Character you want?
Haven Lemos
Please describe the character for us
When Haven was born, her parents said they could have sworn they gave birth to the sun, so bright and cheerful their little one was. Growing up wasn’t easy for Haven—her family immigrated from Cuba to the United States when she was small. Haven doesn’t remember a life in Cuba, but she knows that everything her parents have done was to secure a better life for their children, and because of that Haven has always admired them.
Haven’s formative years were spent in Miami, Florida, which meant that even though she was away from Cuba, she was able to grow up immersed in her culture even outside of her own home. The older she grew, the more responsibilities fell to Haven, but she took every one of them in stride. With parents that were constantly working to make ends meet, Haven spent much of her free time taking care of her siblings. She may have grown up faster than most kids her age, but Haven never let that get to her. Her optimism and sunny disposition were constant. Haven worked as hard as her parents in every thing she did. She wanted to make them proud and wouldn’t take their sacrifices for granted. One day, Haven hoped to take care of them the way they took care of her.
As a child, most of her peers found her to be strange. Haven has always been quirky and unique, and to top it off she was smart and her favorite subject was science. Most of the other kids couldn’t quite relate—their favorite subject was recess, long after recess stopped being a thing. Haven became one of the top students in science for their school district, and graduated with AP courses in biology, physics, and chemistry (her favorite). To Haven, the logical next stop was the prestigious San Fransokyo Institute of Technology. She wanted to attend the school so desperately, but knew that with her family’s financial situation, it was only a dream. But with a push from her chemistry teacher, Haven’s dreams came true: admission and a full scholarship.
At SFIT, Haven truly came into her own. She was surrounded by students similar to herself, and lucky enough to spend every day learning more about the thing she absolutely loved. Chemistry came naturally to the girl, and it wasn’t long before she was conducting her own experiments, hoping to push the subject to new heights, beyond anything the world already knew. The only thing that made the experience better than she could ever imagine was the group of friends she almost suddenly found herself a part of. She couldn’t imagine how she had managed a life without the four of them. She even had a nickname among the group: Honey Lemon. (You’d have to ask Freddy why.)
It didn’t take long for the crush to develop. Tadashi Hamada was her friend and her equal. How could she not fall in love? The friendship blossomed into a full-on mutual flirtation after the two were paired up for a class project. She loved everyone in their group, but Tadashi easily moved from best friend to boyfriend. Not wanting to disrupt the group dynamic, the duo decided it would be best to keep their relationship quiet for now. The transition started slowly, with stolen kisses when no one else was looking, and much more free time dedicated to simply spending time together. They would lie awake for hours in each other’s dorm rooms, talking about science, their lives, and their futures.
Haven and Tadashi never got the chance to make the possibility of a future between the two of them official. Their junior year, Tadashi helped his brother Hiro enter the SFIT school science fair. Haven had heard so much about Hiro, and the whole group was there to support Tadashi’s younger brother. The kid was only 13, but he may have been the smarted thirteen-year-old Haven had ever known. Even at his young age, Hiro would be a perfect fit at SFIT. When a mysterious fire broke loose at the fair, everything changed. Students, faculty, and visitors all evacuated, and not moments after the last person was out of the building, the whole place exploded. When the smoke cleared in the early hours of the morning, one thing was clear:
Tadashi never made it out of the building.
Haven had never imagined heartbreak to feel this way. A piece of her heart was missing, and Haven was sure it would never feel whole again. How do you move on from such a loss? Whatever Haven felt at the loss of Tadashi, she put on a brave face when around her friends. Haven wasn’t going to stop being the ray of sunlight and optimism she’d always been, for all of them, for herself, and especially for Hiro. The young boy had now lost both his parents and his older brother, and with all the love she had for Tadashi, she was going to look after Hiro as much as she could.
With SFIT destroyed, the students were relocated to Elias. The new location helped Haven move on. She graduated from Walt University with top honors and started working toward building the future she’d talked so often about with Tadashi. Now she’s attending graduate school, working part time in a lab, and working as a teaching assistant in the Walt chemistry department. Tadashi is on her mind constantly. But Haven is looking forward to better days.
Second character choice
n/a
It’s time to see that sample para.
Peach cream smudged cheeks. A thin, careful stroke of liner. Mascara. Waterproof. Uncertainty behind saddened eyes. Hair twisted up into a high bun. The best way to keep it out of her experiments. He’d casually remarked that one day. Still she let wispy bangs hang loose. A generous swipe of neutral toned lipstick. Lips pressed together to distribute the color, and Haven sighed.
Heartbreak wasn’t supposed to happen this way. The love of your life wasn’t supposed to die at twenty-one.
Haven stared at her reflection, and the person staring back at her seemed like a muted version of herself. A neutral face, hair up, black dress, black tights, black everything. Haven fidgeted with the peter pan collar at her neck, the white a stark contrast to everything else. It seemed both so wrong and right at the very same time. She’d never been one to conform, and for that moment she knew that even in his death, Tadashi would be proud. Glasses were carefully replaced to their spot at the bridge of her nose. She’d chosen the translucent pair for this occasion.
A faint drizzle had started as she stepped out from the dorms, and she wondered idly how long the students would be able to stay. There wasn’t exactly a school anymore, but that was a worry for Future Haven. The weather wasn’t a surprise, especially for northern California this time of year, but still it felt appropriate. As if they sky, too, knew of the tragedy they mourned today. Meteorology was a science, after all, and whether they knew it or not, the science community had suffered a great loss.
By the time they reached the cemetery, rain poured from the sky. A fitting welcome, Haven thought, quickly stepping beneath Wyatt’s unfurled umbrella. Hers was a bright pink, a perfect spot of brightness in normal dreary weather, but today that didn’t seem right. Eventually Haven knew she’d put on her bright sunny disposition as often as she could, but right now was a time to let themselves mourn.
The service wasn’t terribly long, expected due to the rain. The plot was near his parents’, and every so often, Haven would look over to glimpse at Hiro. She couldn’t imagine how he was handling things right now. When all was said and done, the group began to disperse, planning to gather afterwards at Aunt Cass’s where friends and family could drink tea and share memories. Their little friend group, now minus a member, lingered, and she’s pretty sure it was Leiko who shoved the umbrella in her hand before they, too, left for the Lucky Cat.
So this was it. Haven Lemos, alone, and Tadashi Hamada’s grave. The plot of grass where he’d lay forever. It wasn’t far from where his parents lay, the three of them at least together again in their final resting place. Haven’s eyes lingered on the headstone, and the hyphen within which Tadashi’s entire life lay. All of his accomplishments, his light, his laughter, his love, her love for him, his brain, his smile, reduced to a punctuation mark, followed by a date past which the two of them would never truly be a couple.
Moments passed until finally Haven knew it was time. Gently she placed her hand atop the marble headstone, caressing it as if she would his face. The ‘I love you’ was implicit; she needn’t speak those three little words aloud. Gathering herself, Haven tightened her grip on the umbrella before heading in the direction of the Lucky Cat Café to meet up with the others at Aunt Cass’s.
This wasn’t the last time she’d see this place.
Anything else, love?

FIVE TROPES.
Monochrome Past - Honey doesn’t like to live in the past since she finds the future far more exciting. Everything that has happened to her up to this day has been merely a guide. Today will become history and then tomorrow and she likes to think of each day ending with the color sucked right on out of it and put right into the new day making it that much brighter.
An Immigrants Tale - Although she, herself, isn’t an immigrant, one of her parents is and thus she has an immigrants tale. It is one that continues even to this day as she fights against the inequality in her nation.
Gender Bender Friendship - In her life, Honey has gotten to know a great many people especially in Carthay and thus has made a few unlikely friendships. Where she is the smarts, the other is the beauty (specifically the male). However, just because she carries the brains for both of them does not mean the other person carries all the attractiveness.
Quirky Town - Carthay, Ca. That’s it. She lives in a quirky little part of a quirky little town and she loves it.
The Neutral Zone - Honey hates fighting. She hates controversy and having to battle it out even when its most necessary. So, more often than not, you will find her being Switzerland. The Neutral Zone!

For the Fandom questions Fandom: Big Hero 6 Ship: Fredashi Character: Tadashi (I can already guess most of your answers but I want you to answer them anyways. Pretty please)
Aw!!! You just asked something I will happily go on about for eternity, thank you!!! Let me take a crack at this! ^^
Big Hero 6:
Favorite character: Tadashi, honestly!
Least Favorite character: Oh man… Y’know, until recently I would have said Alistair Krei, but then my friend @dragonfangirl92801 got me started on this ADORABLE AU where Cass, Callaghan, and Krei were best friends in high school and pretty much the Marauders of the BH 6 universe (they even have nicknames for each other: Catwoman, Einstein, and Beethoven) and they end up all having happy endings (Callaghan and Cass eventually get married after Callaghan’s first wife dies and they raise Tadashi, Hiro, and Abi together as well as their own son, Harry, and there IS NO PORTAL INCIDENT so no revenge plot, no Tadashi dying in the fire, and Alistair is Best Uncle^TM) and IT. IS. PRECIOUS. So now I can’t really hate Alistair anymore… XD So I’d say–Yama. Yep, sorry Yama, you have no real redeeming qualities so throwing you under the bus! XD
5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon):
Fredashi
Hezra (Hiro/Ezra Bridger)
HoneyGoGo
Cassaghan
Uh… Kind of ran out of characters…. IDK, Mochi/Baymax if we want a crack ship? XD
Character I find most attractive: Tadashi. I’m gay, but still. DAMN.
Character I would marry: Also Tadashi.
Character I would be best friends with: I think you guys know this by now… XD
A random thought: Well, today I was listening to an old 80′s radio station and the song “Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go” came on and as much as I love the idea of Tadashi being a dork and singing “I Need a Hiro/Hero” to Hiro, I totally imagined Tadashi busting out into this song for GoGo in the middle of the Nerd Lab. Yes, there were a few bruised ribs created in the aftermath. It was worth it. XD (Honey Lemon has the whole thing on video and Hiro backed it up online where GoGo could never delete it.)
An unpopular opinion: I see Tadashi as more… feminine than most people are comfortable with? I mean, part of it’s just me projecting myself on the character because I RP him, but I also take a lot of my eldest brother (who’s a lot like my own Tadashi) and put it into him and my bro’s a total nerd and still unashamedly loves stuff like My Little Pony so I think Tadashi could totally love ponies and maybe even crossplaying and still be the character we see in the movie!
My canon OTP: Uh… Fred’s dad and mom? XD (Not a lot of options there, but I tried!)
Non-canon OTP: FREDASHI!!!!!
Most badass character: First person who came to mind was GoGo, but honestly? I think Aunt Cass is TOTALLY underappreciated and deserves the title! She raised two nephews all on her own even though she had no clue what she was doing, survived losing at least two family members (whichever one of Hiro and Tadashi’s parents was her sibling and then Tadashi), ran a Cafe all on her own while still being extremely involved in her nephews’ lives, AND put up with all of Hiro and Tadashi’s crazy inventions and schemes? BADASS.
Pairing I am not a fan of: Uh… CallaDashi? No hate to other shippers, but just not my thing. Also maybe TadaGoGo? Also not hate, I just–I don’t really see it? But hey, what I love about BH 6 is that there are no canon relationships and there’s kind of evidence for any ship if you really look for it (PLEASE BH 6 show don’t ruin this!) So feel free to ship whoever you choose, I love all of you even if we don’t have the same favorite ships!
Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): Uh… Hm. Maybe Fred? Like, he was mainly played off as just the comic relief, but if you look into his backstory (canon Disney material!) he volunteered for countless charity organizations and audited classes at SFIT just for the sake of learning, even if it wasn’t a part of his degree plan! He somehow managed to do all of that, PLUS work on his own English degree, PLUS be a university mascot, PLUS keep up with all his nerd fandoms that we can only assume he’s in, PLUS being there for all of his friends when they needed him?? DUDE. FRED. IS. AMAZING. And seriously one of the most underrated characters in the movie!!!!
Favourite friendship: I love all of them!!! //
Fredashi:
when or if I started shipping it. Not gonna lie, my original ship was TadaHoney (that’s what got me into the fandom) but then my best friend @kingdomheartsloversstuff somehow got me started on Fredashi and, well, the rest is history!!! XD (Shipping Fredashi honestly helped me actually come out so yeah, they’re pretty important to me.)
my thoughts: PRECIOUS CINNAMON ROLLS TO PURE FOR THIS WORLD>
What makes me happy about them: Nerdy best friends who go from reading comics together at Fred’s house while doing superhero movie marathons and going to conventions in extremely detailed cosplays to being precious boyfriends who do the same things? YES PLEASE!
What makes me sad about them: The Fire NOPE DON’T REMEMBER IT DIDN’T HAPPEN
Things done in fanfic that annoys me: Um… Probably that of the very few Fredashi fics that are out there that aren’t written by me (*hint**hint*Plz check out my FF or AO3 accounts for fluffy fanfics Plz and Thankies? XD) a lot of them are hardcore smut. Like, I can handle some heavy fluff, but when pretty much the entire premise of the fic is just Fred and Tadashi having sex with no real character or relationship building? I just… Sorry, I can’t do it. I’ve tried because I’m desperate for content, but I just can’t.
Things I look for in fanfic: Good relationship building, lots of sweet/awkward/nerdy moments! Slowburns hurt but they hurt so good so I guess those are okay too? XD
My kinks: Fred and Tadashi being happy together for forever, no fire happening or Tadashi surviving the fire, and no one touches the cinnamon rolls ever again, AMEN.
Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: Well… I mean, TadaHoney is okay, I guess? Not my ship anymore, but there’s some pretty cute stuff for it. As for Fred? I remember seeing some cute stuff for GoGozilla, and for Fredsabi, too, so either of those would be alright, I think. (BUT I AM STILL DIEHARD FREDASHI ‘TIL THE END, YOU CAN PRY IT FROM MY COLD DEAD FINGERS!)
My happily ever after for them: Tadashi somehow survives the fire (I love the idea that maybe Fred’s dad rescued him!) and them being reunited and after graduation getting married! Hiro and Tadashi start their dream company, Hamada Bros Inc, and Fred becomes a sci-fi/fantasy writer! Eventually Tadashi creates technology so that he and Fred can have biological kids and they have two precious children, a little boy named Danny and little girl named Rose and are amazing uncles to Hiro and Ezra’s babies, Pypey (adopted), Hope, and Dev!

Surprise!
This is a little birthday gift for @xdarkxenergy!! I hope you like it :D
This fanfiction has themes based off of her fanfiction The ELEMENT Project, so if you haven’t read it, check it out!  ---
Fandom: Big Hero 6
Rating: K
Characters: Tadashi Hamada, Hiro Hamada, Fred, Wasabi, Honey Lemon, Gogo, Baymax, Aunt Cass....and your lovely OC’s! Danika, Aspen, Ted and Zach! (Yay, I finally wrote something involving them too! :D)
Word Count: 2,161
Summary: Tadashi and all his friends and family are planning a little surprise...
While the Lucky Cat Cafe was closed, it felt just as busy as any regular day. Everyone was over, trying to finish up certain tasks in a rush. Yet, they all strived for perfection. To them, this day was no ordinary day. It was a day of celebration; of showing someone that they are appreciated. However, if they were to pull off such a surprise, they had to be quick, sneaky and clever. More than anything, they were equally looking forward to the end result of this day.
Tadashi walked down the stairs into the cafe, watching as everyone was working hard. His first instinct was to walk over and check on how his outgoing siblings, Hiro and Danika, were doing.
“Hey, you two,” he stated as he approached them; a hand being gently placed on their upper backs. “How’s the wrapping going?”
The question only earned a groan from his brother. “Awful! Bro, I know why we’re doing this, but why would you put me in charge of wrapping? You know how bad I am at this.”
Across the table came a cheerful giggle from their sister. “It’s really not that hard once you get the hang of it. Here, let me help.” Danika moved the present Hiro was working on closer to her. “Your problem is folding the sides in. You have to fold them like this,” she explained, showing her barely older brother the technique of present wrapping.
As appreciative as Hiro could have been, he instead rolled his eyes in annoyance. “I’ve been doing that this whole time!” He exclaimed, growing impatient. “Maybe I should invent a robot that wraps presents perfectly no matter how big or small it is.”
Tadashi chuckled at the idea. Hearing his brother’s constant robotic ideas never failed to lighten his mood. “Not a bad idea, knucklehead. But for today, I would suggest doing it yourself.” The eldest Hamada ruffled Hiro’s hair and placed a quick kiss on top of Danika’s forehead before parting ways. He admired how well his two younger siblings got along. When Danika was first adopted into the family, Tadashi was so unsure of how her and Hiro would get along. The two didn't have the easiest start, but now they were inseparable and Tadashi couldn't be happier.
“Whoa, ‘Dash!” A familiar voice yelled, snapping Tadashi out of his thoughts. Looking down, the Hamada saw his good friends, Fred, Ted and Zach working on some decorations. “You almost stepped on that balloon!” Ted warned, moving it out of the way.
“Sorry,” Tadashi said apologetically. He examined the work area that the trio had created. The floor was covered in decorations that would soon be hung up all around the cafe. “How many balloons are you going to put up?”
“How many balloons did we buy again?” Zach asked, picking up a bag that was full of multicolored balloons.
“About a hundred I think.”
“Well that's how many are going up then!”
Tadashi shook his head, but couldn't help, but laugh. He just knew Ted and Zach would love Fred and vice versa. It was as if they knew each other since birth. They truly were brothers from other mothers.
“Where's the confetti?” Fred asked, frantically searching the area.
“Relax, dude! I got all the confetti we need right here!”
Tadashi’s eyes widened at the sight of how much confetti they had. “Guys! How many bags is that?”
“Only ten. You can never have too much confetti am I right, boys!”
“No way,” someone from behind them said. Looking over, they saw Wasabi who was frowning in disapproval due to the amount of confetti they were planning on using. “That is way too much! Do you have any idea how hard it is to clean up confetti? I do not want to be spending hours after the party cleaning up ten bags worth of this stuff!”
With Wasabi naturally being on cleaning duty, it was understandable why he didn't want too big of a mess to clean up. And with the amount of bags they had, he knew he would have to put a stop to their idea.
“Do you know how confetti works? It gets everywhere!” He shrieked, attempting to persuade his friends to think twice about their decorations. “And this is the cafe! If all ten bags get dumped everywhere, it’ll take months to get every piece out.”
The three exchanged looks with one another, processing their friends’ words.
“So...five bags?” Zach suggested.
Wasabi’s eyes opened in disbelief. “Wha--no! Do you see how much confetti is in each bag?! Do you!? I would normally allow one bag only, but since this is such a special occasion, I’ll let you use two.”
The compromise, while disappointing to them, didn’t stop them for cheering. “Aw man, you’re the best, dude!” Ted stated as Wasabi parted ways from them.
As Wasabi contently walked away, a warm smile formed on Tadashi’s face. Seeing his old and new friends together brought joy to him. They’ve all been close for a long time now, but seeing their friendships stronger than ever was one of the simple things that held Tadashi together.
“Let me know if you need help finishing up that banner. I’m gonna go check on the girls, okay?”
Tadashi walked into the kitchen area of the cafe, witnessing Honey Lemon, Aspen and his aunt, Cass cleaning up a powdery mess. How it ended up all over the counter and floor was beyond him, but he wasn’t going to ask any unnecessary questions. He couldn’t quite place it, whether it being what today was all about or that all of his friends were together in the same room, but he just felt overwhelmed with happiness. Unfortunately a feeling that he doesn’t experience as much these days given his past, but that wasn’t what mattered right now.
“Need some help in here, ladies?” Tadashi offered, grabbing a hold of a mop.
The girls, while slightly startled by Tadashi’s presence at first, couldn’t be happier to see him. Even with the three of them there, they all could admit they could use an extra hand for cleanup.
“Yes, thank you, sweetie.” Cass turned to the oven, announcing the completion of the baked good inside.
“So, what flavor did you decide to use?” Tadashi asked as he drenched the floor with mop water.
“Well, we originally wanted to a flavor that isn’t too standard,” Aspen began to explain, looking oddly disappointed.
Honey Lemon noticed this, and took the initiative to explain the rest. “--but we went with chocolate and played it safe.”
Tadashi placed a hand on Aspen’s shoulder, sending a friendly smile her way. “Hey that’s great. You can never go wrong with a classic flavor. Besides, I’m sure you two will figure out a really great way to decorate it. Though, I have to ask why did you put it in the oven?”
“What do you mean?”
“Well, I have fire powers. I could have baked your cake way faster than the oven.”
His joke earned nothing, but laughter. Accepting his mutation and powers was one of the hardest things he has ever had to overcome. Even to this day, it still surprises him what he can do. But being able to make lighthearted fun out of it was just proof with how far he’s come.
The scent of the cake seemed to hit all their nostrils simultaneously as they all hummed together. “Something tells me this cake is going to be a tasty one,” Cass declared.
In the midst of all the fun they were having, Tadashi noticed that something was a little off. He couldn’t quite place it at first, but then he realized what it was. “Hey...wasn’t Gogo supposed to be working with you?”
“She was, but she decided to be on lookout for our...special guest.”
Tadashi rose an eyebrow, finding it a little concerning that Gogo wanted to be alone. Though, he should have known it would happen sooner or later. Baking had never been her thing. If she didn’t want to help with that, she didn’t have to. The fact that she was here with everyone else today was what truly mattered. It was only a matter of time before the celebration would begin.
Shrugging it off, Tadashi offered if he could be of service for them, but he was dismissed. It was probably for the best since he had to take care of something himself real quick. He had almost forgotten that he needed to activate Baymax. It was just as important for his own invention to be attending this event as it was for everyone else.
By the time he activated him and got him downstairs to the cafe, everything was just about ready. The gifts were all wrapped, the decorations were almost all put up (Ted being in the process of hanging the banner) and the cake was frosted. Tadashi’s heart fluttered in an exciting manner. The party was about to start at any time. Only one person needed to arrive right now and he could hardly wait for that moment.
“Everyone! They’re here!” Gogo yelled, loud enough for everyone to hear.
Everyone froze in their tracks for a second before scrambling to get into place.
“Guys, get over here! Places people!”
The group of friends gathered closely together, facing the door to the cafe. They anxiously waited as they heard footsteps approach. It seemed to take forever for the door to finally open.
But once it opened, they all yelled one thing together.
“Surprise! Happy Birthday, Megan!”
---
(Bonus Part! Just for laughs)
The reaction they all received was unforgettable. They successfully surprised a very important person to them all. The party had officially started, and the next few hours would be filled with fun activities. It was certainly going to be a day to remember.
Though, before anyone could embrace the special guest, another group of people barged into the cafe. One was definitely of the human race. Another quite close in looks, but their pointed ears were questionable. There was a blue, masculine creature with a yellow feminine one by his side. Obviously as far from human as one could get. But what was really interesting was the tall, purple guy behind them all.
This group of unknown individuals was never seen by any of the others. Well...except for one. If it wasn’t surprising enough to be in a room by one group of fictional characters and OC’s, another had just made their way in.
“Who are you guys?” Tadashi asked, breaking the uncomfortably quiet silence.
The purple creature took the initiative to apologize on their behalf for barging in. “I am Thace,” he announced to the room of people. “This is Telenum, Rolo, Nyma and Shiro. We have travelled through galaxies to be here on this exact day for uh….x...darkxenergy’s birthday? Is that how I say it?” He asked, earning a polite nod in return.
“Xdarkxenergy? You know that’s not actually her name, right?” Ted asked the purple, bat-looking alien. “It’s Megan. Xdarkxenergy is just a screenname. How do you even know her?”
Rolo chuckled arrogantly in response. “Uh, she only writes the most important story ever. OURS. Ever heard of Heathens?”
“Uh duh! Who doesn’t like that song?”
The answer was enough to make Rolo slap himself in the forehead. “No! That is our story! The story she writes about us!”
“Wait, how do you all know her?” Shiro asked, trying to get some answers himself.
“She’s written a story about all of us too! It’s called The ELEMENT Project. Pretty cool, huh?”
Rolo scoffed. “Sounds kinda lame if you ask me.”
“Oh really?” Danika asked with a smirk growing on her face. “If it’s so lame, then why do we have a sequel?”
“Hey! Our story has only just begun! And its updates are pretty consistent. Let me guess, you guys are lucky to get a new chapter every month or something?”
“We got an update pretty recently thank you very much! Besides, it’s not when a new chapter gets published, it’s the quality of each chapter that matters.”
“Yeah well, at least most of our characters are actual people. She had to create half of you! You won’t even make it in the series I bet.”
Danika went over to Tadashi, whispering something in his ear. “What does he mean by, ‘series’?”
Before anyone else could say anything, the cafe door opened yet again, but this time it was someone the nerd gang and mutants (especial Tadashi) knew.
“Hey guys!” Evie greeted, walking inside the cafe with a neatly wrapped gift. “Sorry for being so late. I got caught up with school work and I had to deal wi--”
Her words got caught off with the scene unfolding in front of her. Most people she knew, but the obvious ones she didn’t. It was then that she felt a thick tension in the air.
“...Am I interrupting something?”
---
Aaaand, I’ll leave it there! xD I hope you enjoyed that! I wanted to add that it was sorta a voltron fic too, but I didn’t want to spoil that surprise xD Happy sweet sixteen @xdarkxenergy ! I hope you have a great day! :D

Chapter Two
They were just getting ready for the big night. Hiro was watching and waiting carefully, his robot Megabot tucked securely underneath his hoodie narrowing his eyes when Masashi finally walked in the Hamada residence. Dressed in a simple white buttoned shirt and grey pants.
“So: You’re siding with the enemy?”
Masashi rolled his eyes, making himself comfortable on their couch. “You know your older brother is actually a pretty cool person if you spend some time with him.”
The youngest Hamada sibling rolled his eyes in response, shaking his head in disbelief. Although Hiro would never admit it out loud, as of late he had begun to feel as if his own friendship with Masashi was dwindling day by day. They used to have so much fun together when they first met. “Sounds like weird and boring stuff to me.” Hiro muttered, seating himself beside his friend.
“He only wants to make sure our scholarships don’t run out is all.” Masashi commented, trying to be more patient with him.
“How DID you guys get in anyway?”
Masashi’s mouth opened as if he were going to give him the explanation, but they both began pondering. Really…Tadashi didn’t even tell him or his own brother just how they managed to get in a university like SFTI.
“Masashi…I fear for all of us now.” Hiro commented dryly, pulling his legs up to his chin. “Still though, I never would’ve thought someone like you would end up at that nerd school.”
“It’s a little thing called ‘growing up’. You’re just ticked at me for not going to those Bot fights without Tadashi-.”
 “What about me?”
Masashi let out a yelp the minute Tadashi entered the room, all the while trying not to blush at how he looked this evening…dressed in a tuxedo that fit his body perfectly, grumbling as he tried getting his tie on however thanking Masashi who helped him get it straightened out chuckling sheepishly. “Ah thanks Masashi: I would have been here all night trying to get this thing on.”
“No problem,” Masashi chuckled.
“Now what was it you two were talking about?”
But seeing his brother and best friend look at one another, then give him matching innocent smiles saying ‘Nothing Dashi. Nothing at all’ only made him more apprehensive by the minute.
I’ll bring it up later after the thing’s over… he decides in the end, scratching the back of his neck. “Anyway: Masashi are ya all set? And you’re sure you don’t want to come with us, Hiro?”
Hiro scoffed with his trademark eye roll. “Why on Earth would I go to your nerd school?”
 “Because it’s actually entertaining?”
“Oh you mean showing the audience this? ‘Here’s my virtual girlfriend/boyfriend folks! Aren’t they fiiiiiiine?’ He let out a yelp when Masashi bopped him on the head giving him a look of disbelief. “Um…ow! What the heck was that for Sashi?”
“Can’t you give your brother a break for once? And last time I noticed you aren’t such a hot-shot yourself in the dating pool.”
“Robotics is my true love.” Hiro dead panned.
“Aw you really don’t want us here do you?” Tadashi mocked giving him a grin. “Alright. No Gummy Bears for-.” He cursed under his breath when Hiro held up a bag of them. “Damn. …Oh crap Masashi we gotta get a move on! We’re already two minutes late.”
“Okay, okay! Don’t shove.”
 “Have fun love birds!”
 “WE AREN’T LOVE BIRDS!”
Almost the minute Tadashi slammed the front door shut and he heard his moped take off, a certain glint appeared in Hiro’s eyes as he grinned down at his Megabot.
Time for some real fun now
Xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo
The minute they arrived at the university and Masashi saw how…many cars were in the parking lot he swallowed a heavy lump in his throat. It’s okay…it’ll be okay. You won’t make a fool of yourself. Not this time… he repeated that little mantra of his over and over in his mind only to grin when he heard Fred’s familiar voice.
“The Duck-Tape Overlord has returned!” The young man shouted giving Tadashi and Masashi each a fist bump.
“Good to see you again Fred,” Tadashi chuckled looking at each of their friends. “I can’t believe we’re finally going to introduce Baymax to the community. This is going to be huge!” He gave a sheepish grin. “We’ve been working on this for a month I’d say.”
“You mean using me as your pin cushion? While working out on the bugs?” Masashi teased, laughing at the playful narrow of his friend’s eyes.
“Will you stop with that? And duct tape is completely different from needles.”
GoGo gave a roll of her eyes at their playful banter before flashing Masashi a quick smirk. “Oh yeah: Masashi, Professor Ackerman was looking for you not too long ago.”
The minute she mentioned his name, Wasabi, Fred and Honey Lemon all ‘oooood’ in a childish manner whereas Masashi’s face flushed and Tadashi arched a curious brow. Professor Alex Ackerman was one of the newer ones at San Fransokyo Technical Institute: A young one, close to his late twenties and very attractive.
“P-Professor Ackerman? What’d he want to talk with me about?” Masashi made an attempt not to stutter.
“Yeah. Why does he want to talk to Masashi?”
GoGo gave a one shouldered shrug, shaking her head at Tadashi’s questioning tone popping her gum again. “Dunno,” she replied. “Just that he wanted to see you after the expo or something said he wanted to take you out for coffee if you weren’t busy that is.”
Again, Wasabi, Fred and Honey Lemon ‘ooood’ before snickering at the glare Masashi tossed at them. “Oh c’mon man,” Wasabi laughed giving him a nudge. “We’re just playin around with ya! We know you and the prof are only friends.”
“Sure you guys do.”
As they started to prepare Baymax however, getting him geared up and such Tadashi was silently brooding behind the group. His hands clenched slightly at his sides biting the inside of his cheek.
Professor Ackerman does seem to be focusing on Masashi a lot lately…every time we’re together he’s always right there with us. But he shook his head, actually giving himself a little slap across the face. Oh will you stop it? He’s a good guy: You can’t prevent Masashi from going with other people that wouldn’t be right. It’s only for coffee anyway.
“Wait, wait!” Honey Lemon’s voice snapped him out of his thoughts when the ‘eccentric’ girl pulled them all in for a group photo. “Say Baymax!”
 “Baymax!”
 CLICK
“We’ll be right in the crowds.” She gave them a good luck wink and the group headed down off the stage save for Tadashi, Masashi and Fred that is.
Masashi could feel his heart just pounding against his chest, surprised it didn’t leap right out and hop off the stage making a break for the exits. He could practically feel everyone in the crowd watching the trio with anticipation and curiosity. But the ones who made him most nervous were Professor Callaghan and Professor Ackerman.
Someone pressed the play button. Music began playing from the speakers.
Typical Tadashi….the Hamada’s always have to make a big presentation for everything. And is that VIDEO game music? He gave the older of the two a ‘Really? Are you for real?’ kind of look but all he received was one of his infamous grins.
The trio then proceeded to introduce themselves, Masashi pleased with himself that he didn’t stutter like a fool this time. “Okay: First a little adjustment has to be made. After all it’s not science without a little pain right?” Some of the crowd actually laughed at Tadashi’s joke.
RIIIIIIIIIP
Everyone cringed or hissed at Fred’s pained cry. Well almost everyone.
“Woman up!” GoGo shouted from her spot.
Tadashi motioned Masashi to speak next, looking with concern as did Fred. This was it. All eyes were on him. He could see Honey Lemon and Wasabi giving him an assuring thumbs up, nodding eagerly for him to speak. Refusing to let his stage fright overcome him this time, Masashi loosened himself up and cleared his throat activating Baymax whom drove over towards Fred.
The robot inflated giving a cute little wave. “Hello. I am Baymax, your personal health care companion.”
Masashi stepped forward making a gesture. “This, ladies and gentlemen is Baymax. The world’s first portable robot medical kit.” A smile actually crossed over his face when some in the crowd gave impressed awes and oos.
Wow. Am I actually talking? Not stuttering like a moron? Huh. This isn’t so bad after all
“I was alerted you were in need of medical attention when you said ‘ow’.”
Oh he and Tadashi tried not to laugh when Fred commented on his ‘man hair’ ripped out of his chest. “Dude! You ripped my man hair off!”
Those ten little faces appeared on Baymax’s chest. “On a scale of one to ten how bad do you hurt?”
Masashi could see Fred wanted to say ‘Crying phase’ but the minute he saw GoGo cracking her knuckles he swallowed. “Uh…eight?”
Tadashi fought his hardest to not face palm ignoring the smirk Masashi threw his way. Why did everyone say eight? "You have a small epidermal abrasion on your upper torso." Baymax said, holding one finger up.
“Don’t hurt me.” Fred whimpered, squeezing his eyes shut only to crack one open when Baymax applied the same antibiotic he gave Masashi just some nights ago.
“Now don’t let Baymax’s huggable/cute design fool you,” Tadashi took over next for a minute seeing some people held questioning looks on their faces. "He has a carbon fiber skeleton that makes lifting even the heaviest patients a breeze." Watching the robot pick Fred up with ease.
 “He’s like a marshmallow!”
Masashi actually let out a laugh along with some others from the crowd at his friend’s reaction, though when he locked looks with Professor Ackerman he instantly turned away clearing his throat. "The heart of Baymax is his healthcare chip,” Tadashi continued.
"Programmed with over ten thousand medical procedures and home to his caregiving matrix." Masashi said after.
"I cannot deactivate until you say, you are satisfied with your care."
“In that case….we’re satisfied with our care.” The duo said in unison. Once Fred had been placed down, the robot stepped back in his case sealing himself up. “And that, ladies and gentlemen is Baymax.”
The feeling of accomplishment coursed through their bodies when the crowd burst forth with grand applause. They even heard a whistle or two from Wasabi and Honey Lemon, letting out sheepish laughs thanking everyone for attending. With that, the trio headed off the stage followed by their robot laughing when Honey Lemon nearly glomped them in a hug.
“You guys were so great! And Masashi you actually overcame your stage fright!”
“Thank God it wasn’t like last time when you stood frozen the entire time.” GoGo added slapping him once on the back in acknowledgement.
Masashi chuckled before grinning at Tadashi. “Man: Just wait until Hiro sees Baymax! He’s going to love him.”
Tadashi grinned back pulling the other in a one armed hug. “I’m sure he will Masashi.” An older man then came up to the group followed by Prof. Ackerman. The students instantly perked up at the sight of Callaghan but Tadashi pursed his lips seeing Ackerman, putting a little bit more pressure on Masashi’s shoulder without knowing until the other spoke up in a whisper. “Oh. Sorry Masashi.” He muttered.
“Very well done Mr. Hamada, Mr. Nishino.” Callaghan said with honesty, holding out two envelopes. Tadashi grinned and took them.
“Thank you so much Prof. Callaghan. It means a lot.”
Professor Ackerman spoke up next smiling genuinely at them. “That truly was an outstanding presentation. One of the best I’ve seen yet: You really do take after your father don’t you Masashi?”
The red head gave a bashful sound of laughter, a blush appearing on his face. “Thank you professor Ackerman but I’m nowhere near close to my father. He’s a whole other level compared to me.”
They talked for some minutes, Masashi feeling Tadashi glare at Ackerman from behind his back when the professor took his hand in his giving it a soft squeeze. “I’ll still see you on Tuesday then?”
“Of course sir. Tuesday it is.”
 Xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxo
The night air was always cooler compared to the hot/humid air in the morning for summers in San Fransokyo. Wasabi had suggested they all go out to eat as a group but Masashi and Tadashi had grown a little too tired and from the lack of sleep they both had been receiving due to staying up so late at night.
“So…you two are still going together?” Tadashi asked, Masashi blinking in a bit of surprise as to why he was asking him about his meeting with Ackerman. “Are you sure it’s appropriate for a student to be out with his professor?”
The younger of the two arched a brow, getting on the older male’s moped. “Appropriate? Dashi, you’re making it seem like I’m dating the guy…we’re just-.”
“I’m not making it seem like it’s anything!” Tadashi snapped suddenly. Befuddled by his own sudden shouting. He very, rarely shouted at anyone no matter what. Not even when Hiro was driving him nuts.
Masashi picked up on that for he narrowed his eyes at his friend, lips pursed and crossing his arms over his chest. “Are you saying I’m making it seem like something then? I don’t know why you’re becoming so jealous of Professor Ackerman lately.”
Tadashi let out a scoff, adjusting his helmet gripping his handlebars perhaps a little too tight. “Jealous? You’re accusing me of being jealous? Ha don’t make me laugh.” He kicked the moped in gear after making sure Masashi had his helmet on, speeding down the street.
Masashi grumbled something under his breath that fortunately for Tadashi he couldn’t understand when they reached the Lucky Cat Café, Tadashi skidding his moped to a halt the two giving one another a good long glaring look. “I just don’t know what to say when you tell me you’re going on a date with your own professor.”
“A date? Really Tadashi?” Masashi sighed wearily, shaking his head in disbelief. “Did I even say it was a ‘date’? No I didn’t. I think you need to clean out your ears!”
Both were clearly offending each other for Tadashi glowered down at Masashi who glared up at the taller of the two in return.
“….I don’t know why you’re being like this all of a sudden towards Professor Ackerman,” Masashi said coolly. “But I’m going, Tadashi. Whether you like it or not.”
And that was that.
When Masashi walked briskly back to his apartment that was only a few blocks down from the café, Tadashi lent against the doors of the building squeezing his eyes shut wondering just why the Hell he was acting like this lately.
