment glancing at the vampire clan across from him, "But what did I tell you about Denalis..."
"Which time?" he rolled his eyes at your comment. "Edward, what do you want me to do? You wanted me to be here, but you also seem to want me to magically combust too."
Edward shook his head looking down, "That's not-"
You ignored him continuing, "I get it, my presence is dangerous wherever I exist", his eyebrows narrowed disapprovingly at you as you emphasized the word 'exist'. You turned away from him to stare at Carlisle and Esme standing next to the "white palace" house not wanting to see his eyes cross glints of sadness.
That word 'exist' didn't bother me anymore. It described exactly how I lived my life these past years, I could almost feel that it probably summed up my whole existence on this earth. Luckily there were a little bit more than a few moments where I did feel alive, like I was truly living and not just surviving. So I didn't complain, no, I wouldn't dare, I treasured those memories and I kept pushing.
You tensed your jaw taking a deep breath, "But it never stood between us," you looked back at him meeting his attentive gaze, "It never stopped us from protecting this family," you gestured to the house as an example.
"But now", you noticed how his eyebrows once again narrowed at your words, "I get it, now with Bella in a picture, you have so much more to lose. So I will step away-"
"Stop," Edward cut you off, grabbing you by the shoulders. "Are you done?" he asked or more stated, his eyes filled with frustration. As you expected he did not wait for your answer before declaring, "You are not going anywhere..."
Edward closed his eyes like collecting his thoughts, and when he opened them again, his look was soft and with flickering glints of guilt, "I don't care about the danger that you bring," he shook his head, "No, that's not true, I do care, but that risk never stood between you and me. Between our family, because you are right we always fight for the people that we love," he clenched his fingers holding you tighter in a place like trying to indicate that if you didn't listen to his words before you should really listen to these ones. "You are part of this family, Y/n, it was never the same without you here. And for that-" He fossilized in the middle of his sentence, you only saw how his eyes suddenly filled with so much apology and sadness.
After a moment Edward came alive, narrowing his eyebrows, "For that I am sorry, Y/n," you looked at him confused. "You have been away from home for too long. I am sorry, I didn't find you earlier, as an older brother I should have, I should have gotten you back sooner. Forgive me-"
Before he could finish his sentence you cut him off by embracing him. You could tell Edward was shocked by your action, it was incredibly rare that the two of you showed any type of physical affection to each other. But he hugged you back just as tight.
"It is not your fault," you whispered to him and gave him a tight squeeze to affirm your words. "It is not, it never was," it was your time to place your hands against his shoulders making him meet your eyes, "Please, do not suffocate yourself with this guilt." he nodded giving you a small smile.
"Okay?" you asked not settling for his inaudible answer.
"Yes," Edward said, a little grin reappearing on his face.
"You know, officially, I am an older sibling'' you pointed out teasingly.
Edward laughed, it seemed to brighten the mood and bring the light of joy back to his eyes. "But only officially," he smiled, you just rolled your eyes chuckling.
"Now, could you please help me with something?" he asked.
"Of course, oh brother of mine" he chuckled shaking his head at your phrase. To this day I couldn't say if this comment annoyed him or not.
Wasting no time, Edward grabbed you by the forearm dragging you with him. Not leaving any chances for you to stare at the Denali coven's leader any more than you already did. Which, even if I would never admit it out loud, was probably for the better.
*later that evening*
It wasn't people that were filling the forest avenue after the ceremony anymore, it was the music. It slowly mixed in the air and with the help of the alcohol or just the buzzing emotion of joy, it started to loosen up the guests. That made the scene in front of you fill with more and more dancers with every passing song.
One of the rules, Alice's rules, was that every third or so song had to be slow and romantic or totally heart-wrenching, her words, not mine. I won't lie the creation of that soundtrack was so deeply engraved in my brain that I am afraid it will take more than a couple of months to erase it from the memory.
As you heard the trembling, loud and pumping song come to its climax, your eyes spotted no other but Tanya Denali, hidden from you by the crowd. She stood in the back of the dancefloor across from you with her sister Kate. As you believed, she was seemingly overlooking the stage and its dancing partners: Carmen and Eleazar, Alice and Jasper and so on, with the sign of longing and some light-hearted innocent envy desire.
You downed your drink in one gulp and stood up finally making up your mind, or maybe more courage. You took a step towards Denali's leader and your mind flooded with memory from last night's family 'meeting'.
*flashback*
"Okay, I let or more like made, Bella go home and get some sleep", Alice said entering the kitchen. "Y/n, are you done with the music?"
You sat in the chair next to the kitchen island, making the last changes in the playlist, "A second," you pressed the saved button twice just in case, "Yes, I am done," you said looking up at her. "Please, don't make me go over it again... I can barely remember what is like to listen to a song for pleasure."
She laughed at your wrinkled from displeasure nose, "I believe you."
In a matter of seconds, all the Cullens appeared in the kitchen, ready to listen to tomorrow's agenda, "So the guests should start to gather around five, " Alice informed.
"What about Denalis?" Carlisle asked.
"They will be here just before the first guests," she answered, 'human guests' you pointed out in your mind, which made Edward chuckle, you looked up at him narrowing your eyes and added, 'get out of my head, brother dearest', he lifted his hands in defence apologizing.
"So they wouldn't drag amm-" for a breath moment Alice stopped like she was thinking what kind of words to use. But you got a sense that she saw a vision because, from the corner of your eye, you noticed Edward's jaw tighten for a split second, but then like nothing happened Alice simply continued, "as much attention while entering".
Alice shooked her head smiling walking towards the window, "Now, let's move to the garden I wanna go over some parts of the ceremony," everyone except Carlisle, Esme and Jasper grunted while the three of them giggled at the other vampires' responses, but all of the Cullens followed the raven-haired woman outside.
You caught Edward by the arm before he could leave, "What was that?"
"What do you mean?" he asked with a completely clueless expression, you could tell he was faking it.
"Do not play dumb, what did Alice see?" you asked him narrowing your eyebrows.
Edward was quick to answer, too quick like he was revising it beforehand like he was expecting this whole conversation, "Nothing, just some last checkups on the weather tomorrow by the look of things it could be more sunshine than we expected".
You gave him an unimpressed look, "You serious right now?"
"What's? It's nothing to worry about, we are lucky that the ceremony will be held in the forest shade," you rolled your eyes at his nonsense. You had a feeling there was no way to get Edward talking today, ahh he could be soo stubborn sometimes, so you just let it go, for now.
*later that evening*
You collapsed onto the couch exhausted after listening to Alice's full briefing about tomorrow's wedding. There was some good news, you were given a green flag not to get involved in unwanted small talk topics in exchange for saying 'yes' to any Alice request that may or may not occur during the wedding. There was no way this won't come back biting me in the ass with something much worst, but I had a slight hope that Alice would just forget it or there wouldn't be any need for my possible talents.
Rosalie interrupted your train of thought as she settled next to you on the couch while Jasper took a spot on another couch to your right.
"Okay, I have a few suggestions", stated Edward standing in front of the TV so everybody could see him but he looked directly at you.
"So you have rules for only me," you re-phrased.
"It's suggestions," he corrected giving you a pointed look.
"Right..." you glanced at Rosalie mouthing 'rules' to her, making her chuckle, from the corner of your eye you even noticed Jasper's lips ghost a small smile.
You heard Edward sigh, "Please concentrate".
"I am listening brother, shoot it," you turned, giving him your full attention.
"First, it'd be better if you wear contact lenses," Edward suggested waiting for your reaction.
You sat silent for a moment, may or may not purposely making them wait, "It's for obvious reasons of course," Jasper added because even with the ability to sense emotions in a room, you got a feeling that he couldn't particularly decide if you were surprised, confused or absolutely unaffected by the suggestion.
Finally, you nodded your head simply saying, "I was going to either way, the less people notice, the better". Edward and Jasper nodded approvingly.
"Second, there are gonna be a lot of "eyes" during the wedding and some of them could possibly notice you. So it's best to avoid any type of suspicion," Edward continued his bullet point list, emphasising the word 'eyes'.
"You will be like fresh meat for them" you heard Emmett joke as he entered the room taking a seat on the armchair to your left.
"Thanks, dude, not creepy at all," you shook your head at his comment.
"No, Emmett has a point. Edward, do you really think it is wise for Y/n to keep away if we want to avoid intrigue about her?" Rosalie pointed out the obvious.
"People are gonna talk either way," Edward shook his head, "but humans will be too intimidated to approach her on their own when they find out she is a Cullen", Edward explained.
"Werewolves will stay in their own circle and only interfere if provoked or in danger," Jasper added in his observation.
"What about Vampires?" Emmett questioned, a silly smile settling on his lips.
"Excuse me, I am still here, you know..." you waved your hand trying to get their attention, "The one yall are talking about", four pairs of glowing gold eyes that belong anywhere but in this mundane world of ours, pierced at you.
You narrowed your eyebrows feeling like you have been treated like a total child since the beginning of this conversation, "All of you know it's not my first rodeo, right? It's literally my life. I know how curiosity for mystery works. I know how to handle it. How to handle myself". You didn't even need to look at each of their faces to know that as the last sentence left your lips, they shadowed worry of the past, what Carlisle liked to call, 'interference' flashbacks. "Look, I learnt how to break them off "
Everyone in unison leaned forward at this new information suddenly presented to them, but Rosalie was the first to talk, "It's an anchor, isn't it?" as she seemed to realize, on some level identifying your 'interferences' as vampire's thirst for blood.
You glanced at her giving her an approving smile, "Yes, it's a unique sensation. Could be a touch, a voice or a simple memory... It's a reminder of reality," You turned back to Edward who seemed to be deep in thought, "I know how to do it, you saw it yourself".
Edward shook his head. You could read from his face that he was doubting the efficiency of your method. You couldn't blame him, you didn't completely trust it too. "I believe you, it is not you that I do not trust, it's the others I worry about," he explained.
Emmett's little smirk didn't go unnoticed by you as Edward added, "And that brings us to the last point. Denalis"
You narrowed your eyebrows in confusion, Jasper definitely should have felt that surprise emotion blast from you, "Beware of the sisters" Jasper translated.
"Or beware them of you," Rosalie casually suggested the alternative, which may or may not was closer to Edward's thoughts but we will never know.
"So basically you already decided that they are going to draw my attention, but I can't theirs," you mumbled hardly believing the words of your technical and not siblings.
"Oh, they will capture your attention," Emmett seemed to particularly enjoy this rule of Edward's, possibly because he had a pretty good feeling you will be searching for a plothole for this one, looking back he was right, "And knowing you, Tanya would be drawing a lot more than just glances from you," Emmett teased.
You rolled your eyes, "I swear, if yall going to make a bet about this... I will remind to your vampire ass's what nausea feels like", Emmett lifted his hands in defence chuckling.
"Look, just stay safe," Edward said. "You better than anyone know that humans are humans, werewolves are werewolves and-".
"Vampires are vampires" you finished his sentence.
He nodded, "Desires, nature and especially curiosity win over logic and common sense too often".
One thing that really bothered me about Edward's words was his sudden awareness of Denali's coven. Even if I have never met them, to my knowledge, the Denali clan was the closest vampire coven to Cullens. Their family was the next thing Cullens trusted after their own and that was an incredibly huge deal. They had a history and a particularly strong bond. Both families shared too many similarities in how they saw the world and what role they wanted to play in it. That's why for Edward to refer to them so suspiciously was alarming. Something was happening in the bigger picture and I needed to find out what it was.
You were starting to get annoyed with only half the information presented to you. And Edward noticed that but to his relief, Alice suddenly burst into a room, "Hey, I need your help." Rosalie, Emmett and Jasper stood up clearly knowing it was them that overly-excited vampire referred to. "Y/n, you need to go get some rest, I need you bright and smiley tomorrow and Edward do not dare to peek outside."
"Yes, ma'am" Edward and you reported in unison.
*end of the flashback*
"Hello, ladies," you said approaching the two Denali sisters with a welcoming smile, but your eyes lingered on Tanya Denali just a little longer, unconsciously earning for her to stab her eyes at you.
The moment Tanya looked up settling her golden eyes upon you, you felt how the air was knocked out of your lungs. 'Whoah..' was all your mind could comprehend at that moment. She was even more stunning up close.
Tanya returned you a sweet smile that dulled your senses even more. Even for a vampire, she was breathtakingly beautiful and you couldn't help but wonder how magnificent she probably looked in the sun.
You were brought back to earth by Kate's comment, "Ahh, finally the mysterious, Y/n," she said excitedly. You could feel Kate's curiosity brewing by the seconds as her eyes ran between you and her sister analyzing this new and divine atmosphere between the two of you.
You just nodded your head approving that it was indeed you. You mentally scrunched your nose, there wasn't really anything mysterious about me, just unwanted secrecy.
As unnoticeably as possible you took a deep breath, powering up the courage that you had stocked up, hoping your voice wouldn't fail you, "Tanya Denali, would you dance with me?"
Your senses weren't as fast as vampire's, so you could never be 100% sure if the sudden cover-up question of hers was to hide the shock that ghosted Tanya's face because of your question or if it was just your imagination, but what you could state for a fact was that Kate was wearing the biggest grin on her face.
"Didn't Edward warn you for some bizarre reason not to interact with us?" you heard Tanya say. The melody of her voice mesmerized you and yet somehow it didn't feel like it was the first time you heard it, it felt so familiar, so comforting, so senses diminishing. You believed she could sweet-talk you into anything and everything. And those were not good news, not for a person like you, not with so much to hide.
You didn't realize you were holding your breath before the chuckle escaped your lips, Cullen's weren't exaggerating about how attentive Denalis or at least Denali's leader was. You smirked at her, "Well, he is no boss of mine, is he now?"
That made both of the sisters laugh, leaving Tanya's lips spread an enchanting smile that you just had to innocently add, "After all, it's just a dance, isn't it?"
"Tanya if you won't go dance with her, I will", Kate said jokingly, you could sense that she was already starting to like you.
You laughed at the comment, only for a split-second glancing at the vampire, not wanting to leave Tanya's eyes unattended. "So what would you say?" you lifted an eyebrow in question, stretching your hand towards her to take.
You would be lying if your heart was listening to your brain screaming at it to calm down, at that breath of the moment before Tanya's lips spread the most charming smile as she took your hand and said "Yes".
You led her a little bit further into the dancefloor. You could feel multiple pairs of golden eyes piercing every part of your body as shivers ran through your spine. But you didn't care about any of those looks, the only iris eyes you were curious about were the ones secured on your face so close to you.
"How are we-" before Tanya could finish her sentence the fast-pumping song came to an end and its place took a new track perfect for a slow dance.
She saw a satisfied smile appear on your lips at her surprised expression. "Just trust the process," you whispered, bringing your right hand to Tanya's back while her's settled on your shoulder and your other gently gripped her left hand bringing it into the air.
You danced like that for a moment, slowly swinging in the scene. Enjoying the sensation of electricity surrounding both of your bodies due to closeness and touch.
That enchanting smile engraved on Tanya's lips, which some part of you wished was only reserved for you, made you fall for it more and more with every passing second.
"So tell me about yourself?" you broke the comfortable settled in silence, minus the music, of course.
"What would you like to know?" Tanya asked so simply as if she would reveal anything you'd wish to know but only if you knew how to ask it.
"I want to hear everything you'd like to share... Your thoughts and your dreams. Your favourite era, art form, sex position, blood group-" you started naming.
"A what now?" she interrupted surprised but a little smile played at the corner of her lips.
"Yeah, you're right, I do not really care about your favourite blood type," you joked shaking your head slightly.
She laughed at your answer, making your heart swirl at the sound. You unnoticeably gulped at the feeling, Tanya was moving mountains in my heart quicker than I thought possible.
"You're so different," another enchanting smile crossed her lips as she stated.
"Ahh, am I doing a bad job at keeping a mystery of me," you teased trying to hide the fact that Tanya's smile kept dulling your senses.
She chuckled, "Can I be honest?".
"Always," you said more seriously, truly wishing to know what was happening in that mind of hers.
"There is such a thick fog around you, Y/n. Every time somebody looks your way you can feel Cullens hold their breath. And yet you are the one suffocating from that mist, from that, what seems, unwanted secrecy," Tanya stated. It took all of your strength not to tense your body at her words and betray that she was actually pretty accurate.
She continued, "You are so charming and sweet and I believe the list could go on and on, but?"
"But?" you asked your eyes narrowing at her sudden cut short sentence.
"But as far as I noticed tonight, people that you love are incredibly important to you," you nodded approving her words, but not completely understanding what she meant. "So that intrigue that is following you like a magnet everywhere you go is your biggest asset and yet your biggest downfall. That is my thoughts", she smiled genuinely technically answering your first question.
Tanya was starting to read me like a book with those attentive eyes and an incredible mind of hers. But I couldn't tell her that she was right and yet I didn't want to lie to her either. I couldn't tell her the truth and damn her for a lifetime of holding her breath because of who I was. So I played it off like I do, like I always do.
You looked at her absolutely amazed, "Hmm, so you think I am charming," you joked narrowing your eyes at her, only to be met with Tanya's chuckle.
"Well, you are incredibly spellbinding yourself," you said with a charming smile clearing the air, receiving an intriguing look from her that only could mean you were given a green flag to continue.
You tightened your hand around Tanya bringing her closer, just to start leaning her back, "And incredibly insightful and intelligent," you whispered with your lips nearly touching the smooth ice skin of her neck, making her eyes flutter shut for a moment from your hot breath.
As you slowly began to return both of you to the previous position, you continued "And yet I feel that behind that serious leader mask is a playful soul."
She lifted her eyebrow at you, "So you think I am spellbinding," she imitated your playful answer earlier.
You laughed and just let yourself get lost in her bright amber eyes, believing that you could admire Tanya for all eternity.
"What are you thinking about?" she suddenly asked making you come back to the planet Earth.
"Being honest?" you imitated her question
"Always," she said with your favourite enchanting smile.
"What colour your eyes were before your transformation," you said simply as if it was the most casual thing to wonder about. Tanya looked a little bit taken aback by the question. And with that a terrifying feeling washed over you, "I am sorry, I didn't mean to-".
"No," she cut you off. "It's alright, I- Just nobody ever wondered about it, ever," she explained looking away from you to the crowd of people.
Your heart melted and at the same time stung at her words. How could possibly nobody ever wonder that?
"I don't even know that I remember it myself," you saw her smile shyly still not meeting your eyes. All of a sudden you got a feeling that nothing really takes Tanya aback, that nothing really makes her shy. And you couldn't help but grin to yourself like a maniac for it.
You freed your left arm from Tanya's soft grip and gently lifted her chin with your fingers so the two of your eyes would meet again. "I imagine them as the deepest ocean. The watercolour blue," you said having her full attention back to you.
You wrapped your left arm around her fully trapping her in your lap, making Tanya melt against your warmth. "That freezes you to your bones when they are angry and surrounds you like the warmest embrace when they are in love," you spelt it firmly to make sure she knew that you meant every word. "They are the colour blue that makes you get lost in them and still makes you feel at home. And yet I think it is in general your eyes that make me feel this way. That is what I think''. The softest look flashed on Tanya's face as she brought her free hand to touch your cheek.
She suddenly gasped realizing that with her action she was starting to free half of your face and tried to remove her palm. But to her surprise, you quickly caught her hand bringing it back to your skin. The touch did chill your face muscles and made electricity settle in and yet you loved every part of it.
You could tell she enjoyed the warmth slowly spreading into her palm. "Who are you? Who are you to them? Where have you been hiding all this time?" Tanya whispered to you her eyes filling with adoration, relief and may or may not hope. The kind of hope that you buried deep inside yourself long ago.
You were about to say something, completely unaware of what was about to leave your lips when Alice appeared in your peripheral vision, "Sorry, to interrupt, but I need that favour, Y/n" You quietly signed frustrated by the interruption but a promise was a promise.
The two of you released one another from each other's grips and just before Tanya could move further from you to make some space, you caught her right hand in your own.
From the corner of your eye, you saw a slight surprise at first settle on Tanya's face as she looked down at your interlocked hands but then a bright smile spread her lips
"Yes, what will it be?" you asked Alice. You didn't really give much thought to your last action you just didn't want to let go of Tanya just yet but it seemed to stunt Alice for a moment, that's a first, shocking raven-haired vampire was incredibly hard. "Alice?" you re-asked.
She shook her head, "Ah, yes, I need you to sing this," she handed you the papers that you just now noticed she was caring.
You sighed worriedly looking down at the notes. "Wait, you can sing?" you heard Tanya's shocked voice.
You looked up at her but before you could answer, Alice beat you to it, "She does, Edward isn't the only one with a musical gift. Y/n has a really great voice."
"She is exaggerating," you protested giving Alice a pointed look.
"No, I am not," Alice said, brushing away your warning look.
Like sensing that you were about to protest again, you heard Tanya say, "I love to hear you sing," you turned to her as you felt her squeeze your hand in support.
You smiled at her softly, but teased, ''You should really reconsider".
Tanya chuckled, giving you that enchanting smile of hers, "Not a chance".
You laughed lightly but sighed too, "Alright, then," you turned to Alice reporting.
As Alice happily jogged away, you felt Tanya's intoxicating scent fill your lungs as she leaned closer to whisper "Find me afterwards".
You gulped turning to her, "With pleasure" you said feeling completely out of breath.
She smiled at your answer winking at you and turning to walk towards the crowd of people that was ready to settle to their tables again.

Unbreakable Bond - Jasper Hale x female reader
Tumblr media
Summary: Someone reveals your relationship with Jasper to the Cullens
Words: 1.5k
Warnings: a little angsty I guess but mostly fluff
Y/N’s POV
The Cullen household is bathed in a soft, warm light, casting a cozy ambiance over the living room. We’re all gathered here, the entire Cullen family, and our guests from the Denali Coven. I’m curled up on the couch, next to Seth Clearwater, our own unique mix of vampires and wolves living together in peace. Though I’m a vampire now, I’ll forever be grateful to the Cullens for making me part of their family.
The Denali visitors also have a new member, Isla, who possesses a remarkable and unique ability - the power of relationship identification. If I were human my heart would be pounding and I’d be sweating buckets from anxiety as no-one knows about me and Jasper. I’ve been trying to mask my scent with Seth’s all evening and I know it’s been pissing Jasper off but he understands, knowing it might still be too soon to tell anyone our relationship. Alice left just over three months ago, wishing our relationship well and hugging us tightly before she slipped away.
We’ve all been sitting together, enjoying the light conversations, when Isla suddenly goes silent, her brows furrowing as she looks around the room. Her eyes dart around the room, evaluating the various relationships within the house. I feel her gaze on me, and it sends a shiver down my spine. I hope she doesn’t discover our secret.
As the night wears on, the tension within me mounts. Isla’s sharp gaze flits between me and the members of both our covens, and her curiosity seems to be growing. I can’t help but fidget on the couch next to Seth. He gives me a knowing look, his eyes filled with sympathy and understanding. We’ve been through a lot together, and he’s one of the few I’ve trusted with mine and Jasper’s secret. Seth’s hand settles on my knee, thumb rubbing soothingly and I can feel Jasper bristle from across the room where he’s sulking, leaning against the wall.
Finally, a calming silence falls over the room, conversations slowing to a quietness that is only broken by the record playing in the background. Esme, Rosalie and Tanya are looking at Isla with curiosity and I’m shifting in my seat again, my legs still over Seth’s lap and his fingers drumming a comforting rhythm on my calves.
Isla's penetrating gaze is unwavering, and I can sense her curiosity burning like a flame in her dark, enigmatic eyes. Her words break the silence, each syllable imbued with a contemplative and almost otherworldly quality. "There's a bond here," she speaks softly, her voice tinged with reverence, "A romantic bond that's stronger than anything I've ever sensed before." Her statement lingers in the air, and I can almost hear the collective intake of breath as everyone's eyes dart around the room, desperately searching for clues.
My heart should be pounding in my chest as her gaze momentary flits to Jasper, who shifts his position from where he leans against the wall. I can feel the weight of the room’s expectations, the unspoken questions about who this powerful romantic bond might involve. My eyes dart from Jasper to Seth again, the latter trying to provide me with comfort without drawing unnecessary attention.
Then, an electrifying moment unfolds. Isla’s voice, trembling with excitement, pierces the stillness as she cries out, “It’s you!” The words seem to hand in the air, leaving everyone shocked and bewildered. After all, everyone knows Jasper’s mate - Alice - left him months ago, a revelation that had sent ripples of sadness through the family and making me feel even guiltier than ever before.
But Isla seems to pay no heed to the apparent facts, as her eyes dart frantically around the room, unwilling to let go of her conviction. Then, with sudden clarity, her intense scrutiny lands on me and Seth, the two of us glancing at each other and I’m swallowing hard, somewhat panicked as Isla whispers somewhat uncertainly, “You?”
Her words feel like an electric shock, coursing through the room. I feel like the ground beneath me has crumbled, and the eyes of the Cullen family, the Denali visitors, and Seth all turn towards me, their expressions ranging from shock to confusion. I can't bear the weight of their scrutiny, the disbelief in their eyes.
In that overwhelming moment, I’m gripped by an uncontrollable surge of emotions. I jump up from the couch and, without a second thought, flee from the room. My footsteps are swift and soundless as I rush outside to the porch, needing the cool night air to soothe myself.
Out on the porch, I grip the railing tightly, my body trembling with emotions. My chest aches, but no tears come; vampires can’t cry. It’s a though my body is trying to release something that’s forever been denied to me. The weight of the revelation, the fear of judgement and the sudden exposure of my hidden relationship with Jasper has left me in a state of turmoil. I close my eyes, trying to steady my racing thoughts and find solace in the tranquility of the night.
With my eyes closed, I focus on the cool, night breeze, hoping its gentle touch will provide some relief. But its not the wind that soothes me. It’s the warmth and presences of someone wrapping their arms around my waist from behind. A familiar scent fills my senses, and I shudder as soft, cool lips press against my shoulder.
Jasper. He’s here, holding me, his presence a comforting balm for my turmoil. His empathetic powers come into play, and a calm washes over me, as if he’s channeling his own serenity into my very being. In that moment, the world around me fades into obscurity, and it’s just the two of us, finding solace and strength in each other’s embraces.
Slowly, he untangles himself from me, but his hands remain gentle as he turns me to face him. He cups my face in his cool, comforting hands, his golden eyes filled with love and understanding. He begins to speak softly, “You know how much I love you, right? And I want you to know that Alice left letters for everyone when she saw this day coming.”
His words are a balm to my anxious heart, reaffirming the depth of his love and commitment to our relationship. I can’t help but smile though my lingering uncertainty, touched by his unwavering affection. But before I can fully process the weight of his words, he moves closer to me, my hips pressing against the porch railings, and his strong, sturdy body now surrounds me. The space between us vanishes, and the electrifying tension in the air seems to grow hotter.
Jasper’s lips find mine with an urgency I haven’t felt since the first time we kissed when he opened his emotions to me. Neither of us realising the first time that his emotional manipulation powers can go both ways like Bella’s where he can let me feel how he’s feeling. It’s almost euphoric, being able to know exactly how he feels with no barriers.
The kiss is a heady fusion of sensations. His lips are velvety and cool against mine, an exquisite contrast to the heat that radiates between us. I can taste a hint of his unique, familiar flavour, an  alluring combination of the forest after a summer rain, the subtle sweetness of his breath, and the enticing essence of Jasper himself.
His emotions are a revelation, an unfiltered connection to the depth of his desire and longing. I feel the surge of his love, a powerful current that engulfs me, overwhelming but incredibly tender. There’s a are, unbridled passion in his kiss, a manifestation of the profound emotions he feels for me. It’s almost euphoric, this unadulterated exchange of feelings, being able to know exactly how he feels with no barriers, just the pure, unfiltered connection of our love.
The kiss itself is a passionate dance, an exploration of each other’s souls through the meeting of our lips. It’s an affirmation of the love that binds us, acknowledging the intensity of our connection and a promise of the forever we’ll share together.
“Come back inside with me," Jasper murmurs against my lips, breaking the kiss but not the closeness between us. His words are filled with warmth and reassurance, and I can feel the sincerity in his embrace.
"They hate me," I confess, my voice a soft whisper as I rest my forehead on his shoulder.
Jasper gently lifts my chin, his golden eyes meeting mine with unwavering love. "No one hates you," he says, his voice tender and filled with conviction. "They may have been surprised, but we'll face this together. You'll see, they'll understand.”
He places a sweet, lingering kiss on my forehead before entwining his fingers with mine and gently coaxing me back inside. His presence is a source of strength, and with him by my side, I find the courage to face whatever challenges lie ahead

Can I request an elijah mikaelson x reader fic where she’s Bella swan’s older sister by several years who moved to New Orleans, got married to Elijah, and became a vampire? They go to forks for Bella’s wedding and the mikaelsons are recognized by some of the cold ones?
P.s. love your work :)
I had just finished rewatching the Twilight movies. Also I hinted at a possible part two.
Warnings: Fluff, Protective!Mikaelsons, Klaus being Klaus, Cute sister bonding
It was a surprise to you when you got a call from your father that Bella was getting married. Followed by a wedding invitation and it struck a cord in you. Which was how Elijah found you, his beautiful wife, sitting on the bedroom floor teary eyed.
"Love? Are you alright?" Elijah asked worried getting down next to you. You looked at Elijah with teary eyes showing him the invitation.
"My baby sister is growing up.....she is getting married." You say softly and Elijah smiled gently wrapping you up in his arms.
"My love, Isabella was going to grow up sooner or later. It'll be okay." Elijah says trying to lighten the mood. Elijah knew how much you loved your sister, being married to you for five years had taught him that much.
"But she is just a baby!" You said looking up at your husband who was trying hard to not laugh.
"'Lijah why is Y/N crying? What have you done?"
"Nothing Niklaus. Isabella is getting married." Elijah says handing the invitation to Klaus. The hybrid raised an eyebrow reading it over before smirking.
"Shall we go and welcome the boy into the family? Threaten him to be sure he never harms Isabella?" Klaus asked and before Elijah could say a word you perked up.
"I would like to know who this Edward Cullen is."
--
"My older sister is coming to the wedding." Bella tells Edward a bit worried. Carlisle smiled putting down his book. The family was a gathered around to help plan the wedding while Bella sat worried just who be coming.
"It'll be nice to meet the woman you talk so highly of." Carlisle says noticing the worried look on her face.
"I'm sure. But Y/N's husband and his brothers are a bit overly protective and I hadn't had the time to tell her I was dating."
"Don't worry Bella. It'll all be just fine." Alice says skipping over to Bella with a smile. The human smiled still worried but if the Cullen's were calm about it then so would she.
--
It was the day of the wedding and Bella was happy to see you again. Was a long while since she last saw you. So when she saw you next to Elijah who was holding Hope. She felt happy and moved to greet you and to see Hope again but Edward stopped her.
"Bella, who is that?" Edward asked her staring at Elijah and you.
"That is Y/N, my sister and our niece."
"How does she know an ancient one?" Edward asked as Carlisle walked over having noticed you and Elijah.
"Elijah? That is her husband, why are you being weird about it?" Bella asked looking at her now husband with a raised eyebrow. Carlisle watched Elijah introduce you and Hope to the Denali coven and he wondered how the Denalis knew Elijah.
"Elijah and his family are the first vampires." Carlisle answered Bella who looked at you and Elijah surprised.
"What? What do you mean?" Bella asked watching Carmen touch your bumb with Eleazar. Elijah smiling as Hope babbled to Tanya and Kate.
"They are the first. From my understanding a witch did a spell on a vampire from one of their bloodlines, mutating the vampire venom. Making us, as they call us cold ones."
"And how does the Volturi feel about them?" Bella asked as it seemed you were fitting in very well with Denali coven.
"They fear us." Bella jumped hearing Klaus's voice behind her. The hybrid smirked hugging Bella before narrowing his eyes at Edward.
"Nik! Thank you for coming." Bella says holding her brother-in-law's hand smiling.
"Of course sweet Isabella. Rebekah and Kol sends their love both still enjoying their honeymoon bliss."
"Well knowing them, they'll send wedding gifts." Bella says as Finn came walking up also staring Edward down. Both Mikaelson men made Edward nervous even more when Elijah joined the group.
"Isabella, why don't you go see Y/N and Hope?" Elijah says smiling and Bella was unaware of the tension that was building, she nodded heading over to you.
"So young Edward what is your intention with our dear Isabella?" Elijah asked as Carlisle stepped in his eyes flickered over at Jasper and Emmett, both ready to step in also. Edward swallowed, he had already faced Charlie's shovel talk but to get one from the oldest vampires alive? Made Edward die a little inside.
--
You smiled at Bella who had Hope in her lap listening to the four year old talk. You had gotten to know the Cullen women who surprised that you were a vampire and pregnant.
"So how did you and Elijah meet?" Rosalie asked making Bella pause when you froze. It was never talked about how you met Elijah, the only people that knew was Bella and the Originals.
"Oh you know, a cute moment of meeting at a party." Was the lie you told everyone not wanting to tell what really happened. Rosalie and Alice stared knowing you lied but didn't push it as Esme smiled softly.
"And how are you?" Esme asked looking at your bumb and you brighten up.
"Elijah's older sister is a witch and help us have a baby. Since Hope came into our lives, he wanted a baby of his own."
"When are you due?" Alice asked watching you wipe Hope's mouth. There was a sudden air of motherly love around you when you also began to help Bella take her vail off.
"Some time in winter. By the way, I noticed that Jacob isn't here." You said looking around seeing Billy and Seth but no Jacob.
"He....he was busy." Bella tells you making you narrow your eyes as Elijah joined your little ladies group. Hope whined for her uncle who happily lifted her up gently cleaning the cake from her cheek.
"How was your shovel talk?" You teased Elijah as he leaned down kissing your cheek.
"Niklaus threatened to tear the boy's spine out and paint with young Edward's blood if he ever hurts Isabella." Elijah says looking at the Cullen women seeing their shocked faces. Bella sighed looking Elijah while you were fixing her hair.
"There was no need. Edward would never hurt me." Bella says getting Elijah's attention. Elijah smiled rubbing Bella's shoulder before sitting down.
"We are well aware dear Isabella but you know Niklaus is protective of family. He was angry when we learned the boy put you in the Volturi's path."
"How?" Alice asked watching Elijah smirk.
"Your false Kings should be careful on who enters their home." Elijah says feeding Hope some more cake as the Cullens stared while you weren't surprised. Elijah had planted a few little spies in the Volturi since it was away to keep an eye the Kings.
"How do you know the Denali coven?" Rosalie asked noticing Finn speaking to the Denalis.
"Finn and I met them from when we both were in Alaska." Elijah says as Hope grabbed his attention pointing to her father.
"Excuse us, it seems Hope wants her father." Elijah says standing up and Finn took Elijah's spot next to you. And the Cullen women watch Bella happily talk to Finn and you, excited for the baby.
--
"The Volturi want Edward to turn me." Bella says as you sat with her eating some cake. It was just the two of you sitting on the deck watching the party guest. Since you were pregnant and Bella in a gorgeous wedding dress so you both couldn't climb a tree. Both of you just having a sister moment just like you used to before you got married and Bella living with your mother.
"Do you want to be turned?" You asked her taking a bite out of the cake. Bella looked down swinging her feet.
"No....but I have no choice...."
"No you do Bella. The Volturi can not force Edward to turn you or else they will suffer the wrath of the Original family."
"Did you wanted to turn?" Bella asked you, not knowing the Cullens were listening in. The Cullens had been curious about you since meeting you.
"Elijah had no choice to turn me. It was that or I die, Celeste made Elijah choose between me or his family. Obviously he chose me."
"If there was choice....would you turn?" Bella asked you and you looked down at Elijah seeing him dancing with a sleepy Hope.
"I would....look I won't tell you what to do Bells. But if you really love Edward then do it but don't let the Volturi influence your decision."
"Okay. Thanks sis." Bella says laying her head on your shoulder and you kissed her head. You laced your fingers with Bella's.
"They really won't let the Volturi force Edward to turn me?" Bella asked and your answer terrified the Cullens.
"If it came down to it, they'll slaughter all of Volterra for you. I know they will never let you be harmed. That is a promise of Always and Forever." You tell Bella enjoying your time together before she had to leave for her honeymoon. Both of unaware of the soon to be mess that was to come.

Carmen keeps her gaze fixed outside the window, watching Edward's dark gray Volvo leave their driveway and back into the thicket of trees that lined the way up to the house from the main stretch of road. He'd probably still be able to hear their thoughts until he was miles away.
In the living room with her are the rest of the Denali clan, Irina being the only one sitting. Her eyes, which were starting to turn to a black hunger, swivel from her sisters to the other two. While her talk with Carmen went well enough to calm her down, Irina was still opposed to the idea with working with the wolves. To her they were just mindless beasts that had no humanity, even though that was far from the truth. The rest of them knew that the wolves were more human than any of them were.
Irina, already having a feeling of what was to come, was reaffirmed in her suspicions when Kate takes a seat too close to her on the couch. Ready to reach over and deploy her supernatural gift.
Tanya clears her throat, apprehensive of how this would go. “We don’t want to do this, Irina, but we can’t trust you. Not if you’re still thinking about going to the Volturi.”
Her lips purse together, hands that were on her knees curl up into fists as she regards someone she considered a sister. “So you’re putting me under house arrest?”
“Until you can genuinely promise us that you won’t do anything harmful to the Cullens or the wolves of La Push. Right now, we can’t afford to let you run free.”
Traumatized after watching Sasha be decapitated by the Volturi, Irina was obviously under the complete control of the Volturi’s fear mongering. Any transgression against the law of the Volturi should be meted out by punishment. The wolves were one thing. Going against a promise made to the mega coven was on another level. The Cullens, and Bella for that matter should be reported to them since Bella was no longer willing to keep her end of the bargain. She couldn’t step into their world and stay a soft, weak human. And she was the one who couldn’t be trusted. Bella wouldn’t be the first human to blab about the existence of vampires.
“Why are we putting our own lives for people we don’t even know?” Her tone rises to a higher pitch as her desperation and hysteria were beginning to leak out. “What has this Bella girl or even this new girl done for us? We’ll only get the wrath of Aros and the others! Chelsea can easily-“
“No more, Irina.” Tanya snapped, even making Carmen stand a little straighter. Tanya could get truly ugly when she’s at a boiling point. She was the closest to Sasha, related by blood to her and having spent the most time with her, was particularly mortified by Sasha’s execution by the Volturi.
Never verbally agreed upon, Tanya was the leader; the one to make the big decisions due to her seniority.
Irina, acknowledging the hierarchy in their clan, winces in submission and simmers down. But there was resentment brewing in the depths of her gaze.
“We’re doing this because it is the right thing and because the Cullens are our closest allies. How many times have they come to our aid? They helped us get started here. Helped us to get into our vegetarian lifestyle.” Tanya tries to explain to Irina. “And they’re good. Even (y/n) and I’m sure the others in her pack. They alone were the ones to rise up when Victoria was a threat to the safety of Bella and the community of Forks.”
Carmen and Eleazar nod in mutual agreement. “We met them. They just want the best for the people they’re sworn to protect. The wolves aren’t just animals. They have their humanity intact.”
“Even Bella was a truthful and considerate person. She knows what she’s doing but has to stay true to herself. If Edward and (y/n) are fated to be together, then she felt she had to step down. Bella will not tell anyone.” Eleazar adds.
At this point, nothing they said could satisfy Irina. She was stuck in her grief and the thrall of what she deemed injustice.
With Kate planted next to her though there wasn’t much she could do about her situation but stew. Unbeknownst to anyone else in her coven, a war was be waged in Irina’s heart. On one side were those of her coven-mates. The other was a blob of toxic hate, curling it’s tentacles in her belly.
She didn’t know who would win in the end.
**
You were sent home with extra pancakes to eat on the road. Managing to eat all of them within the following two hours, you regret not eating them sparingly to last you the entire trip. So you pry more information about the Volturi from Edward. Apparently last year he’d gone to Italy where the Volturi established the center of their coven. At that point of his life he didn’t want to live anymore thinking that Bella was dead. He knew if he transgressed against Volturi law that they would kill him.
You should have felt uncomfortable when he spoke of her. Maybe you should have even felt jealous. Imprinting possibly had something to do with it. When you couldn’t come up with a concrete answer, you tend to blame it on imprinting.
Bella was his first love.
The Volturi had tried to recruit Edward for many years due to his special powers as well as Alice. Vampires that were in possession of such skills were revered in the Volturi. That was another reason why they were a formidable force and the largest coven in the world.
A reminder that they could wipe out your pack easily if they desire.
Not just your pack, all of Forks.
“Do you really think with enough allies we can win?” Even with Evita’s help, you worry that it won’t be enough. The Volturi sound vast in their power and unstoppable in regard to number of members.
Edward doesn’t pretend like it’s not a possibility that everyone could be slaughtered. Even he finds himself doubting the ability of being able to persuade the Volturi to change their mind let alone defeat them. There were many specially skilled vampires in the Volturi. Excellent trackers and those who specialized in espionage and total carnage.
There were vampires employed with the Volturi who had such unique skills, that it wasn’t a wonder how they had garnered so many members. In particular a female vampire named Chelsea and Marcus were detrimental to ensuring that they remain loyal to the three vampires who ran with an iron fist.
“Chelsea can influence emotional ties that people feel toward one another. Love, loyalty, hate. . . She has the ability to strengthen and break bonds. Many other vampire covens have been destroyed thanks to her power. Her job is made easier with Marcus who can see relationships and connections.” Even Edward was smart enough to fear them. You hear it in the grave tone that sends chills up your arms. Like they could already be watching you.
Unconsciously you toy with the charm Evita had made you. You didn’t know if it worked, but it gave you a soothing placebo. None of the Denali members mention or even noticed it.
“But I wouldn’t give up on our cause just yet.” He shoots you a small smile. “Carlisle and Jasper have been talking about looking up some old friends. There are many others that oppose the rule of the Volturi. I’m sure the Romanian coven would be all too happy to kill a few Volturi members if possible.”
The edges of your eyes round. “Like Transylvania Romania?”
He laughs and it’s such a pure sound that it has your heart aching to hear it again. “Well kind of. Their coven was formed even before Romania was formed. They’re the oldest coven out there but unfortunately it’s just two left now. The others were killed by the Volturi.”
You chew on your bottom lip before asking “Is there really no other coven as big as them?”
Solemnly he shakes his head. “Our kind are mostly nomadic. It really isn’t that often that we find other clans.”
Whether the others in your pack would agree with you or not, you’d started to consider the Cullens and the wolves one large family unit. You and Edward were finally bridging the gap between the two. With time maybe the others would think like you too.
With both wolves and vampires, your mixed coven would potentially be the strongest; even enough to make the Volturi nervous.
”It still feels odd to drive into La Push without worrying about breaking the treaty.” Edward muses as he pulls out of the highway. “I don’t know if I’ll ever get used to it.”
You chuckle and in the distance you catch the long howl of one of your packmates. A welcome as well as alerting the others that their sister was back home where she belongs. Above the treetops and mountains, the sky was already a vibrant array of purples, pinks, and orange. The drive was just as long coming back but due to Edward’s fast driving you still made a record time. You couldn’t wait to stretch your legs and run in your furs.
Edward caught the howl to and hums. “Do you know who that is?”
Your lips curl into a smile as you nod. “Yeah. That was Collin. I can tell by the whiney quality in it.”
While the original plan was to drop you off at your house so that you could reassure your parents that all went well, but there’s a curtain that descends over Edward’s face. Instead he drives the car straight to Sam’s residence.
You sit up straighter. “What’s wrong?”
”Evita still doesn’t know about Jacob, right?”
You didn’t like where this was leading to. “Right. . .”
As the car pulls up into Sam’s driveway you see an unfamiliar car out front beside Sam’s vehicle.
Now you could catch the scent of not just Jacob, but Bella and Evita as well.

It was one thing to fall in love but it was another when it was three women who were totally out of the question. Y/N Y/L/N was not only one of the most beautiful vampires in the world she was part of the Volturi who were a group of powerful yet elegant vampires. She was the fourth leader but she stayed in the shadows and watched. No one knew about her except Aro, Marcus and Caius the other three leaders. Y/N was able to manipulate the shadows wherever she went. She would sometimes use her powers to kill humans before drinking them dry of blood. She would sometimes rip the flesh off of the people she was drinking from so it looked like an animal attack. Even though she looked like a 19 year old girl she was well over 4,000 years. She has Long black wavy hair and pale skin. Her eyes were white with red in the middle of them. She had a scar going all the way from her eyebrow down to her cheek. She had another scar that was across her lips.
She was currently sitting in the diner that was in forks sipping on her whiskey that was in a glass when she heard the bell to the door open. She whipped her head towards the door and saw Charlie walking in with a girl shorter than her. She sniffed the air before licking her lips as she watched the two sit down in the corner booth. "Miss" someone said causing Y/N to look over to see one of the waiters standing behind the bar top looking at her. She groaned and closed her eyes as she heard the man's heartbeat picking up. She opened her eyes under her blacked out sunglasses and looked at the man. "W-would you like anything else" he stuttered out and Y/N smirked. "Yes in fact I need your help with something if you don't mind" Y/N said and the man shook his head. "What do you need help with" He said and Y/N stood up before drinking the rest of her glass of whiskey. Y/N pulled her sunglasses down and watched as the man's eyes widened in shock. Before he could move he was compelled to go into the forest and wait.
Y/N walked into the forest and saw the waiter waiting causing her to smirk as her eyes lit up. "So what now" he asked and Y/N walked up to him. "Now I need you to be quiet" Y/N said and the man nodded. She grabbed him by the shirt and pulled him close before sinking her fangs into the man's neck causing him to scream out in pain. She covered his mouth before she used her shadow powers to kill him. She felt him go limp in her grip so she let go and watched as he dropped to the ground. She bent down and used her nails to rip off a piece of flesh from his neck. She stood up before licking her fingers clean before dashing off back to her house. She stopped dead in her tracks when she saw three women standing in the doorway waiting. The three looked up and smiled when they saw Y/N standing a couple of feet away from them. "You guys shouldn't be here" Y/N hissed out as she bared her fangs at the three women. "Oh come on Princess don't be like that" Tanya said as she stepped aside so Y/N could unlock the front door. "We know you missed us Sunshine don't deny it" Kate said and Y/N growled as she pushed open the door a little too rough. "You guys need to leave" Y/N said and the three sisters rolled their eyes.
Tumblr media
"Why do you want us to leave so badly" Irina said as the three stepped into the house. "Because it's forbidden damnit you're coven and the Volturi as sworn enemies don't you get that" Y/N shouted before turning around to look at the three blondes. "And you guys should know that you're the founders of the damn coven" Y/N growled out and she was slammed against the wall by Irina who was looking down at her. "So what we don't care anymore, we only care about you" Irina growled out causing Y/N to gulp. Even though she lived longer than the three of them they were scary when they got mad. Especially Irina since she rarely ever gets mad. Before Y/N could say something Irina smashed her lips onto Y/N's silencing all of her thoughts she had. Y/N closed her eyes and tilted her head back as she felt Irina trail her kisses down Y/N's neck. "You belong to us and we belong to you that's all that matters in this god damn world" Irina said before she bit down on Y/N's neck with her fangs causing Y/N to jump slightly.
Y/N had gone back to Volterra, Italy for something urgent. "What's so important that you had to bother me for" Y/N hissed out as she stormed into the room shoving a vampire out of the doorway. She immediately smelled the fresh scent of blood making her look over to see a pile of dead vampires. "You got to be kidding me" Y/N said as she looked at the three who were sitting on their thrones. "Y/N so glad you could make it" Aro said as he stood up and stopped right in front of Y/N. He held his hands out and Y/N just looked up at her with a glare causing him to drop his hands. "Sorry that we disturbed your fun in forks but we have urgent matters to attend to" Caius said and Y/N scoffed. "And what would that be" Y/N questioned as she raised an eyebrow. "The Denali Coven" Marcus said and Y/N's eyes widened in shock for a moment before her face turned stone cold. "What about them" Y/N said as she clenched her fists together tightly. "It seems one of our scouts found the three leaving your house that was in forks a week ago" Aro said and Y/N looked at him before clenching her jaw tightly.
"Do you know anything about that" Caius said as he slowly stood up along with Marcus. Y/N looked at the three as her shadow magic started flowing out of her clenched hands. The three looked down and charged at Y/N but she was quick to stop all three of them and the other vampires that had entered the room. "YOU KNOW IT'S AGAINST THE RULES TO HAVE CONTACT WITH THE DENALI COVEN THEY'RE OUR ENEMY" Marcus shouted out as Y/N backed up a bit. She held them all back with her shadow magic but it wasn't gonna last long since there were quite a few. The doors flew open and Y/N looked over to see the Denali Sisters rushing in and stopping. They looked over to see Y/N holding the vampires back. "Need help Honey" Irina said as she smirked mischievously. "Yes that would be nice even though I could take them all out" Y/N said and the three women rolled their eyes before attacking some of the younger vampires. Y/N looked at the other three leaders. Marcus looked between the four women before locking eyes with Y/N. "They love her" he said causing everyone to stop fighting and look at him. "And she loves them" he continued right before his head was ripped off by Y/N.
Y/N looked around the huge room and saw vampires littered all over the floor some with their heads ripped off. "Well that was something" Tanya said breaking the silence. The three sisters looked over at Y/N to see her pacing back and forth. "Y/N Sunshine" Kate said as she made her way over to Y/N who looked up. "What the hell is gonna happen now" Y/N asked and Kate wrapped her arms around Y/N from behind before placing a kiss on Y/N's neck where Irina left the bite mark. "What will the red of the members of the Volturi say when they get back" Y/N questioned and Kate kissed Y/N's cheek. "Well you're the only leader left so you do whatever you want to do no one to stop you" Tanya said and Y/N looked up to see Tanya standing in front of her. Y/N narrowed her eyes before her lips twitched up into a smirk. "Join me and become the other three leaders we can combine our covens" Y/N said and Tanya cupped Y/N's face in her hands as Kate kept kissing Y/N's neck. Irina walked over lastly "what happens if some of our people don't like it" Irina said and Y/N licked her lips before her eyes darkened slightly. "We kill them" she said and the three smirked. "Alright only because we love you" Tanya said before kissing Y/N on the lips.

Emma and Masen sat at the kitchen counter watching Edward cook dinner. He laughed into the pot of pasta, children’s thoughts were always so random and funny. You were in the master bedroom on a conference call with a buyer for one of your portraits. After finalizing the buy, you joined everyone downstairs for dinner.
You enjoyed watching Masen play with her friend. It was such a simple, normal life. You and the girls went out to the circus in Seattle before you dropped Emma back to her house to parents that were very grateful to have a tired, ready to go to sleep child on their hands.
The next day it had started to snow and Masen wanted to catch snowflakes. Embry agreed to come with you guys since he was already on patrol. Edward took the time to go hunting with his family. Masen was jumping around trying to catch the flakes. She finally caught one and went to show Embry, who was in wolf form. You and Embry both laughed a little when you Masen frown once she realized the snowflake had melted in her hand before she reached you. Embry’s head shot up and you looked in the direction he was. Up on the cliffs was a figure.
“Mommy, who’s that?”
You stepped a bit closer. “I think that’s your cousin from Denali? Irina!”
Irina ran off. You and Embry looked at each other. You decided to go back to the Cullen house and inform them. Carlisle came back from the phone.
“Tanya convinced Irina to come reconcile with us.”
“Well, it looks like she changed her mind,” Edward said.
“She must’ve seen Embry and gotten overwhelmed. She’s family, she’ll come around.”
Everyone watched as you and Masen started to paint in the windowsill. Masen had Edward’s talent for playing the piano but she still enjoyed painting with you. You would draw something on the canvas for her and she would color it in. Alice’s gasp brought you all to her attention.
“No, whatever you’re thinking honey, no.”
“What is she thinking of?” Embry asked.
“Going to the Volturi.”
Embry was up in an instant. “No.”
“They think Masen’s an immortal child, we prove to them that she’s not.”
“They’ll kill you.”
“I will go alone if none of you are willing, but it’s a risk I’m taking for our child.”
Masen clung to you as you all waited. Carlisle had invited the Volturi to come have a meeting. Everyone was against the idea but you had held your own so much that they caved. Edward was first to cave when you threatened to go to Italy. If you were going to meet the Volturi, it would be in his house and on his terms. The pack was in the kitchen, Masen was one of their own.
Aro was not pleased at the scent of wolves but couldn’t do anything about it. They understood that technically this was wolf territory and since everyone was supernatural there was nothing they could argue about. Aro grabbed Edward’s hand to see the vision. He pulled back with a stunned look on his face.
“Where is the child?” Caius asked, wanting to hurry it up.
“She’s upstairs.”
“Bring her.”
Edward raced up to get Masen and brought her back down. You pulled out your phone to show them photos of Masen’s growth.
“You can see that she’s growing everyday. She was born not bitten.”
“I don—”
“Believe it.” a growl ripped from your throat.
Aro knew when his welcome was overstayed, even if Caius didn’t. The Volturi left with no more than a good afternoon— except Marcus who very fondly left a note and parting gift. Marcus was the only vampire in the Volturi you trusted.
~~
You were sitting on the front porch with Embry. Edward was waiting in the car with Masen, the four of you were going on a vacation. It was supposed to be five but Embry’s boyfriend had work and would be meeting you on a different day, taking a plane instead of roadtripping with you.
“It’s a couple years away but you know we’ll have to move, you know.”
“(Y/N/N), what’s with the face?”
“I can’t ask you to leave the pack, Em.”
He threw an arm around your shoulder and pulled you in, resting his chin on the top of your head.
“The pack will understand. You’re my imprint, I go where you go, okay? Now I think your husband and child are getting antsy about getting on the road.”
You laughed and took Embry’s hand to stand up. He threw his arm back around you as you two walked to the car. Edward smiled watching as you two approached. There was always a possibility of trouble occurring especially with how unpredictable the Volturi could be and as much as he was worried about anything happening to him, he was glad you had someone else there to pick up any pieces.

Hello! May I please request a Tanya Denali x vampire fem reader one shot with a bit of smut? Where R is Tanyas mate, and when a discussion comes up about past "partners", R admits she isn't very experienced with sex/ intimacy due to trust issues but wants to give herself fully to Tanya.
Tumblr media
Tanya Denali x F!Vampire Reader
Summary: Request up Top!
Warning: Smut, Fluff, Established Relationship
Minors do not interact!
------------------
A laugh erupts out of you as Tanya kisses your neck as her hands make their way up your shirt. She always had some surprise for you when you got home from what you called a human life. She never ceases to surprise you. You couldn't even make it into the bedroom before she tackled you to the bed.
"Stay still, Y/n" Her words mixed with laughter as you squirmed under her. "Wait Tanya, wait!" Panic rang through your words as you clutched her hands that were an inch or two from your chest. Tanya caught on to your panicked voice. Her hands quickly moved out from under your shirt before they cupped your face.
"What's wrong?" Did I do something? " You could feel the concern and tension in the room starting to build. She didn't do anything wrong. "Nothing, love. I just…" Tailing off was the worst thing to do to Tanya. She was a quick-minded person. Well, vampire, but she always thought the worst. It was always the case, knowing her past.
"Just what?" Her hands left your face as they lowered themselves into her lap. "I just never you know" You could look up at her. You were even surprised that you could even tell her. Why didn't you let her make love to you.
"You never..." She was quickly making the pieces connect. "You've never had anyone touch you?" You whined at her words. "Yeah, but I've had past... partners, but I never wanted to because I thought… That maybe I wasn't good enough". Finally, you looked up into her amber eyes. Her gaze was strong, making you melt under it. "You're embarrassed?...." "I know you know I've had many people to share my body with, but if you're okay with it... For the first time I would love to fill that part in our lives." Her face moves closer to yours, her lips meeting in the middle.
Once again, your laughter erupted out of you as Tanya kissed you. Breaking the kiss, you nodded, "Make love to me, Tanya." You whine as her hands grab your waist and her lips re-plant themselves on your neck. Her hands found their way back to your chest, finally starting to tease your nipples.
"Tanya, please just-" She cuts you off as she starts to take off your shirt along with your bra. You stop her as she starts to undo your pants next, but you quickly take it from there. She did the same with hers while you lay there watching her undress in front of you. You thought perfect wasn't the word you would ever use for her. She was more than perfect.
Tanya wasted no time making her way in-between your thighs. You couldn't help but push them together, even though her hands planted themselves on your inner and outer thighs. Still, you couldn't help but want some friction with her, getting you all hot and bothered.
The smirk on her face made you whine, but quickly shortened as Tanya's hands worked their way up your thighs to your wet pussy. You could feel your lower stomach drop with a pulse as she moved your panties down your legs, then across the room. You let out a huff of a laugh but quickly stopped as Tanya planted her face in front of your pussy. Her eyes looked up to gaze into yours. "Please, Tanya."

"We should do this more often," Bella said as she moved Renesmee in her lap, to make the girl more comfortable in her mother's embrace.
"Don't put ideas into Y/N's head, Bella..." Garrett playfully said and I smacked him in the arm.
"I'm just glad we're all together again," I muttered, closing my eyes as my male mate caressed my hair with the tip of his fingers, and my feet rested on Kate's lap.
I've been dating Garrett for the longest I can remember. Only a few years ago, when we had to comeback home to witness for Renesmee's situation, that we met Kate.  Having another mate came really naturally to us. In my family, this never happened before. Carlisle had Esme, Edward had Bella, Alice had Jasper, and Emmett had Rosalie. Garrett always made me feel complete, but Kate made us both feel full. She was such an extraordinary woman, always seemed to impress Garrett and I.
Joining her coven was a whole different story. Garrett felt fine about moving out to Alaska, but being away from Forks and my family was weird to me. Of course I never had second thoughts, it was hard for me to leave but, I needed to put my mates first. I was a Cullen in my heart, but I had to put that name behind me. That was the worst part of adapting.
Once in a while, our coven comes back to Forks, just so I can spend a nice time with my family. Kate likes the rainy days and catching up with Bella, and Garrett loves to be silly and joke around with Emmett. Seeing everyone together makes me realize how much I miss my family, and wish we could move to Forks.
I try not to feel sad about this, and don't say anything about it either. I could never ask Kate to leave her family, I know she would feel just the same way as I do now. Living in the same house as Irina can be a little annoying, but I know she would hate being away from Tanya, Eleazar and Carmen.
When I suggested coming to Forks for a couple of weeks, they were absolutely thrilled. It has been a week since we left Alaska, and we were having lots of fun. We play games, we hunt together, we get to enjoy the cloudy weather, and have movie nights.
"What are we watching today?" Tanya asked.
"I hope is not another Harry Potter film," Emmett said in a melodic way, making us chuckle.
"I like Harry Potter," Renesmee frowned confused.
"Of course you do, sweetheart. Can we watch Star Wars?" Garrett said suggestive.
"What about something more real? Why can't it be a romance movie?" Carlisle asked and everyone looked at him, "What?"
"Thanks Romeo, but no. And Renesmee is here, we need to watch something family friendly," I said like it was obvious.
"Why don't we watch a Marvel film? That supehero stuff?" Rosalie suggested and Jasper scoffed.
"Please don't make me go through that kind of torture again. Alice made me watch eight different Spider-Man movies!"
"What about Titanic?" Edward shrugged and I rolled my eyes.
"Again, Renesmee is here! Can we please just pick something without too much romance and people dying? I swear to God I'm gonna make us watch Harry Potter for the fourth time," I snapped.
"We could watch Frozen." Garrett said and I looked at him.
"What?" Alice frowned, just like the rest of the vampires present.
"I like Frozen. Actually, we like Frozen," He said pointing to me and Kate.
"You like Frozen?" Esme asked in disbelief.
"Yeah? Y/N is into musicals, Kate likes cartoons, and I like snow," Garrett smiled, his arms around me and Kate, caressing our backs.
That made me feel a little more guilty. It's snowy all around the country when it's winter, but winter in Alaska just hits different, and Garrett is all about the snow.
"Frozen it is then." Bella said, choosing the movie in the streaming app.
I love musicals. I remember the first time I made Garrett watch Hamilton and he almost had a epiphany. Watching musicals like Frozen with my mates were my favorite part of our relationship. Garrett knew the lyrics to every song, and Kate was crazy about "Do you want to build a snowman?".
Then, in the middle of the movie, Edward paused and looked at us:
"Can I just say, it's hilarious that Y/N, Kate and Garrett are singing all the songs in their minds?" He said, bursting into laughs.
"I have no idea what you are talking about," Kate whispered trying to keep a poker face.
Eleazar snorted, "Just admit you know the lyrics,"
"I wasn't gonna say anything, but they are unbearable when it comes to Frozen. If Y/N starts singing one song, the three of them keeps singing the rest of the songs from the movie!" Carmen blurted out and Garrett avoided everyone's gaze with a silly grin im his lips, feeling a little embarrassed having his secret exposed.
"Well, in their defense, at least they make a great trio. And Garrett is an awesome Olaf," Tanya tried to make it less embarrassing for us.
Emmett laughed out loud and pointed at Garrett, "Hi, I'm Garrett and I like warm hugs!" he mocked, trying to imitate my mate's low voice.
"Y'all should be greatful we're not watching Aladdin. This would turn into a karaoke night," Kate said and I nodded in agreement.
"Next time we should do a karaoke night then," Alice suggested.
"Yeah, I would love to see Garrett's talent with a mic. Maybe his gift is in the voice," Jasper frowned his nose.
"Oh, you guys are not gonna know where his gift lays," I smirked looking at Kate.
"Ew!" Everyone said in unison.

Happier - Edward Cullen (Day 1)
Tumblr media
Summary: She comes to Forks to be a witness, and sees that Edward is happier and so is she. Pairing: Edward Cullen x Reader Word Count: 1,400 Warning(s): angst, bella bashing(?), etc. If I'm missing something, let me know.
Song Inspiration: Happier by Olivia Rodrigo
"I hope you're happy I wish you all the best really."
A/N: This is part two of Traitor. Read part one here. ---
Dear Y/n,
I can’t say that I blame you for leaving because I know I would've done the same if it were Emmett. I think all of us knew you were getting ready to leave, except Edward, of course. He was too busy with the human to see what was going on with you. Speaking of him, two weeks after you left, he started dating that human. It’s honestly pathetic how much he talks about her. It’s Bella this, Bella that. Bella, Bella, Bella.
She would not sit there and say she wasn’t hurt by the fact that he moved on so quickly. If she knew him well enough, and she did, then there’s no possibility that he could’ve fallen in love with her in two weeks.
But fair warning, Edward couldn’t stand the smell of her without wanting to kill her, so he left and is heading to Denali. So, I suggest you leave before he gets there. Oh! Don’t forget to call once in a while.
Love,
Rosalie.
‘Of course, he is,’ she mumbled under her breath.
“What's wrong?” y/n looked up and saw Kate standing behind her.
“Edward. That’s what’s wrong,” she said, setting the letter down on the coffee table in front of her. “Now he’s on his way here because he can’t stand the smell of the human, he is seeing without wanting to kill her.”
“Edward is dating a human? Does he know what risks come with that?” Carmen entered the living room where they were, joining the conversation.
“Yeah, of course he does. He’s not stupid. An idiot, maybe, but not stupid.” She sighed, “Listen, I can’t stay here if he’s coming. I got to go while I still can.”
Tanya put her hands on y/n’s shoulders. “You’re always welcomed here.”
“Thanks.”
“Where will you go?” Irina asked.
“I got friends whom I haven’t seen in decades. I think it's about time for a visit.”
The first person who came to mind about who she wanted to visit was Siobhan. She met the red-haired woman in 1919 when she, Carlisle and Edward were traveling about, going from one place to another. It also would be nice to see Maggie again. She considered the young girl a sister. So off to Ireland it was. When traveling, she forgot how hard it was to be inconspicuous. She was sure she drew some attention to her pale skin and quiet nature. But she didn’t have time to deal with them as her flight was boarding.
Seventeen long hours later, she arrived in Ireland. If there was something about Ireland y/n loved was the wide-open spaces with nothing but the green grass and tall cliffs with castle like structures at the top.
“Hello?” a smooth, rich Irish accent answered.
“How much do you love me, Siobhan?” she asked.
“What did you do?”
“Why must you assume I did something?”
“Knowing you? You did something that warrants a phone call. So, what did you do?”
“I left Edward and Forks, and I may or may not be in Ireland currently.”
“Which means you are. Stay where you are, I’m going to get you.”
Y/n didn't have time to say bye before Siobhan hung up. A short time later, a car rolled up to the curb of the airport. Siobhan sped off as she got in the car.
Siobhan turned towards her friend, “So why did you leave Edward?”
“There was a new girl, a human of all people, and he was just infatuated with her. She was all he ever talked about, completely ignoring me. Made me feel like I wasn’t important. Did our vows mean nothing to him?”
“It’ll be okay.” Siobhan reassured her, ignoring the fact that y/n said Edward was with a human.
“I sure hope so.”
Y/n stayed with the Irish coven for a year and a half before moving on to doing charity work in New York. And from what she’s learned in the many phone calls to Rosalie, they were in New York as well after Bella’s eighteenth birthday party because Edward up and decided they needed to leave. So, any free time she had, she’d spend it with Rosalie and Alice. However, she only spent a small amount of time in New York before leaving again and going to Canada. Little did she know that her time in Canada would change her life.
While hiking during a beautiful Canadian sunset, she heard a twig snap behind her. Y/n wasn’t scared for her life. She was very much capable of defending herself. Her head snapped up in the noise's direction and saw no one. ‘Maybe it's just me imagining things,’ she thought to herself. Just then, a figure zoomed past her to stand in front of her.
“Who are you?” the figure said. He stood tall, unusually pale skin (a telltale sign to her he was a vampire), brown hair and pitch-black eyes.
“Who are you?"
"I asked you first."
"I asked you second."
The two exchanged silent looks. "Why do you look familiar?"
"Do you know Carlisle Cullen?" She asked. The man across from her recognized the name and grinned.
"I do. Are you one of his?"
"You can say that. Y/n."
"Randall."
The pair became inseparable as the months turned into years. They traveled all over the world, taking in everything it offered. Coming across Randall was one of the best things to happen to her. He made her feel special. Like she was important. He was her mate, her true mate.
One cold, winter night in Alaska, she and Randall were on a rooftop of a building, talking about their hunt earlier in the day when from behind them they heard someone clear their throat.
“Rose? Emmett? What are you doing here?”
Rosalie let go of Emmett’s hand, taking a couple of steps forward. “We need your help. The family needs your help.”
Rosalie explained everything that happened with Edward and Bella, and now her niece, Renesmee, and how she was a vampire hybrid. Her eyes widened in shock. She didn’t think it was possible. Regardless of what happened with Edward, she knew she had to help. It was her family, and family was always there for each other, no matter what.
It didn’t take them long to get to Forks. It's been years since she’s been to the house, and it's nice to see that it hasn’t changed.
“Y/n?” She turned to see Esme. “Y/n! It’s nice to see you!”
“It’s nice to see you too, Esme. I wish it was under different circumstances.”
“Yeah. Who's your friend?”
“That’s Randall. My mate.”
While the two of them talked, she walked into the house. “Y/n? I’m surprised you’re here.”
“Listen Edward. I’m not here for you, and I'm certainly ain't here for Bella. I’m here because Renesmee is an innocent child who doesn’t deserve any of this.”
“I’m glad you came. We need all the witnesses we can get.” Edward said. “Would you like to meet Reneesme?”
Y/n nodded her head yes, and a little girl, who was a perfect mixture of Edward and Bella, stood in front of her. She could hear a heart beating and the blood pumping through Reneesme’s body.
She bent down to Reneesme’s level. “I’m Y/n. Aren’t you a cute little thing.”
Renesmee stretched her hand out and caressed her face without saying a word. The thoughts and memories from Renesmee from when she conceived to her traumatic birth to now flashed through y/n's mind. Amazed, she gazed up at Edward.
“When’s they coming?” she asked.
“Alice said when the snow sticks to the ground.” Bella replied.
“Listen, I want to apologize.”
“Y/n, you don’t-”
“No, Bella. I want to. I should’ve known that as soon as Alice started seeing you in her visions, that Edward was going to leave me for you. I was just- I was incensed. How could he throw away sixty-six years together for a human that posed a great threat to us, our kind? Yeah, it hurt for a while, but with time, I got over him and I found my true mate. You didn’t deserve any of the hateful comments I said about you. I hope you're happy. I wish you all the best, really."
“That means a lot, Y/n."

Word Count: 1,272 Demetri x Denali reader Oneshot Warnings: Possessive Demetri
Key: Y/C - Your colour
Possessive Prompts: well I would like to ask one where the reader and a denali (if you want you can put that she has a gift I don't care about that) is I found out that she is the companion of our magnificent tracker Demetri Volturi.  note: she is a witness who is on the Cullen's side. Possesive order numbers: 1,2,12,24 For @amelia-morgana
Y/N Denali was adopted and raised by Eleazar and Carmen and they lived with her aunts Kate, Tanya and Irina in Alaska. Eleazar planned on turning his daughter when she was 21 years old but not all plans work out as expected.
Irina had gone to Forks to speak with the Cullens, to clear the air after what happened with the wolves and Laurent. However, she spotted Bella with Jake and an ‘immortal’ child and took off running without speaking to Bella or the Cullens.
Irina went to the Volturi to report the Cullens for their ‘crime.’ This set in motion events that would affect the Denali family in ways noone would have thought, not even Irina herself.
Y/N Denali stood in between her mum and dad on the Cullen’s side of the battlefield as they waited for the Volturi to arrive. A few minutes later everyone got a surprise when they arrived as noone was expecting to see Irina to be standing with the Volturi.
Demetri knew the moment they arrived at the field that his life was going to change…forever. He felt a tenor reaching out to him, calling to him; it was new but felt so familiar at the same time. A moment later the sweetest scent he had ever smelt hit him ‘Strawberry and Mint.’ His ruby red eyes roamed the crowd standing opposite him and found Y/C eyes, he then felt something ‘click’ inside him, ‘mate’ ran through his mind and he smiled at her.
Edward growled from across the field as he read Demetri’s thoughts and looked between Y/N and the Tracker and back again. Demetri growled back in response as he didn’t like Edward reading his mind but he disliked Edward looking at his mate even more.
Everyone noticed immediately that something wasn’t right and Aro held his hand out to Demetri and read his recent thoughts seeing that the Tracker had found his mate in the human girl standing between Eleazar and Carmen. “Eleazar it would seem that your daughter is mated to our dear Demetri” Aro said looking at ex-guard member. Collected gasps sounded around the field before Aro spoke again “Maybe your daughter should come over to her mate before we discuss the issue surrounding the child.”
Eleazar and Carmen knew they couldn’t refuse Aro, not without starting a fight. They both hugged Y/N, telling her everything will be alright before watching her walk across the field to Demetri. He walked towards her so he could meet her half-way and reached out to take her small hand in his larger one. He led her back to the Volturi’s side of the field and once there he held her to his side purring in her ear. The sound one of contentment now that he finally has his mate by his side.
After the confrontation Demetri took Y/N back to Castillo Volterra with him ready to spend forever with her. If only she knew just how protective, how possessive he was going to be of her, his human, his mate.
Y/N was made to welcome in the castle by everyone. Heidi, Chelsea, Corin and Jane all took her under their wings and even invited her out on their next night out. Demetri was pleased that his mate was getting on well the female vampires in the castle.
A few weeks after she arrived at the castle Demetri caught Y/N talking and laughing with a transitory guard and saw red. A growl escaped him before he ran at the guard “SHE’S MINE!” He roared before beheading the guard in front of her “What the hell Demetri? We were just…” He growled again, cutting her off and turned to face her. “You belong to me” Demetri told her as he looked into her eyes “I don’t belong to you or anyone else Demetri” She replied looking back at him, holding his gaze “That is where you are wrong darling” He took her jaw in his hand “You were mine the moment you were born. Fate saw to that” He pressed his lips to hers in a rough kiss, her breath catching in her throat. He smiled against her lips “See, I’m the only one who take your breath away” He pressed his lips to her neck and left a trail of open-mouthed kisses leading up towards her ear, kissing and gently sucking her skin there. A breathless moan of his name slipped past her lips and she felt him smile against her skin.
At the next guard training session Demetri ensured the lower and transitory guards knew that if they looked at or went near his mate he would rip them apart and burn the pieces.
Demetri had been away on a mission with Felix and Alec and arrived home the night the girls were due to go out. Demetri was looking forward to seeing Y/N after being apart from her for nearly two weeks. He made his way straight to his room knowing she was in there. “Y/N darling I’m home” He called out as he entered the room “Welcome home, I’ll be out in a sec” She replied and he took a seat on the sofa in front of the fireplace waiting for her.
“Where do you think you’re going dressed like that? Your body is for my eyes only” He asked standing up as she walked out of the closet dressed in a silver low cut dress that ended mid-thigh, paired with four-inch stilettos. “I’m going out with Heidi, Chelsea, Corin and Jane for girl’s night” Y/N replied as she placed her hands on his chest and pressed her lips to his cheek in a sweet kiss. “Dem, you know I love you and only you” She told him, hoping to reassure him of her feelings for him.
Heidi knocked on the door before he could make her change her outfit “Ready Y/N?” She asked “Yes ready when you are” Y/N replied and kissed Demetri again. He bit back a growl and turned his attention to Heidi “If anything happens to her, you’ll wish you never met me” His voice only loud enough for Heidi to hear and she shuddered knowing that it wasn’t a threat but a promise. “I promise she’ll be safe” Her reply shaky but equally as low.
Y/N returned home a few hours later a little tipsy “I told them to keep an eye on you” He growled “They did Demi. They stepped in when a few guys were hitting on me” She replied honestly and before she knew what was happening he had her pinned against the wall, growling at her “Maybe if I mark you, other people wouldn’t be such a nuisance” He buried his head into her neck, inhaling her scent then left a trail of kisses along her neck before letting his teeth graze over her pulse point. She cried out as she felt him bite down into her skin, marking her, claiming her as his. He swallowed a few mouthfuls of her blood moaning at the delicious taste of his mate’s blood coating his tongue as it slid easily down this throat. He wrapped an arm around her waist holding her flush against him and pulled away slightly from her neck letting his venom pool in his mouth. He leant back in, his teeth sinking back into his bite mark and released his venom into her system. He licked the wound closed and pressed a kiss there. “You’re mine forever now darling.” This was the last thing she heard before everything went black as her body burned from the inside out from his venom.

“Wanna Dance?” - Alice Cullen
Tumblr media
Request: heyaaa! can you make alice x fem reader imagine in which the reader is a new cullen family member and as the time goes realizes that she is in love with Alice and decides to tell her at edward's wedding night? that would be so cute, imagine they both in a pretty dress and such. 🥺 💞
After what feels like years, but truly was only weeks-- it was finally the night before Bella and Edward’s wedding. Alice recruited me to be her right-hand-man, as she was planning the entire thing. Living with the Cullens for the last year was truly an other worldly experience, but I had never expected one of us to marry a human. Mostly because almost all of us already had found our mates.
Almost.
Thankfully, Carlisle and Esme took me in about a year ago as I was a stray newborn-- unsure of my creator, lost in the world. I had no idea what I had become. Jasper was an incredible help in getting through my newborn stage-- as was Alice.
They arrived at the Cullens’ home decades ago, Alice knowing what was in store for them. She knew Jasper would find his mate here eventually, so it was up to her to bring him there. Eventually, he did find his mate, Tanya. Then it left her and Edward in search of a mate. Finally, Edward met Bella, leaving just Alice to be the only one left.
I immediately felt so drawn to Alice, knowing deep down that she was probably my mate-- however she showed no interest other than being my friend. I always thought she was my mate, but if she were-- wouldn’t it be mutual? Wouldn’t we be soul mates? I must be misreading what I’m feeling, that or I am just really cursed.
Could I be cursed?
I sit on the porch outside wondering this to myself before I hear the soft footsteps of the gorgeous vampire in question. Her scent driving me to a place of pure ecstasy.
“So, are you excited for tomorrow?” She cheerfully asks me.
“Yeah, for sure. We’re going to do her makeup right, Rose has got her hair?” I inquire, trying to keep a conversation going, trying not to wallow.
“Yes. I can’t wait. I love weddings.” She giggles.
And for one second, our eyes met. I felt everything around me stop, just like usual.
And in that moment, I knew for sure Alice was always going to be everything I would ever need. I just wish she felt the same.
“Yeah, me too. Though I’ve only been to like two, I think.” I chuckle, trying to lighten the mood.
“Oh yes, I forget how young you are sometimes.” She laughs lowly.
“Yeah, just me. Only a fresh twenty. Haven’t surpassed decades yet.” I chime in.
She smiles at me before I look off into the treeline. The atmosphere between us is dead quiet, despite an owl we hear in the distance. Even though it is quiet, I feel at peace knowing Alice is only a mere few feet from me.
We sit in silence for a few moments before Esme calls me inside.
“(Y/N), if you don’t mind, would you like to accompany me on a walk?” She offers.
Esme had become like a second mother to me. I appreciate everything her and Carlisle have done for me. She was always my shoulder to cry on, when I first turned and now-- knowing my predicament and supporting me the best she could.
I always told her to never tell me anything on Alice’s end, as I couldn’t possibly handle to hear it. Anything Alice felt, or did not feel, I wanted to hear from Alice. Not Esme, Edward, Carlisle, or anyone else. I appreciated the secrecy the three provided me. Jasper definitely felt my feelings, but always kept it to himself, never mentioning it once. I thank him for that more often than I would like to admit.
Though her and I would go hunting or on little trips together quite often, I knew she was here to save me from this situation. She knew how I felt in times like these, the awkward silence.
“Of course.” I look up at her and nod.
“I’ll see you in the morning.” Alice says before I leave.
“Bright and early.” I smile at her.
I walk off into the treeline following a smiling Esme. We sped off into the night until we get to my favorite clearing, just before hitting Canada.
“So, how are you?” She asks me.
“I’m okay, I just don’t understand anything anymore. Sometimes I think she really is my mate, other times I think that if she were I wouldn’t be sitting in this situation. Unless I’m cursed and my mate doesn’t feel the same.” I look at her with sad eyes.
“Oh honey, you aren’t cursed.” She hugs me, pulling me in tight.
“It feels like it.” I tell her honestly.
“I know, but things will make sense soon. I know it’s hard right now. You’re going through so much right now. And with the wedding I know you’ll have a hard time because all of the people there. I know you’ll do great. We all do. But don’t let this hurt you too much, you’re gonna have fun tomorrow. You’ll have fun with all of us, especially Alice.” She smiled and winked at me.
“Thank you Esme. I’m really nervous about tomorrow. For Alice reasons, and people reasons. But I think I’ve got the vampire thing under control, it’s just the Alice thing that gets me out of it.” I look at her, hope leaving my eyes by the second.
“Oh honey, don’t mope. I hate to see you so sad. You’re going to be so happy soon, I just know it. You just have to let yourself, stop being so scared!” She encourages me.
“I’ll try, Esme. Thank you.” I look at her loving eyes before giving her another tight hug.
“Now, let’s go have some fun before tomorrow. I think I smell a bear.” She wiggles her eyebrows.
“Emmett would be so proud.” I giggle.
We take off into the night, running around and killing time. Filling my hunger in hopes that I feel no temptation at tomorrow’s big event.
THE WEDDING
As I walked into the room where Bella was getting ready with Alice and Rosalie, I felt butterflies in my stomach. I feared to see Alice, being so hypersensitive in this moment.
I look over at Bella first, as she was the bride, but if I were to be honest all I could think about was Alice. Bella looked absolutely stunning, but it was time for Alice and I to do her makeup.
“What did I say about beauty sleep?” Alice scolds Bella, referencing the undereye bags on the tired girl’s face, earning a chuckle from everyone.
“You look beautiful Bella, don’t listen to that.” I tell her.
Alice looks up at me, smiling a little more than usual. She probably was just extra excited for the wedding we had spent an unspeakable amount of hours planning. Her beauty only accentuated in her purple dress and makeup-- I didn’t think it was possible for someone to look this good.
“Thank you, (Y/N).” Bella smiles at me.
We begin to do her makeup, Rosalie does her hair, and then help her with her dress. Eventually her parents come knocking to see their daughter in her wedding dress, before the big day officially begins.
We excuse ourselves and leave them to it, heading outside to greet everyone.
I talk to the Denali cousins, make my rounds, and even say hi to Seth and Billy. Despite some of the tensions the two families have had, I personally love the pack; they were amazing. I spent a lot of time with Emmett and Rosalie too, given that Alice was running around making sure everything went according to plan.
“So, how long are you going to torture yourself for?” Rosalie asks me with a slight grimace.
“What? What do you mean?” I ask confused.
“Well, I mean you pining over Alice is fun and all, but how long can you torture yourself for?” Emmett chimes in, laughing.
“Wait, what?” I pretend to not know what they’re referring to; secretly worrying about them knowing.
“Well, you spend every moment together. You seem like a lost puppy when she’s not around. Everything about you gives off a lovesick puppy.” Rosalie giggles.
“Is it that bad?” I ask, wincing at the thought of it being as obvious as they’re making it seem.
“Oh, it’s worse.” Emmett laughs.
“No, but really. I think it’s time you finally said something. I can’t stand looking at this anymore.” Rosalie shoves her glass of champagne near mine, encouraging me to do something.
“Do you think I really should?” I ask nervously.
“Please. If you don’t, I will; and believe me you don’t want that.” Emmett teased.
He was right, I don’t want that. I can’t even imagine that nightmare. I would have to do something myself.
Soon after, it was finally time for the ceremony. It was absolutely beautiful to stand beside my family, watching my brother and his new bride tie the knot. If I could cry, I would.
It was time for dancing and everyone had a group or partner. I sat at the table, realizing how lonely it made me feel. Up until I saw Alice’s hand reaching for mine to grab a hold of.
“Wanna dance?” She asked me, smiling as beautiful as always.
“Of course.” I grab her hand and she pulls me onto the dance floor.
We start dancing to the music, it felt so right to be so close to her.
“Alice, I have to be honest.” I tell her, I’m sure if I could feel nauseous, my whole world would be spinning.
“Please do.” She smiles.
“I love you. I love you, like a lot.” I manage to spit out.
What happened next almost knocked me on my ass. She grabbed both sides of my face and kissed me. Suddenly, we weren’t dancing anymore, it was like nobody else existed in this moment.
“I love you, too. I was waiting for you to finally say something about it, (Y/N).” She giggles.
“What? You knew?” I ask shocked, but still smiling ear to ear at her words.
“(Y/N), you remember I see the future right?” She laughs.
“Yeah, I just figured you didn’t know because you never said anything!”
“Well, I wanted you to decide your future, (Y/N). I didn’t want to tell you your future, I needed to know you wanted it for you.” She smiles wide, looking deep into my eyes.
“Alice, I wish I knew earlier. I love you so much.” I say before I pull her into another kiss.
“We have a lot of time to make up for.” She teases.
I look over and see Esme smiling at me like the happy mother she is. I smile right back, to which she gives me a nice thumbs up in return.
I could get used to kissing Alice, thank goodness I have eternity to do it.

When his Blood Singer Moves to Town

Summary: Y/N has been friends with the Cullen’s since she moved to town, and has had less than platonic feelings for Edward for just as long. When Bella moves to town and Y/N finds out that she’s Edward’s blood singer, she worries she’s at risk of losing her best friend and the person she’s in love with. But after a trip to Alaska, Edward reassures her that will never happen.
As cliche as it sounded, I’d had a terrible feeling in my gut when I’d woken up this morning. I didn’t know why, but my instincts were screaming at me to pull the covers over my head and go back to sleep. But alas, I didn’t listen, figuring it was just Monday blues. So I’d gotten dressed, crammed a cereal bar down my throat and waited for my best friend to pick me up like he did every morning. When he arrived, my mood lifted a little, as it always did whenever I was around him, but the feeling still lingered.
‘What’s the matter, honey?’ Edward asked as I fastened my seatbelt after greeting Emmett and Rose who were sat in the back seats.
‘I don’t know.’ I admitted, knowing it would be pointless to lie to someone who could literally read my mind, ‘I’ve just had a really bad feeling of dread since I woke up this morning.’
‘Don’t worry, I’m sure it’s nothing.’ Edward said, giving me a comforting smile that made my heart skip a beat in my chest.
‘He’s right. This is Forks, what’s the worst that could happen?’ Rose teased, trying to lift the somber mood that had settled over the car.
‘You’re right.’ I agreed, a small but genuine smile settling over my face. It was probably nothing.
//
I was in French first period with Jasper, Alice and Edward when the news reached us. A new girl had started today, Isabella Swan, though according to Ed, she’d been correcting everyone so far and asking them to call her Bella. I’d shrugged, not really that interested, but I’d felt a little sympathy for the girl starting half way through junior year in a small town— she’d be the talk of the school for the rest of the week at least. I didn’t envy her for that, but seeing as she was apparently Chief Swan’s daughter, I assumed she knew what she was getting into when she agreed to move here.
After that, Edward had distracted me with questions about the book— A Tale of Two Cities—he’d suggested I read. The rest of the lesson was spent with us discussing the ins and outs, the best parts and the worst parts in French. The rest of the morning flew by, and none of us had a period with the new girl, so when it came to lunch a few of the Cullens were curious about the new girl, while I had maintained my uninterested stance. We all joined the lunch line, I grabbed myself a fruit salad and a bottle of water, still not very hungry and took my usual seat in between Emmett and Edward at our table.
‘So, what does the new girl think of the school’s freaks?’ Emmett asked, his dimple appearing in his cheek as he grinned, ‘well freaks and Y/N.’ He winked at me and chuckled when I rolled my eyes at him.
Edward looked over to Bella at Emmett’s question, and for the first time today I look over too. I noticed the way she ducked her head and hid behind her long, brown curly hair as soon as Ed had looked over. I saw the girl next to her, Jessica Stanley, do the same thing and I saw the latter’s shoulders shaking, indicating that she was giggling. She was incredibly beautiful, but I could tell from her shy stature and her unwillingness to look back over here in case Ed was still looking at her, she wasn’t aware of it. I looked away when I felt Edward jerk so unexpectedly that the table vibrated a little.
‘I can’t read her thoughts.’ He sighed, frustration clear in his onyx eyes.
‘How bizarre.’ I mused, putting a piece of watermelon in my mouth and chewing.
‘Ooo finally, someone’s mind you can’t snoop on,’ Emmett’s voice was practically dripping with mirth.
‘I’ll bet the curiosity is killing you.’ Jasper teased, his southern drawl wrapping around his words and a rare smile appearing on his face.
I assumed he could feel Ed’s frustration as well as any other emotions he wasn’t showing on his expression or through body language. And for the first time since that morning, the dread returned to my gut with such ferocity that it took my breath away. My eyes moved between Bella and Edward, the former shy but clearly interested, and the latter gleaming with curiosity and whatever other emotions Jasper had picked up on to implement his teasing. This is what my body had been warning me about— I was going to lose my best friend to the new girl.
//
The day had taken another abrupt turn when Edward had stormed out of Biology with a look of murder on his face. We usually met at his car after sixth period because we had a free after, so we just went home earlier. I’d hastily climbed in when he’d unlocked the Volvo and had remained silent as he’d driven faster than he normally did, muttering under his breath too low for me to hear. I’d finally spoken up when we reached the hospital, needing to know what was bothering him so much.
‘Ed, what’s going on?’ I asked, my voice tentative.
‘Bella, she’s my blood singer.’ He managed to get out between gritted teeth.
I felt my heart both sink and squeeze in sympathy for his plight. It sunk because I remembered the other half of that legend— it was said that if a humans blood sung for a vampire, that human was the true mate of said vampire. If that was the case then my earlier suspicions were right— I was going to lose Edward to Bella and the stab of pain in my chest almost took my breath away, but I pushed it aside. This wasn’t about me, this was about him.
‘Is there anything I can do?’ I reached out, my hand enveloping his right, where it rested on the steering wheel. When my hand came into contact with his, he flipped his palm up and held my hand in a gentle but firm hold.
‘I need to get away, my instincts want me to go after her, to kill her and I don’t know how long I’ll be able to resist while I’m so thirsty.’ He explained, his thumb moving back and forth over the back of the hand he was holding and I felt my lips lift into a smile when I realised he was comforting me when it was supposed to be the other way around.
‘I’ll come with you.’ It wasn’t like I had any parents to dictate my actions— they died a year ago, but I’d emancipated myself at fifteen, they were lovely people and I had loved them, but they just weren’t ready to be parents.
Both of them worked full time jobs that took them away from home weeks at a time— the longest I’d gone without seeing them had been two months. I’d gotten tired of being raised by a nanny seeing as she practically just left me to my own devices as soon as I was old enough and did her own thing when she was supposed to be looking after me. So I’d looked into emancipation and after talking to my parents about it on one of the rare days they were home before they jetted off again, they’d both agreed without much resistance. I assumed me saying I’d still like to live with them until I could afford my own place had swayed them, as it meant that not much would change—I’d still be at home, I’d just have the ability to make my own decisions without parental permission. When they’d died in a freak car accident a few years ago, I’d inherited everything seeing as I was their only living family and I was the only one listed on the will. After it happened I decided to move to Forks, remembering the few times my parents had bought me here when I was a child. I’d needed a fresh start where no one knew me as the kid who became rich after her parents died, and this had seemed like the perfect place. I’d actually arrived the same time as the Cullens and it had been then that our friendship had been born and it’d only flourished from there.
‘You don’t have to do that.’ He insisted, but his grip didn’t waver, and his dark eyes were almost pleading for me to disagree with him.
‘Ed, I love you and if you need me, I’m going to be there for you so don’t bother arguing with me.’ I gave him a firm look and when he finally smiled I sent him a wink.
His dark eyes softened with an emotion I couldn’t identify, and he placed a chaste kiss on the back of my hand before asking me to wait in the car while he spoke to his father. I took the time to compose myself and by the time he returned we were off to Alaska to see his extended family. We’d stopped to fill his tank after about an hour, and he’d also grabbed me some food to eat on the rest of the drive. It was the longest I’d ever been in a car, minus bathroom breaks and stopping just so I could stretch out my legs, but after two days and ten hours we made it.
I felt like I needed my whole body cracked by a chiropractor, but we were here, and honestly it was beautiful! The Denali Coven’s home was similar to the Cullen’s in the sense that it was secluded and practically in the middle of nowhere— you wouldn’t know where to find it unless you knew what you were looking for. It was a mansion surrounded by snow and the early evening light was a mixture of pink and blue, it took my breath away. We never got sunsets like this in Forks, and I’d almost forgotten how beautiful it could be.
‘Wow, it’s beautiful here.’ I whispered, unwilling to disrupt the scenery around me by being too loud.
‘It is.’ Edward mirrored my volume, and I was so enamoured by the effortless beauty around me that I didn’t notice the bronze haired vampire was staring at me.
After a while, the cold became too much to ignore and Edward led me inside the house, introducing me to the family I’d heard of but never met in person. They were all of course extremely beautiful and the way Tanya’s eyes lingered on the bronze haired vampire next to me made that stabbing feeling return, but I pushed it down. Edward was my friend, I had no right to be jealous of the female attention he received, I knew that but it didn’t stop the stab of pain in my heart. I chatted with Kate and Garrett while the others and Edward went hunting, they were only gone an hour but by the time they returned I was ready to drop. I’d only managed to snag four hours sleep in the past two days as a car wasn’t the comfiest place to lay your head.
My vampire friend of course knew immediately and politely excused us both to lead me to one of the only rooms in the entire house that actually had a bed. At that point he went to leave me to have my human moments, but at the last second my body acted without his consent and grabbed his wrist. As soon as my hand closed around his wrist he paused without hesitation, his now golden eyes observing me carefully— I knew he was aware of what I was going to say, but he always waited me to voice it in case I changed my mind.
‘Will you stay with me, until I fall asleep?’ I asked, knowing that if he didn’t I probably wouldn't get any sleep, despite my current state of exhaustion. I had an issue falling asleep in new places that lacked the familiarity of my own bed, at the moment Ed was the closest to comfort I had at the moment; he made me feel safe and calm.
‘Of course I will,’ he answered, his eyes softening to molten, plonking himself onto the twin bed while I got myself ready to sleep.
I changed in the bathroom, brushed my teeth, washed my face and applied night cream before joining Edward in the bedroom again. He remained on top of the covers, but he’d shifted so that he wasn’t inhibiting any movement for me. I climbed underneath the thick duvet and snuggled into Ed’s side, happy that his natural coolness balanced out the warmth from the covers and the heat Kate had put on throughout the house to keep me from freezing to death. I inhaled his sweet scent and felt myself melt into him when is arm wound around my shoulders and allowed me to snuggle closer to him. I fell into unconsciousness quickly after that, but just before I completely surrendered to the darkness, I thought I felt Edward’s lips kissing my hair, but I was too far gone to fully process it or respond.
//
‘I need to talk to you.’ Edward said as we were a day into our drive back to Forks.
He felt much better now, and was determined not to let a stranger rule his life and the legacy his coven represented. He didn’t want to let Carlisle down and was prepared to simply not breathe in the single period he shared with Bella if that was what it took for his family to continue living in Forks until they were ready to move on again. Honestly, he’d told me that after the first night we’d spent there, I’d barely opened my eyes before he told me the conclusion he’d come to over his blood singer moving to Forks. It took me longer to process his words than it should have, because it was morning but mostly due to the fact that I’d woken up exactly where I’d fallen asleep, which meant he hadn’t left me once throughout the night and that revelation had done funny things to my heart and my ability to focus. Once I had, I’d been relieved, a part of me had been worried he would go as far to relocate to Alaska until Bella left Forks.
‘About what?’ I wondered, putting the bottle of water I’d taken a few gulps of back into the cup holder.
‘I’m not interested in Bella in any romantic way, and I plan to stay as far away from her as possible. While there have been some instances over the centuries of a vampires blood singer also being his true mate, that’s very rare. It wasn’t the case for Emmett, and it’s not the case for me either.’ I could barely hear his soft voice over the sound of my heart thundering in my chest, ‘you’re my true mate, Y/N. I’ve known since I first saw you, which is why we all became so close to you so fast, my family and I usually shy away from making contact with humans but I had to know you. I was certain I’d scare you off when you found out that we were vampires, and when it didn’t I was sure you’d leave when you found out about how much I love you. I tried to cheat and figure out how you’d react to the news by focusing on your thoughts, but you never really lingered on my family and I when you’re around us. So, because I’m a coward I kept my knowledge to myself, content with having you in my life even if it meant I couldn’t truly be with you how I wanted to be. But after hearing your thoughts about losing me when you learned about Bella, and how you felt unworthy of me when you met Tanya, well I just couldn’t bear to keep this to myself when I knew that you were hurting because of it.’
I was silent for a long moment after his speech, because well it was a lot to process, and a part of me couldn’t believe it even though I’d just heard it with my own two ears. But when I saw the look in Ed’s eyes, the soft look that made his orbs look like honey, I was able to recognise the emotion that had always evaded me when I’d tired to put a finger on it— it was love.
‘I love you too, Edward.’ My voice was so soft that I could barely hear it, but of course he had no problem and a grin took over his face, lighting his expression so brilliantly that my breath caught at the sight of his effortless beauty.
After that somewhat emotional conversation, Edward had taken his hand in mine, and we spent the rest of the drive exchanging occasional anecdotes. But for the most part we remained in a comfortable silence and relaxed in the bubble of love and contentment that settled around us.
//
Third person POV
When Bella entered the cafeteria that particularly miserable Monday morning, she’d looked over to the Cullen’s table out of habit, only to freeze when she saw that there six people sat around the table, not the usual four she’d grown accustomed to seeing. After she managed to pull herself out of her reverie, she grabbed a bottle of lemonade and hurried to the table she sat at with Mike, Jessica, Angela, Eric and others whose names she hadn’t quite been able to remember. The curly-haired brunette kept her head down for ten minutes, tentatively sipping her lemonade and avoiding conversation as she felt daggers piercing into the side of her head. It was another five minutes before she decided enough was enough; she wasn’t going to let herself feel alienated by a boy who didn’t even know her from Adam. So she turned her head, looking up at the table from underneath her lashes and the sight that greeted her made her fell relaxed and disappointed all at once. None of them were looking in her direction, so she lifted her head a little more so she was able to observe the family with more ease. Emmett and Rosalie were wrapped up in each other, the curly haired blonde vampire grinning at his love as she kissed his cheek and murmured something that made the brawny boy throw his head back and release his signature booming laughter. Jasper and Alice were sat side by side, the blonde’s hand holding Alice’s underneath the table, both content to sit in silence and observe those around them. Edward and a girl whose name she’d learned was Y/N, they were... close in a way Bella couldn’t quite describe. She didn’t know what had changed between now and last week, but there had obviously been a shift in their relationship. The bronze haired boy had his arm wrapped around Y/N’s shoulders, and she was looking up at Edward with a look of pure adoration and love in her eyes, but what was more intense was that he was returning it with equal fervour. Throughout the hour, their eyes never left one another, and they were always touching in some way, whether it was Y/N holding Edward’s free hand and playing with his fingers as they quietly spoke to one another, or whether it was the bronze haired boy brushing Y/N’s hair behind her ear and letting his hand linger to caress the side of her face— they never once shifted so they weren’t touching. It was as if they were in their own little bubble, impenetrable to even the other family members sitting around the table with them, and Bella felt her heart ache at the sight. She longed for someone to look at her the way Edward was looking at Y/N. If she were being completely honest with herself, she had found herself interested in the boy, despite his horrid attitude towards her last week, but obviously that was in vein; he was in love with Y/N, that much was obvious.
With a sigh, Bella returned her attention to her table mates around her, making an effort to engage in their conversation and forget about the mysterious family sat to the right of her. Jessica had been right— there was no point in wasting any time there.
A/N: So I had this idea pop into my head last night, and to be honest I’m not completely sure how I feel about it?? But I’ve purged it from my mind now and it’s out there. I hope you liked it!!

Summer in Alaska made the state break out into lush beauty, illuminated by a sun that is finally strong enough to break through the bog of clouds and snow. Wild flowers curled against the trunks of trees; tall grass sways gently against the breeze that rolls through. Beautiful, a land so full of colorful life and vibrancy.
This time around though, Edward pays no attention to such trivial things as nature. He's on a mission. Having driven for three straight days to make it to the Denali coven territory, Edward kept his mind focused on the task at hand. Running over what he planned to say to them, Edward is still lost in his thoughts by the time his car turns into the long driveway that led up to their mountainside home made of dark wood, stone and large panel windows. Already in one window he spied a blonde head that quickly disappeared.
Parking in front of their stone garage, the front door opens and Carmen smiles at him. "It's good to see you, Ed." Her dark hair separated her from the three vampire ladies who crowded behind her. The only male in the coven, Carmen’s mate Eleazor has his arms crossed with a patient grin on his face. Really, it was Eleazor who might offer the Cullens the biggest help if the Volturi brought a fight to them. Such a long time ago, Eleazor had been an actual member of the Volturi guard. He had the best insight of what Aro, Caius and Marcus’ mind.
When Bella first moved to Forks, confused with how he felt for her, Edward went to the Denali Coven to clear his mind. Once again he was seeking some sort of support from them. A bit embarrassing he had to admit.
They parted to let him inside. Tanya, he noticed, was attempting to keep a polite distance but her gold eyes couldn’t hide the emotions she was feelings. Her thoughts conveyed those of longing. Difficult to hold her gaze for much longer, Edward turned back to Carmen and the others. Their smiles didn’t dim.
Kate smiled patting the cushion of their sofa, indicating for Edward to sit down. “It’s good to see that you’re alive.”
Carmen winced a bit, the reminder of how they had refused to help the Cullens with Victoria. In the end they backed up Irina whose lover Laurent, former acquaintance of Victoria’s, was killed by the wolf pack.
Everyone felt the heavy cape of dread that filled the living room. Would they refuse him if he were to mention that any fight the Cullens had, the wolves would fight alongside them? The Treaty was revised, allowing more freedom between the Cullen-La Push border.
“It was an easy fight with the wolves on our side.” Edward admitted. His mind brought up an image of (y/n) in her wolf form. Her jaws snapping and ripping into various newborns. He had felt nearly unstoppable as (y/n) protected his back. “But there arises another potential issue.”
His family had discussed for hours on the potential moves of the Denali clan, asked Alice what she could see in the near future. Many times her visions didn’t come on demand. Many agreed that they were likely to side with Irina again and attempt to stay out of the conflict. it didn’t help that it involved the Volturi, the very force that had executed Sasha and the vampire child Vasili. They wanted to keep a good distance away from anything that had to do with the vampire council.
Edward still held out hope though. Hope that they would choose to do the right thing. Bella didn’t want to be a vampire anymore, she would remain a human who was unable to protect themselves from the supernatural forces that plagued her life now thanks to Edward. Aro would not be happy about that. When they find out, they will most likely ask for Bella’s head to be delivered to them. Humans were absolutely not allowed to know the existence of such creatures like them and potentially punish the Cullens. Neither of the vampire trio that lead the council gave second chances.
“Now there’s no guarantee if the Volturi will find out. Knowing them though. . . It’s possible they might discover it sooner rather than later. We just want to cover our bases and be prepared.”
“What about the wolves?”
Carmen closed her eyes with a scowl as everyone turned to look at irina who sat across from him. Arms crossed against her chest and Amber honey eyes holding Edward down. Despite her pale, strawberry blonde hair, her eyelashes were dark. They accentuated the paleness of her skin.
He figured she would mention the large furry elephants in the room. His long fingers weave together as he sighed. “They are our allies now. They will be aiding us as well. But even they might not be enough if the Volturi bring the bulk of their army.”
“Let the Volturi have her.” irina’s thoughts slammed into Edward’s mind. The words bit, finding their target easily.
Sensing Irina’s foul mood that would soon take over the whole room, Kate puts a hand on her shoulder and steered her toward the kitchen. They spoke in near whisper voices but Edward could hear their conversation through their thoughts. Consoling, anger, so much anger, Kate trying too smother it before it truly ignited Irina to say something she couldn’t take back.
They were enough to make Edward feel like he was on a lost cause. He glanced at Tanya to gauge what she was feeling.
“Give her some time. You know how much she liked Laurant. Despite what he may have done.” Tanya mentally replied to his imploring eyes.
He did understand how Irina was feeling. The same emotion was probably running through her like it did Edward when James abducted Bella. Hunted her for sport. It’s what drove Victoria to commit the atrocities she did.
To love someone so much was a terrifying thing that led to unimaginable consequences.
“You know we want to help you, Ed.” Carmen’s tone was soft.
Eleazor nodded. “The Volturi have become nothing but thugs. Their egos are bloated after so many centuries in power. I wouldn’t mind taking them down a few notches.” He rubbed his chin in thought. “Alice. . . ?”
He shook his head. “If the wolves are part of the equation, then she’ll be unable to see anything. It gives her a migraine and disables her for a good time.”
A moment passes before Carmen suggests “Eleazor, don’t you still have a few contacts in the Volturi? Disgruntled employees like you were?”
Her mate pressed his lips into a firm line that held no promises. “I do. But if Aro catches them, you know what he’ll do. Then we’ll all be in big trouble.”
“What about the Romanian coven?” Tanya piped in. “they still haven’t forgiven the Volturi for what they did to their coven.”
Carmen’s face lights up and even Eleazor appeared to consider it. “We could try getting into contact with them. . .”
That was the crumb of hope Edward required to not lose himself completely to despair. If the whole of the Denali coven couldn’t agree to help, then the Romanians would be another good start. True that the Romanian coven only had two actual members, the lone survivors of the Volturi’s wrath. They held no special abilities like Edward and Eleazor did, but they had many connections in the vampire world. How easy it was to forget that at one point in history, the Romanian coven had been the strongest one in the known worlds.
Finally, Irina and Kate return. irina’s face still held a scowl when she looked over at Edward, but most of her steam had evaporated. Her face though. . . It was sad and tired. “Do you swear that Bella will no longer become a vampire? That she will be out of our lives and be none of our concerns after this?”
Because in the end, Edward couldn't deny that Bella had been the trigger to Laurant's death. She had been confronted by the rogue vampire on Quileute territory and thus the wolves took it upon themselves to protect her and exterminate the threat of the red eyed devil.
Stiffly, Edward inclined his head to show that he agreed. “Bella. . . She is determined on her stance now. Both her and her father want all of us to stay away from her now.”
“After all the chaos this girl has caused. . .” Irina’s mind bared its fangs in a spitting hiss. “So easily she could just rid herself of the pain she has caused.”
If his skin were capable of flushing with rage, his face would have been red. Now he only felt the white hot anger flare in his stomach.
Irina didn’t speak anymore after that, gaze finally dropping to her hands as Kate sat down on the couch alongside Tanya. All three of Sasha’s girls could appear to be biologically related. Edward knew their history and knew that despite Tanya being Sasha’s biological great-niece, Kate and Irina had no blood relation.
Carmen’s shoulders slowly relaxed at the sight of a despondent but quiet Irina. At the moment, it was better compared to her hostility. She did want to mention her own concern about the wolves. “Are you sure about their treaty? From what you told us it does nothing to protect our kind.”
“I can talk to them. I promise.” And if the rest of the pack was wary at first, then. . . Then he could count on (y/n) to slap some sense into them. Be the voice of reason. They deemed her judgement trustworthy.
He had half the mind to tell them about her. The wolf girl who had imprinted on him. Whatever god of fate pairing them up in some twisted joke.
No, it was too soon for that. First he needed to get them to agree to be on their side of the battle when it came around. Once a level of trust was acquired, then he could tell them. Maybe when the Denali coven met the wolves, they would change their mind about them. Maybe things could mend with Irina.
“Are you hungry?” Eleazor asked. “We have some freshly harvested caribou blood. Quite rich.”
Now that he mentioned it,Edward couldn’t remember the last time he had consumed blood. The fatigue in his body now made itself present. He felt sluggish and dare he admit even tired. Tired was a feeling that vampires experienced often. Not unless they were starved of any kind of nutrients.
Caribou blood was sounding fantastic.
Carmen and Eleazor showed him into the garage where they stored their stock. Explaining how they had just hunted the night before. Carmen leaned against the stainless steel fridge, turning her face away to give him a bit of privacy. Though she possessed no supernatural gift like Edward and Alice, she was an expert in reading body language and expressions hidden in the eyes. She had to be one of the most empathetic vampires Edward had ever met. Her naturally kind and strong heart persevered the vampire venom.
Taking a moment to make sure they weren’t followed, Eleazor whispered “There’s something you’re keeping away from the others. . . Isn’t there?”
It felt good to tell them about (y/n). Tell someone and not worry about their critics and judgement like his family must have felt. Only Alice and Jasper, Edward was sure, were compassionate toward him about it and held no ounce of disgust. As wonderful as Carlisle and Esme normally were, their senses and thoughts cringed at the idea of Edward being with a werewolf. Something with flesh and pumping blood yet could be immortal if they so chose.
The pair patiently listened to him, Carmen finally smiling when he was finished. “Your taste in mates are certainly. . . Unconventional.” She was smiling, eyes crinkling with mischief. Enough to make Edward actually laugh.
First a human, now a wolf. What else was this life of his going to throw at him?
“I would very much like to meet them. Both of them.” Carmen said.
“Me too.” Her mate was smiling softly.
Edward decided to grasp whatever chance he got. “Would the two of you like to come back with me to Forks? I can give you until tomorrow to think it over-”
“We would love to go to Forks with you, Edward.” Carmen’s smile beamed with excitement. Due to the old treaty with the wolves, the Denali coven had never had the opportunity to visit the Cullens. This would be a first for them. From how Esme lovingly described the home she fixed up herself, they knew how gorgeous the Cullen home must her in real life.
They would scope out the wolves themselves and relay what they learn to Tanya, Irina and Kate. The trio trusted the words of Carmen and Eleazor over Edward’s. They had been living together for hundreds of years.
“Give us tonight to tell the others. We’ll need to reassure them that we will be safe” Eleazor informed Edward. They would be reluctant to see Eleazor and Carmen off, but the two could handle themselves. Eleazor’s ability might not be of the combative nature, but he had brute strength as well. His fighting skills were known in the Volturi as well.
Agreeing that the three of them would leave tomorrow, the next walked Edward back to the house and to a guest room they had upstairs for him to relax or make whatever phone calls necessary until morning came.
Alone in the room, Edward put a barrier in his mind to block out the sometimes intrusive thoughts of others. Holding his phone up, Edward had the urge to talk to Bella. Of course he wouldn’t. He would keep to his promise this time of staying away from her. He would deal with the damages. Edward just wanted her to live out the rest of her life knowing nothing but happiness if that is what she so chooses.
Tossing it onto the nightstand, it was best that he avoid his phone for a while. He also wanted to call (y/n). Well, needed to call her to give her the heads up that two new vampires would be entering their territory. That they wanted to meet her first. He hadn’t spoken to her since the day in the woods. The same day he had stopped communication with Bella.
With so much time on his hands, a knot of worry twisted in his gut. Would Irina be bitter enough to turn to the Volturi and rat him out? Not just him but the wolves and Bella as well? It would be her perfect act of revenge. Those who had allowed harm to be dealt to a man she had a budding romance with would feel the death claws of the Volturi.
The timid presence of Tanya entered his conscious. Edward gets up to open the door. He was apprehensive, looking at her and replaying the times she had flirted and shot him longing gazes. There was nothing wrong with her looks and personality. Edward could admit how pleasing she was to the eye. She was not who his heart yearned for. Never. His life would be easier if he had. A mate that was already like him, who understood what it was like to live far longer than any human should. The horrors they had experienced in their lifetime was enough for them to bond over.
“You’re leaving so soon?” Her striking strawberry blonde hair falls to her shoulders, nearly blending into the soft, cream wool sweater she wore.
“You’re welcome to come with us too, but yes. I just want to be prepared for whatever may come. The sooner the better.” Edward doesn’t move to let her inside the room he temporarily resided in. When the two of them were alone there was a heaviness in the air. Her evident wanting of him. A thick cloud just seemed to fill in whatever room the just so happened to be trapped in.
Not used to be turned down, Tanya reigns herself in despite wanting to try and charm her way in. New sense of seriousness actually made Edward relax. A serious Tanya he could handle. “You will make sure they aren’t harmed. Right?”
“Of course.”
Tanya sighed. “Look, Kate and I want to help. We really do. But we can’t unless Irina supports it too.”
“I understand. Hey, you don’t think she’ll say anything to the Volturi. I know she bares the most resentment toward them. I’m just worried she’ll do something like that.”
”Don’t worry. We won’t let that happen. Despite what they are, the wolves have proven to be your greatest allies. Far more than we have been. But do you really want to start a fight with the Volturi? You’ll need more than us to really make a stance. If you do this, they’ll always have a grudge against your family and Ms. Swan.”
No he didn’t want to start any fights with the largest vampire coven in the world. Didn’t want to antagonize them so they unleash the swarm of their power. Any kind of disobedience displayed toward the Volturi was considered suicide.
Edward wouldn’t let them though. Even if he admitted to himself that the idea of fighting such a strong coven made him a bit nervous. “Than I’ll scour the world for others who are willing to stand up to them.”

An Unexpected Outcome (Demetri Volturi x Reader One-Shot)
Summary: The one thing Demetri did not expect at the trial of a possible immortal child was for his mate to clumsily stumble and stutter her way into his life.
Word count: 2,849
Warnings: Swearing, angst but ends in fluff. Sweet, sweet fluff.
Tumblr media
For all intents and purposes, Demetri considered himself to be content in his current position with the Volturi. He was the best tracker in the world after a full century of honing his abilities. He had life-long friends in the forms of Felix and Heidi, a modest amount of wealth secured under his belt... Yes, overall, Demetri would say that he was perfectly content with how his life was.
Except for one thing; he did not have a mate to share his life with.
Over the years, the vampire had seen many relationships form and weave together both within the ranks fo the Volturi and outside. The precious, unbreakable bond between two beings was something that he yearned for, but after two centuries, his hopes waned. It nagged at his mind in the quiet moments. Whenever he shared a night with someone who’s name he cared not to remember. Whenever he would be walking down the halls of the Volturi’s residence and would out of the corner of his eye, see Marcus staring at a painting of his late beloved with a sad fondness. And even now though fleeting, as he surveyed the faces of the vampires gathered today to defend themselves, standing side-by-side their beloved mates.
Face calm and collected, he showed no sign of emotion as he observed the trial before him. The Cullens had gone ahead and meddled with the carefully-placed rules of their kind and played God by creating an immortal child, the mind-reader and his mate being at the forefront of the drama. As per usual.
The thing that made him finally quirk and eyebrow a the situation and finally show some interest was when the immortal child herself came forward. Demetri could hear her strange little heart fluttering away from where he stood.
The accuser, Irina, was now in some deep trouble. He moved forward and grappled the ill-informed vampire, pushing her to her knees before Caius and Felix.
The screams of her coven mates as she burned etched into his memory. Tanya and Kate charged forward, grief and fury shown in equal measure on their faces. A nomad tackled Kate, whereas another unknown vampire attempted to hold Tanya down, only to be thrown forward.
Edward Cullen had taken the fallen vampire’s place, holding her back and whispering something Demetri couldn’t make out. Had he not been as alert as he was, he might have missed the new sound to reach his ears. Another heartbeat.
While there were living among the undead in the snowy clearing counting the large wolves and the not-so-immortal child, this one was different. Heart pumping fast from adrenaline, but a typical sounding heartbeat nevertheless. Perfectly human.
The source of the heartbeat came from the clumsy one, who he now noticed was a young woman, that faceplanted on the ground.
And he wasn’t the only vampire to notice the human in their presence. The brawnier one of the Cullens was at the fallen human’s side in an instant, scanning for injuries while shooting Demetri’s coven with an icy glare.
“Why is it that your coven always finds a way to consort with humans, Carlisle?” Aro sighed, the human now on his radar.
“She isn’t like others of her kind,” Carlisle replied cooly, keeping any sign of worry or any reaction at all off his face. A smart tactic.
The woman was helped to her feet. “I’m okay, I’m okay,” she whispered to the Cullen who helped her up. “Thanks, Emmett.”
She glanced around her, slowly becoming aware that she was now the center of attention and not the child. Eyes growing wide as the realization hit her, she stared like a deer in headlights at the opposing coven of vampires.
Demetri took the opportunity to look at her more closely. For a human, she was very pretty even while she appeared fearful, her eyes darting between each of his coven mates; perhaps that was the hunter in him speaking, the inner beast that longed for the sweet, hot blood that pumped through her veins. Another feeling bloomed within him; protectiveness.
The more he looked at her, the more beautiful she appeared to be for him and the more he wanted to scoop the weak little human up and shield her from the situation at hand.
When her fretful gaze centered on Demetri, her face softened a bit, lips parting on their own accord.
Demetri let out a faint shocked gasp as he felt the entirety of his being gravitating towards the young lady, his own eyes widening. He began to fell his feet carry him forward before a hard hand landed steadily on his shoulder, earning a territorial hiss from him.
The hand belonged to Felix, who gave him a look of “What the fuck are you doing?”
That, he didn’t know.
Marcus hummed to himself, gliding to Aro’s side and placing his hand in his. Aro watched what his fellow leader had to show, and let out another equally hysterical laugh the escaped his lips when the child first stood before him.
"Today has certainly been full of surprises," Aro said gleefully, beaming at his brother in arms. Milky red eyes drifted to the human woman and then over to Demetri, an amused glint shining within the crimson. "Quite the unexpected outcome."
You had been both a surprise and a blessing to the Cullens in the short time that you knew them. Gifted with the power of healing with a single touch, you stumbled upon a hurt Renesmee standing over a dead deer, a deep cut in her side from the antlers and a panicked Bella Cullen while out on a hike. Whether they were vampires or humans, it did not matter to you - someone needed your help.
Leaning against the wall inside the Cullen’s home, you listened to Edward, Emmett and Carlisle go back and forth in a civil but heated debate. About you.
It all started because that man noticed you, that strange beautiful man. As soon as your eyes locked with his you knew you had an instant crush, and part of you felt guilty for it because of the circumstances at the time; the other half of you, however, was completely captivated.
“...Can’t stand in the way of fate,” you heard Carlisle argue.
“We can if it’s one of them,” hissed Edward.
“I gotta say, I’m on Ed’s side here Pops,” Emmett sighed, “his coven just tried to take us down, who’s to say he won’t hurt her?”
You sighed and threw your head back against the wall, staring up at the ceiling in frustration. When the Volturi had left the clearing, two lagged behind the rest; the beautiful man and the leader Aro.
Edward was the one to break the news; you were this handsome vampire’s mate. The uproar was instant. The Denali coven didn’t come near you after the news broke.
Suddenly, you heard a hiss. “Edward, what is it?” Carlisle asked?
Another voice, light and clear as a ringing bell, joined the conversation; Alice. “They’re coming back for her.”
 “To take her?”
“No, it appears he just wants to... meet her.”
Okay, it’s time I entered this conversation, you decided. Turning around the corner and walking into the living room, you frowned at the vampires. “Can someone please explain to me what exactly is going on? I have a right to know.”
The four spared each other glances. It was Alice who answered you. “Two of the Volturi guard are on their way here, they’ll be arriving soon. One of them is your mate who wants to meet you.”
You huffed, nodding as you came to process the new information. “Just to meet? Nothing more?”
Alice disappeared from sight. A cold arm wrapped itself around your shoulders. “It’s uncertain, I’m afraid.”
What do I do? you pondered, your stomach now a bundle of nerves. “Is there any harm in-?”
“Absolutely not,” Edward snarled, listening to your thought before you finished saying it.
On one hand, you couldn’t blame him for the hostility; this man was Edward and Bella’s main worry if the Volturi decided in favour of killing them all.
But on the other hand, you just had to know if this could be the real deal. How many times in life do you discover that soulmates exist and yours is willing and wanting to meet you?
Edward’s grimace vanished as he straightened up. “They’re here.”
The men left and it was only you and Alice. You began to think a hundred miles an hour. Turning around to face her in her iron grip, you put your hands on her shoulders. “Alice, can you see anything involving me getting hurt if I go out there?”
A distant look flickered in Alice’s golden eyes. “I... no, I don’t see anything.”
“Then let me go out there,” you pleaded.
She sighed. “Y/N, Demetri is dangerous. Trust me you don’t want anything to do with him.”
Demetri. Now you had a name to the handsome face.
"Can I at least be the judge of that for myself? Seriously Alice, do you see me not meeting him at all?"
Her face softened and once more her eyes became vacant as she gazed into the future. A few seconds later her eyes snapped back to your own. "...I guess I do see you meeting him," she informed you grudgingly.
Surpsinging the tiny vampire, you gave her a hug. "Thank you, Alice."
Taking a deep breath, you headed out, vaguely hearing Alice mutter to herself "Edward and Bella are going to kill me."
You heard them before you saw them. Three familiar voices arguing with two unfamiliar ones; it was easy to pick our Carlisle being the calm and diplomatic one whereas Jasper and Edward were not.
"Your coven has done enough, leave," you heard Edward snarled.
Pausing at the steps, you hovered there, uncertain of what to do. You could see them now - the vampire that wanted to meet you was joined by a much taller vampire, who had his hand on your "mate's" shoulder. Gone were their medieval-esque fancy black robes; it surprised you to see that they donned regular clothing.
"That business is the clearing is done with and quite frankly I could care less about," Demetri spat, losing his patience. "Please let me see her."
"No. Not happening."
“Why aren’t you a filthy hypocrite, Edward.”
Ah, fuck it.
Heart hammering away in your chest, you marched over to the band of arguing vampires. They all turned and watched your approach, Demetri's face softening from the angry scowl he wore just seconds ago.
Jasper raised a hand in warning. "You might wanna go back inside, Y/N."
You swallowed hard, trying to keep any sign of fear or anxiety from bubbling to the surface although you knew when it came to Jasper that was a fruitless effort. "No. This is about me, so I think I want to have a say in this."
"Y/N I really don't think it's a good idea for you to be -" Edward began with an exasperated expression, but you cut him off.
"No! Hell no - you're all trying to decide for me on something that I really should be deciding on myself!" You argued. Your voice wavered with emotion and you let out a shaky breath to try and steel yourself. "Please let me be the judge, guys."
The Cullen men all shared glances with each other. Taking the moment while they were preoccupied, you approached Demetri slowly until you stood before him.
Being up close to him was a little... distracting, you had to admit. His handsome, perfectly sculpted face, his dark blond hair that looked so damn soft up close, those eyes...
It really isn't fair just how intoxicating vampires are to be near, you grumbled to yourself. "Your name is Demetri, right?"
He looked taken aback at your words, his lips parting slightly. You figured it was the forwardness of how you were approaching him; if only you knew that hearing his name fall from your lips made him melt inside.
"If I agree to speak with you, will you swear that you won't do anything to hurt me?" It was hard to keep the anxiety out of your voice now. Lower lip beginning to quiver, you kept your gaze hard and determined.
Demetri nodded, a serious look in his eyes. "I swear, harming you would never be my intention."
If they could breathe, everyone would have been holding their breath while they waited for your response. You were mulling it over internally, thinking of the pros and cons of potentially having a vampire lover in your life.
Nodding in response, you half-turned to the others who were watching the exchange. “Privacy would be great?” you said shakily, not meeting anyone’s eyes.
Edward was about to protest when Carlisle shook his head at him, motioning him and Jasper to follow. The second Volturi vampire that had come with Demetri looked at the two of you curiously and with a hint of amusement. Winking at his friend, the next moment you blinked he was gone.
“Well... looks like it’s just us now,” you laughed nervously, struggling to meet Demetri’s eyes. All the gusto you had built up earlier was lone gone now you were alone with him.
Demetri gave you a small smile. “It would appear so.”
“So, how do we...” you struggled to find the words that fit the situation, “go about this? I’m not sure where to begin to what we should discuss if I’m being completely honest.” God, way to sound like a complete idiot, well done me.
To your surprise, he laughed quietly. “No need to feel embarrassed, love. I’m at a loss on what to do here too.”
“I’m n-not embarrassed,” you stammered a little too quickly, only making Demetri laugh more.
“The redness in your cheeks say otherwise.”
Your face burnt up more as if to prove his point. Resting one of your hands on your flaming cheeks, you smiled shyly at him, offering your free hand. “I’m Y/N, by the way.”
Clasping your hand gently in both of his, Demetri’s laughter faded until he was simply beaming at you with a look of pure happiness. The way he looked at you was infectious; you couldn’t help but return that same amount of happiness in your own smile. A good sign so far, for the whole soulmate thing.
“It’s my pleasure to meet you, Y/N,” he murmured, bringing your clasped hand up to his lips and pressing them against your knuckles softly. “You have no idea as to how much our meeting means to me.”
If your heart wasn’t hammering away before it certainly was now. “I had to give this a chance,” you replied breathlessly. “I feel like I’d have been an idiot if I turned up an opportunity to meet you.”
 “I’m thankful you didn’t.”
“Same here. So,” you began, biting your lip as you tried to think of where to begin, “would you be interested in going someplace more private to talk about all this? It would probably be a little awkward to go back inside and it’s kinda freezing out, sadly I don’t handle the cold as well as you vampires do...” You trailed off as you began to ramble nervously.
But Demetri only continued to smile, tilting his head to the side a little almost as if he was trying to get a better look at you. “I can take us somewhere if you like? I may be old but I know of some appropriate places for these kinds of discussions.”
“Asking me on a date, are you? and we’ve only known each other for two minutes!”
“Actually love, I’d say it’s closer to five minutes, therefore, my whisking you away is completely appropriate.”
You giggled at the playful banter. “Fair argument. Fine,” you pulled your hands back and lifted them up with a shrug, “whisk me away, Demetri.”
His soft smile turned devilish, a playful glint in his ruby coloured eyes as his name fell from your lips and before you knew it your feet were no longer on the ground and your chest was pressed against a solid surface, making you squeal. You were now on his back piggy-back style. “You’d better hold on tight.”
Knowing what was coming you tightened your hold on him for dear life. “Please don’t drop me whatever you do,”
The vibrations in his torso from his low chuckling against your chest soothed your anxiety, and you felt his hands gently tighten on your thighs where he held you. “Never in a thousand years, love,” he assured you.
As the cold wintery air began to whip your face, you buried your face into the crook of his neck. You believed him with every fiber of your soul, and your heart had never felt so full.
